Teawolf By Night
I want to make some fandom tea blends like it's 2012, mostly because I'm allergic to coffee and I live on tea. Fanart labels, all that good stuff. Definitely do the WBN characters and maybe add Bucky and Alpine to make it a Monster Mash collection. Here's what I've got for flavor notes:
Ted: Green tea base with Meyer lemon and rose flavors. Herbal. Floral. Bright. Tastes like a sunny meadow.
Elsa: Black tea base with red berries (I'm thinking tart cherry and currant) and rose. The base flavor should punch you in the head with caffeine and dark and RED.
Jack: Now it gets hard. I had too many ideas for him. Currently I'm thinking a tiger eye (black tea with notes of chocolate and caramel) base with chestnut and either cinnamon or a cinnamon-heavy chai blend. Warmth, sweetness, and spice.
The Wolf: I decided to split my tea ideas about Jack in two. This guy gets SPICE, some kind of chai base heavy in ginger and cinnamon with maybe some dark chocolate in there too. I considered adding peppercorns, but I don't like them.
Bucky: There are two Bucky teas I already love--one is chocolate hazelnut and one is kind of apricot-y. To make mine different and because I don't think enough people go there, I'm thinking blueberry black tea as a base. Still working on the rest. Maybe lavender. I do like blueberry and lavender together in ice cream, and, well, he IS purple (urf-urf-urf...)
Alpine: Her majesty currently has a lemon and maybe vanilla rooibos base with strawberry tisane mixed in. Her blend is herbal because I'm pretty sure caffeine is bad for cats. The lemon/vanilla makes me think of a fluffy cloud, which she is, and then I needed something to signify blood.
Feel free to play in the notes.

for Hemlocke: 🍯 for a food headcanon
Half vamp Hemlocke until post HW/Void ark raids: At this point in time, Hemlocke still ate food for nourishment. He enjoyed mostly simple dishes especially if they were done much in the style of a charcuterie board - fruits, meats, cheese, beef stew, soups in general. He wasn't a fan of anything too rich or too sweet. If in a situation where there was a lot of bloodshed or the scent was strong enough, he would feel compelled to drink but fought these urges off.
Full vamp: Hemlocke usually takes a preference for tea or spirits now though he can still safely try out food for the taste. It just doesn't do anything to sustain him. His favorite would be blood currant tarts or hard candies made with blood that his friend Teagan makes.
The hunger pangs are painful for Hemlocke that he can only resist for so long before starvation turns him wild. At that point, he'll instinctively hunt for blood even of monsters, voidsent or other vampires if he finds them. Luckily, he met Arazul who helped him with making a medicine that eased these pains.
The first version was an awful bitter medicine that Hemlocke forced himself to drink and still only staved off the hunger for a time when he became too weak to fight or keep going on. The doctor's made a lot of improvements since then and mixing the new medicine with bottled blood from the Alchemist's guild has proved to help the most.
There are still times he feels tempted, but his willpower has grown over time. He's become better equipped to deal with these scenarios as they come up.
Thank you for the ask!!

Hi, Fukase anon here! Sorry, It never occurred to me that people may have a hard time coming up with things for characters they don't know a lot about. Sorry :( /gen
Anyways, I really love the clown and red theme ideas! Also, since Vocaloid is technically a music software, I was thinking some music-themed names as well! Also, as long as this isn't too specific, could you maybe do some X-themed things since there's a lot of Xs in his design?
I also like the idea of the darker, edgier themes, but I'd rather not have anything explicitly horror/slasher/demon related... as someone who kins Fukase, being associated with that stuff brings back some rough memories :( /nm
I'm sorry if I'm being too specific or picky or anything like that, and I hope everything I've said makes sense! Once again, thank you in advance :)

Scents
Extra scents on certain muses are association towards those they love. Basically anything nature related to a god. Example : Strawberries - Hermes - Both Fable & Kitty have / had crushes on Hermes sons.
Greeks
Kitty - Always smells like the ocean but tends to cover it up with chocolate perfumes. Due to this people tell she she smells like sea salt truffles. Tends to smell of damp earth after a heavy rainstorm. The other most noticeable scent on her would be strawberries until the end of the Titan war. She does smell of cherry blossoms after becoming a shrine maiden.
Fable - Hyacinthus is normal to smell on her as much as peaches, blackberries, & sandalwood. Sometimes the smell of hay will linger on her skin if she's gone back home to the farm. Strawberries & saffron is also a noticeable smell on her.
Tyler - Leather, smoke, & tobacco. If you pay enough attention you can smell cherry blossoms or a citrus like yuzu. As well as tart apples.
Quinn - Cotton candy, roses, & pomegranates. It's a sickly sweet smell that tends to make people think they're in a candy shop if they're in an enclosed space with him.
Vesper - Iris, pomegranates, and lavender. Copper and iron, many complain Vesper smelled of blood after a ritual. Vetiver, currant, and tonka beans.
Romans
Beau - French vanilla mixed with sweet pink lady apples, dash of cinnamon, mouthwatering. Dark rich coffee smothered in the darkness of leather. Roses and lavender from making wedding bouquets for his mother. A subtitle hint of hyacinthus & cypress.
Juliet - Depending on the season it changes a lot. Usually its a mixture of flowers, grass, and fruits. Commonly smelling of rose, raspberries, and lemongrass. Hyacinthus can also be noticed, more so when the flowers are on her.
Isabelle - Rich wine, likely merlot, something that won't go away. The sweetness of spun sugar & grapes. Black cherries. Its tart on the tongue when the wind blows.
Aimee - Roses, what else would the legacy of Cupid smell like? Vanilla, strawberries, and chocolate as well. Juicy red cherries, honey, and plums.

