even if it is pretty sad, i find it interesting that the in-universe concept for torgue's campaign of carnage came about when claptrap blew up a stadium by complete accident because he thought explosives were better fireworks

Alright, let's talk about Easter in November, and by Easter, I mean easter eggs. The Borderlands franchise is chalk full of them, some obvious, some not. I'm gonna go over some of my personal favorites. Note, I'm not gonna go over EVERY easter egg, as that would take all day, so instead, I'll include the others in some future posts.
First easter egg I want to tell you about is in Borderlands 3. It's real easy to find, as it's a whole quest. Ever watch the best movie of all time, The Room, created by the best mind of anyone's generation, Tommy Wiseau? No? What are you doing with your life?
Well, regardless if your cultured or not, Tommy Wiseau makes a special appearance in his own quest "Buff Film Buff", located in Devils Razor. This quest becomes available once you've completed the main story quest "Blood Drive". The whole quest entails you helping Tommy Wiseau, or "Buff", get his film on the big screen for all to see, instead of the Calypso Twins propaganda videos.
Next easter egg is a smaller, more obscure one, but I still thoroughly enjoyed stumbling across it. In Borderlands 2, in the head hunter dlc "T.K. Bahas Bloody Harvest", you can come across a fun egg to classic horror films "The Blair Witch Project", "The Ring" and "Poltergeist". Scattered about the map are three televisions to find, and upon approaching them, little scenes will pop up referencing the films. They can be found in hidden, off the map areas.
You ever watch a movie and at the end, you sort of just sit there and think "what the hell did any of that mean?" Well, that was me watching Stanley Kubricks "2001: A Space Odyssey". So, imagine my confusion when I stumbled upon the all infamous monolith in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. If you head to Stantons Liver, search out the cave to the east of the map. It'll be chalk full of torks, so you'll know it when you see it. There will be a little opening towards the back of the cave. Hop in and follow the path, until you find it. The monolith. There will be some enemies in the area, so take them out, and then touch the monolith. You'll touch it about three times, each time taking you to a little area referencing different scenes from the film. At the end, you'll be greeted with a weapons chest, and that all too weird baby in space.
This particular easter egg is probably one the most known ones, but it's also one of my favorites. It first showed up in Borderlands 1, and even made a comeback in Borderlands 2, offering a little challenge if you go find it. I'm of course, talking about the hidden Claptrap of Fyrestone. In the town of Fyrestone, you can climb up onto a little fence when you first enter. Make it up to see onto the cliff, and you can find a green Claptrap unit waving and greeting you. Fast forward to Borderlands 2. Return to Fyrestone and follow the same path, however this time, you can approach the unit. Unfortunately, due to Jack destroying the product line, the Claptrap unit is now dead. However approaching it will reward you the challenge "Hey! Over here!" for 5 badass points. There's also a red chest waiting for you!
Those are just some of my favorites, but I don't want to make this post *too* long, as I could write all day. I'll make posts about other easter eggs in the future. In the meantime, I'm working on a thesis of sorts as to why Handsome Jack isn't as terrible as he may seem, and also a detailed telling of his entire backstory, working through all the plot inconsistencies that have shown up throughout the games.

The thing is, if the Borderlands ever really happens and if it's successful enough to warrant a sequel or even start a franchise (doubtful, with the way franchises and blockbusters are doing at the box office rn) and if they choose to include Nisha at some point and if they choose to be true to her characterisation from the games in any meaningful capacity (biggest fear: casting some white lady a cowboy hat give her a one-line cameo in the tenth movie of the franchise), I do find myself wondering how what would be the most interesting way to do it:
Either: They choose to go in the same order as the games and make Borderlands 2 before Pre-Sequel: (pro: legendary game and legendary characters, people would be hyped enough for it to forgive possible sins of Borderlands 1, contra: not chronological), they would be introducing her as the Sheriff of Lynchwood first. This might be a little difficult for a movie because Lynchwood is not part of the main storyline so they would have to find a way to tie it back into the main Vault-Hunting/Stop-Handsome Jack/Defeat the Warrior lot. I could see them giving Nisha the role of some sort of danger following behind - the main characters just hear occasionally some rumours or see some signs that someone is following them, inquiring about them, having some goons report on them until there is eventually a twist (much like the Wilhelm fight) until she suddenly shows up in a vulnerable moment and almost ruins everything. The other option is that they do find a plot-reason to go to Lynchwood and the events unfold similarly to the way they happened in the game.
Or: They choose to do Pre-Sequel before Borderlands 2 in order to do things in a more logical order
Now, I feel like this provides some really fun options actually because here we get Nisha as a member of the main-gang and she's a pretty multi-faceted character:
they could focus on the seemingly 'chill, laid-back' aspect of her character first, possibly even introducing her as being somewhat relatable to Timothy because she's not a freaking stoic freaking soldier warrior war-machine like Wilhelm or Athena or as extra as Aurelia (I love you, queen) or ...well...Claptrap being Claptrap, so he starts out being somewhat grateful to have someone "normal" around - until she gets going and he finds out that there are Some Very Fundamental Things Wrong About This Woman
they could lean into the hero/lawbringer side and introduce her that way (this would also make sense if they did Borderlands 2 first and the audience knows her as the Sheriff of Lynchwood) and introduce her during the fight against the bandits on the Hyperion rocket in the opening of Borderlands TPS as someone who just really hates bandits and wants order for the universe - except then we begin to find out that she's also wanted for a BUNCH of crimes - which is where were get into the "the bandit who hunts bandits" thing - except as the movie goes on, we realise that she really always was that way and it's not so much a story about her losing herself or losing any ethical perspective but that she's really taking on a form and taking on roles that allow her to exert the violence she craves.
They could start with the "token evil team member" role right away (I mean, Wilhelm and Aurelia are also Wilhelm and Aurelia but Wilhelm is at best neutral evil and the whole point of Aurelia is that she does in the end become disgusted with what Jack is doing, while from Nish's perspective, Jack is (slowly, and arguably never completely) catching up to her level of single-minded viciousness and sadism.
Another thing I can imagine (because they cannot do the audio logs the way they did in the games) that the characters get a really quick O-Ren Ishii-style introduction with their backstories in different styles that fit the theme of their characters (e.g. a western style for Nisha)

