Palaye Royale stellen Death Or Glory im August in den Laden
Tumblr media
Tracklist: 1. Death or Glory 2. Hot Mess 3. Just My Type 4. Ache in My Heart 5. For You 6. Dark Side of the Silver Spoon 7. Showbiz 8. Mister Devil 9. Addicted to the Wicked & Twisted 10. The Charade
Part Nine
Summary: Two journalists strike a bargain with Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles to get the article they need, and end up getting more than they bargained for. Pairings: Misha x OFC, Jensen x OFC Word Count: 1466 Warnings: Language? A/N: Ash’s and my continuing collab! @d-s-winchester
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Misha got home shortly after Boden left, so Jensen was still up, cleaning up their beer bottles and getting ready to shower before bed.
“How’d it go?” Jensen asked.
“Started out well,” Misha said, “but at the end of it - I don't know. Seemed like something was going to happen and then Adeline stopped it. She told me she thinks about me a lot, of course, that was after I told her I think about her a lot …”
“You're overthinking it,” Jensen told him. “Maybe Addy just didn't want to jump into bed right away. Doesn't mean there can't be anything between the two of you.”
Misha nodded. “That's true. Would you go there with Bo? If it was the same?”
Jensen shrugged. “It might be the same, actually, but -- yeah. If Bo wanted to give this a shot, I absolutely would go for it.”
“How do you know it isn't a rebound from Lindsey?”
“You mean how do you know Addy isn't a rebound from Charlotte,” Jensen clarified. “We can't know that, not really. I'm going to throw out the cliche that timing is everything, Misha, and Addy and Bo showed up right when we needed someone to pick up the pieces. Maybe that makes this a rebound, maybe Charlotte and Lindsey left when they did because Addy and Bo were coming and we needed to be available and open to them -- whatever it is, I believe it’s worth the risk. Bo is worth the risk. You have to decide if Addy is worth the risk.”
Misha nodded, and Jensen went to shower. It was certainly a gamble, and Misha had a hunch he wasn't going to get much sleep while he tried to decide if gambling with Addy was the right way to go.
By the time Boden got home Addy was about to get in bed.
“How was your date?” Addy asked as Boden sat down at the edge of her bed.
“Perfect,” she smiled, “what about you? You don’t look like it went too well.”
“Oh, no, it was amazing. I just...we almost took it too far.”
“Do you want to be with him? Give me a straight yes or no, don’t beat around the bush,” Boden asked once Adeline was done telling her what happened with Misha.
“I can’t, I’m not sure. There’s too many different things to consider.”
“But how many of those things actually need to be considered? I love you Addy, you know I do, but I want you to be happy. If you let everything that Finn did stop you from being happy with a genuinely good guy like Misha, you're still letting Finn control you.”
“I know, you’re right.”
“So you’ll go for it then?”
“Maybe.”
“I’ll take it, but --”
Boden stopped mid-sentence when she heard a loud banging on the front door. Boden raised her eyebrow at Adeline, who just shrugged, and stood from the bed. Adeline followed close behind her and Boden opened the door. When Adeline saw who was standing there her stomach dropped.
“What are you doing here?” Boden asked through gritted teeth, moving to block Adeline from view. She could smell the alcohol on him and she immediately knew this was not going to end well.
“I came to see Addy,” Finn slurred, “let me talk to her.”
“No. Just leave, Finn. She wants nothing to do with you.”
Finn tried to shove his way into the apartment, but Boden quickly shut and locked the door. Finn continued to pound on the door and demand to see Adeline, but Boden wasn't having it.
“You're not dealing with this, Addy,” Boden said adamantly amongst the ruckus from the other side of the door. “I'm calling the cops.”
While Boden called the cops Adeline made her way toward her bedroom, shutting the door behind her to block out the noise of Finn banging on the door. As soon as she entered the room she grabbed her phone from her bedside table and without a second thought sent a text to Misha.
Finn showed up. He’s pounding on the front door, demanding to talk to me. Bo’s calling the cops.
She wasn’t expecting him to respond, not after the way their date ended, but that didn’t stop her from hoping that he would get back to her. After ten minutes with no response she let out a sigh and made her way back out to the living room. Boden had gotten off the phone with the police but Finn was still pounding on the door.
Adeline went to get up and yell through the door for Finn to leave her alone when her phone vibrating in her hand stopped her. She looked down and let out a sigh of relief when she saw Misha’s name on the screen.
Sorry, I was in the shower. I’ll be there as soon as I can.
She was surprised at herself for even texting Misha but the fact that she did solidified something for her. She felt safe with him, something she never felt with Finn, and Boden was right if she kept putting off being happy with someone because of the things Finn did to her than she was still letting him control her. That needed to end and she had every intention of ending it that night.
It wasn’t long before the police showed up and knocked on their door. Not hearing Finn pounding on the door anymore was the only reason Adeline went to answer it. She saw Finn being handcuffed by two officers while the one at the door was telling her that they were going to take Finn down to the station for a drunk and disorderly but there wasn’t much else they could do.
Adeline nodded and thanked the officer for coming out when she saw Misha coming down the hallway. One of the officers dealing with Finn tried stopping him but Adeline told the officer at her door to let him through. Misha was at her side as quickly as possible and followed Adeline into the apartment as he bombarded her with questions about what happened.
“He just showed up,” Boden answered, handing Addy a cup of tea. “As far as we know, he hasn't been here since that first night when you told him to leave.”
Misha nodded and looked concerned towards Addy. “You all right?”
Addy sipped her tea. “Just a little shaken up, I think.”
“I'm beat,” Boden yawned. “I'll let you two talk.”
Addy watched her friend disappear into the bedroom, closing the door behind her. She set her tea on the coffee table and turned to Misha.
“I’m glad you’re alright,” Misha said, standing from the couch, “I should probably head back home.”
“Misha, wait.”
He sat back down and faced her. She let out a sigh and ran her fingers through her hair before speaking again.
“I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t want to stop, believe me I didn’t, but I panicked. I haven’t felt this way about someone in a long time and it scared the crap out of me. Then I wasn’t sure what that meant for this arrangement we have and I freaked myself out even more, but I’ve had time to sort out my thoughts and I just don’t care about this stupid arrangement anymore. I want to be with you and not because of this arrangement or business or anything. I might be making a fool of myself for even saying any of this because I’m not even sure if you feel the same way but I needed to tell you this and if I didn’t do it now I would have lost my nerve --”
Misha leaned forward and took her face in his hands. He pressed his lips to hers, effectively cutting her off, and she wrapped her arms around his waist -- pulling him closer.
“I was going to say something to you about how I felt,” he said when they parted, “but I didn’t want to scare you off.”
“I get it,” she smiled, “so where do we go from here? Are we actually going to do this, for real?”
He nodded and kissed her again. “We’re actually gonna do this, if you want to that is.”
“I really, really do.”
Now that their feelings were out in the open and they decided to give it a shot all of the anxiousness and tension between them was gone. Knowing that Finn wasn’t going to be held for long Misha didn’t hesitate in saying yes when Adeline asked him to spend the night. After making sure the door to the apartment was locked and there was no way Finn could get in the new couple made their way to bed.

