Services Are Luxuries

it's way too easy to make money in this game, there I said it! Even though I regularly play a rags to riches story, I find that the riches quickly build up. Doing the supersim challenge? Then you know you end up with a lot of excess Simoleons very quickly, same with the nectar makers (vitality nectar is so OP why would you make money any other way?), and everything becomes too easy.

Introducing Services are Luxuries! This mod makes all hireable NPCs much more expensive for both upfront costs and the hourly rate.

Because of the way I made this mod and because I have all the DLC packs, this mod requires: Vintage Glamour (Butler), Eco Lifestyle (Eco Inspector), Horse Ranch (Ranch Hand) and Cottage Living (Grocery Delivery). If you don't have one of those packs, you'll end up with a llama option in the Hire A Service menu. I recommend using another mod if you do not own all the mentioned packs.

Speaking of other mods, there are some conflicts to be aware of:

Plan for Current Legacy Challenge

I rarely post, but I'm going to use this to keep track of my upcoming legacy. Nightmare Legacy inspired by lilsimsie on Youtube. Full Challenge Inspired by @oshinsimfinds, OshinSims on Youtube.

Use RatboySims's Ratsave 1.2 as base

I don't enjoy having to manually create homes and families for new saves. This save looks really cool and I like their builds and families.

2. Use the heir from my Hwang Legacy (Jaeboem Hwang) as the founder.

Isn't he cute? He is part of a set of twins from Gen 2 of my Hwang legacy. I play with long lifespan in other saves because I get very attached to my sims. Jaeboem is currently a teenager and will age up to young adult in 54 sim days. He's inherited a lot of his father's traits and could potentially become a supersim in his current save.

3. Use Random Legacy Roller to determine each generation.

Playing on short lifespan will be a change from my normal playstyle so I am a but apprehensive, but excited to start a new legacy (and hopefully finish).

New House! 

We didn’t move locations but we sure did move up in the world with our house. We had it custom built. Well, when I say that I mean that the architect built our house using one of her myriad of designs but this house, it is so beautiful to me. So much so, it inspired me to paint one day. I haven’t done that in ages!  If you are looking for a good architect I have a few suggestions (will put after cut). Yeah, we are still settling in and may need to expand or rebuild again. But for now, we have this beautiful home and we are enjoying it!

Reela Ultima is the third generation in my line of sims whose purpose in their Sim Lives is to create a Super Sim. Reela has the fortunate position of being “The Mother of Supersims.” Reela’s traits as they are inherited, combined with Father Christmas’s best “gift,” will bring forth a generation of sims who have every possible trait that can be born to a Sim. This is how a Super Sim is made. 

Reela, of course, had to live her life to get there. 

Part one of Reela’s story is below the cut.

Reela is the eldest child of my second generation in this journey to a Super Sim, Meekla Ultima. Reela was enough older than her younger twin siblings that she spent a fair amount of time in her childhood and teenage years helping them with their studies as she studied on her own. Reela’s childhood was well rounded despite both of her parents being neglectful work-a-holics.

As a teenager, Reela came into her Spellcaster powers and after adopting a familiar, began to work on them in earnest.

She was diligent in her schooling and in her work as a Scout. Reela developed a passion for food and creative cooking along the way and a long term love of jogging. Her skills and her diligence paid off as she applied to University. She was going to study Culinary Arts and become a Chef. 

Of course, Reela met roommates and found herself talked into a  few things she regretted.

She also found herself drafted into a Secret Society that was all consumed with fairy sprites, for some reason.

She was most proud of her time spent playing Soccer though and the reward that named her MVP.

Even with those extra curriculars, Reela’s love of food prevailed and she had very little problem completing all of her course work and graduating with honors.

Graduation lead to celebration, Reela met her childhood hero, Father Christmas at the bar on her last day of classes and saw in him something more than a childhood wonder.

Alas, with university behind her, Reela had to move on and move out.

Part two of Reela’s story will be posted shortly.

No hate to people that wants farm packs, but I always was curious as why so many do. It seems that every sims community I go to, someone always want a farming pack.

Gonna be honest, if I am very neutral on wanting a pack like that myself. If it’s there I would get it and probably enjoy it, but it wouldn’t make or break the game for me either.

All I hope is that if it was to be made into a pack, that if it introduces farm animals like chickens or pigs, that it don’t have us actually kill the animals from meat. Due to the fact that I’m sure some people might be sensitive to that idea, maybe go in the way Harvest Moon or Story or Seasons do? Where it is very no-kill and if animal like pigs are introduced that maybe they are truffle finders instead of fatten for meat idk just thinking of ways it don’t stir away people who don’t wanna kill em. It would be a great way to reintroduce horses again, because everyone wants them back too.

It’s funny how I said I’m neutral on it, all while giving opinions on how to make it work. I am ‘meh’ about this though.

It just feels like so many are fixated with on farming for some reason. I got some ideas as well that I would love to see one day for however long we still have Sims 4.

Like the futuristic pack from S3 was fantastic, something similar would be great. It could include more variation with the current Servos like how the Plumbots were. Maybe ultramodern and steampunk-ish clothing, pre-made alien families (cause it ain’t none). Though I will admit I will be unsure of what new careers or skills could take place since University already introduced robots and engineering, so maybe it’s best as a game pack than expansion?

