Riddle: Am I the only one who gets annoyed sometimes with Professor MC?
Leona: Okay. Then why are you proposing that they teach the sophomores?
Kalim: Is it because Sensei has proven you wrong? Haha!
Riddle: WHAT DID YOU SAY JUST NOW, KALIM?!!
Azul: MC-sensei has only applied your own logic to you. Like they said, "it takes a handful of pills for Riddle Rosehearts to know how bitter the medicine is."
Riddle: *gritting his teeth in anger then immediately realizes that they're right and calms down*
Vil: I hope they teach 3rd years too.
Idia: Why? Weren't you bitter that your dorm didn't win the last event?
Vil: I was. But when they made an exception for Epel, I've come to realize that they found potential in him as much as I am.
Vil: *smiling proudly* And have you seen my poison apple lately? His posture is perfect. He's more alert, and has taken the duties in the dorm like cleaning all the windows without the need for me to bark orders.
Kalim: How about you, Leona? What can you say about MC-sensei?
Leona: *frowning a little* Well... They're fine. They don't poke their nose on other people's businesses.
Leona: Though I couldn't forget when they spun my bed while I was in it.
The housewardens: ...
The housewardens: *burst out laughing*
Idia: How was that possible?
Leona: Don't ask me. That teacher is crazy strong. No wonder they beat up Crowley without struggling.
Crowley: *enters the room* Oh. All of you are here. Except Mr. Draconia as always.
Crowley: Anyway, has everyone arrived to a unanimous decision?
MC: *talking to their first-students, acting all dramatic*
MC: Woe is me! *puts a hand over their forehead*
MC: I'm just new and I'm already teaching two year levels?
MC: *sniffles* *then stops the dramatic act* Anyway, that would just mean that our special classes won't be that frequent anymore.
The first-years: Aww...
MC: However, that doesn't mean that you can slack off. Hehe~.
MC: I'll be dropping by to your dorms and see that none of you have forgotten what we have learned.
The first-years: Yes, sensei!!!
Professor Vargas: Ashengrotto! Why can't you keep your feet on the broom?!
Azul: I'm sorry, sir... But I need a little more practice.
Professor Vargas: *sigh* Anyway, Professor MC will be coming here to assist you. And!
Professor Vargas: Don't.
Professor Vargas: Embarrass.
Professor Vargas: ME.
MC: *appearing behind him* You seem pretty heated up, sir.
Professor Vargas: AH! Oh. Oh... Hello, sensei. No, I'm— *clears throat*— Mr. Ashengrotto here needs some assistance.
MC: Oh?
Azul: *sad frowns*
MC: ...
MC: *beams* *starts pushing Professor Vargas* Okay, sir. I'll be helping him. You should go and rest. Well, I've heard that there's a new dish in the cafeteria. You should try it. Hehe~.
Professor Vargas: Y-Yes! I'm counting on you, sensei! *then left*
MC: *turns to face Azul* Now, let's start with this lesson?
Jade: I wonder how Azul is doing.
Jamil: He'll be fine. He's with MC-sensei.
Azul: *flies past them*
Azul: *evil laugh*
MC: *is sitting next to Azul, waving at them*
Jade: ...
Jamil: ...
Azul: I'M AZUL ASHENGROTTO AND I HAVE CONQUERED MY INCOMPETENCE IN P.E.!
Azul: AAAHHAHAHAHAHA!
MC: *gestured to everyone that are seeing them that he's fine*
*a few moments ago*
Azul: What do you think is the problem, sensei? I've tried keeping my balance, but it wouldn't work.
MC: Hm... Mr. Ashengrotto, I think you're quite the cautious type.
MC: *smiles* You're being difficult on yourself.
Azul: Being difficult on myself? I don't think I quite understand you on that, sensei.
MC: Besides the fact that you're a cautious type, you're quite ambitious as well.
MC: Picture this. Seeing the ones who had underestimated you,
MC: Grovel at your feet. *smiles*
Azul: ...
Azul: You're giving me an ego-boost, sensei.
MC: Oh. Then we shall use that. *chuckles*
Rook and Vil: *watching Azul flying around*
Vil: Has he finally lost it?
Rook: *chuckles* Roi d'Effort is enjoying himself!

"LOVE IT WHEN HE HIT AND SMACK TOO"
TRAINING DAY - PART 3 OF SELFISH DESIRES ← pt. 2
✰ - SYNOPSIS: it's time for you to advance your skills as a curse user if you hope to remain by suguru's side, and who else better to train you than the worst one of all time? (or) you and suguru get down and dirty in the middle of a yoga session. ✰ - WC: 2.8k ✰ - TAGS: reader is female, short, black and curvy, semi public, obsession/possessive, size diff., nipple play, dry humping, groping, pussy slapping, cunnilingus, v. intercourse, dirty talk, praise, belly press, f. orgasm, creampie, no use of (y/n), all lower case ✰ - A/N: our reader is finally going through her training arc! (kinda :P) so ofc i used the opportunity to feed my imagination with the idea of geto in a compression shirt hehe (which was kinda inspired by this). also i put in a really small gojo mention, i was debating on whether i should in this story or not, but since i did say i'm sorta following canon events it just made sense to. anyways, we have one part left, so i hope y'all like how the story's been going so far!
since the 'incident' with manami, suguru has been carrying himself around the sacred temple with an extra pep in his step. and why wouldn't he? the amount of followers coming to the temple seems to have doubled, maybe even tripled in a short amount of time - which meant more curses to add to his arsenal. the wealthy contributions to their organization have also skyrocketed, granting everyone in the shrine a life of comfortability. above all, suguru was able to walk with his head held high knowing that now, all had graciously accepted your position as his one and only beloved, staying right by his side where you belonged.
however, there was an elephant in the room that he had yet to address: training you. suguru's group consisted of strong, sharp-witted shamans who stood ready to follow his every command. and although he had no intentions of ever putting you in a situation where your life would be in danger, he needed to know that if there was ever a time he or the other curse users couldn't protect you, you'd be able to defend yourself. he also hoped that coaching you would in turn boost your confidence in your own skill and abilities, putting you amongst the ranks of your peers.
suguru made up his mind that at least once a week, he would clear a part of his schedule to physically train you, as well as guide you to perfect your cursed technique. you were hesitant to the idea at first, but after much coaxing, you agreed as long as he promised he would start off teaching you slowly. so today, he stands in the center of the traditional garden behind the sanctuary with yoga mats sprawled on the freshly trimmed lawn, waiting for you to join him so he could start you off with the basics.
suguru decided to forgo his usual long, flowing garments for a more casual look. he donned a compression shirt that fit tightly around his athletic torso, loose sweatpants that hung off of his defined waist, and opted to stay barefooted with nothing on his feet. it was a sunny afternoon, and the clear blue skies accompanying the warm sun that casted a radiant glow over the magnificent oasis gave the fake buddhist priest much to think about as he awaited your arrival.
he thought of the irony of him currently adapting a teaching role in his current position, a role he so desperately tried to run away from when he abandoned jujutsu society. he was sure his former best friend from a period so long ago it felt like it happened in a different lifetime would laugh at him if he saw him right now. suguru closed his eyes as favorable memories of his youth flashed in inconsistent intervals in his mind that the dreadful ones had yet to cloud before he was interrupted by a familiar soft, melodic voice calling his name.
opening them, suguru instantly felt a pleasant tranquility wash over him at the sight of you. sporting a gym top with yoga pants, you stood with a beaming smile on your face, head slightly tilted as you asked if he was alright. he chuckled to himself, shaking his head and dispelling your worries by bending down to your height to peck your forehead. when the troubles of his past barred their ugly fangs, of course he knew he would be fine, as long as he could gaze at you, his future.
you feel your cheeks heat up, very sure that your face was covered in a red blush at not just suguru's affectionate gesture, but by how hunky he looked in his current attire. you don't usually get the chance to see him in anything else besides his robes, so you quickly take a mental image of how his massive arms seemed so close to ripping through the elasticity of his shirt, and how his structured v-line and sexy happy trail peeked out of the band of his sweats.
once you and suguru decide that you're ready to start, you both sit beside each other on one of the yoga mat's cross legged, and begin to meditate. pushing a curly strand of hair that fell out of your styled high bun behind your ear, you try to listen to his prompts to close your eyes, focus on your breathing and rid your mind and body of any anxiety you're feeling.
contradicting his own teachings, suguru takes the opportunity to eye you from top to bottom suggestively. your cropped sports tank top had a slight dip in the neckline that gave him a glimpse of your deep cleavage. and because of how the top was tied behind you, your ample breasts were pushed up, threatening to spill out if you made one wrong move (which suguru was indeed hoping for). and don't get him started on your damn yoga pants. the sheer, tight fitted garment not only hugged your delectable curves in just the right way, your rich skin was visible behind them. suguru's cock twitched at the idea of how easy it would be to rip them right off of you.
but alas, he had to stay focused. after he deemed that you were relaxed enough to move on to stretches, suguru instructed you into the first position. as you lay on your back with your arms flat on the mat, he kneeled in front of you, telling you to bend your knees and lift your pelvic region off of the ground. however, after a couple of seconds your legs begin to shake, already threatening to falter your current pose. when suguru holds your hips firmly in place with his hands on either side of you, your eyes shoot up at the thunderbolt of dopamine rushing through your veins you feel every time the two of you touch. teasingly, he smirks at you. "looks like ya gonna need some help, little one. mind if i assist ya?"
if you thought your face was red before, you were certain you resembled a tomato as you nodded your head slowly, nervously accepting suguru's offer. you've barely had to go through any physical endurance throughout the span of your life, so all of this was fairly new to you. you were already doubting how you were going to perform, now you've advanced to worried at the idea of the well built, good looking man before you grazing your body through it. get your mind out of the gutter and focus, you thought to yourself.
however, this would prove to be especially hard during the next position suguru aids you with. with your back still on the floor, he grasps the back of one of your thick thighs and holds it as far as it can comfortably go, which wasn't much without any force being applied. to your surprise, he situates his groin in between your legs, places your foot onto his broad shoulder, and slowly leans towards your face to deepen the stretch. your size difference is apparent now more than ever as his tall frame hovers over your short one. you're now unsure if your perspiration is due to the hot sun or the sexual implications of this yoga pose.
suguru thanks himself for his choice of outfit, knowing his growing hard on would be embarrassingly apparent right now if not for his baggy pants. though the more you both continued these sensual stretches, the less interest he had in modesty, wanting his sinful thoughts to be known by you. "ya doin' alright baby?" he asks jestfully. suguru watches you bite your lip bashfully at the pet name, humming your confirmation. cute. so, so, cute.
you move on to model your best child's pose, suguru behind you almost passing out looking at you. with the way your knotted shirt twists behind you, he was able to admire the curve of your lower back and the matter in which it dipped in the center. when he tells you to progress into a cat pose, suguru doesn't even give you time to go into the paralleled cow's position, becoming enthralled by your mesmerizing arch and proceeding to grab your waist to push your bottom against his lap.
you gasp in surprise, looking behind at suguru as he slots his covered, rock hard boner in between your clothed pussy lips. wordlessly, he begins to fondle your body, groping the fat of your gut and ass, before reaching beneath your tight top to palm your huge tits, pulling and twisting your taut nipples with his rough fingers mercilessly.
at the sudden, yet thrilling stimulation, you compulsively mewl out his name, grinding your butt against his bugle, and it awakens something inside of him. in the blink of an eye suguru's previous thoughts become reality as he uses his powerful strength to rip open the stemming of your leggings to expose your crotch to him. to his disappointment, the fabric of your cotton underwear stands in the way of his pot of gold. at the speed of lighting he gives your nether regions a sudden 'smack', causing you to squeal at the sensation of pain and pleasure becoming one. "panties? really girl? y'know better than that." he reprimands you.
before you get the chance to explain that you wore them for the sake of the training, never in your wildest dreams being able to predict that the two of you would end up doing this in the middle of it, he slides the flimsy fabric to the side to reveal your already leaking pussy. watching your tightly rimmed hole pulse with anticipation only doubles his insatiable craving to taste you, so without hesitation suguru bends down till he's eye level with your cunt, sticks the wet mass of his tongue out, and licks a long stripe up your quivering genitals.
his eyes roll to the back of his head as he savors your succulent nectar. suctioning his moist lips, suguru sucks up your wetness that dribbles into his awaiting mouth in quick successions. you suddenly become all too aware that you're right at the center of the facilities public garden where the gardeners, servants, any resident of the building could stroll through and witness both of your current indiscretions. but the way suguru flicks your sensitive clit with his flat pink tongue is just too good for you to care right now.
your knees buckle and your trembling voice begins to increase in pitch as suguru continues to messily eat your pussy from the back. you could have confused him for a famished man in the middle of the desert with the way he was slurping your sopping cunt. and if that wasn't enough, he began to prod the muscular organ deep into your delicate flower, as if he was trying to reach the barricades of your soul with just his mouth alone. and every time you tried to squirm away from his passionate lapping's, he would bury his face till his nose nuzzled into your vagina, lolling out his tongue to swipe your bundle of nerves from side to side.
just when you're on the brink of cumming all over his face, suguru retracts from your pussy, panting so loudly you could feel his cool, minty breath tickling you. you huff out in frustration from not receiving the spine tingling orgasm you were anticipating, pouting angrily at him. he plants a parting kiss to your cunt, then leans forward to mutter in your ear four words that make you immediately forget why you were frowning your face in the first place.
"i need you. now."
shame almost overtakes you as you drawl out an eager chant of yeses, but that quickly disappears when suguru rushes to pull his leisurely pants down to the top of his knees, swiftly springing out his now enraged cock before taking it in his hands and thrusting it against your womanhood. collecting all of your excitement onto his thick length, he slides it into your tense awaiting walls.
you both groan in satisfaction as suguru fills you up to the brim with almost no resistance. he almost can't believe he was able to, considering how tight of a fit it is whenever he pushes himself into you the first time. either he's finally fucked you enough for your gummy canals to become his personal fleshlight, or the stretching you did beforehand must have really did its job and relaxed you.
and although the two may be true, he's currently attributing your new flexibility to the later. now that you're warmed up from your previous light workout, you're able to angle your rear side till the front of your torso is pressed onto the yoga mat. looking at you grip the sharp blades of grass with your hands till you're almost pulling them out of the ground, further entices suguru to draw his hips back, before railing his desperate cock back into you.
you and suguru set a ferocious pace, him using brute force to barrel his veiny dick into your sex while you match his thrusts, throwing your curvaceous body back as he drives forward. both of your risqué behavior contradicts the peaceful atmosphere of the beautiful garden surrounding the two of you. the soothing pour of the fountains, the unique chirps of the foreign birds that home the piece of land, and the gorgeous flowers in bloom juxtapose the slapping sounds of your ass cheeks hastily colliding with suguru's thighs, your squelching pussy wrapping around his large membrane with a vicious gripe, and your conjoined wails as he continues to defile you.
you realize you may be just as lecherous as he is as your indecorous spectacle shockingly exhilarates you the more you both achieve your desirous commands of one another.
your jaw slacks open when suguru repeatedly lurches his round cockhead to bump against your tender womb. "su-sugu...right there, right there!" you encourage him. he digs his fingers into your luscious lumps to allow himself to delve even further inside your numbing cunt than you thought humanly possible. "ya like that princess? huh? my dainty toy wants it rough? right here?" he finishes his sentence by pressing his sizable hand against your chubby stomach to feel the point of intrusion.
his filthy words are the final nail in the coffin, consequently imploding your snug cunt as flows of your secretion burst around the girth of suguru's unrelenting cock. you're on cloud nine, your entire body falling slack as you allow him to use it for his own lustful volition. "look so good takin' me, fuck, gonna ruin ya baby girl...agh! cumming...m' cumming, here it comes...!" he grits his teeth in anguish, feeling your pussy cruelly squeeze the life out of him, leaving him dizzy. the steadfast movement of his hips finally stutters as he spurts his heavy load into your belly.
he lunches forward after experiencing his sweet rapture, both of you breathless from your endeavors. while your consciousness slowly comes back to earth, suguru takes the opportunity to pull his weighty shaft out of you. he quickly repositions your underwear back on, the semen pouring out of your abused cunt quickly dampening it. you scrunch your nose at the wetness pooling in your undergarments, kneeling up with suguru and bashfully looking at the aftermath of your robust sex.
suguru has to hold in his laugh by giving the top of your head another long kiss. how fast you switched from a crazed vixen back to his angelic, coy girl was so adorable. "i think that's enough training for the day, don't you think little one?" he asks jokingly, helping you both to your feet while you giggle at him. he will have to make sure that starting next week, you both begin taking your lessons more seriously. starting off by making sure you don't wear anymore revealing outfits, unless you wanted to get your bones jumped again.
"agreed, i think i'm definitely in need of a shower after our...exercise." you chuckled. but before you take a step towards the entrance of the monastery, you glance down at your pants, quickly realizing its tattered state. you look up at him in alarm. "suguru...i can't walk around the sanctuary like this." without another word he pulls his own top off, helping you put it over your head so it covers your bare regions.
suguru now stands before you shirtless, sweat glistening off of his beautiful skin. you ogle at him like it's the first time you've seen him naked, because how could you not? it was as if the man's abdominals were carved by the gods themselves. you have to take a strained gulp to keep yourself from literally drooling before you take his hand to hold in yours possessively. "will you...join me.?" you ask him.
momentarily stunned by your request, he quickly recovers and lets a mischievous grin form on the sides of his face. "thought you'd never ask darling." he whispers in your ear provocatively, walking with you hand in hand into the premises. suguru wouldn't worry too much about skipping your training for today, because he was going to have plenty of time to build your endurance and stamina.

It's today
Genshin Impact - Cyno x Tighnari
A/N: I felt inspired to write something different for once and I decided to post it. I'm not the best at writing anything that isn't fluff, but oh well. Also, don't worry, this is not part of my current milestone event, it's just... the result of a sudden boost of inspiration.
Summary: Tighnari remembered an important date and decided to prepare something to celebrate.
Word count: 1665 words
Tighnari laid his body over the table, letting out a deep sigh. It should be enough work for today, he thought, maybe he should start getting things ready for tonight. He didn’t consider himself to be the most romantic man in Sumeru, but today was a special day: he and Cyno are celebrating another year of their relationship.
Unlike the general, Tighnari found some trouble when it came to expressing his feelings. He knew very well how sharp his tongue could be sometimes and how hard it was for him to not express some not-so-nice emotions under situations.
But there was no doubt about how they felt about each other - a beautiful, flourishing relationship built around love, trust and care. At the end of the day, he couldn’t ask for a better partner.
The fennec smiled, standing up from his chair and picking up the papers he scattered across the table. It was getting late and Cyno would be home at any time now: what should he prepare this time? Maybe he had time to cook something for them to eat together? He couldn’t remember any TCG card the general would be interested in… what if he prepared something else?
He giggled by himself with his thoughts, a flurry of ideas spinning around his head. Focus, Tighnari, he told himself, shaking his head and placing his hands on his cheeks. A dinner should do it, after all, Collei had been sleeping at their place recently and it wouldn’t be a good idea to leave her out of the celebration.
Tying his hair in a short ponytail, the forest guardian walked over to the kitchen, already picking up the vegetables he needed and a knife, beginning to prepare their meal.
While the knife sliced everything nicely, he couldn’t help but let his thoughts drift away. Archons, another year had passed them by… To think that one day, Cyno was chasing him around the Akademiya and, now, they were pretty much living together. If it wasn't for the other’s job, that required him to go out for days on end, they could at least see each other more often…
Looking down to the sliced up vegetables, Tighnari skillfully fetched a pan, using the knife to slide all the pieces inside it. Add some water, some spices and let it cook for a while - the recipe for a good old vegetable stew. He smiled proudly, already knowing that Cyno would complain about the lack of meat, but would give in to the taste at some point. So like him.
“Hmm… What now? It will take a while for the stew to finish cooking…” He muttered to himself, looking over his shoulder to check the clock hanging on the top of the wall. “Maybe I should take a showe–”
“Master Tighnari?” A familiar voice came from behind, making the fennec perk up his ears. Turning his head around, Tighnari greeted Collei with a smile, tilting his head.
“Oh, it’s you, Collei,” he walked towards her, “dinner will be ready in a while, would you like to join us?”
The girl widened her eyes, tilting her head slightly. “Ahm… ‘us’?” There was some concern on her voice - a pinch of worry as well.
“Ah, yes, Cyno will join us today, hehe,” he scratched his cheek with a shy smile on his lips, “we… are celebrating another year together today. I’ve been so busy with work that I couldn’t give much thought.”
“...master Tighnari, you-”
“I know, I know, I’m terrible at forgetting it,” he waved his hand, trying to shrug off the topic. He didn’t want to feel guilty about it, “but I’m preparing a nice stew for us, I thought it would be nice if I had a nice dinner for him when he got home and, well… you are part of our family, Collei, so feel free to join us, hahah.”
He turned back to her, but, instead of a smile of contempt, she was clearly at the verge of crying. She seemed upset - no, heartbroken would be the right word. Collei opened her mouth, ready to speak, but the words wouldn’t come out.
“C-Collei?” The fennec quickly reached to her, holding her face into his hands, using his thumb to gently brush off a tear that was rolling down her cheek. “H-hey, there is no need to cry, you big lummox,” he scolded her softly, pulling her into a hug, “you know very well what Cyno and I think of you, you are part of our family…”
He could feel her hand tightening into a fist, gripping into his clothes as she held back a cry. Tighnari didn’t understand why she was so moved by something as simple as a dinner with him and Cyno, but maybe the girl had their own reasons.
“Listen,” he said, pushing her back a bit to look at her face - her eyes were watery and the tip of her nose, reddened. “Go get yourself ready and I’ll set the table, alright? We don’t want Cyno to see you like this, he will get all worried, Collei!”
“B-but, master Tighnari- a-ah, wait, please!” She tried to protest as he slowly dragged her across the house, taking her to the bathroom.
“I think we still have some of your clothes in our room, I’ll go fetch them for you, ok?” He said, smiling as he patted her head, trying to give the girl some comfort, “let’s enjoy it - just the three of us.”
Again, Collei wanted to talk, but words simply wouldn’t leave her mouth. It was like if something was stuck in her throat. So, unable to contest, she nodded, giving her master a sad smile. “Alright, thank you, master Tighnari,” she said, watching as he closed the bathroom door.
Leaving her there, Tighnari quickly ran over to their bedroom, looking into their closet, where they used to keep her stuff. “I hope these still fit her…” He smiled, letting out a small chuckle of worry - hopefully, she would get better after a hot shower.
Leaving her things near the bathroom, the fennec rushed back to the kitchen - since he wouldn’t have time to prepare himself, at least he could get the table ready: three bowls and sets of cutlery - all nicely placed on top of the table.
“Archons, can’t the time pass a little slower?” He muttered, checking the clock again and surprising himself with how fast the hour went by. Cyno should be getting home anytime now.
Waiting a couple more minutes before turning off the fire, Tighnari hummed pleased as he could feel the scent of the stew filling their house. He took a seat, crossing his legs and eying the clock, waiting for the moment of truth.
However, for some reason, it didn’t happen.
The fennec slowly grew impatient, his eyes drifting back to the clock every five minutes. The sun had already set a while ago, what was taking Cyno so long? Maybe he forgot, Tighnari thought, after all, the general had just as much work to do as he did - and he almost let the date slip unnoticed.
Letting out an annoyed sigh, the forest watcher crossed one leg over the other, shaking his foot as the anxiety took the space within his heart. The different ‘what if’s occupying his mind as he couldn’t help, but to worry.
The general’s job was dangerous, after all, he needed to deal with all kinds of threats and dangers, so anything could have happened and, when Cyno was nearly an hour late, all the possibilities started crossing Tighnari’s mind.
“...master Tighnari?” Collei called from the corner of the room, slowly walking in with the clothes her master had picked for her. The fennec’s frown gave place to a small smile.
“Ah, sorry, Collei, you must be hungry, right? If you want, you can eat. I’ll wait for Cyn-”
“Master Tighnari, please!” She shouted, clenching her hands into fists and starling the other. Her teeth sank into her inner lip, gathering the strength she didn’t have earlier that day, “p-please, stop this.”
“W-what? What do you mean, Collei?” He said, pushing his chair back as he slowly stood up, approaching her as if she was some kind of scared wild animal. She was trembling, again, in that same state from before.
“Master Tighnari… I know you miss him, b-but-”
“Of course I miss him, Collei, I lov-”
“Just listen to me!” She raised her voice again, letting out a small gasp. She could feel that interrupting him for a second time angered him, but he still nodded, waiting for her to finish. “Master Tighnari… The general is not late. He… he is not late because he is not coming home, either.”
“I beg your pardon?”
She sighed. She remembered what Dehya told her, what Kaveh and Alhaitham personally warned her about. She knew it wouldn’t be easier, but it was way harder than she expected it to be.
Collei insisted for him to sit down before she resumed speaking and, as confused as he could be, Tighnari followed her orders. His apprentice could tell as, slowly, he came back to his senses.
“I-I’m sorry, master Tighnari, but I-”
“Don’t… don’t apologize, Collei, it was… my mistake,” he sighed, placing a hand over his eyes as he lowered his head. “Maybe… I’m getting senile, hah…”
“P-please, don’t say such things about yourse-”
“I need a moment, please,” Tighnari said in a shaky voice, still refusing to look her in the eyes. “D-dinner is ready… F-feel free to eat som-”
Before he could finish, Collei launched herself at him, tightly wrapping her arms around him, feeling how his tears were slowly wetting her clothes. “...I miss him, too, master Tighnari.”
In a silent cry, Tighnari’s trembling hands reached back for her, returning the hug as he finally broke free from the denial. It was today that he and Cyno would celebrate another year together - that if only Cyno was still among them.

