Ooh thank you! I listen to a TON of stuff so here we go!

First off, my all-time favorite band is Queen (I'm actually going to see them in October, and I am UNBELIEVABLY excited!!)

I listed to a lot of metal and punk rock: Ice Nine Kills, As Everything Unfolds, Senses Fail, Against Me!, Green Day, Counterfeit., Halestorm, Bad Wolves, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Soundgarden, Trivium

Also some slightly older metal: Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, System of a Down, Black Sabbath, Dio, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Tesla, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth

(and just a lot of 70's and 80's music, not all metal - I like Foreigner, Electric Light Orchestra, Elton John, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, U2, David Bowie, all of that sort of thing too)

I really like alt rock and pop rock (I guess that's what you'd call these? idk): Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Twenty One Pilots, Fun., Imagine Dragons, AJR, Weezer, Muse, Paramore, Mother Mother, Crashing Atlas, Tigress, As December Falls, Foo Fighters, The Smashing Pumpkins

(side note everyone just calls them "Smashing Pumpkins" but that's not right. it's THE Smashing Pumpkins. Smashing is an adjective)

I also LOVE The Amazing Devil but I have no idea where they fall in terms of genre. They're just fucking awesome.

I grew up on country music and live in the American South, so that's got to make an appearance too: Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Johnny Cash, Tim McGraw. Recently I've been getting into Brothers Osborne too, thanks to hearing Skeletons in the Sandman series

I'm also big on showtunes: Wicked, The Book of Mormon, Chicago, Kinky Boots, Tick Tick Boom!, Hamilton (don't @ me I just like the music), and just theatre in general. And opera too! My favorites are Die Zauberflöte, Fidelio, and Carmen - I'm particularly fond of Clémentine Margaine's performance as Carmen

Believe it or not, I'm sure I'm still missing a bunch. Like I said, I listen to a TON of music and even this is just what pops to mind off the top of my head. I could go into my favorite songs and albums too, but... I think I've been on this soapbox long enough, lol.

- Brad’s; obviously, a very popular guy and had a steady girlfriend for a while in the past so he’s got quite a bit of experience. That being said, he’s still; sometimes, just as easy to turn on as a repressed virgin.

1950s/60s Pastiche in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! - Throwback Review

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! is a charming pastiche of 1950s and 60s romantic comedies--highlighting fantastical notions of love--until it isn't.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! follows Rosalee Futch (Kate Bosworth) who works with her best friends Cathy (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Pete (Topher Grace) at their local Piggly Wiggly. One day when bored at work, she enters a Win a Date contest with her favorite heartthrob actor Tad Hamilton (Josh Duhamel).

Upon revisiting this 2004 romantic comedy directed by Robert Luketic and written by Victor Levin, I was initially charmed, but knowing how the film ends, I knew this would soon disappear.

One of the biggest issues with Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! is the decision to have its lead Rosalee end up with her friend Pete. Her response to his affections feels out-of-nowhere after he spends most of the film talking about how he deserves her love because he's always been here, obsessed with her.

Rosalee is written as an innocent young woman, who lives in a world where everyone else lives in the present day and she is stuck in a Doris Day influenced daydream.

The far-off, dreamy look in her eyes brings to mind the more fantastical aspect of this film's most successful romance. Pillow Talk (1959) explores the romance between Jan (Doris Day), an innocent, but not too innocent interior designer and Brad (Rock Hudson), a womanizing bachelor who writes songs--well, one song he changes the names in--in order to woo women. The differences between the characters make the film engaging and whimsical.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! starts with a similar innocent vs overly-experienced story, and displays more change in its male lead. In Pillow Talk, Brad lies to get closer to Jan, but the changes to his bachelor ways help earn Jan's trust again.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! twists the narrative once Tad lies, possibly to make the film more realistic for modern audiences, but her other love interest is largely forgotten until the finale, leading the decision to feel out-of-place.

The humor of Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! also feels like pastiche of the 1950s and 60s romantic comedies, highlighting Rosalee's innocence and the distance she and Cathy exhibit with Tad's Hollywood world.

A particularly memorable joke comes when Pete, trying to distance himself from the 'sleazy" Tad says, "I bet you in his life he's slept with like what, 15, 20 women?" Rosalee responds, "No way. That's not even physically possible."

Imagine this dialogue exchange in a 1950s/60s romcom, or even in a stylized film like Down with Love. There is something charming about this moment and how the humor talks about sex from a more hidden and innocent perspective.

The premise of the film even evokes a bygone era and the ease of romance in those times. Films where the lead ends up in a less-than-realistic romantic relationship have their own charm. Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! brings this charm early in the film, but quickly disappears when the film questions if they should subvert the tropes of the films from which they draw their inspiration.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! feels like a Doris Day/Rock Hudson film if she ends up with the Tony Randall character. This could work if both male leads were given as much development, but Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! falls for the charm of its hotshot actor lead, giving him all the big character moments.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! made its decoy lead too charming, nice, and willing to change, while the person she actually ends up with is a creepy guy who feels he is owed her love.

Josh Duhamel brings his character to life with the charm and magnetism of a matinee idol, including the real-life person that was used as partial inspiration for the character's name: Tab Hunter.

The film wants us to believe Tad is a sleazy hotshot that wants to steal Rosalee away from her friends and family, but he is given wonderful character development, showing just how much he wants to become a better person.

On the other hand, Pete tells one creepy speech about how often he stares at her and we are supposed to swoon and think they should end up together. Nobody in real life would ever end up with someone who yells "protect your carnal treasure" across an airport.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! could have been a wonderful homage and pastiche of a bygone era of romance, but trying to subvert the tropes through the film's ending took away some of its natural charm that was built through Tad's complexity and character development and the charming romance established between him and Rosalee.

The performances from Josh Duhamel and Kate Bosworth are especially endearing, harking back to the heart of romantic comedy cinema in the 50s and 60s. Bosworth's Rosalee reminds us of the heyday of Doris Day, while Duhamel displays the allure of 50s/60s heartthrobs, with a dash of the sophisticated charm of 1930s actors such as Cary Grant.

20/12/2020: Jal Joshua Lebumfacil (usually Carbuckety, and cover Mistoffelees) made his debut as Alonzo!

When I saw Kade’s face in place for Carbuckety on the cast board last night I was worried about Jal: he’s only just returned a few days ago from an absence of over a month, after he injured his knee on the 13th or 14th of November.

(The cast board in Daegu, incidentally, has photos instead of the plain text that they had in Seoul: much better for the audience there, I’m sure, but much harder for those of us trying to squint at a low-res photo from the other side of the world. You have to have the alphabetical order of the characters and the cast headshots memorised!)

Nor was Jal in for Mistoffelees, because that’s Xavier there. But there he is, second in the top row, right after Thomas as Admetus - and we have Jalonzo!

