Symbols of Takiishi and Umemiya in Ch.150
Contains Chapter 150 spoilers!!!
I was working on symbolisms in WBK and chapter 150 came out and I LOST MY MIND GRRRR
Continue under the cut.
The panel of Takiishi vs Umemiya was directly accompanied with another panel:
In my previous post, it was (not really subtly) implied that Umemiya, being the Boufuurin leader and surrounded by the Four Heavenly Kings, carries the same role as Buddha. Thus, you can see Budda on the right.
But what about Takiishi? We have so little information of him, but from this frame, I'm pretty certain that here, Takiishi is Garuda, or Karura in Japanese Buddhist version.
Garuda in Buddhism is invoked as a symbol of impetuous violent force, speed, and martial prowess.
Karura (迦楼羅), sometimes can go by the name of konjichō (金翅鳥, lit. "gold-winged bird", is a gigantic, fire breathing bird that feeds on dragons/serpents. In Journey to the West, Garuda was subdued by Buddha and served Buddha from then on.
EDIT: I WAS WRONG! THANK YOU ANON FOR TELLING ME
"Ume is associated with fudo myoo, not buddha. He has a sword and fangs, which is how he's usually depicted." - Anon
TYSM anon this really sheds some light into me, I'm rewiring all my thoughts rn!

🎐 Wind Breaker CH.154: Raging Inferno
💭 THOUGHTS & ANALYSIS
[ ⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️ ]
💭 Whenever it’s Wind Breaker day, I’m a nervous mess as the time of the chapter drop approaches. It’s worse that it’s my time of the month. I kid you not, when I was reading the chapter, my whole body was icy cold. I hope I get my thoughts across here.
I appreciate y'all for reading and liking my threads. Never expected it.
I wanna take this opportunity to appreciate Nii sensei’s fighting panels. They’re easy to follow and he brings impact on the punches.
This chapter though…it’s triggering my scoliosis 🫠 Twice! In one chapter!
Oh the way Sakura shuddered when Umemiya lifted his bloody face after he punched Chika on the back. The way Sakura stuttered a “H-hey…”
Our boy is scared of our leader.
And now he’s scared for Chika’s life because he believes Umemiya might seriously do a bad number on him even though he’s aware he’s strong too.
I know. I don’t like this either. The fact he had had this close bond with Ume especially after the leader shared his heavy past to him. And now…Sakura looks like he has this urge to stay away from him.
I've mentioned before that if the Old Ume never won against Chika...and with how he is acting right now, Ume might lose. Ume needs to stop being blinded by his rage and be clear of his goal here. Because right now, it just looks like he just wants to render Chika unconscious.
Just as I imagined, Ume would bother the heck out of Chika as he did with Hiragi, Tsubaki and I’m sure even Momose and Mizuki. But Ume tries to speak in Chika’s language. I'm sure he got to know him a little bit through him or their schoolmates. And it led Ume to place bets in their fights for Chika to join him.
"If I win, you gotta join me"
Chika left because most of Furin was getting soft and boring thanks to Umemiya. But most of all, he can't enjoy fighting Umemiya anymore. He enjoyed fighting THAT Ume. The Ume that was struggling and grasping for a change in the gang. The Ume who would do anything to have his goals and ideals met. But Ume was already gaining that. Because Ume was already attaining his goals, he changed; he has gone softer and gentler like the rest of Furin. So Chika left.
When Endo finally noticed, he had to make Furin and Umemiya like how they were before. Angry, unhinged, and desperate…so his dear Chika wont get bored.
Well, here it is. He made it happen. Endo sent that declaration of war, brought the town and Bofurin into chaos, and made sure Umemiya stood helplessly in the rooftop as h watched his found family get hurt...all to bring back that old Umemiya from few years ago. Anything for his sweet Chika Takiishi.
Thinking of what Endo said, we get that Chika has an unfathomable excitement to fight Umemiya. Perhaps it's the thrill of fighting someone as strong as him, someone like a raging fire. But is there something more to it? The way Chika's eyes shine, getting a kick out of their exchange of hands together. Is it to shut Umemiya down? Crush his soul? Break his spirit? (Oh wait. That's reminding me of how Endo attempted to do on Sakura chapters ago... 👀)
If you've been following me (in twitter), I was clinging to this idea that Umemiya would do something scary that would trigger Sakura to act and snap Umemiya out of it. I never thought it would already happen. That Umemiya would lose. As a cliffhanger, it seems so.
I had to zoom on the last page to see if Umemiya's eyes are actually closed. But I wonder what would happen next. In the last page, Chika just lifted his head, filled with excitement and adrenaline, but is he fully aware that Ume is unconscious? IF he is unconscious.
If he isn't, would he be like "Hey! Let's continue fighting!"
But if we're thinking of the weights of their fists, Umemiya would have weighed heavier; if he managed to make his resolve and goal clear in his fight with Chika. But if he's just so blinded by the heat of his emotions, it probably explains why he's knocked on the ground.
But for Chika? What is it he's fighting for? It must be something more than the thrill. Because what if Umemiya...won't fight him anymore?
Ngl, I desperately want to see a point of view of either Chika or Umemiya. So far, we only have been hearing from Endo and Sakura. We are stuck with them as spectators of the fight; which I think is what Nii-sensei wants us to feel. And I'm sure we feel the same way as Sakura: helpless (like Umemiya watching from the rooftop 🥲)
My initial predictions?
This may just be for cliff hangers sake and Umemiya is still conscious. And maybe...we might see another side of Umemiya. Defeated? A pathetic side Sakura's never seen? Because Nii sensei has built Umemiya (even in his character design. Hello, wide shoulders?) to be this protective big brother in the gang.
But I feel like that's kinda farfetched. Umemiya and his friends have worked so hard to bring peace to the town and bring order to Bofurin. He should not be defeated. He wouldn't allow it.
Whatever will happen, I believe Umemiya has to stop being like his old self and be firm with what he needs to do in order to stop Chika.

Hi can you please write chika shihōin x reader
y/n is the Captain of the 14th Division, and she is beautiful, has a nice navigator, always smiles at everyone, and treats them kindly, and this makes one suspect that she is one of the most dangerous and powerful killers in this era.
I love how you care about this character and your posts are really cool ♥️
Hello!
That is very kind of you! I am glad you enjoy what I have to offer!! I hope this is of your liking as well!
Thank you for requesting!
Tsuki's note: I tried to do gender neutral so more people can enjoy, I hope that's ok?
-----------------------------------------------
You were the captain of the 14th division, the most recent one to be created.
You tried your best to let everyone in the team comfortable and trained your lieutenant very well too.
Because of it everyone really liked you. You were kind to everyone, had a beautiful smile and always helped the newcomers.
That didn't mean you were helpless at all. You were a fierce warrior and could easily overkill most of your enemies.
But people hardly believed you were that ruthless - a person so kind, so sweet, how could they be such a killing machine?
The ones that saw this other side of you were the other captains and a few lieutenants - the ones that survived on the battlefield.
Due to this duality, you called the attention of the second division captain Chika Shihoin. He was surprised yet amused when he first saw that side of yours.
You were so gorgeous, yet so ruthless and it was almost gracious. At first he approached you a little bit uneasy, not sure if you would be fine with a chit-chat or not.
When he realized you were just as lovely as he remembered from the meetings and hallways, he started acting more like himself - joking around, swinging an arm around your shoulders, a grin on his face all the time, a free spirit and a ridiculous and prideful stance.
