It's such a beautiful place and I've been back several times now just to bask in how peaceful it is, but also just never stop geeking out that I'm standing where the Streamer Girl scene was filmed, which I think is a lot of people's favorite scene in the whole movie 😊

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Shorview Park in Washington where the streamer girl scene in Prospect was filmed! It was absolutely beautiful and a really amazing experience to stand where one of my favorite movies was filmed.

The moment he finds out the two of you are finally expecting your first child, Frankie is a messy mix of nerves and excitement. Months of tracking cycles and negative tests and fertility research turns into keeping track of obstetrician appointments and parenting research. Except the parenting articles all contradict each other and no one seems to be able to agree on a single thing. Eventually, you have to pry the laptop out of his hands and sit down with him for a long conversation, because he can’t be a good dad if he kills himself with all this stress and worry.

He finds peace in you, as always. The two of you sit there for hours and talk about what you both think is best, different things that you do and don’t want to do for the little life growing inside of you. If there’s one thing that Frankie knows how to do, it’s making plans. He knows that some of it will probably change once the baby actually arrives but that’s okay. If he has you, then he can do anything.

Frankie spends a week straight baby-proofing the house in the last month of your pregnancy. It doesn’t matter to him that it will be months before the baby is crawling - he needs his little one to be as safe as possible. The birth plan is memorized the second it’s finished and he’s buzzing with energy and excitement as those final weeks approach.

Your labor starts late at night. It felt like braxton-hicks at first, but after a few hours of restlessly tossing and turning, you’re awoken by very real contractions that have you panicking for a moment. Because holy shit, it’s finally happening. But Frankie? Frankie is as steady as a mountain. All of that planning of his really pays off. He lets you break his hand in your death grip, rubs your back, and kisses the side of your head as you work through the contractions.

Twelve hours later, Juliana Quinn Morales is born red-faced and wailing. The sound of her cries ignite something in Frankie that he’s never felt before, some deep rooted need to soothe her and crush whatever it is that made her so upset. He swallows down the nerves as the nurse places that squirming baby in his arms with a bright, “Congratulations, Dad!” Frankie climbs into your bed the moment the nurses have you cleaned up and taken care of and holds the both of you, his entire word cradled right there in his arms.

He drives the exact speed limit the entire way home from the hospital, constantly glancing between the road and the rearview mirror to look at you two in the back seat. The sight of you cooing at her quietly with that exhausted smile on your face makes his heart light up in his chest. Frankie encourages you to curl up on the couch and take a nap, promising to wake you in an hour when she needs to eat again and settles into his recliner across the room to snuggle with his little girl.

One of those many articles he read said that skin-to-skin contact is a great way for dad to bond with baby, so he strips away his shirt and lets her rest against his chest, a soft green baby blanket draped over her back. He’s careful to tuck the edge away from her face. The feeling of her little heart thrumming away against his lulls him into a relaxed state and he murmurs all the little promises he told her when she was still in your belly. Promises of love and protection and support. Everything she could ever need.
