"So...you buy most of your groceries at the market, but sometimes you go out and find food instead?"

"Yeah, basically."

Arinya nodded slowly as her and Joshua walked deeper into the woods, and then asked, "But don't you buy meat sometimes?"

He already knew where this was going and sighed, "Yes."

"Why?"

"Because sometimes we can't find enough meat or any meat, and sometimes nobody feels like skinning a deer or a bear," he explained, trying to stay calm and level-headed. After all, Ari didn't know much and she was just curious. She was like a child who was still learning.

And was also his responsibility.

"Why can't you find any?"

Josh let out a deep sigh.

"Last question, I promise!" she quickly added.

"For now," he scoffed, rolling his eyes though there was a hint of a smirk tugging at his lips. "Anyway, we're considered predators to most, if not all animals. They know where we are and go back to tell other animals. We've learned to be stealthier, so we catch more than we used to."

Now, Joshua was well aware that his mate had hunted before, but he also knew it was only much smaller animals. Ari had only ever talked about eating squirrels, rodents, the occasional bird, and whatever small animals she could catch while on her own. So his goal today was to teach her how to catch her very first deer.

There was a little bit of silence as the pair continued to walk. Ari was content listening to the tweet of birds and the little scurry of squirrels. But then she got curious again, only her question was a little different than the others.

"Do you really think I can do this?" she asked, looking up at Joshua was a little uncertainty on her face.

He looked down at her with a reassuring, warm smile as he put an arm around her shoulders, "'Course you can. Maybe not first try, but you can do it. Now, we're almost to our hunting spot so you have to be really quiet, baby."

The plan was for Ari to shift while Josh stayed human to communicate with her. He was going to hide off in a shrub or up in a tree somewhere to keep watch, but he would obviously intervein if anything were to happen -- not that he expected a deer to fight back against a werecoyote. Despite her being smaller, she was still considered a predator.

Even if she didn't really know what she was doing and was overall far too sweet to be one.

"If you get too scared or anything happens that gives you a bad feeling, just run," he told her before he sent her off. "I'll take care of it."

All she did was stare at him -- not that she could speak to him, anyway -- and let out a short sigh after a beat of silence. She wanted to tell him she could take care of herself even though she'd continued to tell him that constantly.

"Okay, I don't need the attitude," he frowned.

She rolled her eyes before she turned away from him and started trotting deeper into the woods.

"Okay, brat," he grumbled but jogged after her.

It took a little bit of careful sneaking through the forest, but Arinya finally spotted a deer drinking from a stream. She hunched down low and waited for a bit, watching before slowly and silently crawling through the brush. Any time the deer popped its head up and looked around, Ari would pause.

"Atta girl," Joshua whispered to himself, watching her with a growing, proud smile.

There was a perfect opening for Ari to pounce. She would easily make the distance and land on the unsuspecting deer so she could kill it and bring her achievement back home where she would no doubt beam at the pack as she squealed about killing her first deer. Joshua's heart was already swelling with pride at the thought, happy and--

Ari darted off to the right suddenly, going completely away from the deer and effectively scaring it off.

Not knowing what happened, Josh assumed the worst. He assumed she sensed something bad, so he bolted after her. That is, until he saw a tiny blur of grey run only a few yards away from his feet, and he skidded to a stop.

Ari was a blur as she ran passed him, after the tiny bunny.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me..." he sighed, dropping his head into his hands. After taking a deep breath and letting it out to calm himself, he lifted his head and looked in the direction that his mate had run, only to see her chasing the bunny in odd figure-eights. "Arinya Inthipan! The bunnies don't want to be your friend -- I've told you so many times!"

Ok so DK and seungkwan voices literally steal my soul like every time I listen to them sing (especially the watch me move cover) I can’t help but close my eyes and savor their rich voices. AND JIHOONS VOICE is the one voice I can recognize in the groups without a doubt he’s got that boyish tone that makes me move to the music. then there is my boy Joshua, his voice is underrated but is the definition of SWEET. my bias jeonghan. I have one thing to say, his voice literally makes my heart flutter.

DK and Seungkwan could shoot me and I would thank them. Dk’s voice is so powerful but not like overwhelmingly, it just demands you to listen; knowing that at that moment it’s going to be one of the best things for you to hear. Seungkwan? Omg he just sounds passionate, so happy, and it makes you feel so joyful just listening to him share his gifts with the world in the way he wanted to. JIHOON”S VOICE MY BOI. It’s honest to god one of my favorites, so peaceful so calming and it evokes so many emotions. Truly, watching vocal unit stages you can just see the effort and love he has for his career, for his voice. How much he loves the music really transcends through his voice. Joshua’s voice makes me smile, its so sweet and charming. Listening to him makes me want to skip along a field of flowers with someone I love. Truly an underrated voice. Jeonghan… just sensual. Listening to him just makes you stop, just listen for a moment and just think. Think about what he’s making you feel as he sings out songs with his honey-like voice. I have SO many opinions and love to give for Seventeen’s vocal team it isn’t even real. Thank you for saying this I really enjoyed it! Also the watch me move cover? Iconic. Btw do you have a favorite vocal line song?? asddfghhjl sorry for the long answer.

“D/N, slow down,” Tsuki called as he watched his little girl gallop toward the empty playground, excited as he pushed the small stroller in case she would be too tired to walk home.

The little girl listened, but she just couldn’t contain her excitement. She danced and wiggled her bottom, making the two of you laugh as you two approached.

Fall leaves crunched under your guys’ steps as they fell with gusts of wind. Tsukishima sat down onto the bench with no hesitation while you kind of hesitated knowing it was going to be cold.

“Come sit,” he opened his arms so that he could wrap them around you. And with that invitation, you couldn’t resist. You snuggled close as a chilly breeze blew by, hiding your face from the crisp breezes.

“Am I that warm?” He looked down, a playful/teasing smirk on his face as another excited squeal from D/N caught his attention. She slid down the bumpy slide with her shirt hands raised and the biggest smile on her face. And he knew the moment she saw her smile, he knew she had gotten it from you - it just warmed his heart even more.

You two talked about whatever, talked about friends and their lives and some occasional gossip that was until the winds grew more frequent. As you guys talked, D/N ran over, drumming her hands on tsuki’s knees, telling him that she wanted upsies.

“Up we go,” he breathed as he sat her in his lap. “You okay? What’s up, honey?” You asked as you tucked a strand behind her ear.

“It’s cold,” she pouted, laying her head onto tsuki’s shoulder, burying her cold face right into his warm neck. It sent a shock and chill up his spine but as long as his little dinosaur was warm, that’s all that mattered.

“Should we go home now then?” He patted her back, waiting until he saw a small nod and he stood up, carrying her back home, the stroller now being pushed by you. “Stay warm, Dino,” he smiled, pecking the top of her beanie.
