Ok, but it’s kind of funny that people act like Kate wearing pastel colours means she will be just like all those other Dumb and Desperate debutantes!! How else will we know she is different if she doesn’t wear bold colours and little jewellery so we know she isn’t superficial🙄.

I get that the colour of the clothes aids in the visual storytelling but I feel like her wearing pastel blue is a nod to her going to become a Bridgertons as it is their colour. Not a reflection of her personality. Eloise is also wearing the same shade of blue.

I liked her outfit in the promo they showed, mostly because of the pattern/glitter of it all. I do hope they continue in that same vein of giving her more ornate pieces (and jewelry! please more jewelry! i despised the lack of jewelry on Daphne- listen, I'm Desi and aesthetocally speaking, More is generally better; this "simple yet elegant" situation is a purely western concept in my mind, and a somewhat overrated one) to wear- plus, I think someone with Simone's skintone will look equally good in pastels (though can we get past the blue?) and more vibrant colors.

I think it seems like they're planning to make tv!Kate a full-on debutante (rather than a near-spinster like she is in the book; I think I explained this earlier) and that too, her family seems to have more means than they did in the books (where the heck did Mary scourge up 3! tiaras!), so I think ornate pastels (bc debs = pastels) with a decent amount of jewelry (I REALLY want more jewelry plz) is the best thing the costume people could do for Simone-as-Kate.

Favorite season: Autumn, when it’s no longer really hot, but it’s not yet really cold, and cloudy days are more common than sunny ones, and there’s a peaceful calm.

Favorite book: I’m doing a horrible job of actually reading it, but The Finishing School Series (I’ve read the first book and started the second, but as I said, horrible job actually reading it)

Favorite flower: Rose, typically black or blue, but for naturally occurring colors, I guess yellow and deep red

Favorite scent: I... don’t really have one? It’s more general, anything that reminds me of happy memories. (I can tell you I hate the smell of lavender though)

Favorite animal: Near anything in the feline family

Coffee, tea, or hot cocoa: In order it’s coffee, tea, hot cocoa, but I like all of these and at certain times will prefer one to the other. Though coffee is quite a bit ahead of the other two.

Dream trip: When I first saw this question I was gonna say anywhere I could get x, y, and z, but then I realized I could probably find my desired things in Hokkaido. I want to go somewhere where I can be in peace, detach from electronics if I wanted, enjoy some hot springs in the snow... So I guess a couple or so weeks in Hokkaido.
