FIRST OF ALL scars!!!!! glad that he didnt come out completely unscathed, since horikoshi has a track record of never leaving long lasting consequences for the hero characters. Half sad that its not iver his eye like endeavors since the whole thing of it is that they both made the same mistake n stuff, but also half happy cuz it DOESNT look like endeavors

THANK GOD THE BEARD IS GONE. i was a v big advocate for loss of the beard, if you can even call it that. hawks, my man, my bro, that was 6 stray hairs. you were not fooling anyone ALSO the lack of beard makes him look a lot younger, kinda showing extra how he really shouldnt have had to go through all this at such a young age

half adoring the suit, it looks good on him, half detesting it because he looks more like the commision ppl :/

his hair is deffo a lot shorter and eyebrows less bushy, probs burnt off in the fight RIP

no earrings, i think this is the first time we’ve seen him without them (?)

overall you can tell this is all very formal, and hawks looks kind of out of place, especially since we usually know him as acting laid back and more casual clothes, i think seeing that seriousness from that kind of character really emphasising the current state of things in the manga

hhhhh i rlly hope he gets a break soon. he spent four months under constant surveillance by the enemy, murdered his only best friend, was nearly killed along with his intern, had his family story broadcasted nationwide and was groomed from a young age into being a hero. i kinda wish he got to say some kind of ‘fuck you’ to the commission, or had some sort of problem with his wings regrowth, or literally just anything that would kind of make his character just sit back and think over everything that he’s been through, some kind of closure or acceptance, but ig theyre going after dabi atm, which i suppose might give him a moment. lets just see though.