You didn't mind his way at all. In fact you loved it - it was refreshing. You both got sent to joint missing from time to time and he also saw another side of you - someone that got sad and grieved heavily with the passing of your comrades.
But you did not cry in front of others only when you were alone. He could see you fighting the tears and you still managed to smile.
Chika noticed the moment you two were close, very close when you started crying just by looking at him after a mission - you were comfortable enough to be vulnerable with him.
But what scared and thrilled him the most is that his heart ached really bad to see you sad. He wanted to stop your sadness, protect you at all costs - he knows you don't need any protection, but still.
So Chika learnt how to comfort you. He hugged you tightly, sometimes whispering something sweet, sometimes in silence. He would have one arm on the back of your head and the other one around your waist.
When you calmed down, you would lean your forehead to his chest and stay in silence for a while. Soon enough you lifted your head, smiling at him. A faint taint on your cheeks could be seen and his heart skipped a bit all the time.
There was your usual self. You thanked him while hugging him. He soon figured out he was head over heels for you.
He loved that you were so sweet and kind to him - and everyone- and that he didn't need to worry about you fighting. He knew you would win.
So even when the war broke out, Soul Society was invaded, he was at ease about your safety. Completely secure you would be back to his arms.
Holding that thought, he moved through the battlefield swiftly. When it was all over he went to look for you, he missed your smile.
He found you, alive and bloody, but not badly injured. You saw him, you smiled at Chika with tears streaming down your face - you were grieving.
He knew this would happen, that's why he went to find you, to be with you and to comfort you.
In the end, he decided to ignore his family's pleas to marry someone else - he had only eyes for you. Your attitude deceived the Shihoin as it did with most shinigamis.
He loved that. He loved how everyone thought you needed his protection, when in truth he was the one who could be swept off his feet and carried away by a smiling, pretty face.
-----------------------------------------------
Thank you for reading !
Let me know what you think!

(From @boquetofblades ; Chika -> Askin you know the plot we talked abt 👁️👁️)
"For every problem, there is a solution."
Spy Sentences, Vol. 9 // ACCEPTING
-----
blood splatter . boring war .
all he could hear was screaming of people around him and the sounds of slashing - most of the Quincies he have fallen upon was dead now - what a shame . he supposed the whole new world thing ain't that good - well it is still a good deal to a boring and dull colorless life of his .
blood war .
as he looked up at the sky putting a hand above his eyes - the sky were bloody red - literally . ew . well maybe he should consider leaving this all behind - as he stepped forward avoiding getting his pants dirty with the blood all around him - seems almost impossible to get through this whole place without getting dirty -
jumping through hopping through - bodies upon bodies upon bodies and upon blood - oh fuck he stepped on a pool of blood - great - his pants is stained now - a sigh as he shake his leg around hoping some blood would comes off . . what an idiot why the fuck would it comes off -
a voice called out .
head looking back over his shoulder with a narrowed eyes - great - a fucking useless ass opponent - isn't he one of the captain though ? well he supposed he should be at least a bit wary .
not caring about the blood on his pants and his shoes as he turned around putting a hand on his hip as he put his weight down right to his left side .
tsk .
" there's no solution round' here . you either die or die "
it was an honest answer , he still quite don't understand his power - he only understand a tiny bit of it and yet all he learned to do was to do finger guns to shoot gift balls at opponent - at the current moment he only oh so knew to shoot a slow one - how fucking useless -
why did his majesty grant him this power again . .

Original Character Post for World Goes On Series
The World Goes On is my series that studies specific characters from the fic ‘Bloodied Hands, Bruised Heart’, wherein Hikaku deals with many things including politics to try and see Madara step down or removed from his Clan Head position. Due to the fact there are hardly any characters in the Warring Clans Era, I have made many, many OCs for this series. Beneath the line goes through each named character along with a quick sentence about them and their position, as needed.
I would also like to mention these is only a list of all the characters who are mentioned by name in the main fic, as sharing a list of all the other OCs who never quite made it onto the screen seems pointless in my opinion.

CHAPTER 3: LEARN AND ADAPT
You were a bit confused but mostly apathetic. You didn't understand why you were a guest, even though that moon man was adamant about kicking your head into the curb before, but here you were, being fawned over by a giant chicken as she helped clean you up and get you some non-bloody clothes.
You were in the crew's quarters. Slightly swaying to the rocking of the ship as you were sitting on Chika's bed. You snort a bit at the on the nose name, but you immediately went back to just staring at a bed that sat across from you. You could see dust particles dancing in the sunlight that streamed through the port holes.
You had already checked your nose to see if you had broken it. You didn't thankfully, since you weren't sure anyone here would be able to reset it properly for you. Honestly if you're really here for the rest of your life, you're going to have to be extra careful with your health since no one will know how to help you.
That thought made you scrunch up on yourself and you mentally tried to throw it away from your mind to keep you from falling into despair, clinging fitfully to your apathy.
You look up when you heard a knock, and you see the giant chicken had entered the crew’s quarters. You get the impression that she asked you a question.
“What?”
“Are you doing okay sweet pea?”
You were annoyed by the question. Of course you’re not okay. How can you ever be okay again? You're in a completely different dimension surrounded by a world you can't possibly begin to understand.
“Chick-a-pea? Sugar?”
Your head snaps back up to the giant white chicken woman and she was walking towards you with concern heavy in her eyes.
You don't even really know what you could say. So you just baa-ed like a sheep at her. You weren’t mocking her or anything, you just didn’t trust your words and some small part of you thought that making weird animal noises would make you blend in better… Considering everything.
The chicken woman chuckled, with a light clucking sound to her laugh. She still looked at you with concern, but she didn’t press you.
“Here,” She said handing you a new shirt, “The bandana managed to soak up most of the blood and got on your shirt, so here’s this.”
Your third shirt this day. You were wondering what you’ll do when you have your “monthly” start. You kneaded the soft material in your hands as your mind wondered off again.
You felt a weight sink beside you, and you looked at Chika who joined you on her bed. She leaned forward and pressed her fist to her cheek as she let her elbow rest on her knee. She was giving you a soft look that you can’t really place right now. Then she spoke.
“What’s your name Sug’?”
You blink at her. You could have sworn you told her your name when you learned of hers, but you guessed you didn’t. With a cracked voice, you told her your name.
“That’s a fun sounding name,” she said with a toothy smile.
Oh god, a chicken with teeth. It’s like those articles about accidental gene unlock-er thing-ys all over again.
“So,” she continued, seemingly unaffected by your attitude and standoffishness, “What’s your world called?”
You blink at her, so slowly it was almost like you were blinking one eye at a time.
Instead of answering her, you ask a question of your own, “How “normal” is this for you guys?”
“Not normal at all. I mean… There are legends of course, and there’s our oldest telling’s in that one religion that the name of escapes me, but no, this is just as strange for us as it is for you.”
You were scared to ask why moon guy was so addiment about getting rid of you then, but you were also curious, so you asked, “Stories?”
“Oh, yes,” Chika clucked, “I don’t know all of them, but I can tell you my favorite if you want?”
You look down at your knees. Then you scooted back in the bed so that you could crisscross your legs as you turned towards her and you said, “Sure.” You continued to play with the new shirt in your hands.
Chika’s eyes sparkled with excitement, and she scooted back against the opposite side of the bed and began her story with, “A long and far away ago…”
It was nice hearing the story. The tale that Chika told was about a creature from another world that was sent to this world as punishment because the creature’s world couldn’t handle its shapeshifting abilities. She continued to tell you about how it used its shapeshifting abilities to then fuck every animal it found and from each animal it impregnated, at least one animal from the litter became capable of walking on two legs and learned speech.
