Kairi bristled, seeing an unfamiliar face but feeling a very familiar, malicious energy coming off of this guy. The comment about a 'physical form' gave her a good idea of who this could be. But she didn't have much time to ruminate on it--because once again, she was in a position where someone much bigger than her was pinning her to a wall.

"You-- Get the hell off of--! AH--?!!"

Goosebumps prickled over her skin when she felt the warm, wet tongue gliding over her neck. Disgusting. How dare he?! Even in someone else's body, this bastard was still fucking with her!

He had a physical body now? Then she could hurt him.

"I'm not, your FUCKING canary!!!"

Kairi swung her leg up, taking a well aimed knee strike right into the guy's crotch. And with her superhuman level oni strength, it was going to hurt REAL bad.

(Unspecific circumstances cause Ruby and Yang to swap bodies)

Ruby(in Yang's body): Okay, you wait here and I'll try to explain to Weiss what happened. Until we get this figured out, don't let anyone know what's going on.

Yang(in Ruby's body): Got it.

Ruby(in Yang's body): (leaves) Oh, excuse me, Penny.

Penny: (walks in) Oh, Ruby~ It's Tuesday.

Yang(in Ruby's body): ... okay?

Penny: (activates ten metallic tendrils from her back) By my estimate, we have an extra two hours to add to our usual eight tonight! Now, bend over~

DPXDC Prompt #108

When you meet your soulmate you both feel it, you know down to your bones that this person was meant to be with you for life, if you’re unable to find them before you pass on, your ghosts will be unable to locate each other in the afterlife. The Fentons tried to make a way to locate your soulmate using ectoplasm, unfortunately for Danny he’s the only one in the family yet to find his. Jazz actually found hers when she started school in Gotham, some guy named Jason, if Danny remembered correctly. They try some experiments with Danny and something works just not as intended as with every piece of Fenton tech. Danny wakes up in an unfamiliar room and in an unfamiliar body. Looking around, it appears his soulmate is rich, he’s got to call his soulmate and explain the situation. He’s not looking forward to explaining his powers to them but if they’re going to be in his body best to let them know what to expect from Danny’s weird biology.

Damian woke up to an unfamiliar ringtone in an unfamiliar room. Assessing the situation he noticed the number from the phone was actually his own. Might as well answer it to see if he could get some answers.

Dean's face burned with the force of his blush, and his stomach twisted into knots. He'd walked up behind Cas – or so he thought – and since no one else was in the library, he'd grabbed hold of his angel's ass in greeting.

He hadn't expected Cas to jump three feet in the air, or for him to spin around with a horrified look on his face. His eyes were wide, and his lips pursed in an expression that was way too familiar.

"Dean?!" Not-Cas shrilled, and Dean went light-headed with how quickly the blood drained from his face, only for it to rush back as he went scarlet in embarrassment.

"Sammy?!" he demanded, swallowing down a sick feeling, and scrubbed his hand against his thigh. "What the fuck, man?!"

Sam-Cas crossed his arms, tossed his head a little, and gave him a sour look. Dean realised with some hysteria it was bitch-face number eight, the one always preceded by Sam flicking his hair out of his eyes.

"So how long has that been going on?" Sam retorted, and Dean shook his head. It was so weird, Sam's inflections in a voice that was closer to Jimmy's than Cas'.

"Nuh-uh. No way. Not getting into that. Where the fuck is Cas?"

"In the storage room. We found an apparently cursed item. We need to track down what we're actually looking for."

"No shit, Sherlock! What the hell were you two doing? Wait…" Dean nearly whimpered as a terrifying thought hit him. "You… you don't have his memories, do you?"

A look of disgust crossed Sam-Cas' face, and he shook his head.

chapter 1 of my fic "swapped" is up!

Jesus fucking Christ, guys. What the hell??? So my little inspiration post for this fic popped off which is crazyyy! We are now 202 birdwatchers! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

A little disclaimer for this fic though: Uni has just started, meaning that my spare time isn't as much as it used to be. Because of this it'll take significantly longer for me to write fics I'm actually proud of and want to be read by you guys, so please bear with me, alright?