Finding the perfect name for your newborn baby may take some time and careful consideration, but it can also be very interesting.
In fact, it's one of the first and biggest decisions you have to make as a new parent. Are you looking for a son to speak of a family tradition or celebrate a cultural tradition? Whatever your approach, you'll find lots of great options on the following list of the 1,000 most popular boys, according to Social Security Administration (SSA). Take a look to help you narrow down your favorites list (or inspire new ones) and enjoy the experience of finding your favorite name for your new son.

Text
Film.
“Home is where your heart is.” Die Luft die du atmest, was du isst was du trinkst, was du erlebst.
- John, The Green Mile (1999)

Part Six
Master List
Pairing: Misha x OFC / Jensen x OFC Word Count: 1,706 Warnings: language, drinking A/N: Here’s part six of mine and Nicole’s (@iwantthedean) collab! Hope you guys like it! Anyway, feedback for this is awesome! :)
“Are you nervous?” Adeline asked Boden as she fastened her earrings.
“Why would I be nervous?” Bo asked as she slipped on her shoes.
“Because this is technically our first public appearance with Jensen and Misha, and it’s the party for the show’s 200th episode,” Adeline stated, applying her lipstick, “this could make or break our cover.”
“Well now I’m nervous, thanks for that.”
 “Sorry.”
Boden double checked her makeup and Adeline slipped on her shoes before Misha sent her a text saying they were outside waiting for them. When the girls reached the car they noticed the two men were dressed to the nines and the girls were happy they’d decided to dress fancier than they normally would have.
 “You girls ready?” Jensen asked.
“I guess,” Adeline shrugged, “not entirely sure what to expect.”
“Lots of photographers and lots of alcohol,” Misha smirked.
It wasn’t long before the car was pulling up to the venue and the couples were being helped out of the vehicle. Once they were at the entrance to the red carpet they paired off and walked down the carpet toward the entrance. Boden and Jensen went first, walking arm-in-arm past the photographers and journalists, stopping every few feet to take pictures and answer questions. It wasn’t long before the handler was ushering Misha and Adeline down the same path as their friends. They posed for the cameras and answered the questions but in the back of her mind Adeline knew they weren’t selling themselves as a couple as well as Jensen and Boden were.
She pushed it from their mind once they made it into the building, however, and met up with the rest of the cast and crew. They spent most of the night mingling, drinking, and posing for various pictures -- Adeline never leaving Misha’s side in case a journalist decided to ask him about his recent break up with Charlotte -- and the night was going well. After sitting through a screening of the episode things seemed to be dying down.
Misha grabbed Adeline another glass of wine and a photographer stopped them for a picture. They were the picture of perfection, her dress matching his tie, smiling like they were happier than they’d ever been but Adeline could tell the press wanted something more. Working for the press had her in tune with what they wanted and she knew they weren’t getting their top story from them even though both her and Misha were trying their hardest.
As they mingled with Jensen and Boden along with some of the other cast and crew Adeline noticed that one of the photographers had their eye on them. She took a sip of her drink and tugged on Misha’s arm. He looked over at her and she motioned for him to listen to her. He leaned down toward her and she whispered in his ear.
 “Kiss me,” she stated.
“What?” he asked, taken aback, though he wasn’t showing it.
“Kiss me,” she repeated, “we’re not giving them what they want. They don’t believe we’re actually a couple. You have to kiss me.”
Without a second thought Misha turned to her and grabbed her face in his hands. He pulled her close and pressed his lips against hers. Adeline wrapped her arms around his neck, being careful not to spill her drink, and melted into the kiss. Under any other circumstance she would have played it off as good acting but she couldn’t help but notice that there was something else there. She pushed herself closer to him and deepened the kiss, surprising herself.
From the minute she met Misha she knew they would be friends, there was no denying that, but there was no way she could have anticipated the way she felt while she was kissing him. It was like nothing she’d ever experienced before. It was like they fit. Like two pieces of a puzzle that were missing and had finally been placed back together. Adeline wasn’t sure how long they were standing there, practically intertwined, but the sound of Boden clearing her throat pulled them apart. Adeline cleared her throat and tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear before slipping her fingers into Misha’s and looking over at her friend.
Boden was smirking at her, one eyebrow raised, and all Adeline could do was blush. It was clear that her and Misha’s kiss lasted far longer than the time frame of the photographer taking their picture and all Adeline could do was smile at her friend before finishing off her glass of wine.
“What do you think that was about?” Jensen asked in a low voice.
Boden shrugged. “Probably because the press is looking at all four of us like we’re playing a game here.”
 “Really? You can tell that.”
“Technically, I am the press,” Boden reminded him. “Hey, do you want to play a drinking game with me?”
Jensen raised his brow. “A drinking game? I don’t know …”
 “Pansy.”
Her immediate question of his courage, however teasing her smile might have been, caught Jensen off-guard. He laughed and put an arm around her, deciding the press deserved a show.
“I’m just saying, you’ve already had a few drinks, Bo. I don’t want you puking in front of all these people.”
Boden rolled her eyes. “Trust me, Ackles, I can hold my liquor. You in or not?”
Jensen took one look at her smile, the excited sparkle in her eyes, and gave in. “All right, Emerson. You’re on.”
“Good,” Boden said, clapping a little. She ordered two shots from the bartender, then handed one to Jensen. “Every time Misha and Addy ham it up for the press, we take a shot.”
 “A shot? Not a drink?”
“Nope,” Boden shook her head. “Shots.”
“All right, you’re the commissioner here,” Jensen sighed, clinking his glass with hers. “To … uh … eternal happiness.”
Boden giggled before downing her shot. Jensen downed his, too, then resumed his position with an arm around her waist. If Misha and Adeline could ham it up, he could make this thing with Boden look real, too.
As it turned out, when Boden said she could hold her liquor, she meant more specifically that she wasn’t going to puke. She could not however, refrain from getting ridiculously drunk. By the time the party was wrapping up, she was giggling at everything, and there was no way she could walk on her own.
The majority of legitimate reporters had filtered out sometime earlier, and most of the press that was left were borderline-paparazzi reporters who wouldn’t hesitate to get the worst possible picture of Boden in her drunken state. Jensen was loving her drunken antics, but he wasn’t about to let anyone sabotage her on a night when she was just trying to have fun.
“Hey, Misha,” Jensen said, nudging his friend. “I’ve got to get her out of here, but there’s no way she’s going to walk out on her on her own two feet.”
“Yeah, whose fault is that?” Misha asked, giving Jensen a mischievous smirk.
Jensen rolled his eyes. “Yours, you ass. We were taking a shot for every time you and Adeline hammed it up for the press after that kiss, and -- okay, maybe I didn’t take all the shots I was supposed to, but Boden did. Anyway. You. It’s your fault.”
That sobered up Misha’s expression a little bit as Addy walked with her friend back to their group from the bathroom. Addy sighed as Jensen took Boden, pulling her close against his side.