“That’s your favorite story, huh,” you said without any emotion in your words.
“Yep,” she said cheerily, “It’s only one version though. I do like the other version where the shapeshifter takes the time to help teach their new kids how to walk and talk instead of them learning on their own.”
You would have asked more questions, but the conversation was railway-ed by your stomach growling and you groaned at how it hurt you. You wrapped your arms around your stomach and doubled over, your forehead brushing your overlapping ankles. You felt Chika patting your back.
“Don’t worry. We’ll be eating soon. You specifically will get to dine with the captains today,” she said like it was a good thing.
You didn’t want to eat with the captains. You would have said it too, but then there was some heavy foot stomping as people ran towards the crew’s quarters.
You and Chika look up to see a wolf, a pig, and a frog run into the room. You felt the three anthropomorphic animals lay their eyes on you and you had the immediate urge to hide under the covers.
The three of them ran at you in a manic sprint that made you think of the sunny guy and couldn’t help scrambling backwards and into the space between the wall and Chika’s bed.
The pig grabbed at one of your feet and started prodding you while the other two started bombarding you with questions. Chika was trying to get them to back off with gentle words, but they were just ignoring her, too caught up in wanting to examine the foreign creature that you are.
Rightfully sick of everything, you manage to kick the ball of your free foot under the pig’s chin. Making his teeth loudly click together and he let go of you. You immediately scrunched up on yourself as you glared at the three animal people from your odd position between the wall and bed. The frog and wolf laughed at the pig as he rubbed his chin and glared at you.
“Guys! Please!” Chika said getting frustrated with them.
“It’s no fair, Chika,” the frog guy said as he hopped on the bed and peaked around Chika’s back, “You got to keep them to yourself for the past two days with Mr. Hippo. Now that they’re awake we want to see the legendary creature thing.”
You felt very much like a cat in a cage being forced to go to the vet.
You felt your head being touched by a big, pawed hand and a gruff woman’s voice said, “Weird. So you have fur on your head and above your eyes but not anywhere else? Do you trim it away or do you not grow anymore?”
A growl left your throat as you swatted blindly at the wolf. The pawed hand left your head as she chuckled at your reaction, not taking your anger and frustration seriously.
“I swear to God, I’m going to fucking snap,” you say. You then angrily say your full name and add, “I’m a fucking person! Not a thing, or an it, or a creature! A person. And I would appreciate it if you’d kindly fuck off! I want to put my new shirt on.”
You sunk lower into the crevice between the bed and the wall as you glared at the four anthropomorphic animals.
The pig looked ready to bust out laughing, but Chika got up and said, “Of course Sug’. We’ll get out of your hair.”
Chika then grabbed the pig by the ear and grabbed the wolf by her arm and glared pointedly at the frog.
The frog looked legitimately guilty under Chika’s glare, and he shuffled off the bed and started walking out. Chick was following the frog and speaking over her shoulder towards you over the pig’s whining, saying, “I’ll be just outside so I can take you to the captain’s quarters. The food should be ready when we get up there.”
When they were out of sight you heard Chika shooing the three of them away. You didn’t trust that you had much privacy still, so you swung your legs off the bed and fully sunk into the crevice. You are the crevice, the crevice is you. You lay there, snug between the wall and the bed and honestly, it’s the safest you’ve felt in a while… but it’s not exactly the best place to change your shirt. So with a bit of jerking, you managed to fall through to the floor and you rolled under the bed.
It still wasn’t a good place to change your shirt, but it wasn’t going to hurt you. Laying on your back, you shimmy out of your bloody shirt and shimmy into the new one, tossing aside the bloody bandana. Then you lay there for a second. Just so you could have a moment to breath. You didn’t have it in you at the moment to find anything about your situation funny. You only felt that gnawing sensation of being utterly and totally alone.
You’ve felt that way before, but you’ve never felt that way while being the only human in the world… Considering Chika’s story, how many other people from other dimensions were dragged into this world against their own wills? Why did this world take from other realities? Why were you taken?
You sigh, then sneeze from the dust you accidentally breathed in. Then you rolled out from under the bed and walked out of the crew’s quarters. Chika, like she said, was standing just outside waiting for you. You looked around suspiciously for the other three.
“Oh, don’t worry Chick-a-pea, they’re not around.”
You sigh, then you said, “Even if I could hide forever”—and you really wish you could—“it’s not going to do me any good… I’m just going to have to deal with everyone being the way they are to me…”
Like exposure therapy, you were thinking, but you’ve never been to a therapist before and mostly try to therapize yourself, so you don’t really know how right or wrong you are.
Chika hummed thoughtfully, then said, “True. But they could also stand to be a bit more thoughtful of your feelings.”
You sigh again, slumping as you said, “I think you’re the only one who thinks I have feelings.”
Chika opened her beak, but then your stomach growled painfully again, and she closed her beak. Thought for a second. Then she turned away from you as she motioned for you to follow her, “Come on. Don’t want you getting lost in the dark.”
# # #
The table was set in the Captain’s Quarters but instead of sitting and getting ready to eat, the two captains were arguing with each other. The two had been arguing since Moon insisted that they talk.
“I thought we were done talking about this,” Sun said, “Why do you want to get rid of them again? We voted on keeping them.”
“You don’t understand,” Moon said, then he sighed as he tapped his closed fist against his hip. A knocking sound emanating from the action, “We don’t understand this. About anything. But I know one thing, there was one vote that didn’t get to be added and it was theirs.”
“They were passed out,” Sun said exasperated, “Besides. Why would they want to leave? They know we’re not going to hurt them and that they are a guest of ours. Don’t you want to learn about where they came from and all that cool stuff!?”
“Why would they even want to share anything they know with us,” Moon asked, “Why would they want to stay? You didn’t see them in the crow’s nest. They actively don’t want to be here.”
Sun really, really wanted to keep you. He wanted to befriend you and hear stories from you and share jokes with you. Sun understood his partner’s hesitancy in the beginning, but when he saw that your mere presence wasn’t going to end the world for them Sun thought that Moon had finally calmed down about keeping you.
“Don’t you want to get to know them? Even a little bit,” Sun asked.
“That’s not the issue. The issue is that more likely than not, they think that they are a prisoner here and we should let them make their choice about staying or leaving when they can,” Moon enunciated the last three words sharply. Making it clear he doesn’t want to just abandon or kill you.
Sun took a second too long to come up with a retort when the door to the cabin was knocked on.
“Come in,” Moon yelled.
Chika opened the door and said, “They’re here!” then with a sidestep, she got out of your way saying, “Ta-da!”
Sun gave you his brightest smile. You looked like you had lost a wrestling match with a dust bunny, but you still looked as interesting and as amazing as the day you first stepped foot onto their ship. He was a little sad that you didn’t return his smile, but it was fine. You just had to get to know him.
Long legs striding, Sun quickly made his way over to you. He hesitated in his stride only a little bit when he saw you step back and raise your arms in front of yourself, like you were expecting to be attacked or something. Sun ignored it though when you didn’t run away from him, and he took one of your hands in both of his and shook it firmly. Making little undulating sounds come out of you from the force of his shaking.
“I’m Sun and that over there is Moon,” the solar man introduced himself, happy to finally do so properly, “Welcome aboard our ship Crusty Waters.”
Sun let go of your hand and you stumbled a bit. You mumble out your name. Sun’s smile widened at that.
Sun then turned to Chika and said, “Thank you for taking care of them. We’ll see you around old girl.”
