Here's PASH!'s coverage of the 3rd movie attendee gifts, movie frame-style bookmarks. These bookmarks (20 possible designs, randomly given out) will be given out from Feb. 7th - 13th 2025.

The Tokyo Dome collab has begun. There are random stickers and tickets with special tenugui (the towel-like object in one of the pictures below) available. For anyone who ranks in the top 10 of the events, 2025 Ryuu is your host for the Big O (this video has closed captions, so turn them on if you need to). There are character panels on the lawn area. In this lawn area, you can hear the successive generations' theme songs and background music, as well as the twenty-something Defence Club announcing things - please ask the staff to help you out with photos and such to avoid crowding. You can try the minigame "What Will Come Out of Wom-san?", have collab food and get collab coasters until Feb. 24th 2025.

There are screenings on Feb. 8th 2025 at a few different venues where screaming, cheering etc. is allowed. Tickets are now available and went on sale on Feb. 5th 24 o'clock/Feb. 6th 12 am (JST).

Clear files with the 10th anniversary designs of the Boueibu LOVE! quintet and Wombat have been available since Jan. 31st 2025 and the last day is today, Feb. 6th 2025. You obtain them by attending the movie, but be aware there are limited supplies of them.

The Animate Cafe is also happening - it started on Feb 4th. Don't forget to reserve your spots, but be aware you have to participate in a lottery first. Also be aware this is a takeaway store, so no seats are available.

Know what- I enjoy the AMVs. I agree including them in the OVA was a lousy decision and absolutely a detriment to the episode as a whole, but they are good fanservice to someone who's intimately familiar to the songs and jus has fun mindlessly singing and jamming along lol

I'm so excited for the Boueibu movie, I'm re-watching all the DVDs, Lives and events and listening to all the songs. I've re-watched the anime and OVAs not too long ago as well.

I just can't contain all the feels. My heart feels warm, I can't stop smiling while listening to all the songs again and watching the seiyuu events.

I was also going through my Boueibu tag. So many amazing posts throughout the years. This fandom is really one of the best. I had the best time while the anime was going on and everyone was fangirling every week.

I demand magazine covers, photoshoots, interviews and stage events for the movie. I NEED EVERYTHING! I need to see the cast together again!!!

Boueibu Interview Notes

There was a few things with En and Atsushi's voice actors that caught my attention (https://www.crank-in.net/interview/158505/1) and I used Google Translate, so I apologize if any information is incorrect: -Nishiyama/Atsushi's VA was sick on the original day of recording, so they did the four together and he did it solo. I feel bad for him, but hopefully it will still sound good and he can meet up with the other four either for promoting the movie/some other time. -There is some flashbacks, but it mainly is 10 years in the future. So, it sounds like it mostly does take place in the future. I'm kind of hoping AU or something else, but more on this later. -The group does rush and meet up together, but it almost sounds like they did it once it reached a crisis. I hope I'm wrong or interpreting it wrong, but this seems like they lazily wait until the last minute/world is going to end to help out. Which, after all the guys have been through together and what they had said at the end of the OVA, seems rather out of character. Especially since you add in that they are all adults and should have matured by now to understand the stakes of what is happening. The thing that raised my eyebrows the most, but also upset me was this:

I have no words for this. I understand where they are coming from, but En is proven to be smart and try when he wants to be. Unless a bunch of stuff out of his control happened, it doesn't make sense why it sounds and looks (from the trailer) like he's literally living on the streets. If En has good grades, he couldn't get into a decent college/secondary education and then find a somewhat decent job? Or find a job after graduating high school? It doesn't make sense to me. The best case scenarios is he's at a low level job based on the blurry shot in the trailer. Otherwise, these words and the trailer really make it sound like he's begging on the streets. If the living on the streets is true, on top of that, Atsushi doesn't come to help him? The other Battle Lovers? Io supposedly has money. Heck, Yumoto would probably invite him to work at the bath or something. The fact that he's left all alone by them seems off. If all this is true, I really hope this will turn out to be an AU/Dream or something as the guys drifting apart, En looking like he's, at best, a low level job (but mostly sounds like he's probably living on the streets or something similar), not helping each other, possibly ignoring Yumoto/the big threat until the end, etc. sounds really OOC. I understand going for realism and stuff, but this seems really pushing the boundaries, at least from what I envisioned after the OVA. I know that's my thought, but I'm curious what other people think.

I went down a rabbit hole...

It has a "sample" watermark, but it's a higher quality version of the VEPPer tied-up poster. (Plus, the watermark isn't as obtrusive as the version on the Boueibu website, so it could probably be edited out much easier!)

Found out that it was a bonus with the OVA on the Neowing store. The preview there was very small, so...

I did a reverse image search on Google and chose "find image source." This revealed some links that weren't in the main results!

ITS TIME FOR HAPPY KISS LETS GOOOO

Episode 1

I had to pause the episode to start typing this out bc im so in love with these characters i cant take my eyes off of them LOL

Immediately I am reminded why HK is my favorite - it is SO much more character interaction focused than love. Dont get me wrong - i love the s1 boys a lot, but the show doesnt give them their moments to interact with eachother as much as HK does - everyone gets Their Moment to interact with the other characters, not just the ones the show is 'shipping' with them! and I love this season for it!

Nanao is so fascinating, bc all the other characters kinda have their S1 equivalent e-

ok anyway - except for Nanao - hes also seems more nuanced than the others somehow? idk hes just neat

it is a CRIME that they made such cute designs for Karls and Fura as humans and theyre hardly ever in their human forms the whole show T_T

I also appreciate this season knows that we are very familiar with the formula of Boueibu already and they get straight to the point

I do love these transformations - though I have always wondered why they seem to have put a filter over it? The colors just look a bit dark/muted?