“We can’t let them see her like this,” Addy said. “There’s a couple people still here that we know.”
Searching the crowd, Jensen found the face he was looking for and pulled out his cell phone. After a quick call and a code word, he informed them that in five minutes, Clif would be waiting for them at the back entrance.
“How did you do that?” Adeline asked.
“Yes, how did you do that?” Misha echoed.
“Are you kidding me? Clif and I have had that backup plan in place for years, in case I overdo it at a party or a bar or -- anywhere I need to get away from, really.” He adjusted his arm around Boden’s waist and looked down at her. “Ready, slugger?”
 Boden giggled. “Yeah. Ready.”
She headed for the main exit, but Jensen carefully redirected her toward the back. In order to help out, Misha and Adeline wrapped up their drinks as well, and made their exit through the front door.
Halfway to the back door, Boden stopped and took off her shoes. Jensen took one look at the floor and knew it wasn’t clean enough for her to be walking barefoot, so he took her shoes in one hand and lifted her into his arms, one arm supporting her back and one supporting her legs. Boden leaned her head against his shoulder and mumbled to herself all the way until Jensen carefully placed her in the back of Clif’s car, then slid onto the seat with her.
“We should try it,” Boden said, looking up at him.
 “Try what?” Jensen asked.
 “Misha and Addy.”
Jensen was confused. “We should try Misha and Addy?”
“No,” Boden giggled. “They kissed. And I think they really enjoyed it. We should try that, too.”
Jensen’s brow nearly hit his hairline. He glanced at the front seat, where Clif was strategically pretending not to know what was happening in the backseat.
“Kiss me, Jay,” Boden whispered, leaning against his shoulder.
Clearing his throat, Jensen hooked one finger under her chin and tilted her mouth up to him. He licked his lips and considered asking her if she was sure she wanted this; the thought of losing his chance to kiss her, though, was causing some sudden panic to tighten his chest.
It took another deep breath and a slight surge in courage, but Jensen softly pressed his lips against Boden’s. After that initial kiss, he pulled back just a little to gauge her reaction. Boden pulled his mouth back to hers, and they didn’t part again until Clif cleared his throat and announced they were in front of Boden’s apartment building.

So viel los dort, so viele Menschen.
Vierter Stock.
Ach Berlin. In dir tobt kein Wald. Du träumst, in modernster Weise nun vom „Waldbaden“. Entschleunigung pur.
Ach, alles Geschwurbel.

The morning after the 200th episode party, Adeline laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, her mind running a mile a minute. She couldn't stop thinking about her kiss with Misha and what it meant. What scared her the most was how badly she wanted it to happen again. This was not part of the plan. She was just supposed to get on set and write her article not develop feelings for Misha.
She tried her best to push the thoughts from her mind and climbed out of bed to make herself some coffee. What she really wanted to do was talk to Boden about it but she knew her friend needed to sleep off the copious amount of alcohol she'd consumed the night before. So instead of waking Boden up Adeline poured herself a cup of coffee and sat down on the couch. She grabbed her laptop and opened up the document containing her notes for the Supernatural article and did her best to jot some things down about the party.
She hoped that would help take her mind off of Misha and force her to focus on work but it was doing the exact opposite. Instead of thinking about what needed to go into the article she found herself wondering if Misha was up yet and what his plans for the day were.
“Get it together, Adeline,” she mumbled to herself and shut the laptop.
When Boden finally emerged from her bedroom a few hours later she saw Adeline lying on the couch staring at her phone. She watched for a minute and saw her type something out then delete it and lock her phone before unlocking it and opening her message app again.
“You ok?” Boden asked.
“Oh! You’re up!” Adeline said sitting up on the couch to look at her friend, “Yeah, I’m ok. I think. Get some coffee and then we can talk about it.”
Boden nodded and poured herself a cup before walking back into the living room. She took a seat on the couch next to her friend and looked over at her, waiting for an explanation. With a sigh Adeline ran her fingers through her hair and tried to figure out the best way to explain what she was feeling.
“I should not have kissed him last night,” she said, finally, “I don’t know what I was thinking.”
“You were thinking we’re treading on thin ice with this arrangement and you needed to sell it,” Boden pointed out, “unless that’s not what you mean.”
“It’s not,” Adeline sighed and leaned her head back on the couch, “I don’t think the decision was the wrong one, for the sake of our arrangement, I think it was wrong for the sake of my feelings.”
Boden’s eyes went wide when she suddenly realized what her friend was saying.
“Oh no,” Boden said and Adeline nodded, “Addy! You can’t be falling for him.”
“You don’t think I know that! It’s just...I don’t know. I’m freaking out. I don’t think I’ve felt this way about someone, ever.”
Boden thought for a minute while Adeline went to get herself another cup of coffee. By the time she’d come back in the living room Boden thought she had some answers for her.
“I think the best thing to do is try and distance yourself from him,” she offered, “just go to the set. Hide out in his trailer while he’s filming. Don’t hang out at their apartment unless Jensen is there too. Keep it as professional as possible until the article is finished and then go from there.”
Adeline nodded, agreeing that was probably the best way to handle the situation, even though she wasn’t happy about it. Her head was telling her one thing but it seemed like her heart was telling her another. Lucky for her, after Finn, she started listening to her head over her heart.
“Besides,” Boden added, “it’s not like you got drunk and made out with him.”
She gave Addy a sideways glance, waiting to see if her friend would catch on to her tone. Addy was a very smart woman, and Boden’s meaning behind the subtle statement didn't escape her understanding.
“You didn’t!”
Boden was redder than she had ever been. “I wish I had been just a little more drunk so I didn’t remember it. Jensen is probably going to think I’m some sort of slut, throwing myself at him like I did. But it’s your fault anyway.”
Addy frowned. “My fault? How do you figure that?”
“Well, we were talking about how you and Misha were hamming it up for our media peers, dear friend, and decided we would take a shot for every time you two did something just for the press. Of course, at the time, I didn’t know it was real.”
“It wasn’t.”
“Right. That’s why we are having to discuss you distancing from Misha.”
Addy threw a pillow at Boden who just laughed and took her coffee cup to the kitchen.
Jensen ran a hand through his hair and switched from crap television over to sports highlights. He couldn’t help but think about that first kiss with Boden the night before, before it turned into the kind of makeout session he hadn’t been part of since high school.
Misha, who had been pacing the apartment for the better part of an hour, finally stopped in the hall, leaned his forehead against the doorframe leading into the living room, and let out the most pitiful sigh.
“I think I want to take Adeline on a date.”
“So take her on a date,” Jensen replied, his eyes not leaving ESPN. “I'm sure it'll just lock things in even more with the press.”
“No, no,” Misha said, shaking his head and falling into a nearby chair. “I mean I want to take her out. On a date. For real.”
That finally got Jensen’s attention. Maybe there was a way to also take Boden out and see if what had happened the night before meant anything, without letting on to anyone that he was curious enough after kissing her to find out if he had inadvertently taken advantage of her, or if it could be something real between them.