Chika rolled her eyes at him then said in a softer, motherly tone, “Be gentle with them,” then with a more boisterous tone she added, “See ya around old boy! Chickadee! Moon!”
Sun was taken aback by her warning, but before he could really think all that deeply, he heard your stomach roar and that had to be fixed.
“Ah, jeez. Come. We got food ready. Come. Come. Come. Sit!” Sun said has he grabbed your hand again and started dragging you to the table.
He felt you resist his pulling for only a second, but since it only lasted a second, he didn’t think you were resisting at all. You were then practically shoved into your chair by the exuberant sun guy.
With a bit of a flourish, Sun presented the food ladened table of bread, salted vegetables, and the fish stew.
“Eat all you want. We don’t want you starving to death,” Sun said with his bright smile.
His smile faltered when he looked to see you only glaring at him instead of being entranced by the food.
To try and get you to stop glaring at him like you were, he reached towards you to pat down your fur, since it looked static-y from the dust bunnies, but you gripped the arm rests of your chair as you leaned away from his touch. Your glare only darkening as he got closer.
Sun felt at a lost. He thought he was doing a pretty good job showing you he was a good person. That you could trust him and this crew with not hurting you or anything of that matter.
Sun was taken out of his thoughts as Moon cleared his throat. The sound of a chair scraping on wood as Moon sat down on the other side of the table. Sun withdrew his hand and the solar man saw you visibly relax. Sun retreated to Moon’s side.
Sun gave Moon a silent look that asked, what am I doing wrong?
And Moon gave him a look that Sun read as, are you serious?
Yes! I’m serious. Sun said with only his frown.
Moon rolled his eyes and gave him a look that said, Later. We have a guest.
Sun sat down beside his partner, and he looked up at you, giving you that bright smile and said, “Welp. Dig in.”
You didn’t though. You just sat and stared at them.
You held Sun’s gaze for a solid minute as Sun nervously tapped his fingers against the table.
Eventually you spoke up in a gravely, tired voice, “I’m not going to eat while you’re watching me. That’s weird.”
Sun looked to Moon, and he was already halfway through filling up his plate. Sun made a show of getting to work on filling his and he heard you starting to scrape through what you wanted.
By the ocean’s vengeance, nothing’s going as he thought it would go. Sun thought if he just upped the charm. Got you to eat with them. You’d be smiling and happy to be here. He doesn’t know what your world is like, but he thought you’d at least be mesmerized by how different this world was… Maybe Moon was right…
Honestly, your attitude sort of reminded him of when he first met Moon as a kid and if that’s the case, he truly did have an uphill battle with showing his worth.
“So,” Sun began awkwardly, “What’s your world like?”
He chanced a glance up at you. In lieu of using a spoon, Sun saw you chugging the fish stew from your bowl. Sun smiled slightly at your exuberance, happy that you were liking the meal. When he turned to see if Moon was seeing what he was seeing, Sun saw that Moon had a more concerned look on his face.
Sun heard you lay your bowl back down with a sigh, as you said, “It’s fine.”
Sun frowned at your lack of details.
“Well, uh, that’s good, but what’s it like? Does it have flying cities and oogooles that roam the oceans?” Sunny thought to ask in reference to a story he grew up hearing about.
The silence dragged on, and Sun looked up to see you giving him a confused stare, “What’s an oogoole?” you asked.
“It’s um, it’s a giant eel like creature that’s capable of creating whirlpools,” Sun said.
“Those exist here,” You asked, your voice high with concern.
“No,” Moon interjected, “It’s just a storytime creature.”
Sun saw you physically relax again before reaching for a whole sea apple and bighting into it. Your face scrunching up at the bitterness, but you kept eating. Sun wanted you to keep talking about your old home, but you gave no indication of actually continuing on your own and the solar being was getting frustrated with how little information you were willing to give.
Sun internally groaned to himself. Moon was right. You really didn’t want to be here.
Sun felt Moon lightly pat his back in a comforting manner, like Moon knew what he was thinking. Sun sighed, then he continued to eat in the awkward silence that had stretched over the three of them.
The sound of your chair scratching against the wooden floor filled the air, making Sun and Moon look up at you. Sun thought you had a very determined but terrified look on your face with the way you were hunched over yourself, and your brow was knitted.
“What do you two hope to gain from me being your “guest”,” you asked.
Sun’s mouth was set into a thin frown at the way you said guest, but it was quickly replaced with a genuine smile as what you asked finally registered in his head.
“Well, we want to be friends,” Sun said simply.
“Why?”
Sun was taken aback by that question, “Why not?”
You stood up straighter. Then said, “Maybe because you guys think I’m some weird omen or blessing for you to use for whatever reasons you have. Don’t think I don’t remember what you guys said about me before I passed out, I’ll have you know that I am not a scientist, or a teacher, or culturalist, or anything else that could “benefit you”. I’m just some joe-shmoe who hasn’t finished their film school studies yet. So I’d get used to being disappointed in me, if I were you,” then in a quieter voice, you added, “I would have rather you guys kill me when I was unconscious.”
Sun could see your hands shaking as they were clasped to your chest, and you were looking away from them like you were at Judgment Day. Sun felt compelled to give you a hug, but Moon spoke up.
“We’re not going to kill you.”
You look up at Moon like he had some ulterior motive. Your turn your body away from them like Moon was going to come after you, despite Moon still staying sat in his chair.
“You’re also free to leave,” Moon continued to say.
You narrow your eyes at him.
“I wouldn’t recommend you leaving on one of our lifeboats, but we’d stock you what you’d need if you were addiment about it. It’ll be a couple of weeks, but we will be heading to our usual port that we dock at to sell the clay we’ll be harvesting. You can leave then,” Moon offered through his explanation.
You looked back down at your feet, looking like you were thinking about what he said.
It’s true that Sun thought you would be able to tell him stories or maybe teach them how to make a machine of some kind, but he wasn’t disappointed in you being here. He still very much wanted you to be here, cause who doesn’t want to get to know an interdimensional being?
Speaking up finally, Sun said, “Of course you are also welcome to stay with us for as long as you want. As a guest you’d be allowed privileges like eating with us, getting first dibs on any fresh fruit we may get our hands on, we can have someone be your attendant, and… whatever else would make you comfortable,” Sun said slowing his roll as he saw your face becoming more and more of a sickened grimace.
Sun nervously tapped his fingers against the table as he and Moon watched you think things over.
Finally, you said, “I want to join the crew.”
“Really,” Moon asked as Sun felt hope rush through him.
They want to stay… But not as a guest?
“I want to join the crew…” you repeat, less confident.
“Do you have any experience with sailing,” Moon asked, ever the pragmatic one.
“I’ve never been around so much water in my life, let alone ever been on a boat,” you confess.
That had Sun perking up. What kind of a world doesn’t have water? Or boats?
“I see,” Moon said as he paused to drink his rum, then he said, “We’ll have our Quarter Master be your trainer then. Second to us, he knows everything there is to know about working on a boat.”
Sun nodded in agreement to that.
“When we get to port, we’ll go shopping for a bed for you to put into the crew’s quarters. Until then you’ll either have to find a spot on the floor or share with someone’s bed… I’m sure Chika won’t mind sharing with you,” Moon stated.
You were still giving both captains a very distrusting look, and it hurt Sun a bit that you still seemed to think so little of them.
Picking at your fingers, you said, “Okay. Thank you for welcoming me on board… Can I go now?”
Sun didn’t say anything or move, because he still wanted to spend some time with you, but he could see that you were still very uncomfortable.