hi hello!
ngl I'm not the one to send asks here, but I thought I might! (I did send a request/two of them for the 1k event - in which I think I forgot to congratulate for the event as well which has been eating me alive so CONGRATS here lol)
in such a short amount of time you became one of my favorite creators, I truly love your work (I even have the fucking notifications on for your blog - call me crazy idc), whenever I get the memo you posted I immediately go read, it makes my day/week. I love you approach to making JY/IL (especially JY ofc) true to their characters, I appreciate it greatly (ngl you spoiled me there for reading content from any other writers).
as you probs noticed I prefer commenting on your posts rather than sending asks (feels less "confrontational" and more like an audience member cheering you on enthusiastically - hope it doesn't bother you, my screaming on your posts)
forgot where I was heading with all this so to wrap it up, I love love loveee your work and attitude towards it all, how maturely you write your content (f.e. I am not a fan of angst, but your angst is solved and done in such a realistic 'normal' way, it is just beautiful), it is a breath of fresh air to read. moreover I can fully relate to your unhinged side about JY - I'm very much the same, it is nice to get hyped about seeing/hearing him in any aspect (I'm totally normal about HCQ lore, I totally don't know every single possible lore detail there is to know about HCQ... yeah.. totally..) and seeing someone else also be hyped about it makes me feel good :D
also any fluff or something loving (most of your work) with Jing Yuan actually warms my heart and feeds my delusions. thought I'd let you know, because I've been pondering on sending you an ask or not, I see many people sending them so I might as well give it a try.. hah, to let you know how much I enjoy what you do ☺
ps. anxiety was choking me as I wrote all this worrying if it is too long or annoying, had to keep reminding myself authors/writers need feedback and deserve positive praise
Hi hi!!
I do see your comments and occasional reblogs of my works, and I can't tell you enough how much it makes my day to hear some of my readers thoughts about it! As you said in your last lil paragraph but a lot of us writers do really enjoy getting feedback in terms of just commenting or just keyboard smashes on our works! HSR has been the fandom whose given me most engagement on any work and tbh it's been doing wonders on my overall approach and motivatoin to write for it! (I've previously stated in a lot of other sideblogs that I usually just post and dip, but HSR fandom has really made me connect more to my readers and just post random snippets and thoughts without second guessing so that's also a huge plus-)
even though i only write jing yuan content lmfao- i'm super thankful that you enjoy my works so much, and thank you for taking the extra time to send me an ask even if it did seem intimidating - i appreciate it a lot! (sometimes words can't express enough, but i have been reading this a few times throughout my work days to have a bit of a motivation boost hehe)
i hope i can keep you entertained with my writing though in the near future as well though buddy!
#narus' message corner#iamjustaslytherinrose#ah yes my unhingedness about jing yuan has not even reached the level of unhingedness i display to my friends-#but im glad the moments where i just scream and don't post any writing in particular also appeals to you HAHAH

If you don't know me by now
☆AGATHA'S MASTERLIST☆
☆ EDDIE MUNSON'S MASTERLIST ☆
summary : you're a popstar and your school Hawkins High invited you to come over to host an event and you're their special guest and you take relationships very seriously, that's why you don't do dates quite often because you only want to settle for the one and that is Eddie, you got curious about him since you always fancy rockstars
word count : it's not gonna be long, I promise 🤞🏻
warnings : 18+ Shy!Eddie Munson x FEM!reader, language, no use of y/n but reader is Agatha hehe (I really want to have a rockstar bf like Eddie in the future 🫠 let me have my moment here lmao) establishing a relationship, reader and Eddie are both 20, reader having period and dysmenorrhea, Eddie is a little insecure in this, that's just it!
what to expect : 100% fluff, a super cute fic- I swear to god hahaha
note to reader : Eddie Munson is literally my type of a guy 🥹🫶🏻 I always stress about the fact he is truly a goddamn walking green flag, I wanted to write a fic about Eddie that he is amazingly the best boyfriend that you could ever ask for! so yeah, that's like I'm kinda using my own name in here, call me delusional or whatever lol but he is all I ever wanted! too bad he's just a fictional character 🥲
author note : I've never read a fic that is FEM!reader who has intense dysmenorrhea and us ladies like that need a representation hehe I have TOO MANY FIC IDEAS just sit tight and see my other stuff in the making ;))
You've been on tour for 3 years and your parents are so pleased of you
by pursuing your dreams and working hard
You're determined, consistent and you faced so many obstacles in your career
you join opportunity that lays on you, once it's on there you never missed it, you auditioned, you practiced every single song, you keep improving your talent and skills
One thing you don't do is to never quit and to never stop once you finally had it
You always loved singing and it's the reason why you're still alive, it's what keeps you going
Music is your life
Without it, you don't know what you would do
ever since when you're a kid, your parents are always supportive and giving you boost to accomplish your goals
You loved to sing your heart out and that is all you ever wanted to do in your life is just to sing and perform
You also have a few genuine true bestfriends from the school that you studied, Hawkins High
Steve & Robin
Max, Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Erica, Will, Jonathan, Argyle, El and Nancy.... you like bonding with them but you and Steve & Robin are much more close
Hawkins, Indiana is your hometown, it's your birthplace, your childhood memories are in there
But the time when your singing career got skyrocketed, you and your family moved to Los Angeles
Your last concert has officially over, your manager Alex passed an envelope from your school, Hawkins High
Your eyes sparkle with excitement, you speedily open up the letter and read what it says
"Hi Agatha, will be having you as our special guest in Hawkins High for our school program this coming Friday, we are thrilled to have you."
You squealed in exhilaratingly while jumping in the process as you place the letter against your chest with a big smile on your face
"I believe it's about your hometown? Isn't it?" Alex says while she takes a sip of her coffee
"Oh! Yes it is! Alex!" You grinned at her and you paced back and forth inside your tour bus and obviously you couldn't wait for it
"Calm your heart down, sweetie" Alex puts down her cup on the coaster while she became apprehensive from your overjoyed discomposure
She kinda regrets showing the letter to you now
you sigh with a breathy laughter "Aw, I'm so sorry, Alex" you smile
"It's just that it's been so long, I missed my family, my friends" you chuckled a little bit as you remembered your memories with your friends
"Good thing, it's your vacation, you can do whatever you want after that" Alex while she looks over to your schedule
Alex is like your big sister, she is so protective of you, she acts very serious but once she loosen up, she is so fun to hang out with, you also chose her to be your own manager, your parents treat her as a part of the family
You sat down on the bunk bed "You could do whatever you want too" you say while you're trying to look at her eyes
she turns around to face you from the small coffee table "you know, I can't do that, right?"
"You sure you can, you just won't stop and try to take a break for awhile like all you do is work!" you straighten up and went for the small refrigerator and grab your pistachio ice cream pint
A small smile tugs at her lips while she thinks deeply "I feel like you're right"
"Well, of course, I'm right" you scoffed and shake your head while you search for a clean spoon
The silverware clangs as you look for one utensil
"What about you? don't you want to get out of the comfort zone and start dating?"
The cold dessert sends glacial through your mouth and it caused brainfreeze
Your face crumpled up while chewing at the pistachio bits from the ice cream
She snickers while watching you and you roll your eyes at her
"You know the reason why I can't just date like that- what if he isn't the one?!?"
"Yeah, yeah, I know that, hmmm" she places her index finger on her chin as she thinks again
You squint your eyes at her while you're scooping the ice cream
"How about we make a deal?"
It made you stop yourself by eating your favorite ice cream as you listen to her carefully
"Once you're in Hawkins Indiana, you'll date someone and I'll be traveling the places that I badly wanted to go, what do you say?"
You nod slowly "I'll say it's a deal then" you extend your arm out to shake hands in agreement
"But one condition, if you don't do what exactly as I said, I'll resign as your manager" she saids jokingly
You jeered on her "in your dreams, Alex" you say as you both shake hands
"Welcome To Hawkins" it says on the roadside
10am is the call time in your school
You've taken a bath, you fixed your hair, you did your makeup
You chose a dark brown polo blouse with black coat and bell bottom and you wear black boots
"Ah! I couldn't wait to see everybody!" You say as you sit down on the passenger seat
"I just know this is going to be awesome" Alex says as she taps her fingers on the steering wheel
"Why do you say that?"
"Nothing, I'm just awating at the anticipation that you're probably the first one going to lose at the deal"
You chortled while putting mascara on your eyelashes "We will see, don't we? Alex?"
Alex parked the tour bus and you ran quickly outside the vehicle
You inhale the summer breeze while closing your eyes for a moment
"Agatha?" someone called you out, you knew who's raspy voice coming from
You open your eyes and you saw Robin waving at you while bouncing up and down
"Robin!" You ran towards her almost knocking her off the ground
She laughs "I missed you too!"
"Where's Steve?" You say in muffled sound
"I'm right here" you pulled back from Robin and see Steve walking towards beside at the both of you
"Steeeeeeve!" Your eyes flickering with so much happiness in them
"I miss you like crazy" Steve says while hugging you
You pulled back while you're chuckled of how you acted seeing them again "I miss you guys so much!"
"Look at you now!" Robin excitedly says as she looks over to your tour bus
"Our little star became the shiniest ever!" Steve says and he booped your nose with his index finger and you giggled
"I'm on my vacation! We can whatever the hell we want!" You smile lopsidedly
"I like the sound of that" Robin smirks to Steve
"Best believe we'll be there" Steve says while throw his arm around your shoulder as they gave you a tour inside of Hawkins High
You eyes roam around the school hallways and you look over to your locker that you used before
There's a lot of changes and new renovations but it still feels the same
Robin nauseated in disgust "Ew- do you remember the time when Jason Carver is so head over heels with Agatha?" her face scrunches up
You groaned "He's not my type and I turned him down politely" you shrug
"He shouldn't been had given the kindness, he is a scumbag!" Steve throw his hands up
You laughed with them and something that caught your eye
Steve and Robin voice became a blur to you
A metalhead cutely smiles at the picture proudly raising his guitar on the school wall
You read the name of his band "Corroded Coffin" with 2 more unknown boys on the bottom, you assume that his bandmates
Your heart begins to race and you didn't even noticed that you're looking at it for hours
"Who is that?" You point at the picture
Steve & Robin stopped talking for a moment as they followed your gaze
"Oh, that's Eddie Munson" Steve places his hands over his hips and he mischievously grin
Robin smirks and they both know what's your type of a guy and you're so dead "We got a crush on the horizon!"
It made you tear your eyes away from the picture and you squeeze your eyes shut
You facepalmed and you put your hand over your mouth
Both of your bestfriends shared high-five right in front of your face
And you knew this would be so fucking unpleasant
The whole school gymnasium is packed loaded filled with a lot of students
Max and everyone is on the backstage
"I just don't get it why you don't date?" Max trying to look at your eyes while you giving yourself last few touches
"It's because, Maxine" you say in a sing song and made her roll her eyes at you
You know she doesn't like to be called like that
"I want a boy that who genuinely loves me! I don't wanna settle for someone who is an asshole" you say as you put back your black coat on
"She got hot shots for our boy, Eddie" Robin snickers
"Oh, do you now!" Dustin grins
Mike, El, Lucas, Jonathan, Argyle, Will, Erica, and Nancy started clamoring
"What qualities do you want from a boy exactly?" Will asks
"kind, caring, supportive, always there for you when times get tough, never fails to make you feel loved and just the perfect man ever" you let your hands fell down on your sides
"I know what I said is too good to be true because I-I know men like that doesn't exist I'm like writing a fictional character" you let out humorless laugh
"Eddie is the answer to your dreams, Agatha" Lucas nudges you with a giddy smile
You got confused "What do you mean?"
"Eddie is kind" El says to you
"He is caring" Mike smirks
"Number one supporter for real!" Erica says
"he's the one who will be there for you" Dustin grins
"He is truly the man won't stop showering you love and compliments" Nancy added
"In conclusion, the best man ever" Steve says as he fist bump to Dustin
"Why are you guys telling me this?"
"It's because he's the one that you're looking for!" Jonathan exclaims
"He has the greatest weed, man" Argyle is obviously high and you shake your head with a smile
"Eddie is our friend even we don't knew him that much but judging by his actions? He is a good dude" Dustin says trying to convince you
Your heart grows bigger and you try not to smile
The conversation went for a brief silence
The principal announced your name and your friends cheered for you
"Eddie might be watching you" Steve teasing you
"Oh, stop it, Steve!" You push him playfully
You grab the mic and greeted the audience
You winced at your friends for being so loud at the backstage and you laugh
"Deep Purple by Black Dog" instrumental starts playing
You started singing and the whole crowd was just in awestruck by your stage presence
You feel happy but also at the same time stress by your friends teasing you about your feelings with Eddie
Much to your dismay, Eddie overheard a lot shouts of joy and he stopped and looked over the gymnasium door window
Of course, he will halt his tracks as he heard the familiar voice and the band instrumental playing
He is shocked and almost collapsed that Gareth and Jeff help him back up to his feet
He grew weak just by seeing you in singing and he always loved you and hearing your powerful voice
You didn't know he has also have feelings for you
"Woah, are you okay- o-ooh- Holy shit!" Jeff jumps in excitement
"Is that Agatha?" Gareth eyes widen while he holding Eddie back up not looking at him
Eddie does not say anything as he pushes the gymnasium doors as he enters inside
His heart might explode anytime soon as he watches you closely
Gareth and Jeff gave each other's knowing looks as they both know how Eddie worships you in secret
even Eddie isn't vocal about it but they knew his about his infatuation with you
at the autograph table, Gareth and Jeff pushed Eddie with your picture on the line
Eddie made a perplexed expression on his friends but he followed them anyways
He wanted to back out as soon he became closer and closer to you
You haven't seen him yet on the line, you're so caught up from all the sweetest messages from your fans
"Oh no, I'm next" he thinks to himself
"Uh- hi?" he spoke, grunting softly how his voice shakes
He sounded so nervous he hates it
You're still signing and you raise your head and back down and back up again your eyes widened
You made a double look at him "it's him" you think to yourself
You're both staring at each other what it feels like forever
Your eyes softens as you stare at him longer "he looks so beautiful up close" you think to yourself
"Just act cool, Munson" he keeps reminding himself ignoring the fact that you're fucking staring at him like he's some kind of a celebrity
The girl he has a crush on is smiling at him
"Hi, Eddie!" You say enthusiastically your excitement to finally see him in person is clearly unshielded and that made him so extremely confused
"You know me?" He points to himself, he is so dumbfounded and you're enjoying this
"Yeah"
"Cool" a smile grows on his lips as he scratched the back of his neck exposing his muscles on his arms
You gasp softly at the sight of it and you drew your attention away from it before you could do anything that is embarrassing you saw his shirt, it says "Hellfire Club"
"You love to play games?" You motioning to his shirt
"Y-yeah, I do, you know D&D?" He clears his throat
"I do, but I still struggle to understand it though" you shrug
A light bulb comes to his mind "I-I could teach you" he smiles sheepishly
Your crush being so shy to you is so cute "I'd love that"
"You w-will?" His smile reaches to his cheeks
You nod and you give the autographed picture of yours
"I will also love to hear you play"
Eddie could just kiss you right away, he couldn't believe his own crush, knew about his existence and his band?
You're the girl that he wants ever since you moved on from another town so soon
"The Hideout" he says plainly
You tilt your head at him and he realizes "I mean, that's the place we perform"
"Oh" you giggled "I'll be there to cheer you on" you wink at him
Your smile and your laughter is music to his ears
"You better go over there before your friends tease you" you jerk your head on the side and Eddie saw Gareth and Jeff clearly controlling their sniggering as they both watch you
He blushes and ducks his head down shyly
"My god, this man is so adorable, I could scream" you think to yourself
"You should come over at my place, I'm having a reunion party going on" you say not making it sound desperate that you want to have him forever
His lips apart at the thought that you're inviting him? He would die for you right now
"S-sure, I'll be there" he grins at you and walks away fast
His cheeks were on hot fire
You prop your arm up the table and rest your chin on your hand as you sigh
You're falling in love so hard with the cutest metalhead you ever laid eyes on
Alex saw the whole thing "I knew it was you" she squeezes your shoulder
You groan while signing the next picture "it was worth it, are you happy now?"
"I am" Alex smiles to herself while she crosses her arms
You thanked everyone and thanked the school staff
You expressed your gratitude and appreciation for everyone who came
You and Alex and your friends headed out towards the exit
You stretch out and immediately folded slightly as you felt an intense pain, you're having abdominal cramps
"Are you doing good, Agatha?" Steve asks, eyeing you in concern
You take a deep breath "y-yeah, I'm good, I'm just exhausted, that's all"
"You should get some rest like you just recently got finished from your tour and did this and now you're going to host a party" Robin always rambles if she saw you in pain
when she rambles really wildly that means she is worried about you
"You guys, I'm fine, this is nothing" you say you wave them dismissively
You know, Steve & Robin won't believe you but they check on you as they can
"How come I didn't knew about Eddie?" You ask in curiosity
"I think for a short amount of time, you've met him while you're just rising up from your career" Steve says
"What? Really? I can't seem to recall it"
"Yeah, you take home your studies instead when you're conflicted with your schedule" Robin added
Even you don't remember it, Eddie never forgets the first time he saw you, you're the only one that he loves until now he didn't knew that he can bump into you again, it's so unbelievable to him, he thought he might never see you ever again because of how popular you are
You're at your house and everyone is in there
Loud music coming out from the speakers
No problem with the food and drinks cause' Argyle got it covered
Everyone is dancing and having a good time
You remove your coat and you're trying not to hold your stomach
You're experiencing dysmenorrhea at the moment but you always ignore the pain that you're having right now
Eddie came with his RV van and he is very nervous
He checks on himself rearview mirror like in the 100th time
He calms himself down while taking deep breaths
"You got this" he says to himself
He's wearing white polo unbottoned on the front with necklace chains hanging on his neck and black denim pants with his Reebok
Of course he would never leaves the house without his rings
He rangs the doorbell and you swing the door open
Your words caught up in your throat and Eddie does the same
You swallowed and chuckled nervously "Hi, Eddie! I'm so glad you came!"
You step aside and he says "Well, thank you for inviting me, my darling"
"My darling" you restrain a squeal you feel so many butterflies on your stomach
Everyone shoots knowing looks at you while they glance at Eddie
Steve, Jonathan, Argyle stole Eddie for a moment
You hissed on another hit of pain again on your stomach
You plastered a smile on everyone but Eddie notices it
You looked amazing but he knows something else is bothering you
Eddie is a good reader when some of his loved ones are distressed
Just by one look, he knows it, he just knows it
The party is doing well as you planned
When everyone is saying their goodbyes to you and hugged you
You want them to stay for more, it's not even that late yet but all of them are like wanting to come home immediately
Eddie is the one who is left behind, who is clueless and confused just like you
You saw Steve & Robin dragging Dustin ass out of your house and you heard their mischievous laughter
Oh, they're up to about something else
You shake your head at them as you watch Steve's car drove away
You suddenly feel nauseated, you cover your mouth and ran towards the bathroom and slam the door shut
You throw up and it feels like all of your insides is gone just how painful it is
This is what you hate when you're time of the month, you have extreme dysmenorrhea
You cancel appointments, meetings, or even shows, if you're having sickness like this
Eddie runs after you but he step outside when he heard the door slam with a bang
Eddie heard your vomiting and is now worried about you, he knocks on the door softly when he heard the water running
You flushed down the toilet and wash your mouth on the sink
You cleared your throat "Um- Eddie- I'm fine, you can go home"
You sound so sick, he can't leave you alone like this
"Are you sure?" He steps back when he saw the doorknob moving and you go outside of the bathroom
You almost fell but Eddie catches you, holding you tightly
"Woah there, sweetheart" he says while he checks on you
You looked so queasy and you bring yourself to look at him and to his hands on your waist
You blinked and he just stares at you
All you can see is care, he cares for you, he hopes that you'll trust him to take care for you
He is so gentle with you and your heart flutters more
Maybe, your friends we're right about him
You say "OW!" while you hold your stomach and Eddie put his arms over your shoulders as he brings you to sit down on the sofa
"Eddie, no- no- you have to go home, please, I'll be fine" you reassure him
"I can't go home if you're like this!" He whisper-shout
You feel fluid coming out from your private area and you rush towards the bathroom again
Eddie watches you and you shrieked
He doesn't think twice of coming after you again
"W-What happened? Are you okay? What is going on?" He asks his tone might be too loud or too high in worry he doesn't care at this point
You open the door a little and he tries to open it wider but you stopped him
His face crumpled up in puzzled expression as he tries understand what's going on
"I-I'm having my period and I don't have anything, I ran out" you winced of what you just blurted out
He saw the period blood droplets on the bathroom floor and your stained underwear
You got embarrassed as you quickly covered all of your clothes out of the way where he can't see it
"I'll be back" he says while he digs up his keys on his pocket
You thought he will be disgusted but he isn't "W-What?"
"What do you need?"
"Uh- 28cm sanitary pads with wings- um- that's all"
You're taken a back with his eye contact and he listens very carefully to you
You can tell he that really does care and it feels genuine
You've never met a guy like that and it made you love him even more
"Clean up and I'll be back in a flash, I promise, just wait for me, okay?"
"Okay" you say softly with a small smile
Eddie only knew about girls having period is normal, he isn't the type of a guy that acts like it's the worst thing ever
Yeah, it does hurts like hell but he doesn't horrid by it, because he knows it's the natural thing that woman reproductive system has....
He had no girl in his life or even in his family, this is the first time that he witnessed a girl having her period
He picked up so many advices from his uncle and his friends of what a girl wants and what a girl needs
Eddie stops over at the 24/7 hour store and he gulps of how many choices at the ladies section
But he picks the one you that asked for, he grabs more just in case, he also taken a note of how you bleed so badly, your heavy flow can't take just one only pad it could gush out of it
So he took the menstrual pants that costs a lot more than your usual pads but he doesn't mind it, the priority is to taking care well of you
He put in his cart some cool fever and balm oil for your aching stomach
He also grabs 3 ice cream pints, pistachio ice cream, cookies and cream, vanilla
He saw you eating those three ice cream flavors
He takes the white cheddar popcorn he saw you eating that as well tonight
He also orders chocolate mousse cake
He shoves everything on the passenger seat as he quickly turns on the engine and droves back to your place
It's been 30 minutes since Eddie left and you're in your bedroom and you're on your pajamas
A hot compress laying on top of your stomach, that soothes the pain a little but you can feel is still there
You heard Eddie came back and he calls out for you
You stand up still wincing at your stomach and you're limping towards at your door
"Eddie, I've been waiting for yo-" you paused when you saw Eddie carrying too many bags
"Are you feeling any better? I bought these!" He says with a cheeky smile while he raising the bags
He puts down everything that he got from the 24/7 store near to you
"I brought these because I-I've noticed how much you bled, I think you need these" he gives it to you
Your eyes glows so much admiration, your heart made a backflip of how thoughtful he is
"I also bought 3 ice cream pints!" Your eyes light up when you saw all of your favorites
"Aww, Eddie, this is so sweet" you say
He became flustered while he shakes his head shyly
"Well, I need to take care of my girl" he grins while he continues to show what he got for you
"My girl?" You raise your eyebrows "you never fail to make me fall in love with you, Eddie" you think to yourself
You watch him and you can't hear of what he says anymore
You appreciate everything of this
You smile in content and you finally found the one that you always been looking for
You're very certain of it
You excused yourself and you headed towards the bathroom
as soon as you walk out from the bathroom he asks "Doing alright?"
"Yeah, I feel much better, thank you"
"You know, I don't feel like I should leave, I could stay" he says, his guts tells him not to do it
You became light-headed as you stumbled back and Eddie manages to catch you again
You fainted right between his arms
"Nope, definitely not coming home just yet" Eddie says
He carried you towards your bedroom and places the hot compress over your stomach and he covers you with blanket
He saw on the bed side table that you already taken a medicine "Buscopan Venus"
He carefully rubs the balm oil on your forehead and you sigh comfortably
He admires your pretty face and how your eyelashes flutters while you're sleeping
He let his eyes wander around your room and he saw the guitar pick necklace that he gave to you before, before you left, his eyes became misty, you kept it after all this time
You woken up and the pain is now gone but you can feel all of your insides are grinding with such pain
The flow is coming out of you is real strong
You looked over to your side and you saw Eddie sleeping peacefully on the couch while he hugs a pillow
You change your position on the side as you taken a chance to look over at his features
"He is so handsome" you think to yourself
His curls touches his cheeks, you loved his scent, you look down on his chest you noticed some of his tattoos peeking out
You remove your blanket and get up and walk towards to him
You crouch down and you can't help but hold his cheek and you caressed your thumb softly not wanting to disturb his slumber
"I love you" you whispered
You smile and take a last look at him before you exit your bedroom
Eddie thought he might be dreaming he heard his crush says "I love you" he changed his sleeping position
You look over to your living room and all of the mess is gone
You chuckled slightly, Eddie cleaned up your house
You walked over the refrigerator and heard someone walking down the stairs
Eddie rubs his eyes and yawns "Goodmorning, what are you doing? why'd you get up?"
"For breakfast? and uh- goodmorning" you say while you grab the bottle of apple juice and placed it on the kitchen table
Eddie noticed something streaming down on your bottom and your period blood goes through straight to your pajama pants
"Honey, you're bleeding"
"What?" while you're holding the waffle batter
He gestures to your pants and you groaned and annoyingly
"Oh no"
"What?!"
You ran back up towards to your bedroom and you saw your bedsheets are now covered with period blood
"I knew it" you say as you remove the bedsheets
He tuts "I got this, clean up and I'll handle this"
"Eddie, you've done enough-" he cuts you off
"Let me take care of you, please" his pleading eyes convinced you otherwise
You sigh in defeat "Fine, the laundry is on the left side"
As you finished freshen up, Eddie is the one who cooked waffles to you
To your surprise, he is an excellent cook
Eddie and you both shared laughs and even eat ice cream pints with you
"Gotta say, I love the waffles" you say as you wipe your plate using your fingers to lick off the remaining whipped cream
"The pleasure is all mine, sweets" he says as he grabs your white cheddar popcorn that he bought last night
You take it and open it up and you shove your hand down on the bag, you crunch one popcorn inside of your mouth
You smile "why are you so nice to me? why is that?"
His cheeks suddenly grows red "it's because I like you" he thinks to himself
"I just wanted to take care of you, that's all" he says avoiding eye contact with you
You bite your lip and you think of your decisions
You have to tell him how you feel
Eddie's mood slightly changes, he frowns a little bit because he is a nobody, he is so out of your league
He is a freak and you're a popstar, little did he know that you don't care of what he is
What you do care is how he treats you like the way you wanted to be treated
He is perfect and he doesn't know it
It's noon and he thought he is overtime staying over at your house
He wished to stay a little longer or he means forever and you think the same
He waves bye to you shyly while he walks towards to his RV van
He frustratingly groans of not saying the truth to you as he opens the door
"Eddie, wait"
You walked behind him
He brings himself around to face you, he thought you feel unwell again
"Thank you, really, for everything that you did today and last night" you smile at him
You can't even bring yourself to say it
"You don't have to thank me with anything, if you need something, just call me, okay?" He says as he pats your shoulder
"Okay, Eddie" you say softly with a smile
You might get melted if you stare at each other again, so you turn your heel and walk away
Eddie watches you, you pressed your lips together and you remember of all the things he did last night and today
Maybe.... You read him wrong, he was just being friendly and you on the other hand expecting something more bigger than that
You frown as you reach for the doorknob you can't even look back at him that way again
You wanted more than just friends
You can hear Eddie's keys jangling and he opens the door, you slowly turning the doorknob of your front door open
"I wonder...." You think to yourself
Eddie shuts the door and put his keys back to his pocket and calls you
He ran towards you
You heard his voice and your heart stops of what you just predicted
You dropped your hand onto your sides and he grabbed your shoulders
Turning you to face him, furrowing your brows as you look at him
You look down where he holds you, he stares at you with loving eyes
He caresses his thumb on your shoulders
Before you know it, he pulled you closely into his chest and he presses his lips to kiss you
You yelped at his action as you watch him closing his eyes as he kiss you fiercely
Your eyes softens with delight, his lips felt good
He pulled back and you pout "I-I'm sorry, I really like you- I do- I'm crazy in love with you, Agatha" he stutters
"You like me?" You say breathlessly
he is afraid of rejection but with you he will never regret that he confessed it "Yes, if you'll have me"
"I love you, Eddie" you say as you pulled him closer to you
You brushed his lips with your thumb and you cup his cheeks with a smile on your face
His heart might come out of his chest, he easily melts within your touch
You slam your lips onto his and his eyes widened but he recovered
He holds your waist tightly and you wrap your arms around him
The kiss was so desperate but burning with desire
He deepens the kiss as he slids his tongue onto your mouth and you mewl
None of you wanted to break the kiss and it felt the like the world stopped moving for a moment
Your eyes became glossy when you both pulled back
You giggled how plump his lips are
"I-I don't seem to understand" he lets out a breathy laugh
"I am so in love with you, you have no idea" you say as you throw your arms around him
You lay your head on against his chest
"But I'm just a-" you cupped his mouth and you shush him
"You're perfect, Eddie, you're an incredible guy" you told him while you pinch his cheeks
He chuckles and as he places a kiss on the top of your head
"You're perfect, you're an incredible guy" your voiced echoed to his mind his insecurity removes it self away from him the second you told him that like it didn't even existed
"I love you so much, Eddie, if you'll have me" you say as you pulled back to look at him
You read his eyes and you can tell how radiant they are- he is the most happiest man in the world
"Are you kidding me? of course, I fucking love you!" He exclaims and you bursted out laughing
He scooped you up and you whooped in shock and you crack up at his action
You hold at him tightly as you lay your head over his shoulder and you kiss his neck
He swing your door open and kicks it close
He sats on the couch and he places you on his lap as he peppers you with lots of kisses on your chest, neck, cheek and your hand
You giggling "Stop! It tickles!"
He snorted "I love you, I love you, I loooveee you" he says as he pecks a kiss to your lips
"I love you endlessly" you say as he clashes his lips onto yours
You can feel him smiling at the kiss and you sigh in comfort
Eddie gave you a piece of chocolate mousse cake as you make a conversation with him
You ate it and you hum on how indulgent it was
You both have the same interest with music, fashion, movies, and life, you find out he was also bullied too
You also have the right amount of friends, quality over quantity....
You've never engage in conversations enthusiastic like this
He made it so easily when you're with him
You can listen to him for hours
Eddie popped up on the VHS player and it starts playing "The Godfather" (1972), you heard the iconic soundtrack while your hands on the sink and you slowly your turn around
He flushed himself on the sofa with his one arm extended on the side and he looks at you beaming, you gasp with a tender smile sitting on your lips
"Oh my... H- How did you know?" you say as you tear off a paper towel to dry your hands
"I saw your poster on your bedroom and I think this is the good time to finally watch this film"
You let your jaw drop and he chuckles "You haven't seen it yet?!?" you're so appalled
"I'm sorry" he laughs "I'm more like into horror, I dig that kind of stuff"
you hum "You're in for a treat!" you say with a wide smile as you sat down beside him and he wrap his arms around you
You look up at him and he is already staring at you "You should expand your knowledge in films too, you're missing a lot!"
"Yeah, I think I need to" he nods
"Oh, yes you are!" you elbowed his stomach playfully and he snorted, you scoff at him "you're so uncultured!"
He dramatically acts like he is being stabbed in the heart and you laugh
You pat his knee "Now, pay attention" as you point at the television
He smirks at you and he squeezes you
you both cuddled up together at night as he embraces you while you bury yourself on his chest
He snuggled with you and kept telling you that you look stunning yesterday and he is so starstruck at your performance
You grin at him and he is worried about your period, you felt a little dizzy, so he gave you a glass of water
"Why do I deserve to have someone like you" you told him as you place the glass on the bed side table
"Because you let me take care of you" he says as you scoot over to give him space and you throw yourself onto him as soon as his on your side and he chortled
You both said "I love you's" a zillion times already
"I love you, sweetheart" he says to you while he rubs your back
"I love you even more" you say as you hug him
It feels so warmth on his arms, you can't even express how joyful you are
It's 6am in the morning and Eddie shuts his eyes when he saw the bright sunlight at the window, he flinches a little
He froze when you moved slightly not wanting to wake you up, instead, he put his arms around you
Caressing your head lulling you to sleep....
Dustin is right "he is a good dude" more like the greatest
🎶"Just trust in me, like I trust in you"🎶

