science nerd is here to rant about possible ways to keep penny's head alive, that may or may not be real (I don't have any proper medical training! I just really like science in a neurodivergent way)

so there's the obvious "put it on ice strategy". But with something as complex as a head that also depends on where it was seperated from the body and any damage to the spinal cord/brain stem.

what probably happened was that in order to keep Penny's brain alive was that electricity was somehow used to keep the brainstem active, as well as oxygen and nutrients somehow being provided. I'm not sure how that works with a brain, but all I can think of, is that any arteries and veins that were able to work due to electrical impulses from whatever machine they probably used were being fed oxygen, and the nutrients. (at least with the arteries)

bodywise, penny's body would've had to have been kept at low temperatures to stop decay occuring. so, penny you probably got a trip in a special ambulance!! yippee !!

with surgery, the head can be reattached. I'm fairly sure stuff like that has happened somewhat with conjoined twins in the past (don't quote me on that though). reattaching the spinal cord and brainstem would've taken the longest though. so penny, if you have some mobility issues after the accident blame that. arteries and veins are reattached all the time.

tldr: electricity is very handy when beheaded, and I hope that actually makes sense.

If we want to promote the boycott of is-not-reali products, we need to give substitutes and options for it.

Now, I also remember sisters asking me for my skincare/haircare routines, and I wanted to give a detailed article on that, but now it ain't about the time.

So, here, I'll try to compile these two topics.

Skincare that's effective without using any israeli/american product.

First of all, I don't have a skincare routine. I don't follow any step by step process. But, I do use products that help me keep my skin clean and hydrated.

And the most important advice I'll give to sisters is not to go for "skincare brands" that give pea sized products in bag size money. These industries are mostly scam. Always go for drugstore products. Those that are created for medicinal purposes oriented towards genuinely healing the skin problems. And if you don't have any active skin problems, don't expose your face to various products for achieving "perfect skin". There's nothing like that. Normal skins have occasional pimples, pigmentations, dark spots and uneven texture.

Anyway.

If you're going for drugstore products...

Go for phrama companies like Cipla and Reddy's Laboratories.

I personally use Reddy's Venusia Max moisturizer as my skin gets extremely dry often. If you have dry n normal (combination) skin you can use it. And if you have oily skin, go for squalane based moisturizers from Derma Co.

Next in line, if you want to use any serums, vit C is best for skins and there's a product by Cipla "Rivella Vit C and HA Serum" it's soothing, and effective. Alhamdulillah.

As a face cleanser or what you call as face wash, there are very brilliant new company products from DeConstruct that I love love love because they are so gentle on face and keep your pH balance and moisture intact (great substitute for Dove soap)

Then there's one more important aspect on skincare that's protection from UV...so you'll need a sunscreen. Go for Regaliz Truederma SPF 50. It's efficient. Alhamdulillah. Or Minimalist Suncreen spf 60 + Niacinamide incase you wanna go economically minimalistic. Derma Co Zinc Sunscreen is good too (one that comes in orange coloured pack)

Now, these four things are more than enough to keep your skin good.

Cleanser, Serum, Moisturizer, Sunblock.

Apart from that if you still wanna have some extra products...not from drugstore but excellent Indian brands...then Go for Pilgrim or Minimalist. They have best the ranges in every product.

And then comes Haircare...

Boycott Garnier. Boycott Loreal Paris. Boycott Head n Shoulders.

Go for St. Botanica. The Shampoos are sooooo great. Allahummaabaarik. SLS, Paraben Free, Actually formulated for cleaning dirt from hairs and reduce hair problems. Conditioners too are effective and they actually work as they advertise. If not St. Botanica, mamaearth would be good...but I didn't see it's results as best as St. Botanica.

For lipbalms though, you can go for Mamaearth. The shades are subtle and help keep your lips hydrated and avoid pigmentations. Stop using Ponds, Vaseline, Nivea. .PLEASE!!!! Their lipbalms do nothing but make your lips darker and greasy.

Makeup, I don't use tbh. But few years back, I had gotten a lipstick from MyGlamm and a Foundation of Biotique. They were good. You can go for it.

Bodywashes, Feet scrubs - Bodywise

Hair removal gels/creams - Sirona

Perfumes - Ajmal / Maison De Fouzdar are best. No doubt.

