I think there's a good chance Vladimir's going to be Mel's nemesis I'm the Noxus show. While Mel's main target is LeBlanc, she and Swain seem to have their own thing going on, and Vladimir's a more front facing problem.

The more I read about Vladimir the more it feels like him and Mel could work as foils. Mel's earliest experiences are shadowed by the aspect of death, the Kindred, while Vladimir's escaped death countless time and has lived hundreds of lives by siphoning the life-force of others.

They're both genuinely lonely people that have been ostracized from their family. While Vladimir has sunken into sadism and apathy as he orchestrates plots for his agenda alone, Mel still remains principled in her belief that she can shepherd a better way for the people she cares about. They're also both artists that use their art to remember critical memories that define their lives, I'd say more so for Vladmir because he's prone to forget large chunks of his past because he's over a thousand years old.

In the earlier lore, Vladimir came out of his seclusion to don a new identity and immediately became a vocal opponent against the Trifarix. Mel is likely to become the Guile of the Trifarix's council, and so someone like Vladimir is an immediate problem to Mel, because not only is he disguised as a charismatic critic, he's a founding member of the Black Rose and his own separate cult, the Crimson Circle. This dude is out for his own agenda beyond LeBlanc and Swain, and it probably means carving a chunk out of Noxus.