Kak Juls testimonial: Asalamualaikum kak.. Its been an honor to be doll up by you.. Every bride and groom will choose dates like 11.11.11 or 20.11.2011 (dates that are unique and easier to remember). But for us we choose the dates that you are available. That is how I truly madly deeply I wanted you to be my mak andam. Even my fiancee who is now my husband query me. But nobody knows how your works are till they saw it with their own eyes. I've seen your magical touch on those brides and subhannallah they look gorgeous. You boost up my confidence too throughout the 2 days that you were with us.. being a bride on that special day can be nerve wreaking but you make it easier and bearable for me. Insya-Allah our path will cross again. Who knows my other 8 cousins might 'secretly' engage you.. Thanks to you and kak Yati.. Somehow I felt like a princess on those 2 special days.. I guess namamu jadi sebutan when we go over to our relative houses when the photos are ready.
Ps: I heard the groom was not able to take his eyes away from me before the akad nikah. Hehehehe.
Couple Name: Siti Rahayu and Shahrulnizat Wedding Date of Event: 22 October 2011 via E-mail
Ur not only a superb mak andam, ur my confidant, adviser & a dear friend. To the most talented & affable Kak Juls, thanks a million for dolling me up. Albeit some technical issues & mishaps during the wedding from my side, u as a mak andam did more than just that!
You lifted my spirits, boost my morale & confidence with ur uber positive attitude & encouraging words. Im a happy & beautiful bride because of u!
Kindly note to future brides that a mak andam can either make u or break u. The most crucial & important person for ur wedding is not ur bridesmaid, sister or best friend. It’s the mak andam! She will be ur beautician, buddy & even bodyguard for 10hours straight throughout the event. 10hours a is a long event indeed hence u will need somebody upbeat & positive to keep u going and its definitely Kak Juls.
Im a living proof that a (problematic...hehe) bride like me can still be happy & confident no matter what the circumstances is All thanks to Kak Juls. She has proven me that a mak andam job is not just merely putting colors on ur face but she’s the “Doctor & Engineer” In making brides look her best for her biggest day. She stayed with me throughout the 10hours event not leaving me out from her sight unlike other Mak andam who makeup & go. Syukran Kak Juls & Abg Imran…im bersyukur beyond words :)
Yours faithfully, Ayu & Shahrul

Salam Kak Juls,
Below is my testimonial.
Dear Kak Juls, Sorry I took so long to write this testimonial. Thank you so much for your services rendered. You were so patient with me even though I was a very restless bride. Hope you understand that I haven’t seen some of my guests/friends/relatives for sometime (a few years even!), and when I saw them that day, I had to go over and give em’ a big hug!
The jubah for the nikah is gorgeous; the make-up ‘transformed’ me, guests commented I look different, beautiful, etc., so thumbs up!
Thank you again!
From Syahirah & Ahmad

To: Kak Juls, Firstly, we would like to apologize for the delay in delivering this. We don't even know where to start when it comes to explaining how satisfied we were to have hired you - everything from the beginning till the end, was filled with silly jokes and laughters! There wasn't an awkward moment at all with you and your crew and as the bride, that was a huge relief cause I was nerve-wrecked! Thanks for allowing me to keep the music on too..LOL! And finally, thank you so much for holding my hand throughout the whole solemnization - that meant a lot! =) May your passion in beautifying women be a continued success to you cause without a doubt, you are great at it! Insya'Allah.
With love, Dilla & Kamil
Couple Name: Nur Atiqah and Syaiful Hilmi Wedding Date of Event: 1 - 2 October 2011 via Email
Dear Kak Juls, firstly, i would like to say a million thanks to you for making me look so pretty on my big day. Ive never felt more confident in my life. Im truly satisfied with the service you have rendered. As promised, you were by my side all the way till the end. Always prepared to touch up, to help me up the stairs or to just simply remind me "adik,smile.." and you make me feel relaxed whenever i get really nervous with your bubbly attitude. Apart from your super duper skills or what i like to call "magic hands" (i dont have to tell you how awesome you are with your make up skills), these are the other extra services that was provided which i feel is equally important. I dont speak make up or beauty language for my knowledge about them is as close to zero but what i can say is, from the day i signed the agreement with you, i knew you would be perfect for me. And after im all made up, i was even more certain i couldnt have got anyone better. Hey,my husband said "im so ecstatic to see you all dolled up but still recognisable." Trust me, coming from Hil,he loved how i looked!
Thank you Kak Juls for being you, Abang Imran for making the process an enjoyable and pecah perut-able one(you both showed me and hil alot on how a husband & wife should be), and Kak lina, for being the best assistant ever!! :D
Love you Kak Juls, may JulsDsweet have a blessed business ahead. InsyaAllah. Will be supporting you.
P.S: Cukup time, mesti jumpa lagi sebab semua my cousins berkenan dengan your makeup. Hee! :)
Best Regards, Nur Atiqah

Ahmad and I were fortunate to have you as our mak andam. We are grateful for all the little extra things that you did, like suggesting photo shoot ideas and getting us plenty of hydration! InsyaAllah, we will highly recommend u to any brides-to-be. Keep in touch and may Allah bless you.

Salam Kak Juls,
Apologies for this late testimonial.
My deepest gratitude to you, Kak Juls and your assistant, Su, for making our wedding definitely a lifetime experience. I was surprised by the transformation you've made. I was amazed by your talent as you put on the colours effortlessly.
My husband,Osman, the man of few words, infact not used having me putting on vibrant makeup but throughout the 2 days, he smiled and without much comments. I believe he liked how my look was. hehe
On top of that, you are someone whom i felt comfortable to build rapport with. I remembered having jitters before my solemnization and when I glanced at you, I am just glad that you gave me the assurance smile. :)
Once again, both Osman and I would like to say thank you for everything. Hope to meet up with you again soon perhaps this time on facial tips. ;)
Love, Hanah

Salam kak juls!!!!
Heres the long overdue testi...
Subhanallah how do we even begin? Thats the reason why it is overdue in the 1st place as I cant words to describe how thankful I am of your presence and expertise on our wedding day. Im not the 1st and Im so sure I wldnt be the last bride to change her wedding day just to have you as a mak andam (Our mums almost kill us over this ;) ) but alhamdullillah we have NO regrets.
I wouldnt comment much on your skills coz it is so apparent based on all your brides' transformation. We received lots of compliments because of you. You are so particular of every single details not just for me but also for him. You endlessly make sure we look perfect and even touch up my make up after 5 min journey from my house to the wedding car. Thats how hardworking your are!!!
What I would love to mention is the wonderful you as a person. I have seen mak andams who simply do their jobs and cant be bothered with anything else but that is definitely not you. You LISTEN patiently on what we want, you offer suggestions, repeatedly remind us both to smile and simply make sure we look our best and are comfortable. You are so meticulous in grooming both of us and what we are so thankful of is you give wonderful advices on our journey as husband and wife. You really make us feel as though we matter; not just as your clients of the week. Even our mums love you and think you're full of budi bahasa.
We wana thank Abg Im too for his endless jokes trying to make us comfortable during fittings, his advices for both of us, his sincerity in asking us to contact either of you if we ever need any listening ear.
You are so full of talents kak juls but instead of being proud of it, you are truly 1 of the nicest and sincere person that with Allah's will, we have the chance to know. Thank you kak for everything that you have done for us; there is no way we can repay you. May Allah always bless you, your career and your family. Love you!!! Muah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Assalamualaikum KaK Juls,
Forgive us for the very late testimonial.
We know that our wedding is way back in Jan and We didnt had a chance to express our Utmost Sincere THANK YOU to u for the best service that we never had imagined.
From the very first time I looked at the pictures on your multiply when my friend recommended me, I was really attracted to how you did makeup for all your pengantin. I really doa banyak2 hoping that your price range will be within our budget. Alhamdullillalh it is. Even my husband yang cerewet makeup pun agreed on the decision I made. He said,"Ah! Ni boleh la. Lawa & tak over sangat." Was so happy when he said that. To the extent, I even changed my wedding date just to get you.
After talking to you for the first meetup, You know well that we both love simplicity but we will expect simplicity to be the best & we are proud to say that you delivered it all well. You've been patient with what I want for my outfits and makeup. You will always try your very best not to disappoint us. We did not regret even a single bit engaging you as my mak andam. The outfits that you helped us choose & especially the make up. SUPER GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE IT to the max! For once, I felt that I am the princess of the day. People looked at me and I get compliments everywhere saying that I looked gorgeous. Even until now I still hear people praising the makeup that you put on for me on my wedding day. Most importantly, You made me less nervous during those time constrained moments and can still crack jokes. You never fail to put a smile on your face no matter what happens which made me smile all day long too.
Alhamdullillah now everything is settled and you are still there to give me & husband advices and support, not forgetting Abg Im too. I still remember Abg Im said,"Now we've build a stronger relationship, thats the most important thing." Im so touched when I heard that. Really... Thank you so much for making our wedding a success! We really miss those moments that we spend with you & Abg Im from the fitting sessions & on the day itself with you especially. I cant stop looking at the wedding pictures kak. Mesmerized by the eye makeup. WOW!! Wished that special day is always tomorrow.
For bride-to-be, what are you waiting for? The best mak andam you can ever find, insyaallah no regrets. P.S: Your namecards is still with me, & if anybody ask about your service, I wont think twice on recommending you to them. I better stop here, or else it'll get longer & longer. Between You, Md Alif and Imah Ramlan Imah Ramlan on February 17 at 9:23am
Hi Kak Juls,
Thank you so much for your part in making our wedding such a beautiful event!
After Jaja’s wedding in 2009, I was sure whom I wanted as my Mak Andam. It was truly a pleasure to have had you as my Mak Andam. You’re a powerful combination of talent and personality – I like!! :) From the get-go, you put our minds at ease by being meticulous, calm and ever so friendly. It was like having a trusted friend around: there was nothing to worry about because you diligently took care of everything in terms of the bridal outfits and makeup.
Thank you so much too for making me feel beautiful – I’m sure every bride dreams of looking and feeling pretty on her wedding day and you made it come true for me! :)
Could not thank you enough for being with me throughout the solemnisation event. I did not expect such emotions but you were there to help me overcome them. Alhamdulillah..
Once again, thank you Kak Juls! May your dreams be fulfilled and may success and happiness surround you and your family always, insyaAllah.
Lots of love, Imah & Alif
Couple Name: Siti Nuraishah and Muhd Zakariah Wedding Date of Event: 15 - 16 January 2011 via Facebook PM
Salam Kak Juls,
Sorry for the late testimonial. Well, better late then never. Heehe... So here goes:
It was late 2008 when I chance upon your site while doing my research for my engagement. I was really impressed with what I saw. I wanted you to doll me up for my engagement but you were already booked. So sad. When it was time for my wedding, I didn't have to look very far because I have already made up my mind long ago. I made it a point to book you real advance. Takut terlepas lagi. :P
It was a pleasure having you as my mak andam. From your tips to your jokes to your advices, there was never a dull moment. Make up was really so beautiful. That's the reason why I chose you in the first place. Many complimented on your makeup saying how beautiful it was and how pretty you made me look. Besides the makeup, the service rendered was first class! Your friendly, cheerful & easy-going personality made everyone, especially hubby & I feel at ease. You came very early too, even earlier then my relatives..! :) That's a major plus point. The last thing a bride need is a mak andam who is late and in the end has to rush through the makeup. That is what happened to a friend but that's a totally different story.
I am really glad I took you as my mak andam. If I had the chance to do it all over again (with the same guy of course hehe) I will definately ask you to doll me up again! After the event, I sooo sayang to wash my face seh. To all brides-to-be, look no further! I promise, you won't be dissapointed.
I wish you all the best in your endeavours. Keep doing what you do. You'll make many brides feel special on their big day. I know I did. Sorry testi ni terpanjang pulak.. Hehe. Till we meet again, Insyallah. Thank you so so much Kak Juls.

“Order up!”
Sighing at the call of yet another order, you adjust your pink roller skates before gliding over to the counter to collect the finished order from one of the cooks who’s clearly had a long shift, as you could tell from the tone of his voice. Through the noises of the busy kitchen with burgers grilling, french fries sizzling, and fellow carhop waitresses skating back and forth from inside the kitchen to the vehicles parked outside, you could still make out the lyrics to Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock playing from the speakers.
“I sure would be delighted with your company,” you sing along, “Come on ‘n do the Jailhouse Rock with me.”
“Y/n! Hurry up already!” You jump at the sound of the head waitress’ voice, interrupting your mini sing-along. Straightening your posture, you say, “Yes ma’am.”
Balancing two trays of food on your left arm, you read the written order in your right. Light blue Ford Thunderbird, 2 bacon cheeseburger meals, 2 strawberry milkshakes. You skate out the door, careful not to drop the trays of food, and pass by a row of cars until you see the light blue convertible the meals belonged to. Displaying your brightest smile and cheeriest voice, you stop at the side of the car and read, “Two bacon cheeseburger meals with a pair of strawberry milkshakes?”
The older couple in the vehicle nodded their heads. “That’s us,” the man in the driver’s seat stated. You pass over their meals and napkins, collect the money, and wish them a good meal before heading back into the kitchen.
It’s been a very busy shift, considering it’s a Saturday afternoon, and it’s definitely kept you on your toes. On days like this, you’re especially thankful for the swift and easy transportation you’re provided by the roller skates you and the other waitresses are ordered to wear with your uniform - a collared button-down top, a poodle skirt, and a half apron. And of course you can’t forget the perky little hat with your restaurant’s logo on it. The smell of the food, the laughter, the rock music playing on the radio, and the feel of the wind blowing by you on your skates as your skirt swayed in the wind - it all makes this job worthwhile.
Before you reach the doors to go back inside, a honking noise behind you stops you in your tracks. You turn toward the car pulling up in an empty spot and prepare to take their order. Hurriedly, you pat down your uniform trying to find your notepad tucked away somewhere in one of the pockets. Although distracted, you decide to waste no time and get right into your introduction while still searching for the notepad. “Hi there and thank you for stopping at Neo’s Drive-In Diner, the finest carhop service in-“
“Well if it isn't Y/N L/N.” You’re interrupted by the voice of one of the most popular boys at your high school.
Looking up, you meet the eyes of Lee Jeno, sitting in the passenger’s seat, and give him a polite smile. “That’s me. It’s good to see you, Jeno.”
“Hey.” Behind the wheel, and closest to you, sat Zhong Chenle, the boy you’ve been crushing on since you’ve met him. With his elbow propped up on the car door, he greets you with his charming smile.
“Hey,” you respond, smiling a little too hard. You turn towards the back of the car and wave at his other two friends, Jisung and Jaemin. The four of them, as well as a few other friends that complete their clique, are the most talked about kids in your high school. Although you don’t consider yourself popular at all, you have grown a bit of a friendship with Chenle, who you’ve just recently started growing comfortable speaking to on a regular basis. With your budding friendship with Chenle, you’ve also grown closer with his popular group of friends.
“Nice wheels,” Chenle complimented, pointing at your skates.
Flattered, you giggle and thank him. “And you too! What is that, a ‘57 Chevrolet Corvette?”
He raises his eyebrows. “Ah, so you know your cars, huh? Impressive.”
“I do see a whole lot of ‘em these days, ” you say, gesturing towards the several automobiles around you.
Flashing his incredibly attractive smile, Chenle beams at you, making you shyly look down at your skates while adjusting the collar of your uniform.
“Uh, yeah... enough of the flirting. This is my ride by the way. He’s just driving it ‘cause he begged me to let him,” Jeno laughs, ignoring Chenle’s hard glare. “He thinks he’s hip now since he got his license the other day.”
“Well, you look like you were made for the driver’s seat,” you wink at him, somehow hiding the shock you felt at the unexpected boost of confidence you just displayed. Raising the notepad you finally found in the waistband of your skirt, you ask, “What can I get you, boys?”
“What’re you doing talking to those dreamboats over there?” your friend and coworker Molly says, nudging your side with her elbow as you both stood in the kitchen waiting for your next deliveries.
“Just... talking,” you say, eyeing her.
“Isn’t that Chenle and his crew?”
You turn to look out the window and see Chenle running his hand through his hair, checking himself out in the side view mirror of the car. He and his friends were singing along to the radio while waiting for their food. Something about Chenle in his varsity cardigan and slacks, sitting in the front seat of a shiny, red convertible was so attractive to you.
“Yup, that’s them.”
“When’re you gonna ask Chenle out?” she says with a smirk.
You turn towards her, wide-eyed. “What?! What makes you think I wanna ask him out?”
She shrugs and raises her hands in defense. “I dunno. It couldn’t possibly be because of the countless times you’ve been caught staring at him in geography class.” You glare at the evident sarcasm in her tone. “I mean, who wouldn’t want to ask out someone as dreamy as him.”
“Exactly. I’m sure someone already has and he’s not available for me to ask out anyways. Hell, he may even have a date later tonight.”
Molly rolls her eyes. “Whatever, y/n. I find that real hard to believe. He seems into you.”
You gape at her, unconvinced, and look back out the window where you met Chenle’s gaze. You quickly hide your face, wondering if he was really staring at you or looking for someone with their orders to speed up.
“Order up! Red Chevrolet Corvette. Four burger and fries combos. Four Coca-Colas.”
Molly pats your back and you take that as a cue to pick up their orders and deliver them. At the counter, you grab all four meals and shuttle them out to the car with ease. As you approach the car, the boys cheer, hoot, and holler at the arrival of their food, turning the heads of the customers in the surrounding vehicles.
“Alright, alright,” you laugh, as you begin to quiet them down, passing out the trays. As soon as they receive their meals, they begin digging in like animals, except for Chenle who was taking out his wallet to pay you.
“Here. Keep the change,” he says, placing the money in your hand as you feel a much heavier amount than expected. Before you can object to the extra pay, he says, “Oh, and I have something to ask you”, leaning closer to you from his seat, separating himself from the noise his friends were making.
“What’s up?”
“So, we’re planning on watching A Night To Remember at the drive-in cinema later tonight. If you want, we can pick you up after your shift and drive over there together. We might even go bowling after the movie. I mean, you don’t have to, of course. I know these guys can be a bit wild but Jeno’s bringing a date anyways and you wouldn’t even have to talk to the others if you don’t wanna-” He stops himself, noting the shocked expression on your face. “I’m sorry…”
“No! No, no need to be sorry for anything, I just- I- You want me to come with you?” you question.
“If it’s alright with you,” he says, with a hopeful look on his face. “I know taking a girl out on a date typically doesn’t involve rowdy friends, but uh-”
“A date? Chenle, I’d be glad to be your date under any circumstances,” you say, smiling widely at the offer.
“Really? Sweet! I’ll pick you up in a couple of hours.”
“Sounds good!”
You could hardly hide your excitement. You skate twice as fast back to the kitchen and almost forget you’re still on the job. As soon as you find Molly, you share the news of your date with Chenle and the both of you nearly squeal with delight before Molly is called to take another order. Turning around, watching her skate out the door, you make eye contact with Chenle who must have seen you freak out with Molly just seconds earlier.
You stand there staring at him, frozen and slightly embarrassed, and he stares back with his burger up to his mouth. After a few seconds of unbroken eye contact, he starts laughing. His laughter immediately brings a smile to your face and soon enough, you’re laughing with him through the window. His friends begin to wonder what he’s laughing at and why, and you see the expression on Chenle’s face shift once the boys start teasing him and laughing. Now that it’s his turn to be embarrassed, you find the exchange quite hilarious. Watching him made the grin on our face stretch from ear to ear.
“You better not be flirting with customers on the job, young lady.” The head waitress said from behind you, reeling you back into the present.
“Order up!”

