The Plot Twist is probably the most inclined romance novel on the publishing industry concept I've ever read so far, taking account that I've read a few already previously. The writing was enjoyable. The same goes with the pacing despite being less than 350 pages.
What I enjoy most in reading this story is, again, its plot, which I was glad that the story did delve more and not just tell but did really show how the whole publishing, marketing, as well issues regarding genre trends, especially the stereotypes on romance novels. I was really immersed in those parts.
The characters were fine as well, although I wish they had more presence, the side characters, I mean, especially Deborah. Nevertheless, the story was still fine.
I also enjoyed the pairing here, Stevie and Noah really had the chemistry. I would say their pairing was cute, especially the bookwoorm bf and bookwork gf going on at the end. That part is satisfying for me considering that I usually avoid anything that is a second chance, so I'm really happy about it. Although I think they kind of lack the tension that I usually want to see. I also wish there were more developments regarding their comeback.
Overall, this was an enjoyable and wonderful read. An immersive and informative, if I say so myself. I'm definitely excited to read more of this author ♡ Thank you, Boldwood Books and Netgalley, for the e-arc opportunity ♡
The Plot Twist releases last June 19, 2024 so check this one out if you like an enjoyable and wonderful second chance, workplace romance ♡

‘Christmas at the Little Paris Hotel’ by Rebecca Raisin
Genre: Chic Lit First Published: 2024 Format: eBook Publisher: Boldwood Books Series: N/A Rating: ★★★★★ This might well now be my favourite Rebecca Raisin book! I loved this story, and the characters. The idea of renovating a run-down hotel sounds like fun and hard work, and what a great way to take your mind off difficult things. And doing it with your cousin and close friend by your side…

Book Reviews: ARC Review Edition #BookReview #NetGalley #Edelweiss #NewBooks
I've been so busy on my off days that I've had little time to blog! I'm still doing plenty of reading, though, so here's a round-up of some books being released this month! #Bookreview #bookstagram #newbooks #netgalley #edelweiss #ARCreview
If you follow Bargain Sleuth Book Reviews, then you know that late last year I got burnt out of all reading, writing, and blogging about books. I’ve slowly gotten back into it, but in order to make this blog not be such a chore and return it back into a fun hobby, I’ve not reviewed every single book I’ve consumed this year here; I have kept up with at least a paragraph on Goodreads and hope to…

Winter Wishes at Roseford Reloved
When the ceiling of preloved clothing shop Roseford Reloved falls in at the height of Christmas season, owner Polly Parrott is in despair. She can see her fortunes draining away as quickly as the water is pouring through her roof. What makes it worse is that standing right underneath the deluge is Will Sutherland, sporting hero and new owner of Parson’s Grange, the new modern mansion in Roseford. Polly and Will’s first meeting is about as far from a success as it can be, but over a festive season of Christmas markets, a Yuletide Ball and inconvenient snowfalls, can they forge a friendship or even more, despite their unpromising beginning? Or will the complications in both of their lives end their romance before it even begins?
My Review: Roseford is always a place I love to visit as I love to visit story written by Fay Keenan as it’s like travelling to a lovely place where people is friendly and ready to help, there may be problems but also a solution. There’s fun, there’s a lot of emotion and be sure you will find love. This is this type of book on steroid and even if it was a bit complex to read it, like starting another book and experience a sort of deja vu before discovering you already read it. That said I loved Polly, Will, was glad to catch up with the characters and it was a great way to pass time while I was commuting even if it was early, grey and cold. This novel made me smile, root for the characters, and turn pages trying to understand what was going to happen and not miss my station. That said I loved it and it’s recommended. It can be read as a standalone but read the rest of the series for the best experience. Many thanks to Boldwood and Rachel’s Random Resources for this digital copy, all opinions are mine
