new driven s3 au
summary: S3 towards the end (crystal labyrinth?) Winx and specialists fight against the Trix. Riven grabbed Darcy and she's like: let me go. And he's like: you used to say "hold me tight". And she, what kind of shitty boyfriend are you to Musa? Not that I care lol. And then he just lets her go and the Trix take off. And Riven is like hmm, I can imagine a redemption arc for her. He's had a lot of stress with Musa since the crystal labyrinth at the latest. That's why he talks to Flora, because she's the softest and sweet and most likely to give people a second chance. Then Flora and Riven go on a mission to get to Darcy and make her the offer to switch on their side. Darcy will definitely talk to Stormy first and then to Icy. Convincing Icy will be the hardest because she loves Valtor kinda? idk. But he's only interested in Bloom, even if not romantically. Bottom line, trix and winx vs valtor and s3 gets a better ending

The Tragedy of the Trix; Rehabilitation vs Punishment
Saw this post on reddit asking if the Trix are tragic characters and at first I almost said no. And then I thought about it a bit. On the outside they seem to handle things very well and they seem to be delighted and content with being evil for the lols but honestly, that happiness is probably super hollow and fake. And they might not even realize it. It has the same energy as someone super wealthy who has a lot of nice things but very little love. Anyways I decided to share my response on tumblr.
I've got several points here that I might elaborate on later if I get some time because I feel like there are a lot of topics here that the fandom doesn't talk about a lot; like Light Rock and the treatment of witches overall.
Honestly yeah I kind of do think that they are tragic characters. It is mostly self-inflicted and we don't really know what happened to them (unless we're counting Icy's last minute backstory) to make them the way that they are. So I can absolutely see them having grown up in rough environments.
The thing that I think makes it a real tragedy as that no one really ever tired to help them. Griffin actively encouraged their mischief and bad behavior until it became a little too evil. In the 4kids dub they didn't even get expelled for the deed itself but because they got caught. And Griffin took little to no responsibility for her hand in all of this; she's the adult, they were still probably teens when they started at Cloud Tower. So in some sense she did have a duty to guide them (and every other student). She praised them for the things that they would eventually be imprisoned for. Which is the next issue; they just kept getting imprisoned and punished with no real attempt at rehabilitation.
I would not call Light Rock rehabilitation. Based on the 4kids dub it had cult vibes more than anything else; not even the guards were allowed to leave and one of them said he felt like a prisoner rather than a guest. The whole scene opened with a debate over the morality of trying to force people to be happy. Light Rock was less about rehabilitation and more about brainwashing. So the Trix never really did get a shot at true rehabilitation and help. It was all punishment. I feel like Light Rock overall was a waste of potential; there were some implications there that really could have made for a cool plot point.
But yeah I feel like not only were the Trix neglected and heavily misguided but they were actively pushed in the wrong direction. The witches in general (not just the Trix) have such a stigma about them that even when they're doing good or minding their own business, they get accused of being evil. And so no one should be surprised when they just embrace the image.
I also feel as though some of the punishments were disproportionate to downright cruel. Like them getting sucked into a void in season 7. Heck, even Light Rock was cruel; it's brainwashing, an attempt at manipulation, and psychological abuse. It's usually passed as a joke but honestly, they have experienced the horrors. Of course they're going to come out more resentful. The comics are almost worse for this. Again it's usually the result of their own schemes but their suffering in the comics is literally played for laughs.
I think that that's why I liked season 8 upon rewatching it; more compassion was given to the Trix. Bloom told Icy that she saw good in her. And, what do you know, Icy was receptive to it. Instead of taking the power for herself, she helped the Winx save the magical dimension. I really would like a follow up on that story line. It was nice to see them humanized a bit more.
Tl;dr: Yeah the Trix brought a lot of their troubles onto themselves but they were actively being praised for doing evil until they did something too evil. And there was no genuine attempt to help them.

FF&FW: Bloom Meeting Icy, Vs Iorda Meeting Icy
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
[Bloom getting thrown against a wall in an alley after she eavesdrops on the Trix]
Bloom: What do you want?
Icy: Info on Stella
Bloom: She's my friend-
Icy: Do I care?
Bloom: ...
Icy: ...
Bloom: Please don't kill me likeplease
Icy: Then give my information or istg
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
[Iorda meeting Icy after she's wandering around Cloud Tower, only to run into Icy walking into Cloud Tower past curfew right after the alley scene. There's a small bit of blood on Icy's hand]
[Cue Icy pinning Iorda to the wall via her neck]
Icy: You'll tell no one about this
Iorda: Bitch I don't care let me go!
