A wise man once said, “Brevity is the soul of wit.” Well, if that’s the case, judging by the length of this video these are four of the most witless clown-fools on the internet today. Mike, Jay, Jack and Rich Evans are perhaps the dumbest humans that have ever krebbed in my shorts. Hi I’m retired underground illegal casino pit boss Krebs Gorlon, and today I write to you from my home in war-torn Haiti to tell you about this newest episode of Best of the Worst. I'm farting as I type this due to the bacteria ravaging my colon, but I will try to make sense. Boy, it sure has been a long time since we’ve seen the boys watch three feature films, eh? But alas, today they are spinning the Wheel of the Worst™ again... There’s something about old, undiscovered tapes that makes my taint tingle with the titillating excitement of that first time I killed a man. Rich and Jack display a palpable level of non-excitement at this prospect in our video’s opening. Trust me, I get it. Sometimes these tapes can be a nightmare. Sometimes they can be a lot of fun though. It’s about as exciting as being forced to play a game of Russian Roulette with your precious time and sanity. Mike (the ugly fat one) appears to be the most unhinged of them all in this episode. You see Jay (the hippie clown) had haplessly purchased a case of “Hazy IPAs”. Silly little man that he is, he purchased solely on the style of the packaging. A lovely hazy as it is though. Voodoo Ranger’s Tropical Force. A product made by New Belgium brewing. Note: They are a NON-Sponsor. In fact, we’ll probably get sued showing what vile filth comes out of Mike’s mouth after drinking a dozen of these. So essentially what was cut from the video was Mike berating Jay on his foolish purchase. You see, the supply in the RLM booze fridge with thin at best. Jay bought beer cause he liked the green/yellow package design and was thrilled at the sight of a skeleton aviator on the can. What he didn’t check was the ABV, which is at a very healthy 9.5%. Mike’s been around the block a few times more than Jay so that’s the very first thing Mike checks. After our Half in the Bag “What are these super bottles?!” incident when Mike accidentally drank 9 beers that were 12%, he knows to check. ABV stands for alcohol by volume. It also stands for how soon Mike becomes a slurring monster who can’t say the word “apartment” and passes out into a bonfire suffering 2nd degree burns on his wang and dumplings – rendering all his man-parts useless. However, Mike faced a difficult choice: Deal with the unbearable state of sobriety or drink the beers that are 9.5% and hope for the best. He chose the latter. Krebs does not approve. The results will be apparent as the night goes on. In the end though, what we have here is another classic Wheel of the Worst. So settle in for the next 90 minutes with your favorite beverage and snack and prepare to laugh, cry, and soil yourself with laughter that will give you nightmares for the rest of your sad lives.

