there is a link in the header of the main youtube page (cornfield sorrows), and it leads to this video (here)

the title is 1 Thessalonians 4:16-4:17 (below).

the description of the video is in binary and translates to, “the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and her ears are attentive to their cry.” This is from Psalm 34:15, but interestingly God has been characterised as a woman here!

it also has a link which when decoded links to an image (here) with another link!

the cipher text is “ahkim://zqzii.vid/e/GLOvirG” but so far I’m struggling to find out what the cipher is.

the video itself features someone running through a cornfield with dog(s) barking behind, and then a black screen at the end with,, a weird noise...

i’m not familiar with the noise or what it could be like at all, so this has me completely stumped! let me know if you have any idea what it could be.

OKAY SO ANOTHER DECODING

the ciphered text here is decoded as : https://youtube.com/@cornfieldsorrows

which only has this video.

the description is in hebrew and translates to "You made a big mistake" (oh no oh fuck what did we do gang)

and the bible section is this! (above)

the video itself features a dog barking and a distorted voice reciting of Psalm 59.

something super interesting is how this aspect of the psalm seems to contradict with the description - "I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. / Arise to help me; look on my plight!"

and this section - "They return at evening, / snarling like dogs, / and prowl about the city." is obviously a reference to the borzoi, a type of dog.

the video ends with two voices talking (i can't make out what they're saying; it might be in another language?) and then a voice repeatedly saying "destroy him", before we get a cut of the sun setting and a dog howling.

NOW,,

putting all this together seems to suggest that the borzoi (singular or multiple i am not sure) are this all-seeing threat (psalm 139:8 suggests that), perhaps as a sort of antithesis to the good of god??

and the reoccurring theme of corn is super interesting bc like

the idea of being surrounded by 'ears' = all listening

you can't see through it, it's a block

it also denotes rural areas so like, no one can hear you scream

and it has a liminal space feel to it

The 300 follower post secret comes from this tumblr post and this YouTube video; which then links to this imgur page in the description!

Matthew 7:7 is written in reverse of the image, and is also what the cipher translates to, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

oh god please help did the unfiction forums ever open back up i dont want to post on reddit

i am requesting a simple list from you the reader of ARGs, creepy/mysterious YouTube fiction series or single videos, and assorted related media however you want to interpret that. some examples would be This House Has People In It, the original Blair Witch website, ilovebees, This Is My Milwaukee, horse ebooks, the Mandela Catalogue, the backrooms, Ben Drowned, et al.

it's ok to mention things that are well known, i would just like to hear a bunch of titles from people to get an idea of what's out there. you can include a description if you want but a simple list of names is just as welcome. thank you in advance. also i do not care if it's good or not, please feel free to mention stuff that sucks or that you hate and dont think is worth looking at. fandom suggestions are welcome also

i know there are wikis for this but am interested in hearing directly from humans. if you have a particular wiki suggestion I'd be happy to have that to refer to also.

Jeremiah Denton video

okay so this video was posted (here) in the replies to this post (here). 

It’s a video of Jeremiah Denton, a US senator in the 1980s, blinking “torture” in morse code whilst being kidnapped in Vietnam (source / full video).

Maxine

okay further update so from the maxine chapter one post (here), you can further access this youtube video (here) through decoding the cipher (an Atbash cipher).

the video features two actual insane jumpscares that made me shit my pants (the one at 1:05, and the damn thumbnail) which was a delight.

the video features maxine, the most baddest of girls, staring down the author of chapter one, presumably in the hospital after they tried to pet her and needed stitches. as maxine stares down the author, the same distorted voice from the corn video (here) reading out Genesis 3 (famously in which Adam and Eve take the forbidden fruit from the serpent and are banished from the Garden of Eden subsequently. Genesis 3 is also referenced in the description!
