Roster: Sunstorm (text only)

good news! Sunstorm is currently a wip! bad news! he’s currently a wip in the “snap victims.clip” file along with others like Overlord and Shockblast! i definitely need to rework him so don’t consider this sketch final lol

he’s from the Safeguard Aerie like Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp, transferred there with his own trine Bitstream and Hotlink from Protihex. Hotlink didn’t pass the JAAT entrance exams, and Bitstream didn’t want to apply, so Sunstorm doesn’t have his closest siblings with him. he’s doing great, though, he really enjoys the Academy and the people there. he’s one of Blurr and Makeshift’s roommates, and has made fast friends with Riptide, Aileron, and Sideways. one of the most encouraging things about the Academy for him is how it teaches religion and validates faith without using it as a tool of functionist control and guilt tripping. as someone whose faith is deeply important to him, Sunstorm has gotten used to being disappointed in priests and temple staff, but faculty like Star Saber and Wing are a breath of fresh air. overall, he’s a pretty nice kid

buuuuuuuuuut it only takes brief exposure to a power beyond his control to change that for the worse... 😬
