This past weekend, I was showing my friend my Marko jacket and explaining the different components. I was wondering aloud why these specific tapestries were picked for it and she goes “what if each one represents one of the other members of the Lost Boys?” It got me thinking, and it turns out that theory actually works.

The jacket is made up of five tapestries: two are the pinups, and the other three are velvet rugs, all from the same Italian company. The three velvet ones depict a peacock, a matador and a bull, and a leopard. 

Paul - The Peacock: The most obvious of the three. Like a peacock, Paul is loud, showy, and in-your-face. He spends most of his screen time in the movie strutting around, “peacocking” for everyone watching.

Dwayne - The Leopard: Dwayne's outfit has several leopard motifs in it, from the one painted on his jacket to his earring and necklace made of animal teeth and claws. He’s also the most physically intimidating of the boys, being the tallest and buffest. 

David - The Matador:  Matadors rule the ring, controlling the crowd, their assistants, and the animal they’re fighting. They’re a ringleader, like David. The way David lures Michael in is both strategic and theatrical, like a matador waving the red flag to encourage the bull to follow and charge when he desires. And in the end, how does David die? Impaled on horns, having miscalculated and gotten too close to a raging bull (Michael in this metaphor). 

Is this a stretch? Maybe. But costumes are an excellent way to silently convey character and tell stories. I think this set of headcanons is a really fun train of thought, and would explain why Marko chose those specific tapestries for his jacket.

I used a reference for Splinter and not the turtle tots... which, is obvious. That and I had no idea what the background of the old 03 lair looked like, but I remember a bridge and water. (I know it's supposed to be in a circle but, meh).

My Marko jacket is in progress. It’s coming along nicely but it’s a slow pain in the ass if I’m being honest. Lots of pinpricks and cursing at Marko LOL Pretty proud of it though. It will be as screen accurate as I can get it.

My fwb / best friend let me borrow his hoodie while I was hanging out at his place one time and he joked about how it was "[my] sweater now" when it was about time for me to leave and I wanted to give it back. I joked back and denied it, but made a point to leave it when I left that night since I didn't want to "steal" his stuff. Although we still regularly hang out and we're gonna hang out tomorrow, I can't help but be sitting here alone in my room and wishing I'd taken that hoodie anyway just so i can be wrapped up in it reminded of him.....

I'm low-key jealous we can only hang out in his room atm and he gets to have his sheets smell like me when I leave, but atm I don't have anything physical to remind me of him when I'm at home :(

TRULY A SCRUNKLE EVER,, BUT IT'S SO HARD TO PINPOINT SPECIFIC THINGS ON HERE SINCE ALL THE COMICS ARE SO ALL OVER THE PLACE IN TERMS OF WRITING AND CHARACTER CONSISTENCY... hence why aggression and hate r on there. like, I find beyond the white Knight jason super interesting, since he was the first Robin and never died... I think it's an interesting take, and while he still resents the joker, there's still that bitterness and resentment for the rest of his family, being replaced by dick after he ran away, etc... without a DOUBT my fave jason is wfa jason bc at least there they ATTEMPT to tackle his ptsd, which I think is a vital part of his character, but it's super complicated because he is ultimately better off away from them in mainline canon... I'm rambling. and it cleared absolutely none of ur questions up erm. he's dope 👍 big fan of that guy, he should get worse