Previously when Fletcher Dobinson has been off, Alonzo has been covered by Aaron Lynch (Coricopat) and Taylor Scanlan (George/swing), Thalia Burt, or Caitlin New have covered Coricopat. But this time Taylor was busy covering Mungojerrie, and Caitlin wasn’t in the swings booth; so it was either Thalia covering Coricopat and Aaron up to Alonzo, or just moving Jal to Alonzo, and this time he got his chance!

Carbuckety was played by Kade Hughes, which meant that Bill Bailey was absent; but this cast is quite used to that by now, and I assume that, as usual, Bill Bailey’s parts were split between Carbuckety, Electra, and Mungojerrie.

Given how boneless Jal’s Carbuckety is I would have loved to see his slinky Alonzo in person. He must surely come across as a very young, slender, aloof Alonzo - one regular audience member described him as “so sassy!” - and oh, can you imagine this willowy little protector getting all huffy at Tugger, or having to take on Thomas Inge’s Macavity?

He also comes across as an Alone-zo, especially by contrast to Fletcher Dobinson’s hyper-social Alonzo who flirts with everyone and is physically very demonstrative: he hardly engages with anybody before the curtain call or during the final dance-out, stays quite a way back from the audience, and leaves fairly quickly. Here’s a gifset of him dancing the finale just before the actual curtain calls.

It has been a month since homecoming. After Bradley's head blew up, everyone left the gym, but I was too shocked to move. "(y\n), right?" a curly haired boy asked me, and his hand carefully touched my shoulder to wake me out of my freeze. He had a notebook in one hand, and It was slightly covered in blood.

"what up, Westinghouse!" Jeff Butters called, crossing the stage, "where my boys at?" the crowd cheered. "where do I begin?" he said, "I wanna thank my mom for meeting my dad-".

Before he finished the sentence, Bradley barged in and took the microphone. "listen up" he caked, and the microphone's feedback rang through the gym. "brad, you can't do that" the principle tried to stop him, but Brad seemed determined. "give me a second" he said, and when the principle tried to drag him off stage he pushed him away, "give me a second!".

"I would like to take this moment" Brad started, "to talk about something very important that affects everyone here". I immediately knew – what he was gonna say matters to no one else but him, and I had a strange feeling like something bad is about to happen/ his tone was so... aggressive, and his eyes priced someone, I just don't know who. "Sydney Novak!" he called. I guess she's the one he was trying to kill with his stare.

"hey Sydney, raise your hand" he said, and that was well enough for me. I hurried to the bathroom, hiding from the horrible situation. The principle Is right there, why is he not trying to stop this? I sat down on the floor. "-she's one hell of a writer" he said, and when I turned around for a second I noticed he's holding up a notebook. This is homecoming, it's supposed to be fun but my only friend ditched me to dance with some guy, and now this. "-but being a full on dyke-" I hear him say, and quickly go back to ignore his voice. I can hear, but I don't listen. don't listen, don't listen, don't listen – "everyone in her life thinks that she is a piece of shit, and I mean everyone" he says. I don't want to listen, this is her fucking diary. That's not my business.

"hey man, leave her alone!". Ducking finally. I should go out there and help her. I don't know her, but someone needs to back that kid up. the kid that is now lying on the floor because he got punched. Shit. I stare at the scene

"but that's not even the weirdest thing about Sydney Novak" Brad goes back to his speech. I get closer as he speaks, hoping to get the boy who stuck up for her away from the crowd of people. "get this, Sydney claims that she has-" he talks, and I'm almost there. Everybody screams as a red fluid rains inside the gum. My now brown-ish dress is covered in the gooey thing as well, and I realize that it's not a punch rain surprise. It's blood.

"it's her diary" the curly haired boy explains to me, "I'm Stanley, and we have to get out of here, come on" he says, and grabs my hand. Then we run. We run so fast, leaving the gym and the crazy thing that we just witnessed behind.

"hey, (y\n)" Stanley smiles at me, offering his hand. I shake it and pulling him into one of those "bro hugs". He laughs and decides to go along. "hey bro, how was history class?" he asks, lowering his voice to sound manly as we started walking to class. "yo, it was cool man, we talked about Hamilton and how he had bitches, what a dope dude, I aspire to be him" I say, lowering my voice as well. He looks at me, smiling, but his eyes said, "what the fuck?". "too much?" I ask in my normal voice. "a bit, yeah, but I'm pretty sure I heard Jeff saying that, so at least you were accurate" he laughs/ I'm taking a step past him and turning my face to him. I walked backwards, praying I won't run into a jock. Ever since homecoming, Sydney, Dina, Stan and I became quite unpopular. I knew the consequences, but they were nice fellas, and I needed some decent people to hang out with. Who cares about popularity when you got loyal friends?

"hey, we're still on for tonight?" I ask him. "of course, I wouldn't miss it for a Bloodwitch concert" he smiles. I give him a look, and he laughs. "okay maybe I will ditch you for Bloodwitch, but come on – it's Bloodwitch, and no offence – but a drive in 80's movie night is just not as awesome" he admits, and I smile. I stop walking. "thank you for coming with, I just really want to go, but going with Sydney and Dina is just kind of awkward, cause they're like… so obviously in love but not official and it's… yeah" I say. "no problem, I'd go anywhere with you" he says, "cause, you know, best friends and all that" he quickly adds, punching my shoulder awkwardly to show that were "bros". see, I made him promise not to fall for me. I'm a mess, and he is so incredible, he just deserves someone better then me. He's funny, and charming and so… open to the world. He tries to be good to everyone and he stays loyal to his morals, and friends, and he's just… shit.

"well, this is my class, bye" I say, going straight to room 405. "bye" Stan calls, waving. Shit, shit, shit. I really like him, huh? I mean I knew I'd have a crush the moment I finally looked at him on that evening, the one that had the nightmare-coming. I obviously noticed he's a good-looking guy, and he was sweet, but what I didn't know is how much. I was also surprised to find out it was not just a crush.

7:00 PM finally arrives. I walk outside, and stan Is already there, which is a surprise since he is famous for his tendency to be late. He is leaning against his car, hands in the pockets of a flowy, creme-colored pants paired with a floral button up. The colors work together well, and that wasn't surprising since he had a touch for fashion – he even had a brown belt to tie the whole thing together. "Hi" I smile at him. "Hi" he returns the smile and moves closer to me for a hug. He wraps his hands around my waist, and I wrap mine around his neck. "He smells nice" I think to myself and break the hug. I'm not falling.

We get to the car and start driving. "Let me hear your voice to bring me down\I'm waiting for your lips to bring me round\My life's shame and sorrow falling back\Lead me from my head down underground" We scream along to Bloodwitch on our way to the drive-in theatre. We finally get there, parking next to Syd and Dina, who borrowed her mom's car. Every pair is sitting on its own car.