“Well, why don't we just say it’s part of the arrangement? There's no reason why the girls or anyone else has to know you're falling for this girl,” Jensen suggested.
“We?”
Jensen shrugged. “Yeah, we can make it a double date. Then it’ll really seem like it’s part of our deal, but you can pull out all the stops.”
“What's in it for you?” Misha asked, his voice laced with skepticism.
“Nothing. Just trying to help you out, man.”
Misha thought it over and decided it was as a good of an idea as any. “Next time we see them, I'm going to bring it up.”
Jensen gave a non-committal nod and turned back to ESPN. This was certainly becoming a win-win situation.
The next time they saw the girls, however, both Boden and Adeline seemed to be in a bad mood. Neither of them were very talkative, and as soon as they were on set, they holed up in Misha’s trailer, claiming they had a lot of work to do on the article.
The girls stayed away the entire day of filming. This time it was Misha who had a later day than Jensen. He offered to drive Boden home, but she assured him she would be fine.
“I'll just wait with Addy.”
Finally frustrated enough with her sudden distance from him, Jensen took her by the hand and dragged her out of Misha’s trailer.
“Can I talk to you,” Jensen said, not meaning it at all as a question. Once they were outside, Boden tore her arm from his grip.
“What the hell, Jensen?”
“I could ask you the same damn thing! You've avoided me all day, when the last time we saw each other, you were shoving your very drunk tongue down my throat!”
Boden’s gumption fell, along with her shoulders. “I know, and I'm sorry. I just -- I'm embarrassed, all right? I was drunk and I pretty much threw myself at you! I acted like an idiot when I'm supposed to be a professional.”
Jensen rolled his eyes. “That's all you're worried about?”
“It's not a little thing, Jay.”
“No, you're right. It's not.” Feeling his own gumption rise, he took a step closer to her and caressed her cheek before putting both hands in his pockets. “But you don't need to be embarrassed, Bo. I thought you were actually entirely adorable when you were drunk.”
“Really?”
“Really,” he nodded. “Now come on. I'll take you for another barbecue bacon burger if you let me take you home. You know you don't want to wait out here.”
“I really don't,” Boden sighed. She chewed on her lip while she thought it over - something else Jensen found positively adorable. “All right. Let me get my stuff and tell Addy. But no funny business, Ackles!”
Jensen chuckled and promised he would behave -- after reminding her their makeout session had been her idea.
Meanwhile, Addy was awkwardly trying to ignore Misha, who was waiting for his next set call. She pretended to be engrossed in her computer screen, but knew Misha saw right through her facade.
“Chances are he’s going to convince her to go with him,” Misha said, breaking the silence.
“Yeah. Jensen is pretty charming that way.”
Misha licked his lips. “Guess I'm trying to figure out if you're gonna stick around if that happens, or leave with Boden.”
Addy didn't want to leave, but she wasn't sure her heart would be safe if she stayed. So, she gave him a vague answer and hoped Misha would assume one way or the other and choose for her.
“I have a lot of work to do.”
Misha nodded. “I mean, you don't have to come to the set -- I am filming this pretty cool stunt though. Doing it myself. You know, could be good for the article.”
Boden came in then, quickly gathered her things, and told Addy she was leaving.
“I'm gonna stay,” Adeline answered, before she had a chance to change her mind. “If Misha doesn't mind.”
“I don't mind,” he assured.
“Great,” Boden said, giving her a look that clearly meant be careful. “I'll see you at home.”
When Boden was gone, Addy went back to her laptop. She glanced at Misha only once, and that's when he saw it in her eyes: fear. Not the same fear as when Finn showed up at her apartment, but a different kind. The kind that let Misha know, maybe Adeline was feeling the same way that he felt.

Boden Emerson rushed onto the elevator just behind her co-worker and friend, Adeline Brooks. She switched her bag to the other shoulder, and let out a deep breath.
“Cutting it a little close, Bo,” Adeline teased.
“Shut it,” Boden smiled. “I woke up late.”
Adeline shrugged as the elevator reached the floor for Exclusive. “Just as well. I didn't feel like getting extra dressed up for this meeting with Kelly.”
“It didn't even cross my mind,” Bo snorted.
The two women made way for their neighboring cubicles, unloading their bags and whatnot. They took the time to catch up on emails before it was time to head to their editor’s office.
Kelly Clarke, editor of Exclusive, looked like she would be the editor of a big time magazine. Think Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada but just slightly less intimidating. So it was no surprise to Bo and Addy that she didn’t smile at them in greeting when they walked into her office.
“Have a seat,” she said, peering over her computer monitor at the two women in front of her. “Girls, I'm concerned. Your articles are still getting great reviews, but they're not the reason people read Exclusive anymore. A plateau in work is not something I like to see among my writers.”
Addy and Bo exchanged a glance, not sure what was coming next. They knew, however, that it was best not speak until they were prompted, and Kelly had said all she needed to say.
“Supernatural is coming up on it’s tenth season -- that's where the entertainment buzz is at. I want you to get in there, be on set, get me something good. Something I can put on the front cover of the magazine.”
Bo ventured to ask a question. “You want to know what a day on set is like?”
“I want the nitty-gritty,” Kelly corrected. “I want to know what's happening in their personal lives, the sacrifices they make for these shows and the conventions they attend. I want to know the things they don't tell anyone else -- that is Exclusive, after all.”
“With all due respect, Kelly, they film on a closed set. We have tried multiple times before to get on for interviews and stuff, and it's always a hard no.”
“I suppose that is your challenge, not mine,” Kelly responded matter-of-factly. “Don't let me down, girls.”
The two younger women took that as their cue to leave. Just outside of Kelly’s office, they exchanged a worried glance; this was going to be no easy feat.
“You want to try e-mailing the PR people for the thousandth time or should I?” Adeline asked as she sat down at her desk.
Boden sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, leaning against the entrance to Adeline’s cubicle. “I’ll give it a shot. They’re just going to say no. I honestly don’t know what Kelly expects us to do. We’ve been trying to get on that set for years.”
“Maybe if we try a different approach?” Addy suggested, “We could always contact the actors’ managers directly and try to set up an interview. That worked for us with The Walking Dead.”
“Yeah, but Reedus and Lincoln’s PR people weren’t such pains in the ass,” Bo pointed out, “but I guess it’s worth a shot. You try Padalecki’s manager and I’ll reach out to Ackles’s.”
Adeline nodded and Boden went back to her cubicle. Adeline was able to find out the contact information for Jared Padalecki’s manager easily and within minutes had the e-mail drafted and sent. Just for good measure she sent a similar e-mail to Misha Collins’s manager as well, hoping that three separate e-mails to each of the stars’ teams would work out in their favor. All that was left to do was wait for a response.
In an attempt to distract themselves from impatiently checking their e-mails for responses Adeline and Boden went about their daily routines and finished up the current articles they were working on. Finishing them well before their deadline, something they were both good at, gave them the afternoon free to figure out alternate solutions to their Supernatural problem if the management teams gave them negative responses like they were anticipating.
