He is so adorable! 😍
He’s so great with his parents- this is perfect.
I especially love Orlando’s reaction. He’s just like, “This dude is fucking adorable.”

@wouldyoulikeacupofteadear replied to your post: anyone got tips for browsing fic in large fandoms?
Yup, those are excellent ways to search. Also a lot of tags to exclude and indeed check the bookmarks of writers whose work I enjoyed. And check, still here since the barduil heyday. And Krennic before that
I’m replying to this publically because I am SO chuffed to discover (be reminded?) that you’ve been here since barduil. jesus, barduil was freshman year of college, just after the premiere of botfa, so...2014...????? I’m astounded & flattered that you’re still here!
and fwiw, I’ve been following you for several years now as well--probably since 2015, judging by my following list. a toast to half a decade in fandom together, my friend!

Is Richard Armitage’s nose obscene? Tumblr’s algorithm thinks so These are screencaps from the London BOTFA premiere in 2012 -- something I used to do was screencapping a live screen to share.

Was this the premier they didn't seem to be talking to each other? twitter(.)com/AssNichar/status/1134825307473567744
Yes! BOTFA I’m pretty sure? The only video that was available didn’t show interaction so despite a fan in the crowd saying they did chat many assumed they didn’t. Very funny to have proof (and cute proof—Martin always was trying to make Ben laugh) so much later. (And yes this premiere, unless I’m wrong about which it was, was between the gag and TAB filming)

pellaaearien replied to your post “@pellaaearien i will take it and run with it!! ;) i’ve never bumped...”
I've met/seen people at cons (like Elijah Wood) but a few years ago I flew to London for the premiere of BotFA and I managed to secure a front row spot and meet loads of the stars. I've never been lucky enough to run into one outside of that, though, as I think all of my luck went into my premiere experience.
(this got buried in my notes but i can actually properly reply to you now!) Yeah, I know someone who went to the most recent Captain America film premiere, and she somehow got invited in to see the film because security had extra tickets or something? and that was purely luck in that she and a few others were hanging around near the doors after the stars had gone in, so while most people had left, they were then basically given these tickets for free. problem was, she then missed the last train back to the south coast so she had to take like a tonne of night buses to get back to campus.
I think cons are like one of the few places I’d feel comfortable meeting people, because I wouldn’t fight for a space. As in, at stage doors, or premieres or w/e, I wouldn’t fight my way to the front, I’m too shy and anxious. I was very fortunate today that there was like 20 of us waiting and the guy got us to queue so that when Billie came out we just went one at a time (the stage door in the Young Vic is actually inside the theatre, as there’s only one way in and out which are the front doors. so everyone has to walk through the bar/ reception to get out. If I’d thought and taken a pen, I could have got the rest of the cast to sign my programme too.). But at older theatres, it’s very much the old fashioned ‘huddle around some barricades until the actors come out, and if you don’t push your way to the front, you may not get seen. But situations like that kinda scare me?? So I’d probably stick with cons!
The closest I came to meeting someone in public was I met Moffat at Doctor Who Live coming up for seven years ago in October, and like, it wasn’t much of a surprise he was there because it was Doctor Who. I mean, it was sheer luck he was there the day we went, but other than that it wasn’t really like bumping into someone in public you know?

I've been sent so many gorgeous photos of my Tauriel costume recently!! Here's my absolute favourite photo from the weekend!! ❤️ This is where I start to gush. I want to take a moment to acknowledge @evangelinelillyofficial for portraying such an inspirational character. Tauriel is such a fierce and independent woman and is a huge role model to me. Thank you. Also to the whole cast and crew who made the LOTR and The Hobbit series happen (and of course to JRR Tolkien for his beautiful writing! Learning about Middle Earth growing up really changed my life for the better). If it's not already clear, these photos truly mean so much to me. Tauriel was such a wonderful character and I really connected with her and her story. (and yes I sobbed like a baby during BotFA in front of Peter Jackson at the Toronto premiere...). This costume has been a labour of love over the last few years and I've continually changed and updated parts to make them more accurate. I think im almost there. My daggers are the prop replicas from @wetaworkshop and are so stunning! Shoutout to Madhouse Studio FX for my unreal elf ears! I couldn't recommend their ears more! And last but certainly not least, credit to the amazing photographer @amaleighcp and assistant @dreamcherub. Thank you for making these photo dreams a reality ❤️ #thehobbit #taurielcosplay #lotr #yeticon #WetaWorkshop #tauriel #lordoftherings #tolkien #tolkiencosplay #lordoftheringscosplay #madhousestudiofx #mirkwood