I probaply should of shared this while I was actually playing the game a few months ago but like with my playthrough of Bionicle Heroes last year my recent playthrough of Borderlands 1 was another game where I was imagining I was playing as my Inkling Sona.
And also imagined that instead of it being on an alien planet it was actually in Australia (which is kind of funny considering what inspired Elpis in Pre Sequel) or at least what Australia is now after humanity has all been unalived in the Splatoon universe, this was the first time in a decade my Inkling self had returned to Splatstralia and the Vault was made by humans to contain a botched science experiment humans did. Hell I was even imagening a little bit of character building two with the reason why Inkling Michael's natural ink colour is brown is because growing up in a place as hot as this caused the ink inside most Inklings and Octolings to become a dried up colour of either brown or black and the reason he originally left this place as a teenager was because of how violent it was which if you've ever played a Borderlands game you know how dangerous that world is.
If that doesn't show how hyper active my imagination can be I don't know what will.

Farming borderlands 2 latest patch

Meanwhile, rumors of an even larger Vault hidden on Pandora spread across the universe, drawing a new group of Vault Hunters to the planet in search for it. Now, Handsome Jack rules over the inhabitants of Pandora with an iron fist from his massive satellite built in the shape of an "H", always visible in the sky in front of Pandora's moon. Youll easily get a few hundred thousand per run this way and can max the challenge in under an hour. I recommend waiting and doing this during playthrough 2.5 unless you think youll quit before then. I used to find Tubbies there every few runs, but now Ive gone dozens. Since I play as Maya, my run has always been through Bug Gulch in The Dust, behind Ellies, which is very quick using the Rough Rider/Breakneck Banshee combo. Has this changed since the update I never used the four-player glitch. Handsome Jack, a member of the Hyperion Corporation, secures this new resource and makes use of it to take over the corporation. Unless you farm it earlier, you probably wont have the challenge by the end of playthrough 2 (I sure didnt, but never farmed). Im looking for the legendary class mods, but finding it extremely difficult to find Tubbies. After defeating The Destroyer, a valuable mineral called "Eridium" started flourishing through Pandora's crust. Shadow Evils Original Community Patch Video with Guide and explanation: įollow me on Twitch: -įive years have passed since the events of Borderlands, when four Vault Hunters, a Hunter, a Soldier, a Siren and a Berserker, were guided by a mysterious entity known as "The Guardian Angel" to the Vault and confronted an alien abomination known as "The Destroyer". Today Il be Farming Toothless Terry in The Rustyards for the Pimpernel which has been added to his loot Poolīig Thanks to all the Guys on Github who worked on this.Įverything you need is in the guide below: This may cost hundreds or even thousands of eridium, but it’s better than what was close to mathematically impossible farming under the old system. The Fourth Borderlands 2 Community Patch Has Been Released. Meaning that item can now drop with any anointment and you should be able to re-roll it until you get the anointment you want. Patch 1.8.4 was released on Octofor PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Added new heads and skins themed around this falls Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. You are still looking for a good part combination, but now the game has introduced anointment re-rolls. Get 2 free games a month, including backward compatible Xbox 360 games. Added Traditional Chinese language support for DLC. Now, the world pool drop rate has decreased meaning that these bosses may give less loot overall, but that mainly means less garbage to sort through, and more dedicated drops of the boss-specific loot you’re actually farming them for. You farm a specific boss for a specific drop. The gun drops, and you need to see if it’s the right combination of parts you want, but past that, if it doesn’t have the correct anointment you’re looking for, it’s instantly garbage. They rarely drop the actual gun you want, even on the highest mayhem tiers. They usually drop 5-10 other legendaries that are world pool ones you already have ten thousand copies of. Today Ill be showing you how to farm for Legendary Loot Midgets in the newest update for Borderlands 2 I imagine normal mode wouldnt be any different.