The first movie to screen is The Princess Bride. "oh, I love this movie" Dinna says, "it's so sweet". "it's a bit too cliché for me" Syd says, "but it is really good" she adds quickly in order to not upset her not-girlfriend. "I agree with Syd" I say, "Cliché but good". "I'm with Dinna on this one, top 10- no, 5 best 80's movies" Stan joins to the conversation

.By the end of the movie, Stan's hand is hugging my shoulder and I lean onto him. we got popcorn together, and every time our hands met in the carton I blushed. The only thing I could do was hope he didn't notice. "since the invention of the kiss, there have been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure, this one left them all behind" I looked at Syd and Dinna just in time to catch Dinna pulling Syd in for a kiss. Soon enough u noticed every couple did the same. "this is so cli-" I say, turning back to look at Stan, but I don't even get to finish my sentence.Stan's hand cups my cheek, pulling me in. his lips crush against mine, but in the sweetest way imaginable. For a moment I lean into the kiss and return it. No, wait. Shit. "Stan!" I pull away, " I told you not to fall in love with me" I whisper-yell. "remind me again, why?" he asks, his eyes looking down at me with so much sadness. His hand is still on my cheek, but as I talk, he moves it to my shoulder.

"because... look, I'm a mess, Stan. I don't know how to be someone's girlfriend, and I like you and I don't want to hurt you" I say. "don't you think It's my choice?" he says, a bit annoyed. "look, it's really for your best" I insist, but he's not willing to give up just yet."don't you think that this hurt?" he asks. "I don't- see, it's just what I do, I hurt the people I love" I reply, sad smile across my face. "look, (y\n), I'd love to have my heart broken by you. I don't mind getting hurt cause then I'll know we tried, and if you like me back, it's just stupid to ignore it" he replies, and tears are threatening to fall down my cheeks. He really is the sweetest guy I've ever met.

"okay" I say, breaking the silence. "okay what?" Stan asks confused. "fine, you want to try this, you think it's worth it, so... okay" I say. "okay what?" he asks again, hoping for me to say a very specific phrase."okay, I'Il-" I try. I want to say, "be your girlfriend" or "date you", even "try it", but words were never my strong suit, so action it is. My hand grabs his chin and pulls him closer to me, and our lips meet once again."you will be my girlfriend" he completes the sentence for me when we pull away. "sure, yeah".

"thank god, it's about time" Dinna sigh. Syd and her are cuddled up, and Syd has the hugest smile on her face. "oh, like you're the one to talk" I say.

"the next film we are going to screen is back To The Future!" a voice says. "oh, this is the coolest movie-" Syd starts. "An ICONIC movie" I agree with her. "oh, the plot is so weird, it's about a guy who travels back in time and his mom develops a crush on him" Stan disagrees, and Dina is on his side once again. "yeah, and the movie basically says Johnny b Good was made by a white man, that's so fucked up".

If it was a teen movie, the camera will zoom out as a song starts playing for credits. I bet it'd be a Bloodwitch song. Maybe Fly.

I have thought about headcanon voices before for each one of them so this is gonna buy me some time searching for links and stuff djskdjsds

None of the links and voices I’m putting here are official btw, they work more like a reference to what they’d probably sound like. It’s all headcanon, this is a daydream and we’re in a simulation. You were warned.

For Brad, I like to think about a shy and calm yet boysh, sorta playful, curious, innocent voice. 

The candidate I like the most is Will Roland’s voice, specifically when he plays Jeremy in the musical “Be More Chill”. He just sounds like the classic outcasted, nerd teenager and suits Brad really well!

I can’t remember right now any other voices I thought for him aside from Danilo Gentili’s voice (no, brazilian friends, this is not a joke). He’s hosts a brazilian TV show so most of you won’t know him, but I like the way he sounds and I can see Toby speaking that way.

Alex and Elisa are actually pretty easy. You see, I’m a huge fan of Hamilton, so when I made them I wanted to name them that way so they could work as reference for one my fav couples ever. 

So, naturally, Lin Manuel’s voice is a good candidate to Alex’s, not only because he was based on Hamilton (the musical character, obviously) but also because I think Lin sounds energetic, playful and has a piercing voice that you will remember even if you don’t ever hear it again. All those characteristics suit Alex’s personality really well!

Buuuuut I’m not 100% sure to say it’s the perfect voice for him. I also like Jake Peralta’s (from Brooklyn Nine-Nine) voice too. It has nothing to do with Lin’s voice but I like how it also sounds energetic and a bit more childish even though he’s a fully grown man, which also matches Alex.

Finally, Siri is a mystery. I want her to sound serious but also with a childish tone since she’s a young adult and fits her personality as someone who feels the need to be mature and responsable all the time but inside is just as fragile as anyone else. I also like to imagine that she has a highish voice, not SUPER high but a lil bit high. I really like Nanna’s (the singer from Of Monster And Men) voice. She sounds a bit different when she isn’t singing, but I like her voice’s vibe for Siri.

Lucifer: Phantom of the Opera

Luci lives for the drama and Phantom delivers. Thinks Erik is in the right the entire time and bases his fashion sense off of him. Wishes he also had sexy underground sewer bedroom where he could seduce various ingénues. Nuts when Christine hits the high note. Has memorized Music of the Night but will never ever ever let anyone hear him sing it.

Mammon: A Very Potter (Porter???) Musical

So we know knockoff Harry Potter exists in the demonverse, so I am assuming this musical does too. Mammon wouldn’t tell anyone (except maybe MC) but he LOVES the HP series. He loves how dumb and silly the musical is (while still paying tribute to the books) and thinks Lauren Lopez is the funniest actress of our time. (He is RIGHT). Also awkwardly identifies with Malfoy. 

Levi: Cats

It’s not a stretch to imagine Levi would also have furry tendencies. Has a collection of dirty Cats fanart on his laptop. Has a Jellicle OC that he ships with Jemima. Does also genuinely enjoy the music and his favorite song is indeed Memory.

Satan: Tie between Les Miserables and Hamilton

Satan is a big history geek and loves getting it delivered to him in musical form. For Les Mis, he ~obviously~ read the book first and knows the name of every single rando character. Writes fanfiction for Les Amis. Has extremely complicated relationship with the character of Lucifer himself Javert. He needs you to know that he liked Hamilton before it was cool. He does not need you to know that he sings Satisfied in the shower and cries.