God, when I first saw these costumes I loved them but thought they were so dumb - I still think that now LOL - my picky things are I think Nanao and Taishi's hair colors clash too much with their knight colors, and overall the saturation on all their designs could be turned down a bit haha

theyre breaking the fourth wall so much i kinda forgot abt that

its also refreshing that they have to convince kyochan to lead them, since yumoto is such a charismatic leader for 2 seasons, its a nice change to have kind of a useless leader

hot take all music from HK slaps no i dont take criticism

they rly do acknowledge and then glance over the fact that Karls and Fura are like...drafting them into a war for power lmao

Episode 2

It is the BEST that they all know eachother from the beginning - and the fact that the only characters taking it seriously are Ata and Fura (and Karls but not to the same extent)

Ah yes Honyalaland - i have built such a beautiful AU around it that reflects NOTHING of what is actually in the show

headcanon that ata has trouble sleeping until he starts sleeping next to kyochan and then he sleeps really well

I know theyre trying to show that Kyochan is oblivious that Ata doesnt like him but I like to see it as he is just more mature than Ata, and he wants to still be friends with him, so he isnt gonna get upset with ata speaking his mind

omg fura tying up ata with vines sounds like one of my fanfics but its CANON

I say this will all the love in my heart - edelstein has the weakest transformation BUT that doesnt stop me from loving it anyway

This is probs one of my favorite episodes in all three seasons - it was the episode that proved to me that HK is my favorite season

GOD there is so much unspoken history between Nanao and Taiju- theyre clearly close friends but we never realllyyy learn when or how they met, we just know theyve known eachother since at least their 1st year of high school

Boueibu and Sailor Moon?

Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! is obscure apparently, but this wonderful Magical Boy show has a handful of Sailor Moon refs.

While making the show, each boy was dubbed "Lack-Luster Sailor" and apparently had a Tuxedo Mask type character who was later scrapped. But if you watch the entire LOVE! Series, you will see some refs to Sailor Moon (and other magical girl shows).

S1's OP includes a ref to the old senshi poses we saw EVERYWHERE back in the early 2000s

The s1 manga includes a page (Thanks to my friends in the fandom from a few years ago for translating it) that parodies s1ep1 of Sailor Moon. (Dare I say it, the Student Council are the Outer Senshi of this anime but apparently they were based more off the four Shitennou)

Atsushi's original end pose was Jupiter's as well in the production notes

They transform using bracelets, much like the senshi do in Live Action Sailor Moon/PGSM (Except they can't remove them)

s2 has even MORE refs to Sailor Moon, especially Yumoto's transformation and his attacks (as he is this show's Sailor Moon). He even parodies Spiral Heart Moon Attack! in his final attack

Yumoto also mimics the Moon Healing Escalation attack as well

Then in the s2 finale, we see Ryuu do the classic In the Name of the Moon pose

The OVA has the pose from Usagi's Disguise Pen transformation with Yumoto as well.

So, what I'm saying is (LOL) please watch Boueibu XD It may help fill your Sailor Moon Cosmos need.

Dr. Stone 4th Season. Yusa Kouji is there! Yatta!!

Ao no Exorcist 5th season

UniteUp! 2nd season

Sakamoto Days: The cast is amazing (Sugitan, Zakki, Hanae, Ryouta, Taku) and it looks really intriguing. I think this one is going to be one of the best this season, I'm very excited!

Might watch:

Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku: Lots of ikemen and a nice male cast (The Emperor, Asanuma, Totto, Hino, Tachi etc). Based on a simulation fantasy game. The MC is a female, which I don't like, but as long as I don't get any romance vibes - I might watch this.

Babanbabanban Vampire: I remember getting excited when the anime was announced since it's BL, and I was waiting for the cast reveal but then got depressed finding out it's NamiDai*. Yay for Yukke tho. But I wish the vampire was someone else :/

There are also the SK8 OVA and Boueibu Movie that hopefully will be available for the rest of us soon enough!!

I'm also gonna continue watching (anime from Fall that continue to Winter):

Ao no Miburo - I enjoy it a lot! (Most of) the characters are so likeable (same goes for their seiyuu ;D).

Youkai Gakkou no Sensei Hajimemashita! - I'm really happy it got 24 eps! I could watch 100! I really enjoy this anime! It's hilarious and cute!

Trillion Game - which wasn't on my Fall Anime List but I tried watching it early on and then kept watching because it's really intriguing (and I really like Haru. He's such a cool - AND HOT - character and he actually made me appreciate his seiyuu - Ootsuka Takeo - a lot more).

*I said in the past that I won't dwell on the drama, but sometimes I really feel like making a post of me screaming all of my thoughts about those seiyuu who cheated and had huge scandals and made me unable to enjoy any anime with them but somehow they still get work and are not canceled. But I'm holding on.

I thought in honor of Boueibu getting a new movie in 2025 and the wonderful fandom coming back to life, it might be fun to bring this back and spend August back in the realm of these magical boys! Since we've gotten both an OVA and HK since this, I'm making a few alterations to include and give love to our new-gen cast:

-In days where it is applicable, both Love and HK will have an entry (for example, Day 6 will have my OTP from each cast)

-On days comparing groups (Day 11 and 22, for example), respective groups from HK will be included

-Days 14-18 will be a double feature for a Love and HK boy (Yumoto/Kyoutaro, En/Ryoma, Atsushi/Nanao, Io/Taishi, Ryuu/Ichiro)

-Day 30 will be a bit different since...well...all our wishes are now getting granted ^^

Looking forward to having fun looking back at this series!
