we replaced our second hand walmart futon with a futon we got from my parents when my brother moved out (i think we’re it’s third owner now? they found it at an estate sale). its this slatted design made up of solid wooden boards, and the back of it lays back at a few different angles like a beach chair with a couple of notches it slots into.
my new favorite nap setup is to set it to the lowest slot so it’s leaned back, pop my feet up on the ottoman, turn on our fake fireplace heater, and curl up with this massive purple quilt i got at my local anarchist free store a few years back. poor man’s heaven.

Stores I’m taking the TWST boys to and why (brutal)
Cw: light bullying of every boy and half of the stores. Also crackfic material
Tumblr media
I’m taking Ace, Deuce, and Grim to Walmart at 3AM. That’s where you go to ride a child’s bicycle, cry in the cereal aisle, and play with toys that you don’t intend to buy and not worry about getting kicked out or banned. It is the only store safe for the braincell trio to go
I’m taking Cater to Starbucks so he can buy a $7 drink and post a picture of it on magicam. Then I’m taking him to therapy
I’m taking Trey to sur la table because he can behave and I think he’d like looking at kitchen equipment like a single 40 year old dad. He and I have to go alone though because I trust him not to get me banned but I don’t trust him not to spend all my money
Riddle is going to Barnes and noble and I’m sitting in the kids section reading picture books while he goes through every single bookshelf. After I run out of picture books I’m sitting in the Starbucks. He’s halfway through the store and moving at a snails pace. Ends up picking out one book so I buy him that and one of the really cute plushies they keep near the kids stuff
I’m taking Leona to the pound target and I’m making him guess how much basic household items are. He will fail and I will laugh at him and shame him
Ruggie and Jack are going to five below. I give them each $25 and tell them to go wild. Jack brings back plant holders and squishmallows while Ruggie has filled a cart with $25 of food and a sleep mask. Now every time we pass a five below they both beg to go in there.
I’m taking Jade to world market because a) they have cute mushroom mugs and soup careens, and b) exotic snacks. He will drain my bank account and I will let him. I am a complete simp for this man
I’m taking Floyd and rook to bass pro shop. We are forcibly removed from bass pro shop after Floyd throws a basketball at a workers face and rook shoots an arrow and almost hits another customer.
I’m taking Azul to ikea. He said he’s really passionate about interior design and likes clean looking spaces so I’m taking him to ikea. I will force him to eat a Swedish meatball. We end up buying pillows and also dunkleskög (we have shared custody of him)
Im taking Kalim to hot topic. He is intimidated but then he sees Sanrio shit and he is THERE bro he falls in love so fast with that little frog thing. End up buying matching best friend bracelets for both me and him and also for him and Jamil
Im telling Jamil that I’m taking him to the grocery store but in reality I’ve stolen his grocery list and I’m leaving him at therapy for an hour. I buy the groceries and drink coffee until he’s done and then we go home. I sleep with one eye open because this boy is anti self care with a passion
Vil and I are going to hobby lobby and stealing materials for Vil’s next film project. We don’t even pretend to hide them and the workers literally don’t care. Vil curses one of the cash registers and doesn’t tell anyone which one, just that he did it. The workers still don’t care because working at hobby lobby is a curse in itself.
It’s not a store but I’m taking Epel to the farmers market. He’s given $20 and ends up coming back with three heads of lettuce, a bushel of apples, two jars of jam, a jug of honey, and $34. I ask no questions and we go home to make an apple galette.
Idia and ortho are going to GameStop. Idia gets in a fistfight with a normie and is immediately hired by GameStop. Ortho comes out crying because he’s proud of Idia for making a friend
I’m taking Silver to a mattress store. We take a nap and get locked inside the building until morning. Spend the night talking and drinking the free coffee. We are banned upon the store opening the next morning (the coffee wasn’t free and we didn’t call anyone to get out)
I’m taking Sebek to a Jamba juice. Not technically a store, but he can yell as loud as he wants and it doesn’t bother anyone
I take Lilia to a guitar store. He plays an amazing ballad on a $4000 bass, then smashes it at the end. We are banned and being sued by the guitar store.
