Me: My main goal is to blow up enough that I have enough money to buy a condo and rent it out as an AirBnB that is ever-so-vaguely off. There’s a wide variety of snacks, but there’s also a ragdoll facing a mirror with a post-it note that says “do NOT TOUCH!!!.” The bathroom is spotless and the hot water is plentiful, but I’ve placed a Bluetooth speaker in the vents that occasionally plays a thumping sound to give the illusion that something else might be in the house. The bed is plushy and soft, but there is a small hole on the ceiling, one just small enough for an eye to peek through. My goal is to be a gracious enough host that I force a five-star rating from everyone who ever stays out of politeness, even as they feel sick and terrified giving it to me.

Patrick:
Really into cinematography and photography of the unsettling
Never captions his Instagram posts
Goes live on Instagram a lot, even though people really wished he wouldn’t

Longboards everywhere
Needs prescription glasses but refuses to wear them
They’re mostly for reading, which he doesn’t do anyway
But he does listen to audiobooks sometimes
Likes Frappuccinos but will kill you before you find out
He orders them through Uber Eats under a fake name so nobody will find out
BONUS: all four!
Victor still has his childhood GameCube that they play Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Melee on
Henry is banned from playing Mario Party after breaking a controller while beating Patrick with it
Patrick only ever picks Waluigi in Mario Kart and everyone is sick of it
When they play Rock Band Patrick is on bass, Henry plays guitar, Belch absolutely slays the drums, and Vicky boy sings his lil heart out
One night a week they order a shit ton of Dominos and make a drinking game out of watching Vine compilations
Victor does everyone’s birth charts
They collectively made a fake Tinder account on Patrick’s phone and catfish guys with it
They all try to one up each other doing vape tricks yikes
They buy bags of chips and candy from Costco and lounge around eating them on weekends
They’re banned from the city metro busses because Belch’s car was in the shop for a week and that week was hell for every bus driver in the city

1, 18, 26, 27, 31, 38, 42, 46
1. Animated character that was your gay awakening? okay so this is actually a tough question for me because honestly my gender AND sexual orientation have been an absolute mess from day one without any help, but overall I think I’m going to dump almost 100% of that burden on disney’s peter pan, and subsequently every single other version of peter pan. not because I had a crush on him as a kid, as apparently a lot of people I know did, but because I projected massively onto peter pan for my entire childhood and if nothing else he’s definitely intrinsically involved with my overall trans-ness. and actually now I think about it, as an adult I do very specifically tend to go for dark, long-haired, flamboyant, affably villainous types who could and might stab me with a literal sword, so maybe the story as a whole was more of a gay awakening than I give it credit for. so yeah maybe the real answer to this question is captain hook. reading Peter Darling was a fucking trip though, I can tell you that much.
18. What’s that one TV show that you’re a little bit embarrassed to watch but you still like nonetheless? Unfortunately... I do still have genuine love for the Robot Lions In Space Show. it’s got robot lions and elves and cat people and they’re all in space, can you blame me?
26. You can only have one juice for the rest of your life, what is it? Pomegranate. it’s delicious and also because of the color/consistency I feel like an aristocratic vampire whenever I drink it.
27. What section do you immediately head for when you walk into a bookstore? scifi/fantasy. sometimes to find new books and sometimes to see what nonsensical covers are on the asimov collection this time.
31. What’s that one outfit in your closet you never get the chance to wear but want to? in terms of like, day-wear clothing clothing? I dunno that I have one, if I really want to wear something I will find a reason, up to and including a full-on ruffly red poet shirt that I’ve unironically worn to the salon more than once. everything else is just like. ren fair/costume/miscellaneous specific event things that I want to wear more because I want to go to more things that I can wear them to. wearing a fur kilt and prosthetic gryphon claws to the grocery store just isn’t the same (ngl though if quarantine goes on much longer I might start).
38. Favorite mid-2000s song there’s no possible way I can pick because I love music from the mid 2000s as a whole, but measuring purely on the merit of how strongly I vibed with it when I was fifteen, I’m going with New Divide by Linkin Park, with the admittedly incongruous runner-up of Black Fox by Heather Dale (which barely edges out several Ke$ha songs). needless to say I was insufferable as a teenager.
42. A song you didn’t think you’d enjoy but ended up loving Okay so before we got the bluetooth speaker and I was able to torment my classmates with star wars cantina music, the music in my cosmo school’s salon was dictated entirely by a very broken ipad that could only play three pandora stations that all had like a dozen top 40s songs that just cycled on repeat. and I am really not into the top 40s right now, is what I mainly learned, but after like the fifty-seventh time hearing pillow talk by zayne I was like “actually I’m kinda into this one, it can stay” and I’ve liked it ever since. even though the ipad got stolen one day and I never heard the song again after that.
46. What’s the freezer food that you stock up on when you go to the grocery store? costco tamales, baby!!! especially during avocado season.
#I may never recover from how glaringly on-the-nose peter darling was#have you ever seen your soul casually pulled out of your body and dissected in front of you#because that's what reading that book felt like#but like in a good way#ask meme#raemanzu