I'm sharing this post not to promote any sort of "self care" in this situation....but as an essential need of substitutes. Infact these substitutes are way better and effective than the Israeli American products we've been wasting our money on.

I have tried to mention most of the things used by women because that's the biggest market for Israeli products.

If you are an Indian, promote Indian brands 'cause we gotta "make in India" ;)

For that we need to use only that which is "made in India"

Go ahead...you can add anything else I might've missed. And yes...If any Mother's seeing this, let us know baby products that are made in India.

Okies! So-- This is two answers!

One which is the easy normal average answer and then one for the "whydya gotta go and make things so complicated" answer

Simple answer is--- we tend to try and stick within a sane and healthy limit of our stage of life-- someone who "grew up in the 80s or 90s" is pretty much our unspoken boundary with no limiter on what constitutes "growing up"

Power dynamics and maturity are the more important factors when deciding on stuff and I really think a relationship needs some level of shared experience and all those waters are muddy at the best of times-- it makes it hard to answer this for serious

When I lived in England though we weren't dating anyone our friend group was typically 5 years older than us--- which was extra weird because at the time we were going through delayed puberty (we started at 18 end matured about 23) but we had been living alone since 16 and by 18-19 had a career, a rented apartment and more life experience than the majority of people our age (while looking like a pre-teen)

At the time it made sense to be with people who were older because they were the people we were most similar to--- people our own age, despite looking older than us felt younger because they were still in school

Eventually when our body started catching up we started dating and we attracted people younger than us which wouldn't have been a surprise because bodywise we'd not yet matured

I guess that dichotomy kinda broke the scales for us a bit-- presently we are dating younger and older (poly for the win) and it feels a bit comfortable but like we recognize that our youngest partner would is out of the acceptable age gap of our oldest, which is one of those "please do not think about metamour age gaps or we're gonna need a Pepe Silvia board"

At the end of the day agency and consent are as important here as anywhere else and it's too complicated of a landscape for me to attempt to navigate for people who aren't me

Because I have DID and I'm going to be part of a plurality panel in May and have been dreading this question when it comes to part/alter ages

Like--- we do not attribute ages to members of our system but we recognize some parts formed at younger ages and are attached to stages of our life

For some that may lead to the development of Child Alters who identify as being the age that they were formed in or attached to-- it's fairly common; particularly as dissociative disorders form between ages 0-8 typically

This means that when interacting with them, despite the age of the body, you're interacting with an infant and--- yeah--- there's a lot of discomfort in that which requires specific discussions and boundaries being agreed upon by all parties involved in the relationship (between the two bodies involved, anyway)

I'm still working on how we'll handle answering it at the panel but there'll be a bunch of other lovely people with us when we deal with that so hopefully someone who may be a little more knowledgeable will get a better answer than we can provide

Anyway for most people the first part of the answer would suffice, right?

Chihiro is honestly just very queer to me. Definitely trans but i can't pinpoint if it's towards masc or fem. Just trans. Also some specific flavor of genderqueer that's their own nods... Sexuality wise honestly they're pansexual but also don't care much for labels if this makes sense? Guy who'll say they're pan just so others know they don't care much but they genuinely don't care, he replies that just so she doesn't has to elaborate. My beautiful any pronouns king. Also doesn't mind if others are using masc fem or neutral language at them. Presentation wise it's a bit funny because honestly, while i do see them as pretty gnc and don't think they'd mind wearing them, I see Chihiro as someone who prefers shorts, pants, jumpsuits/overalls etc over skirts or dresses! He doesn't mind using them but just prefers being able to move without a worry over it <3 bodywise yeah he had a smaller stature but I feel he def has thighs for days. Tao... Honestly considering how he did come from 1999 I don't think Tao ever worried much about those things until more recently. He definitely hasn't thought much about gender and all but in general acts pretty apathetic to most of it, not really caring etc but sticks mostly to he/they just because they're more used to it (Chihiro and other close people will sometimes use she/her and feminine terms and it always surprises Tao, but in a nice way), however ooh boy sexuality wise. Tao has been in heavy denial of his sexuality since before the time travel in the 90s. Kinari was his first big awakening to "??? Why do I feel like this" and it's only more recently he figured out with Chihiros help that there's a term to this thing. He was never able to understand how people just found celebrities etc attractive, they were pretty sure but never in a way Tao felt romantically or sexually attracted until the exception (Kinari) happened. Tao has very much some demisexual/romantic ordeal going on, however, also admits to finding masculine/androgynous people more attractive than women and feminine figures. I know a lot of people put Tao as strong and buff etc and while I do think he has some muscle I actually think he's p chubby. Definitely has some tummy and all. Pats them with my hand.