Icy: Do you not know who I am-
Iorda: I don't give a shit who you are, just fuck off!
*Iorda genually does not know who the Trix are, as it is her first day*
[Darcy walks into the hallway, knowing Iorda is the 'problem' aka the fairy of dark arts, aka, they should stay away from her and not draw attention]
Darcy: Icy what the hell? [Walks up to them and gives Icy a look, like, 'it's the problem I told you about'] Please excuse my sister
Iorda: Your sister's a little bitch
Icy: istg I will skin you
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
This is honestly why the Trix want Iorda dead. She's a little shit, but mainly because she just... doesn't know things.
Idiot by accident.

Note
Something curious about Darcy is the sheer incoherence of the spells she uses. Her element is Darkness, so she uses telekinesis, hypnosis, telepathy, illusions, hallucinations, tentacles of pure darkness... And, for some reason, she once used either a super strength or earthquake spell in a fit of anger, when Riven crashed his bike she whipped out high-level healing magic, and when Valtor gave Icy an incendiary spell it was Darcy to conjure a fire, or at least something very similar, that Bloom couldn't extinguish.
One can only wonder what else she has up her sleeve. At least the torture spell from season 1 can be explained with telekinesis (see "Superman vs The Elite" and the only attack from Manchester Black that actually hurt Supes)...
mm!
Honestly my thoughts on Magic is that a lot of it is kinda. Similar spells bent to the person?
Like like like.
Okay anyone can learn a basic shield spell, right? But someone like Tecna whose Magic is based in Tech would summon a shield that resembles a early-2000s era firewall hacker screen while Flora my create a wall of vines.
So like all of those are spells that someone can learn.
Also I think Darcy is funky in that she's less direct darkness and more a metaphorical darkness. the 'dark corners of the mind' and illusions and trickery and that sort of thing.

Other queer headcanons:
Icy -> Asexual Lesbian
She just has ace vibes to me. Darcy's whole manipulation thing by attraction is so useful but also she does not understand how it works even a little bit
Darcy -> Bisexual
She has a preference for men but it's not super strong. Shes always knew she was bisexual, baby Darcy was always aware. Smart girl hours
Stormy -> Aromatic Het
Stormy is so aromantic to me!!!! She has that aroallo energy of being hot, idk what to tell you. I literally could never see Stormy in a romantic relationship, like she'd have a platonic life partner but dating isn't real.
Sky -> Questioning (Bi pref women)
Brandon has once 100% offered to kiss Sky to see if he's bi, bc he had a crush on him and Sky still didn't realize he was bi. Like Eraklyon palace is not the place to try and question your sexuality and being attracted to people who could turn out to be spy's or he had a fuck ton of explicit power over was scary so he never figured out his sexuality until like s2~3
Brandon -> Gender Neutral, Pan, Poly
Brandon doesn't have a gender. He's completely gender neutral. Like he doesn't experience gender. He doesn't get gender euphoria or dysphoria. If he suddenly turned into a girl literally nothing would happen. He just doesn't experience gender, no gender here, godbless. He'd probably say Gender Neutral but there's other words for that
He's pan bc when he goes into the smooch competition with Stella, no one is off limits. Like I said with Stella, if they met someone they both wanted to date asking them out is a done deal
Timmy -> Gay Ace
This is just 100% vibes. Tecna is busy not dating him and Timmy needs something nice for himself. He just has the ace "I'm tired of you allos acting stupid as shit" energy in my thing, and he's gay bc he deserves nice things
Riven -> Bisexual
He's bi with a preference for women, and he would of known sooner but he was so far into the fucking closet that he had become one with the clothes. Musa helps him come out of the closet and they talk about hot people together I love them
Helia -> Alterous Transman
Alterous attraction is basically just attraction that isn't platonic or romantic vs aesthetic or sexual. It can be between them or be a secret third thing (like it is for me). Helia's alterous attraction is between platonic and romantic, and between aesthetic and sexual, everything is really fuzzy for him. He doesn't get strong anything but he still gets the feelings and impulse, it's just weak and most of the time he can't tell if it's actually platonic or aesthetic
He's also trans, this is just true. As soon as he learned what a boy and girl was he was telling his parents he was a boy. Like he knew very very early on, and he socially transitioned at a young age. Gender win for Helia
Nabu -> Gay
THIS MAN IS A HOMOSEXUAL!!!!! He and Sky make up the "raised rich and wears shiny ass earrings once they realized being GNC is an option" club, and good for him
Daphne -> Queer (Lesbian)
Daphne was WAY too busy fighting the ancestral witches to ever figure out her sexuality but she was aware of the fact that she wasn't cishet, so she just grabbed a macro label and kept it moving
Mirta -> GenderFluid Lesbian
It came to me in a dream. If she can use fairy and witch magic fluidly in canon what if her gender was fluid in my thing??? I am a fucking genius. Her hair is so non-binary. Haven't decided on pronouns yet, and Mirta just is a lesbian.