I made this fic a multi chapter one because I have too many fun ideas AND most importantly to relieve some pressure off myself.

(Because as much as I'm grateful for all of the attention my post regarding this fic has been garnering, I won't lie to you guys and say that it hasn't terrified me. I mean, about 50 people or so want reminder tags??? So I do feel the pressure for this fic not to disappoint y'all.)

Was Blake going through the same thing he'd been through a few days ago? Swapping bodies thanks to those weird, sunglasses wearing grey fairies??

"Whoa, it IS you! Who's this guy you're inside of right now?" Whoever he was, even though he was shorter than Blake, the guy was built like a compact tank!

"Oh right, clothes--yeah, I can help you buy some new ones, man! There's plenty of places around here that sell stuff that'll fit this body type, don't worry. Just stick close to me, yeah?"

Rocket and Groot body swap headcanons

- rocket and groot are hunting a bounty who has the psionic power to transfer their consciousness into other beings bodies by touch or something along those lines.

-They try to transfer to groot so they can use his strength and shapeshifting powers, but rocket is still on groots shoulder, which causes the process to mess up. Resulting in the bounty’s consciousness not transferring to either rocket or groot… but rocket and groot’s transferring to eachother

-hijinks™️ ensue as rocket and groot try to catch the bounty who got away while they were freaking out. All while also trying to get the hang of each others weird sentient tree and cyborg raccoon physiology respectively.

Groot with rocket’s body

- there’s no doubt in my mind groot going from his hard tree body to rocket’s soft, fleshy mammal body would likely be the most disgusting thing groot has ever experienced.

- the tail is also a surprise.

- not only this but him losing his super strength and shapeshifting leads to some embarrassing moments whenever he forgets he has rocket’s body

- like when Rocket and Groot have to cross huge gap in the floor and groot, instinctively, tries to stretch his arms to create a bridge… only to open his eyes and see his arms haven’t morphed.

- or when the two of them get locked behind a door or wall and groot goes to punch a hole through it, only to break some bones in rocket’s tiny fist against the hard surface.

-speaking of pain, groot probably can’t stand the lower pain tolerance of Rocket’s mammalian body. Feeling physical sensation, let alone pain, to such an acute degree would be something he’s not used to thanks to the bark armour and super strength of his og body.

-Groot would have more mixed feelings about being a 2 foot tall raccoon. On the one hand, it’s a nice change of pace for him to not have to duck under doorways whenever he enters a room or something. On the other, yeah, its a pretty jarring change for him. Especially since he’s not taken seriously by the bounty or any thugs they run into due to his small size. And now he can’t use his strength or size to protect rocket.

- Granted, Rocket is now in the body of a 9 foot tall, near indestructible flora colossus with high pain tolerance, but still. It’s just in Groot’s nature to want to protect those he cares about from harm. And he can’t as easily do that in Rocket’s smaller, comparatively weaker body without having a weapon like one of rocket’s guns. Something he is very much not used to or experienced in. At all.

-In short, groot would not be having a good time.

- He’s on rocket’s shoulder most of the time now, not only to stop him getting accidentally trampled by rocket (again) but also because it reminds him of being at his og height. (He’s beginning to understand why rocket likes doing it so often…)

-(also I know I’m mostly talking about the 2017 rocket & groot version of the characters/continuity here, but I also headcanon groot being uncomfortable in a smaller body due to it reminding him of living on Planet X where he was considered very small by flora colossus standards.)

-(Being reminded of the time in his life where he was ostracised for having a smaller, “weaker” body as well as a compassionate nature would probably reignite a lot of anxiety in Groot. Again, this backstory is from the 2015 groot comics and I know they’re a seperate continuity to the rocket & groot cartoons but damnit it’s my headcanon post and I get to choose what bits of canon I use also the groot 2015 comics are underrated af)

- also, I realised groot can talk the same way rocket does now!

- for context; In one episode of Rocket & Groot where they capture a shapeshifting criminal, it ends with rocket messing with his shapeshifting gadget thing. As the guy is protesting he briefly transforms into groot and is only able to say ‘I am groot’. Which seems to heavily imply Groot saying I am groot has somthing to do with his physiology. Like the explanation in the comics about how flora colossi have stiffend larynxes so it sounds like thier complex language is just them saying I am groot over and over.

