Willy Dixson was an American blues musician, vocalist, songwriter, arranger and record producer. He was proficient in playing both the upright bass and the guitar, and sang with a distinctive voice, but he is perhaps best known as one of the most prolific songwriters of his time.
William 'Willy' James Dixson died on January 29, 1992 at the age of 76.

Left: in the prototype version of Super Mario World, the Boo Buddies were known as “Boo” Diddly, and the Big Boo was known as “Boo” Jackson.
Right: the finished version’s names for comparison.
The name “Boo” Diddly is a reference to blues/rock’n’roll musician Bo Diddley (this name also previously appeared in the North American Super Mario Bros. 3 manual, but not in-game), while “Boo” Jackson would have been a new reference to baseball and football player Bo Jackson.

Do you have any thoughts about the boundary between inspiration and plagiarism? I'm working on my own poem heavily inspired by "I HAVEN'T WRITTEN THIS ONE YET BUT I'M SURE I'LL THINK OF SOMETHING" about my own relationship with work and motivation. making a plea to several different gods and exploring how their domains match up with my executive dysfunction issues.
IHWTOYBISITOS has been my absolute favorite song for the past several months since I discovered it. and I wanted to try my own hand at imitating the righteous prose you use to explore a less than healthy relationship with the god(s) the prose is directed towards. But I also want to be very careful to not completely copy your work. I know there's the argument that all work is derivative etc but I'm curious to hear any insight you might have on the matter.
i nicked the original idea from Alan Moore, who was talking about researching esoteric gods until you find one that resonates with you, and try praying to it - either as a religious act, or a magical act, or just a personal game to see how it feels
honestly i wouldn't be too afraid of stealing ideas unless you're actively trying to pass off someone else's idea as your own (when i was a kid i tried to convince my friends i'd written The Party Song by Blink 182, and there's an argument to be made that everything i've done since is to prove that i *could* have written that song so it wasn't that cringe actually). especially in the early years of learning How To Art, stealing and riffing on other people's ideas is an essential part of learning how art works and what you love about the things that move you.
examples!
the bo-diddly beat is so firmly associated with its creator that it's named after him, but you probably know it as the beat that George Michael's Faith is built around, or Black Horse And The Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall. oh, and Bo Diddly said he just nicked it from gospel music he heard growing up
the dolly zoom was explicitly invented (as far as i know) by alfred hitchcock for Vertigo (26s in), it's even known as the Vertigo Effect, but it's since become a core part of the language of cinema to show a character going "fuckin wat". that's not even how hitchcock pioneered it! here it is being used in Jaws famously, in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, and in Squid Game.
aaand HP Lovecraft of course, whose story style inspired so many incredible writers so directly that some of their work is explicitly set within his world and using his characters (Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Alan Moore, China Miéville)
So!
be mindful of what you're stealing from and how you're stealing it, but absolutely steal

How in the diddly darn did croth even meet the wooden gay boy
Answering this before my nap(again) because Croth is silly
Croth's crewmate (Bo) brought him to the ship after a facility sweep, Woody followed the humans to try keeping them safe(last remnant of his hard programing) and everyone was too fascinated to listen to Croth saying to "leave it"
Croth hated that guy from the start, he saw him as a big wooden toy that was a complete quota distraction and made his crew softer.

Photography by Austrian emigre James J Kriegsmann, lauded for his portraits and publicity shots of celebrities from the 1930s through the 1960s.
Kriegsmann photographed many Jazz & Swing icons, Motown notables, 50s Doo-wop groups, and stars, including Frank Sinatra, Louie Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, The Andrew Sisters, Bill Bojangles Robinson, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Fats Domino, Sister Rosetta Tharp, Buddy Holly, Bo Diddly, Eartha Kitt, Aretha Franklin, Ike and Tina, Paul Anka, Smokey Robinson, and “Little” Stevie Wonder.

Bo Jackson commercials "Bo Knows Diddly"r
its about a cross trainer shoe and bo jackson who was famos for accelling in multiple sports though these did they cheated a lot more and still do.
the name jackson means  a lot.  and refers to andrew jackson for one and the twnty dollar bill and our son says it would like to be famous as a ball player can do it but ok not too soon. and we  hear it then whiy do it and such and no kidding.  gets them mad.  now we hear it not  too soon nope good.
and the name has stron meaning references  andrew jackson a founding father and rebel and revelutionary.
and about the twenty dollar bill and our son playing sports....multiple.  and it is regarding being  player and cross training meaning learning herre and as a soldier.   these try for it a lot and it is old stuff and failed...a lot.  but do the new stuff they want him to do sports and work and more.  and he is stuck.
This brings us to another point. This plan and they're running into it's abysmal These people don't care about it they think that we would have some asinine plan like this to make our own son poor and dejected is not true and it's poor judgment and you didn't even look at it no you did and you know that he says it's not really necessary but you're getting your jollies off and it's going to cost you everything. So we are going to use it and use it against you and it's easy It does have a lot of connotations and meanings associated with it but it really means to get things prepared that's what they're saying and it is Norwegian word and or Dutch and it's very similar in the way that they do it silently and invisible. So it's a message for the past and for the present and it's what they're saying. With Bo Jackson they more or less just ruined him and that's what they're saying to prepare to do but with Garth it's different they're looking to ruin the clans and he went ahead and told them and he said it sounds important because I had a lot of trouble getting it here. And they tested him and he tested out fine. They went after them for the code and found tons of it but this one centers around our son and they're trying to say it's us in this commercial and they're not doing so good and they want him to become a famous athlete and stuff and he's not really happy about that and he doesn't wanna do that and it's a difficult world he says those games and the players are a different type or they're playing a different type of character they're more or less bullies and brutal people mostly and it's absolutely true football players are terrible and a horrendous horrendous people we have other things to say but we don't wanna do that and he wouldn't be doing that for quite awhile if he tried getting into it and there's a few reasons not to do it he'll be big and everyone wants to see it and it's not with the money and their son knows that that's one of my reason why he's putting it out. There's a big reason to do this and one of the biggest is that he was around during the war of iethteen twelve. At when he was very famous and It's called a Spanish American War but it was really against the British Empire. And he was a famous person fighting them he's still alive and he is still trying to fight them and they have a lot of history these guys of doing each other in and people faking it and it's it's this big mix. Is famous for a number of battles and one of them was during the Creek War and they called the shi are and the career actually in the series 2 and they look like this but they're not and it's because it is Trump's people pretending and they're trying to reenact it in things and he's been doing it for some time now but it's coming up in this civil war stuff this guy is fighting for the S. And he gets a name from himself and he actually comes and defe and he actually comes and defeats the seminal and it's a famous name too and that was actually Mac Daddy and they got a little sick of this guy and he was was a big time fighter it is known for in the past. He also started to cleanse areas and he had a lot of Indians put to death we weren't really happy with this person and he is yes still around and he's a grandchild of Trump He was a famous fighter in the Revolutionary War as well and he was in many battles and was very young and he was given a command as a kernel and he did very well and then the war ended he was also president And he later came up with fair policies to Indians.