“Padalecki’s people got back to me,” Addy said, checking her phone as the pair walked down the street to grab some lunch, “hard no from them. Still waiting to hear from Collins. Anything on Ackles?”
“Nothing yet, but I think we already know the answers we’re going to get,” Bo replied, “I’m starting to feel like sending out these e-mails was pointless.”
“Yeah,” Addy sighed, “me too.”
By the time they had finished their lunch and got back to their respective cubicles both Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins’ management teams had given them answers. Just like the e-mail from Jared’s team the managers had declined their requests. It was starting to feel like the women would need some sort of miracle to get onto that set and get Kelly what she wanted. They may have been two of her best journalists but that didn’t mean she would have any qualms about firing them if they didn’t at least get her something.
“We should just move to Vancouver,” Bo sighed. “At least then we would have the benefit of being closer to the studio lot.”
Adeline’s brow lifted. “I mean, it's not the worst idea you've ever had.”
“I wasn't being serious, Addy. We have work here to do, too. We can't just up and move to another country.”
“Says who? We can do all of our other work from any location. We can come back here if necessary, to check in. We have to do something.”
Boden thought it over and realized there were no strings holding them down. “Should we talk to Kelly first?”
“I think our best bet is to just tell her we’re going,” Adeline replied, “because then she knows we have a plan.”
“Good call!”
When five o’clock rolled around the next day the girls had told Kelly they were going and everything else was in the works. They had managed to secure a two bedroom apartment and the only thing left for them to do was pack up their belongings and make the trip.
Misha Collins had just finished packing the last of his ex-girlfriend’s things into boxes and was preparing to move them out to the hallway for her to pick them up later that night when his cellphone rang. Hoping it wasn’t Charlotte, he sighed and grabbed himself a beer from the fridge before grabbing his phone from the counter to answer it. Once glance at the screen told him it was his friend and co-star, Jensen Ackles, calling and he answered.
“Hey, Jay, what’s up?”
“Lindsey just left.”
Misha stopped in his tracks. “Like went out for a bite to eat or she’s gone?”
“As in Charlotte called her earlier today, told her how great it was to be -- and I quote -- ‘liberated’ from the entire Supernatural fandom and family, and Lindsey took that and ran with it. I know she’s been having trouble for a while, coping and all that, but I never thought she’d actually leave.”
“Hey, I'm sorry, man. Can't help but feel like maybe I'm to blame for this.”
“Not at all,” Jensen assured. “Their loss right?”
“Yeah, right.” Neither man sounded entirely convinced. “Why don't you come by for some beers? I'm moving all of Charlotte’s shit to the hall then I'm down to forget everything.”
“Sounds good to me. Lindsey took all her crap already, so I'll head out in a few.”
Jensen told Misha he’d see him soon and disconnected the call. While he waited for his friend to arrive Misha went through the apartment, room by room, to make sure he hadn't missed any of Charlotte’s things. By the time he'd collected the few things he'd missed and put them in another box, Jensen was knocking on his door.
They settled in with a couple of beers and talked for a while about where they'd gone wrong. Charlotte had found another man to hold her attention, and Lindsey just couldn't take being in the spotlight all the time -- it was too much chaos for her. Both men felt that it all boiled down to something wrong with them; they just weren't enough.
Jensen groaned after a few beers as a new realization hit him. “My lease is up in a couple weeks. Guess I know now why Lindsey didn't want to renew or look for a new place.”
“Just move in here,” Misha suggested. “I've got two rooms anyway, and I'm gonna guess our single asses will be hanging out together a lot more anyway for a while. Might as well save some money and split the rent.”
“Can't complain about saving money,” Jensen shrugged. “Count me in.”

The morning of their first day on set Adeline and Boden were up before sunrise. Jensen and Misha had an early call time and told the girls they would be picking them up on their way to the studio. The girls had offered to drive themselves but until they learned their way around and obtained permanent visitors passes for the set, the men insisted they get picked up.
“It’s too early,” Boden whined, making her way into the kitchen for a cup of coffee sluggishly.
“Mmhmm,” Adeline nodded as she poured a cup of the steaming liquid for her friend.
After having a cup of coffee both girls were much more awake. Not entirely sure what was considered appropriate to wear for a day on set they both got dressed in something casual, but comfortable. Just after 5:15, Boden received a text from Jensen letting her know it was time to go. The girls left their apartment and made their way out to the tinted out SUV that was parked in front of the building. They glanced at each other and smirked, making a mental note about the SUV before Bo opened the back door and let Adeline climb inside first.
Jensen was seated in the front seat while Misha was in the back. They both looked just as tired as the girls, but the two men smiled at them in greeting all the same. The drive to the studio lot was shorter than the girls anticipated and before they knew it they were climbing out of the SUV and Jensen and Misha were leading them to a row of trailers. They walked in silence, all still tired from having to get up so early, until they reached one of the trailers.
“We figured you guys should meet Jared first,” Jensen said, “you’ll be seeing him a lot more than anyone else.”
The girls nodded and Jensen knocked on the trailer door. It took a few moments, but Jared appeared in the doorway, ducking down to avoid hitting his head.
“Hey, guys. Morning.” He shared a man-hug with Misha and Jensen, inviting them into the trailer, then noticed the two women in tow. “Have we met?”
“This is Adeline Brooks and Boden Emerson,” Misha introduced, gesturing to each newcomer. “Jay and I are … seeing them, kind of. They’ll be on set for a while, working on some things for an article.”
“An article?” Jared raised his brow.
“Bo and Addy work for Exclusive magazine,” Jensen explained. “Since they’re going to be around you more than anyone else, we wanted you to meet them first.”
Jared’s brow fell into a frown. “And you’ve cleared this?”
“Yeah, don’t worry about it,” Misha assured, slapping Jared on the shoulder.
Misha left to his own trailer, and Addy followed him out. Boden thought maybe she should follow when Jensen stayed behind to talk to Jared, but her curiosity kept her rooted to the spot.
“What’s the problem?” Jensen asked.
Jared glanced at Boden. “We can talk about it later.”
“No,” Jensen pushed, “whatever we need to talk about, you can tell me in front of Boden. I don’t have any secrets from her.”
“Fine. I think this is bullshit. I think you and Misha dating these girls is absolute bullshit. Sorry, Boden I just -- this isn’t like them. To have a breakup from a serious relationship one day and what, like a week later, be dating some magazine writers who happen to be getting some article from stuff on set? I’m not buying it.”
Jensen snorted. “Wow. I’m honestly shocked, man. I thought we were close enough that you’d just be happy I found someone to at least help me get over Lindsey. I’m not saying that’s what this is,” he told Boden before turning back to Jared, “but if it is, then I’m gonna need you there to remind me that there’s still hope after Lindsey, and after this. Misha, too. We just need you to keep being our friend, man, not judge us for how we choose to fix things.”
With that, he slammed out of Jared’s trailer, taking Boden by the hand. She wasn’t sure where they were headed, and she was having trouble keeping up with his long strides. Finally catching on that he was basically dragging her across the lot, Jensen stopped and apologized.