Diaspro -> Questioning (Pan)
Diaspro absolutely didn't have a single crush growing up in Eraklyon bc everyone there was a asshole and hatred her and she hated them back more. She was kinda punched in the face by her attraction to Bloom. She figures it out as soon as she leaves and talks to some normal people for like a month or something in s2 or s3
Roxy -> Agender AroAce
Roxy reminds me of my bestie who is agender, so they're agender, and I think it's funny if Roxy was watching the Winx do their relationship nonsense abt to throw up bc ew allo people. They are very repulsed, and I love them. They are literally a teenager trying to be cool and not understanding why everyone is dating or doing this gender shit. Triple A battery
Selina -> Trans Lesbian
Look at Selina's fucking ugly green hair and outfit, that is a trans lesbian if I've ever seen one
Krystal -> Bisexual
She just is, I can't explain. It's the Flora

just finished another A Fable reread and I continue to be absolutely delighted by Icy’s insistence on dragging Valtor around until she can present him to Bloom like a cat with a dying bird. Whether Bloom takes her up on the homicide or not either way the end result is going to be hilarious.
So the thing about the Valtor situation is that it is a symptom of a TANGENT sorry...I'll try to explain this correctly lol
Fable!Bloom is not going to have an identity crisis about being adopted. She's discomforted by the shit she knows instinctively through magic/the Flame, and doesn't know how to feel about The Horrors of Domino, but Daphne is still a stranger, as are the faceless people who gave birth to her. Bloom is a very well adjusted adoptee lol. Sucks that her parents + planet are dead and she'd like to help 'em out at some point - but Valtor's just some Asshole War Criminal. She does not have a special interest or connection to him. (Not that she won't see Icy's gesture for what it is).
I don't intend to write an individual piece detailing Bloom's feelings on the whole thing, I think it'll be covered as much as it needs to be in the main body of the series.
The Tangent: I'm not adopted, I have friends and family who are, so it's been very much a non-issue, a thing other people make a big deal out of re adoptive vs biological relationships that I dislike. Strangers have told my relatives + friends too many times that their feelings + relationships are inauthentic for lack of biology or the existence of it, and I can't throw hands with those assholes so I take my frustrations out on it in writing lol

i had a bizarre dream that stardust vs seafoam won, except seafoam was also called bloom and its icon had a yellow background with an icy blue cartoony flower in the middle. the team cards were purple and galactic for stardust and sandy for seafoam. also, the team colors were bright purple (kinda like cyberpunk) for stardust and icy blue for "bloom." i remember all of july passing by so fast that i couldn't even remember to do any attacks and i felt SO guilty for forgetting. but also i couldn't view my defenses?? like it showed that i got some but i couldn't view them and for some bizarre reason i didn't really care. team bloom/seafoam ended up winning by a MASSIVE landslide, there were only a few people on stardust and i was pretty sad about that. take this dream as you will

Winx Club Hot Take 12!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Artist: IridescentTides
Honestly, I wanted more Disenchantix! We only got to see it once almost halfway into Season 3, Episode 24. Now that The Winx have all become Enchantix fairies with new powers and magical fairy dust, The Trix (Icy, Darcy, & Stormy) are feeling outnumbered and underpowered. Valtor uses his dark magic to create Disenchantix for the witches to stand a fighting chance. It didn't last very long. While The Trix got an upgrade in their powers, they were quickly defeated. I know the Disenchantix designs on all three witches look too similar to each other, but I love the gothic appeal it's giving which is fitting for The Trix. Aside from their Season 6 makeover, this is one of my favorite designs for them and I wish they appeared in more episodes and seasons. Heck, I wish there were a concept of Enchantix fairies vs. Disenchantix fairies where The Winx have to deal with a group, colony, or organization of dark fairies who are all dolled up in different Disenchantix designs. I mean, why does Disenchantix have to be an upgrade? What if Valtor knew of Disenchantix, but instead of learning about it (or how to earn it or gain it) he just used his magic to make his own interpretation of it? It would have also been nice to see Dark Bloom again but her dark form of Enchantix similar to the doll that was sold of her. In Unicorn of War-Thomas Vaccaro's Season 6 rewrite, he wrote the concept of The Trix and Selina giving faires like Chimera (a Season 3 antagonist) Disenchantix for their coven army and that would've been cool to see actually. I just.......man, I wish this had more potential! ONE episode was not enough!