A superhero one, maybe it include another life state, idk SuperSim or something? And have that they learn powers by doing certain skills? Like super strength is athletic skill or heat powers is cooking skills? Or maybe they just already have basic ones and doing them more will introduce more like vampires? Introduce careers, hero and villain (I know criminal is a thing, but instead of it being a rabbit hole job it’s a active one where you just ruin everyone’s day?). Introduce some typical hero and villain outfits, you know the spandex and leotards. Maybe add in at least a standard sailor outfit or boy uniform (yknow the one with the turtle net and the buttons), for the anime fans cause of magical girls. Also some old school 60 suburban casual wear.

A unpopular choice for many, but a supernatural or fantasy like one? I know we already got Vampires and Realm of Magic, but honestly I think the occult stuff added so for need more ‘oomph’ you feel? The fairies, genies and werewolves could come back as well. In addition, being able to do create for ghost sims. Perhaps making PlantSims a permanent state too? I believe with all of those ideas together without a theme it would be all over the place since calling it supernatural might be strange since spellcasters (formerly witches) and vampires were already introduced with a lot of spooky themes in their packs, but if the fairies came from a EP with more updated features for PlantSims that was mystical theme it could work while the genies and werewolves could come back in a GP.

A pack focusing on the teens would be nice, the Parenthood pack was just a game pack so I can understand it not adding as much as Generations did in S3. But, the teens need some more to differentiate themselves than adult than just moodswings and phases to make the state more worthwhile. Such as bringing proms back, throw crazy parties, separate school clubs like drama club or scouting from part times jobs so they can do both.

Meanwhile in actual gameplay, SuperSim Tirsden got a hair makeover, along with her everyday outfit because her old look was tailored for jungle adventuring and was looking kinda frumpy for general wear. I love her new hair, that should stick for a good while. Her daughter Hasu also got three outfit category makeovers before getting shipped off to the Pleasant twins for the moment, with her very own simple basement lair hidden beneath the redone version of the townie twins’ house. I dunno why Hasu looks so old as a young adult... them genetics got weird. XD

Mother and daughter both got awards one night, though weirdly enough, they were both for books even though Tirsden was up for an acting award. Tirs finished up both the acting aspiration and career and I’m gonna keep her career-less while she goes for a lil’ ski trip at the resort. That extreme sport aspiration isn’t gonna complete itself! :D

the templeton family

we met matriarchs marissa and marisa in my last post, now let's meet their kids. to keep her own name in the family, both daughters have tracey as a middle name.

the eldest child is marysah tracey. marysah is a bit of a supersim. her ambition has made her a force to be reckoned with within the family, having completed all of her aspirations as a kid. her current goal is to graduate top of her class to choose any degree she wants to.

next is marisza tracey. a performer through and through, marisza isn't far behind her sister in completing aspirations. the bold kid, marisza is already the type to be voted most likely to start a cult be president one day, though her commitment to drama club suggests a future as a silver screen icon is likely.

trey and trace were very unexpected twins when the marissa's decided to have one last science baby. trace feels like he has middle child syndrome being sandwiched between the bold marisza and trey, and plays music to make up for his feelings. in fact he can usually be found at his keyboard or the family piano. trey is a born prankster, getting away with his tricks since marisza is usually a participant and you can't fight how confident they both are together.

the marissa's have talked about maybe having another science baby, but maybe not until the twins are at least teens.

10 Facts : DALHIA and SCARLETT

1) Dahlia is the older, Scarlett is the younger - they’re separated by only 5 mins tho

2) Scarlett should be wearing glasses - tho she doesn’t like them on her face and will throw them away if she’s feelin sassy that day

3) They both have a disdain for spinach just like their momma :’)

4) Dalhs has been going through a phase where she only wants to wear her supersim cape and like nothing else and that’s been a bit of a struggle

5) Worst things they do: Dahlia - messes ALL THE TIME. Scarlett - cries ALL THE TIME

6) they are happiest when with each other :) sometimes it’s so bad that if they get separated both will break out in tears

7) Dahlia is amazing at talking - whereas Scarlett speed runs everywhere (it’s hilarious to watch)

8) Scarlett loves books and can only go to bed if someone reads her a story - Dahlia passes out hcore

9) They both love Gabe. He’s the only stranger Scarlett will let go near her lol

To elucidate the composition of dark matter (DM) is one of the most important open questions in particle and astroparticle phenomenology. Within the framework of minimal supersymmetric extensions of the standard model of fundamental particles, the `mu-from-nu supersymmetric standard model', $\mu\nu$SSM, solves the $\mu$-problem and reproduces neutrino data, only adding couplings involving right-handed neutrinos. In this context, the supersymmetric partner of the graviton, known as gravitino, becomes a natural DM candidate. Working in the mentioned model, in this thesis we have analyzed the detection of gamma-ray signals arising from decaying gravitino DM considering experiments such as $\textit{Fermi}$-LAT. For this purpose all gravitino decays have been taken into account, complementing previous works. The possibility of an upcoming new generation of gamma-ray detectors has motivated the inclusion of axino, the supersymmetric partner of the axion, as a DM candidate. In this thesis, axino DM has been analyzed in the context of the $\mu\nu$SSM for the first time. Finally, scenarios with multicomponent DM have been studied, focusing on gravitinos and axinos coexisting as DM constituents. This novel scenario includes two very different cases with distinctive features: axino lighter than gravitino and vice versa. Considering the sensitivity of future MeV-GeV gamma-ray telescopes, axino and gravitino prospects of detection were analyzed in the mixed scenarios mentioned previously. In some parameter space regions, both candidates can produce a signal, therefore a double-line feature arises as a smoking gun that would uncover the DM composition.