“If anything I said in there offended you …”
Boden shook her head. “No, it’s fine. Really. Listen, I know you and Jared are close, and I don’t want to come between the two of you. If we need to re-think this, I’ll talk to Addy. I’m sure we can figure something else out.”
Jensen shook his head and chucked her lightly under the chin. “No, it’s fine. We’ll get past it. Friends disagree, certainly isn’t the first time Jared and I have argued over something. Come on. I’ll show you where my trailer is.”
Adeline and Boden weren’t sure what to expect from a day on set but they definitely weren’t expecting it to be so long. They’d been there for over twelve hours and by the time Jensen and Misha were finished for the day the girls were more than ready to get back to their apartment, change into some sweats, and do nothing. So to say they were disappointed when Boden got a call from their landlord saying they had to stay out of the apartment for a few hours due to maintenance was the understatement of the year.
“You can always come back to our place,” Misha offered, “we were probably just going to order a pizza or something.”
“Are you sure?” Adeline asked, “We wouldn’t want to impose. I mean you’ve basically been stuck with us all day.”
“It’s fine, really,” Misha laughed.
Addy glanced at Bo who just shrugged and the girls agreed to spend the next couple hours at the guys’ apartment. The next couple of hours were spent enjoying each other’s company without having to worry about the stipulations of their arrangement. It was the first time since they’d met the men that Boden and Adeline felt like they were actually getting to know them. They were also starting to realize that they genuinely liked them, which was something they were not expecting.
The evening was going surprisingly well. They were all seated around the coffee table, beers in hand, playing a rousing game of Cards Against Humanity when there was a knock on the door. Misha started to get up to go answer the door when a woman walked into the living room.
“You don’t live here anymore, Charlotte, you can’t just walk in,” Misha sighed.
“Well I knocked,” Charlotte said, looking between Adeline and Boden, “but I guess you were having too much fun in here to hear it.”
“Uh, hi,” Adeline said, standing up and extending her hand out to Charlotte. “I’m Adeline.”
The other woman completely ignored Adeline’s offer of a handshake. “Charlotte. You look comfortable.”
Adeline looked down at her current attire; she was wearing her own Pink Floyd shirt and a pair of Misha’s sweats. They were baggy on her, but oh-so-comfortable. Boden was in her own shirt as well, but had borrowed some pajama pants from Jensen.
“What are you here for, anyway?” Misha asked, tired of his ex-girlfriend’s presence already. “Shouldn’t you be with Pablo or whatever the hell his name is?”
“Brought back my key,” Charlotte said, setting it on the coffee table. “And his name is Peter, not that it’s any of your business.”
“It was my business when you started sleeping with him before you and I split up!” Misha shot back.
“You know, I’ll bet our apartment is all set to go,” Adeline said, tugging on Boden’s arm. “We should go and let you two have some privacy.”
Charlotte stood in their way. “Wait a second. I know you two -- you work for Exclusive.”
Adeline’s entire demeanor changed. She stood a little straighter and crossed her arms over her chest. “That’s right, we do. From what I hear, Misha’s been really good about not letting anyone know about the slut move you made when you left him -- oh, and when you took Jensen’s girlfriend with you on the way out. How about you leave him the hell alone, and I’ll make sure your indiscretions don’t end up in our magazine?”
“Is that a threat?” Charlotte narrowed her eyes at Adeline.
Adeline chuckled. “Oh, sweetheart. It’s a promise. And I always take my promises very seriously.”
Charlotte considered the other woman very carefully before turning on her heel and leaving the apartment. The door slammed shut behind her, and things in the apartment were quiet for a few moments.
“Well,” Boden said, “we’ve certainly made a splash with a few people on our first day.”
“We really should go,” Adeline added.
Misha shook his head. “No, stay. Let’s finish our beers and the game. She’ll get over it.”
“Or she’ll drag Lindsey into it again,” Jensen sighed, holding up his phone to show the numerous text messages flooding in from his ex.
“They’ll get over it. I’ll be right back, just need a minute.”
He left the group then, walking out to the balcony. Adeline knew she should consider her next move carefully, but before she really thought about it, she was following him out through the slider and into the night air.
“I’m sorry if overstepped any boundaries in there,” she said, leaning against the railing to face him.
“You didn’t,” he said, giving her a small smile, “thanks for what you did back there, I didn’t realize she didn’t leave her key when she left and I was definitely not really prepared to see her again.”
“Don’t mention it. I get it,” she smiled.
Not wanting to dwell on the subject any further Misha suggested they go back inside and finish the game before the girls went back to their apartment. Addy agreed that was a good idea and followed him back into the apartment. They spent another hour playing the game before Boden pointed out that they really needed to get home. Knowing that they had another early morning the next day, followed by another full day on set, Jensen and Misha agreed that it was probably a good idea to call it quits for the night. Jensen offered to give them a ride back to their apartment but not wanting to impose on them more than necessary the girls called an Uber and a few minutes later made the short drive back home.

“Doing okay?” Jensen asked Boden.
She nodded. “Yeah, getting used to be out here late, I think.”
Jensen gave her a small smile and waited for the reset to finish. Hopefully they could get this done in the next couple of takes, then he and Boden could both get home. He was sure she would get bored or be exhausted, though she never showed signs of either.
They did indeed wrap filming in less than hour. Boden followed Jensen back to his trailer, patiently waiting for him to change and be ready to leave the lot.
“Big plans tonight?” Jensen teased.
Boden smiled but shrugged. “Nah. I'm not really tired though, and our kitchen is pretty bare. Maybe I'll find a late-night grocery store and do some stocking up.”
“So you're telling me,” Jensen said, climbing into the passenger seat of her SUV, “that at this time of night, you're going to drive around Vancouver trying to find an open grocery store?”
“I'll GPS it,” Boden laughed. “You make it sound like I'm navigating the Bermuda Triangle.”
“I've seen your navigation skills, so you might as well be,” Jensen replied. “We need some stuff for the bachelor pad anyway. I'll go with you.”
Boden shrugged. “Okay, but I have a long list.”
Jensen assured her it was fine, and helped her find her way to the store. They parked close to the front door, got one cart to share, then got to shopping.
Since they had been around each other so much over the last few weeks, Boden could feel herself becoming more comfortable around Jensen. She enjoyed his company and actually liked being on set. More than once he had given her some help with her article notes, and he always made sure she was comfortable while she was on the lot with him.
“Did you and Addy come to Vancouver to find me and Misha?” Jensen asked, out of the blue.
Boden shrugged. “Not necessarily for you two specifically. After we got turned down from the managers and whatnot, we thought maybe if we relocated here for a while, we would have a greater chance of getting our article. Just worked out that we saw you moving into Misha’s.”
“Worked out for both of us, I guess.”
Boden nodded and crossed off some produce items from her list. “Oh, I need chocolate chips.”
“Making cookies?”
“I could,” Boden said, “but I've had a hankering for banana chocolate chip pancakes.”
Jensen tilted his head. “That's a thing?”