In your rewrite what are the differences between witches and fairies ? (besides using their magic based on different emotions)
Do any of the Specialists have powers ?
Which couples are endgame ?
What are Alfea and Cloudtower like ?
What are Icy and Stormy’s backstories (if they aren’t spoilers)
If Domino does end up being revived in your rewrite and Bloom finally meets her birth parents,what would their relationship be like ?
You have fantastic questions, thank you. This is a bit longer then I expected it to be but lets go (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ✧
The major differences between witches and fairies is how they channel magic. Fairies have in internal source of magic, large or small, it needs to cultivated and relationship needs to form there. Witches, while also inherently magical, command and channel magic from external sources. While spells and potions help, they're strength comes from learning how to command the magic around them. It's similar to asking vs telling.
A fairy like Flora in concept is asking nature for help vs a witch like Mirta would be commanding it by bending the magic around them to their will. This is why fairies have forms unlike witches even though witches can also become equally powerful and why headspace and emotions are vital to using magic. "Witch" is also an umbrella base term, wizard, sorcerer/ess, enchanter/tress, sages, and so on are different levels and kinds of witch. It is more commonplace and diverse to be a witch as fairies have a more personal yet structured form of magic.
Many Specialists have magic, I previously mentioned Sky has magic, but so does Nabu and Helia, all at different levels of power and experience. I had actually considered making Helia a fairy. Ultimately I have chosen not to make him one, at least not fully, he has an internal spark of magic that just isn't strong enough to have a fairy form or he's a different magical being that has internal magic without being a fairy like a nymph.
Cloud Tower is apart of Alfea, it's the most advance witch track section of the school. Alfea is an elite school meant for children of the influential and the best and brightest. You don't get in with out being invited. They accept students as young as 13 (exceptionally rare) though most are invited at around 15 and continues up to 10 years (meaning the oldest students are 23 though most graduate before this, consider it like you got your diploma at 19 but spend a few extra years of study to get more niche qualifications and you're also a TA). They teach about all branches of magic but currently focusing on rebuilding the lost resources from the fall of two courts so their studies are more practical and older students are tasked with research missions.
It also has several Headmistresses, Griselda is the Headmistress for the younger students. Faragonda is Headmistress for the older and advanced fairy students while Griffen is Headmistress for the older and advanced witches. Red Fountain is still a separate school still and only accepts 15 up. It trains Specialists only after they transfer from any other school that gives them a basic education. They could even transfer from Alfea like Sky and Mirta do.
The spoiler section, major confirmable endgame ships I'm 100% willing to admit are; Bloom/Roxy, Aisha/Nabu, and Tecna/Musa. There a many more ships that get messy and confirming endgame will spoil who does and doesn't make it because some break up or it's one sided. These ships are clear endgame and do not have additional shipping drama (meaning Tecna/Timmy never happen their only love interest is Musa). Icy and Stormy backstories are major spoilers, especially Icy's, I'm very proud of it but I can't say anything at all about it. And if Domino is revived and Bloom gets to meet her parents I imagine there's going to be a lot of grief to unpack. Not getting to raise your baby that you loved and wanted more then anything must be devastating. Knowing she was safe and loved can only comfort you so much when you wish it was you that got to provide that to your daughter. And for Bloom? I'm sure it's also a roller coaster of emotions too. Especially since they wouldn't be able to prioritize Bloom and getting to know over all of Magix.

bloom vs diaspro round 2
Tumblr media
okay,
1: Diaspro is not ugly
2: If it was Icy, Darcy or Stormy in disguise, non of them is ugly either
3: DO YOU REALLY THINK SHE LOOKS LIKE A WITCH? Have you noticed her transformation? her wings?? her powers that don't resemble the trix' powers in any way?

Iorda's Angst Season
Aka, season 6 is where I let her get the spotlight, and therefore I basically make her life hell. At this point, do the Trix care about her magic yada yada?
No. They want this annoying scum dead. Not even dead. They just want to get revenge for Iorda interrupting their plans and being annoying for the past few years.
NOT a part of the FF&FW (winx rewrite) timeline. This is just what I wrote down in my notebook four years ago when writing season 6, and what I'm adding mentally to what happened.
TW: Violence, blood, death
I wrote most of these things three years ago ngl, but younger me had the right idea of making this season centred on Iorda vs. Trix and all the trauma gurl gets from the consequences of her life.
BUT NOW I get to make things worse ^^
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
Iorda goes to Cloud Tower to maybe learn dark magic again after being stuck in an identity crisis for the past four years. She has her friends (Pyris aka her gf, Nith, Lucina, Mirta) and she might have a good year? WRONG.