I take malleus to forever 21. He turns into a dragon and kills me
Malleus (real) I take him to lush and he picks out some bathbombs. Now the dragon smells like patchouli and lavender. Neat! And some of the workers there recognized him as a princ-

schrucy + selected questions from that otp ask meme
1. Who wakes up first?
lucy for sure. she's an early bird. she willingly got up at 4am to skate w snoopy multiple times. schroeder sleeps tf IN
4. When they can’t sleep, what do they do?
lucy watches television and schroeder prob plays piano. the3yre pretty independent activity-wise
7. Who comes up with the cheesy pick-up lines?
oh lucy for sure. it's her biggest hobby. she tries to get schroeder to blush instead of rolling his eyes. she has about a 10% success rate but when it lands it's well worth it
11. Who rearranges the bookshelf/DVD shelf in alphabetical order?
schroeder has a system for organizing his records and sheet music that lucy doesn't even attempt to understand
12. Who does the hands-over-the-eyes “Guess Who” thing?
lucy for sure and she thinks she's being cute but it drives him nuts bc he's like "it's so obviously you, lucy"
14. Who’s prone to road rage?
lucy is prone to rage of every kind :)
18. Who gets the window seat?
schroeder likes the window seat better because staring out the window autism (tm) and lucy likes the aisle so she can stretch her elbows out
20. What do they argue about the most?
literally everything. once they mature, its mostly fake arguments, but literally everything. it's how they talk and communicate it's like breathing
23. Who is better with kids?
lucy surprisingly. schroeder just kinda doesn't know what to do with any child but his own son. meanwhile lucy talks to children the same way she would talk to an adult and it makes them feel respected so conversation is easy
24. Who’s the better cook?
they both kind of hate cooking and when they're rich and famous they have a chef. before that it's a lot of microwave food.
29. Who licks the spoon when they’re baking brownies?
lucy says it's her god given right as God's cutest soldier to lick the spoon
32. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
schroeder remembers lucy's order at the local hamburger joint one day and she melts and thinks it's the sweetest thing ever. he makes a point to remember as much as he can after that but he pretends like he doesn't
33. How do they eat ice cream? What’s their favorite flavors?
lucy likes one scoop of chocolate and one scoop of vanilla and schroeder doesn't like ice cream at all because it's too cold
34. Do they go on dates? What are they like?
only once they start going steady in high school, and really it's just a continuation of their normal hanging out dynamic. talking and arguing about random shit while theyre doing something else. lucy is like "we're on a date you're supposed to hold my hand" and schroeders like "doesn't it kind of ruin it if you have to tell me to do it. shouldn't it just happen naturally" and shes like "well i don't see you making any moves" he just legit didnt think about it any more than normal
36. Which one is the secret snuggler?
schroeder isn't big on pda but once they're dating he is SOOOO clingy and doting when they're by themselves. asking her to sit with him at his piano kissing the top of her head playing songs for her. lucy is pretty consistent with affection no matter where she is
38. Who reaches for the other one’s hand while driving?
schroeder Cannot Drive so he rides with lucy places and she tries to hold his hand and hes like FOCUS ON DRIVING. TEN AND TWO!!!