Asmo: Rocky Horror

If you get to dress up in lingerie to go see it, it is OBVIOUSLY up Asmo’s alley. His dream role is Frank N Furter and he has 100% tried to create his own Rocky. (Lucifer found some extremely concerning google searches on Asmo’s phone and vetoed this idea immediately.) Bonus production roles of the rest of RAD: Beel as Rocky, Belphie as Riff Raff, Simeon as Magenta, Luke (to everyone’s horror) as Columbia, Mammon as an extremely enthusiastic but terrible Eddie, Satan as Dr. Scott because he wanted to be the smartest character, Solomon and MC as Brad and Janet. Diavolo produces, Lucifer directs and Levi does tech. Mammon insists that he also be the Brad understudy and constantly sabotages Solomon. Beel gets hungry on the last show night and wanders off and Lucifer has to go on as Rocky which makes everyone cry laughing but also get a boner.

Beel: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

Does not care for stage adaptations because the set never looks as delicious as it did in the movie. Went to a real-life human world chocolate factory once and was sorely disappointed. (Still ate everything in it, though.) Really cares about Charlie and his family because he knows how hard it is to be hungry and wishing for more. Secretly desires to know the taste of oompa loompa.

Belphie: Sweeney Todd

 Belphie loves the dark humor and murderous tendencies in this musical. Also enjoys the film because he is a Tim Burton edgelord. Will angrily yell “You all deserve to die!” and try to pass it off as a reference. Always falls asleep during “By the Sea”. Convinced Beel to watch it with him because there was a song about meat pies.

Your stomach made an unpleasant turn as you looked at those cheerleaders dancing on the stage and clearly having the time of their lives. You knew you shouldn’t be jealous as you had no reason to be but that was something you couldn’t help but feel. With a sigh you turned your gaze away, leaning your back against the nearest wall and waited for the performance and speeches to come to an end.

As the performance finally ended and the women left the stage, you put on an awkward smile as they walked past you, faces radiating of happiness. “Hey, you look a little pale. Are you feeling okay?” one of the women asked suddenly, surprising you. There was a worried furrow on her forehead as she was eyeing you and you felt a slight sting in your heart. You managed to offer her a small, actually genuine smile before answering. “Yeah, I’m good. Just have a lot on my mind.” The woman’s expression softened and she nodded, offering you a smile, and then she turned to leave.

You watched after her until she disappeared from your sight, drawing in a deep breath and focusing your gaze back on the stage. By the end of the show you were really feeling like you needed some fresh air and before heading outside the venue you told Brad one of your favorite bodyguards that you could be found there, just in case someone would wonder where you had gone.

As soon as you got out, you closed your eyes and took in a deep breath, the slightly cool night air filling your lungs and causing you to feel more relaxed, though the faint bit of jealousy was still left within you. You hated that feeling as you knew it was mostly caused by your insecurities.

For years you had been working on those insecurities and you had made your peace with most of them but sometimes something reminded you of them and it all came crashing down. Just like today had happened. The moment you had heard that there were cheerleaders coming to perform at Douglas’s speech, your heart had sunk and you had become extremely self-conscious.

Even the thought of the beautiful women dancing around him wearing only light clothing had been enough to make you feel bad but when you had actually seen them, you had tried your best at hiding your discomfort. They had seemed such a nice ladies, after all, and it wasn’t their fault they were gorgeous. You shook your head, sighing and finally opening your eyes, letting your gaze wander around the large parking lot.

You wouldn’t want to admit it but the jealousy was also caused by the fact that you would have wanted to be there on the stage, dancing and having fun. Maybe it was too far-fetched to even imagine that but you were sure you would have done it if your body had looked a little bit different. Your thoughts were interrupted as there was a hand sneaking around your middle and another moving your hair away from your ear.

“Hi, love,” Douglas said softly in your ear, his slight stubble tickling you and you couldn’t help but smile a little. You turned around so you were facing him and as your eyes met, you saw the worry in those blue orbs. “Is everything alright? You look a bit worried?” you asked, voice low as you brought your hand to his sides. “I should be the one to ask you about that. You’ve been more quiet today and I saw the way you were looking at those cheerleaders,” Douglas stated, lifting his hand to your cheek, gently drawing circles on it with his thumb. “You were jealous, right?”

You lowered your gaze on to Douglas’s shirt covered chest, giving a slight nod. “It’s stupid, I know. But they were gorgeous and… I’m not.” “Oh, sweetie...” Douglas whispered, moving his hand under your chin, gently nudging it up and your eyes met his again. “You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen – the one that has caught my eyes and hijacked my heart. It stuns me every day how such a lovely woman chose me, an old man, over young lads that would be so lucky to have her.”

Tears formed in your eyes as Douglas leaned in to place a chaste kiss on your forehead. Douglas was well aware of your insecurities, especially when it came to your body, and this kind of moments weren’t really new to you. He always knew how to make you feel better and this time was no exception. His choice of words might have been slightly cliché but you got the message anyway.

“I’m sorry,” you mumbled as the tears started to fall from your eyes. “There’s nothing to be sorry about. You might not always see the beauty in yourself but as long as I’m here, I’ll make sure to show you every day how much I love you. You’re an amazing woman, my love,” Douglas said, voice thick with emotion and you couldn’t help but let out a little laugh as something warm flowed in your chest. It seemed like a light lit in his eyes, making the blueness stand out more and a small, yet happy smile crossed his lips.

You smile at him back, raising your brow curious. “When did you become so sappy?” Douglas chuckled, shaking his head. “ I guess it was around when I met you.” Your smile widened, the feeling of lightness overrunning the faint jealousy and insecurity. You lifted up your hand and wiped away the tears, then leaning in to capture Douglas’s lips in a kiss. After you pulled away, you gently poked his chest with your forefinger.

“And by the way, Mr. Hamilton, you looked dashing on the stage tonight. As you always do.” You smiled playfully, he brought your finger on to his lips and you winked at Douglas. Something flashed in his eyes as he raised his brow. “Did I?” “Oh, yeah. Absolutely. I don’t care how many young lads would want me, ’cause I only want one man and that’s you,” you started, cupping Douglas’s face, feeling the slight stubble on your hands as you give him a quick peck on the lips. “I love you.” “I love you, too,” Douglas responded, placing his hands on your soft hips. “You know that I’m yours and yours only?” Smiling, you nodded. “I know.”

St. John’s South—Mount Pearl: won by Ryan Cleary in ‘11, 338 doesn’t like the odds. Nova Scotia - Some lost territory to regain, CPC not a huge factor. Dartmouth–Cole Harbour: won by Robert Chisholm in ‘11, Emma Norton is an ‘Our Time’ endorsed environmental activist.    Halifax: won by the excellent Megan Leslie in’08 and ‘11, previously won by former leader Alexa McDonough, this is a two-way race and this should be an NDP riding. Sackville—Preston—Chezzetcook: won by (the now-disgraced) Peter Stoffer in six consecutive elections, currently a three-way race.  New Brunswick - Acadians rise up. Acadie—Bathurst: won by Yvon Godin six times between ‘97 and ‘15, two-way race against incumbent LPC Serge Cormier. Quebec - NDP not looking good, but the CPC is even lower most places. Abitibi—Baie-James—Nunavik—Eeyou: Enormous Northern riding held by the retiring Romeo Saganash. 338 has this split between the Bloc and LPC, but with the NDP not far behind. The Tories are a non-factor.

