Down we go into the depths again! This week on the Vintage RPG Podcast, we descent into The Maze of Peril (1986), a fantasy novel by Dr. John Eric Holmes. Holmes is best know for creating the first D&D Basic Rules box set (1977), but he also wrote fantasy fiction (in addition to his day job as a neurologist). At a glance, Maze of Peril doesn’t inspire much confidence as to its quality, but it winds up being a fun adventure that captures something of the spirit of the early days of Dungeons & Dragons — something countless other hard-trying fantasy novels have failed to do.

Maison Kei is the sister restaurant by Michelin 3 stars Restaurant Kei Paris. Their signature dish “Jardin de Légumes croquants” was nice harmony of various vegetables and textures with Bollinger Rose. Rich and juicy babbles of Blanc de Noir champagne was very nice with this rich signature salad. For another their signature dessert “Vacherin” was served with Coteaux champenois. It was also really nice with the Japanese classic “Anko” sauce. Told my coworker/new friend that my favorite band was Oingo Boingo and they looked at me skeptically cause the bands name is Oingo Boingo but 15 minutes later they came back from their break with spotify open on their phone and pointed at the Oingo Boingo album they had up and was like "I LOVE THIS??" And then they gave me a band rec too and that is my fun little story from today thank you for coming