Life with Jack
#1
“Come to bed,” Jack says, almost whiny in his tone. “Come cuddle.”
You stare at your screen, bleary-eyed and tired, tapping away at the keyboard without so much as a glance down at what your fingers are doing. “I can’t,” you tell him. “I have work to do.”
Jack comes up behind you and bends over the back of your desk chair, snaking his arms around you. A warm cheek is pressed against yours. “You’re still writing your essay?” His voice is quiet and mumbly in your ear.
“It’s due in 2 days. You can write it for me if you want.”
“Eugh.” Jack groans. “No thank you.”
“You would if you really loved me.”
He chuckles quietly, unwinding his arms from around your shoulders and pulling away. “Then I guess I don’t really love you.” He plants a kiss on your cheek and you lean into it. He heads back to the bed and the TV comes to life behind you, filling the room with a blue glow. “I’ll wait up for you,” he says.

Handsome Jack here... *sigh* Goddammit, I don’t even feel like giving the proper introduction. Today I just feel shame. I freaking did it again. I ate ham. I know what it does to me, I know it makes my bowels bust open like a pinata at a four year old’s birthday party. Of course I know, I’m a grown-ass man. But sometimes I will see it in the fridge (I buy it because Nisha loves it) and I will lose my mind and go... well... ham. I can’t explain it. I think about the texture, about the smell... And I just eat the entire ham and spend the next five hours crapping my brains out. I swear I don’t have digestive issues. The doctors don’t know what’s wrong with me. They just call it “the Ham Shits”.

Apologies (Handsome Jack x Reader)
AN- angsty fluff thing before I conk the fuck out.
---
"Fuck you, you psychopath!" (Y/N) yelled. "I'm not going to just let you use Angel for your fucking power trip. She's your fucking daughter. What would her mother think?"
"Don't talk about her mother!" Jack snapped back. "Don't you fucking dare talk about her mother. And I don't have a damn clue as to why you're all sentimental with my daughter. It's not like you'll be anything to her. You were just supposed to be a one night stand but you latched onto me like a fucking leech."
Angry tears streamed down her face as she stepped closer to him. "I don't give a fuck about what I am to you or what you do or say to me. I'm worried about Angel. Do whatever you have to, but leave her out of this. She is a child. Not some kind of battery for an ancient weapon."
"Don't tell me what to do with my daughter, (y/n)." He huffed. "She is the only family I have left."
(Y/n) was getting desperate. She could not let this plan go through. She would die to keep that little girl safe. She grabbed onto Jack's shirt and made him look her in the eyes. "Jack, you have to listen to me-"
"I don't have to do shit!"
"Shut up! You are so fucking selfish and the way that you are treating Angel is no better than you were treated. Hell, it's worse than you were treated! Just think about it. You have to have a conscience somewhere in that big head of yours. Please, just think about what you're doing!"
"No, that's different-"
"No! It's not! Just think about it, you stubborn assho-"
(Y/n) stopped when she saw Angel standing in the doorway, holding her stuffed pony in a tight grip. Jack looked at her confused for a moment, then followed her gaze. His face fell when he saw his daughter standing there.
"Angel, what are you doing up?" He frowned, stepping towards her. His heart felt like it shattered when she flinched away from him. He looked at her and nearly fell apart when he saw the tears gathering in her eyes.
(Y/n) walked past him, kneeling down to Angel's level. "It's ok, sweetie. Your dad and I were just having a little disagreement. I'm sorry you had to see it. Did we wake you up?"
"Were you talking about me?" She asked, her eyes darting from Jack to (y/n).
Jack spoke up. "No, baby. We were just talking about work. Let me tuck you back in bed, ok?"
"I want (Y/n) to."
His heart definitely shattered at those words, but he didn't say anything. He just stepped back and watched as (Y/n) took his daughter's hand and led her back to her room.
---
(Y/n) brushed Angel's hair out of her face, then kissed the sleeping girl's forehead. "Sweet dreams, Angel."
She left the room, closing the door behind her, and walked to the bedroom. She was shocked to see Jack sitting on the edge of the bed, his face buried in his hands.
"Jack?" She said quietly. He immediately looked up and she saw his red, puffy eyes and the tears falling down his face.
"I'm such a dick, (Y/n)." He said shakily. "You were right. I can't do that to my baby girl. I can't do that to her."
(Y/n) sat on the bed next to him, and was surprised when Jack engulfed her in a hug, burying his face into her shoulder. "I just want to protect her and keep her safe. I don't want her to be afraid of me. I don't want her to have to go through what I did."
She hugged him back, softly petting his hair and placing a kiss on his temple. "I know, Jack. I know. Just calm down. You need to sleep, and we can talk about it in the morning, ok?"
"Ok." He gulped, pulling away. He pulled the blanket back with shaking hands, and crawled under the covers.
(Y/n) followed suit, climbing in beside him. She was honestly scared. She'd never seen him this vulnerable and emotional. She was just trying to comfort him the best way she knew how. She curled up beside him, allowing him to wrap an arm around her, and just listened to the sound of their breathing.
She was almost asleep when she heard Jack's voice. "I'm sorry."
"I forgive you." She whispered. "Now go to sleep."