When the Trix take over Cloud Tower Iorda is about to attack, but Pyris grabs her wrist like, 'no they gonna kill you. Don't be an idiot for once.' Everyone goes back to their dorms, etc etc.
Iorda can't contact the Winx, so um... shit. Pyris goes wandering around Cloud Tower, and Iorda is in their dorm. Forty minutes later she gets a call from an unknown number. Spoiler alert, tis Icy.
Blackmail yada yada. Pyris' screams through the phone, Iorda in a panic like, 'Omfg just please stop hurting my gf I wuv her,' and then she is forced to help the Trix.
Iorda gives them information about the Winx and yada yada she probably snaps at them/tries to attack them. She is (rightfully) livid. They probs attack her painfully or smth ngl. She gets ratioed and sent back to Ohio (aka pain).
When Bloom splits up her Dragon Flame (eventually when I rewrite this there will be actual repercussions for her) Iorda somehow gets a piece of it at Cloud Tower. She has a tiny bit of hope.
Iorda (she's been secretly helping the Winx very subtly) might get found out. The Trix may kill Nith or something in front of her though this didn't happen when I wrote it.
Eh why not. Yeah Nith dies.
Iorda escapes by kind of throwing herself through the window of her dorm (magic can't be used to escape due to a spell) and she gets Bloomix because of that. Pyris also escapes with her.
Later on, she ends up getting her wings cut off.
It happens when she's following the Winx's magic signature around, trying to find them. Iorda finally reaches them in China she sees the Trix about to kill the Winx, and she begins to fight them.
Bliss, Iorda's Pixie, also helps. But Iorda is outnumbered. She tells Bliss to go find the other Pixies. Iorda fights the Trix alone, though this leads to her getting her Bloomix wings kind of frozen off and she's barely conscious by the end of it. The Pixies arrive in time and Piff wakes up the Winx and whatnot.
And yes, Iorda will steal Stella's spotlight and fight Darcy in the Labyrinth. So help me.
The two of them make a 'deal.' Darcy basically says that she'll revenge the spell on Stella etc if Iorda goes to the center of the Labyrinth and fights whatever is inside, and if not, Stella dies.
ALSO (to make things worse) if Iorda fails, guess who gets her Mythix wings cut off? IORDA. Yeah and Darcy also pointedly says 'she can make it a lot worse than last time' and Iorda, of course, is scared as hell for her well-being and mental state.
But Iorda (who definitely was a Percy Jackson kid) see's Greek Myth carvings on the walls, and makes Darcy (because Iorda doesn't trust the witch to keep her word, and she doesn't have a choice anyway unless she wants Stella to die) swear on River Styx.
Darcy does, because she thinks it's just a stupid little Earth saying like yes she swears on river Styx now go die already Iorda.
Iorda is praying that it works. Iorda defeats the Minotaur, and when Darcy tries to attack her, she can't. Her magic isn't working. Iorda is a bit smug, like 'lol you got tricked and swore on a sacred oath get nerfed.'
(And of course, Darcy is livid but that isn't clear until the season is over).
Bloom defeats Acheron in the Legendarium world, Selena is redeemed (and stays and witch), though the enforcements and specialists are out looking for the Trix who escaped.
Everything is okay~?
Iorda is healing from everything. Seeing one of her closest friends killed in front of her, having to help the witches who she'd been forced to fight for years (and that fight took away her teenage hood), having her Bloomix wings cut off, and also Darcy's threats in the Labyrinth has made her slightly paranoid.
She doesn't trust things will ever go well for her. She feels for a long time that she's in danger and that it's a matter of time before something bad happens. Most of all, she hates being alone.
Iorda is going out on a picnic with Musa, Stella, and Aisha. Stella is getting ready at Alfea and is running late while the rest of them are at the gates. Aisha goes to get Stella.
Iorda tells Musa with a smile that she'll find a good picnic spot. Musa asks Iorda is she's sure, but Iorda is telling herself that she's safe and she'll never heal if she doesn't force herself to be alone sometimes.
Iorda is wandering through the forest...
Yeah she ends up getting ambushed by the Trix who of course want vengeance. Iorda is scared out of her mind and tries to call for help. Icy stabs her and cuts her across the face, and Iorda is in pain and is slumped on the ground.
Iorda knows she will die today.
Stormy says that the Winx might be here soon. Icy and Stormy go through a portal, and Icy tells Darcy to finish the job.
Iorda's just causally sobbing in pain (cause she just got stabbed) and Darcy honestly is smug as hell. Iorda doesn't want to die, so she asks for mercy yada yada pls don't kill me I have so much to live for.
