Related but unrelated: I was trying to design a specific dilf NPC for my Curse of Strahd game and spent about a half hour digging through your art for inspiration. I dream of being able to make this old man as crusty but likable as yours.

i have had a close friend tell me before to find insp for old men ocs that they've crawled through my media so im glad to help really. i do think they could be crustier however, there is always room to grow.. <3

May I recommend the book, “The Mouse that Roared: Disney and the end of Innocence” by Henry Giroux? It’s probably ten years out of date now, but a fascinating/infuriating read.

The history of the Disney company is so fucking fascinating and complicated that I could spend the rest of my life studying it.

I hate the company. I love the media. I want it to burn. I was profoundly shaped as a person by some of the art its workers have produced. It's evil. It's beautiful. It's an eldritch horrorterror personified as a charismatic mouse. It's a nightmarish example of capitalist hell. It destroys as much as it creates. It's a flaming trainwreck. I can't look away.

It's the goddamn Elephant's Foot of media studies.

something something the way belos manipulates lilith so effectively because in truth he can relate to her struggle and knows the pain of betraying/feeling betrayed by a beloved sibling, how he likely used their similarities to hone in on her as she worked her way up through the ranks of the coven and hand selected her to be coven head with every intention of using her to play out yet another version of his twisted little roleplay game where he's constantly reliving the way things went with caleb, how he dangles the hope of reconciliation with a sibling, something he himself had hoped for, in front of her to keep her going and then punishes her for ever having that hope in the first place (it didn't end well for him, why should it for her?,) how he probably hoped to convince lilith to put eda down herself "for her own good," and effectively forces her into that situation anyway by convicting eda and sentencing her to petrification, how he could then use the trauma of that loss to further project onto lilith and bring her in even closer ("i know how you feel, i lost a sibling and best friend to the perils of dark magic once too... ")
