Who are 10 characters you wished were LIs?

Ok so I went over the 10 limit lol

Faith (KOD), Vivian (TPA) and Diana (BP). Faith because I love the friends to lovers trope and there was like 5 times in the book I thought her and mc should have kissed. Vivian because I loved her personality and I didn't much care for Agent Gray and our ex lover. And Diana, I thought was super pretty and I liked her personality much more than I did Aisha.

Then all the female side characters in OH that I love. I wanted Harper as a LI soooo bad! I love older women and if Ethan could be a LI then there was no reason for Harper to not be a LI as well. My 2nd favorite was Sienna, I love shy sweethearts so she captivated me. Then Kyra and Aurora. I really thought that they would be LIs when I was first reading OH and the fact that we flirted with both of them and pb didn't lead through...let's just say I haven't reread the series again and I refuse to because of the lack of f!LI. Jackie was not my type and so OH was a single LI book for me as wlw. I really feel like if OH was written around the same time as LOA, we would have had hookup options at least.

Then there's Ximena from ROD, again, didn't much care for Mona and Logan wasn't goc, which he really should have been, but I fell for Ximena hard! She was so kind and called mc "sweetie" and I think "darling" and when a hot butch calls me sweetie or darling, I fold faster than a deck of cards lol.

And there's Addison Dalton and Jordan from TNA. I found the Addison's sprites gorgeous! And I loved the idea of mc leaving Sam for Sam's ex-wife or the old nanny falling for the new nanny. Pretty much I liked everyone who wasn't Sam lol.

And then honorable mention for hookup ideas:

Sofia (TNA) and Serafine (BB). I don't necessarily want to endgame choose these two in the books but I wanted to hookup with them. For one hot moment I thought Sofia was going to come onto us in book 1 when mc helped her in the dressing room with her wedding dress. I was very disappointed when it ended up being a verbal cat fight over Sam. I also thought the writers should have allowed us to hookup with Serafine in BB (book 2 I think? Or was it book 1, when we meet her? Idk, the series was very disappointing to me and very m!LI in my face to reread the series in awhile) but when we went to the club and there was a threesome option with Adrian and Jax, the wlw should have been given an option to hook up with Serafine.

I remember you saying that MAH would've been better as a short slasher, so are there any other books that you think would also have been improved if they were significantly shorter (like if they cut out a lot of filler chapters/scenes)? Or for that matter, are there books that you think would've been better if they were longer than the usual 16-18ish chapters that Choices usually does (to make the story feel better developed and less rushed)?

Bachelorette Party definitely would’ve been better as a mini book instead of a regular length one. And I’m really not sure why that wasn’t something they considered. There was no reason for it to go on as long as it did, especially because it was neither entertaining nor funny. It was just really stupid imo. Courtney was annoying as hell, and her smiling sprite was terrifying. And I couldn’t stand Aisha and that damn briefcase. IIRC, that was the main reason the story dragged on for so long. The best thing to come out of that book was Ash Tanaka, but I feel like people forget about him because he was unlucky enough to be a part of BP.

Witness and MTFL both had the issue of an unlikeable MC. But I feel like that issue wouldn’t have been so pronounced if both books were shorter as well. All Witness MC and Cassian did was screw and argue for like 25 chapters. And they literally had MTFL MC wait until the 100th damn chapter to decide who she wanted to be with. Not to mention that god-awful first person narration along the way.

I think this last one is controversial, but Immortal Desires was also far too long. It just dragged week after week because the first 9 or 10 chapters were the same thing over and over again. Hang out with Cas. Hang out with Gabe. Oh no, our Mom’s sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong so we have to stand trial in front of the council again! Rinse and repeat 🙄 If they hadn’t wasted so much time on all of that, the ending wouldn’t have been so rushed and awkward now that they’ve decided to make a book 2

This might be a hard pill for some wlw to swallow but you do realize male readers read gl f!mc books and romance the female versions of goc LIs, right? And in their AU, they romance the LIs as themselves. And UNLESS the writers or the characters themselves confirm their sexuality, the female versions of the goc LIs (Ina Kingsley, Samantha Dalton, Jacqueline Monroe etc) can be bisexual or pansexual. They're not automatically a lesbian and it's not lesbophobic for a guy to romance a goc LI.

Now if they try and romance a canon lesbian character like Annabelle Parsons, Eiko from MOTY, or Aisha from BP, THAT is lesbophobic.