Saugatuck Brewing Company celebrates the release of Rainbow Rodeo IPA, by also including it in their "A Trip to the Art Coast" variety pack.
Tumblr media
Press Release
Saugatuck, MI – Saugatuck Brewing Company (SBC) is doubling down on its tasty new product releases this year aimed at meeting the growing demands of its customers and the craft beer market. With the Rainbow Rodeo IPA, SBC has cast a line of citrus, tropical and piney notes with enough body to make a splash, yet maintain an easy drinking, great bucking IPA. This IPA follows the release earlier this year of Lake Street Lager, a light bodied crisp and clean American lager for any occasion that is making its way to everyone's cooler for spring.
“We adapted techniques from brewing traditional Midwest IPAs and modern IPAs to create Rainbow Rodeo which embraces the best characteristics of each,” said Head Brewer Matt Alderink. “It is classic Midwest malt backbone with modern juicy mouthfeel and bitterness.”
Rainbow Rodeo IPA pays homage to its home state of Michigan’s reputation as a fly-fishing mecca for rainbow trout and rich heritage of farming. SBC’s brew masters baited Rainbow Rodeo IPA with malts of Two Row, Caramel 60, White Wheat and Flaked Oats coupled with Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade and Columbus hops. It weighs in at 7.0% ABV and 60 IBUs.
“Our Rainbow Rodeo IPA is produced to be a bright and easy-drinking American IPA, with a creative can that hooks you when you see it on the shelf. This new staple has been added to our mainstay lineup and our new variety pack, A Trip to the Art Coast, that includes other must-have styles. We see the Rainbow Rodeo artwork as a portal into a wild world of hops, where cowgirls wrangle in large rainbow trout, upending the idea that only men enjoy fishing and beer. You have to admit, she’s pretty badass, and so is what’s inside the can,” said Sara VanSplinter, Director of Marketing.
SBC’s new A Trip to the Art Coast Variety Pack includes the two new releases, Rainbow Rodeo IPA and Lake Street Lager, along with the Bonfire Brown and Vienna Lager. Vienna Lager is currently only available in the Variety Pack. The Variety Pack is available in 12-packs, with three 12 oz cans of each style.
SBC is planning a series of release parties for the Rainbow Rodeo IPA at their three locations, complete with a featured smoked trout dip special, custom playing cards to play a little Go Fish, live music and more. World’s first LGBTQ+ alcohol-free brew-masters are making an impact
In the U.K., a couple of unconventional brew masters have shot to the top of the non-alcoholic craft beer business with their Drop Bear Beer Company and some fresh takes on stouts, lagers, and pale ales. Based in Swansea, Wales, Joelle Drummond and her wife Sarah are defying the stereotypes associated with craft beer, from the products they’re creating to how they run their workplace — not to mention what typical British brew-masters look like. “I believe from all the research I’ve been able to do that we’re actually the world’s first LGBTQ+ alcohol-free brewery,” Drummond told Pink News. The couple concocted their first home brew in 2019 and made a decision early on to “live by their values” as they built Drop Bear, which is available throughout the U.K. and in Canada and New Zealand. “I’ve been constantly searching for ways that we can help more in a really impactful way, with conversation, visibility, and awareness,” Drummond said. Part of that push is a commitment to hire LGBTQ+ employees in a space not traditionally associated with them; half the staff at Drop Bear is queer. The company also partners with the charity Galop, which supports LGBTQ+ victims. Proceeds from the company’s limited-edition Pride beer this year will support the group. Other firsts for Drop Bear include a designation as Wales’ first certified B-corp brewery (awarded to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability), and as the world’s first carbon-neutral alcohol-free brewery, according to Drummond. Their selections are also vegan and gluten-free. Drummond says that the key to the company’s success has been tapping into the “sober-curious” movement, which finds Gen Z and younger generations more willing to set alcohol aside in social situations. “We’re very much about not preaching to people on their drinking habits, just providing a really cool craft beer option if they decide to not drink or just to cut down,” Drummond says. Some of those popular options include Bonfire Stout, Tropical IPA, Yuzu Pale Ale, and New World Lager. For Drummond, the couple’s fresh takes on non-alcoholic brew — among offerings from more than 1,700 microbreweries in the U.K. — are only as good as the company’s commitment to their principles and representation. Queer women “having visibility in leadership roles,” said Drummond, “is more essential than people realize.” http://dlvr.it/T5ztvk

Freezin' Season from Flying Dog Brewery. A winter ale, nice and malty, From Flying Dog, as they say it best, "Remember what it was like to feel your fingers? Us neither. Welcome to winter. You wake up, put on 6 pairs of underwear, then go outside to enjoy your 8 minutes of daylight. So stack that firewood, crack open a Freezin’ Season, and tell seasonal affective disorder to go $%*# itself. Yeah, it’s cold outside. But inside, this spiced winter ale always keeps the bonfire burning. " Actually a very good beer, a nice change from hazy IPAs. #craftnotcrap #craftbeer #mdcraftbeer #mdbeer #beerstagram @flyingdogbrewery https://instagr.am/p/Clhxzq8NeEy/

Double Toasted Marshmallow (Decadent Ales)
Tumblr media
Brewery : Decadent Ales Beer : Double Toasted Marshmallow Style : Double IPA / Imperial IPA / DIPA Variance : Dry Hopped with a Blend of Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Candied Turbinado Sugar, and Candied Coconut Sugar
9 / 10
Talk about a damn good DIPA, am I right? Oh wait, you probably don’t know. Probably because you probably haven’t tasted this but I probably don’t give a shit because you probably should taste it ASAP so you should probably back the fuck off. Sorry, that escalated quickly. This is one of those beers that even though it didn’t exactly nail the flavor advertised, it still absolutely killed it on taste and I couldn’t be happier about it. A creamy sweet citrus blast starts this off with a fantastic creamsicle flavor mixing in afterwards with that vanilla mixing in with some orange-y hops before ending with a mild marshmallow flavor along with a bittersweet kick to wrap things up. Honestly, this beer just brings back memories of being a boy scout camping in the wilderness with my friends while abruptly being woken up in the middle of the night by my scout master jamming a stack of merit badges in my mouth while he practiced his knot tying on me. Needless to say, I didn’t actually get diddled but I did love toasting marshmallows around an open fire and even thought his beer doesn’t recreate that for me, it’s given me an official beverage for enjoying bonfires and just living life so I couldn’t recommend it more. This is another DIPA that I think would be perfect for every drinker so get out there and make me proud.