Hey so I really do appreciate the analysis of the story but in your previous ask telling me or any writer "you're wrong" about their own story or that they're not being they're not "Think(ing) about it realistically" when it come to some of the choices made comes off as extremely rude.

I think/hope you didn't mean it that way so please try to figure out a way to reword that statement. You said "I don't think" or something to that equivalent throughout this whole ask and you are totally entitled to think anything you would like about anything but saying things like "I love you but..." in any context is very hurtful since it's showing your love is conditional.

You can totally give constructive criticism and I'm not super pressed about what you said but I would just say for future reference just because you think something should go one way or was the wrong decision doesn't mean you were right and the person who created the story and put time and effort into releasing it for free is wrong.

At the end of the day the writer has the last say and it's their story. Only they know the full details and true thoughts and feeling of their character and what they would or wouldn't do.

Imagining the story going a different way is fine but maybe keep those thoughts and feelings to yourself if you're telling them that they've made multiple wrong choices throughout the story.

Now I'll start responding to your analysis

I do agree that she is 100% in the wrong and she never said she wasn't in the wrong. In Drabble 1 she admitted to herself "I've backed myself into a corner, and there really is no one else to blame but myself. Jungkook might've pressured me into this but the choice was ultimately mine, and I chose wrong" so she knows that she fucked up.

This might've not been something that you read or noticed but she does think about these things and has been for years. Sometimes it's easy to put the blame on someone else so it would be seen that way but she is self aware it's just hard for her to have Jungkook around and throwing things in her face.

He might've seemed very manipulative at the beginning but he caught her at a time where she was feeling vulnerable and desperate and so people sometimes don't make the best decisions when they're in that sort of headspace and Jungkook knew that and used it to his advantage.

She didn't make those decisions "unconsciously" because she knew exactly why she said yes and therefore knew that although this wasn't the right thing to do it would be the easiest way for everyone to get what they wanted. And just like the title of part three says "I Did It For You" and thought of how much pressure this would take off of him.

Although people might've been able to say no to him some people might've said yes. There were multiple factors to this story and sometimes people aren't as strong willed as some others are. She's all talk at this point because of the fact that she doesn't want her husband to find out.

Not because of the fact that she doesn't want people to know what she's done (ofc that is a factor in it) but because she really truly does love her husband and she knows just how much this will shatter him and she doesn't want to see that happen and that's why it went on for so long.

People think differently and that's what makes life and stories more interesting because if we all thought and felt the same way then things wouldn't be all that interesting and very predictable.

I mean he definitely gets hit on and flirts with other women but he does have self control. In Drabble 1 he says "Darling it's your fault, you've ruined sex for me with other women. Nothing about them compares to you" so he doesn't find pleasure in it anymore because he's 1) obsessed with her and 2) obsessed with the power trip and how he can have her as much as he wants as long and she still wants to keep this all a secret.

Like you said he's emotionally invested in oc and so he feels like theres' no point if it's not with her.

In terms of divorce there's no real reason why anyone with need to know that he's the father. It might be something that comes out later but as far as the public knows he's still just their grandfather.

There are a lot of dirty secrets in high society that no one finds out about and couples get divorced all the time and it's not seen as uncommon these days so it's not taboo.

Plus the secret could still come out whether she was still married to her husband or not. The people that she wanted to keep the secret from already know so she doesn't care if it goes to the press if that's the only way to get away from them.

If anything that would be the best way that she could get her revenge and Jungkook at that point would see the divorce as necessary because what person in their right mind would go around keeping the family together once everyone knows the truth.

Oc doesn't want revenge though because she's not like that and she wants to keep her kids out of the press as much as possible and doesn't want people to treat them any differently.

Will it put a ding in the families reputation if she tells everyone? Sure but Jungkook doesn't have the power to nor have the desire to stop the divorce. Jungkook's manipulation stops when he loses oc.