Moon gestured for you to go ahead and leave.
Before leaving the captain’s quarters you grabbed a few small rolls of bread, then made your way out into the growing twilight of the deck.
Sun rests his elbows on the table as he sighed heavily into his hands.
“Well, at least they have more sense than I originally gave them credit for,” Moon stated, going back to eating.
“It’s good that they wanted to stay though, right?” Sun asked through his hands. When Moon didn’t answer immediately, Sun looked up at him and asked, “Right?”
Moon could only shrug.
Sun sighed, then said, “At least Bonnie will be happy that he’s just accounting for a new crew member and not for a guest.”
Moon nodded in agreement with that.
# # #
Minus the time you were on the Crusty Waters while you were unconscious, you've been apart of the crew for a week. You didn't like having to be brought in front of the crew as the captains told everyone what was up. It made you feel too much like a target at the time.
Meeting Freddy was nice though. Like Chika, he had a very calm aura about him, and he didn't seem to mind that you asked him the same question more than once to make sure you were understanding what you were being taught.
You learned a lot about the ship. Like how there's an on-board distillery at the “bellybutton” of the ship that separates the salt from the water, and it’s all powered by the movement of the ship and made of a type of hard grass. It was really neat to look at. You also learned how fresh water was only used for food and drinking, and you had to bathe or wash your clothes in the salt water. You learned how to check the sails and sail rings for wear and tear. You learned that the kitchen oven was powered by solar energy and how to clean said solar panels and other cool and not so cool things.
While you were learning, for the most part, you were right in your assumptions that the people on this ship do almost permanently live on this ship. Like having your job be inside your apartment complex. It's not unusual, but you didn't know if it was because of necessity or if that's just how they roll.
Freddy was also tasked with teaching you how to use weapons, but you could tell that you were disappointing the big orange/brown bear with sword and gun training. You were too apathetic to really exert yourself for more than the boat lessons and safety procedures he was training you in. You’d be less apathetic if Freddy was more willing to punch you when you didn't try to dodge his punches, but he was too nice for that.
The rest of the crew annoyed the shit out if you. Poking you. Prodding you. Never giving you a moment to just be, always being asked about the worst and most personal questions you could be asked. You didn't want to retaliate by throwing punches because the only self-defense you took was in orientation at your college. Eventually you just broke down in frustrated tears and had to be consoled by Chika. Which was embarrassing enough as is, considering there's no real privacy on the ship.
Though, with Freddy’s help, Chika did go around really laying down the law with anyone who interacted with you after that. Even getting on Captain Sun's case when he was getting too hands-y with you. You truly appreciated it despite how tired and hollow you felt.
Everything just aggravated you and made you feel so isolated and alone. You wanted to go home. You wanted to continue your studies. You wanted to see your Mom and Dad. Who’s taking care of your succulents while you’re gone? Are all those stray cats doing okay? Do those park kids miss you? You wish your phone hadn’t of died on you so you could look at the pictures.
These were thoughts you had while laying in bed with Chika. She was slightly cooing in her sleep as she has an arm around your waist. You really wish you had a blanket. None of the animal crew members had blankets as they didn’t need them because of their fur, feathers, high body temperatures, or just lack of needing one in general. You could ask the captains for a blanket since you saw their bed when you were in their cabin, but you wanted to limit your interactions with them as much as possible. Mainly because one acted like a child who wanted to keep you as a pet and the other was literally willing to just kill you because you might be some bad omen. So yah, not going to ask.
Sighing, you gently get out of bed and make your way up to the deck. You wanted a moment to clear your head.
You’re still working on getting your sea legs, but you manage just fine since the water wasn’t that choppy tonight. The Crusty Waters was parked in the middle of the ocean because they were at the clay mine. It’s weird to go mining for clay in the middle of the ocean but you weren’t ready yet to ask about it.
Once you were up on deck, you stand at the entrance to just gaze up at the stars. Being in the city, you never really seen much of the night sky. Just a few noticeable constellations here or there and the moon. Here, in this world though, the night sky looked like it was painted with watercolors. It always caught your breath every time you looked up at night. Especially since the moon was now new, and you could see the stars all the better.
You stand there for a minute or two, slightly swaying with the ship, before moving on to what you really wanted to do.
You pick a random side of the ship’s deck and make your way to the railing. You grab the wooden railing and used your body to try and shake it, just to see if it would shake with you. It didn’t. You then make your way over to the closest rope ladder and climb up it high enough so that you can plant your bare feet on the railing. Then you’re walking along the railing like you would a balance beam.
You walked back and forth along the railing for a bit, then you looked down into the black and glassy water of the ocean. In it you could faintly see your reflection looking back up at you from the water. You crouch down as you stare at yourself.
Sighing, you say, “Look at you. You’re miserable.”
Of course, you’re miserable. You imagine your reflection saying to you. This place fucking sucks.
“Well… I don’t know. That may be too harsh of a thing to say.”
It’s true though!
You shake your head at yourself, then you stand back up and go back to walking back and forth on the wooden railing.
Do you have any plans at all to get yourself out of here? Once we’re on land you should make a break for it.
“And go where exactly and do what? You know nothing about this place or it’s people or culture or anything. Hell, the look those sun and moon guys gave me when I admitted to being unfamiliar with the water and boats was like I was the real alien. That alone has a lot of implications about the world.”
It doesn’t change how miserable you are.
You pause in your walking and squat back down again. “No. No it doesn’t…” You rub your tired eyes then you look down at your reflection. “I think you need to change what you’re focused on.”
What’s more important than finding a way back home? You imagine your reflection saying.
“Staying alive long enough for me to find my way back.” You stare silently at yourself, “Maybe even working to be friends with these people…”
They treat you like you’re some weirdo creature.
You stand up suddenly and throw your arms out wide in frustration at yourself and said, “Yah! Well, I am a weirdo creature. You’re just going to have to get use to the fact that what you are isn’t normal here.”
You imagine your reflection pouting at you.
You sigh to yourself. Then you go back to walking along the wooden railing.
“Look… You’re way too focused on the things that you can’t change. What do you have control over?”
…You can cut your hair… Long hair is hard to take care of and you’re not that attached to it anyways…
“Yah! Don’t need to look “presentable” here anyways.”
…Do you think they can do tattoos? You’ve always wanted an armband type tattoo…
“I’m sure they do. I saw that pig guy, Pigpatch, had a tattoo on his chest. I could ask him where he got his done.”
Maybe that fox guy, Foxy, will teach you how to play that violin thing that he plays during dinner. You’ve always wanted to learn how to play some kind of instrument. Having nothing else to do has your schedule freed up at least.
You chuckle to yourself, “Yah. That’s true… I’m going to have to start making some apologies to people.”
What!? Why? What do you have to apologize for?
“My shitty attitude for one. Chika and Freddy have been especially patient with me,” you groan out a sigh, “Even the Captains deserve a little bit of an apology too.”
…
You stop your pacing and squat down again to look at your reflection better. “Yes. I know. But you got ‘a. This is the night you make a fresh start with yourself. You’ve got to make amends with the people you’ve been actively trying to burn bridges for. You’re human. You can’t not be connected to people. You’re isolated enough as is, you can’t handle not making friends with the people around you just because they’re not human.”
You’ve never been good at interacting with people, let alone humans, to begin with.
“Well, that’s just another thing I can change and practice with, now ain’t it?”