40. Who is the most affectionate?
like i said two questions back, lucy is consistent all the time, but schroeder has different levels of affection depending on the situation. lucy will hang off his arm both in the middle of walmart and at home but he refuses to play the song he wrote for her for literally anyone else bc its HERS not THEIRS
43. What is the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
there's a lot more smiling in between verbal barbs. just lots and lots of smiling
44. What are their nicknames for each other?
dear heart is lucy's pet name for schroeder from one of the funniest schrucy arcs in the strip. and schroeder calls her sweet baby when shes pretending to be asleep so he'll dote on her. it's an elaborate chess game of affection they play
48. Who tells their friends/family about their relationship first?
oh the MORNING after they start dating lucy is telling violet and patty a dramatized version of how they got together. schroeder doesn't think to bring it up to anyone unless they ask. charlie brown doesn't even realize it happened until after he has 2 classes with schroeder and they see lucy at lunch

online shopping
To be honest, I don't really care for online shopping. A million little neurons fire off in my brain when I give someone money and they give me an object instantly. Who I was with, how I looked when I first tried it on, what I felt when I first tasted it, how much of a bargain it was, the feel of seams on my fingers or the weight of deckled pages in my hands, the caution I threw to the winds or the impulse that I permitted to seize me all combine in a few seconds to inject one simple emotion into my simple brain: buying shit feels good. Until recently, online shopping was utterly devoid of any positive emotion for me. I don't like computers, and they particularly irk me when they ask me to punch my credit card number or (worse) save it. I don't like waiting for boxes to arrive or dealing with going to the post office to pick them up or the endless amounts of recycling I'm going to have to do. I also absolutely do not have the time or the will or the discipline to return roughly half of what I buy because I'm picky and women's sizing for anything is a hot mess, so piles of unwanted shit pile up in my tiny apartment taking up valuable real estate. So I generally go out of my way to avoid the whole business of it all.
For the first few months of the quarantine, I lived like a purist, buying only what I absolutely needed to online. Unfortunately for me, I was living in an unfurnished apartment (the sum total of the furniture I owned was a mattress, a shitty dollar walmart desk, and a shittier dollar walmart chair) so I actually needed to buy a lot of stuff and I dragged my feet miserably through it all. It took me weeks to pick out basic white Crate & Barrel plates for my kitchen, another few months before I committed to a bookshelf that held only about a third of the books I own, and far too long to buy a bed frame. The worst crime of all was my sofa; when I think about how many months I lived with only my mattress or my floor to sit on, I genuinely wonder how far my propensity for masochism can truly go.  Ordering my groceries online was simply out of the question, I remained staunchly devoted to buying them in store even when I had to wait 40 minutes in line for my turn.
Soon, the early alarming but novel weeks of covid gave way to the later mundane, claustrophobic ones. After a few weeks of regularly working out, I realized that there was no world for me to emerge into with my newer, hotter body. The comfort I got from my group chats and zoom hangouts soon petered out, and I returned to cooking my usual 20 minute weeknight meals. Stuck in a new apartment, in a new city, without a car (I can't even drive so this is actually moot tbh) my world quietly shrunk to the 600 odd square feet of hastily, partially furnished space I could call my own (now shared with a sibling) and a few blocks in either direction. I wore the same clothes, called the same people, walked the same walk, shopped at the same Shoppers, made the same complaints and wallowed in the same worries, and then I woke up and I did it all over again.
And then I decided that it was time for something new, and I've been searching for newness ever since. A "resurfacing" night cream that promised to make my skin brighter. A houndstooth blazer from an online vintage store that fit like it was tailored for me. A monstera plant that unfurled leaf after leaf under my distracted care before I finally succeeded in killing it. A bluetooth speaker to fill my home with the sound of qawwalis my dad taught me to love. The boxes would arrive days, sometimes weeks after I make the actual purchase, feeling more like a gift from an unknown benefactor than something I furtively paid for. I used to dislike online shopping for its delayed gratification, but soon began to covet it for exactly that reason, like the steady cadence of a few minutes of excitement made me feel like I was accomplishing the impossible task of feeling an emotion. A cheap rug. An expensive sofa. Baking equipment. Painting equipment. Exercise equipment. Books about best friendship, books about love, about a dying earth and dying mothers, set in Syria and Detroit, Naples and Busan, some devoured, some discarded, all read in hot pursuit of staving off how utterly dead I felt on the inside. Each box that landed on my doorstep neatly filled a hole in my life, a void that never seemed to shrink.