27 FOR BOTH LILY AND RONNIE
Nick! Thanks for asking! ❤️🥰 I’ve decided to put together also the other ask, about question n.10, because I have an idea for Lily... so, here we go! Beware, it’s gonna be long... but I hope you’ll enjoy it! 💫
10) What kind of secret cutscene room would be in their house (hi Haley, Caroline)? 27) What’s their tragic 8-heart or 10-heart backstory event?
🐣 LILY 🐣
A thing I’ve been trying to do in-game is to make a little workshop for Lily, in one of her farm’s rooms. I like the idea that the player (or whoever, considering Lily as NPC) would find her secret lab/workshop and catch her almost red-handed while fussing with some tools.
“Oh, it’s you! You scared me!
... Eh. You’ve found it. That’s my secret lab. It took me a while to find the right tools and decorate this place, and I know it doesn’t look professional... but I like it!
My dad is a computer scientist, so when I was a kid, he would let me and my brother play with motherboards and old hardware components. While it didn’t grow on my brother, it did on me, and I became passionate about electronics. I loved to mess around with electric devices in our house!
I started studying the topic at a quite young age, and I got into university wanting to become an electrical engineer. Then... things happen, y’know? I wasn’t happy, neither my passion would make me happy. I dropped out of university and... you know the rest, here I am in Stardew Valley.
Working at the farm boosted my passion again, and I got so many ideas that would improve the farm! I couldn’t bear it anymore, so I decided to build this workspace. Can you keep it secret, please? I don’t want the others to ask questions...
... What I’m building, you ask? It’s a metal detector! It’s small, but it should work! Look, here’s the circuit diagram and I’m connecting the components now...”
It would be so cute if she could drop a metal detector too!
🔥RONNIE 🔥
You’d trigger Ronnie’s tragic backstory (lol) heart event when entering Cindersnap Forest! Ronnie’s trying to make a phone call but he’s noticeably nervous and more serious, compared to his usual. It May or may not be useful, but I think Ronnie would be one an NPC like Kent, that pops up after some time and everybody are like “??? ? new character who dis”, hehe-
“... Ehi.
... Have you ever been nervous about making a call? Eh. Not a banal one, of course. An important one, I mean, one of those calls that make your hands sweaty and your head light.
... I wanted to call my dad. My mom doesn’t want to hear about me or my sister Lily, but my dad is different. We rarely talk, but sometimes he secretly sends mails to Lily or messages to me... to make sure we are fine. Despite the fact we have let our parents’ down, we still are their children, and my dad remembers it.
We haven’t heard for months, at this point... so, I wanted to tell him that I’ve finally visited Lily in Stardew Valley, that we are fine, that she’s handling the farm very well and that we are supporting each other. But... buh.
... Maybe I should just do it, right? Call him- what’s the worst that could happen? ... Yeah. Yeah, okay! I’ll do it. And, later, we are going to the Stardrop Saloon and get a drink, ok?
...
... It’s ringing...
... Oh! Dad?”
#boiii that's long but I'm very happy about it!#I'm loving these asks so much aaa#so so sorry I am very slow! I am struggling with some work deadlines#lilystuff#lilyart#oh I love that ronnie is in this too#sdv oc#sdv farmer#sdv#stardew valley#space-katze

ace ventura for the ask game!!
THANK U VIV LETS GO 💖💖💖💖
-What made me like them
Mmmm gotta be honest it's really just. That Jim Carrey factor, and Ace is one of the MOST unabashed characters that Carrey's acted as. Basically what I mean is Ace is so wild and off the wall and just does random shit cuz he CAN, its both hilarious and very fun to watch (especially since I am pretty Weird myself hehe)
-My favorite thing about them
Oooh so like I just said, I do love how unashamed he is to be a total nutjob and own it the whole time, BUT surprisingly thats not my number one fave things about him! (Altho it is a VERY close third 🥺💖💖) No actually my favorite thing about him is BOTH his amazingly impressive intelligence and his genuine love for animals!! 💖💖 I just adore the way that he's so smart and great with detective work that he probably could be a human detective if he wanted to, but he CHOSE to be a pet detective cuz he feels a closer connection and understanding of animals than people.... fuck I made myself emotional AAAAH I LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM 🥺💖🥺💖🥺
-Nicknames we have for each other
OOOOH Well I'm a bit unoriginal so I like sticking with the classics like sweetie and darling, but I do like to call him "hot stuff" to boost his ego hehe 💘💘 And he has all sorts of pet names for me (heehee gET IT) based on different animals, but his favorite one to call me is "honey bunny" 🥺💖🥺💖🥺💖
-A headcanon of our relationship/friendship
So I like to think that after the events that transpired at the start of the second film, where Ace joins that group of Tibetan monks, it would actually have been a YEAR since he last went off into the mountains, so when Greenwall finds Ace again and recruits him to go to Africa, he would also inform Ace that I, his beloved wife and business partner, was also waiting at the bottom of the mountain to see him again. When we're at last together again, I'd be mad at him to say the least, and would even start saying that I'd never forgive him for disappearing for a year and never even sending a letter to let me know he was okay, but after a little bit of sweet talking I would warm up to him again and forgive him 🥺💖💖
-My favorite image of them
I'm a simple girl, and this is simply HOT 😳💘💘 Don't get me wrong I absolutely adore all his crazy faces but I definitely find it ironic that one of his more neutral faces is one of my favorites, but just the way he's lookin down and that LITTLE SMIRK OOOOOH 😳💘😳💘😳
-Anything else!
A lot of ppl say they watched the Ace Ventura movies while growing up BUT I actually didn't even see them until 2019. So glad I did tho 🥺💘🥺💘🥺💘🥺💘

Merry
all ages, fresh precure, berry/passion, 4,190 words
what are two girls who’ve never dated anyone to do but see what it’s like together? it’s only the natural conclusion.
ao3 / ffnet
“I really like how organized your room is,” Setsuna noted, turning her head from side to side as she slowly walked through it. When her eyes fell on the bookcase, she paused to examine it. “Especially all these books. It’s impressive, keeping them all grouped by color like this.”
“Oh, that’s nothing,” Miki replied dismissively, but the pride in her tone expressed how well she was taking the compliment. She observed Setsuna’s progress from her place seated primly at her vanity table. “Leaving things out of place just isn’t perfect, you know?”
“But you go above and beyond, and I think that’s amazing.” Setsuna gave her a refreshing smile before leaning down to inspect a set of light blue spines. “This is a series, isn’t it? What’s it about?”
Miki shifted her posture to look around her shoulder. “Black Sparrow? It’s about a high school girl who becomes a detective and uses that name for her alias. I’ve collected them since I was in primary school.”
“Really.” Setsuna straightened up and turned toward her. “It must be good, then. Do you think I could find the first one at the library?”
“One of my best friends can borrow it straight from me,” Miki responded with a wink, and Setsuna’s eyes widened. “I’m not reading it right now, and I trust you to take care of it. I’d love to have someone to talk about it with.”
“If you don’t mind, then.” Feeling a rush of joy both from the designation of best friend and Miki’s encouragement, Setsuna carefully pulled the book from the shelf. It was just the right size to fit in her purse. “I’ll be sure to tell you what I think about it.”
As Setsuna moved to take a seat across from her at her desk, Miki smiled cheerfully. “I can’t wait. You know, it’s gotten much easier to talk to you now. I’m glad you could make time for me today.”
“It’s a relief to hear that,” Setsuna replied, rotating the chair to face Miki directly before sitting down. “Thank you for inviting me. I know last time we were alone wasn’t much fun.”
“It’s been a while, and we needed a chance to try it again. Plus, there’s always more to talk about.”
“Did you have something in mind?”
Miki nodded, then gave her a sly look. “Was there any dating in Labyrinth?”
Setsuna tilted her head. “Dating? No. I’d never even heard of it before coming here.”
“Is there anyone you’ve thought about dating since then?”
“I haven’t thought about it at all. Should I?”
“Why not? It could be a lot of fun with the right person. Hey, if you did, do you think you’d like to go out with boys or someone else?”
Setsuna stared down at the pale floorboards, giving it some serious thought. Dating was spending one-on-one time with someone, touching affectionately and being touched in return. At least, that was what she understood of it so far. “I don’t know for sure, but I’ve never exactly wanted to be alone with one of the boys.”
“Right?” Miki looked thrilled with the answer. “Boys are overrated. I’d rather let them think my brother is my boyfriend than have them ask me out. But some still do…” she added with a sigh.
“Hehe, you’re popular with others too, aren’t you?”
“Yes, but some people find me unapproachable. No one has ever confessed to me that I could see myself with.”
“So you’ve never dated anyone?”
“Hard to believe, right? And you’ve never dated anyone either.”
“That’s right.”
Miki leaned toward her expectantly. “Soooo?”
“So?” Setsuna repeated quizzically.
“Why don’t we fix that and try it together?”
“Try it… together?” she asked with a blink, long having lost the thread of logic tying together this line of questioning.
Standing up, Miki strode over to her and held out her hand. “Today, I’ll be your girlfriend.”
Setsuna glanced between her friend’s optimistic face, her hand, and back. Delayed realization dawned on her. “Eh?!”
—————
The sun shone brightly on Clover Town Street that morning, casting moving shadows below the rustling leaves of the line of trees at its center. Miki and Setsuna had strolled through it together before, but this was the first time Miki had laced their fingers together between them. She was in such a good mood that she sometimes swung their hands forward and back a little, and Setsuna continued trying to mentally catch up with this turn of events.
“Are you sure holding hands like this is okay, Miki?” she asked self-consciously, furtively glancing around. They weren’t alone in the district, but no one seemed to look at them for long.
“Hm? Why wouldn’t it be? Girls our age still sometimes hold hands like this as friends. No one’s going to think it’s anything else.”
“Oh… I see. But what if they do? You’re a model; they’d probably think you should be with someone more like you.”
Miki squeezed her hand. “I’m not embarrassed about being with you, Setsuna. In fact, I’m happy to show you off.”
A blush colored Setsuna’s cheeks. Awkwardly, she angled her head away. “Don’t tease me too much today, okay?” That side of Miki was cute, but she was becoming more aware of the fact that her inexperienced heart wouldn’t be able to handle it.
“Geez, I’m not always teasing~ Ah, the cinema’s right here.” Lightly tugging on Setsuna’s hand, Miki led her up to an old brick building. Setsuna caught the name of the establishment on the marquee before they passed under it, and there was a detailed listing of films on a rearrangeable sign between two sets of double doors. Miki stopped them there. “Did you give what kind of movie you want to see some thought? New showings will be starting in a few hours.”
Setsuna, looking around at the movie posters instead of the show times, left her gaze on one with an older boy and girl posing with a cat. She knew Miki preferred having some kind of opinion over none, and it gave her a good feeling. “What about “Love Fur Real”?”
Miki laughed, quickly putting her hand over her mouth to quiet more of them. “I thought that pun was awful, but it is funny when you say it so seriously.”
“Um, thanks,” Setsuna replied, not convinced it was something she should be proud of. “Do you want to see it?”
“Of course. I love a good romantic comedy. Let’s come back closer to the time.” Hand in hers, she guided Setsuna back onto the neatly paved path.
“What will we do until then?”
“I have the perfect idea,” Miki announced proudly. “We’ll go clothes shopping.”
“Is there something you need a new outfit for?” Setsuna asked, head tilted.
“No, we’re going shopping for you.”
“Wait, I don’t need anything either—”
“Nonsense. We’re on a date today, and this time, I want to dress up my girlfriend. Is that okay?”
Both Miki’s words and playful expression flustered Setsuna. “I… I guess so…” It wasn’t like she had to buy anything, right? And it would make Miki happy.
It definitely did. “Great. We can start right around here. A store with a style like yours is nearby, and we can branch out into the city afterward.”
Setsuna felt a bit tired suddenly, but she couldn’t deny that she enjoyed the special attention. Miki could have chosen anyone at all as her dress-up doll, and Setsuna imagined her eye for fashion would have made them instantly more beautiful. She just hoped Miki could find something on her that this expert would find worth her time.
The first shop was one Setsuna had been to with the Momozonos after joining them with barely more than the clothes on her back. It wasn’t as cutting edge as those further into Yotsuba, but it was within her comfort zone. About halfway through, she realized that was why Miki had chosen it in the first place.
“Aah, you look good in pants and skirts! It’s so hard to decide which is better,” Miki observed fondly, her hands clasped together in front of her. A pink-faced Setsuna was amateurishly turning for her in front of the dressing room, comfortable in the dark and delicately-laced skirt Miki had picked otherwise. It was already clear the compliments were going to make this feel like much more of a new experience than it was.
They left that store empty-handed. Miki had agreed with Setsuna that she didn’t need more of the same filling up her closet. On their way to the train, someone finally did acknowledge the two girls holding hands by waving at Miki. Friendly and composed, Miki used her free hand to wave back as they continued on their way.
“So you really aren’t embarrassed about being with me,” Setsuna said afterward, surprised by how relieving it was that Miki hadn’t moved away from her.
“I told you so. You’re not embarrassed about being with me, are you?”
Setsuna shook her head. “I think… I’m proud, honestly,” she admitted, and Miki’s smile radiated self-confidence.
Surrounded by buildings rising much higher into the sky, their next stop was a store with a clean and functional interior. Miki helped line a dressing room with sporty looks and then had her model the strikingly colorful assortment.
“I never thought about wearing these before, but they’re pretty practical,” Setsuna mused, looking down the length of her polo to the end of her cargo capris.
“They are, and they can be in style, too. If you keep up with the trends, you’ll find out when.” Miki looked her up and down as well. “It’s cute, but the mature look really does suit you best so far. Why don’t we move on?”
The next building Miki led her into was flashier, and the smooth black floor was shiny enough to see their reflections in. As Setsuna was more distracted by it than a lot of the clothes, Miki was the one to fill her arms again and send her on her way. Modeling the dark denim, torn band T-shirt and sleeveless black dress was getting easier, despite how radical the change was getting.
Of course, Miki’s support helped that a lot. “You pull off the cool look so well. If we were a little older, you’d look right at home at a live house.”
“You think so?” Setsuna asked, breathlessly pausing her rotation. The flattery was boosting her confidence, but it was also making her lightheaded.
“I do. Actually, I think mixing a touch of this with your usual clothes once in a while would bring out the best in you.”
“Thank you. But…”
“What?” Miki asked patiently.
“...What’s a live house?”
After Setsuna changed back into her own clothes and they held a short discussion, they agreed Setsuna should take the cropped denim jacket with her. One shopping bag left with them.
Miki was set on one more store she already had in mind, but on the way they passed an ice cream stall that her attention lingered on for a little too long. Noticing her friend’s distracted state, Setsuna tilted her head forward. “Do you want to get ice cream first?”
“Eh?” Miki’s eyes snapped back to her. “Well, if we do, we’re probably not going to want anything at the cinema.”
“That’s fine with me,” Setsuna said with a cheery expression, and once Miki mirrored it, they settled on sitting down with a pair of cones. Both of them managed to be surprised at the vivid swirls of color on display, and that made Setsuna feel more like they were on equal footing. They returned to their usual state of not holding hands for as long as it took them to eat, but resuming it afterward felt natural by then.
She’d never realized how adorable Miki looked when she was enjoying something that much.
The last stop was a boutique cute both inside and out, with a pleasantly pink interior and crowded clothing racks. The frilliest dresses Setsuna had ever seen were on display. They didn’t look childlike, but they were a lot to take in.
“You want me to try on one of these?” Setsuna asked, warily regarding the voluminous skirt of one of the mannequins.
“It’ll be refreshing,” Miki answered, winking at her when she glanced over.
Setsuna sighed. She was no match for this fashion style or her friend’s eagerness. “All right.”
She was promptly dressed up in both black and red dresses, a pastel blue skirt, and a matching frilly blouse. Miki was completely enchanted by the last combination, dreamily holding a hand to her face as Setsuna curtsied for her. “You look just like a doll,” she commented. “I’m too tall to manage that now, but your height is just fine.”
“So… it looks good?” Setsuna sheepishly clasped her hands together behind her. She was more than a little skeptical when she looked into a mirror, but the reflection in Miki’s eyes was always kinder.
“Definitely. I don’t think any of these were really you, though, so we should come back another day if you’d like to buy something. I’m sure we’ll find one that’s right.”
“Haha. I’ll think about it,” Setsuna replied, and she turned away her shy smile to slip back into the dressing room.
On their way back to the train, Setsuna was the one to lead them into one final browse at an accessory store. Filled with other students, the hair decorations and jewelry were impressively affordable. Despite the bustle, the atmosphere was cozy, with abundant sunlight illuminating the glass cases and quirky shelves.
“Did you find something interesting, Setsuna?” Miki asked from over her shoulder after they’d split up for a couple minutes. Setsuna nodded, pointing to a set of thin silver bangle bracelets.
“The gemstone flowers in the center are pretty, and they come in so many colors,” she explained.
A few seconds of mulling it over later, Miki plucked the bangle with the red flower and the bangle with the blue flower from the display. “They’re not expensive, so let’s get them.”
Setsuna blinked at her. “Just like that?”
“If you don’t want to, it’s too late to disagree now. We’ll have matching bracelets, just the two of us, so you can’t forget today.” Miki made for the register before Setsuna could get another word in, but she was happy enough to accept through simple silence. Outside, they each slid on their own bangle and took the other’s hand.
They returned to the cinema with a safe amount of time left before the movie. Miki took care of the tickets and their planned seating; Setsuna paid for their drinks. Never having been inside before, Setsuna kept looking curiously at everything around her, and Miki watched her in amusement.
Once she dropped down into one of the plush red chairs in the dim atmosphere of their theater, Setsuna sank right in. “Wow, I didn’t think about how much we’ve been walking until now,” she remarked quietly, careful to not disturb the clusters of other moviegoers seated around them. Time's gone by so fast.”
“It really has. Are you already tired?” Miki was seated in a more elegant way, but Setsuna could tell she was more relaxed than she let on.
“Not really. I could just use some time off my feet in something this comfortable.”
“Don’t fall asleep during the movie,” Miki teased. “We have to talk all about it when it’s over.”
“I won’t. I promise.”
Being so aware of the different nature of the day kept her nerves up just high enough to make sure of that. Her only concern now was the budding disappointment that it would eventually have to end, and whether or not that would prevent her from paying enough attention.
They whispered between themselves until the screening began, and then silent, comfortable darkness took hold for a long time. Whenever Setsuna felt her eyes drifting from the screen, she usually found Miki looking back at her. She sufficiently distracted herself with the cute couple’s misunderstandings and the adorable cat that kept them together, at least.
The lights came on again after the credits. Other attendees began to pick up their things and file out. Miki’s good mood was immediately apparent when the two moved to join them. “Keiko was such a sweet girl. It’s too bad her cooking sense wasn’t as good as her fashion sense.”
“It was nice of Haruto to try to teach her, even if the cat kept causing problems with that.” Setsuna laughed. “Little Yuki was so cute. I would have forgiven her even faster than they did.”
“Remember you said that next time Tarte does something you don’t like.”
“Eh—He’s different. He causes trouble even though we can understand each other, but I’ll do my best.” Setsuna shook her head with a smile, trailing along beside her on the low-lit path out. “This was a fun first movie to see. Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it. I’m grateful for your company too,” Miki returned. Her gaze caught on a clock on the wall as they passed through the first hallway out. “I still have time before I need to go home. Do you?”
Miki really was giving her the entire day. Setsuna was amazed her friend wasn’t bored with her yet. Definitely not there yet herself, she said, “Yes, I do.”
“Is there anywhere you would like to go before then?”
Honestly, she’d been thinking about the answer to that already. It felt silly to say it, but it was both a place she loved visiting and one she thought might be a perfect end to the night.
Bashfully, Setsuna nodded. “Could we go to the restaurant up on the hill?”
—————
By dusk, they were seated at a table covered with a pale blue cloth. The clinking of silverware around them punctuated the warm murmur of conversations of other customers. Their table was inside under the soft lighting spaced throughout the dining room, but the beautiful sky was visible through the wooden awning over the deck. The place was so welcoming each time Setsuna walked through the door, and yet…
“It’s more expensive than I remembered,” Setsuna said awkwardly. “I didn’t think about it before now, because I was never the one paying for it.”
“Magazines don’t just pay in fun, you know. What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn’t treat you to something nice?”
Miki said it so easily — girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend. Setsuna was too stunned by it each time to say anything in return. She was envious of that boldness, but also felt wistful over the possibility that it could be an act at all. With her eyes averted, she said, “You don’t have to go that far just for this…”
She was being awfully spoiled for a pretend date, and it was getting her hopes up.
“Don’t worry. You can pay me back just by enjoying it.”
Miki’s sincere smile was enough to ease anyone’s worries for a little while, and Setsuna nodded. “Okay.”
They discussed previous times they’d been at the restaurant once that was settled, both revealing it was with their families. “I’ve never been here without my mother before,” Miki admitted, looking around as if seeing the establishment in a new light. “It feels so mature. Coming here was a nice idea.”
“I’m glad you think so. I’ve only come here on the Momozono Monthly Eating Out Day, so it’s the same for me.”
“It’s sweet that your family has something like that. It’s never planned that far ahead for us.”
“I think it’s sweet, too.” She couldn’t take credit for starting it, but she could allow herself to be just a little proud of it.
They ended up on a tangent that led to a conversation on their separate schools, and their food came not long into it. It looked and tasted as delicious as usual, and Miki’s enraptured expression after the first bite of her pasta dish was one more adorable thing to add to the list. Setsuna was sure she made something like it when she tried her own, because she could hear Miki giggle from behind her contentedly closed eyes.
She still had room for cake once she cleaned her plate, but only barely. Miki suggested sharing a slice to avoid either of them being too stuffed to walk home, and Setsuna was quick to accept. The rich chocolate dessert melted in her mouth, and she couldn’t think of many more moments she’d felt happier.
Miki paid as promised. It was fully nighttime when they stepped out, leaving only the row of lamps guiding them along the path down the hill to illuminate their stroll. Setsuna had been the one to take Miki’s hand this time, and Miki readily accepted.
Before long, Miki’s arm snuggled up against hers. “It’s gotten chilly out since this afternoon. I suppose it is that time of year.”
Setsuna took a moment to look over Miki’s outfit and see the problem: she had long sleeves, but only a thin scarf around her neck. Of course she would be cold. “Just a second,” she replied, letting go of Miki’s hand and stepping back. She set the shopping bag and her purse down long enough to take off her navy blue blazer and hand it over.
Curiously, Miki took it in hand and blinked. “Setsuna?”
“Go ahead and wear that. I’m not cold at all,” Setsuna explained.
After staring at her a little longer, Miki laughed and rearranged her things to do as she was told. “You could have just given me the jacket you bought today. Now you should put that one on before you do start to feel the chill.”
“Oh, you’re right.” Setsuna returned the laugh nervously and reached for the shopping bag. The denim jacket went on smoothly. She then picked up her things and resumed the walk, feeling Miki take her hand a second later. Setsuna was still kind of embarrassed, but she managed to look over anyway.
For the first time, Miki had a satisfied blush on her face. “...But thank you. It feels more special this way.”
“N-No problem.” Hastily, Setsuna turned her head away. Looking out over the green hill to the wide expanse of Yotsuba, it occurred to her again that their “date” was almost over. She exhaled with the predicted disappointment, unable to find the words to express it instead.
“I had a great time today,” Miki said. “You must have tried pretty hard to understand me since then.”
“I did. You’re my friend just like the others, so I didn’t want things to be awkward forever. And you’ve gotten more patient with me, haven’t you?”
“Was I that obvious?” It was a time Setsuna could picture her playfully sticking out her tongue. “I wanted to become a nicer person, and I wanted to understand you better. You were an important friend to me.”
“Were?” Setsuna repeated.
“Er, well…” As Miki trailed off, she stopped walking. Setsuna paused with her, bringing her gaze back to the other’s conflicted expression. Their clasped fingers kept them connected. “I said it was just for today, but I realized I don’t want it to end here. If you don’t either, I’d like to be your real girlfriend.”
Setsuna froze for as long as it took to process what Miki said. Undeniably genuine this time, girlfriend struck her heart with a tender ache. She wasn’t sure whether she or Miki had the reddest complexion. “Do you mean that?”
Of course she did, but Setsuna wanted the reassurance.
“I do. Could we say today was a real date after all?”
“Yes,” Setsuna replied, a hopeful smile blooming. She stepped back toward Miki, closing the suddenly unnecessary distance. “If you’ll have me, I’d be happy to.”
Miki, too pretty under the lamp overhead, drew another few centimeters closer. Even if they weren’t the only two this far on the path, it would have been impossible to spare any thoughts for someone else. “Do you know what people on a date do now, Setsuna?”
She did. She knew even before today, but the movie’s touching end was still fresh in her mind. It was difficult to believe she could achieve the same happy ending even as she prepared herself for it. “Mm hm,” she answered softly, eyes half closed.
Releasing Setsuna’s hand, both of Miki’s rose to her shoulders instead. She only had the shortest space left to shut her eyes and lean in before her lips pressed against Setsuna’s in a brief, sweet kiss.
When Miki pulled back, Setsuna’s erratic heartbeat continued hammering away in her chest. Miki looked affected as well, but she quickly, outwardly, recovered. “Now, let’s get home before our parents worry too much,” she said confidently, winking at Setsuna as she took her hand one last time. She restarted their progress down the hill, now at a pace where neither was dragging their feet.
One more treasured memory for Setsuna to keep in her heart, their long day together gradually came to a close.