Why Camping is the Perfect Vacation in Your 20s
Everyone should go camping! The timeless outing that is not as celebrated is making a comeback. There are so many positive reasons to go camping for your next vacation. My friends, and I have made camping an annual vacation with each other and we love it! California has so many terrains to offer that we can’t get enough. We value that time because it is an easy and affordable way for us to catch up, get away, and spend unforgettable time together. Even if nature isn’t your thing it is worth trying and here is why:
#1: You’re off the grid.
You don’t usually have cellular connection so you are not tempted to waste your time on your cellphone. This may bother some, but it isn’t something that should terrify you from camping. It may be hard at first, but you get used to it as time goes on. Soon you’ll realize you didn’t miss it as much as you thought. This forces you to engage with your camp mates more than ever before. You are forced to entertain yourselves and could open more opportunities to connect better than ever before. You won’t be bogged down by social media, politics, or work emails. A technology/social media detox is also super healthy for your well-being which is what a vacation should be about - a mental break. Check out the other benefits to a social media detox here: https://www.lifehack.org/483829/9-positive-benefits-of-a-social-media-detox.
#2: Quality time with family and/or friends.
With not having your phone as a distraction, choose your companions wisely. Or don’t take anyone with you if you want to get away. You are going to be spending a lot of intimate time with these people, so bring along people you know you want to spend your time with. The times I’ve gone camping I go with my friends and every time has been so much fun and so comfortable. I know I can rely on them to help with the camp duties, but also have a blast. We always come off of these trips a lot closer. The type of time you spend with each other is special because you only have each other and have to work together in ways you don’t typically have to when at home.
#3: Do things you don’t typically get to do.
How often do you get to cook under the stars? Or shovel a hole for your #2 business? If you’re looking for other activities to kill time there is so much to do when camping. Depending on what campsite you decide to reside at, there are many many activities to choose from and many are FREE. Most of the time, hiking is close by to the campsite since majority are in nature. You can find some really cool and beautiful vantage points when hiking for a cute picture opportunity, as well. You may be close to, or even on, the beach so you can do a beach day with everything that entails. You may be in the desert so you can ride motorbikes or quads. You might be near a lake so you can go fishing, swimming, or water-skiing. You can also just chill at the campsite! Yard games, drinking games, and board games are really popular ways to pass time when I’ve gone camping. If your campsite is near a town, like San Diego, then you can spend a day in the city shopping or finding some good food to eat.
#4: Super affordable and easy.
Camping is a great option for a quick and affordable vacation. Most campsites can be booked quickly online, and the fee to book them is pretty cheap! If you plan on going to a campsite in the summer you might want to book your site far in advance. However, some sites are widely available so you can make it a last minute trip. You also don’t need to buy a flight. Most sites are a small drive away. Everyone just pitch in for some gas money and you’re good to go. Aside from the campsite and gas fee, the only other money necessary is for food and fire wood. In my experience this can all be bought in bulk or brought from home. Then you can split the cost amongst each other. If this is your first time camping and you don’t have the supplies, that is okay. You can borrow from friends and relatives, or go in on some affordable gear together from Walmart. And if you enjoy yourself and continue to go camping in the future, you’ll keep building your supplies every time!
#5: All-Day Drinking.
Look. I know not everyone is into drinking and what-not. However, if you are a 20-something and enjoy drinking on a budget, camping is the perfect place to do that. You’re most likely not driving or operating any heavy machinery while at the campsite, so no one has to worry about paying for an Uber or work the next day. Most sites allow alcohol, or smoking if that fits your style, as long as you’re not wreaking havoc on other campsites. Also, if your group buys alcohol from Costco and splits the cost, it is super frugal.
#6: Modern camping exists!
Camp sites may be near civilization so if you are afraid of being without cell service for too long, it is possible service is just 5 minutes away. There is also potential for proper toilets and showers with clean, running water. If that is more your style then you don’t have to worry about “showering” with baby wipes for a few days, or peeing behind a tree a few feet away from your bed. But if you don’t typically shower often and are tired of your parents commenting on it, no one will care on a campsite. Most sites that have bathrooms also have outlets. If you need to charge your bluetooth speaker or your phone then it is possible at these sites.
#7: Plenty of options exist.
There are so many places to choose from in California, for example, Big Bear, Mammoth, San Clemente, San Luis Obispo, and so much more (https://www.reservecalifornia.com/CaliforniaWebHome/). There are also options close to California (Arizona, Utah, etc.) if you feel like making a small road trip out of it.
I hope this post inspired you to go camping in the future! If you’re 20-something you are all too familiar with trying to enjoy yourself on a budget. Camping is the perfect way to get away with some friends without making anyone max their credit cards to participate.