It felt reckless and frivolous—childish even—to allow myself to keep getting things that would make me happy. It contradicted everything I wanted to believe about myself: that I was unaffected by anything money could buy, able to achieve complete inner peace by simply "thinking good thoughts", and minimalist to my core. How positively pathetic of me, I'd think, to need a "thing" or an "item" to be able to feel happiness. Even as I searched within myself for gratitude at my good fortune, my good health, I often came up empty, and the answers to all my questions seemed for lie, for however brief a moment, in whatever Instagram thought I should buy that week, silently delivered in recyclable packaging, with a return label and a promise of brief delight.
Most people my age, my peers haven't lived through an event as seismic as this. The idea that life being irreversibly changed even after this, that it already has changed feels alien to me, a square peg trying to jam itself into the round hold where my brain used to be. Life as it used to be feels right around the corner, just a week away, just a month away, just a season away, and soon, I tell myself, I will get back the normalcy of buying four americanos in three hours to keep my internet access at the cafe I've been working at, the fun in an afternoon spent mindlessly window shopping, the stupid joy in dancing the night away in a sweet and sticky club, the relief in resting my head against the shoulder of a friend, the discomfort of getting on the subway at rush hour, the ordeal of a 15 hour flight home to see my little sister.
I lost family members this year, and I spend my weekends flitting between my numb grief and a website that sells silk pyjama sets. Sometimes, I don't speak to my father for days, afraid that he might see right through my false cheer. Sending him pictures of the first snow, my meals and paintings seems enough to me. Lately I've been waking up from dreams that range from bad to fully qualified nightmares about my mom's health. I haven't seen her in nineteen months. I ruminate over where I want to live, if I want children, who I want them with, new questions that have cropped up and firmly planted themselves on my brain. I find myself rejecting the companionship of the friends on my phone. I want them here in Toronto, so we can laugh at the past, and marvel at the present, our warm bodies pressed against one another. And I crave the thrill of deep conversation with new people who remain interesting to me for only as long as I know nothing about them. Loneliness seems to run like a thread throughout everyone's twenties, I suppose, and I'm unable to tease out where the disorientation of being 24 ends and the isolation of living in a pandemic begins. But tangled up, they are stronger together and frighten me everyday, and I surround myself with boxes and yet more boxes to ward them off.

For about $32, I bought another cheap bookshelf at Walmart today (I have two others holding my more modern games in my living room), and, despite fucking up when putting it together (it shouldn’t have that exposed wood on part of it, so, well, fuck), it does its job of having one big top shelf and three smaller shelves below it. I don’t expect to need to buy any more than this, but there’s space there if I do.
I put my plush Jill doll from VA-11 Hall-A on it right away (she’s still in a plastic bag, because I want her to be), along with some old stuff from a box containing items from my childhood room’s shelves. This includes some trophies I won at various academic... things, I guess, I don’t know what to call them, and these three beanbag Nintendo characters from more than 20 years ago when Nintendo Power made them available one year from their holiday catalog.
Bowser is also part of that set, but he’s not here. He is, and has been, for months, here:
Tumblr media
So every time I’m in my kitchen, standing in front of my sink, I can look up and see beanbag Bowser looking down at me. This makes me happy.
I actually only bought this set of four because I wanted Bowser. After Mario 64, I became obsessed with getting my hands on a stuffed Bowser doll, and this was it, man. This was my shot. This little fucker is, hands down, the most important of the bunch. And not just by a little bit. I’d sacrifice the other three in a second if it meant getting to keep Bowser around.
I also bought another three-drawer cart, but I immediately filled it with books that were already in the room in a couple of boxes. It’s honestly kind of alarming to me that I have so many books. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am. It’s just that I kept them all tightly packed up for so long that now that I’m putting them in drawers and on shelves where I can get to each one immediately, I’m seeing just how many I really have and how much space they take up when they aren’t stacked on top of each other in ways that make most of them impossible to reach.
