Episode 7

Thankfully I remember enjoying this ep the most out of all of them

Again im fascinated by the shot of the city below binan hill, i wonder how many of the boys live super far down the hill

i think the twins really display how small the barriers are between boueibu villains and what they want lol, like literally Gora is across the street from them and doesnt know theyre obsessed with him, they could do Literally Anything to him Anytime lol

as much as i feel nothing abt dadacha i feel bad for the way the twins treat him haha

i actually really like this episode, it takes the piss out of itself and changes the usual pace of the show - i appreciate how OVA-y it feels

this is actually the best joke in the whole show - "why dont we all close our eyes for no reason?" SUCH A GOOD BIT

also as someone who has worked too many jobs that make me work holidays i completely relate to this monster

that one (1) moment that En had a character moment gave me so much joy

I like this ep too because its actually about the defense club and more than Yumoto have lines that matter haha

I love that they show that ryuu and en are actually friends outside of the main group lmao, its refreshing

aw atsushi is relieved its not actually kinchan again, imagine if they had shown that he was nervous about that during the last few eps that wouldve been interesting and plot-relevant :) :) :)

wow the twins are the only villains who specificaly say they want to kill the person they have a grudge against lmao

wow i actually need to pause the episode which i normally dont do - Ryuu took the time to make chocolates for Io and SPECIFICALLY put them in a heart shaped box, we're pulling a Happy Kiss here and overstepping the 'tease the BL for the shippers' moment and going into 'these boys have crushes on each other'

such a damn shame to miss the opportunity for enatsu and ioryuu to have chocolate-fueled horny moments :(

atsu is deffo the most erotic of all of them, Nishiyama is so good at kawaii-erotic noises haha

Foolish Pretenders Heaven Official's Blessing, Feng Xin/Mu Qing, Rated E Fake dating with added idiocy. Begin Again Tokyo Ghoul, Hide/Sasaki + others, Rated E Hide happens to see Sasaki, and is certain he's Kaneki. Set during canon and written whilst the manga was still being published; this is my 'I fucking called it' fic because certain plot points ended up actually being canon lol

Boueibu/One Punch Man crossover, Genos/Saitama, En/Atsushi, Io/Ryuu, Rated T Genos and Saitama get zapped into the Boueibu universe, where they have to fight monsters with the power of love, rather than fists.

Have you ever had a fic translated? Someone asked to translate one of my fics once but I never heard anything about it after that. So no, I guess.

What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? There are 31 files in my 'abandoned wips' folder. I would very much like to finish all of them, but that's unlikely to happen. Favorite fic you've written? Aaaa I don't know. I was pleased with the vibe of Nightmare for All Seasons (Lost Souls, Steve/Ghost, Post-Canon, Rated T) and I have a soft spot for a whole bunch of my MDZS and OPM fics, but I was also super proud of Love is Sung in a Minor Key (Boueibu, Io/Ryuu + Akoya/Arima, Post-Canon/Bandman AU, Rated E) because I ended up not just writing fic, but lyrics too lol ...Neither of these fics are really good examples of the shit I usually write hahaha

On my way back from an anime con (cosplayed Marie) (pics coming after I get them from the photographers) here's some highlights

Three people asked for a photo in my first ten minutes at the venue I'm literally a celebrity Atlus should hire me as a representative

One of them was Yosuke!!!!!!! This is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I bought a used copy of Kingdom Hearts for the PS2 at a very low price for such a classic because it's missing the manual. God bless sloppy owners, the only defense against the evils of used game sellers.

An Estonian cosplayer/con goer/organizer gave a lecture (for the lack of a better word) on the differences between Finnish and Estonian con scenes. It was fascinating!!

The neverending battle of unstoppable force (my hunt for second hand Vita games which are hard to come by) vs immovable object (my stupidly limited taste making me entirely uninterested in 90% of what I do find) resulted in a rare victory: I bought a mystery visual novel I've never heard of from the flea market. We'll see how it goes.

Standing in line for the flea market I was spotted by an old acquaintance I originally met in Osomatsu-san cosplay circles years ago and haven't talked to in aaaaaages. I've seen her around along the years but haven't had the guts to go talk because she's always super pretty which.. I still see as something "above me" like I'm not allowed to go talk to someone like that like we're still living in middle school social hierarchy lmaoo but luckily it sounds like she was similarly awkward about starting a conversation with someone she's not close to so. Both of us were happy to meet again!! Neither of us is a loser unworthy of such attention. Whew and lmao

A can of good cafe au lait mentally transported me back to spring 2016 in Japan and buying coffee from the vending machine in the language school lobby after the 15-minute walk in heavy rain to get there and feeling like I saw God after the first sip.

My green contact lenses tried to kill me every time I put them on I think it's because they dryed out once. I'll have to buy new ones

Second day I barely stepped out of the accommodation when I came face to face with people cosplaying Yu, Yosuke and Yukiko and for a solid 20 seconds we all just did the Spiderman pointing meme and went "oh my god!!!" Got photos <3 The best thing that has ever happened to me has been topped.

It has been topped yet again: BATTLE LOVER SCARLET COSPLAY!! AT A FINNISH CONVENTION!!! IN 2024!!!! I was soooooo awkward and awestruck throughout that interaction. My god. My word. My fuck. Mind blown

The Lovracelets are stuck on the boys' wrists, reflecting how they didn't get a choice to be the Battle Lovers, whereas Caerula Adamas and VEPPer have removable transformation items (rings, and then either the scarf holders or microphones), which reflects how they started out wanting to be the antagonists of their respective season.

However, the fact they're removable is actually just an illusion of that choice, as they (Kinshirou and the twins) had the seeds to be the antagonists planted when they were younger. If their items were also stuck, that lack of choice to remove them would be a hint that being Chevaliers or idols was not fully what they signed up for, and they may have fought against their respective mascot when realizing this.

On the other hand, in Happy Kiss the council's rings are stuck, just like the Happy Braces, which reflects that they did not really want to be Furanui's knights. In the very last scene, Kyoutarou and Ata shake hands, showing that neither of them have their transformation items anymore, whereas Caerula Adamas and VEPPer (presumably) retain their items after the OVA like the Battle Lovers.

Therefore, the Battle Lovers are forced to keep the source of their powers with them at all times, whereas Caerula Adamas and VEPPer have the option, and the Happy Kiss Knights and Edelstein are powerless.