Abitibi—Témiscamingue: Currently held by retiring Christine Moore, another tight one between LPC/BQ/NDP.  Beloeil—Chambly: Currently held by Matthew Dubé, the last-standing member of the McGill 5. 338 has him well behind the LPC and BQ. Berthier—Maskinongé: Currently held by Ruth Ellen Brosseau (the notorious REB) and one of the few Quebec ridings that the NDP can be said to be leading in. It would be ludicrous to vote Liberal here, it’s REB or the Bloc. Drummond: Currently held by Francois Choquette, 338′s breakdown somehow puts him 4th. Hochelaga: Currently held by retiring Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet, now allegedly a LPC/Bloc battleground. Fuck ‘em both, vote NDP. Jonquière: Currently held by Karine Trudel, who, like Choquette in Drummond, is improbably in 4th.                  Laurier—Sainte-Marie: The site of the retiring Hélène Laverdière defeating Bloc leader Gilles Duceppe, and a Quebec riding where the NDP are second to the LPC. Rimouski-Neigette—Témiscouata—Les Basques: Leadership candidate Guy Caron’s riding, which he won in ‘11 and ‘15. 338 has him behind the Bloc and LPC. Sucks to that. Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie: NDP Deputy Leader Alexandre Boulerice isn’t going anywhere. Currently ahead.   Saint-Hyacinthe—Bagot: Currently held by Brigitte Sansoucy. Salaberry—Suroît: Held by the retiring Anne Minh-Thu Quach. Sherbrooke: Pierre-Luc Dusseault is now 28 years old after two full terms in office, unfortunately Sherbrooke is yet another Quebec riding now being contested between the Bloc and LPC. Trois-Rivières: Another of the 2011 pickups that weathered 2015, incumbent Robert Aubin being given a disrespectful 8.9% on 338. Ontario - Big yikes of a province, but traditional ridings could hold. Algoma—Manitoulin—Kapuskasing: Carol Hughes has represented this rural riding since 2008, currently polling well. Brampton East: Raj Grewal left the LPC amid a particularly spicy investigation into his gambling debts. Canada’s only majority South Asian riding, its provincial analogue is held by Jagmeet’s brother. 338 lists it as safe LPC even so. Beaches—East York: NDP has been a strong performer in this riding and held it in the past, it’s a two-way race between them and LPC. Davenport: Won by Andrew Cash in 2011, he’s back and trailing slightly. Essex: Tracey Ramsey won this riding in 2015, this is a rare NDP/CPC race and Tracey’s leading but she needs your vote. Hamilton Centre: The retiring David Christopherson is the only MP this riding has known (created in 2004,) Our Time is endorsing his replacement, Matthew Green. He’s leading, according to 338. Hamilton East—Stoney Creek: Previously held by Wayne Marston from ‘06 to ‘15, and a race between the LPC and NDP. Hamilton Mountain: Historically always a LPC/NDP battleground, currently an orange seat for Scott Duvall. London—Fanshawe: I don’t generally approve of dynastic politics, but the retiring Irene Mathyssen’s daughter Lindsay is vying to replace her in London and is currently ahead of the LPC. Niagara Centre: Malcolm Allen won this riding in ‘08 and ‘11 and is trying to avenge his 2015 defeat in what now looks like a three-way race. Nickel Belt: Traded between LPC and NDP for decades, singer-songwriter Stef Paquette is in yet another close race. Oshawa: Not sure I agree with the detective work on this one. Yes, Ed Broadbent used to rep Oshawa. Literally thirty years ago. Candidate seems like a good one though. Ottawa Centre: Also repped by Ed and the late, great Paul Dewar. Currently held by the duplicitous Catherine McKenna, the NDP are polling 2nd in this used-to-be stronghold. Parkdale—High Park: Once the riding of powerhouse Peggy Nash, another two-way race. Check out Paul Taylor’s specs.   Sault Ste. Marie: Strong NDP results historically, held by Tony Martin among others. NDP candidate Sara McCleary really laid it all out when she was nominated. Scarborough North: Previously held by Rathika Sitsabaiesan in 2011, NDP currently polling 3rd.  Scarborough Southwest: Strong LPC district, though Dan Harris won this riding in 2011. Whoever you vote for here, maybe don’t vote for Bill fucking Blair. Spadina—Fort York: downtown Toronto, previously the riding of Olivia Chow. Climate activist Diana Yoon in tough against incumbent Adam Vaughn. CPC a non-factor.      Sudbury: LPC/NDP battleground, with the Liberals on top pretty solidly in the polls. Thunder Bay—Rainy River: Close race between incumbent LPC and the NDP. The late John Rafferty represented the riding between 2008-2015. Thunder Bay—Superior North: Contest is a three-way between aisle-crossing GPC Bruce Hyer, incumbent LPC Patty Hadju and the NDP’s Anna Betty Achneepinsekum, former Deputy Grand Chief of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation.    Timmins–James Bay: Say what you will about Charlie Angus, the wannabe-Pat Martin is not in any particular danger of losing this race. Toronto—Danforth: As matter of principle the NDP should not have lost Jack’s riding in 2015, and as this is essentially a two-way race between them and the LPC, documentarian Min Sook Lee should absolutely have your vote. Windsor—Tecumseh: Big NDP riding, incumbent Cheryl Hardcastle should be able to hold a riding the party has held all millennium. Windsor West: Similarly, Brian Masse has represented Windsor West since 2002. It’s his to lose. Toronto Centre: I mean, imagine unseating Bill Morneau. Liberals have a big lead here, the CPC are a non-factor and Brian Chang is an excellent candidate. University—Rosedale: Still unhappy that Jennifer Hollett lost out to Capitalism with a Human Face Chrystia Freeland, and further unhappy that Freeland seems a shoe-in for re-election. NDP are second, for what it’s worth. York South—Weston: Won by the NDP’s Mike Sullivan in ‘11, something of an LPC stronghold otherwise. Again, NDP are second in a very Liberal riding. Manitoba - well, it’s not all bad news.  Churchill—Keewatinook Aski: Yeah, Niki Ashton’s sticking around. It was close in 2015, but this is her 4th rodeo. Elmwood—Transcona: aka, the Blaikie dynasty riding. Again, I don’t care for that sort of thing but I do hope Daniel Blaikie holds on here. Currently 2nd behind the CPC. Winnipeg Centre: I feel like the good people of Winnipeg, who dumped Pat Martin for the Liberals in 2015, should be real disappointed with Ouellette. 338 has this one pretty tight with the NDP, and Leah Gazan is an incredible candidate. Winnipeg North: Historically a strong NDP riding despite disappointing results this decade.  Saskatchewan - The LPC is almost completely absent, the NDP trail the CPC everywhere. Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River: Currently held by Georgina Jolibois, tight race with the CPC here. Saskatoon West: Currently held by deputy NDP leader Sheri Benson, and apparently another tight one.  Regina—Lewvan: Oy. Currently held by former-NDP Erin Weir, who is thankfully not running. Seems like a loss incoming, CPC leading the NDP. Saskatoon—Grasswood: Safe CPC territory but with decent NDP numbers. Saskatoon—University: Oh gods, Brad Trost’s riding. The NDP are the second choice overwhelmingly here, but the Trostlodyte seems entrenched. Alberta - Let’s keep this short. Edmonton Strathcona: Linda Duncan, who won this seat in 2011, is retiring. Her would-be replacement Heather McPherson has a real uphill battle against… Alberta, conceptually. BC - The Greens are beginning to become a problem. Burnaby North—Seymour: Svend Robinson is back. Despicable CPC candidate Heather Leung has been removed (but remains on the ballot.) LPC incumbent Terry Beech has made wild claims about the necessity of defeating the Conservatives. I wanna bet on Svend but it seems like a hard one, especially with a strong Green 3rd place.  Burnaby South: If the NDP lose this riding we’ve learned a very important and painful lesson. CPC Jay Shin has disturbingly high numbers. Cowichan—Malahat—Langford: Alistair McGregor won this riding in 2015 and looks ahead of the pack in the rare 4-way race. Courtenay—Alberni: close CPC/NDP race with incumbent NDP Gord Johns looking okay but not exactly strong. Greens in a close third place. Esquimalt—Saanich—Sooke: On the island, NDP incumbents like Randall Garrison are in real danger of being run-over by the Greens – he’s currently polling third, behind the GPC and CPC.   Kootenay—Columbia: NDP incumbent Wayne Stetski is in a close race with the CPC, they’re the only two parties relevant in this interior battle. Nanaimo—Ladysmith: Paul Manly won a spring by-election for the Greens, taking the riding from the NDP. Every expectation is they’ll hold it, and the NDP seem to be fighting the Conservatives for 2nd.   New Westminster—Burnaby: Peter Julian has represented the NDP from a variation of this riding since 2004, his biggest rival here is the LPC. North Island—Powell River: Incumbent NDPer Rachel Blaney barely leads the pack of 4, edging out the CPC. Needs your help, for sure. Port Moody—Coquitlam: part-man part-shark Fin Donnelly, having finally realized his legislative goals of banning shark-fins, is retiring. The NDP are thus in tough against the CPC for the fate of Po-Mo-Co, with the LPC not super far behind. Skeena—Bulkley Valley: Everyone’s favourite NDP MP Nathan Cullen is retiring and this enormous riding is sadly thus in play, a race between the NDP and CPC. South Okanagan—West Kootenay: Incumbent NDP Dick Cannings, avian biologist extraordinaire, is in a rare Interior three-way with retired tennis pro Helena Konanz and an unusually strong LPC in third. Surrey Centre: LPC seem likely to hold, the NDP are well-back in 2nd. NDP have a history of doing well in North Surrey. Surrey—Newton: I don’t think the recent scandal involving former MP Jinny Sims is going to help the NDP in this riding, but they are the 2nd choice to the incumbent LPC. Vancouver East: Never in doubt. The NDP have repped East Van consistently since they were the CCF, going all the way back to the thirties. Two brief interruptions in the 70s and 90s, otherwise 75 of the last 84 years this fortress of leftism has held. Vancouver Kingsway: My riding. Don Davies has done well by us for more than a decade. The Liberals attempting to gain this riding by parachuting in TV presenter Tamara Taggart kinda makes my blood boil. I’m good with Don. He’s got a healthy lead but it’ll be closer than I’d like. Northwest Territory At-Large: Three way race, could be a vote splitter. Nunavut At-Large: Three way race, could be a vote splitter. Sure would like to see them dump Leona. Mumilaq Qaqqaq is a fascinating candidate for the NDP.