I mean, imagine if you had a big box of Legos, right? All stuck together? But now you want to be able to grab any one of those Legos. So you spread them all across your floor in a single layer. They’d take up a lot of space! I’m putting mine in these kinds of drawers, but it’s still a lot.
Tumblr media
The odds of me deciding that I want to reread my old volumes of Bleach or Midori Days are roughly 0%, but I own ‘em! These are my books! I gotta take responsibility for that! Kinda like that Family Guy DVD set you might be able to see in one of those drawers. I’ll never, ever watch it, but I own it.
I own a lot of other books, too! I got a shitload of Forgotten Realms books! I got over a dozen R.A. Salvatore books with Drizz’t and all his buds! I got all the Harry Potter books! I got the Lord of the Rings! I got a lot of classics! And probably half a dozen Bibles!
I ain’t sat and read a Bible in years, man. But I got ‘em! RIght now, I’m using a couple to old down the tops of the box lids for a couple of my more roughed-up figurines. You can see ‘em if you look really close in the pictures I posted earlier of the shelves with the figurines on them.
I have no interest in selling or throwing out any of this stuff. If I ever meet anybody who wants them, and who I think will keep them (or continue passing them along), I might give them away, but that’s it. That’s my only out.
Well, I just have a lot of stuff. And have, for years. The thing is, now I’m trying to spread it all out instead of packing it into half a room as tightly as I can get it, and I’m just... I’m stunned by it all. Really overwhelmed. I’m really feeling worried now about just how extremely hard it’s going to be to move out of this house with all of this extra furniture I’ve bought. Granted, it’s all been shelves and drawers, but still! I’ve bought SO MUCH.
I’ll get it figured out. I always do. Probably I will wind up throwing out a lot of stuff, even if that just means giving away these crappy bookshelves someday and putting most of these books back into boxes. Boxes with better labels. The box in that last picture just said “Graphic Novels,” so I had no idea which ones were actually in there. I’d completely forgotten that I ever owned Midori Days.
But it WAS good to see the Elfen Lied books again. I don’t know that that series ever was translated into English. About twelve years ago, I actually emailed the author of it, despite not knowing much Japanese at the time. I wrote it mostly in English, but ended by saying, in Japanese, that I liked Elfen Lied. Because I did, and I do, despite the extremely weird and off-putting diaper fetish stuff that gets worked in a few times.
It’s a thing in the manga! Be grateful they left that out of the anime adaptation, y’all!
And he actually wrote me back! It was only two sentences. A greeting, and then, “It is glad for you to come to like my comic.” Those exact words. I still remember them. That’s what Google Translate would do you for you back in those days, so I knew that he must have used it to write his letter. But that meant that he probably used it to read mine, and that made me very happy.
Dude might have a thing for grown women wearing diapers, but he’s still a class act who was very nice to me when I wrote to him, and that makes him okay in my book. And that’s the note I’ll end this post on.

Tagged by @firefeufuego for a “picture of my bookshelf.” (Thanks!) The thing is, I’ve been collecting books for roughly 20 years and for 10 of those years I mostly lived on ships where I literally had nothing else to spend my money on. No rent, no groceries, no movie theaters, no fast food, no clothes, no furniture, no personal items too big to fit in a seabag. But books I could buy and have sent to a storage unit. So when I came home, I got myself an apartment and then a bunch of bookshelves from the second hand furniture store or Walmart, and loaded them up with books and various stuff I picked up on my deployments or around the USA (I’ve moved a lot in my life). So on my shelves there is fiction (fantasy and sci fi being the favorites, although some more “classical” literature and a few modern thrillers as well), military history (heavy emphasis on WW1 and WW2), humor/joke books, gender science, psychology, space-related hypotheses, mythology, religion, philosophy, poetry (mostly English, some Spanish, some Vietnamese, a few translated Chinese), plays (mostly from the 19th-20th century), manga (look I had a powerful Naruto phase, and it never really left me), a few comics, and a ton of graphic novels (Neil Gaiman changed a lot for me). A few of these books are old as shit and out of print, but I found them in bargain bins and garage sales so hey, cheap junk to them is treasure to me.