[Image Description: A woman with light skin, shoulder-length red violet hair, and green eyes. She is wearing a white dress shirt, a blue suit jacket with light blue accents, a violet ribbon necktie with a blue and white dragon emblem, a purple skirt, lavender knee-high socks, and dull maroon loafers. She is holding a red and white Pokeball in one hand, the other arm held in a confident pose. Beside her is a fan-made Pokemon based on a five-lined skink with draconic elements. It is a bronze lizard with a long dark turquoise tail and blue lines along its back, long beige horns, a turquoise belly, blue claws on its front legs, and red eyes. The background is a pixellated image of a hallway to a very official-looking building, like a capitol building or library. End ID.]

"So...you've made it through seven of Cantessy's Gyms, and now here you are before me. I am Melia, and I specialize in handling the long-respected strength of dragons. Dragons have been with us since time immemorial, and I intend to show you exactly how they have lasted for so long. Get ready, Trainer. Our battle will be one worthy of going down in history!"
Here's Pokemon Circuit's eighth and final Gym Leader, and the final Gym Leader for the Cantessy Region overall! :D
In Circuit Version's Harrodsfield Gym, you'll face off against the dragon-type specialist Melia. Cantessy is a region with a long and widely documented history, and Melia has dedicated herself to making sure the events of history are continually documented to be properly preserved for generations to come. However, she has very little respect for fanciful folklore outside of entertainment, which has put her a bit at odds with a former friend. The Harrodsfield Gym challenge is kind of similar to the Hammerlocke Gym challenge in Sword and Shield in that it doesn't actually take place in the Gym itself, but instead involves Melia taking the player to different locations around the city that held historical significance. Oddly enough she can't help but stop at an old hollowed-out shack to tell a story she'd heard about a Pokemon called Scuttock and what it did to the shack's original occupant. Unfortunately it's then that the tour is briefly interrupted by Violetta, the old colleague she had a strained relationship with, but at least you get to hear the rest of the story before moving on. Regardless, after this, Melia brings you back to her Gym where you can finally battle her.
You've definitely got a team capable of handling dragon-types, and given Hedeomadon's secondary fairy-type it will have a pretty big advantage. Melia will have an Appletun at level 49, a Flapple at level 50, a Turtonator at level 51, a Drampa at level 52, and a Dragorge at level 53 who she'll join in with for a Union Battle. After you become the Champion, Melia will have a Drakeon, an Appletun, a Flapple, a Turtonator, a Drampa, and a Dragorge.
HEY THOUGH! Don't think you've avoided having to battle Melia if you picked Pokemon Plow! Because in Plow Version, Melia is part of Cantessy's Elite Four! Having begun the process of reconciliation with her old friend Violetta during a story-related event, she'll thank you for helping to convince them to try to make amends with one another before your battle. In your initial battle with her, she'll have a Flapple at level 53, an Appletun at level 54, a Turtonator at level 55, a Drampa at level 57, and a Dragorge at level 59 who she'll join in with for a Union Battle. When you take the Elite Four on again in rematches after post-game, her whole team will be boosted by ten levels and she'll add a level 63 Drakeon.
By the way, I alluded to it when posting Dragorge and talking about that evolution line's varied gender ratio, but Melia is indeed a trans woman! And Violetta is also a demigirl (she/they) but I forgot to mention that prolly because she's mostly going by "she" in the events of Plow and Circuit hehe, woops on my part. Anyway, yes, Melia is trans and her Dragorge is as well, having been caught as a male Redrake when she was freshly out and changing upon evolution. That's actually part of why she became a dragon specialist, that impact that the life cycle of the Dranada line had on her life.

Friend-zoned - Seungmin
❀ Comedy&slightangst
❀ Word Count: 8.7K
❀ Tired of being friend-zoned, Kim Seungmin swears to not let the next girl think of him only as a friend. Unfortunately, his plans start to fall through as a spunky and eccentric girl comes into his life, knocking him on his feet. Will he finally win his crush’s heart or will he be friend-zoned once again?
❀ a/n: YES THIS IS A SPINOFF TO “Fake Boyfriend - Changbin” hehe , this is Seungmin’s life! I brought back the o/c in Fake Boyfriend as well as Changbin too heeheh I hope you guys like this despite this being hecka long :)
P.S. You don’t need to read Fake Boyfriend to understand this fic but it is recommended! :)
❀ ❀ ❀
I stood awkwardly to the side as my best friend, Kyungmi, made out with her boyfriend in the hallway. The two of them had negative zero shame about PDA, which was absolutely disgusting. I was no prude, but I certainly disliked seeing people stick their tongues down each other’s throats. It was horrific.
I coughed loudly to make sure they both knew I was still there. My best friend leaned away with her eyes glazed and starstruck. Her boyfriend, Changbin, aka the biggest asshole with an attitude on campus, smirked at me and shrugged like he did nothing wrong. That prick.
I had supported their relationship, even when they both mutually lied to me, but Changbin was still irritating. I was used to winning every argument, but this boy would start screaming out of nowhere which caused me to go crazy.
We didn’t get along to say the least.
“Sorry, Seungmin. Got a lil’ carried away there.” The girl smiled shyly at the older boy while he gave her a soft kiss back.
“Maybe if Seungmin had a girl, he wouldn’t be so uptight.” Changbin closed his locker and nudged me to the side.
Changbin always, and I mean always, pressured me to get into a relationship. And I would never admit this out loud, but I just wasn’t the type of guy girls wanted to date. I was always friend-zoned left and right which left me no girls to flirt with.
“Yeah, what’s the hold up, Minnie? You are a good-looking dude with charm! Girls should be falling at your feet.” I blushed at the girl’s compliments.
“Maybe it’s you who we should be setting up on tons of dates.”
As soon as Changbin said those words, my best friend punched him on the shoulder in excitement. I shuddered.
“YES! That’s fantastic! Oh please, Seungmin, let us set you up with girls! Please??” The girl whined while tugging on my arm. Changbin smirked at me like he was finally getting his revenge on me. I raised a brow and sighed, knowing I was going to lose this fight. Plus, I was better than my best friend at talking to the opposite sex. If this turned out badly, I would just make more friends. Which would hurt my ego once again, but what can I do about being “best guy friend material”?
“Ok, fine, set it up.” I looked up at the clock in the hallway, eager to get away from the devious couple. “Look, I gotta go, but text me the details I guess.”
“No worries, bro, you’re in good hands.”
When I looked back, Changbin was giving me a devious smile. I knew he still didn’t forgive me yet for forcing Kyungmi for going on dates she didn’t want to go on, but that was just our dynamic. If she wasn’t up for it, she would’ve told me.
I gave the boy a glare back and walked into my first class of the day: English.
❀ ❀ ❀
As soon as I plopped down in my chair, I felt another presence plop next to me.
“Hey, where were you all morning? I was waiting for you.” My other friend, or classmate, or whatever, Yeji, noted. I took off my glasses and wiped them on my shirt for dramatic effect.
“The couple caught up to me again.” Since the two always stuck together, everyone just called them ‘the couple’. Demeaning yet cute at the same time.
“Ah, as always. I still can’t believe your cute little best friend ended up with... Changbin.” I laughed loudly and nodded.
“You and me both. I still can’t wrap my mind around it. But, she always had a knack for liking bad boys.” I shrugged. My best friend was constantly reading books about nerd girls ending up with the baddest boy in school. It was rotting her mind obviously.
“Hm, most girls do.” Yeji noted. I examined her cute and sharp features that were now scrunched together. “I’ll admit, even I fall for them sometimes, but the nice guys always win my heart in the end.” I gave her a small smile back as she looked flushed.
Okay, okay, I like this girl.
She was cute, but intense; shy, yet independent. She was perfect.
“Hey, are you going to prom?” I asked curiously. It was only the biggest event of junior and senior year. I was always at the event, as it comes with the title of being class president every year.
The girl blushed and looked down. I had enough female friends that I knew what that meant. “Um, I-”
“KIM SEUNGMIN!” I heard a female voice yell my name. I recognized the irritating voice immediately. I smiled tightly at Yeji who was now staring at me with confused eyes.
I sighed and turned sadly, which now I was staring at a girl who I had always found annoying.
“What, y/n?”
Y/N.
She was the typical emo kid in high school. She was annoying, but she really only had a few close friends. She only talked to you if it benefited her and her only. She had dark black hair but it was dyed purple at the tips. Her eyeliner was thick, and no, I don’t makeup shame, but it definitely made her look more like the “rockstar” she claimed to be. She wore all black; black skinny jeans that were ripped everywhere and probably breaking dress code, black long sleeves that hugged her every curve, and even paired her outfit with black Doc Martens. She screamed angst.
We never got along and we had gone to school since our freshman year of high school. She was the only girl, or person really, in our grade that I never could befriend.
“Well, today I talked to the principal about my band playing at prom, but they said to ask you, mister president. So, what is it?”
I rolled my eyes at the girl. “Y/N, I told you, no one wants a live band. Everyone just wants stuff that’s on the radio or whatever.”
“Well, shitty music plays on the radio. And shitty singers. That I can sing better than. So, that’s why you should let me play at prom. Plus, wouldn’t letting us play promote like... school spirit?”
“Yes, a group of angsty teenagers would really boost the moral of the school.”
That poked the wrong buttons on the girl. She bent down to my level and glared at me. “Really? Stereotyping me now?” She spat.
I felt myself waver at her intense gaze, but I wouldn’t let myself lean back. “It’s nothing personal.”
She scoffed. “Yeah, because no matter how ‘angsty’ I appear to be, I probably have higher self-esteem than any of these bobble heads.” She raised a brow at the girl sitting next to me, Yeji, which made me feel territorial.
“Hey, you’re talking to me. You don’t need to drag other people into this.” Yeji shrank back in fear at y/n who was now smiling.
“Aw sorry, I don’t mean to upset the girlfriend.”
“Oh, you’ve misunderstood, we’re not together.” Yeji answered quickly which sparked sadness in my heart. I tried to not look hurt, but after hearing those words so many times, I was used to them.
I never understood girls’ needs to shoot down dating someone so quickly. Especially when they’re sitting right next to the accused.
Yeji’s words and my reaction caused y/n’s eyes to flicker with interest.
“Well, I hope you’ll take my proposition seriously. Bye, Seungmin.” She strutted away with a little sway in her hips. I tried not to look at her ass since that was rude.
I quickly snapped out of it and turned to Yeji. “Um, sorry about her. She’s kind of... a lot.” Yeji nodded.
“It’s ok, I’ve heard rumors about her. She’s bad news, everyone knows that.”
For some reason, I accepted her words. Y/N technically was bad news. Everyone knew she skipped school too much to count, but I wouldn’t necessarily call her a bad girl. But to impress Yeji, I just nodded.
“Yeah, um, so prom?”
Yeji’s eyes wavered now, which was a bad sign. Bad bad sign. “Uh, yeah, thinking about it.”
My confidence diminished and I decided to go the friendly route. “Well, hopefully if you go, they’ll be playing shitty pop music than whatever y/n wants to play.”
The girl laughed, which shot my confidence back up.
I not going to be friend-zoned, not this time.
Before I could plot out how to win Yeji’s heart, the teacher walked into the class.
“Good morning class.”
“Good morning, Mrs. Park.” The class hummed back. Mrs. Park set a pile of packets on her table, which caused the class to stare at the large stack.
“Today class, I’ve been wondering what to do since it’s your senior year and all. I was thinking about fun English inspired things.”
“This doesn’t sound good.” Yeji hummed under her breath. I chuckled, making sure she knew I was interested in what she wanted to say.
“And finally, the idea popped into my head! A group project!” The class groaned, even me. Everyone hated group projects. “Oh hush! This will be fun! I’ll be pairing you guys up in pairs of 2 to write your own creative story. It has to be at least 10 pages and fit all the components of what I’m about to hand out. I have some prompts on here as well, but you’re free to write what you want. The prompts are just to get you guys started.”
The class glared daggers at her head as she droned on about how good this project would be and how excited she was to read our stories. All we heard was how we had to arrange irrational times with our classmates who had completely different lives than us. Fantastic.
“Now, I’m sure you guys have been anxiously waiting about who you’re paired with.”
Mrs. Park slid a piece of paper out of her folder and started reading.
“Yeji and Hyunjin.”
Hyunjin, who was sitting in the front row, turned around to smile at Yeji. Who had turned a light shade of pink at the boy. Oh great.
“Jeno and Jaemin. Haechan and Somi.”
Mrs. Park droned on with names until I perked up at mine.
“Seungmin and....”
Please don’t be y/n. Please don’t be y/n.
“And y/n.”
Fuck.
I looked over at the girl who was already looking in my direction with a smirk. She gave me an evil wave and laughed silently.
“The story is due 2 weeks from now. It shouldn’t be too hard with two heads working together and you guys would be surprised on how quickly 10 pages will go. Good luck!”
The last 10 minutes of class were dedicated to meeting up with your partner and scheduling times to write the paper and how to organize it.
“So, are you going to write our paper mister president?” y/n asked mockingly. I hated when she called me that.
“First of all, my name is Seungmin. And second, no way in hell am I going to write this for you.” The girl rolled her eyes as I opened the packet.
“Well good to see you still have strong morals even when working with me. So, I have rehearsals with my band every Friday night, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. but anytime besides that I’m free.”
I groaned internally.
“Well, I have leadership meetings every Monday and Thursday after school. So I guess that leaves most of the weekdays.” She nodded.
“How about on Wednesday after school?” She suggested. I nodded, surprised she was the one who initiated a time. She gave me a cool smile. “Fantastic. See you then, lover boy.” She whispered the last two words in my ear, which I couldn’t lie, made me tingle at the close proximity.
She walked away with a smirk and this time, I refused to check her out.
I had morals.
❀ ❀ ❀
“Wednesday. 6pm. The Red Lobster across from that Subway.” My best friend, Kyungmi stated. Changbin was attached to her by the hip.
I sighed and shook my head. I had already forgotten about their plans to set me up with random girls. “Already got plans that day.”
Kyungmi gave me a suspicious stare. “What plans?”
“Plans to whack off?” I glared at Changbin who was giggling at his joke which wasn’t even funny. Kyungmi smiled, but hit the boy. I never knew she was such a perv.
“No. I have this project I have to do with y/n and Wednesday is one of the only days we have free this week. And the project is already due in 2 weeks so...”
“Y/N? She’s the annoying bitch, right?” Kyungmi pinched his arm.
“Hey, don’t call her that... She’s just annoying and emo.” The two laughed.
“Yes, that y/n. But I mean, I have no choice. We have to work together.” I argued. I unwrapped my ham and cheese sandwich and bit into it.
Kyungmi shook her head. “No, I mean, you could just write it and slap her name on it too.” I rolled my eyes.
“Yeah, nerd.” Changbin poked my side which made me want to slap him in the face.
“I already told her I wouldn’t do that. So, sorry, but you’ll have to reschedule or just cancel.” Kyungmi and Changbin sighed unanimously.
Changbin then pulled out his phone and started to type something in. “Maybe you would change your mind when you see the girl.”
I furrowed my brows in interest. As the egotistical boy stuck his phone in my face, my eyes widened.
“Is that Yeji?”
Kyungmi smirked, knowing she had gotten me. “Yup, Changbin’s friend is friends with her and heard she wanted to start dating so she would have a date to prom. And luckily, Changbin had overheard their conversation.”
My head spun with excitement. “And I know you’re sorta into her. I’ve seen you look at her in the halls.” Kyungmi squealed giddly.
“So you in?”
I took a sip of my juice and my eyes fell on Y/N who had walked into the cafeteria. She raised a brow at me when she saw my stare. What, she mouthed. I rolled my eyes.
“I’m in.”
❀ ❀ ❀
It was 5:30pm and my date with Yeji was in 30 minutes
It took lots of convincing with y/n to cancel. After I lied to her that my mom was sick and I had to take care of her, she finally let it go. I felt bad for lying, but her being busy on every day of the weekend caused this.
Thankfully, the girl said she could push back her Saturday practice to night time and we could use the morning-afternoon to write the story.
I threw on my best looking shirt and dark jeans. For some reason, girls liked dark jeans on boys. I looked at my hair and saw the mess. I groaned and started to style it. I felt dumb with the small straightener in my hands, but I had to do what had to be done to look good.
Once I was satisfied, I threw on my fanciest shoes and ran out the door. Yeji was coming from cheer practice and she said she would just meet me at the restaurant. I sped all the way there, hoping to be early.
I looked down at my watch. 5:53pm. I looked around and there was no sign of her.
This was a blind date, so she didn’t know who I was. Changbin just told her I would be waiting under the large Red Lobster sign.
“Seungmin? Is that you?” I spun around after hearing the feminine voice. I gave the girl a shocked look.
“Yeji, oh wow, what a surprise.” I lied lamely. The girl smiled and hugged me. I wasn’t sure if this was a friend hug or a happy hug or what. But I mean, I liked it.
“I’m so glad it’s you! I was so nervous I was going to get a weirdo or something, but I’m glad Changbin set me up with someone as nice as you.” Nice. What a word. A word for friend-zoning.
I smiled forcefully at her. “Let’s get inside so we don’t freeze our asses off.” She laughed loudly at me joke, probably more exaggerate since it wasn’t that funny. That boosted my ego slightly.
“Table for 2.” I said to one of the staff. The girl nodded and led us to a table. I was glad it wasn’t extremely crowded on a Wednesday night.
“Thank you,” Yeji said to the staff. I nodded in thanks as the waitress walked away.
“So, getting into the dating scene are we, Kim Seungmin?” Yeji teased. I blushed, but grinned at her curious glance.
“Yeah, after Kyungmi and Changbin spent so much time together, I realized I was either sick of seeing them together or wanted to have a relationship like theirs.” Yeji cooed at my words.
“Aw, that’s so cute! They’re really a cute couple, aren’t they?” I nodded.
“Hi guys, are you guys ready to order?” We both nodded.
Once I looked up from my menu, I saw someone I hadn’t planned on seeing here tonight.
I could spot that dark, yet wild hair from anywhere. Her black and purple hair was tied into a ponytail and she looked calm as she sat across from a boy much older than her, Chan, who I remembered was her brother.
She looked like she was finishing up her meal as she stood up from her booth. As soon as she stood up, her eyes met mine.
Fuck. I was in deep shit now.
Expecting her to call me out on my bullshit, I held my breath.
Contrary to what I believed, the girl only looked at me with fed up eyes and walked away with her brother. I couldn’t help but feel like shit.
“Seungmin?” Yeji’s voice snapped me out of my trance.
I glanced up at the waitress who was waiting for me to order. Great, now I look like a weirdo.
“Sorry, um, I’ll get the steak and lobster.”
I forced myself to carry a conversation with Yeji, but all I could think about was why y/n didn’t stomp her way to my table while I obviously was on a date.
Maybe she’s different than what everyone thinks about her.
I shook my head, no, that girl is bad news.
❀ ❀ ❀
I had done a great job at avoiding y/n all week. It was helpful she wasn’t here Friday either.
But it was Saturday now and I worse knowing that she pushed back her scheduled practice with her band when we had scheduled a time I should’ve been free for.
I was dressed more casually today with blue jeans and a red hoodie. I wasn’t impressing anyone today.
I drove to y/n’s house, scared of how she would react when I saw her again. Her house wasn’t far from mine. I held my breath as I walked to the front step.
Her house looked more normal than I thought it would. For some reason, I thought it would be dark and gloomy like how she dressed, but it was a light brown with flowers all around it.
“Are you going to just stand there or are you going to ring the doorbell?”
The voice startled me as I jumped back.
Y/N was staring at me with judgmental eyes. I noticed the leash in her hand and then felt a small dog jump on my leg. I smiled, forgetting the scary girl right next to me, and pet the happy thing.
“Aw, aren’t you the cutest?” I cooed. Y/N scoffed and unlocked her front door.
“You’re early. Probably to make up for cancelling on Wednesday for some girl?” She taunted. I turned a dark red at her accusation, even though it was true.
“Ok, I’m sorry-”
“For what Seungmin? Getting caught or for lying? Or for causing me to push back my already scheduled plans for your impromptu dates? Hm?”
I felt a rush of anger run through me even though I had no right to be mad.
“Why are you acting as if we’re dating? We’re not even friends. I have no loyalties to you.”
I wanted to take back the words as soon as I said them. Y/N’s jaw dropped.
“Wow, you’re an even bigger asshole than I thought. We made plans and if you were a decent human being, you would keep them. We could be arch enemies but you still had a commitment, especially since we don’t have many free days.” She spat. I had nothing to say and took her words in.
“I’m sorry, fuck, I didn’t mean to say that. And I’m sorry for cancelling plans, but I just really like Yeji so I just had to take the chance. I’m sorry.”
Y/N stood in silence for a few moments before taking a step back.
“Maybe if you let me play at prom I would be more forgiving.”
I rolled my eyes. “I-”
“I’m teasing. I don’t want to hold this over your head since Yeji is hot. A shitty person, but hot.”
Y/N opened the door for me to let me in, but her words didn’t go over my head. I quietly shut the door and examined her house that I knew she was secretive about. It looked... peaceful. Normal.
“What? Yeji is not a shitty person.” Y/n smiled at me.
“Oh really? Are the things she says about me nice?” I had nothing to say to that.
“She’s only saying what’s true.” Y/N stopped walking and glared at me.
“What? That I skip class? Big whoop, everyone does that. She makes huge accusations about me when I only characterize her because of the things she says about me and the way she looks at me and the way she talks to me.”
Before I could get a word out, the girl shoved me into her room.
“Now, that’s a good story idea. We could write about a bitchy cheerleader and how she sabotages people’s lives so that she looks good.” The girl suggested. I rolled my eyes.
“Or, we could write about not that.” I tugged the packet out of her hands and stared at the prompts. “Write about a boy who finds a time machine and travels through all of his best/worst memories.”
“Lame. I hate time travel stories. They confuse and bore me simultaneously.” I sighed and looked at more prompts.
The girl sat in her spinny chair and spun around like a child. I couldn’t help but scan her. She was wearing shorts, probably because she only left the house to walk her dog. Even when being at home, her clothes were still all black. She was wearing a black over the shoulder t-shirt with black shorts.
It felt weird to notice this, but her nails were painted black as well. Both her fingernails and toenails were the same color which Kyungmi told me girls liked to do.
“Wow, checking me out even when you have another girl in your heart? Hm, I didn’t know you were such a bad boy, Seungmin.”
I felt my heart skip, noticing how she said my name when she usually called me “mister president”.
I blushed at her words and looked away quickly. “S-sorry, um, I was just curious as to why you wear black clothes all the time.” The girl laughed softly and twisted her hair over her shoulder.
I tried not to read into her movements but girls playing with their hair always meant something. At least according to web articles.
“Well, I wear black clothes because I like the color. You wear blue a lot, probably because blue is your favorite color right?” I nodded slowly, but surprised she noticed the clothes I wore.
I felt proud of myself for some reason, my felt my heart warm as she paid attention to the small details of me.
“Uh, I guess. Anyways, any more story ideas? Maybe a character you would wanna write about?” The girl crinkled her nose and swiped her side bangs out of her face. She scooted closer to me and suddenly, my male hormones were heightened.
She smelled fruity, but her scent wasn’t that heavy that I was choking. Her hair matched the fruit theme of her perfume and I couldn’t help but get lost in it. I hated myself at this moment.
I hadn’t been so close to a girl who wasn’t a friend in so long.
"You’re wearing perfume.” I noted lamely as she was taking a while to think. She looked up me in surprise and smiled. It was different than her usual smiles, but they always made my heart flutter.
Stop, you like Yeji, stop letting your hormones take over you like some basic asshole.
“Hm, yeah I am. I wear it whenever I go out or whenever I have guests over. I’m surprised you noticed.” She wiggled her brows and opened a word document on her laptop. “Is there any genre you prefer writing?”
I snapped out of the girl’s charm and looked at the laptop. “Yeah, yeah, I like to write fantasy I guess.” Y/N smiled.
“Good. We’re on the same page then. Do you like supernatural themes like ghosts, fae, vampires, werewolves...?” She babbled on. I wasn’t that surprised y/n was that into this stuff since she was quite weird. I guess that made me weird too when I was excited.
“All of the above.”
“And before we get ahead of our selves, let’s remind us that the expected page count is 10 and we only have 2 weeks to write this.” The girl noted smartly. I nodded and adjusted my glasses as she leaned over me to grab her pencil. “Sorry, I like to plan on paper.”
I watched as she grabbed a piece of paper and started drawing circles. I let out a chuckle before I could stop myself. She glanced up at me with rough eyes.
“What?”
I shrugged. “Nothing. Just you planning things out is cute.” She froze at my words, and even I was surprised at my confidence.
“Shut up,” she said, but I knew there was a faint blush on her cheeks.
Huh, maybe this flirting thing isn’t so hard after all.
❀ ❀ ❀
After discussing for a long 30 minutes, we had finally decided on a basic plot and characters.
“After being assigned a dangerous mission, Yoon Sehun’s life starts to crumble. He is tasked with the mission to infiltrate a high school and seduce and kill an innocent girl who is holding secrets of her own. Is that a good summary for Mrs. Park?” I nodded at the girl who looked much happier at writing than I did.
She smiled happily and kept going. “And basically, he starts to fall in love with her seriously... do we want a happy ending or sad?”
I fiddled with my glasses, a habit I had when I was thinking. “Um, which do you prefer?” The girl groaned.
“Making me do all the hard work. Ugh, well, I like to read happy endings more, but with the short time limit we have and page limit of 15, I’d say we just leave it off on a cliffhanger.”
I agreed. “You right. Now, let’s get it started.”
❀ ❀ ❀
We had been typing for hours, constantly asking one another if writing something was ok. We switched off every 30 minutes to write which made the flow hard, but we agreed we would edit it in the end. I was surprised to see how good of a writer she was.
And I was more surprised on how well we were getting along.
“Wow, this is looking really good. You’re a really good writer.” I complimented. Y/N was laying on her bed, scrolling through her phone as I scanned over her work.
I heard her snort. “Well, I do write songs on the daily. I am in a band you know.”
“Ah, right.”
“Talking about my band, any new thoughts about us performing at prom?” I sighed, but said nothing for a few moments, trying to decide on what to do.
I settled with a question. “Why do you want to perform at prom so badly? No offense, but you don’t seem that connected to this school.”
I heard the bed rustle and I knew she was walking over to me. Her hair was messy and I tried not to imagine if I was laying next to her on that bed.
Her face was serious as she sat next to me.
“First things first, we go to a rich school that has major connections. If my band performs there and some rich kids likes it and has connections to the music scene, it could be big for my band. Second, I really love performing, as do my band mates. And third, rich kids with connections.”
I chuckled at her honesty.
“Ok, how about I let you perform a few songs-”
I saw her eyes light up.
“Wait, seriously, you would let me perform?!” Her voice was laced with excitement and shock that I couldn’t help but smile.
“Um, yeah, you put up a good argument and-” She didn’t wait for me to finish before pulling me in for a hug. It felt weird since I was sitting down and she was standing up. She felt the same and pulled me up to stand. I laughed as she pulled me in for a proper hug when we were standing.
“Thank you thank you thank you!” She cheered. “You’re the best, Seungmin.” She then released me and sat down.
“Speaking of prom, are you thinking of asking anyone?” She looked at me with curiosity in her eyes.
I took a while to answer, but before I could, I heard her phone alarm go off.
“Shit, that means my band mates are coming over real soon. Um, we can finish on Wednesday, of course, if you aren’t busy?” I rolled my eyes even though I still felt guilty. It wasn’t like me to cancel on people for a date.
“Sure. After school Wednesday and if I cancel, you can whip my ass.”
“And what a fine ass it is.” She teased with a hint of flirtiness in her tone.
I choked from shock. “Wha-”
“Bye, Seungmin. See you Wednesday.”
She closed the door on me as I was left in the cold to think about what just happened and why the girl I had thought was annoying was super attractive all of a sudden.
❀ ❀ ❀
“Hey, Seungmin.” I gave a small nod to Yeji who I surprisingly didn’t think about to much over the weekend.
“Hey, how was your weekend?” I asked respectfully. Kyungmi told me that girls always liked to be asked on how their day was. It showed like the boy cared.
She smiled and curled a strand of hair behind her ear. “It was good! I got lots of cleaning done, ugh, my room was an absolute mess. How about you? How was working with y/n?”
I didn’t miss her nose crinkle as she said y/n’s name. I felt a burn of anger run through me as she did that.
“Hey, y/n isn’t that bad as I thought. She was actually really helpful.” I defended. I didn’t know why I was defending a girl to the girl I was interested in, but the words left my mouth as soon as I said them.
Yeji looked guilty. “I-I didn’t mean anything bad, I thought we were on the same page about her.” Now I felt guilty. I had a soft spot for blubbering girls.
“Hey, I get it, but surprisingly I didn’t go mad with her around.” Yeji nodded and looked to Hyunjin.
She leaned close to me. I felt my nerves come alive as I felt her hair tickle my neck. “Just between us, Hyunjin is good-looking and all, but he sucks at writing. He couldn’t decide on characters and a plot. We had a rough time. I’d rather have you as a partner.”
As she pulled away, I noticed how she was biting her lip slightly which tugged at my heart. Her smell was much stronger than y/n’s though, which forced me to hold down a cough. I wasn’t fond of floral smells which Yeji reeked of.
The door opened once again which caught my attention.
The familiar girl walked in with a sway in her steps. I felt my breathing stop as she locked eyes with me. She gave me one of her infamous smiles and sat down.
“You two seem friendly.” Yeji whispered.
“Oh no, no, it’s not like that.” I defended. Now I knew how girls felt when they were accused of dating someone.
“Not like what?” Yeji teased. I realized then that she said nothing about a romantic relationship. I’d just assumed it. I blushed as she squeezed my hand.
“You’re cute.”
❀ ❀ ❀
It was a normal Monday night that I was spending with Kyungmi and Changbin. I swear the two lived together at this point.
“So, spill about your date with Yeji! You’ve been holding out on us for way too long!” Kyungmi cried out. Changbin and I were immersed into the video game were playing, but Kyungmi paused it.
“Hey, we were-” Changbin was cut off by Kyungmi’s glare. “Yeah, Seungmin, how was your date?”
The boy was whipped.
I sunk back to the couch and tried to remember the events. My mind wasn’t in the moment on the date. I kept feeling guilty about ditching y/n.
“Um, it was good.” I settled on saying.
The two narrowed their eyes at me.
“Good? That’s it?” Kyungmi interrogated.
I shrugged her off as she got too close to me. “Yes, good, she’s pretty and nice and sometimes funny.”
“Dude.” Changbin added.
“What?”
“Good isn’t the way you’re supposed to describe a date. Did you even feel a connection with her?” Kyungmi asked.
I shrugged. “I mean, yeah, I guess? It wasn’t awkward. And she seemed to be flirting with me today so I would take this as a good sign.”
Kyungmi then hit me with a pillow. “Ow, what the fu-”
“Do you like, not like her anymore? What’s the deal with you?” Kyungmi babbled. I was confused. I had said I had a good time with her, I didn’t understand the problem.
“Ok, honestly, I was sort of out of it on the date. I saw y/n there and she saw me and I felt bad about cancelling and lying to her about why I cancelled.” I confessed.
I thought the two would show signs of disgust of the girl, but the two simply just looked at each other. I hated when they did that.
“What?” I barked. Changbin held up his hands in surrender.
“Well, I’m going to just say it, I didn’t think y/n was your type.” Kyungmi hit his shoulder to shut him up, but the damage was already done.
“What do you mean by that?” I tried to think back on past girlfriends I had which never lasted long because they realized I was “better as a friend”, but they weren’t that different.
“Changbin, stop it.”
The boy shrugged and kept spilling. “What? It’s true. The girls you’ve dated before are like... nice. And social. Y/N is... not those things.”
I felt something burn in my chest. I wasn’t sure what it was but I recognized part of it was anger.
“Don’t be an asshole, Changbin. I’m not even into y/n anyways.”
Kyungmi sighed and sat next to me. She patted my head like she always did and spoke softly. “Just, be careful not to get hurt. And try not to hurt anyone in the process.”
“What do you mean? Y/N doesn’t even like me. She thinks of me as a friend.”
I felt my phone vibrate and I peered down at it.
‘Hey Seungmin, I am highkey bored in my room on a Monday night with millions of story ideas running through my mind. is it ok if i add to our story and edit it?? u can change it wednesday if u dont like it but i felt the need to ask u first’
“If that’s from y/n, I’m going to scream.”
I glared at Changbin. “Well it is and don’t fucking scream or else I’m leaving.” Changbin and Kyungmi both attacked me for my phone.
Changbin started laughing and tossed me my phone back.
“Dude, she totally likes you. She’s trying to start a conversation with you.”
“She literally just asked me about our essay, how the hell is that a sign at all?” I spat.
I texted the girl back.
‘yeah sure youre a great writer anyways’
Soon, she was typing back.
‘yay thanks~ for both complimenting me and letting me write lol’
“What did she say?”
“None of your fucking business.”
Y/N couldn’t like me... there was no way. She knows I’m into Yeji.. right?
❀ ❀ ❀
Wednesday came soon enough and I was instead in a library with y/n. She had snagged our own private room for a couple hours and we were currently adding and editing to our story.
She came in wearing a red shirt and I was shocked at the change. I hated that I noticed it. And that I liked it.
“You’re wearing color.” I said before I could stop myself.
Y/N looked down at her outfit and shrugged. “What? I can’t wear color now?” She crossed her arms in that defensive way girls did.
“I just mean you look good.” She raised her brows.
“Well, you should’ve started with that.”
The girl sat down and I tried not to check out how good her legs looked in her black skinny jeans.
“Anyways, thank you for letting my band perform at prom. It means a lot to us.” She thanked while getting out her things. I noticed how her black nail polish had changed to dark purple. I wondered if she redid her toes as well.
I gulped and stopped thinking about her so much. “Uh, no problem. I hope you won’t let me regret it.” She laughed.
“No sir. Anyways, are you going with anyone to prom? Mister president has to have girls lined up at his door, right?” She teased but I could tell there was a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
I laughed and felt nervous at her question. “Uh, if I’m being honest with you, there aren’t many girls lining up at my door.”
She looked surprised at my comment. “Really? I find that surprising.”
I shrugged. “I get friend-zoned by most girls. When I say most, I mean all.” I said spitefully. I heard y/n sigh and blow out a large amount of air.
“What?”
The girl shrugged. “Nothing, it’s just so, so, annoying when boys say that.” I furrowed my eyebrows at her statement.
“It’s annoying when girls do that.”
She gasped at my statement. She stared at me with her jaw dropped and judgmental eyes. “Oh wow, I didn’t know girls had to fall for you if a boy becomes their friend or if a boy shows interest in them. Excuse me for that.”
I rolled my eyes at her, but the more I talked about it, the dumber I sounded. “Ok, I didn’t mean it like that. It’s just... frustrating when all the girls I like end up only thinking of me as a friend. And I know that they don’t have to like me, but after so many, it just bums me out I guess.”
“That’s understandable, but also, how are you so sure that those girls only thought of you as a friend? Did you ask them?”
I furrowed my brows. “Uh no, I can just tell.” Y/N gave me a tight smile like she was holding back.
“Wow. Amazing that you have that talent.” I scowled at her.
“Ok, well, sometimes I get signs a girl doesn’t like me and then I don’t want to make her uncomfortable. Plus, girls always fawn over the bad boys which I’m not. I’m just a nerdy nice dude with some attitude.”
The girl sitting next to me said nothing, which made me nervous.
“Not all girls like bad boys.” She noted. I licked my lips while she scooted closer to me. “Bad girls don’t like bad boys. That’s too much bad for one relationship.”
“Then what do bad girls like?” The question slipped from my lips before I couldn’t stop myself, but I didn’t regret my question.
The girl lifted an eyebrow and lightly flicked her tongue over her teeth.
“Hm, bad girls like good boys.”
Suddenly, the atmosphere in this tiny, private room changed.
I tried not to focus on the way her hand rested on my thigh. I tried not to focus on her lips that had a sheer coating of lip gloss across them. I tried so hard but I failed as she pulled me closer to her.
“Want a sign? I’ll give you one.”
Before I could process what was happening, she kissed me.
Her lips hovered above mine for a split movement before she kissed my bottom lip slowly. I felt my heart pounding out of my chest. I felt more alive than I’ve ever felt before.
I didn’t know when she got on my lap, but I felt a jolt when she get comfy.
She ran her fingers through my hair as I tried not to let out any noise. I gained courage and deepened the kiss which made her sign in content.
Oh fuck.
I gripped her waist to keep her from falling. She took off my glasses and rested them on the table.
“So, right now, you have the option whether to keep kissing me or to finish this essay. Which do you prefer?” My head was spinning. All I could feel were her legs on mine and her hands in my hair. All I could think about was how much I wanted to kiss her, not some stupid essay for English.
“Kissing you.”
She chuckled.
“Good choice.” She whispered before taking me lips again.
❀ ❀ ❀
I slammed my door shut, wondering what the fuck just happened.
Did I just make out with y/n for... god knows how long. Did I just do that? What even happened? We were just talking about how bitchy I was and then she did that. How did that even escalate? What am I doing? Was this just a one time thing or does she like me? Do I like her?
I took a deep breath and laid on my bed.
What about Yeji? Am I still into her? Was I ever really that into her? I didn’t even know her.
I slapped myself. “You shit, stop thinking about this.”
I tried not to fantasize about how much further we could’ve gone if our time wasn’t up in that tiny room but that’s all I could think about.
“Fuck, Changbin was right. She’s into me.”
❀ ❀ ❀
The essay was due on Monday and luckily, y/n had written enough that we didn’t need to meet up again. I decided to write the ending then edit, and then she edited it.
I hadn’t talking to y/n much since Wednesday and my lips burned every time we made eye contact.
Y/N was right. I had never gone after girls who were adamant about what they wanted and it excited and scared me at the same time.
“Hey, stranger.”
I jumped up, forgetting I was in a public place.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Yeji said with a small smile. I shook my head and gave her a forced grin.
“No, no, it’s okay. Um, how did your story turn out?” I asked.
Yeji’s eyes zoned out for a few moments before focusing on mine. “Um, the story was okay, but things with Hyunjin? Way better.”
I raised my brows in surprise. Not just from surprise at her infatuation with the boy, but surprise I didn’t care that much.
“Oh? Do tell.” I teased. Yeji fidddled with her thumbs nervously.
“Ok, ok, so, we were just working on the essay and then he just asks me to prom. It was kinda cute ‘cause he stuttered over his words, but still cute nonetheless. So, yeah!” She grinned widely with hearts in her eyes.
I smiled back at her. “That’s awesome, Yeji. You two are cute together.”
She nodded, barely hearing what I was saying when Hyunjin walked in the room. Hyunjin gave her a nod in acknowledgment, but he didn’t say anything.
He was just those types of guys.
❀ ❀ ❀
Prom night.
The biggest event of the year.
The time of year when mainly juniors and seniors lost themselves in one big crowd and the night when everyone lost their virginity. It was a mess honestly, but it was a mess that we all experienced together. With it being my senior year, prom held a deeper meaning for me this time.
Since I was a senior this year, I wasn’t required to come early, but I did so anyways.
“Hey mister president, here so early? Don’t you have some pictures to take at a lake or something?”
I turned and saw Y/N. She was wearing a dark black dress that hugged her in all the right places. Her hair was curled and more voluminous than usual. I couldn’t help but notice she put on a stronger amount of perfume.
I grinned at her teasing words, but shook my head.
“Nope, I came to set up. As the president should do.”
She frowned faintly. “Aw, you should be having fun. I’m only here early to help my band set up.”
I had almost forgot her band was performing two songs tonight. I had never heard them play and prayed they were good.
“Hey, um, you’ll watch my performance right?”
I snapped out of my trance and looked at her. Her eyes were wide and hopeful as she gave me her best puppy-eyed look.
I smiled at her as she jut out her bottom lip. “Of course, I wouldn’t miss it since you worked so hard to play.”
She laughed wildly and held my arm in that flirty way. I started to wonder what she wanted us to be. Were we just friends who made out with each other sometimes or enemies who made out with each other or did she actually want an actual relationship?
Girls are so confusing.
Suddenly, we both heard someone call her name.
“Um, I gotta go set up now. See you soon?” She said hopefully. I nodded and gently sent her off.
❀ ❀ ❀
It was 9pm which was the official time prom started. The music was blaring as the band hadn’t gotten on stage yet and someone brought streamers of their own, which coated the dance floor.
Kyungmi and Changbin were somewhere dirty dancing and on the verge of being kicked out while I hung in the bigger crowd.
Kids were kicking their shoes off and soon there was a dance contest in the middle of the dance floor. Cheers and hollers erupted through the air as rowdy people flew through the air.
Suddenly, the music was turned down and I saw people come on stage.
I smiled at the beautiful girl standing on stage. She was the only girl in the band which made her shine brighter.
I heard her introduce her band name and the song she was going to be singing, but when I turned my head for a split moment, I saw some girl crying out of the room.
I squinted and saw that the girl was Yeji. Suddenly, we locked eyes. Her eyes were full of desperation and sadness as she turned away.
I looked to my left and saw Hyunjin, dancing with a girl who didn’t look like Yeji. I felt my heart tighten.
Oh no.
“Um, this song is dedicated to a really great friend I made near the end of my senior year. Here’s to change!”
The crowd erupted into cheers but I doubt anyone just heard what Y/N just said since they were all drunk.
I looked back and saw that Yeji was still staring at me with longing in her eyes. Like she was waiting for me to chase after her.
I mean, that was the type of guy I was. The type of guy who left whatever he was doing to help a sad girl. A girl who needed my help.
I looked back at the stage and saw Y/N starting to sing, but when I saw Yeji walk out of the room, I felt something in me snap.
I pushed my way out of the dance floor and went to follow Yeji.
This better be worth it.
The girl was sitting outside on the bench. I sighed and opened the door to the outside. She jolted up, but gave me a weak smile.
“You came.” She said softly.
I felt my knees weak at her words. “Yeah, uh, you looked like you needed a friend.” I heard her sniffle which made me notice the cold air.
I pulled off my jacket and pulled it over her shoulders. “Thank you. For the jacket and for coming out here.” I gave her a small smile, trying not to think about Y/N who most likely saw me run out here. I didn’t know what I was thinking. It was in my nature to chase after crying girls. Y/N would understand.
“Hyunjin he, he-” She was cut off by her small sobs. “He left me for some other girl. He was openly grinding on her and I couldn’t do anything. I hate him.” She spat. I held her close to me and let her lay her head on my shoulder.
“It’s okay, let it out.”
We sat there for a while, with her just calming her breathing and I was just trying to be a good friend.
Inside, the music was dying down and I knew the band had stopped playing. I felt like shit knowing I had just missed a song dedicated to me and that I didn’t keep my promise. But I had known Yeji longer, I was her friend. I had a commitment to her.
❀ ❀ ❀
My night seemed like it went by too quickly.
Yeji’s parents came and picked her up. She tried not to look too embarrassed as her parents greeted me fondly and reprimanded her for going out with Hyunjin and not me.
Soon, I saw more and more students flow out of the school. The students always had to evacuate quickly since the staff didn’t want to waste their whole night cleaning up our mess.
I searched the crowd for a sign of Y/N, but I didn’t see her ‘til the very end.
Her hair was messy from performing and the sweat glowed in the moonlight. She looked stunning even when she was dead tired.
She turned my way, and once I smiled, she looked away.
Wait, what was that?
I ran after her. “Y/N, wait-”
She whipped her hair around, with tears filling her eyes.
“Are you serious? You have the fucking nerve to come after me right now? You must be stupid.” I ignored her harsh words and took a deep breath.
“Y/N, please, I’m sorry, I really am. But Yeji was crying and Hyunjin left her, I couldn’t just leave her alone. I’m her friend, you know-”
“Oh my god, please just stop talking.” She blurt. I was stunned at the amount of anger she had. We weren’t even a couple.
“You know, you complain so fucking much about the bad boys getting all the credit and all the attention and how all girls like bad boys, but you know what? You do get the girls obviously and you’re not even a ‘bad boy’, you’re just mean. You play with girls like it’s nothing and I’m not going to stand here for it. You’ve been into me and Yeji at the same time and I’m not going to stay here and let you choose me or her like we are options in a buffet line.”
I saw a tears fall down her cheek as she adjusted her shoes.
“You know, unlike Yeji, I didn’t wait for a bad boy to break up with me before I went for the nice guy. I always wanted the nice guy.”
I didn’t realize I was crying until she walked away, leaving me with all my emotions.
She shrugged in that fake nonchalant way and gave me a tight smile with tears dancing in her eyes.
“Goodbye, Seungmin. I hope you treat the next girl right.”