Doing Just Fine

An: This has been edited after posting. Thank you to those that reached out to help me correct the ranking changes throughout the story.

Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts 2013

Staff Sergeant Jessica Ham exited the executive office of Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks located on base completely unsure how to tell her airmen deployment was inevitable. The 66th Air Force Group would be oversees shortly after the New Year. Locking eyes with her fellow Staff Sergeant, Andrews, before placing her head into her hands with a sigh, “Give them the next few hours. If we tell them before this visit it’ll hang over everything and ruin everyone’s time.”

Sergeant Andrews nodded along with Jessica’s call, “I’m going to send out word about a meeting before we all head out for the day. You want me to schedule the other room for you and your boys?”

“Yeah.” Jessica nodded at him before they went their separate ways. Three years ago, at eighteen, Jessica graduated high school. With no idea what to do with the rest of her life, and a lack of financial means to go to college while attempting to figure it out, Jessie as her friends call her attended a military interest conference at her school.  The Air Force was never something she had previously considered, but after a discussion with an intelligence officer her interest was piqued. The rest as one might say was history. In the course of the past four years she’d busted her ass to prove she could handle it and the rank recognition followed. Clearly her superiors trusted her; Jessica was in charge of one of the largest groups of airmen of any Sergeant. Trust among her men however was a little harder to earn, but once she had it Jessica quickly came to the realization there were plenty of men she was now stuck with for the rest of her life.

Moving quickly through the base, nodding quickly but politely at those who acknowledged her, Jessica rushed to the base entrance. Generals didn’t care what news you were given, you showed up when expected or your ass is reamed. After the previous news of the day so far, that would officially send her into a tailspin pulled by currents. Approaching the group and falling into line Jessica took a moment to observe their guests.

The 2012-2013 Boston Bruins were a formidable team, growing up in Southie rooting for the black and gold was a fact of life. Jessica was pretty sure she knew how to explain the offsides rule before she could do simple addition. An electric energy surged through the base when knowledge of their visit began to spread. The veterans, Patrice Bergeron, Andrew Ference, Shawn Thornton, and Milan Lucic would thrill the long term fans. Young guns Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin would flirt through half of the medical division before the day was out she was sure and rookie Dougie Hamilton was making quite a name for himself at nineteen as a solid defenseman.

“Is he always doom and glow like that?”