As a side note, I’d be happy to explain any of the weird stuff on these shelves. Most of this stuff (barring the Harry Potter and Star Wars stuff, which is just pure nerdism at work) has a story attached to it.
So if you’re interested, I tag @crazy-fruit, @headinfantasy, and @ladytharen. What’s on your bookshelves?

9 Easy Indoor Plants You Can Buy Online
Tumblr media
It’s the perfect time to bring the outdoors in with some easy-to-keep-alive plants. We rounded up some of the best indoor plants that have some real moxie, need minimal watering and have flexible lighting preferences.
Most of these plants can be purchased for around $20 to $40 online from retailers like Walmart, Amazon, The Sill, Home Depot, Horti, Plants.com and Bloomscape. And if you have pets, we recommend you double-check whether the plants are safe for their species.
1. Aloe vera
Aloe plants come in many shapes and sizes, making it easy to purchase something curated to your space. It’s a succulent with southwestern vibes and a timeless look. Aloe prefers bright indirect light and needs little water. You’ll want the soil moderately dry between waterings. You can also harvest the sap for home remedies and skincare, but don’t remove more than a third of the plant if you wish to keep it alive.
2. Cactus
There are many different varieties of cactus and they’re all pretty resilient. A cactus prefers warm and sunny spaces but is low-maintenance enough to survive in most places. They need so little water that the easiest way to kill them is by overwatering. A cactus is a simple way to spice up your space a bit and is the perfect prickly pet.
3. Cast iron plant
These plants are as indestructible as their namesake. A cast iron plant can grow in a wide range of temperatures and prefers lower light. You can even leave it in a dark corner to add a pop of year-round green. The leaves are thick and deep green and the plant is overall lush. The cast iron plant grows really slowly, so you should buy it at your desired size. This is typically bigger than your average countertop plant and is best suited for a tropical touch to a living room or bedroom.
4. Hoya
Hoya plants have a unique bulbousness to their leaves. These succulents are also called wax plants because of their shiny look. They’re fast-growing and its leaves will trail or climb up to four feet long. You can plant them in a hanging basket or train them to grow up a trellis. Hoya plants will occasionally bloom fragrant flowers in small clusters, especially if you keep them in brighter light. They need little water and you’ll want to allow the soil to dry between waterings.
5. Jade
A jade plant can survive weeks to a month without water because it stores the water in the stems and leaves (common for succulents). The jade plant will basically hibernate if it doesn’t get enough water, and then rehydrate and grow once it’s watered again. It has a thick stem and the oval-shaped leaves grow in a bush-like cluster. They prefer bright sunlight and you should allow the soil to completely dry before watering. They can live for a really long time and are often passed through generations.
6. Philodendron heartleaf
As the name suggests, this plant has heart-shaped leaves and long spindly stems. It’s a durable and adaptive plant that can add a romantic touch to your home. It prefers indirect light, or bright shade, and can grow or trail its vine up to eight feet — perfect for draping over a bookshelf or dresser. The philodendron heartleaf is also easy to propagate, so you can gift a starter to friends. This plant is super cute, but kind of dangerous, as it is poisonous to pets and humans if consumed.
7. Rubber plant
The rubber plant, or rubber tree, is a dark green and modern looking plant. It has a shiny look and can complement more industrial and dark color schemes. If you don’t prune the longer stems, it can grow into an actual tree. The rubber plant prefers medium to bright light (but not direct sunlight) and limited watering. If the leaves look droopy, it may need more water. If the leaves turn yellow or brown, the plant is being overwatered.