Darcy stands up, and then proceeds to use her shadow magic to finish the job via kind of snapping most of the bones in Iorda's body. Then she leaves through a portal.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
Yeah and this is tame for me...

Since we had a Bloom post, might as well: what were the reactions to the Icy Reveal from the wider cast, and who learned what and when?
Okay so there's two kinda halves of this which is people learning about her mom vs. people learning about her dad.
Also for simplicity: Mom's name is Blizzeta, Dad's name is Inverno. Also for simplicity is a short rundown on them for anyone who's new/hasn't been down the tags.
Blizzeta kinda replaces the 'Ancestral Witches', as she's not like. Some ancient deity. She's just a normal, though powerful, Witch. And lead a group of other powerful beings in a quest to become even more powerful and rule over everyone.
Inverno is currently King of Dyamond. In my rewrite it's actually not a cursed planet at all, it's just snowy like that. His current wife is Crystal, and they have a daughter named Sapphire.
So who learns what when:
Icy herself always knew about her mother. She's aware of the legacy and was in an environment that made her feel that she had to finish what she started.
Icy tells Darcy and Stormy some time during their years at Cloud Tower. Like when they've bonded and she trusts them enough to let them in on her secrets and plan their future together of finishing what was started.
Most of the Winx and Specialists find out when they take that trip to Domino at the end of Season 1. Because uh. I kinda made this episode very dark in both the fact that I'm keeping most of the population dead, but also because of the eternal winter curse the bodies are still there and preserved quite well.
Anyway they get to see Blizzeta's preserved body and she and Icy look almost just alike so it's easy to connect the dots for them.
Which also kinda connects the dots of 'oh so that's why she's Like That™' even if they don't have the whole picture.
Not sure when the members who weren't in Season 1 find out.
Now there's no reveals up until Season 3 with Inverno.
Because Icy never knew exactly who her father was. She has vague memories of stuff her mom told her when she was very little, but she was literally a toddler it's fuzzy.
Anyway!
During Season 3 the plots include 1.) Bloom trying to figure out ways to fix Domino, and 2.) Icy low-key stalking Bloom to cause problems. So when Bloom goes to Dyamond hoping on a planet of snow and ice would know how to dispel a blizzard, Icy followed.
Icy gets temporarily captured during the events here, which involves her meeting Inverno. He sees her, clocks the whole 'ah shit Blizzeta's her mom...... oh FUCK she's my kid???' thing. Icy is both shocked but also like. It makes enough sense that she doesn't question it. She can see the family resemblance. She remembers some things her mom said that now make sense. She can tell that her mother likely intended to use this connection, but didn't get the chance.
At least Bloom is here during that conversation(idk if the others are or if they're all kinda off on their own more this season.). And she's.... so unsure what to think of it but hey she- she knows what it's like to suddenly find out you have a royal bloodline and all so she Gets It™ in a way. But also like. Girl are you okay?
Sapphire is listening in on the conversation because she's a curious little fucker. While she's not like, a baby. She's still a good bit younger and really is only thinking about the fact that she has a sister now.
The rest of the Winx+ would find out after Bloom reunites with them and updates them on that hot mess. And yeah there's a bit of concern on it because Icy is.... hasn't fully hit the 'dragged to the good side' bit (this is what really kicks it off for her), so they're mostly concerned with what she'll do about it. Also the other Royals are spitballing on what exactly Blizzeta's plan had been re: making Icy.

Final thoughts on season 6 despite my better judgment
Okay so this piece of shit has a few good things in it so we'll start with that. It's going to be a very short list, so it won't take too long before we get into the meat and potatoes
Things I liked about S6:
Icy's, Darcy's, and Stormy's dynamic in this season is actually peek. After s5 I was extremely hesitant to see how these three would be written, but it's actually great! They are extremely sibling towards each other, and the way they bully each other after failures is super cute
While I don't like the fashion in this season, tying it all back to Stella's love of fashion and having her passion come though is really cute and makes me wish that the winx were allowed to pursue their interests independently
The Legendarum in concept. I like the idea of stories in a book being animated with magic and going into pocket dimensions. I just like that, it was a fun way to immediately get into a new set piece
The dark witch forms. They had a very Salem energy that I absolutely loved
The specialists new outfits. They are finally wearing armor, Godspeed
The specialist's new weapons. They have weapons that can be relevant in a fight, they're not, but like they could be. Tbh they're already using magic weapons, having magic effects on the weapons was a long time coming
Miele. She's cute and she gets to be a badass and save Flora and be saved by Flora they are so cute 🥺🥰
How Flora got her Bloomix. Is it derivative of s3? Yes, this entire season is a worse season 3 except they don't have the balls to do anything half as cool as the Enchantix sacrifice. Is it cute to see Flora save Miele without her powers??? Yes!
