📣 SOUND ON! Hey IG fam! @boogiezone @boogiezoneutopia needs our help! The BZ community has been a place of inspiration and home for me throughout for over a decade. When I started dancing in LA , I remember looking up to the dancers in Breed, one of the first dance companies to come out of Boogiezone, and being so inspired to work harder so I could dance like them- @tu_devera @ivankoumaev @sir_twitch_alot @natgilmore @_hellovy @rooksgolla @nuggsgolla @nico_oconnor @candancebrown @elmboogie @audreybenson @joeyperiod ... and so many others . I remember crying when I saw my name on the audition list for making the OC piece in Eve ( a BZ theatrical production with @flavorfulsoul & @espinosa22 . And then making a spot on Breed! Wow ! Since then I’ve advised Elm behind the scenes and started working with @developingnextartist . #boogiezoneforever id an organization / community that spans globally , its work and influence has truly impacted so many lives ... it is so much more than just a dance studio. Boogiezone has helped launch multiple careers in the arts, moved kids to follow their passion and love, and ultimately spread soul, love, and positivity. Here's another excerpt from the book about the making of the film from director/producer @stephen_kogon (available at www.StephenKogon.com) "We originally shot this on day 4 (in March) for a montage sequence, but I didn't like my dancing enough so we re-shot it on our first pickup day (day 10) in May. Also, I thought it'd be funnier if Kit (@officialhayleyshukiar ) graded Jimmy's dancing with an emoji of a snoozing/snoring person instead of the number "4" out of "10". If we didn't need a pickup day to shoot scenes we hadn't filmed yet, this particular shot would have never been re-done. I'm glad it was." This past weekend with #Dystopia2018 was one for the books . Took me a whole week to digest and realize I am so grateful for what @boogiezoneutopia & @elmboogie are able to bring together in such a short amount of time. • I always say that @elmboogie is one to push my capacity in what I do. So go ahead and add LIGHTING DESIGNER to my resumé cas somehow ya boy managed to reprogram and operate all of the lighting the morning of the show due to some technical difficulties. Never would I have thought of this as something I’d be able to do, but when push comes to shove you either cower in a corner or you GROW! • Thank you so much to everyone that has shown love on my piece.