8. Snake plant
The snake plant succulent has uniquely tall and straight stalks that make for an interesting focal point. They are extremely easy to care for, will certainly survive your two-week vacation and probably prefer you to forget about them. You also won’t have to worry about repotting to accommodate growth and can keep it in lower light. This hardy plant is also known to be an air purifier.
9. Spider plant
Spider plants are fun, bright and have an eye-catching shape. The leaves are a bouncy, long and thinly arching. Once the plant grows pretty big, the ends start sprouting baby spider plants that you can snip off and use to grow a new plant  (they resemble tiny spiders, hence the name). You can plant them in pots or in a hanging basket. The spider plant prefers indirect sunlight and cooler temperatures. This plant is also known for its air-purifying abilities.

3.10-3.14.19
Yikes, realllllly slacking. Not in just updating my blog, but in my career stuff. Still proud of the small things though!
3.10.19 - Church! Service was good. It was short cuz dad had work but the message was good. After service I immediately sat down with tita Grace in the sanctuary and we just talked about marriage, relationships, and what tita Grace experienced at work this week (concerning visiting a friend of mine). Didn’t eat btw cuz we were so engrossed in talking. Ate some chicken and talked to tita connie for a little bit. Then I played with Rosita, Gabe and Mary Grace. After that we went homeee. Played Mario Party and still lost to Marvin lol Went to bed early lol But got to talk to dad on the phone from 12:40-1:00 am about cars before really shutting my eyes lol
3.11.19 - Happy Birthday Marvin!!! <33 Today, Marv turns 18 :’D Where did the time go? Woke up a bit late-ish. Didn’t get to greet Marv cuz he had school. Ate a light breakfast and then at around 3 got ready to pick up Marv and go to Leo’s. Manong couldn’t join us for dinner today because he had work and school. Anywho, mom, dad, manang and I picked up Marv and went straight to Leo’s on Telegraph near southland mall. Waited a bit in the parking lot for ne but then went inside to get a table. Sat down and maybe 10 minutes later Ne came. We ordered our food then ne told us that Toto was coming. Honestly I was so bummed when I heard that. Everyone was taken by surprised. She casually says, “Toto is coming. He’s on his way. He’s almost here” like it’s no big deal and proceeds to call him to ask for his order which takes like 6 minutes! Ends up ordering him a steak dinner. Anywho, it was just so awkward. No one was happy during the dinner, or at least manang, Marv and I. After Leo’s we went to the mall to walk it off and we just vented (Marv, manang and I) to each other at how disappointing that was. And also very rude. Like, Ne couldn’t have given us a heads up? And also, it’s Marvin’s birthday. He didn’t ask for him to come. Marv told us that that ruined the dinner. We all basically lost our appetites that day. Well whatever. Manang Marv and I didn’t buy anything at the mall other than some Froyo from Pinkberry. We also walked to Disc Replay but didn’t find anything. Went back to the car where dad was sleeping and about 20 minutes later mom comes and we leave (thank God). At home we took pics with Marvin, and then just sat around until Manong came home. Once manong came home we gave Marv his presents. He loved my toilet mug xD LOL He seemed a little disappointed at what he got (?) (Manang gave him Reese’s which was planned a long time ago when we bought it, but she bought Marv a game Capture that was on the hill so we couldn’t get it the day of), and manong got him Persona 5 on the PS4, and mom and dad got him $. lol After that I went to bed. Was so tired!