Chapter Two
This is posted for Hannah’s @kentuckybarnes 3k Writing Challenge
Shout out to the lovelies @bucky-at-bedtime for beta’ing this and @mychemicalimagines for giving me feedback too hehe.
Pairing: Bucky x Reader
Warning: I guess nothing?
Summary: You never fond of Natasha taste in music but you always giving it a try, but maybe you had enough.
Chapter one
The chilly October day in New York City didn’t bother you as you strolled along the brownstone line street in Manhattan, in fact, you were quite fond of it. Class has been a mess but you were excited to visit the pediatric hospital today. Stark Industries will host their annual charity in the hospital, something that you have adored for years.
The vibration of your phone caught your attention. You sweep the screen to the right when you saw the caller id. “Pumpkin, where are you?” You can hear your dad’s voice in a busy room full of background noise.
“I’m somewhere in Manhattan I guess. What’s wrong?”
“Weren't you supposed to arrive like 30 minutes ago? Your mom’s a bit worried right now. You know how she is after your accident”
“Oh, mom is in town? When did she arrive?” you walk a bit faster now.
“Like 2 hours ago. She said she missed her baby. Can you be here in 20? The guests are already in the hospital.”
“Okay! I’ll hail a cab now.”
The ride to the hospital is pretty fast since the traffic wasn’t so bad. You are greeted by some Halloween decorations when you enter the hospital. However, you can’t help but grin at the scary cute tidbits that adorn the hallway. Helping to decorate the hospital was a fun thing to do. You occupied yourself by selecting lots of balloons and knick-knacks to liven up the hall weeks ago. Your dad, Tony Stark has been working on advancing medical technology in the past couple years and this kind of event is always in his must to do list.
“Pumpkin!” A petite woman with a strawberry blonde hair were rushing to you. “Hi, mother.” She embraces you tightly which you returned eagerly. “My baby! Oh, I missed you so much.” She retreads and pinches your cheeks, a habit she always had since you are a baby. Her pastel blue blazer was a contrast from your mustard sweater and indigo jeans. “Mother stop it!” you laugh at her. Your mom takes pity on you and stops her attack.
“So how’s your wrist? Your dad said it’s getting better. I hope your school didn’t interfere with its full recovery.”
“It’s actually pretty great Mother, but the final recital kind of put me on pins and needle.”
“Just don’t push yourself too hard ok pumpkin?”
“Promise!” Your mother finally let go and drag you to meet the small crowd at the front.
Since lots of nurses and volunteers were also wearing a costume, you can’t help but to live up to your nickname and join the rest of the people in the hospital. The bright orange bodysuit has that cute black jack-o-lantern face, far away from creepy. The costume also came together with a little cute stem cap that thankfully fit you. To make the appearance more appealing, you let the cap sit a bit to the right side of your head, strands of hair on the side of your face were let loose so the half up double braid still intact.
The small basket in your left hand was full of greeting cards from the Stark Tech staff, that you plan on hand deliver soon. Other baskets on the table near the fake ghost sweets, was created by people from across the country. Last month you get a bit carried away with Stark Tech Instagram post and upload a ‘special greeting cards’ for the kids in the pediatric hospital in New York City. Your aim was an extra smile to the kids with the cards and Halloween theme goody bag. Fortunately, it becomes a huge success to boost the fundraiser and you never been happier.
“Gentleman, thank you for coming today despite the busy schedule.”
“It’s nothing, Mr. Stark. I am happy we can participate in this charity”
You were immediately drawn to that distinctive low baritone voice. A glimpse of a brown hair took neatly in a low bun. The brushed plaid long flannel with port wine color with the sleeves roll up, display that notable bassist hands of Bucky. You arched your eyebrow curiously, how in the world does your father know Bucky Barnes and his band? Did Natasha tell your father about them? With a long sigh, you unlocked your phone and texted her.
“Yes sir, it’s a pleasure to be here. We love to do this kind of show as much as we can.” The blonde tall man known as Steve was talking to your father. “As long as we are in town, our manager definitely will arrange the schedule.”
“Thank you, Captain. I, for sure, will invite your band again.”
”The Instagram post on Stark Tech account was great. I immediately asked the gang to participate not only with greeting cards.” Bucky chuckles “we want to do more.”
“Oh yeah about that post, it’s my daughter actually.” Tony beams at that. “She’s been helping the PR since last year. She is here somewhere.” you immediately ducked behind a nurse when your father, start looking your way.
“Hmm strange, I just saw here near the table.” Tony’s left eyebrow furrowed, thumb and index finger on his chin, try once again looking for you. ”Anyway, the small stages are yours.” Tony clapped his hands on Bucky’s shoulder and retreat to talk with other parents and a kid who was wearing a ninja turtle costume.
The stage was actually a small area in the front of the hall. There sat a guitar and bass acoustic with three microphones and three performance stools. A small amplifier sat next to the left stool and a black cajon box drum situated to the far right
Because not all the kids and parents can join the rest of the kids in the hall, The Howler promised to visit the kids in their rooms and serenade them.
The kids, their parents, volunteers, and nurses apparently ready to watch The Howler. The band just released a new song for a Superhero movie called ‘Live to Rise’. The song became an immediate number one hit on Billboard 200 and i-tunes, a rare circumstance for a rock alternative band in this EDM era.
Bucky, Steve, Sam, and Clint were already sat on their position. The acoustic version of their songs has that unbelievable tone that sat well with the non-boisterous audience they usually have. Despite your hate towards Bucky, you can’t help but appreciate their performance.
A brush to your right shoulder didn’t go unnoticed but the fact that you know who is it made you loosen up.
“Hi… didn't expect to see you here.”
“Hi Scott.” You smile at him. “neither did I.”
“Nice costume, by the way, Cassie needs to buy this one.” His eyes can’t help but admire your costume.
“Dad, who is the pretty pumpkin?” a chirp of girly voice beside Scott made you sneak a peek.
“Oh, this is my daughter Cassie.”
“Hi, Cassie.” Scott introduced you to his daughter and explaining why he doesn’t go on stage with the others. You immediately offer a costume for Cassie and some strolling visiting the kids if she is interested.
“Our soldier was heartbroken when you slammed the door in front of his face.”
You suddenly tensed “Soldier? I am not sure I have any idea what this is all about?” suddenly the hem of your pumpkin costume is more interesting than the other things happen in the hall.
A small laugh escapes from Scott but your attention was distracted by the music of the next song. Bucky blue-grey eyes suddenly met yours, a startling display on his face, although he suddenly recovered and smiled. The need to flee is intense but it doesn't deter you from looking his way.
Bucky left hands dance around the mahogany neck between the frets of his acoustic bass, but his eyes never leave you. Right fingers slapping, alternate with the thumbing and plucking across the strings, generate that clean tone with volume. To the common listener, the melody of his bass might be overshadowed by Clint’s guitar, but not for you.
Sure, you have seen Bucky playing the bass before, live, but now seeing the acoustic bass been played with such precision, those odd sensations pull you back again. The music finally comes to an end and it freaks you out a little bit, unwilling to talk to the man yet.
“Cassie, what about we visit the kids and give them the cards and the goody bags?” a sneaky look at the stage gives you a glance on what Bucky’s doing.
“I can borrow you some Captain Marvel costume or a Unicorn.” Slowly and calculated, you are ready to escape from the hall.
“Daddy, can I go with her?” Cassie jumps a bit, excited to dress as Captain Marvel.
“Yes Jellybean. Don’t go too long, uncle Bucky might want to meet her.”
***
The hectic Monday had never been Bucky’s favorite, but he will do anything to get the forgiveness he is fighting for.
He thought he would finally get to talk to the woman he so stupidly dishonored. When he saw you at the hospital, he can’t help but trying to show off a little bit of his skill – stupid, he knows. After the performance, he even asked Steve for a break because he was determined to find you. Unfortunately, the lucky stars aren’t on Bucky’s side and he was once again left disappointed.
The chilly November in New York was always the same but Bucky absolutely loved the colors before it turns all white and wet because of the snow. The south street on the central park was adorned with a beautiful color. Not only it has the yellow ginko and gray birch leaves, but this part of the street also has red black cherry and pin oak leaves as well as an orange leaves of tupelo trees. Unable to resist capturing the scenery, Bucky starts doing an Instagram live, things he rarely did because he usually just post things like pictures of shows, his bandmate or his instrument. After fifteen minutes of walking through central park, Bucky finally arrives in the west street, his destination.
At first, Bucky had an appointment with Natasha but it’s actually an excuse of his intention to meet you. Eventually, Natasha gave in and giving Bucky information on what class you have today. To be honest there is a slight of agitation on Bucky’s, afraid of to be dismissed and branded as a bit of a stalker by you. But, when he reminds himself of the thing he said to you, he seriously wants to reflect on his wrong and apologize sincerely.
“Excuse me, I am looking for someone.” Bucky meets a man with a blue button-up and khakis pants. He doesn’t look old, probably in his mid or late thirty. Bucky gives him your name and showing the picture from Natasha’s Instagram.
“You are looking for Monet?” he asks Bucky curios.
“Monet?” Bucky confused.
“Yes, Monet. She is in the class, you just need to turn to the left.” The man checking his watch and look at Bucky again. “Class will be over in a minute, you need to hurry if you want to meet her. She has an appointment with Prof. Pierce.”
“Thank you, sir?”
“Rumlow, Brock Rumlow.” Bucky shakes Brock hand and dashed to the classroom quickly. To his disappointment, everyone seems already finished and only several students stay in class. With a defeated sigh, Bucky exits the class and walks through the corridor. For a second he thinks he sees a familiar silhouette at the far end of the hall and when the figure turns around, Bucky’s eyes meet yours. He watched as your eyes widened in shock and you hurriedly ran to an open door that Bucky’s assumed is the professor’s office.