- anyway, yeah! while in rocket’s body, groot is actually able to speak full sentences! And he’s surprisingly eloquent. Kinda like how he telepathically speaks to Jean Grey in the 2015 groot comics.

-I love this as not only would it be such a funny way to reveal Groot as being more intelligent than his role as Rocket’s dumb muscle would lead someone to believe, but the mental image of trevor devall’s rocket speaking all calm, kind and eloquent in contrast to his typical rocket voice used in the show is just hysterical. Again; Missed! Opportunity!!

Rocket with Groot’s body

- Rocket initially thinks he’s dead due to there being less sensation or pain in his body than usual, and also literally seeing his own knocked out body lying next to him… before he looks down and sees ‘his’ now tall, lanky bark covered body. And proceeds to freak out.

- He has trouble balancing at first due to having no tail now.

- and when he does, he hits his head on whatever is directly above him.

- when he finally realises what’s happened, he goes to yell at groot for being an idiot and letting the bounty touch him, swap their minds around and get away, only for no words other than “I am groot” to come out.

- being unable to let out his frustration verbally in the way he does usually, he lets it out through groots body.

- Both he and groot (mostly groot) learn the hard way Rocket’s typical aggression and the size/strength of a flora colossus are a dangerous combination.

- Rocket snaps out of it when he nearly tramples his old body by mistake (and also Groot who’s currently in it, of course.) (but let’s be real, R&G 2017!rocket is somehow even more emotionally constipated than MCU!rocket and would never in a biz-zillion years admit out loud that he genuinely cares about his best friend and his safety LOL)

-he also remembers that they have a bounty to catch when they were busy freaking out so yeah. Lucky, he can take thanks to Groot’s longer legs and has no problem nearly catching up to the bounty

- …the same can’t be said for Groot, who Rocket realises is still trailing behind due to having rocket’s smaller legs. Much to Rocket’s continued frustration.

- building on this further is every time rocket runs toward a door and, momentarily forgetting how tall he now is, hits his head on the top of the frame. Every. Single. T I m e….

- he also has a hard time getting the hang of groots shape-shifting powers. For instance when Groot tries and fails to make a bridge and Rocket shoved him aside to do it himself. He’s seen Groot do it a million times, how hard can it be!

- his arms just turn to floopy vines or weird shapes when he tries to concentrate on just making a bridge. Groot tells rocky to relax and “use his heart” or whatever, which only stresses Rocket out further. There were at least 50 attempts before he had it.

- this also manifests in his emotions affecting groots form. Gnarled, spiky branches and thorns begin to grow on Rocket’s shoulders, back and forearms as a result of his anger. At one point accidentally pricking Groot in an uncomfortable place while he was previously sitting comfortably on Rocket’s shoulder.

- still, having the body 9 foot tall tree monster does have its perks. Rocket learns quickly he really, REALLY loves just. Smashing things up. Walls, buildings, locked doors etc, pretty much anything that gets in his and Groot’s path.

- Not to mention also ring able to throw huge things like rocks, parked spacecrafts, innocentunarmedcivillians etc at others.

- most importantly of all though… being able to wield two heavy duty plasma guns in both hands at the same time. Much to Rocket’s manic delight and Groot’s deep concern….

- so yeah, Rocket goes mad with power.

- tbh, R&G2017!Rocket’s raw chaotic energy in the body of Groot would be terrifying. And also hilarious.

One of the biggest missed opportunities of the 2017 rocket and groot cartoon was they never had an episode that did the obligatory body swap trope these types of wacky, episodic Sci-fi/fantasy cartoons do.

Rocket and Groot switching bodies would’ve been comedy gold…

I feel like this could have already been said because it just seems so obvious but I haven't found any post like this.

What if Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu just swapped.

We know that Shen Jiu had a terrible qi deviation that lead to him essentially dying. This is what aloud Shen Yuan's soul to replace him. Though couldn't that technically mean that the same could have happened for Shen Jiu but with Shen Yuan's body.

Just a thought.
