I keep thinking about a modern au where Din, as a single father of a kid with the worst sweet tooth ever, naturally decides to take up baking. It’s the easiest way to sate Grogu’s desire for sweets, and, well, turns out Din likes baking. And like. He gets good at it. Really good at it (mostly because his son is a gremlin and constantly demands Din to make sweets with the strangest flavor combinations and what’s Din gonna do? Tell him no? Din would rather shoot himself, thank you very much) And due to a series of events orchestrated by his terrible friends, Din ends up on a baking show (he’s not entirely sure how they managed to swing it—something about Boba being fuck buddies with the host? Din honestly wasn’t paying attention). Boba keeps telling him he’s gonna win. Din is convinced he’s going to leave on the first episode, because he’s a home baker and everyone else owns and/or works in bakeries and are, you know, actual professionals.

Din does not get booted on the first episode.

Or the second.

Or the third.

He, in fact, makes it to the final. And wins.

(Throughout the entire show, he is constantly asked how he keeps so calm and composed. His only response is I have a two-year old)
