I am so now looking out for your posts to know how the story ended
now trying to decide what to read next. it's between Yume by Sifton Tracey Anipare and the A anthology by Jeff Vandermeer. I kind of want to do the Vandermeer bc I have no plans for the weekend (might not even have the usual Sunday dinner with the parents bc they've got terrible colds) and I can go Full Fucked Up Science Fiction Brainrot about it.
.....tbh I think I just want to read Yume so I can buy Japanese takeout with the excuse of taking cute book photos....

Had a dream that was set in my library AU. A quick explanation is that it’s a more “What if Beanstalked was written in a more film friendly format” so everyone resides in a book in a library and when it closes, everyone can come out and interact with other characters. Kinda like the arcade in Wreck it Ralph.
Jack had to attend a ball event celebrating various fairy tales and he met up with Pinokuni who obviously did not wanna be there.
They talked for a bit while leaning up against a wall as to stay out of the limelight. Jack was fully participating in the convo at first...
And then Najla walked in wearing a white and red rose themed dress. I think my dream set this party soon after Najla's book arrived at the library so she didn't truly know anyone yet because she was having hella social anxiety and simply made her way over to some steps and sat down with full plans of just staying there and leaving the second everything finished.
Jack was hella mesmerized as she walked past so everything Pinokuni was saying went into one ear and out the other and he practically became white noise to him.
Pin immediately noticed and was about to get pissed and go off on Jack but then he saw his dazed expression and followed his heart eyes to Najla and immediately understood.
And then immediately proceeded to pick on him about it.
“You like Little Red Riding Hood, don’t you?”
“W-Wha! No I just really like the dress she h-has on. Nice designs and all that-”
“You’re a shit liar, Jackass. But seeing as I have completely lost your attention, you might as well head over there and say hi.”
“W-wait aren’t you gonna come with me?”
“PFFT-Hell naw! Payback for your ass not listening to me! Besides, I gotta go find Ashe and Kai so you on your own."
Pinokuni did a little smug two finger salute before he twisted on his heel and walked off leaving Jack with his task of talking to his crush.
Eventually he made his way over even though he practically paused every other step to hype himself up.
It took him awhile but he finally made it to Najla and tried to greet her but his voice cracked. Which def caught her attention but Jack was bright red and embaressed.
"Ah, you're the tale that gave me the tour."
"Y-you remember me?"
"Of course." And then she gave a smile and Jack's heartbeat became 10x more audible.
"How are you enjoying the ball?"
"The music is alright. A bit too fancy but eh. Could be worse. "
"Um...are you hungry? There's a snack table where I could get you something."
" Tempting but I'm not all too hungry right now..."
" Ah. Well lemme know if you need any snacks!
Najla let out a giggle and her posture became less tense as she relaxed a bit.
"Are you normally this nice to new fables?
Jack's blush only darkened as Najla was piecing his behaviour together and snitched a bit on himself.
"I just saw you all by yourself over here and didn't want you to feel left out."
Najla's cheeks turned a light tent of red.
"Well...I would feel less left out of you sat beside me instead of standing a feet or two away."
And farm boy plopped right on down beside her...with enough space for like 2 people to sit between them and Najla closed the space via scooting up beside him.
And they just spent the rest of the ball talking and cracking jokes to each other.
They actually had more fun than dancing on the floor for once which I think is cute af because bonding through just enjoying the other's company is underated.

Me on public transportation
Sitting on a bus. I have two books in my backpack but I'm too lazy to reach for them. Guy next to me is reading a book. Start reading his book. Get upset because he's a slow reader and I have to wait for him to finish and turn the page.