“Malyshka, when will you stop being childish?”
“What?” you eyeing Natasha, hurt with her accusation. ”What is this about Nat?”
“Remember Bucky?” you groaned at Natasha when she said that.
“Sestra please, that was months ago.”
“I know, I know.” Natasha walks and sat at the bed beside you. “But don’t you think it will be better if you appreciate his effort to apologize? or better, let him apologize.”
“He never tries to apologize.”
“The thing is you didn’t let him try, don’t you?” Nat arched her eyebrow.
“How did you even know this?” you pout at Natasha.
“Well, he called me yesterday when you pull that latest escape from the class. Not to mention when you slammed the door in front of him.” Natasha added when looking at you, waiting for an excuse.
Along sighed escaped for you when you recalled what happened that Saturday night.
A Saturday night well spent, that’s might be the correct term the night. Especially before the so-called arrogant someone, knock on Natasha brownstone house.
Since Friday afternoon, Natasha has been dragging you out from your cave – your bedroom. The first week of the new semester has been difficult for you. Although the elective class on liberal arts and history wasn’t that hard, coming back after a year break definitely, taking a toll on your performance.
Natasha has been very supportive since you take a break from school last year. She always tried to include you in her so-called socializing activity, because she believed that you are too naïve and need more exposure to the wild ride.
Here you are at the cute brownstone that she shared with her roommate Maria. Maria is an art curator at a museum in New York but now is out of town visiting her boyfriend.
Friday night has been spent hopping from bar to bar with Nat. Saturday morning you spent quite some time in central park. The lake and the bridge is your favorite spot to spend the day for hours. That evening, Natasha initiates to just spend time at her home. Binge watched Netflix and eating pizza.
Your stomach growls loudly and your check the clock, noticing that the pizza is over 10 minutes late.
You heard a knock on the door and check the clock on the wall again. The pizza guy arrived 15 minutes late. Running from the couch, your hand immediately reached out the knob and open the door.
The view behind the door or more correctly, the person, wasn’t someone you had hoped to see. You stare at him wide-eyed. Never in your life, did you envision to meet the douchewagon again. Without further ado, you slammed the door in front of him. You winced when the door frame rattle slightly, it seems you slammed it too hard.
“Where is the pizza?” Natasha curious when you are coming back empty-handed.
“Uhh…no. It’s not the pizza guy. It’s just someone knocking on the wrong door.” You avoid looking her in the eyes, because if you don’t, she will instantly know that you’re lying to her, immediately. Sometimes you think that Natasha will be better as a spy than a ballerina.
“It’s not my fault! When he arrives at your house unannounced, I freaked out.” You explained to Natasha, although it also wasn’t a lie.
“Malyska will you let him apologized next time?”
“Sestra, why is it so important for me to forgive Bucky? I know that Clint is your boyfriend…” you winked at Natasha. “but, this has anything to do with me forgiving him or him apologizing.”
“It is important because you are my best friend and my sister and Bucky is my dumb cousin, but I also love him.”
“Your what?” you gasp in shock surprise. “Why did I never know this? Nat, I thought you don’t have any family in the state.” You can’t believe that Natasha didn’t mention her family. You have been friends for ages, and she knows almost everything about you and your small family of four.
“Well…I just knew this recently when I celebrate my nana 80th birthday two years ago in upper east. Apparently, my aunt moved to the state after she finished her school and married Bucky’s dad who is an American.”
“Ok. You don’t have any obligation to tell me anything. I mean I might believe the rumors that your family is a mafia back in Russia.” A wide smile spread on your face and Natasha can’t help but giggling back at and throwing a pillow at you.
“Malyska, please give him a chance to explain himself. And he said he will do anything to gain your forgiveness so you might take advantage of that.” Natasha smiles mischievously at you and you can’t help but grin back at her.

Second sem (and freshman year) recap
It’s pretty hard to believe, but another chapter of my college journey is finally over and done with. Since I had ended the first half of the school year in such high spirits, I didn’t really believe upperclassmen when they warned that things were only going to get harder from there. In fact, I even thought I’d be the one to prove them wrong! I mean, with a class schedule that looked like this, how would I run out of time for all the things I both needed and wanted to do? My Tuesdays and Thursdays were practically free, save for that one Math class I had to attend in the morning that I surprisingly never cut.
For the most part of the semester, I was in a chill state compared to everyone else. I claimed that I had successfully adjusted to the demands of higher education to the point where I found what once was an unreasonable workload to be manageable. I was able to make time for my home org’s activities and devote enough attention to the only project I was deployed to, which I touched on a bit in my first recap blog post (linked here in case you want to jog your memory). As previously mentioned, I was assigned as one of the Documentations Heads under the Information Management department of the Career Building Program, a three-phase event that gives its participants a glimpse into the corporate world. We kicked things off with a resume writing workshop that I was lucky enough to join. The facilitator assigned to me gave useful insights that I was able to apply in the creation of my own curriculum vitae, which I am keen on using when it’s my turn to apply for internships and jobs in the future. I obviously don’t have much on it yet, seeing as I’m just a freshman, but the idea of filling it up with more experiences over the years is exciting me in ways I cannot explain.
Our group was even given the opportunity to explore the studio of the country’s biggest network, where we were briefed by executives in communications and IT and toured around the sets of our favorite shows. We even ran into Luis Manzano while he was filming Minute to Win It! Unfortunately, I wasn’t scouted by any representative from Star Magic and spontaneously put in a love team with Donny Pangilinan, but I guess that’s alright.
I also went to Talent Night with some friends (not in pictures: Gela's boyfriend and ICA barkada), which is shocking since I’m honestly not the type to attend parties like this. I’ve always been the girl who stayed home and binge watched YouTube videos on a Friday night. But, I guess the drunk confidence of those I was with rubbed off on me and I managed to pull through! It was also a plus that Timmy Albert was one of the performers: I do pass him by along the corridors quite frequently, but it’s just different seeing him sing and play an instrument in front of a crowd, especially since I’ve loved Roses and Sunflowers even before I got into Ateneo.
One surprise that I definitely did not see coming was participating in Daloy, our annual program that revolves around corporate social responsibility. This year, we decided to shed a light on how this could be seen in the Philippine clothing industry, so it seemed fitting to hold some talks featuring prominent figures in this field, as well as a fashion show to exhibit the collections of local brands that advocated sustainability. I was really interested in the concept when I first heard of it, and initially wanted to go as a mere audience member - little did I know that I would be tapped by the committee to model! To this day, I don’t know how or why I was chosen: from what I know, there were even screenings held a week prior to the event to determine who would get to walk the runway. But, I was messaged three days before and in that short span of time, I had to fit clothes, find pieces in my closet to match them and perfect my walk (which took several tries on my part, given the fact that when shy, I’m stiff as a board).
Agreeing to join was a huge step out of my comfort zone - the closest I’ve ever come to strutting on a catwalk was back when family members would ask me to “walk like a fashion model” as a kid during reunions. So, the fact that it had all paid off in the end, and that I was even complimented for the way I looked and performed beyond what was probably expected, was definitely a huge confidence boost for me. I couldn’t have done it without Nelly, Daloy’s project head who patiently guided me through the entire process before the show.
Shoutout as well to the other ACTM upperclassmen who were so friendly to me this school year. We may not have any pictures together, but you deserve a spot on this post nevertheless: Gella, my "boss" (hehe) who was always so patient when I asked questions and even went out of her way to say such kind words about my writing; Sam Que who made me feel like we had already known each other for so long even if we had just talked for the first time, and Ysagab who constantly reassured me that I was doing a good job even if I was looking like such a rookie.
My presence in events wasn’t limited to those of ACTM, though. I also went to the Loyola Film Circle’s Under the Stars, where I was able to see the live performances of OPM acts and watch one of my favorite chick flicks beneath the beautiful night sky. Since it took place the day after Valentine’s, I was surrounded by Ateneans and their significant others (who didn’t hold back at all when it came to publicly displaying their affection), but I didn’t even mind since I was content in the company of both my college constants and high school friends.
I dropped by Sulyap as well, which was the culminating activity of the Ateneo Heights Writers Workshop and the launch of the chapbook of their fellows. It was one of the busiest Fridays of the school year, but I still made it a point to go, because I wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity to be a part of something organized by my dream org, Ateneo’s premier literary publication. As much as I love my course and the people in it, I have to admit that I haven’t been able to exercise much of my creative side. So being in a room full of like-minded individuals and hearing them speak lengthily about their works and the process that brought them to life was a refreshing experience, a much-needed break from the usual routine. My personal favorite was Unica Hijas by Mikaela Regis, which revolved around a lesbian couple trying to make their relationship work despite the fact that they study in a conservative, all-girls high school - a setting which is all too familliar to me.
It’s also worth noting that I was sorta able to tick a particular item off my freshman year bucket list. And I say sorta, because… well, you’ll see. It’s been a dream of mine ever since to watch a UAAP basketball game live, show up to the arena in a bright blue shirt, cheer as loud as I can when a player makes a point and raise my fist in the air while Song for Mary plays in the background. But, even if I’m consistently in school by 6am, I was never able to get tickets - I couldn’t match the efforts of some fans, who would camp overnight just to get their hands on them. But, just when I thought there was no more chance for me to show my school pride at a match, my friend Mika offered me a free ticket to the Ateneo Lady Eagles’ volleyball match against FEU at the Filoil Arena one Wednesday. We weren’t really on speaking terms before because we were from different cliques, but after bonding over K-Pop, I saw how nice and chill of a person she actually is. So, I didn’t want to turn her down even if I was hesitant to go at first. You see, I was never a fan - in fact, I didn’t know how the game went despite the PE lessons I had back in Grade 5. (Ms. Abella, if you see this, I’m sorry.) But, it didn’t take a lot of convincing for me to agree and I ended up enjoying way more than I thought I would. Fortunately, I was able to catch on when it came to the rules of the sport: the energy of the crowd was contagious as well, and the performance of the players was way too good it was impossible not to shout either out of triumph or frustration. Once we made it to the finals against UST, I even found myself waiting for announcements on where to buy tickets. I didn’t get any though, because they were either sold out due to the ever-increasing demand (ALE fans don’t play around) or there was a conflict in schedule (hi, Enlit play).
Despite this, I streamed the last game and screamed like I was actually in the venue myself. Apologies to all our neighbors, who probably thought someone was getting killed in the house beside theirs. I was so proud when they brought home the championship after three years, I even bought a Team Ateneo shirt (it’s not that hard to guess whose name is on the back) and went to the bonfire with my friends Gwen, Julia and Lou. I had hoped to meet and take a picture with the players, but they were already far too wasted when I arrived. Like, seriously. I saw Maddie Madayag chug a whole bottle of Mule right before my eyes.
So, you could say that it was all fun and games (quite literally) for me until hell weeks eventually rolled in. Plural form intended. I found out that all my professors were just holding back every major requirement until the very last stretch of the semester. Suddenly, my schedule was chock full of presentations and final papers, comprehensive exams and extra classes that put my time management and endurance to the test. I spent many days in Matteo Down just like before, but also started going to the floor above it in case I wanted to suffer in the company of more people. The studying would only continue once I got home: I’d pull all-nighters despite my brain’s and skin’s desperate cries for help, as manifested in my worsening acne. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that stressed in my life, and it’s scary to think that that’s only the tip of the iceberg in the Ateneo.
Coping mechanisms I’ve picked up to help me deal with these unavoidable circumstances would be trying every restaurant along the Katipunan area whenever I had free time (which I will elaborate on more extensively in another blog post, so do watch out for that!) and eventually discovering Pancake House’s corned beef hash, which I love so much I once had it thrice in the span of a week. Another one would be the addition of yet another emotional support K-Pop boy to my collection. After watching My ID is Gangnam Beauty over Holy Week break, I fell in love with Cha Eunwoo and his god-tier visuals, mild demeanor, impressive English skills and heartfelt determination. This led me to binge watching reality show episodes and furiously putting the entire discography of Astro on loop. If you look at my Last.fm, you could see how Crazy Sexy Cool easily climbed to the top of my most played songs, sitting prettily at the #1 spot with over 300 plays in just a little over two months.
Although I constantly had to bear the pressure and stress on my shoulders over the past academic year, I am eternally grateful to Ateneo for equipping me with lessons both within and beyond the realm of academics that have helped me grow into someone I never imagined, but am happy to have turned into anyway. When my naive and starry-eyed self first entered college, I had such high hopes for what my experience would be and proceeded to map out the next four years of my life in accordance with the vision I had in my head. Having just broken free from the metaphorical chains of my previous school, I found it to be the perfect time to transform into a student who excelled academically, had a long and winding list of extracurricular activities and easily built a vast network of connections thanks to her pleasing and magnetic personality. If I got lucky, maybe I’d have one of those so-called “college blooms” and even get myself an actual boyfriend!
This isn’t something unique to me, I bet a lot of people entered this new stage of their lives with the same mindset so I wasn’t the only one in shock upon realizing that it doesn’t always play out that way in real life. Because of these ridiculous expectations we have implanted in our heads, that basically state that we have to be successful in everything we do and fast, we subconsciously keep ourselves from enjoying the process. In our desire to aim high and aspire for perfection in all that we do, we could end up failing to acknowledge the small yet equally important wins we gain along the way: the friend we make outside of our block despite the sheer discomfort we experience in meeting new people, or the answer we gave in class that impressed our most intimidating professor could appear minuscule when placed beside our goal of being straight-A student who’s active in seven orgs. In addition, we deprive ourselves of the allowance to make mistakes, stray from taking the detours and breaks we need to remain functional human beings and often drive ourselves to the point of fatigue and burnout. And when we are still not flourishing and thriving as planned, we fall prey to toxic comparison: we pit ourselves against others who don’t have the same background or circumstances as we do and question why our progress doesn’t match with theirs.
This is obviously such a toxic way to go about things. Talk about sucking the fun out of what’s supposed to be the four most enjoyable years of our lives. Thankfully, over time, I did some growing up, if you will, and channeled the power of acceptance - both of what I am and what I am not, and the will of God (or whichever supreme being you've placed your faith in) who meticulously planned out what’s ahead of me before I was even old enough to know what school was. I now work to the best of my ability, confident that all I have to do is put in my share of the hard work and see where it takes me, and am also more gentle with myself when I make mistakes.
On a somewhat lighter note, I’ve also been able to form my own opinions about very controversial issues on campus: an example of which would be what I think is the best CR - the answer is definitely Arete. You can’t go wrong with its triple killer combo of aircon, bidet and strong WiFi connection. The only possible downside could be the fact that there are usually a lot of people, so it’s not the best option if you’re planning on being loud and… um, smelly. The secluded and fragrant Leong Hall and ever-reliable New Lib restrooms come in second and third place respectively, while honorable mentions include the 2F Kostka CR (but only from 6:00-7:00am, when no one else is around) and this one specific stall in the Socsci building that's spacious enough that I can bring all my belongings inside with me.
Another point for discussion would be the superior place to eat on school grounds: this might cause an uproar, I’m aware, but I still believe it’s JSEC, despite the stark price difference compared to other cafeterias on campus. I was set on trying something from every stall before the school year ended, but I was too fixated on my top picks: I don’t have any regrets though. In fact, I wish I had more of the beef salpicao with calamares on the side from Casa Paella, the Superbowl from Blendabowls and The Coop fries with garlic aioli served on the side. Besides the fact that the food served is satisfying beyond measure, I enjoy the chit-chats I have with the ates and kuyas manning the stalls, who never fail to ask me how I am and tell me about the cute chinito boys they see on campus that they think I might like.
Although I can’t completely rule out Gonzaga, because of this particular stall with quality liempo and a kuya who always gives me a five peso discount. (I’ve been told he does this with girls he finds cute, but I have yet to confirm that). Also, it’s the only place on campus that I know of that sells fresh fruits by the kilo - perfect for those days when I try to convince myself to go on a diet before I relapse and binge eat at Pancake House.
A lot of people do say that ISO sisig is worth the cross-campus walk it’ll take to get there (e-jeep rides are more recommended! An experience in itself! Especially if you’re seated in the back, where there’s a constant feeling of being sucked in a vacuum! But, I digress) - it might just be a matter of preference, but I think it’s overrated. A destination that deserves more attention is the Cervini Hall cafeteria just by the university dormitories. I’ve only been there a grand total of two times so I don’t exactly have any specific favorites on the menu that I recommend, but I’d definitely still go for the homey ambience.
As for superior study places, Matteo Down has been tried and tested several times: I do prefer getting a place opposite to the entrance though, because it does get distracting having to see people enter and go out the door so often. What was supposed to be a study session often ends up becoming a game to see how many people are wearing a striped shirt today. I usually spend time on the fourth floor of the Rizal Library, and get the couch as often as I can because of the comfort (and charger) it provides.
Of course, I wouldn’t have been able to power through this year without the help of my closest friends: Sevi, Gwen, Raya and Christine. I always had this nagging fear in the back of my head that I wouldn’t be able to find a tight-knit group once I got to college, but thank you for proving me wrong. Thank you for letting me be my true self, for entertaining even my most random thoughts and for accepting all the kalat that comes with being my friend. I sincerely hope that we stay together and have more Gino’s dates in the future along with Chloe!
To Gela, Jill, Shar (and Dom, but we don’t have any pictures together except for the last one HAHAHA) - I didn’t expect at all that I’d be writing about you guys. I was so intimidated by all of you at first, because I felt like we were so different in terms of our upbringing and environment. But after getting to know you, I came to realize that you are seriously some of the most down-to-earth, chill people ever. Thank you for always providing quality chismis, volunteering to find me chinito boys to date and giving me apps to make my IG stories look cuter.
To the rest of X1, we weren’t exactly the most united and we knew that - it’s just that we were probably the most diverse out of all the groups in our batch, and with that comes clashing personalities and differing opinions and interests. But, nevertheless, I am content with the time we managed to spend together, where I was able to get to know all of you!
To the friends that I made outside of my block (and even my course), thank you for laughing at my jokes and telling me that I'm fun to talk to. Hopefully, we get to hang out more and maybe even have common classes in the future hehe
To my Enlit section, we barely spoke to one another during the first semester so I fell under the impression that you were all stoic and no fun to be with. But, I was proven wrong eventually. I wish I was able to talk to more people in LL, but to the classmates I was closest to (Dootie, Cyrah, Czarina, She and Jessa), I will never forget our side comments and mini-rant sessions. I heard we’re having another English subject come sophomore year, and I really hope I end up with you guys again.
All in all, there is no other word that could sum up the experience that was my freshman year in college better than “adventure”. It was every single emotion on the spectrum All At Once, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world - in fact, during the first half of the semester, I admit that I’d entertain thoughts of alternate universes where I’d be an Iska/Lasallista/Tomasino out of sheer curiosity, but now I just can’t imagine myself anywhere else. Anyway, enough with all that drama. I’m going back to school in three weeks to start my summer term, which we fondly (lmao) refer to as intersession. So, there’s technically nothing to miss.
Hope the rest of you enjoy the summer break that I unfortunately will not be able to experience until I graduate from college! Wishing you nothing but love and light, always.

