Official Backstory: They served as a guard before the Archon War happened. Once the war began he led people to safety. After a few years however he started to have doubts about what he was doing. Seeing the gods battle as he protected others filled him with some sort of envy. It wasn’t long before he began to believe that he could have the power to rise to become a god or something like one. In order to do so however he had to kill one first. So he started to train rigorously for years before deciding he was strong enough. He then found a relatively weak god and killed it. He was ecstatic at the fact that he had accomplished something so great and went off to find his next target which ended up to be Venti. He challenged Venti to a fight and it seemed to be going well for a while but Asrus got caught off guard and was hit by one of Venti’s Anemo attacks which caused him to fly back and hit something, knocking him out. What happened afterward remained unknown to him until he woke up many years later, trapped in ice. He struggled but eventually ran out of steam and seemed to accept this as his end, but then he saw a bright light and in one of his now freed hands was a Pyro vision. Asrus was confused at first but after a few tries (and a huge burn), he finally managed to melt his way out. To his dismay however his hair had very visible blue tints that seemed to glow in the light. On the bright side however, his hair had grown very long which gave him a reason to fully braid it. After getting all of that sorted out Asrus took his vision and started to make the long trek down Dragonspine Mountain. He hated every second of that travel as he went down and fought monsters as it was extremely cold and he was wearing relatively light clothes. There were multiple times where he almost dies due to the sheer cold. Luckily though he make it down the mountain, and after vowing never to go back (unless absolutely necessary), he tried to find some sort of civilization and ended up in Liyue which he now considers his home.