He's not someone who wants to get revenge on someone in this situation because although he lost her, this is something he's always gonna be able to hold over her head and that's humiliation enough.

Her mother in law is actually very understanding and keeps in contact with oc throughout all of this. Even though what oc did was majorly fucked up her mother in law knows Jungkook and what he's capable of and understands why she did it.

It might be seen that in that situation her husband was being irresponsible but people make mistakes plus he was being run ragged and this time he didn't want to put in the effort to make things right even though he knew there would be consequences.

He honestly saw this as a way he could majorly fuck up so Jungkook would stop making him go on so many trips. Like who wouldn't be upset that he has to leave his wife and kids all the time? He truly loves them and wants to be there for them all the time and be there for those important milestones.

This was a way to kind of push back and wanted to seem like he was incompetent and that Jungkook needed to find someone else to do that kind of work for him. Someone who might be seen as more capable and qualified. It didn't end up working out that was because Jungkook just assigned an additional colleague to help him so it wouldn't happen again.

It's not his son's fault that he couldn't have kids so let's just get that part out of the way. Just because one slip up was mentioned doesn't mean that that's how he handles things all the time. The reason why he's sent on all of these trips is because he's successful and does convince a lot of clients to sign.

It would be way too suspicious to everyone in the company and be way to obvious and confusing to her husband if he was shit at his job was still was sent to go take care of extremely important matters and sign big clients pretty much monthly in most cases. Like he would give the company a horrible reputation if he was that "so deficient at everything"

Creating heirs is important for a corporate family so it wouldn't have mattered if his son was competent or incompetent, it's something that needed to happen anyways. Of course you want your heirs to be better. Who would want to hand over your legacy to someone who can't do their job or improve upon the company? The goal is to make things bigger and better so therefore you need your successors to be better than the one that came before him.

Saying that Jungkook would go so far as to murder someone does not match his character at all. He's manipulative and if he had those murderous tendencies he definitely would've made that known and gotten his son out of the way a long time ago.

No Jungkook's youngest son won't be like him. Just like Jungkook's first son his mother will be raising him right so that won't be happening. He's more or the artsy easy going, kind hearted type of guy but he will put on that suit and tie and take over the company when the time comes if his sister doesn't want the company instead.

That situation is something that you're allowed to make up ofc but as the writer I can tell you that that doesn't happen. It would be crazy but it doesn't fit well with the storyline and no theres no possibility of a third child.

She realistically CAN leave and she DOES but she knows full well that she'll still have dealings with the family since she does indeed have 50/50 custody of the children.

My journey at the Priory is finally coming to a much needed end. I officially have the funding in place and will be going back to residential. I just hope it's the right decision on my part.

I'll miss some of the staff (namely my key nurse and therapist) but I won't miss being here. I've had enough. I'm not magically cured but I'm in a far better position than when I first came, even I can recognise that.

The days here are monotonous. Tuesdays and Fridays (for some, including me) are weigh days (Mondays and Thursdays for the others) where we dress in little blue paper gowns tied up at the back. We are woken up at the horrible time between 6 and half 6 am where we then step on the scale to see the dreaded number, praying we haven't lost weight (that would mean an increase), or go up "too much" that our heads can't cope. Even maintenance is difficult to see.

Back to sleep until 8am, meds are at 8:15 (I'm on 5mg aripiprazole, 60mg fluoxetine and inhalers) and breakfast at 8:20. I'm lucky. I'm allowed to maintain a low weight so I remain on quite a small meal plan. Not like some who are forced to a healthy weight but we all know the battle I faced with that one! One box of cereal (usually shreddies or bran flakes), 200ml soya milk (with chocolate nesquik) and a slice of melon.

Next up is hour after where I usually doze. 2 coffees (I have caffeinated coffee and sweeteners that I smuggled in) and a 15 minute walk around the block is followed by a group at 10:45-12:15pm. My favourites are discharge planning and body wise. They are often held by my therapist. Lunch is at half 12 but I always go down 5 minutes early to avoid the rush of patients from the other wards.

I usually have a sweet chilli quorn salad wrap or tuna mayo salad wrap followed by a portion of berries. I'm meant to have a soya yogurt too but I don't have it. I'm too scared it will make me gain weight and my dietitian and the staff know.