You don’t imagine your reflection saying anything else to you and you rub your tired eyes. Feeling done with your self-reflection you grab hold of the rope ladder and stare at the sky again for a few moments. Looking out into the horizon, it was like the boat was swimming through space. You don’t know why you’re here, what force out there decided to bring you to this world, but you are glad that you get to at least enjoy the scenery and see how beautiful everything is here.

i was the anon talking about bloody sexy time with takiishi and yeah i'm (o)mega mind anon. that thought came to me randomly idk why. you know i was thinking like literally anything, nothing will stop him from fucking you. also was kind of thinking of like. free use with him orrrr like free use with umemiya and bofurin in general but i think that might be a conversation for another time. now back to takiishi and blood right. like i said, nothings stopping him. you're on your period? so what? also doesn't matter if he's fresh from a fight either, you can always wash the sheets later. maybe knife play oooo but endo's definitely more of a knife play guy than chika me thinks. like with chika, it's more so about your pleasure being from him, because of him. unless he thinks he needs to punish you then, well, maybe he will include some other things to use on you so you learn your lesson and endos just a kinky bitch so he definitely isn't above knife play. if it isn't obvious, those are the three that live in my mind the most. AH AND TSUBAKI STUFFING HIS CUM IN YOUR MOUTH WHILE HIM AND UMEMIYA ARE PUNISHING YOU FOR BEING A BRAT your thoughts make me insane thank you
Free use with Chika!!! and bloody Chika...definitely not bothered by it in the slightest especially with period sex. Trying to explain it to him is totally meaningless because 1. he's seen more blood come out of Endo's nose than this and 2. you still feel good when he's stirring your insides right? So there's no problem. Endo also wouldn't mind period sex obvs.
I love knife play with Endo. I think I was talking to Aria about it a while back and we were like...the boys writing their initials with it?? It's kinda severe for some but just like...a little on the thigh or ankle wont hurt too much?
Or just cutting your clothes off if you wanna be tamer abt it because he's got the money! He can just buy you new ones, and the way you look a little scared when he gets kinda close with the tip gives him such a high
The free use ume/bofurin is fab btw. You've got all those boys and for what? You may as well have fun with it. Boosts morale too methinks.

BNHA ocs for adoption (since I will probably never use them)
1. Name: Ichika Senko Quirk: Short-range teleport Her Quirk allows her to teleport anywhere within a 100 meter radius, as long as she has a clear view of where she wants to teleport to. She is capable of bringing people or objects with her, though it drains her energy much faster. Personality: Ichika is shy and rarely speaks, only talking when she deems it to be absolutely necessary. Because of that, she often comes off as aloof or cold to others. Adoption criteria: Must be adopted with Akari Status: Available
2. Name: Akari Senko Quirk: Time freeze Akari is able to completely stop time for a maximum of five seconds, though she gets an extreme headache if she goes longer than three seconds. She can choose not to freeze a certain person, but that limits her range to a mere two seconds. Personality: Akari is the polar opposite of her sister, being bright and outgoing, even though she is a year younger than Ichika. She is very close with her sister, and will communicate for her. Adoption criteria: Must be adopted with Ichika Status: Available
3. Name: Chika Murasakino Quirk: Bat Her Quirk gives her the abilities of a bat, including several physical feature. Because of this, Chika has a pair of large bat ears on top of her head, as well as small wings on her back. Her most useful ability is echolocation, where she can emit a high-pitched squeaking noise and understand her environment by picking up the echoes of her squeak. Like bats, however, she has extremely poor eyesight. Personality: Chika is mischievous and loves pulling pranks on her friends. Even though she has terrible eyesight, she refuses to wear glasses, instead relying on her echolocation to get around (she still often bumps into objects) Adoption criteria: N/A Status: Taken
4. Name: Akimi Jutsu Quirk: Phantom pain When Akimi makes physical contact with a person, she can inflict a burning pain where they have been injured before. The pain they feel is actually a mental state, where she forces the person’s brain to replay the pain caused by the injury, then doubles it. Her Quirk will not work if she does not make contact with bare skin, or if the person has never suffered an injury before. Personality: Perhaps due to her Quirk, Akimi has a strong fascination with how a human body processes pain. She is slightly sadistic, and much like Toga, loves seeing people bloody and injured. Adoption criteria: N/A Status: Available
5. Name: Yuki Minato Quirk: Frostbite Yuki’s skin temperature is constantly below freezing. Although she cannot make ice from her body, she can freeze any object that she touches, much like an instant-freezer. However, she overheats easily, and thus rarely goes out into the sun. Personality: Yuki is sweet and naive, though her lack of social interaction has left her a little socially stunted, and doesn’t fully know how to behave outside of her house. Adoption criteria: N/A Status: Available
6. Name: Taeko Sensai Quirk: B̶u̶t̶t̶e̶r̶f̶l̶y̶ ̶w̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ Quirkless T̶a̶e̶k̶o̶ ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶p̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶d̶e̶l̶i̶c̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶t̶e̶r̶f̶l̶y̶ ̶w̶i̶n̶g̶s̶.̶ ̶S̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶f̶l̶y̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶v̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶f̶r̶a̶g̶i̶l̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶h̶u̶r̶t̶ ̶e̶a̶s̶i̶l̶y̶.̶ Taeko does not have a Quirk. Personality: After the tragic loss of her wings, Taeko became more withdrawn and quiet, though still retaining her thoughtful personality. Her view of the world is apathetic at best, and she considers it to be incredibly cruel and unfair. However, she does care for her friends, as she does not want them to go through the same thing as she did. Adoption criteria: Taeko has clinical depression, and must be taken in by someone who will be able to write her character correctly, and not just describe her as crying all the time. Please don’t do that Status: Available
Character icons were all made by me using picrew. Also, don’t steal the characters without asking first, that’s very rude. The status of the characters will be updated accordingly.
Anyways, idk if people will even want them, I just created them one day and decided that I have no use for them so here I am. Woo.

Kyoya's second shot
Episode eleven: Kyoya's adventures in hate!
Tw: self harm, self hate, starving (mentioned)
What time was it? What day was it? Kyoya couldn't answer any of those, he was sitting in the bath, there was no water. He had tears running down his face, biting his lip as he took another slash at his tight, the blade gripped tightly in his fingers. There was blood at the bottom of the bath, there was blood on his fingers, it was his own blood though, so it was all ok. It had been a while since he'd had an intrusive thought, but he'd imagined the blood as someone else's in that moment, likely Haruhi's now he thought more about it- he always finds himself exploring intrusive thoughts before pushing them away, and even then little details nag at him, begging to be rationalised, made more realistic. If Kyoya would hurt anyone it would probably be her, but he wouldn't, so he was only hurting himself tonight.

He always struggled with the cutting, though the aftermath was the best part, starting was terrifying and impulsive, and the act was just painful- though cathartic and wonderful. He wondered how long he'd spent making cuts tonight, last time he'd spent maybe an hour? He was never sure, he didn't time himself, he feared the ticking of the clock would only make him more frantic. So he sat in silence as he made the cuts; one for his leg, one for his arm, and switch sides… he was left handed, so the scars on the left arm were always more sporadic and messy, he wasn't sure how to remedy this.
Cut

He didn't really have a system, but he wanted each side to be equal, if he could focus on that instead of the fact that Tamaki knew… Tamaki knew. He'd figured out why Kyoya had the corset so tight- why Kyoya had his tie so tight, he'd asked if the starvation was on purpose too… it wasn't, but how long until Tamaki realised there were scars? How long until Kyoya broke his promise? How long until Tamaki hated him? How long until-

Kyoya let out a sigh as one cut dug slightly deeper then he'd intended, he did his best to avoid getting too hurt, he wanted the scars to heal quickly after all- what if someone found out? Fiyumi and Yuuichi always got so worried when they found recent cuts, it really wasn't fair- it was Kyoya's body wasn't it? Why should they care what he does to it? He'd say he hated them but he didn't hate them, he could never hate them, they were his siblings and he craved their affection, attention and praise, things he knew they'd give so willingly if he asked, but he could never find the words, he could never ask for anything, ever.