Day 13 7/10/2021
Gooooooood morninnnnngggg. Rayanne Inez Vega-Perkins here. This morning we got up extra early (6:30) to do our shorebird survey along the runway. I loved this survey! We basically walked our bikes North on the runway looking for the cutest little shorebirds as the sun was rising. I mean come on that’s a fantastic way to start the day. It is, however, a bit tough since there is a lot of activity and we need to document the number of each shorebird species we see. What causes a bit of a kerfuffle is when the shorebirds fly up and go in a tree and then come back to runway. Our goal is to not double count and get an accurate number of all the birds. Since this was my first one, I didn’t put too much pressure on myself and was just taking in all the birds flying and the beautiful sunrise. I did get to see two different shorebird species scurrying with their long legs across the runway. So cute! The first group I saw was Pacific Golden-Plovers. They have a sort of brown and white mottled pattern with a bill about the size of their head and long legs. I also saw one Bristle-thighed curlew which has sort of similar coloring but is much bigger than the plovers and also has a very defined long and curled bill. Sooooo cool! After the survey, we rode our bikes back and had a very delicious breakfast. Some yummy potatoes, bananas, and OJ (all of which I hadn’t had since I’ve been here and I really missed each one!). Following breakfast, we collected the weather data which I don’t think I have mentioned yet! Basically every morning we check amount of rain (inches), air temperature, air pressure, wind speed and direction, and we also check the tides. Then Ben and I biked up the runway and walked along the far end of North Beach in search of a coordinate point that would serve as a new seabird monitoring plot. Once we were there we marked the area (which was pretty difficult with a bunch of hermit crabs clinging to a fallen tree acting sort of like laser sensors in the spy movies), set up a transect, and then walked along it counting and depicting the seabirds we saw (bird type?, tree type?, chick?, adult?, roosting?, nesting?, eggs?). We mainly saw Red-footed boobies and one Sooty tern. With some time before lunch, we decided to walk the flats (shallow water beach areas) and look at coral and fish. Then we headed back for lunch and did some data entry and planning for next week. Our last task of the day included checking on the natural nursery of planted Pisonia seeds on North beach. There are quite a few little sprouts and they are soooo tiny and cute. We will continue to monitor their progress as the weeks continue. After dinner, we had a nice bonfire by North beach and I got to have two whole IPAs (Voodoo Ranger woop!) which were quite excellent and tasted real nice after a long week. It rained on us for a bit but then cleared up and the stars were INSANE! After awhile there were just three of us left and it was nice to get to know people on the atoll better. I also got to hear more from the Cocos team who have been volunteering for FWS for 6 months and will hit a full year while they’re down in Palmyra (wow!). Realizing how late it was (9:15 PM aka past backcountry midnight or remote island midnight), I headed to shower and then to bed!

How to locate the right Beer for You
Beer Near Me
Finding the right beer for you personally will take time. It took me quite a while to locate a couple of my personal favorite beers. It can be really quite simple though, you need to be prepared to try all different kinds of beer. There are many variations of beer and much more beers within those categories. First I would suggest attempting to use the different styles to acquire a taste of the items you like. Craft beer gives you an explanation in the beer and some examples, and Beeradvocate provides you with an enormous set of their examples and reviews of beers that fit in each category. I propose beginning with wheat or pale ale just to get unveiled in some common styles. I am inclined to go to places having a build-your-own 6-pack, and merely get 6 variations of beer. Also, don't allow one bad beer in a particular style ruin relative it is of this entire style. By way of example, I have had many IPA's I dispise, however some that we actually enjoy. Another note on styles you might not enjoy, look for a food recipe which uses that type of beer and attempt it. Many of the flavor complexities work really well with particular foods!
Beer Near Me
If you notice a specific style or forms of beer you enjoy, try numerous different beers in this style. As an example, I've tried probably fifteen different pumpkin beers (Southern Tier Pumpking is the best). That is another time for it to apply the build-your-own 6-pack option. Also i enjoy buying certain breweries' variety packs such as the Blue Moon Brewmaster's Sampler. Again, find recipes that you can try the various beers in. During the summer time I like using different kinds of beer to produce beer brats with.
Just planning to restaurants and getting what beer matches with foods can also be a good suggestion. This might take a beer from decent to great, or please take a bad beer to something enjoyable. I stumbled upon cookingandbeer.com recently, too and it's also another amazing site with many pretty appetizing recipes with and without beer.
Here's how I got my begin in the wonderful whole world of beer. My first exposure to beer was at secondary school before graduation. My friends i were using a bonfire, and trying to get "cool," therefore we got someone to buy us a 30-pack of Busch Light (real classy stuff). I choked it down the whole night, not that I hate it now, but during the time beer was terrible in my experience. Overall, it absolutely was quite a terrible knowledge of beer.
Skip ahead a couple of years... after drinking the most affordable, easiest beer I possibly could drink, I had been at the party with many friends and saw someone drinking Blue Moon. The bottle looked form of cool and I overhead the children discussing enjoying it. When I went to go get beer I guaranteed it had been Blue Moon. Plan as well as simple, it absolutely was amazing. Today I enjoy the casual Blue Moon.
I started to start out trying new beers constantly after Blue Moon. I began with similar beers like Shock Top Belgian White and Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat. All great beers. Following that, I expanded into pale ales, porters, stouts, etc. My passion for beer carried on growing and also be.
Today, it looks like whenever I am going towards the store I grab a 6-pack or make my very own. I am always looking for new beer I haven't tried. As an example, soon I grabbed a 4-pack of Founders Brewing Company's Breakfast Stout. It is an amazing stout. It's brimming with chocolate and coffee flavor, in fact it is really a leader of the company's class.