Another hour after spent either outside in the sun (recently it's been such nice weather, yes, even in Scotland!) or watching TV. Then another coffee before group (today's is bodywise) and another 15 minute walk (with a quick coffee) after afternoon snack at half 3.

Dinner is at 5:20pm, but as usual I go down 5 minutes early to avoid the rush. I have vegan cottage pie with veg and a scoop of soya ice cream for dessert tonight. After another hour after spent in the lounge, I tend to sit at the nurses station, bored. At 8pm I'll write my daily menu (most people do theirs weekly but I like to do mine daily!) and I'll usually phone a friend to pass some more time until I need to get my nightly meds (just inhalers for me) before night snack from 9-10pm. I tend to go straight to bed as I'm already falling asleep in hour after!

I should also mention that once a week we see the dietitian. the therapist and have ward round. Today was a therapy day where I rambled on about my anxieties for visiting T House tomorrow, seeing some of the staff and desperately wanting my pass to go well. We spoke about my experience and how I felt ashamed, dirty and like I was overreacting. I worry that I won't be able to do the trauma therapy I need but at the same time, maybe it's best not to delve into the past? I don't know what would be for the best.

I also had ward round where as usual nothing much agreed. I'm still to use the lift (instead of the stairs, despite being allowed home passes and daily walks!), no extra time out although I am going on pass tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday and discharge will be decided at my case conference next Tuesday. I just hope my key nurse can do the transfer.

He held the door open so he could fly in if he wanted to. His husband was at work, as was Vy, while Hayden was in his room working on shelter things while the kids were in school. Emil had done quite the travel. First, they had made sure Flynn had indeed gone to his class, watching from the window as the boy for his test. Then took a detour through the kid's schools. Watching as both Eltanin and Arlene had stayed out of gym class as their current conditions made the class difficult for them. Then went through the hospital, finding Vy doing an appointment, who felt them immediately and growled in warning to them. Emil flew away and now headed home. They were yet to check on the other four and pets. They had seen Hayden through the window on their computer. Once they saw the open door they came in.

Hayle: Flynn has his first big test today right?

The familiar took humanoid form, landing down and stretching, feeling quite stiff. The shift between dragon, human and familiar form was becoming easier the more they used it, but it was no less painful. They looked at Hayle.

Emil: Yes. They were quite stressed and... they panicked. They were scared about all of you... I didn't know how to help, so I promised to check on the family. Make sure you are all alright. I am yet to check on the older mage and the reaper... -they looked around trying to see if they could spot Chris around- It was the only way I know how to help... Hayle: Chris is at work, so he is fine. -he smiles at Emil, motioning for him to come inside.-  River is at the shelter and I was just finishing making some cookies for the kids when they come home. 

He went over to the oven to take out the first tray and then set in the second. It was calming for him to bake as well when everyone was out and about and he was home alone. 

Hayle: Scared for all of us? -he looked at Emil- Nightmares?

He guessed, since he knew both Eltanin and Arlene struggled with them as well, it was only natural to assume the same would be true for Flynn, even if he perhaps hid it a lot better. Emil nodded and sighed, following Hayle and watching as he placed the second batch of cookies. With curiosity, they stared at a cookie, and once Hayle turned his back on them they pocketed a few to take for Flynn.

When you talk about resemblance, I often think about Dolores.

Like, Mira is a mini Juli. Luisa is mix of Juli and Agustin. Isabela is a copy-paste of young Abuela.

Antonio is a mini Felix (with the same doe eyes that Dolores' have). And Camilo remembers me of Pepa, but people say he looks like Pedro.

So, what about dear Dolores?

You had me wondering, Anon. And I looked up at their beautiful faces and came to some conclusions. Both Felix AND Pepa have protruding ears so it's not something Dolores has because of her gift, but it's from her parents. I think she also has Felix's lips. She also has Pepa's slim build - they're very similar bodywise - rather narrow hips, small waist and chest.

(In comparison, Julieta's girls have her built - with wider hips and bigger chests than Pepa and Dolores (sorry my darlings but u 2 flat))

Dolores has Pepa's face shape:

Her eye shape is very similar to Mirabel's, so I think they both may take some features after their relatives on their mothers' side.

So I think Dolores is a perfect mix between Felix and Pepa with some addition from her mother's side relatives because she shares some things with Mirabel, for example.