Jessica heard behind her. Turning she was meet with the six foot six frame of Dougie Hamilton. Years ago the hairs on the back of her neck would have been standing up, now she yelled at men twice his size half the day and knew for a fact she threw a better punch then  every member of the team. Smirking Jessica couldn’t resist the urge to chirp, she’ll forever blame it on being surrounded by guys day in and day out, “I imagine he and coach Julien would get along, I mean he screamed at you for how long after fanning on that shot last game.”

“Ouch Dougie, not impressing the pretty girl.” Seguin chirped with a smug smirk a head of them.

“I don’t know Mr. Seguin, at least Dougie here knows what an alarm clock is.” Jessica snapped back almost immediately after watching Dougie deflate as Tyler attempted to pull him down. Seguin’s eyes widened as Jessica dead stared at him; a move those under her have repeatedly said is increasingly unnerving. He turned quickly, shoulders pulled up to his ears while Jessica nudged Hamilton next to her.

He stood just a little straighter after her quip. Leaning in quietly, “I know you’re a rookie kid, but there’s a difference between being a doormat and becoming one of the guys.”

“And I suppose pretty girl is an expert?” Hamilton responded smiling, eyes crinkling, and an eyebrow raised.

“Pretty girl has name. Staff Sergeant Jessica Ham. Besides, do you really think there’s that much of a difference between military barracks and hockey locker rooms?” She responded in similar fashion.  

Laughing he responded “Probably not.”

Smiling while shoving him forward, “Go entertain my men rookie.”

Throughout the rest of the afternoon, Jessica watched her men and the Bruins interact. Spirits we high and she could feel the weight of this afternoon's meeting beginning to feel like a physical pressure on her chest. Inhaling deeply but still feeling like she couldn’t breathe Jessica headed toward the doors before her panic attack could start. Never realizing there were concerned eyes following her progression across the room, before he rose to follow her.  

Briskly moving out the door and around the building, Jessica sank down against the wall. Pulling her knees up to her chest and gasping for air. Jumping as someone sank down into a squat in front of her, Jessica looked up at Dougie, concern shining in his eyes. “Hey pretty girl, breathe.” Attempting to match her breath to his, the pressure on her chest finally felt like it was loosening. Dougie smiled, rubbing up his hands up and down her upper arms. “There we go.”

Rubbing her face, Jessica visibly flinched before lowly spilling everything to a relative stranger. “I don’t know how I’m going to tell them. This excitement and good spirits you all brought to base will be erased before they all go home. We’re shipping out in February. I know we all joined the military but it never seemed like this was going to happen.”

Dougie’s eyes went wide, practically bulging out of his head. “I’m sorry.” Instinctively left his mouth, “There’s nothing I can say that’ll make this better I don’t think.”

Sighing, Jessica rose back to her feet. “No there’s not but I appreciate the attempt.” Pulling his elbow and heading back towards the rec hall, “Better get back in there while I can still pass this off has taking a phone call.”

Dougie planted his feet and pulled them to a stop right outside the door. “I can’t make it better, but I could take you out for a distraction this weekend.”

“You do remember the shipping out in a few months part of our conversation, right.” She replied, waving her finger around in a circle between them like it was going to rewind his memory.

“Well, I figure I’d be pretty stupid to let that stop me from asking out the pretty lady Sergeant.”

“I can meet you at Faneuil Hall, Friday at seven? We can go from there Rookie.” She says, throwing her hip into his like a mini check.

Wrapping his arm around her shoulders, taking a chance and dropping a kiss on her cheek he hoped would be well received. “Sounds like a plan, Jessica.”

Over her shoulder while walking through the door, “Friends and cute boys taking me on a date can call me Jessie.”

Saddledome, Calgary Alberta Canada 2017

Sergeant Jessica Ham smiled walking through the under belly of the Saddledome. Granted a short furlough she came to surprise her boyfriend of almost three years after his game versus the Bruins. As luck would have it, she remained close with many members of the Bruins and their wives after Dougie signed with Calgary and during her deployment. When her furlough back at Hanscom came up she took it immediately, the fact that the Bruins were heading to Calgary at the same time. Coach Cassidy had graciously allowed her to tag along with the boys on the plane, though she suspected it might have something to do with Stephanie badgering Patrice to make it happen. It was nice to see some of the boys again and meeting some of the newbies.

Feeling stares on her, Jessica just continued on with a smile. The pass Zdeno presented her with before the game wrapped around her neck, clinking every step against her dog tags. Pulling up outside of the locker room she leaned against the wall anxiously waiting for Dougie to appear. She didn’t have to wait long. Dougie was the next person out of the locker room, “Jessie.” Gasped out of him in surprise, “What are you doing here?”

 Eyebrows furrowed, Jessica was surprised. That was his reaction? They hadn’t seen each other in almost a year. Writing it off as maybe just shock, she stepped forward to hug him. His arms barley wrapped back around her. “I was granted furlough for a few days, figured I’d come out for a surprise. They boys let me tag along on the team plane.”

“Babe!” A voice explained from behind Jessica. A blonde little bit of a thing, in sky high heels with make-up caked on her face brushed past Jessica before throwing herself into Dougie’s arms and laying a kiss on him. Separating the definition of puck bunny asked Dougie who this was.  

Jessica smirked at Dougie, laughing harshly. “I’m an old friend for Boston. Figured since the boys were out here I’d tag along to see mister big shoot, but it was nice to see you Douglas. I better get going so I don’t miss the bus.” Turning on her heel and all but sprinting down the hall Jessica ignored all calls of her name while losing Dougie in the after game commotion. Crashing into the Bruins newbies Sean Kuraly and Jake DeBrusk while staring at the ground, she looked out at them as they both went white. Yells left them both for Z, Bergy, and Marchy. It was the longest plane ride of the season for the bruins and to this day the only one where the unassigned assigned seats were blatantly ignored as the veterans crowded the Lieutenant in the back.

2019 PNC Arena Raleigh North Carolina

Dougie Hamilton was furious, down four to nil in the third period he could feel his teams Stanley Cups hopes exiting them. Coming to the realization that there run was over it became apparent that they would do everything they could to rough up the Bruins instead. Not all that difficult of a task for him. The resentment he felt for the team grew every time they played each other. He blamed them for the disaster end of his relationship with Jessie, added on to the pitiful offer they made him to resign the anger was real. Scrumming with Sean Kuraly in front of the net was a natural progression. The refs separated them while Chris Wagner braced Kuraly to make sure he didn’t hit the ice, not that Dougie saw. He was to focused on the silver rectangles that popped out of Kuraly’s jersey before he quickly removed his glove and made sure they were secured underneath it again.

Dougie saw white, “Are you serious dude!” he exclaimed trying to puss Jordan Staal out of his way to jump Kuraly.