Bellingham's Aslan Brewing has two new beers for your Autumn drinking playlist.
With the prospect of overcast skies and weathered backs and hands from yard labors, the folks at Aslan Brewing have a few beers you might enjoy. An escape from the realities that holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas will never be the same, consider an Oud Bruin or B Heard Cold IPA.

A beer, 2 years in the making, Oud Bruin.
What started as a simple beer, aging away in stainless steel tanks, has rested in hibernation slowly burning fermentable sugars. to be reborn as this sour ale. Named after the Flemish words for Old Brown, Oud Bruin or Flemish Brown is a traditional ale sometimes used as part of provisions during long periods of rest. Chances are you’ve enjoyed other commercial examples including Petrus Oud Bruin, Liefmans Goudenband, or Brouwers Verzet Oud Bruin.
Reviewing the notes from the brewers at Aslan, their take on this classical style has notes of milk chocolate and dried fruit. Best enjoyed in front of a warm bonfire outside or in front of the hearth.

Cold IPA?
Interpretatively described as a tropical trail mix, consumed during an early morning hike in the nearby evergreens, B Heard is an enigma for the Autumn season.
Brewed with a copious amount of Sabro and Mosaic hops, the result is a beer that exudes notes of evergreen needles, bitter orange citrus, pineapple and coconut. Fermented cold at 60 degrees (F), the result is a beer that showcases the hops while minimizing the amount of esters normally found in a traditional India Pale Ale. Overall, a defined bitterness remains throughout its journey from lips to stomach, accompanied by a mild malt foundation, before finishing dry and ready for the next sip.
At 7.0% Oud Brin and Aslan’s 5.8% ABV (and 70 IBU) B Heard are available today at both of Aslan Brewing’s taprooms in Bellingham, at  1330 N Forest Street, or Seattle, at 401 N 36th Street Suite 102. For more information, visit http://www.aslanbrewing.com.
About Aslan Brewing Company
IT ALL STARTED IN THE SUMMER OF 2012, as a conversation over a pint of beer at a local Bellingham pub. We shared our dreams and soon realized that the elements of our future were sitting amongst us: a businessman, a craft beer believer and, most importantly, a brewer. Together, Frank Trosset, Pat Haynes, and Jack Lamb would go on to build and operate a pilot brewery in Downtown Bellingham, where, for the next twelve months of our lives, we would research and develop the knowledge and skills needed to start our own commercial microbrewery and restaurant.
We called it ASLAN BREWING COMPANY, and quickly realized its identity through our personal commonalities. With a commitment to organic ingredients, locally sourced goods, and low-impact practices, we aimed to offer the community something new and refreshing, the sustainable way. As for “ASLAN”: a lion is the King of the Jungle, a regal figure rooted in nature, and aslan is the Turkish word for lion. This aligned our desire to operate a world-class brewery all while preserving the raw and exotic elements of the world. Through hard work and perseverance, we brewed over 130 original pilot batches, connected with local brewers and beer lovers alike, and designed a business plan catered to craft quality and creativity.
In the final days of Summer 2013, we were given the keys to what would become Aslan’s Brewpub. Plans and permits in hand, we began our nine-month journey into construction that was done primarily by us, Boe and Don Trosset. After months of unconditional commitment, Boe Trosset was added as an invaluable member of the ownership team. Fast forward to today and we are four great friends who have together manifested our dream of owning and operating an organic brewery. We are proud and fortunate to be working with many of our close friends and to be part of the amazing community that is Bellingham.