Leur Amour S'épanouit
Chapter 2
Summary: Only so many things could stand in the way of Sting and Rogue's destined path. At this point, it was just Yukino, but Rogue couldn't let her go. Was it because of shame or stubbornness? Characters: Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, Erza Scarlet, Makaroc Dreyar, OC Rating: T Words: 6,575 FFnet | AO3
It was an ongoing cycle of boring meeting after boring meeting with no end in sight. This conference made Sting discover one of his worse nightmares and he was living it every single day. He just wished for the next two days to be over and take that sucky train back to Azura with Rogue. The thought of the shadow dragon slayer twisted his whole body, in a ways equally pleasant and painful. The brooding man was always in his thoughts creeping in at the most unexpected of moments, moments such as this.
Some old guy from Toad Stool was speaking about reward increases. Which was followed by a heavy argument from a couple of the larger guilds. Who made him guild master again? Rogue would be so much more suited for the job but he was in another large meeting room.
He kept his eyes down on his paper, gripping his pen as he doodled on the margin. Small swirls and lightning bolts were drawn onto the piece of parchment, maybe he should become an artist instead of a mage. He would be the best at it, hell, he would he the best at anything he tried. Becoming more determined he scribbled some more on his paper, his tongue poking out at bit from his deep concentration. The black ink spread around his meaningless notes, he didn't understand economics so they were of no importance to him.
His ears perked up from a familiar voice, cerulean eyes looking up on the form of the newest head chairman, Makarov. A small portrait of him would be nice; Sting quickly drew a body and gave him his infamous scruffy hair. To top it all off, he drew a large comediacly large bulbous nose. When he looked back up at the small old man, the noses didn't seem completely right but at least he tried.
An abnormally large mallet slammed down on his paper, Sting sitting up as straight as a board. His pen went flying overhead as he saluted the councilmen in front of him. “Yes sir!” His voice a higher pitch than normal as he looked over the small stout man, that was Makarov. The tiny man had become the senior chair in the magic council after the events of Tartaros due to his title of wizard saint. The Magic Council also needed someone they could trust, so Makarov was really the only option. In his stead, Erza Scarlet became the next guild master not his grandson. It was a shock to most but a welcome surprise, the red head truly deserved the honour.
“Hehe,” the old man chuckled, “you seem to be writing down some excellent notes, Master Eucliffe. Would you like to share some of those…” Makarov’s attention turned to the paper, a grin almost larger than his face appearing. “Wonderful diagrams with us.”
All eyes in the room turned to face the young guild master, his whole body heating up with embarrassment. “Well you see uhhh…” Sting grabbed the stack of papers and held them at a inauspicious length from his body and looked over them, speaking in a louder tone than normal so everyone could hear. “This diagram is not really complete yet,” a knowing grin came from Makarov, “I will present it when I'm done.” The blond rubbed the back of his neck, beaming a small smile to the circled table of guild masters.
“I see,” the old man was really out for blood. “We will chat about this later then young man, I would love to see your ideas.” Makarov still stood on the white table, waddling as he continued his previous speech.
“Of course,” Sting grumbled but Makarov was too far away to hear. Not like it would have mattered if he disagreed, that perverted old man would find him if he tried to give him the slip.
After the meeting was over, Sting lounged around until the other masters left. This took a longer amount of time than he thought as everyone had to chit-chat. Didn't they all have time to go out for drinks after all the meetings were done?
He sat up on the table, looking over the packet he had received. Most of its contents were lost to him, when would a mage ever have the time to learn the fundamentals of running a business (also known as keeping the guild afloat) and then managing money; he felt as if they expected too much of him. Sting had trouble with these concepts, he knew once he got back to the hotel room the packets he had received today would go straight to Rogue. His partner always knew how to explain things in a way that he would understand.
Sting grew giddy as he thought of seeing Rogue again, even when the man was not in the best of moods. Just the presence of the shadow slayer lifted his soul to new heights, he never understood how Rogue didn't see it. He had always needed the ruby eyed man in his life.
Sting chewed on his inner lip, older couple shuffling out of the conference room. Shifting in his seat, it appeared as if Fairy Tail’s previous guild master had left too -leaving him all alone. How rude.
“Sting, my child.” Makarov’s voice was calling him and Sting turned to see the old man in front of him. It was odd that he not only referred to him as a child but as his own.
The young guild master smiled at his elder, looking down at his figure. He always forgot how small he was in person. “Heya, Makarov. What did ya need?”
Makarov's mustache twitched as he eyed Sting, his hand enlarging to pat the dragon slayer on the back. In a teasing voice, “I just wanted to let you know those ‘diagrams’ you drew were stellar but maybe you should pay more attention. That would be a nice change for once.”
Denying his accusation, the blond shook his head feverishly. “Sir, I was paying attention the whole time! Those uhm… diagrams were just my understanding of the presentation.”
A smug grin appeared on Makarov’s face as he held Sting’s interpretation of how he looked up to his face. “I think I look quite nice, though the nose could have some better work. Hehe.”
“How did you get those,” Sting exclaimed, swiping the documents from his hand. This made Sting admit to his folly, “Alright, fine. I wasn't paying attention but I did for the first part.”
The elderly man chuckled, holding his hand to his chest. “You're so easy to poke at. I didn't come here to scold you but it was just too easy.” His laughter was a clacking cackle which was refreshing to the youthful laughter he typically heard in his own guild. “I just came here to say you're doing a wonderful job with Sabertooth. I'm glad my children have such wonderful shitty demons.” The old man’s brows drooped sullenly at the last words, Tartarus not a good memory for anyone. “You really lead a good group of mages.”
The blond was taken back by the councilman’s statement, he felt a surge of honor well up in his chest. The great Makarov was complimenting him, out of all the more experienced guild masters here. “It's nothin’, old man. It's my newfound duty to protect my friends and guildmates, nobody is gonna stop me even if it's a bunch of lame demons. That's why we went to get our lady.”
At the mention of the lady the wizard saint perked up. “How is Minerva doing these days?”
Sting was unsure of how to answer without revealing too much private information. He stumbled over his words, “Well… she is fine but still coping. She's become a much better person since…”
Makarov seemed satisfied with this answer and pulled his mustache between his fingers, rolling the tip between his thumb and forefinger. “I hope she's having an easy time on the path of light, keep an eye on her. The darkness will try to snatch her right back up.” With this cryptic statement, Makarov made his leave.
Following the motion of him, the dragon slayer left the empty conference room. The word's deeper meaning utterly lost to Sting, making his head hurt as he pondered on the old man’s small speech. Minerva had made great progress in the time since Tatarus, even becoming an idol to the younger mages in Sabertooth. Surely nothing bad would happen anytime soon. And if there was the chance of any evil awakenings, Sabertooth would put a halt to it -they always did.
Makarov was waddling down the hallway and stopped in his tracks, looking back at Sting. “I hope to see you at the party later tonight.” The stout old man turned and kept going, his wishes were more like a command.
Like hell Sting was going to go to some party with a bunch of old geezers. All they did was talk about politics, and he didn’t understand a lick of it. But if Makarov expected to see him there, then he had to go.
Pushing through the large doors of Era, the greatest star of all was reigning high in the sky. Its great radiant beams granting Sting a highly needed boost of energy. The small pamphlet given to them on Monday held all the dates, times, and information on the meeting the guild masters and their chosen representative would be attending. Pulling the beat up paper from his pocket, Rogue had just started a meeting. He grimaced at the fact, Sting was hoping to buy them a nice lunch.
Walking down the concrete steps a breeze pushed the familiar scent of strawberries his way, a small tinge of iron mixed in. His nose was now leading him toward the intoxicating scent, an armour clad woman sternly speaking to someone. Red hair flowed gracefully with the breeze, turning in small rivulets along the gentle slope of her back. The scarlet color accentuated by the metallic plates adorning her torso.
Sting was always attracted to the color red, it’s beauty held the most bittersweet of feelings. Erza’s hair reminded him of Rogue’s own ruby orbs and he grit his teeth as he thought fondly of the shadow dragon slayer. He really hoped they would be able to have dinner together later.
Taking his eyes off the scarlet beauty, he made his way down the steps; hoping to avoid Fairy Tail’s guild master -his stomach was in much dire need of attention.
The blond licked his lips at the thought of all the possible food choices within Era’s central market place, he was going to have a great time there. Moving his arms behind his head, a spine-tingling cool hand caught his forearm. Sting groaned internally, he really thought he managed to avoid Erza.
“Sting,” the woman’s voice in her always mildly serious tone. He didn’t really think there was anything important to discuss, but the red head always seemed fixated on the most minute and meticulous of details. “It’s nice to see you today. I find it surprising you didn’t stop by to greet me.”
Sting pulled his arm from her armoured hand, awkwardly chuckling as he rubbed the back of his head. Could he really think of a plausible excuse for the great Titania. “Well uhhh… You seemed kinda busy back there. I didn’t want ta bother ya, ya know?”
The requip mage’s arms crossed over her stomach, giving the blond a hard cold stare. The two had been fond of each other since he was Natsu’s ex-boyfriend, but he could never get used to the judgemental stares she would give.
The blond continued to babble under her stare, “Plus, I was just going to get some food. My stomach is literally eating itself.”
Her brown eyes lit up and she grabbed his wrist, beginning to drag him off the marketplace. “What a good suggestion, Sting. Getting lunch together is such a marvelous idea.”
He could practically feel the sweat starting to form at the tops of his eyebrows, as he was dragged along by his fellow guild master. This situation was something he had never expected out of today but maybe he could get her to pay for the food. It would be a win-win for the both of them.
Shortly after paying (as in, Erza payed for it all) and waiting for the food to be made, the guild master duo found themselves sitting at a small dining table. The marketplace was vibrant and full of various oddities of all kinds of wonders,as was to be expected of Fiore’s magic capital. New magic technologies were on display in the crowded booths, every seller trying to catch the attention of those walking by. This did distract Erza and himself on multiple occasions -who didn’t want a ring that changed color by your mood? Though he could see the stars in Erza’s eyes whenever they passed a weapon’s booth. Unlike the blond, she proved quite resistant to the charm of all the shiny new toys.
The metal chair was certainly not inviting as he settled into it, the seat’s rusty exterior scratching his arms. He had a large tray of food, stacked sky high; compared to Erza who only had a small piece of strawberry cake. Sting had never seen the red head with anything other than the sweet pastry in front of her -did she ever eat anything else?
Like a pig, he began to dig into his platter of food shoving the street food down into his mouth. It was oh so satisfying to feel his belly fill up with the tasty foods. Crumbs and inedible debris flew about, shoveling his food down into his mouth nonstop . He was sure Erza was speaking but his focus was entirely on the platter of dwindling food in front of him. Sting’s throat bubbled up, placing his hand on his stomach in content -satisfaction and comfort now enveloping him. Opening his mouth, he emitted a loud burp everyone around the two looking at them in disgust or amusement.
Sting wiped his face off with a napkin, completely unashamed of his bad manners. Erza’s plate was barely touched, only a small bite taken from the spongy yellow cake. “Say ‘excuse you’, Sting. You would think a guild master would set a better example.” She sent a playful look his way, but her tone was serious as always.
Sheepishly he blushed, finally noticing the stares the two were getting. “Yeah… ‘Scuse me,” he interrupted himself by laughing, “The food was just too good.”
Erza nodded her head, placing her fork down beside her cake. Her gaze turned to him, her brown eyes narrowing, “I see, but I need to discuss some things with you concerning your guild.”
Sting let out a groan in response, this whole week he had been talking about Sabertooth. Couldn’t he just take a break from boasting about how amazing they were? The scarlet-haired woman responded by swatting his hand. “Ouch! What was that for?!” He exclaimed, rubbing his now pink hand.
“Sometimes you’re as disrespectful as Natsu,” he could tell Erza regretted the words as soon as they tumbled out of her mouth. The dragon slayer’s name burned his heart, he never wanted to be compared to his ex ever again. “Please forgive-”
The blond held his hand up, “No need, Erza. I was out of line and you are a woman who demands respect from her audience, ya know. I can give that ta ya, just forgive me for being so… childish.” Another word that put him down. He rubbed his hands against his legs, trying to get away from his typical behaviors.
Mocha eyes softened, the air settling into a much more mellow atmosphere. A pleased glint crossed those same eyes and she took another bite of her glorified strawberry cake. “You are very surprising sometimes. It’s very admirable to say that of yourself, Sting. I can see why those in Sabertooth look up to you so fondly. You’re a great leader, when you really want to.”
A smile was latched onto his face from her compliment. Another chuckle slipped from his lips, taking kindly to the guild master sitting in front of him. “Thanks, Erza. I have made a great effort to be better for the guild’s sake -we have come a long way.”
It really had been, it had been a real struggle to break from the reputation they had previously attained. The were seen as bullies, the unconquerable king of the hill (until Fairy Tail had regained its status), and the new example for all newly formed guilds of the time. Cruelty and viciousness had swept through the guilds in Fiore because of this imaginary competition of being the best, although it had never existed in the first place. There was no such thing as “the best”, every guild had its pros and cons. Sabertooth having many negatives but it was perfectly balanced out by the positives, and he assumed that of any other guild.
He started the reformation by kicking members who were stuck in the past or who had a current criminal reputation. Sting welcomed them to come back once they had found the light, but he had a larger group to care for. Then their funds were tidied up and placed in fair order for renovation. He was so proud of the job he did with the guild hall. His last revision was the roles everyone had played in the guild, everyone was equal now and free to do as they choose (as long as it was legal).
A smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth, as she mindlessly toying with the piece of cake. A true predator always played with its prey, Sting grinned at the thought. “Aside from your occasional mistakes in good choices, Sabertooth is just as good as Fairy Tail. I’m glad to call you guys our companions.” They had always been as good as the fairies, or so he liked to think.
His grin turned into a goofy smile, all of it was directed toward the requip mage. She lightly blushed from his smile, it was cute to see the somber mage somewhat flustered for once. The pink tinge of her cheeks suited her features, if he hadn’t been so gay, Erza would have been exactly the type of woman he would want. Too bad she was engaged to Jellal, they were made in the stars.
Speaking of those bright, glittery, and wonderful balls of fire, he knew Rogue loved to go stargazing. Maybe he would take the brooding friend out later, they had avoided each other since the train ride to Era. Only seeing one another during meetings and back at the hotel room; having exchanged a couple words between one another but hadn't really said anything to one another.
Leaning back in his chair, he pushed the shadow mage from his head. Deciding the beratement of flattery was unusual from the woman, he poked at her a bit. “Erza, are ya complimenting me for some other reason? I mean, I appreciate it an’ all but-”
Her back straightened up, surprise evident on her face. Cutting the blond off, she blurted out, “Why do you think so?”
With his contagious grin widening imperceptibly, he shifted forward and wiggled his nose. Erza shifted in her seat, looking a bit squeamish and he prodded at her more, taking a small whiff of the air. “I can smell that you’re hiding something, “ Sting cood.
But Erza had an iron will, not giving into his teasing so easily. “Dragon slayers can’t smell things like that.” She certainly wasn’t wrong, but Sting knew that the woman wasn’t typically so generous.
Now he bared his ivory canines, nearing her piece of cake with his mouth open. The red head looked so conflicted as he closed in on her piece of strawberry cake, slowly prying her fork from her fingers. “Tell me, Erza or your cake will suffer!” In his great exclamation, he flicked his tongue over the vanilla frosting.
He should have known better than to mess with the Great Titania’s cherished food. In an instant, her fork was pressed against his throat and she hoisted him up by the collar of his shirt; brown eyes filled with a burning fire, protecting the delicacy she loved so much. “You play too much, Sting. My cake’s honour will not be diminished by your vile tongue!”
“Heh…” Sting was in awe of Erza, no wonder why Natsu had called her a monster. He liked the flared spark she had shown him and he carefully wrapped his hand around her wrist. “I’ve learned my lesson, Erza! I will never touch the holy grail ever again!” He over exaggerated his words, slowly pulling the fork from his throat -he didn’t want to see how much damage she could truly do with it.
Sting slumped back onto the the table grateful that Erza didn't injure him with a fork. He was sure she could do it anytime she'd like. After the scarlet haired monster released her hold on him. With a small huff, she returned to her seat, “This treat is not for someone of the likes of you.” Erza pursed her lips, stabbing her fork down into the fluffy piece of cake and shoved the rest of the piece into her mouth.
The blond’s jaw dropped, astonished by the guild master’s gesture. She continued, speaking while chewing. “I would have rather savored this piece, but you insisted on getting into business,” she gave him a hard look, “This involves Sorcerer Weekly.”
Ah, yes. That magazine had been up to no good as of late. They had gone from the most reputable source for mage gossip (not that gossip was ever any good, but it was once truthful), to scummy reporters and paparazzi. Every issue was full of blatant lies about the lives of guild mages, new magics, The Council, and mages between those in the guilds. He was curious to know why Erza wanted to talk about it, Fairy Tail and Sabertooth weren’t involved with them as much anymore.
“What about them?” Sure he was interested but his tone conveyed his disinterest in the topic.
Erza sighed and pulled a small piece of paper from her magical storage. “As you may know, Lucy worked as an editor and reporter for them a couple years ago. She ran into Jason recently and he gave her this.” Carefully she slid the paper across the table, seeming scared to touch it. “It’s an article that’s going into the next issue.”
Plucking the paper up, his eyes started to lazily skim across the words. It started out with the details of Rogue and Yukino’s relationship (which he really didn’t care for). Then it took a turn, talking about the scandalous affair between the two top women of Sabertooth -Yukino and Minerva. This was the answer to his prayers, but could Sorcerer Weekly really be telling the truth? They could have written about him and Rogue for Christ's sake. Just because they were friends didn’t mean they were fucking.
He held the paper to his face for another moment, peering at Erza. “What the hell is this?” Then he slammed it back onto the table with a disgusted flick of his wrist. If this was true, Rogue would be hurt deeply.
Her ironclad hand quickly swiped the paper back up, shoving it into her magical storage space. “I’m not usually one to get into gossip,” she paused, deciding her words very carefully, “but this definitely won’t be good for Sabertooth; whether it’s true or not.”
Sting could feel his lips curl in disgust. This could not be true in the slightest of capacities. “Erza, Yukino would never do this to Rogue. This article, is more like a shit stain. I can’t believe they would try to tear Sabertooth apart from with something like this.” His voice was filled with spite, there was no way in hell he would let something like this be published.
“Right.” Erza’s eyes flashed with regret, “I didn’t mean to insinuate anything, it’s just that this… article would boost Sorcerer Weekly’s name in the media again. And if this were to coincide with their upcoming ball, then they would get so much coverage.”
She was right. Their name had been going down ever since their first mistake -the engagement of Lyon and Meredy. Those two were never together to begin with, but the reporters believed anything that was fed to them. This announcement hurt Lyon’s relationship with Juvia, and things had been going downhill ever since. Something about two top mages -Minerva and Yukino- would not only boost their sales but put them in the spotlight once again.
But the dance was a completely different story, if this paper were was to be published before then, there would be absolutely no reason for Sabertooth to show. There would be too many questions, suspicions and judgements. They certainly didn’t need any doubt when it concerned the private lives of his guild mates. The way his mages held themselves in their personal lives, there was always going to be misgivings in life but this would put their own reputation at stake.
Sting leaned back in his chair and let out a deep sigh. He didn’t want this to affect anything but he had to face the facts. If this story was already in the works then there was no way it wouldn’t be published. “Once I get back to Azura, I’ll make sure to talk to Lucy about this. I’m going to make sure this doesn’t make the front page.”
With that said, he stood and left. There would be no other discussion about what had fallen into his hands. It was his duty to protect Rogue, and Sting wasn’t going to take any chances when it came to his heart.
Shit was going to hit the fan soon if he didn’t stop this. Maybe he could let Rogue know without telling him directly.
Rogue was assured by his best friend countless times that they didn’t have to dress for this party, yet everywhere he looked was a nice cocktail dress or a buttoned up dress shirt with slacks. Holding his glass, he nudged Sting, “I think the right phrase to use right now is ‘I told you so.’”
The blond scoffed and lifted his hands in exasperation, “That old man said it was a party. How was I supposed ta know that all these old geezers would play dress up?”
Rogue took a lengthy sip from his glass, disinterested in Sting’s whining. “We are in Era, Sting. Everything here is always held to the highest standards, so naturally, this would be turned into a cocktail party of sorts.”
“Your head is too small to hold that big of a brain. You should be guild master instead, ya know.” Rogue rolled his eyes, the first couple times Sting suggested that he should take his place as Guild Master was a good confidence booster but now it was just annoying. Though being in the holy dragon slayer’s presence was always calming to him.
Rogue was about to comment on Sting’s remark, but a woman with billowing green hair came sauntering up to the both of them. Her face was plastered with the latest makeup brands, an unruly blend of colors and foundation. He never knew if she trying to pose as a drag queen, but her blending and eyebrows were always so horrible. She was known to everyone as Sorcerer Weekly’s hottest new reporter (hot as in still in progress), Lulu Nimby. A name as ridiculous as the woman standing in front of him.
“I thought reporters weren’t allowed into prestigious establishments,” Rogue said rather sarcastically, unhappy to see her.
Overly large pink nails pulled a pass from her bra, waving it in front of him. “As always, I have a pass, Rogue Cheney. I just have a few questions for you and your partner.” Lulu’s shrill voice mockingly emphasized the last word, a pen and notepad appearing in her hand.
Sting beat him to the punch, “Get outta here. If we were interested in answering questions we woulda’ve come right to Sorcerer Weekly.” His blue eyes flashed with dislike and hesitance, that was certainly odd.
“Oh, please,” she dragged out, those same pink acrylics flashing in the dim lighting. “I only have a single question. It won’t take long, I swear on it.”
Even though it was only once question - and seriously, how bad could that be? Sting interjected once again. “Nope! We aren’t accepting any questions at the moment. I'll only repeat myself once, get outta here Nimby.” Sting’s over-protectiveness was catching Rogue off-guard.
As nicely as possible, Rogue nudged Sting.. “I can take a question, but there won’t be any follow-ups. You better make this one question count. Knowing you, I can tell you came prepared with far too many.”
A pleased smile formed on her lips as she flipped through her pink notepad. “No, it’s ok, I really did just have one question.” Her eyes lit up with a mischievous deviance once she stopped flipping through the pad. “I just wanted to know how your anniversary with Yukino went. I assume you two went out before you came to Era with Sting.”
Sting looked at Rogue, his gaze sending an unsettling feeling down his spine. “Ya really don’t have ta answer this. You know they’re just going to make it something more than it is.”
The blond wasn’t wrong, but it would look worse if he didn’t answer. Rogue completely downed the rest of his drink, the question making a jab at his heart. Setting the glass down, he answered truthfully. “We didn’t do anything, our train ride was scheduled midday. I did make her some breakfast, even if I failed miserably.”
His comment gained a fit of giggles from the green haired reporter, her pen scribbling away at the small pad. “Uh huh… Anything else you want to let me know? Like morning time loving, or the gift you bought her?” Lulu sounded like she was on top of the world with the information she just gained.
“No follow-up questions,” the shadow slayer completely dismissed her. Rogue really wasn’t interested in what was to come from this, and he took another glass of champagne from a passing server. “I’m sure you have other people to interrogate.”
Her red contacts masked her disapproval, and she frowned. “Be like that then, I guess I do have other people to get the scoop on.” Her ridiculous heels clacked crudely, hardly blending in with the crowd as she walked away.
“I think we should leave…” Glancing over Sting, the dark haired mage could tell he was anxious about something.
Rogue nodded, making his way toward the bar’s doors. “It is getting very stuffy, I think I’m going to take a breather. You look like you could do with some fresh air too.”
Sting nodded and quickly pushed through the doors, the cool November air enveloping the duo almost immediately. The night was far from being young, the bright street lamps lighting their way to the hotel. Era was slumbering, those still awake emitting soft snores from the beast of a city. Walking along the cobblestone path, small puddles of water whispered to the sky and called for a greater fulfillment. Large gray clouds forming over the city, hiding the jewels of the sky. Not one bright diamond shining beyond those dull walls. He wished they would bring him another form of comfort, the darkness filling his thoughts with doubt.
He followed Sting, but soon realized that they were not on track to their assumed destination. He was leading them somewhere far from their hotel room. The blond was a good distance ahead of him, his feet eagerly yearning for a place that wasn’t made of stone. “Sting…” He quietly called, setting his pace faster.
The orange rays of the burning street lamp tinted his hair a melodramatic yellow, Sting huffing as he stood still. Rogue, brushed his hand against the man’s shoulder grazing the small tendrils of hair on the back of his neck. He could feel the blond shudder, shakily intaking a small breath.
In a soft tone Rogue spoke again, “Are you ok? You seem to be going for more than a walk.” It was always common for Sting to go for a stroll in order to get his frustrations out but this was much more than usual.
The smallest inclination of Sting’s head was his agreement. “I’m fine. I’m just taking you ta this place I found earlier this week.” His voice wasn’t lively, it had taken on the toll of recent events.
“Alright.” His blue satin gloved hand was open, Rogue’s own hand itching to fill the emptiness. He reached out, but Sting began to walk again. “Where are you taking us then?”
“You’ll see,” now Sting held a small amount of playfulness in his tone.
Rogue was surprised when he was led beyond the streets of Era. The serenity of the surrounding forest filled him with a calmness, the leafy boughs singing soft melodies with the accompanying winds. Enchanted with a dark green shine, small june bugs lighting their path up a lofty hill. On top the sky had opened up, the stars shining down on them. Brightly they twinkled, welcoming the duo in their holy presence. Sting smiled just as wide as those sparkling jewels, his expression more beautiful than anything Rogue had seen before.
The said man turned and gestured to the grass, “You wanna sit for a bit? I had a feeling that you might like it up here.” The stars reminded him of Yukino, but he pushed her from his thoughts.
Tugging the small string situated around his neck, his cape came undone. Rogue laid the fabric on the grass and sat upon it, patting the space next to him for Sting. “You’re like a magnet to these types of places.” Rogue chuckled, warmth spreading through his side as Sting plopped down.
“Nah, I think I just have the knack for finding beautiful places, things too. The shinier the better.” They both were now laughing, the air warming up too. Sting nudged Rogue, his finger pointing to the sky. “Like those stars, I think you call that one the little dipper.”
He shook his head, “No that’s the big dipper. You see how the smaller spoon is under it?” Rogue used his hand to point out the two constellations (the only two he could identify). He had amassed knowledge galore, but his interest had never lain in the stars -only the one next to him.
In awe, Sting grinned and pointed at another set of jumbled fragments of white jewels. “Ya know what that one is then? It kinda looks like a man.”
Rogue couldn’t really see anything, blaming his inactive imagination . It was rude to point at people, but if it looked like a man… He believed Yukino mentioned him once. “I think you may be talking about Hercules.” The only Greek hero to be put in the night sky, as legend had it. Someday he wished to be recognized in such a way.
Sting brushed against him as he sat back, head tilted up to the embroidered firmament. His blue eyes closed, a small hum of delight coming from his throat. Those same stars illuminating his tanned skin, making him glow. An ethereal being in his presence, someone so far from his touch but so close.
“You ever take Yukino to a place like this? I bet she would love it.”
The words rolled off his tongue so casually, the atmosphere seeming to heat up, a small burn rising in Rogue. The shadow slayer shifted to give them some much needed space, the stars dimming from the question.
“No, I don’t believe so. We went to a museum once…” He took Yukino wherever they wanted to go, she didn’t ever mention sitting under the stars. Maybe he should have asked, she really would have loved this. He grimaced and shoved his hands into his lap, the itch growing greater.
That same gloved hand taunting him by being placed so close to his leg. The tanned skin then flashed to a much more slim and pale hand, one he knew so well. Those hands had touched him in the most affectionate and sensual ways possible, there was no way he could betray them. But when he looked up at the stars, he felt a tug he had never felt before. Something that assured him of different possibilities.
All their luminescence was cascading onto Sting, feeding into him as a great spotlight. Sting coated in the cheerful cries that hailed from the large sky, a lackadaisical smile swiped across his mouth. He was basking in their light much as Rogue was from their absence.
Beautiful…
A serene expression a mask until those blue eyes bored into his own. Sting grinned and waved his hand in front of Rogue’s face. “Cat got your tongue? You started to stare off into space all the sudden.”
Caught in the act, his cheeks were buzzing to life and he shook his head. “Sorry, you just made me think of Yukino.” No, it was the two of them but this wasn’t the time to complicate the situation. The train ride was a rollercoaster of emotions, he couldn’t face those feelings again right now.
Sting’s face went unreadable, and Rogue internally cringed. The blond turned away in deep thought, still bathing in the night’s light. “Ya ever believe people could be written in the stars?”
Every internal alarm was set off, Rogue’s entire being frazzled by his inquiry. Sting wasn’t so articulate, but he knew exactly what the holy slayer meant. Looking back up to the sky, the burnette dwelled on the question. He was never much of a romantic, so he never thought of such stereotypical ideas. It was mind-boggling that it was presented to him in the first place, Yukino never mentioned anything like this before.
Now the cat really had his tongue. “Uhm… In this magic filled world, maybe.” His answer was broad, but he didn’t want Sting to get the wrong idea.
“I think it’s a yes or no question, Rogue.”
He was foolish to think Sting would take what was originally given. He always pushed for more and that was one thing he loved about him. Desire, passion, a fire that was always burning… things that were lost to him and Yukino.
“There is a possibility…” Who was he kidding? “Actually, I believe it can be true.” Rogue smiled, his body surging with a happiness he never had known.
Sting had the same look on his face, love sweeping down from it’s high position. The two had fallen from those glittering jewels from above, this he knew to be true.
“Someday people will see the two of us up there.” Sting proclaimed, standing with those same stars by his sides.
Rogue nodded, a pleasant silence accompanying them as they meandered their way through the streets of Era. Coming to the consoling darkness of their once empty hotel room. The night was dark and light, much as the magics contained within the two mages.