Getting to see other magic schools do indeed exist, that was definitely fun
How the Musa/Riven arc ended. Like literally just the final episode of it where Riven left. That's the only good part of that arc and BOY IS IT GOOD. S4 gave me poisoning and this episode fixed it. Riven fear of not being able to help Musa against enemies, and him doing introspection without being smacked into it (I'm looking at you s3-4, he can do it on his own) is everything to me
Diaspro not being plot integral this season thank God, s5 was enough late season Diaspro. She's the fairy of the dragon flame, therefore fire is good for her was also a hysterical ass line
The trix disguising themselves as freshmen and going on trips with the Winx was funny, though why the fuck were they're only there freshmen I hate it here
Selina poisoning Flora has got to be the Selina and Bloom highlight, very cunning on Selina's end, and Blooms look of horror was peek
The vampires are really funny, but the zombie pirates were hilarious
The fun way they twirl the mythix wands sometimes, mythix can get so silly sometimes and it's super cute
Aisha and Nebula, they are so cute
Tecna and Timmy's fun raft adventure
Helia struggling with Flora's evil plants
Riven howling like a wolf, now bark like a dog boy
The werewolf fight in general was funny and entertaining
Icy vs Flora was emotional and action packed and very good! I loved that nature itself helped Flora recover
The elite girlies of CT fighting eachother and training was always cute
Timmy impressing Tecna's parents was cute
Stormy going mad with power in the Legendarum as Frankenstein's bride
Musa getting voice spells
Things I disliked about S6:
Daphne was characterized so badly here. She's nothing. She might as well have been sleeping beauty of the winx world and her personality would have been the same. There's absolutely no hint of the all powerful Nymph that's literally chiseled into the walls of buildings to commemorate her achievements. Now she's just clumsy, not as strong as the Winx, and is good at history. That's nothing. You could literally replace her with an entirely different character in this season and that would probably make more sense
Special mention to how Daphne is condescended in the beginning of this season. Why'd they do that to her
The beast of the depths. You literally made that one up for this season. It's very obvious that none of this was planned ahead of time nor are they even pretending that they give a shit about the timeline. Set it on fire.
The parties. The parties. The parties. Oh my god the parties. Anytime literally anything happens there's a completely useless party attached to it. Instead of developing literally ANY of the EXTREMELY underdeveloped subplots, they write in two billion fucking parties. I am tired
The fashion in this season is ugly, out of character, and has zero personality. Like. I feel like they were dressed by an AI, fucking randomly generated ass outfits. Terrible layering, over use of colors, and it's like they're always wearing outfits in the same fashion line. They never look like they own their own damn clothes, everything they wear is matching. It's like there's a hive mind, while yes I appreciate the incorporation of Stella's desire to be a fashion designer having them never wear their own clothes just makes them feel flat, like they don't exist outside of eachother
The pixies were more redundant and annoying than ever
Cloud tower being taken over in s1 was cool, it was meh in s3, and it's just plain boring and nothing in s6. Stop doing this over and over again I stopped caring the second time. "Oh well this time we'll make the school flying AND invisible." I hate you
The Legendarum as it was written. I swear to God it could have just been called the plot device machine, it just does whatever the writers want it to do
I just realized how did the pixies survive in the Legendarum that long???? Griffin literally flip flops her morals in this season again too, are you okay with tormenting sentient creatures or not please pick one
Why on earth did the witches of Cloud Tower support the Trix???? Why make witches in this show even more one dimensional. As well as the Trix's elite students weren't even memorable, this was more interesting when s3 did it with the mind controlled witches because they had to find why they were acting like that
Nex
NEX
Thoren
Did you remember that Roxy was in this season because I fucking didn't. She's so aggressively sidelined it's not even funny
The trix just show up where ever the winx are... On accident. Sure, they just have the most insane coincidences. God what even
What is a paladin anyways?? Still unclear on this
Okay I should probably say something more on Nex and Thoren. Thoren is literally a nothing character and the only thing we'd lose if he was removed is Sky being a bit pissy, Diaspro manipulating him specifically and not like... Nex or Roy or whatever. Nex is like. A bitch. He acts like s1 Riven but with less self esteem and paranoia issues. Like Riven is a self absorbed asshole who hates himself and who had an arc realizing that punishing everyone away was bad and that he needed to learn to trust, Nex is just a self obsessed asshole with a desire to embarrass and put people down, even being willing to actually injure them over stupid ass contests. Even when being manipulated by Darcy Riven was never that aggressive, he mostly just gossiped and did dragon fighting. Nex is literally a more dickish, aggressive, self obsessed, competitive, and uncaring, Riven. And you want to convince me that AISHA, AISHA "who said you were driving?" WOULD PUT UP WITH THAT SHIT ARE YOU KIDDING ME????