3.12.19 - Tuesday! Dad has work and everyone else lol. Got up and made dad’s shake, did some laundry, ironed dad’s uniform, and prepared dad’s lunch. Was gonna do the dishes but put them aside for later. Picked up Marv and manang then stopped by the hill so manang could get her gift that she ordered for Marv. Then went to Walmart in Woodhaven. Refilled the water jugs and got a few things but also picked up our online order for the other end of the bookshelf (since mom likes that as the TV stand rather than the IKEA one we got). Stopped by Ne’s to return some pots and pans but she didn’t answer her phone. Went home and I helped mom cut veggies for the pinakbet. Then I assebled the 2 box organizer and removed everything from the TV stand and bookshelf. After switching things up and then adding the legs on the IKEA stand, we decided (5 against 1) that the IKEA stand with the legs was wayyyyy better. Even Messenger video-chatted dad so he could see and tell mom not to complain xD LOL After that and putting the living room back the way it was, I washed dishes while mom watched SisterRakas or something with Vice Ganda and Ai Ai. Cooked rice then went to my room around 1 a.m. xP
3.13.19 - Wednesday. Gosh I’m typing these on Pi day (3.14) but I already can’t remember what I did yesterday O_O yikes....Ok, looking through my phone and I didn’t get up until 2:40 ish. Ate with the peeps, made dad’s shake and lunch, then drank some coffee while looking at cars with dad. Did some laundry and tidied a bit. Mom went to pick up manang and Marv. Cooked some eggs and hotdogs for the sibs once they got home as well as made salad. Oh also FB, Whatsapp and IG were down all day! Like you couldn’t refresh, post, like etc. Watched an Ai Ai movie with mom again (she becomes like the president of the Philippines lol) while manang and Marv were napping. Oh also manang gave marv her gift! He loved it! He just needs a better, faster computer now lol. Mom watched the sister Rakas movie again since she fell asleep last night. After that, took a little break, then watched “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” with mom, manang, and Marv and it was good! Ligo then bed!
3.14.19 - Woke up super early today! Like 7:25 lol Got ready and went with manong and Marv. Marv got dropped off to school and then manong drove us to Mcdonalds for breakfast. Had the breakfast burrito meals. Talked a bit and then made our way to the SOS at 8:50 and there was a line already outside (since it opens at 9). There were like 20 plus people in line. I was number 79 (I believe first number was 55). Didn’t take too long to get helped, but then I had to take the written test again xD Passed it tho! Then I had to go back in line. In all it took me 3 hours :P Manong also renewed his license to get the star! Apparently starting next year if your license doesn’t have the star yo won’t be able to board a plane O_O. Anywho, after the SOS I drove home. Btw I forgot to mention manong paid for the other half of my permit fee (it costs $25, I had $12.50 ❤️) I was pretty rusty but we made it. Once I got home I went to my room and tried to nap, but couldn’t until 1. Woke up at 2:45 ish and went downstairs. Mom and dad were in their rooms so I cooked myself egg and hotdog because i was starting to get cramps and needed to eat something before I can take the medicine. Did that, made dad’s shake, and then microwaved the heat bag since I was still hurting. Sat on the couch with a blanket and watched some youtube videos. Felt good after 15 minutes sitting on the couch. Mom and I then picked up Marv. Oh btw, I didn’t mention. Todays weather was so nice! Close to 60 degrees! But it was rainy though. Still nice. Tomorrow’s gonna be cold again :P. Anywho got Marv then got manang. Went to the Target on Ford Road cuz there was just traffic everywhere. Returned the letter “G” craft thing, bought popcorn then the 3 of us just sat at the cafe waiting for mom. I ordered a venti cloud iced caramel macchiato and it was good! A lot of foam though. The guy who made it was so nice to me. I asked him how his day’s been and he said “it’s good! How about yours?” and I said it was good, especially because of the weather. Then he asked for my name and I said Mary and he was like, “nice to meet you Mary” and I said “Nice to meet you too!” I shouldve asked his name SMH i’m a failure :(( Anyway after target we stopped by the Indian store then home. At home i added more fruit to the shake I saved for mom and drank that. Then I watched Nailed it - Mexico with manang and mom. After that we watched the musical parts from Hairspray. Then I ate corn beef and rice, with a boiled egg. After preparing mom’s stuff for the mango pie, I went to my room and ended up taking a nap lol. Woke up, washed my face and brushed my teeth, then tidied up my room. Now it’s 12:41 a.m. Have a dentist appointment tomorrow! Hope it doesn’t take long.
Life, I’m lovin’ it,
Bebet
