Mcpriceley affection headcanons! (yes, these will be used in the fics I'm working on)

-Connor would call Kevin all the standard pet names (sweetheart, baby, honey, etc.), meanwhile, Kevin's main nickname for Connor is "Princess", both because he's a disney adult, and because when Connor was younger, the kids who picked on him used to call him that as an insult, and so having his boyfriend use it as a term of endearment is his way of reclaiming it.

-When Kevin is feeling overstimulated he goes to whatever room is empty and lies down. Within minutes, Connor will find him and lie on top of him (Kevin is autistic but doesn't realise, and neither of them know what a weighted blanket is but for some reason unknown to them, this helps him calm down.)

-These two can hardly keep their hands off of each other, especially Connor. They're pretty much constantly holding hands whenever they're alone. Connor takes every opportunity to touch Kevin in any way (though this one is pretty much canon already)

-They frequently share clothes (though they tell people they only do so because they have the same style). It's not uncommon to see them wearing each other's ties.

-Connor's love language is physical touch (obviously), and Kevin's is acts of service. Even after losing his faith, he's still determined to be perfect, and that includes trying constantly to be the best boyfriend he can be, in spite of how many times Connor tells him he's already effortlessly perfect.

-Kevin often tries to help Connor relieve the stress that comes from being district leader. This usually comes in the form of rubbing his back or shoulders.

-Since Kevin is a disney adult and Connor is just generally into musicals, they frequently sing to each other. Occasionally they also dance.

Why I love the headcanon that Kevin’s Father is The Mission President

Mini essay on me thinking way too deeply into this than I should be:

Firstly, I need to make it clear that traditionally, Price’s Dad, Joseph Smith, Jesus and The Mission President are played by the same guy, with the Original Broadway Cast having Lewis Cleale in all these roles.

I feel like it makes sense. Kevin’s Father being The Mission President would explain Kevin’s dedication to the church, since he grew up with TMP as his father. He would’ve been close to TMP and likely had more insight to the church than the other elders at the missionary training centre did. Kevin is dedicated to the church because he is dedicated to making his father proud. The whole mormon thing comes easier to him due to him being raised in a hyper religious setting, more so than the other elders did. It also proves an explanation for why the other elders look up to him so much and see him as the “kindest most deserving elder”. Maybe they want to get closer to him because they know about his connections with TMP, or maybe they just know how their parents always talk about Kevin Price being the perfect son, knowing he is the son of TMP. It would also explain Arnold’s Father saying that Kevin is a son any father would be proud to have. He has expectations put on him by his peers and other adults due to him being the son of TMP, and even with little insight into what Kevin is really like, other adults already put him on such a high pedestal due to his father.

It also brings a whole new outlook on Jesus and Joseph Smith. It is shown that Jesus and Joseph Smith in the musical are just how Kevin perceives them to be, especially in SMHD where Jesus is clearly Kevin’s own interpretation, and in AAP where Kevin is the one telling the story of Joseph Smith. Both of those characters looking suspiciously like his dad would make lots of sense. He looks up to his dad, and he sees his dad like some sort of prophet, especially due to his role in the church. It’s also funny to think that SMHD is about Kevin’s worst fears and guilts, and that being scolded by Jesus looking suspiciously like his father is one of his worst fears.

His fathers connections to the church would also benefit him on his mission. Maybe it’s possible that instead of heavenly father having a hand in everything, it is in fact Kevin’s dad. It’s reasonable to think that since Kevin’s Dad is the Mission President, it is possible he chose specifically to send Kevin to Uganda. Maybe he wants Kevin as far away as possible, or maybe he just trusts his son with this mission more than anyone else. This would make most sense towards the end of Act 1, when Kevin is reminded of the Mission President and makes the decision to go and talk to him about getting a transfer. He is scared, he just saw a man get shot, and he wants to go and beg his dad to let him go home. Why else would he go straight to TMP without even considering it? Would he not know how hard it is to get a transfer, and would he not be embarrassed that him, the perfect mormon boy, is begging for a transfer? It’s his father, so he feels somewhat more comfortable going to him and begging for a way out.

Anyway I think that’s it. This is much less of a theory and more of a “wow! this headcanon makes so much sense” I’ve never seen this hc in any fics, or even mentioned within the fandom, and I only started to think about it once I was listing out different casts to attach to recordings. I hope this makes at least a little bit of sense

I don't really ship churchtarts tbf and they're not fully fleshed out in my mind yet as characters so this is just mcpriceley, sorry :')

• When Kevin is upset or sad or wtv, Connor makes him a funny snack or dinner or lunch with shapes and stuff and serves it on a kid tray (Kevin owns a few Disney ones, he also probably doesn't have any real food once he lives alone)

• Connor isn't super into animated movies but Kevin only watches those (nearly), so they can never pick a movie in time. After like 10 failed movie dates they set up a jar in which they put an equal amount of movies each and randomly pick. Sometimes they settle for a Disney live action or the Spongebob Musical (they watched it way too many times)

• this is just for Kevin but I want him to be a huge Donald Duck fan. But i feel like for the longest time he'd lie and say his favourite is Mickey. (He sleeps with a old but very well loved Donald plushie and Connor teased him for the longest time about it when he discovered it)

• the first time Connor tried to take one of their kisses a little further (like touching and ...yknow. dirty stuff 🤯) Kevin got scared and panicked and started crying so Connor panicked as well and felt so bad and couldn't get Kevin to talk or stop crying so he started to cry out of panic too. He wanted to run away but he didn't have it in his heart to leave Kevin crying like this without knowing why so he calmed himself down and awkwardly calmed Kevin too. Then they talked it out and how Kevin really didn't want to do that kinda stuff and how he was sorry and if Connor wanted to leave him it was fine but Connor hugged him and told him it was ok and stuff and they could make it work anyway and yeah basically

• When Connor is on ironing duty he likes to slide notes in Kevin's shirt's pocket except one time he accidentally puts it in Poptarts' pocket and ofc it's one of the most ridiculously cheesy ones so Chris makes fun of Connor, teases him and references the note for the next 2 weeks

Also the first time Connor decides to slide a note, it's just a slightly flirty one (they're not dating or anything yet). When Kevin finds it he's in the kitchen making coffee while Church and Davis finish their breakfast, he finds it so nice and just goes (to the two elders) "Aw this note is sweet! Does Elder McKinley always make them for everyone?" and the elders just exchange a weird look and ask Kevin what note ? so Kevin just shows them and they both start laughing and Kevin's just there super confused so he takes the note back and they're like "He certainly does not make them for everyone". Later before bed he tells Arnold about it like "Elder McKinley put this note in my pocket and it's really nice but Elder Church and Elder Davis just laughed at it and said they did not get one. Did you? I don't think it's really nice of Elder McKinley to pick favourites..." and Arnold looks at the note and after a few minutes he just goes "uhm Kevin, I think Elder McKinley really has ONE favourite...and it's you" - "Aw man, but YOU are my best friend... this is awkward, i can't have TWO!" - "No, Kevin, I mean-" and that's it because Kevin is soooo oblivious it hurts

Elder Price... drunk on coffee?

I'm not really sure if it's possible or not, but I'm guessing the reason why Elder Price was "getting drunk" on coffee was that some (if not most) of the beans were past the fermentation stage.

So, that leaves us with two things...

1.) Elder Price broke two rules in one.

2.) That's one way to have Irish Coffee "Ugandan style", I guess...