Yamaha YAS-209 review: The best-sounding smart soundbar under $400
New Post has been published on https://appradab.com/yamaha-yas-209-review-the-best-sounding-smart-soundbar-under-400/
Yamaha YAS-209 review: The best-sounding smart soundbar under $400
The YAS-209 soundbar is Yamaha’s first smart speaker of any kind, and since its release last year it has remained one of my favorite soundbars, period. Yamaha chose Amazon’s Alexa for its voice control, and the YAS-209 performs well as a smart speaker and sounds excellent with music, TV and movies.
It’s not the cheapest soundbar available — the Vizio V21 lacks voice control but is half the price — but in my book the Yamaha’s worth the extra money. Shoppers in the YAS-209’s price range might well prefer the Sonos Beam for its multiroom chops and choice of Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple AirPlay 2. Neither the Sonos nor the Vizio match the Yamaha’s sound quality, however.
The YAS-209 is everything I expect from a midpriced soundbar: ease of use, powerful output levels and an ability to replay both movies and music to a high standard. The fact that you can ask Alexa for a song — and have it sound better than pretty much any smaller smart speaker — puts it over the top. In the 12 months since its release I have yet to hear a soundbar that can equal the Yamaha for its mix of sound quality and features, and for this reason it deserves our Editors’ Choice award.
The YAS-209 is available from Costco as the ATS-2090 and Yamaha says the two models are identical.

The Yamaha YAS-209 is a soundbar and wireless subwoofer combo incorporating two microphones for use with Amazon Alexa. Unlike such competitors as the Sonos Beam (which lacks a sub) and the Bose Soundbar 700, the Yamaha is not going to get Google Assistant in the future.
The main soundbar is approximately 37 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall, and I found it fit under a number of TVs without blocking the IR port. You can also mount it on a wall in the same horizontal orientation. The subwoofer, on the other hand, is a large box that houses a 6.5-inch bass woofer. It’s a little more intrusive than the bar at roughly 16 inches square and 7.5 inches wide.
The speaker offers DTS Virtual:X for simulated surround effects from a single bar, plus a bunch of media-specific presets: Music, TV program, Movie, Sports, Game and Stereo.
Sarah Tew/CNET
Connections include HDMI in and HDMI (ARC) out, optical digital and Bluetooth. You can connect the soundbar to Ethernet and Wi-Fi, for Spotify Connect and Alexa support, though there’s no AirPlay 2 or built-in Chromecast.
Sarah Tew/CNET
The soundbar comes with a larger remote than usual and the back of it is pleasingly concave. Given the small nature of the soundbar’s LED display readout, the remote is one of the main methods of interacting with the soundbar; its button selection is suitably comprehensive and easy to use.
The soundbar doesn’t use the Amazon Alexa app for setup, but rather the Yamaha Sound Bar Controller app for iOS and Android.

I’d be amazed if Best Buy didn’t have late discounts for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max but, right now, these are the headline deals and when they will be available: Starting Thursday, November 28, 2019 Best Buy may not list iPhone deals, but what it does have is of extremely high quality. The Galaxy and Pixel deals are unlikely to be bettered this holiday season (with the possible exception of Costco’s blowout Galaxy deal). The Pixel 3a offer is a no-brainer for anyone looking to get one of the best smartphone cameras available for a tantalising price and only Kohl’s Cash deals come close to matching these Xbox One X and Xbox One S savings. Costco Black Friday 2019: The Best New Live Deals Forbes Gordon Kelly My tips would be to take a close look at all the iPad deals, the Surface Pro 7 bundle is excellent with the Type Cover and check out the Sony XM3 headphones (they’re my favourite noise-cancelling headphones). The Tab S6 is also the top Android tablet right now, and you’re getting great deals on the HP Omen. The AirPods discounts are always welcome, but Amazon has them along with a rare AirPods Pro deal. Tip: Black Friday 2019 shipping policies can be found for Amazon (here), Best Buy (here), Target (here) and Walmart (here).