“Hell yes it's a thing!” Boden laughed. “Be at my place for breakfast sometime, Ackles. These pancakes will change your world.”
“Guess I'll have to wake up at your place one of these days then.”
He said it almost without thinking, and more flirtatiously than he intended for it to come out. It stopped both of them in their tracks; Jensen with a blush tainting his cheeks and Boden with wide, shocked eyes.
“Sorry, Bo, I didn't mean …”
She recovered and cleared her throat. “No, it's fine. We can joke around. No big deal.”
They moved on in silence for a while longer, each one picking things off the shelves here and there. Boden was beginning to feel the tension of the awkward silence, so she ventured into more personal territory.
“What happened with you and Lindsey, anyway?”
Jensen turned to look at her. “You really want to know?”
“Yes,” Boden frowned. She wouldn't have asked otherwise. Then, she realized why he was asking. “I'm asking off the record, Jay. Not for the article.”
“First time you've called me anything other than Jensen,” he smiled, taking over pushing the cart. “Me and Lindsey -- we started out pretty well, actually. We met in Seattle, and hit it off right away. The whole spotlight deal though, that was never something she could get used to. After Charlotte left Misha for someone else, she told Lindsey how great it was being away from the Supernatural crowd. Fans, cast, crew, the whole shebang. So Lindsey split.”
Boden reached over to squeeze his arm. “I'm sorry she walked out on you. You're a good guy, and you deserve better.”
Jensen waited while she picked out a couple boxes of cereal. “You mean that?”
“I do,” Boden confirmed, putting the boxes in the cart. “And I know a good man when I see one.”
“Let me guess. You've got a really great guy back home, just waiting for this whole thing with you and I to be done?”
She laughed. “Not at all. My ‘great guy’ and I were together for five years. He proposed, I said yes. Then, on the night of our rehearsal dinner, I caught him in the bathroom with my now ex-best friend.”
“Ouch,” Jensen winced.
“Yeah,” Boden sighed. “That was just a year ago or so. You and I are the closest thing to dating I've tried since then.”
Jensen reached for her hand. “You deserve better too, you know.”
“Thanks,” Boden said.
His hand fell away from hers, and Boden found herself wishing he had hung on a little longer.
“What do you say we get this shopping done, then I'll take you somewhere with the best burgers in Vancouver?”
“I say that sounds like an excellent plan.” She was never one to turn down a good cheeseburger.
The cold items were going to have to hang on for a while; the two of them sat in the parking lot of Jensen’s and Misha’s apartment, downing some of the tastiest burgers Boden had ever indulged.
“Wow, don’t play it cool and take small bites or anything,” Jensen laughed when he saw Boden with a cheekful of cheeseburger.
She swallowed the large bite and took a long sip of her soda. “I do not play about barbecue bacon cheeseburgers, Jensen Ackles. This is delicious!”
“I told you,” he replied before biting into his own cheeseburger. “Lindsey would never have eaten cheeseburgers in a parking lot with me. Actually, in the few years we were together, I’m going to guess we didn’t even eat cheeseburgers together a handful of times.”
“That’s a sad story,” Boden teased, then said, seriously, “Unless you appreciated the fact that she didn’t eat like a dude, in which case I apologize for my unladylike eating habits.”
Jensen chuckled and wiped some ketchup from the corner of her mouth. “I’d take your cheeseburger hamster cheeks over Lindsey’s fine tastes any day, Bo.”
It was another moment that caught them both off-guard. Boden knew if he kept saying things like that, she was going to start believing him -- or, worse, wanting him to say those things. Jensen knew if he didn’t watch his mouth, Boden was going to think he was trying to actually make her his rebound after Lindsey, and that certainly wasn’t the case. He wasn’t trying to do anything but hold up his end of the bargain, but these little comments kept slipping off his tongue. He couldn't help but add one more comment before deciding to watch his mouth.
“Also, for the record, your ex was an idiot to cheat on and lose a woman who will eat cheeseburgers with that enthusiasm at two in the morning.”
Boden could help the blush that painted her cheeks as she giggled. “Well thank you, sir.”
They finished their cheeseburgers and sodas, and Jensen gathered the trash to throw away in the dumpster around the building. Boden walked with him, and they made small talk about the schedule the next day.
“You should sleep in a little,” Jensen offered. “Or at least come with us in the morning then go back to sleep in my trailer. We’re not shooting anything exciting first thing.”
“I might take you up on that,” she sighed. “I really am getting used to this schedule, but some extra sleep never hurt anyone.”
They fished out his grocery bags from the back of the SUV, and Boden helped him carry a couple up to the apartment. The place was dark; Jensen mentioned that it was weird that Misha wasn’t around.
“Maybe he and Addy are getting it on at our place,” Boden joked. Jensen raised a brow at her, causing her to laugh. “Don’t get any ideas, Ackles. This is a business arrangement, I’ll remind you.”
“Oh, in that case, I’ll rescind my offer of letting you sleep in my trailer tomorrow morning.”
“No!” Boden whined. “The couch in your trailer is actually amazingly comfortable.”
Jensen pulled her against his chest in a strong hug. “Keep giving me those puppy dog eyes, I’m just going to give the whole trailer over to you. Come on, I’ll walk you back down to your car.”
They walked side by side out to the SUV, and Jensen made sure Boden was safely inside before closing the door. He leaned against the open window and smiled.
“I really enjoyed hanging out with you tonight, Bo. Thanks for keeping me company.”
She smiled. “I had a good time. Thanks for showing me around the grocery store and cheeseburger scene.”
“See you in the morning, kid.”
Boden waved as she pulled away, trying to ignore the floating-on-air feeling she was currently experiencing. She reminded herself of what she had told Jensen: it was just a business agreement. Everything he said was more than likely a product of getting over Lindsey, and she was just the girl he was currently spending time with.
Her concern over her own feelings was completely surpassed when she saw Adeline and Misha asleep together on the couch in the girls’ apartment. Boden hadn’t seen a man escape an apartment so quick as Misha did, and she couldn’t wait to settle in to hear the story of Adeline’s evening.
When her friend wrapped up her story and asked how Boden’s night had been, Boden was sure to downplay the significance of her time with Jensen.

Misha Collins is live now.
Addy picked up her phone, a little surprised to see the notification. She thought she had turned them off when she left Vancouver, but she realized he just hadn’t done anything to be notified of since then. She glanced at Finn, then excused herself to the bathroom.
“... people still tuning in, so I’ll get started here soon, especially since it has been a while since I’ve done this. I think it’s going to be something all of you will be pretty surprised about. I should mention that I have not talked to anyone about doing this -- Jensen, the rest of the cast and crew, CW, my agent and manager -- no one. Months ago, Exclusive magazine put out an article written by Adeline Brooks and Boden Emerson. The way that the article started was shady, yes. Jensen and I had just been left by our girlfriends of the time, and we needed a way to save face. Addy and Bo needed an article from set, so we made a deal.”
Addy’s breath caught in her throat. This could go any number of ways right now, and she wasn’t sure which one would even be the best outcome.