5 Ways to Get Your Kids Excited About Summer Reading - Eye Level East Cobb
Overview
It may be challenging to persuade your child to read when the sun is shining, or friends visit. However, the open days of summer provide a fantastic opportunity for your youngster to discover the book genres and themes that interest them the most. You can see when the time of day is optimal for getting in those 20 minutes of daily reading, and you can assist your child in identifying any reading abilities that need to be improved. Make your child join Eye Level East Cobb summer camp, and we make study fun for your child.
Making a wide range of books available to your young reader is one excellent method to help them find the perfect book. Here are five more guaranteed strategies to inspire your kids to read this summer with Eye Level.
Make Reading A Regular Component Of Your Routine
It's challenging to stick to a schedule in the summer, but it's critical to build a reading routine, especially if you want to foster a habit that will lead to a love of reading. If your child goes camping every day, read your "downtime" in the evening: the whole family may read together, aloud or silently. If your child spends most of the day at sports practice, get them up a half-hour earlier and encourage them to start the day by reading, maybe over breakfast.
If your family enjoys the freedom of summer, make reading time that crucial hour after lunch, when everyone needs to recover before the second half of the day.
The Reading Materials Should Be Varied
Reading counts even if children do not read books every day throughout the summer. Consider carrying a stack of magazines in the vehicle, on the plane, to the pool, or on the beach – practically wherever kids could grow bored and want to read a few pages.
Newspapers are another excellent source of knowledge that stimulates children's thoughts. Consider a summer or weekend membership so that your child may keep up with local, national, and international news and learn about a range of other topics that you think are acceptable for their age. Later, they will reassemble to discuss what they have read.
Keep your phone away from you.
Avoiding your phone is also a distraction. Put your phone on mute, turn off the alarms, and flip it around so you can't even SEE them, or simply turn it off! Place the phone out of sight if it helps, so you're not tempted to check your messages.
Join Eye Level East Cobb Camp
Reading challenges are prevalent throughout the summer, and they do work for some kids. Struggling readers, in particular, might benefit from the extra motivation to take up a book.
At Eye Level, summer camp makes your family a reading challenge, such as reading a specific amount of books before going on a weekend excursion. However, reading books does not have to be the aim. You may keep track of the number of hours or chapters read, magazine articles read, or series finished – whatever inspires your reader!
Talk About Their Books
Talking with your child about their books shows that you care about their opinions and feelings. It's also an excellent approach to see how well they understand what they're reading.
There are other methods to start talks about beloved books outside your one-on-one. You can assist your kid in forming a summer book club with their friends, who can choose an appropriate number of novels to read during the summer and meet regularly to discuss their progress.
Get Stuck In English Classes For Kids
Eye-Level makes English classes for kids easy. The easiest method to get youngsters interested in reading is to pair them with a favorite book series. They'll be compelled to read more because they'll want to learn everything they can about a subject or follow their favorite characters through each adventure that's been published.
Read the first book with your child if they are a struggling or uninterested reader. Your youngster could pick up the book on their own before you realize it to move ahead!
If you search for "Math and English classes near me," you come to the right place. Eye Level provides the best Math and English classes for your kids.

The stories in Ellen Klages’ WICKED WONDERS just sit right in their strangeness
With less than a month until publication, excitement mounts for Ellen Klages WICKED WONDERS.
Photo: Scott R. Kline
On BOOKSTALKER BLOG, Lolly K Dandeneau enjoys the collection.
I enjoyed the originality of this collection. So many lyrical/magical stories try too hard, just throwing in weird happenings for the sake of being weird. Not so here. They aren’t outlandish in the telling-they sit just right in their strangeness.
Joe Sherry at NERDS OF A FEATHER, FLOCK TOGETHER is looking forward to the book.
Ten years ago Ellen Klages published her debut collection PORTABLE CHILDHOODS with Tachyon and it was wonderful and delightful and a treat to read. WICKED WONDERS marks the second collection from Klages and I can't wait to read it!
SF BLUESTOCKING includes the volume on their Spring Reading List.
Klages’ Tor.com novella, PASSING STRANGE, was wonderful, so I’m looking forward to checking out more of her short fiction.

A Review: Segitiga Tanpa Sisi by Melia Lustojoputro
Kalau kau suka genre-genre seperti itu, aku sangat menyarankan agar kau segera bergegas ke toko buku and grab this book. Bagiku endingnya tidak ketebak, sama sekali, tapi masih masuk dalam kategori masuk akal. Hal yang mengejutkan lainnya adalah, ternyata novel ini trilogy. I can’t wait to read the next series! I definetly love this book.