Kuraly’s eyes light up at the chance, “She’s doing great man!” he yelled out taking his seat on the bench.

The laughter of some of the Bruins ringing in his ears, Dougie’s eyes cut to where some of the Bruins wags were seated that he noticed earlier. His eyes were met by the infamous dead stare. Dougie gulped before she disconnected their eyes as the buzzer rang. Instead she was smiling as Stephanie Bergeron through her arms around her. Blowing a kiss out towards the ice, Dougie was forced to watch as Sean Kuraly laughed and waved back at her.

Master Sergeant Jessica Hamm, the future Mrs. Sean Kuraly if the shine the light of the arena caught coming from her left hand wasn’t just his imagination, was doing just fine.

Meeting and Dating Brad Hamilton

- You met Brad through his sister. The two of you had been walking to her house when you were met with the sight of her brother washing his car in the driveway. She casually introduces you while you internally freak out over how attractive he is.

- Brads pretty popular in school so you know who he is before actually meeting him. He just gives you a smile and says hello before Stacy pulls you inside. 

- For a while he only thinks of you as his sisters friend but seemingly out of nowhere he looks at you and all of a sudden it’s like he’s seeing you for the first time. 

- It’s after his sister jokes about you being asked out when the two of you got home from the mall. He gives a fake laugh when she tells the story and teases you a little even though he feels an uncharacteristic wave of jealousy course through him. 

- Over the course of a few days he starts paying more attention to you and realizes that shit, he’s really fallen for you. 

- He tries to subtly flirt with you whenever he can get you alone like when you come into the kitchen for a drink or are waiting for Stacy to get home. 

- Finally he decides to ask you out before someone else does. 

- In the morning before school you walk out of your house preparing to go to the bus stop until you see Brad standing outside leaning against his car. When you walk up and greet him you expect that Stacy is inside the car but he’s completely alone. 

- He offers you a ride to school and when you get to the parking lot he turns to you and blurts out an invitation to a party.You agree to go and he picks you up the following day. While you’re there you both end up getting drunk and the two of you kiss. 

- You avoid him for a while after that considering you’re friends with his sister and just feel awkward about the whole thing. Its only when you accidentally go into the restaurant he works at that you’re forced to interact with him. He apologizes for the night at the party and asks if you’d ever give him a chance.

- To his surprise you agree and the two of you go on your first date. You go to the mall where you mess around in different stores for a while, joking around and just having a good time. 

- You keep your “relationship” a secret for a while until one of Brads friends sees you and word gets out. You become more well known around school by default considering how Brad knows everyone. 

- His sister doesn’t mind at all; she’d rather you date him then some random chick and vice versa. You are her best friend after all. 

- He has a little sister so he has a firm grasp on how you want to be treated and what to do in certain situations. His grasp ranges from when you’re upset to being on your period to gift ideas and so on. 

- Is really good at keeping your secrets and doing you favors. He just tells you not to mention it or gives you a wink and a kiss on the forehead. 

- He fantasizes about you constantly. He’ll be in class one minute and all of a sudden your boobs will flash across his mind. It’s a big problem for him; sometimes he can barely focus and just zones out while thinking about you. 

- Even though his minds in the gutter a lot he actually prefers kissing/making out over actual sex. 

- He sees you as more of an innocent person considering you’re younger than him/his sisters age and that kind of leaks into your relationship sometimes. He mother hens you a lot, making sure you take a jacket or that you’ve eaten/drank enough that day. 

- He gets pretty jealous and possessive when guys flirt with you. He’ll usually snap and threaten them.You have to pull him away before he actually throws a punch and gets in serious trouble. 

 “The fucking nerve of that guy, did you see the way he was looking at you. I swear to god if you hadn’t-“ blah blah blah.

- You always get rides to school. 

- His arm is constantly around your shoulders whenever you’re walking down the hallways at school.

- He always helps you with your homework or studying. After all, he’s already passed those classes and probably has his own version of that exact homework/test. 

- He asks Stacy for advice or ideas whenever he wants to surprise you with something. She knows you better than anyone else and is usually able to plan something perfect leaving him forever in her debt. 

- He absentmindedly rubs your back whenever he’s standing by your side and watching you do something.

- Dates are usually going to the mall with him.

- Making out on the hood of his car.

- Washing his car with him. The ordeal usually ends in a water fight. 

- Pool dates. He throws you into the water with him and carries you on his shoulders while he does laps around the pool.

- He loves when you sit on his lap.

- Whenever you’re making out he usually pulls you over to straddle him.

- Loves when you hold his face in your hands. It’s just such a sweet, tender feeling. 

- Gets kind of cocky yet blushes when you talk about having had a crush on him for a while. He’ll usually ask what you liked about him and get progressively more pink as his grin widens. 

- He likes sending you flowers. Every now and again you’ll wake up to them outside your door. 

- He invites you over every time his parents and Stacy aren’t home.You get to  cuddle and watch movies/television without feeling awkward about Stacy being in the other room.

- He’s usually the big spoon or you’re tucked into his side whenever you cuddle. 

- A lot of compliments, most aren’t exactly innocent sounding. 

- The ones that are actually innocent are usually when you’re feeling self conscious and voice your opinions of yourself. He usually ends those compliments with “so shut up you’re beautiful”.

- Tight hugs where you bury your face in his chest. 

- He has a very brotherly way of treating you when you aren’t being totally intimate. Sort of like you’re one of the guys/a little kid. Its kind of annoying sometimes. 

- Visiting him at work when he actually had/has a job. 

- Making fun of his stupid work uniforms.

- You actually tease each other a lot; it’s cute. 

- You probably get him a job at the place you work and the two of you hang out whenever you’re on break. 

- Pecks on the lips and cheeks. 

- He brushes your hair back from the top of your head before leaning down to kiss you.

- He’s pretty tall so he likes teasing you with it like not bending down when you try to kiss him.

- His pet names are usually pretty generic.He calls you babe a lot and occasionally throws in a sweetheart to spice things up.

- He puts his hats on your head whenever he takes them off. You are his little hat rack and he loves you. 

- Pokes and tickles your sides when he passes you in the hallway.

- Joking around and making pretend threats to each other. 

- He can kind of be a dick at times.You have more than a few arguments; you feel like he’s just using you and is gonna break up with you any second. He tries to reassure you he isn’t but why would you trust him?

- The two of you say things you don’t mean and ignore each other for a while but soon enough you guys get back together.

- He just loves you so much. Even if it seems like he doesn’t at times, he never stops.

- He doesn’t want to go to college but supports and respects your decision if you end up going. 

- Definitely proposes when you get your college degree. You guys stay in town and buy a house in the same neighborhood as his old one. 

- You probably have two kids, a little girl and boy. He’s a great father and you couldn't be happier.
