the way harding goes in so aggro on lucanis right off the bat (lmao I love you too harding it's good to know you always have my back❤️️I am trying to score here tho sooo pls don't actually shoot him maybe?) and then fairly quickly she's clearly like '...oh no he's like. sad sad huh :(' hfhaskjfa. one (1) nice solid sensible fereldan girl saddled with the burden of having to rep the southern attitude towards spirits in a sea of mourn watchers and other assorted freaks and doing her damn best to be firm but fair even so. I love these two so much tho, the way their friendship develops is everything. he makes her a guard in his mind because he trusts that she would never let anything out that could hurt someone he loves, he knows she WOULD use the arrow. and she knows it wouldn't even be his fault if she had to..... the early phase here is such a mutual state of 'you know what. that's incredibly fucked up and also incredibly sweet'

#if you're wondering why I drew him with gullveig's serpents its bc i immediately fed my free gullveig to him xD flare sparrow + oath 4 yum#and then gave him her accessory for forging bonds so i can use him to grind bonus affection & sp lmaooooo#and while i wish they'd given us gullveig/seidr's floatie rocks as an accessory i love the broken halo-y look of the one they did. its neat#anyway i just love the idea that when you inherit a skill to a hero they gain a little bit of the sacrificed units traits. :)#Oops! ok…very interesting question. i guess that depends on what timeline we’re in. 80’s alien!mick has no clue what the fuck anime is, since it wasn’t introduced to western audiences until the 90’s. 90’s alien!mick would fuck with sailor moon heavy. modern day alien!mick would probably watch a couple of shows here and there, but not a lot cause he ain’t a weeb. he’d probably be into death note seeing as though he looks like he wants to be able to murder anyone and get away with it. ummm…other than that, i don’t think he’d be a regular enjoyer tbh.

well folks for the first time in my life i’ve started shipping something that doesn’t have *any* fics. i might have to be the change i want to see in the world
#it’s essun/ykka in the broken earth trilogy i genuinely thihhht they’d have a romantic moment the first time i read thru#it wouldn’t be particularly romantic but they have this whole thing going where essun and ykka promise to drink together#when they get out of danger#and essun learns so much from ykka in a parallel to what she learned from her previous love Innon#and then essun ends up in a coma and ykka never gets to share that drink with her#i mean come on that’s prime fic material i can see the summary now:#‘in a rare quiet moment essun and ykka finally share a drink. they discuss the future.’#Ykka is creating a new world. Nassun is probably going to be with Ykka#I think it’s so poetic that ykka and essun would have a bond#it would be fun to explore what each of them thought about the world. it would give essun a chance to step into the alabaster role#ykka has so much more hope than essun and they both respect each other. let! them! kiss! once!

#gonna tag properly later#the thing is#the little bat the diafam took care of?#it represented silver malleus and lilia himself#silver? obviously#malleus? not as clearly but we can see the parallels#lilia? a pitiful bat who had his wings broken down (like how he lost the war)#who struggled to live after being separated from his loved ones (like how meleanor and reverne left him behind and how he was banished)#as someone who went through that#lilia only wanted to help the little bat avoid that fate and return to its family#bats don't need tender care bats need to survive as best (or so he thought)#the way he helped the little bat also mirrored how he raised silver#like he never thought of himself as a parental figure but more like someone who suffered#from loneliness#from losing his closest bonds#from being utterly helpless#so he wished silver could avoid that as well by training him to be strong physically and mentally#the metaphor op used was painful 😭😭😭#“he's not their guardian but just an older child looking after the younger ones to help them overcome the hardships he himself endured”#“he's not building a home for them but he's putting a shelter for them from the rain and after the rain passes he will leave”#and don't even let me start on how he is aware of his limited time which results in his urgency to make silver strong#strong enough to fend for himself when he's gone#unlike him who's resigned to fate after being left behind by his best friends#gosh if only someone would come and ask for op's permission to translate#lemme sleep I'll link the post tmr