Boden knocked on the door. “Addy? Addy, are you seeing this?”
Adeline opened the door and nodded. “Shh. I’m listening.”
She sat back down on the edge of the tub, and Boden leaned against the sink. Addy watched, and Boden just listened.
“Thing was, there’s always that one important rule in deals like this: you don’t fall in love. It was supposed to be strictly business. The more time we spent with Adeline and Boden, the more we got to know them, the more we realized it was all about timing. Our lives had fallen apart because they were coming to put them together. You’re all going to think I’m being a romantic, but nothing more romantic has happened in my life than my relationship with Adeline.”
Addy looked at Boden with tears in her eyes. The whole story was coming out, and she was more than a little overwhelmed.
“I panicked when the article came out. The girls’ editor added things from their notes in the beginning, including things Adeline and Boden had no intention of adding into the article. Kelly Clark implied that the only reason Boden and Adeline had been around was to get the article, that our entire relationship was a lie. Now, I can’t speak for Jensen, but I can speak to my relationship with Addy. You all have asked why I haven’t been around, and the reason is Addy. I’ve been -- I’m lost without her.”
He looked directly into the camera, and Addy felt as though he was staring right at her.
“Adeline, if you’re watching … I was wrong. I was so wrong to let you go. I should have at least heard you out, I should have been on your side. I should have done a lot of things differently. I don’t expect you to forgive me, especially now that -- well, Boden texted me. For your privacy, I’ll leave it at that. You shouldn’t be with him, though. You should be with me.”
“Addy?”
She looked up from her phone. Tears were gathering in her eyes. “Finn, I -- I’m sorry, I don’t …”
Finn grabbed the phone from her hand before throwing it against the wall. “Really? We just started fixing things and you’re already going behind my back with him?”
“It was just a video, Finn,” Boden defended.
Finn charged forward, but didn’t get far before Boden grabbed his shoulders and pulled him forward just enough so that she could drive her knee into his groin. While he was bent over, Adeline summoned up her anger and frustrations over everything he had done to her over the years and threw a strong punch across Finn’s face.
Boden looked at her in surprise for a second. “Wow. Way to go, Addy!”
“Thanks,” Addy said, feeling a huge weight lifted from her shoulders. “I need to get back to Vancouver.”
Boden nodded. “Yes, you do. We should get him out of our apartment first. You grab an arm and I’ll grab an arm.”
While Finn was still recovering from his pain, the girls dragged him outside the apartment door and shut it behind them. Addy clapped her hands together.
“This is good. Everything is coming back together!”
Boden nodded. “I’m happy for you, Addy. C’mon, let’s get you packed.”
“Wait!” Addy grabbed for Bo’s arm. “You’re coming with me. I can’t do this alone and you -- you need to talk to Jensen. Boden, he isn’t with Lindsey because he wants to be. There’s no way.”
Boden shook her head. “I'll go with you for support, but I don't want to see Jensen, and I'm sure he doesn't want to see me. I'll just stay in the hotel room.”
“No, you have to push me to the door. Then you can go.”
Boden smiled and nodded, anxious to help her friend, but also very interested in avoiding any further drama that involved Jensen Ackles.
The wait for their flight to Vancouver was filled with nerves and what-if’s. Both of the girls had to calm each other multiple times, and by the time they were on the plane, they were ready to sleep the travel time away.
When they landed at the airport, Boden worked on getting a rental car while Adeline tried to get a hold of Misha.
“Hey, it’s me … maybe that’s why I’m getting your voicemail. I’m on my way to your place, Misha. I saw the Facebook Live, and I -- we need to talk. Bo and I just landed in Vancouver -- maybe don’t tell Jensen because I don’t think she wants to see him, but once we have the rental car, we’re stopping at the hotel, then I’m going to come straight there. I just, I wanted to let you know.”
Once Boden secured the rental car the two women spent the entire drive from the airport to the hotel and then to Misha’s apartment in complete silence. It wasn’t until Boden pulled into the parking lot of the familiar building that either of them said anything at all.
“You ok?” Boden asked, turning the car off.
“Not really,” Adeline sighed, “I’m just so nervous and I’m not even sure what I want to say to him.”
“It’s gonna be fine,” Boden reassured, “you love him right?”
“You know I do.”
“Then just tell him.”
Adeline nodded and took a deep breath before climbing out of the car. Boden was right behind her as she made her way toward Misha’s apartment. He hadn’t called her back since she’d left that message and she was worried about what his reaction would be when he saw her. When they reached the door, with some reassurance from Boden, she raised her fist and knocked.
It didn’t take long for Misha to answer the door and when he saw her he looked confused at first, then smiled. Adeline wasn’t sure what she wanted to say to him and seeing him had her at a loss for words. She followed him into the apartment and before she could get a word out he started talking.
“I’m sorry, Addy. I shouldn’t have acted like that, I was being stupid and I was letting my doubts get the better of me. The last thing I wanted to do was ruin everything we had. Everything I said and did after the article was published wasn’t me, you know that. You know I’m not that person. I didn’t -- I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with you, Adeline. But I did. And it’s a love I will never get over. It’s you...or no one.”
Adeline looked at him in shock, his speech taking her off guard rendering her speechless. Boden, who was still standing in the doorway, was grinning from ear to ear.
“Kiss him you idiot!” she laughed.
Feeling a sudden wave of courage from her friend’s words she reached forward, grabbed his face in her hands, and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, effectively deepening the kiss.
“I’m sorry,” she finally said when they broke apart, “for everything that Kelly put in that article, you know I would never have published those things. If I’d had any idea that’s what she was going to do, I wouldn’t have let that happen. I love you too much to let anything ruin that and I’m sorry I didn’t fight harder for us when everything happened.”
“You don’t need to apologize, I’m the one who should be continuing to apologize.”
“There’s no need,” she said and kissed him again, “how about this. No more apologizing from either of us. We can just pretend like the last few months never happened.”
“I’m ok with that,” he grinned, pulling her closer for yet another kiss.
“Bo?”
Boden was still standing close to the doorway, grinning as her best friend worked things out with Misha. Up until she heard Jensen say her name, she hadn’t even known that Jensen was around -- with Lindsey right behind him.
“I’m sorry,” she said quickly. “Addy was coming to see Misha and needed some support. I really didn’t think I would see you, I just -- I’m going to go.”
With that, Boden turned and fled the apartment, quickly getting into the car and heading back for the hotel.

As successful as Adeline Brooks and Boden Emerson have been in their journalism careers,  they’ve yet to score that big, put-us-on-the-map kind of piece. They needed a front-page article like they needed air -- they needed Supernatural. Their connection falls into their laps when they stumble across a secret two of the show’s actors don’t want leaked to the media. Striking a bargain with the men, Adeline and Boden just might have finally found their big-time moment … you know, if they don’t fall in love first.

So viel los dort, so viele Menschen.
Vierter Stock.
Ach Berlin. In dir tobt kein Wald. Du träumst, in modernster Weise nun vom „Waldbaden“. Entschleunigung pur.
Ach, alles Geschwurbel.
