Playtesting v4. I’m finding with each playtest I’m taking out as much as I’m putting in, but the game is starting to flow more smoothly as a result. I’m going to spend the next few days really thinking about what this game is, rather than just working on the basic mechanisms. For me the Oooh-Ahhh game of ProtoTO was this game system by P. D. Warne. The Larklamp Magic Lantern Game System is a lantern the projects a game board onto the table using light and shadow in a dark or dimly lit room. I should mention that I didn't get a chance to playtest the game and don't really know anything about how it plays - but it LOOKED very cool!!! Show and Tile was another fun game that I got to playtest at ProtoTO last weekend. Being developed by #PeterCHayward's Jellybean Games, you make words from plastic pieces and then get points if people can figure out what you were creating. Playtesting Animal Oddesey by Dustin Freeman, Cian Cruise, and Jan Streekstra at ProtoTO last weekend. My character, Davith pulls off the win by disrupting the other players pranks! Designer Day at #BoardGameBliss is a great chance to try out some exciting new board games being designed by local (and aspiring) designers. My highlight of the #GameDesigner Day at @BoardGameBliss was a super fun playtest of a drawing/auction game by #PamWalls (Founder of ProtoTO, www.ProtoTO.ca).