Kyoya wasn't one to every ask for anything, especially not help, he knew he needed help, it was obvious: he was self-harming, he was depressed, he was spiralling, he kept breaking down, he wasn't eating, he simply wasn't very happy, but he couldn't ask for help- that would be surrendering. He would have all the happiness and health he needed the day he could kiss Tamaki, the day he could hold his hand and not be worried about what Haruhi would say- because Haruhi would be disgraced and Tamaki would be his. That was all Kyoya wanted, love. Was that so wrong?

He was slowing down now, he'd been at this for a while and his arms and legs were quite bloody, he should probably stop. He gave himself one last scar on his right arm, before placing the blade down on his sink, then he slowly stood up, reaching to grab the shawer head, he took it and sat back down, rinsing all his cuts off with cold water, until most of the blood was off of himself and in the bath. He then got out of the bath, grabbing the bandages kept in the first aid kit, making sure to wrap them tight, but not so tight around his thighs because that got uncomfortable at times. He picked his book up and… oh dear, he'd gotten blood on the book. He took his finger, using the blood to at least make his sketch more realistic- he couldn't wash paper after all, that would dissolve it.
He left the bathroom, glancing at the window, oh it was nighttime, wonderful. Kyoya made his way to his bed, passing the table and pausing for a moment, there was some uneaten food there, he must have forgotten to eat dinner. He sighed, sitting down to pick at the cold pie. It wasn't enjoyable persay, but the food did make him feel better, maybe next time he'd even get to the food when it's hot. God, he couldn't believe that sort of thing was a maybe, he really was pathetic huh? He sighed, checking his clock- he had no idea where his phone was.
2:04 - Just got out of the bath, didn't bathe though, did some cutting. Ate dinner, it was pie, it was cold. Feeling a lot of hate; mostly for myself, a little bit for Haruhi too.
God, Haruhi was awful. Theoretically she'd done absolutely nothing wrong, but in truth she was awful; she'd stormed into a social ecosystem where she did not belong, took the hottest guy in school after Kyoya had called dibs- not to mention how she'd constantly berated the poor king constantly the year before, and now they were in love? Kyoya didn't fucking buy it, no sir. Tamaki was just in love with the idea of common folk, and Haruhi was a vessel to channel that through, not that Tamaki realised that- as much as Kyoya adored him, Tamaki wasn't smart enough to psychoanalyze himself.
He hated the twins too, their first instinct was to stand up for Haruhi, when she wasn't even anything like them. Hikaru was horribly crude and rude and judgmental and Kaoru just went along with whatever Hikaru or Haruhi said- not to mention they'd both laughed at him the day prior.
Honey wasn't much better, sure he acted all sweet and innocent, pretending to be caring whilst he dug his nails in, right where it hurt. He always knew what to say to get the conversation moving in just the wrong direction, and acted like he had no idea, Kyoya just hated that cutesy facade so much. Honey could display that much weakness, because he actually had strengths to back it up with, Kyoya only had weaknesses.
Mori was another one who made Kyoya's blood boil, how dare he stay so quiet, why can't he just shout how he's feeling like the other hosts? And he's so hot when he actually does stuff, he should remind people he's more than just Honey's prop more often. But he never speaks up, not in defence nor against any host, and it was awful, didn't he know they were all friends? How can he just sit there and watch? Kyoya needed someone on his side and he just sat there- Mori's a voice of reason, he could have stopped Haruhi, but he didn't. For that reason, Kyoya hates him.
But how could he say such things about his wonderful friends? He hates himself so much more. He's a horrible friend after all, absolutely terrible, he'd turn against then all if it meant he could be with Tamaki. But friends don't do that, what kind of a friend is he? He feels horrible at the very idea of hurting his friends- it's only Haruhi towards whom he feels no remorse, she brought it upon herself. She did ask if he was alright when he was so stressed, she always made sure he was alright, she did so with all the hosts… she was so caring and that made Kyoya hate her even more, because she made him look like the bad guy, she made him feel horrible for hating her, what kind of a friend does that? She should be rude, she should accept her role and let Kyoya be the good guy for once. It's so unfair, she can't be the hero for the second year in a row- let someone else have a go. But Kyoya wasn't very heroic, was he? The council sure showed the contrary- god, he hated the council, every last member.
Eclair was obvious, Kyoya hated her because she almost stole Tamaki, but also she was pretentious, older than he was by like- a year, she hated him too do the feeling was very mutual. She was a horrible, business orientated person… and so was he.
Umehito, he was the magic man. He was a coward, to let his fear of light cripple him like that, Kyoya has a fear of intimacy but you don't see him screaming anytime someone gets close. He believes in magic, which is stupid and immature, Kyoya knows magic isn't real, wishes and dreams never come true, and the only curse is the burdens you place on other people. So Kyoya hated him, it was as simple as that.
Chika was a child, Kyoya hated children. The idea of responsibility scared him especially when it was more than just numbers he was responsible, so having a child in the council was a scary thought, even if Chika is supposed to be the muscle of the group. He's unbelievably rude too, for a child he knows an awful lot of swear words, Kyoya would have a word with Honey if that didn't mean admitting to having a council. There was also the fact he saw a lot of himself in Chika; a small, younger sibling, who despises his elders for being better than him, and pushes himself to horrible extremes because of this, never factoring age into the equation, hating any ounce of fun an older sibling has whilst still being the favourite… Kyoya hated Chika because he hated himself.
Akira was exactly what his nickname implied: a bitchboy. Kyoya had always thought him quite slimy, but had decided he hated him when Akira had tried to expose Tamaki for things Tamaki could never do in a million years. Now behaving like a child and calling Kyoya slurs? That was just extra reasons to hate Akira, not to mention his general aura made Kyoya highly uncomfortable.
Seika was a bitch, plain and simple. She was Tamaki's favourite guest before she was banned, and Kyoya had hated her for a long time because of this, he hated her when she bullied Haruhi- back when Haruhi was still new, and he hated her now for being so cruel to him in the group chat. Slurs weren't fun and neither was calling anyone a whore. To be fair, Kyoya would hate her without all of that because let's face it; she's an absolute bitch with terrible hair and an even worse attitude.
And Arai… he was poor? Kyoya couldn't really think of any good reason to hate Arai, which was odd, because Kyoya hated people quite easily. He hadn't paid much attention during the online meeting, and during the first meeting he had spoken out against Kyoya's plans, so that was one reason to hate him; insubordination. He wasn't anything special but that wasn't much reason to hate him. He'd insulted Kyoya when offering help, how dare he assume Kyoya wasn't perfectly ok! He'd… he'd offered Kyoya help, and a willing ear…
Kyoya Ootori: Have you been talking to Haruhi?
He didn't know what he was doing, but at least he had an excuse to be messaging Arai at, what? Three am? He sighed and stood up, heading to bed. At least his bed cared for him, he didn't hate his bed… He was just getting in when he heard his phone buzz.
Peasant: why? Was I supposed to?
He… actually responded? What was he doing up this late? Was this a good reason to hate him?
Kyoya Ootori: Well no, but you could have been.