Literally everyone and their mom can steal powers in this season, it's so fucking easy it means nothing
Remember how in s2 there was a large amount of focus on the not Bloom main character because the main characters of Winx were the WINX CLUB and not Bloom, remember how s3 had a lot of focus on the not Bloom characters. S6 wants you to remember that Bloom is the most important specialest baby in the world and doesn't care that there's other main characters. Fuck narrative balance and giving the cast a chance to shine outside of Bloom I guess, Bloomix is a thing
How literally everyone got their Bloomix power except Flora. Triple back flip I'm going to hurl
What stated the Riven/Musa arc this season, like at the beginning he's just dismissive and overly competitive, it's only towards the end he says hes doing this because he wants to be able to help Musa. They should have written him like that the entire time
How quickly they rushed everyone getting their Bloomix, it was giving me charmix flashbacks
DIASPRO WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???? STOP SHOWING UP!!!
Bloom getting her Bloomix last in her own episode is trying to be s3 so bad. Okay Nick writers please sit down. That was so good and impactful because Bloom didn't have a home planet, this time Bloom should have gotten Bloomix first and you could have done something with Aisha's magic rejecting the dragon flame or something. Stop trying to be s3
Thoren/Daphne is underdeveloped, Riven(/Musa) is underdeveloped, Roy v Nex is under developed, Selina is underdeveloped, these are all season long arcs and they suck ass. Please, spend more time on your subplots over PARTIES
Allowing the pixies to have combat spells midagated how annoying and intolerable they are but it was also extremely weird. No Piff cannot attack people your making that up
Eldora's diary
Saying that Bloom had friends on earth, s4 did that too and look how that garbage turned out
Selina's lack of motivation and lack of consequences for her actions
S6 wastes so many episodes showing us places on earth when we could be going to new planets, I wanna see Romeula
Eldora's personality is the most annoying thing I've ever had to deal with
Eldora not noticing the FAIRY OF THE DRAGON FLAME IN FRONT OF HER
Eldora and Selina knowing Bloom, this literally makes no sense. And she was also an Alfea teacher because of course she was
You'd think Bloom would grow out of running to earth whenever she's upset, but no
The girls get into so many arguments this season over bullshit. Like yes I don't want them to be perfect friends but this is a bit much
Why is everything important in gardina?? The winx world conspires to make Bloom the only narratively relevant one
The extremely annoying amount of "Wow!" "Cool!" "Awesome!" The girls do constantly
Eldora can summon counter myths to fight the Legendarum, she does this once and never again
The entire mother's day thing, like they didn't do anything interesting with it, got rid of the day of the rose, and did another stupid party
The mythix wands, they are about as thin as paper, they're excessively pink, and why do they already match the Winx that makes no sense
The way the Winx need to keep proving themselves, like you can bring in conflict other ways. I would love to see a choosey artifact just once be like "oh the winx, go ahead ma'am's" that would be so funny
The 3d in this season is so ugly and I hate everything to do with it. Mythix is extremely ugly and bland and WHY ARE THERE SO MANY FLOWERS ITS SO FLOWERY I HATE IT
The time limit on the Legendarum world only exists for fake stakes, the pixies were in there for how long??
The spell "friendship flame" Bloom just being allowed to make people Faries makes me irrationally angry
The two things used to make the Legendarum key are so arbitrary it pains me
Magic just came back to earth but everyone is acting like it's been around forever
Stella being stupid and self centered again. Like Stella was full of herself but she was also usually aware of people's feelings and only accidentally hurt people by not thinking, she also is the glue that holds Winx together!!! She's the one who gets them all together!!!! You don't get it!!! She'd never act like that she does have a brain!!!
God I hate the entire thing around Stella being queen for a day except how Stella looked in a crown, it was all awful
The music cafe was nonsensical and stupid and I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT ALFEA
RUMPELSTILTSKIN IS THE MOST ANNOYING AND STUPID CHARACTER IN THIS SEASON AND THE FINAL BATTLE HINGES ON THIS DUMBASS CHARACTER AHHHHHHHHH
Musa not having any spells in Mythix
Acheron feels like discount wizard of the black circle and Valtor with the worst pacing and battle out of all the finale's I've seen thus far it's so bad
Daphne why are you getting married
In conclusion I hate it here
