that one 7 tag bonniclous wanted me to do
She furrowed her eyebrows. "Fine. How are you?"
"Peachy keen." Okay, what? "You look very nice today."
That was the final straw. A compliment? She had only known this guy for a week, but knew that he didn't hand out compliments lightly. There had to be something going on, and she was going to get to the bottom of it.
Melody didn't like the way he was smiling. He looked gassy.
"Cut to the chase, Hosmer, what's up?" Mel put down her purse and crossed her legs, looking right through him.
That must have been the magic phrase, because he let out a deep sigh of relief. His body finally relaxed.
"Thank God."