What are you doing up at three am anyway?
Peasant: what are *you* doing up at three am?
Oh, he had him there actually, Kyoya couldn't really think of any good excuse, so he sighed and answered the most generic and foolproof answer.
Kyoya Ootori: I couldn't sleep.
Peasant: oh wierd, me neither dude
ive just been doing homework for the past three hours
Kyoya Ootori: Oh? So you're busy at the moment then?
He couldn't tell you why he felt a pang of disappointment, maybe he was actually going to reach out for someone… maybe he wanted to talk.
Peasant: nah not really, just got done i think
why? You wanna talk?
Kyoya Ootori: Possibly, I find myself unable to fall asleep, though I don't have any homework to occupy my time.
Peasant: ohh, thoughts keeping you up?
Kyoya Ootori: It appears so.
Peasant: you can talk to me man, i dont judge
Kyoya Ootori: Could you compile a list of character flaws? I don't know you well enough to hate you.
Peasant: wh- are you trying to hate me? Why?
Kyoya Ootori: I hate every other member of the council, it's only fair.
Peasant: i mean i can see why you hate them but if you hate someone you shouldn't spend time with them bro, why are they even on your council?
Kyoya Ootori: Because they were useful, emotions cannot be involved with business.
Peasant: i mean this in the nicest possible way: youre not running a business, youre trying to take someones man
Kyoya Ootori: I saw him first, it's not my fault she doesn't respect that I liked him before she even knew he existed.
Peasant: we already went over this, you cant call dibs on a person
you should have asked him out if you really wanted him
Kyoya Ootori: And I already told you: I thought he was straight.
Peasant: then why would you call dibs on a straight dude?
Kyoya… had never considered that. Why had he called dibs? He supposed he hadn't, he just never thought he'd ever feel challenged, never thought Tamaki would ever date anyone. But when he found out Tamaki was bi it was too late…
Kyoya Ootori: Change of topic then, what homework have you been doing?
Peasant: mostly maths, i struggle with it
what have you been up to this whole time if not homework?
Kyoya Ootori: Other than eating my food, I cannot say.
Just know that it isn't anything you couldn't mention in polite company.
Peasant: ok but i think it might be
spill
im betting its either sex or self harm
hope its the first one
not cause of a weird reason or anything though
Kyoya Ootori: Well I certainly don't find myself sleeping around at all.
He'd said it, oh god he'd said it. He'd just admitted to self harm, to someone he barely knew, was this good? Was this asking for help? This was a good thing right?
Peasant: dude… self harm??
oh fuck man
are you ok??
i mean, obviously not
but like
are you safe?
Arai's immediate response was care- worry, but care. Yet he barely knew Kyoya, how could he care like that? It was… entirely alien to Kyoya.
Kyoya Ootori: I am safe, I have cleaned and bandaged everything I need to.
Peasant: so you wanna talk about it?
this is why youre here isnt it?
im here for you man
Kyoya Ootori: Unfortunately emotions are not my strong suit, and I was not aware it was possible to get this far.
He may as well be brutally honest, since he'd already opened up this far. The worst that could happen was Arai hating him.
Peasant: alright, youre very brave to reach out to anyone, even in a small way
i want you to remember that
now do you want a distraction? A solution?
maybe even a phone call?
Kyoya Ootori: I couldn't possibly trouble you for the latter, and the second opinion is already something I am in the process of figuring out, a distraction would be wonderful if you are willing to provide one.
Peasant: of course!!
i could tell a story, or walk you through some fun puzzles, or maybe something else, idk, its up to you
Kyoya Ootori: I would be fascinated to hear any stories you have to tell.

Riko always found herself entranced by Yohane.
Her midnight blue wings, her bright amethyst eyes.
A fallen among angels, but she never quite made it to Hell, forever in the cloudy paradise of Heaven.
She talked to Yohane every chance she could, her heart aching for any contact with the fallen. Every attempted touch was quickly diminished, her status, her reputation, wouldn’t allow it.
So maybe she shouldn’t talk to her anymore. She had more things to focus on; Her wife, her family, her friends. They should be put first, not a passing acquaintance.
She could feel her soft pink wings chipping, revealing bloody, maroon wings underneath. No, sin was not the answer.
She couldn’t sin.
If you sin, you can be with Her.
If she sinned, she’d be stripped of all her worth.
“Lily!” Yohane exclaimed, smiling so brightly, waving to the lone angel.
If she sinned, Chika, her whole family, would look down on her.
“Zuramaru stopped by today! She even gave me some books to pass time!” Yohane cheered, clearly happy that someone acknowledged her.
If she sinned, Chika wouldn’t have someone to talk to, to love.
Yohane was ecstatic today, Hanamaru had given her a feather that fell from a nearby bird.
If she sinned, they’d look away from her.
Yohane was cheery. She was always cheery when Hanamaru came around. Would she be that cheery if it was her instead?
If she sinned, Riko would be able to spend more time with Yohane, she’d even be able to keep her away from the bluette.
The girl who always talked to Yohane, when Riko couldn’t.
The girl who brought gifts upon gifts to Yohane, when Riko came empty handed.
The girl who Yohane would always talk about, because Riko wasn’t there.
The girl who, for once, blurred Riko’s sense of reason, replacing her gentle care, with aggressive poison.
“Yocchan.”
“What is it, Lily?”
Riko gripped her wing, painfully tearing a feather off it.
“Lily?! Why’d you go and do that?!!” Yohane panicked, plucking a feather off her own, and quickly replacing the feather that was on Riko’s wing, with her.
“I wanted to give this to you.”
Yohane looked up, fiddling with Riko’s wing, a bright red hue dusted her face.
“Wha-What?!”
Riko gently held Yohane’s wing in her own, doing what Yohane did to her wing, but with the dark maroon feather that contained chips of pink.
When she let go, Yohane looked over at her new feather, which stood out from her blue ones. She seemed entranced with it.
“A-Are you sure--”
“Yes. I am, Yocchan.”
Yohane looked up at Riko, before going on her toes and giving Riko a swift peck on the cheek.
Riko looked at her wide-eyed, her heart thumping loud sounded within her ears.
It seemed their time was up, as Yohane prepared to take flight, to go to her home, separated from everyone else’s.
Somehow, Riko’s body moved by itself, taking her hand in her own, capturing her pale cheeks in her hands and colliding their lips together.
--
Her wings felt a lot lighter.
Maybe the extra layer of feathers just weighed Riko down.
Hell was surprisingly comforting.
The devils minded their own business, and when something came up, they’d confront each other and try to gamble their way to victory. Other times, devil’s would work hard to tend to the next generation, who’d live on to support their towns.
Hell’s technology was far behind Heaven’s. Their houses traditional, and walls were thin, and that was okay.
They didn’t care if she was a highranking angel centuries ago, as long as she kept her ends of deals, and paid for her own meals.
They didn’t care if she had taken their only hope back to Heaven.
And frankly, she didn’t care either.
Her hand fit in Yohane’s, and hers fit in Riko’s.
Sometimes Hanamaru would secretly come and talk to them, sometimes she’d bring food and devices for them, she always had a knowing smile on her face.
On occasions, Riko’s boss, Dia, would come over for dinner and discuss various things with Yohane, trying to get her talent to work for her business.
No one really bothered them, they would often lay on the burnt grass and gaze at the hollow moon, sometimes wolves and various animals would join them.
And when something came up, Yohane’s eyes calmed her, telling her that everything would be okay.
And everything wasn’t okay.
Everything was so bright, so peaceful, and that was great.
