How would DE Eclipse be in a more domestic setting? Or if he was injured and it took time for him to get repaired? What would Sun and Moon think of any extended absence, or if they found out he was hurt?

Eclipse in a domestic setting is strange, to say the least. Before he was a daycare attendant there were always things to do for the little ones, and he had to watch out for the handlers, but in a strictly domestic setting, he doesn't truly know what to do with himself. He knows how to do the chores, and how to take care of you, but simply existing in a house where there are no demands from humans or plots for him to brood over leaves him anxious and on the hunt for something to discover or figure out. You would have to show him how to play card games like poker or give him some decent books to read otherwise he's looting through your personal journal and listening in on the neighbors in the apartment right across from yours. It's like keeping a cat from clawing up the furniture. If you give him the right enrichment, he's not so bad. Don't misunderstand, he's still scary, still sharp-tooth, but he's less likely to attack when he's focusing on winning with a royal flush instead of fishing for another psychological weakness of yours.

If Eclipse is injured, he trusts only himself to fix it. He will find a way. He's done it before, he'll do it again, though he hates that it costs him valuable time away from his brothers and leaves them in the dark as to where he could be. Eclipse doesn't tell them the truth of what he's truly doing while he's away from them, but he never wants Sun and Moon to fear that he's never coming back for them. So, he hides out somewhere dark and dirty where no one would think to look and tends to himself. Depending on the place in the story, he might even come to you if it's severe enough.

Sun and Moon watch the clock constantly when Eclipse is gone, and if it extends past anything Eclipse told them to expect, they're in dire straits. They start panicking, arguing whether they should go out and look for him or stay put just like Eclipse told them to. They have no idea what went wrong. The worse is running through their minds and it's almost unbearable until he resurfaces again. Then they're just drenched in relief, embracing him and then demanding to know what happened. Eclipse apologizes for making them wait. He knows they were worried but he promises it won't happen again. Just a little bust in his chassis. He had to fix it. But he's fine now. Sun and Moon have plenty of questions about this, and they ask again why he can't stay with them, why they can't go with him to do the work that Eclipse swears will make sure they're all safe, but Eclipse calms them down. It's alright now, that's all the matters. He needs to charge now, okay? Sun and Moon can't really push it, even if they'd really like, but they fall back to counting their lucky stars that he's back and still in one piece.