Everything You Need to Know About Edible Berries: Types, Benefits, and How to Grow Them
Edible berries are among nature's most delicious and nutritious fruits, offering a wide variety of flavors and health benefits. Whether you're enjoying them fresh, in smoothies, or as part of a dessert, berries are a versatile addition to any diet. But did you know that there’s a whole world of edible berries out there? From the familiar strawberry to the more exotic acai berry, the berry fruit list is long and diverse. In this article, we'll explore the different types of edible berries, their health benefits, and provide tips on how to grow them in your own backyard.

What Are Edible Berries?
Edible berries are small, juicy fruits that grow on plants with a variety of shapes, sizes, and flavors. These fruits are typically packed with nutrients like vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. What makes them even more appealing is their versatility — you can eat them fresh, use them in cooking or baking, or preserve them for later use. They’re often considered superfoods due to their high nutrient content and health benefits.
A Comprehensive Berry Fruit List
Here is a list of some of the most popular and delicious edible berries you can grow or buy:
Strawberries: Sweet, juicy, and widely grown around the world.
Blueberries: Packed with antioxidants, perfect for smoothies.
Raspberries: Tangy and sweet, often used in desserts or jams.
Blackberries: Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, perfect for snacking.
Goji Berries: Known for their health benefits, often found in smoothies.
Acai Berries: Popular in smoothie bowls, rich in antioxidants.
Cranberries: Tart and perfect for making sauces or juices.
Elderberries: Often used in syrups for their immune-boosting properties.
Currants: Small, tart berries often used in jams and jellies.
Mulberries: Sweet and often used in pies and desserts.
Each of these berries offers unique flavors and benefits, and they’re all easy to grow with the right conditions.
Health Benefits of Edible Berries
Berries are not just tasty; they’re packed with essential nutrients that can improve your health. Here are some of the benefits of consuming edible berries regularly:
High in Antioxidants: Berries like blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries are loaded with antioxidants, which help fight free radicals in the body, reducing inflammation and lowering the risk of chronic diseases.
Rich in Vitamin C: Strawberries and raspberries are great sources of vitamin C, which supports a healthy immune system.
Heart Health: Berries are heart-healthy, reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Studies show that eating berries may reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
High in Fiber: Berries are an excellent source of dietary fiber, which aids digestion and helps maintain a healthy weight.
Anti-aging Properties: Due to their antioxidant content, berries can help keep your skin looking youthful by protecting against UV damage and wrinkles.
How to Grow Strawberries in Your Garden
Strawberries are one of the easiest and most rewarding fruits to grow. Here’s how to get started:
Choose the Right Variety: There are several types of strawberries, including June-bearing, everbearing, and day-neutral varieties. Choose the one that suits your growing season.
Planting: Strawberries prefer well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Space them about 12 inches apart and make sure they get full sun.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Strawberries need regular watering, especially during dry spells.
Mulching: Mulch around the plants to keep the soil cool and retain moisture.
Harvesting: Strawberries are ready to harvest when they turn bright red. Pick them carefully to avoid damaging the plant.
Blueberries: The Superfood of the Berry World
Blueberries are packed with nutrients and known for their antioxidant power. Here's how to grow them:
Soil Needs: Blueberries prefer acidic soil with a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. You can amend your soil with sulfur to lower the pH if necessary.
Planting: Space blueberry plants at least 3 feet apart to allow for good air circulation. Blueberries thrive in full sun.
Watering: Blueberries require plenty of water, especially during the growing season. Ensure that the soil remains moist but not waterlogged.
Pruning: Prune dead or unproductive wood in the early spring to encourage better fruit production.
Harvesting: Blueberries are ready to pick when they turn a deep blue. Harvest them by gently pulling them off the plant.
Raspberries: Sweet, Tangy, and Easy to Grow
Raspberries are another popular berry that’s easy to grow. They can be grown in both the ground and containers. Here’s how to plant and care for them:
Planting: Plant raspberries in well-drained soil with good sunlight. Space the plants 2 feet apart.
Watering: Keep the soil moist, especially during the fruiting season. Avoid overhead watering to prevent diseases.
Pruning: Prune raspberry canes in the early spring to remove dead or weak growth. This helps the plant focus its energy on producing fruit.
Harvesting: Raspberries are ready to harvest when they turn a deep red color. Gently pull the fruit from the cane.
Blackberries: Hardy, Tasty, and Full of Antioxidants
Blackberries are known for their rich flavor and health benefits. Here's how to grow them:
Planting: Blackberries thrive in full sun and slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Space the plants about 3 feet apart.
Training: Train blackberry canes on a trellis to encourage vertical growth and keep the berries off the ground.
Watering: Water regularly, especially during the fruiting season, to keep the plants hydrated.
Harvesting: Blackberries are ready to harvest when they turn a dark purple-black color. Gently twist the berries off the plant.
Exotic Berries to Try: Acai, Goji, and More
Besides the common berries, there are some exotic varieties you might want to try:
Acai Berries: Known for their antioxidant content, acai berries are often used in smoothie bowls.
Goji Berries: These tiny, red berries are rich in vitamin C and often added to smoothies, salads, or trail mix.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Growing Berries
While growing berries can be simple, there are some common mistakes to avoid:
Overcrowding: Give your plants enough space to grow and thrive. Overcrowding leads to poor airflow and can cause disease.
Not Pruning Regularly: Pruning helps remove dead wood and encourages better fruit production.
Ignoring Soil Requirements: Different berries need different soil conditions. Make sure to research the specific needs of each variety.
Tips for Growing Berries in Containers
If you have limited space, consider growing berries in containers. Here are some tips:
Use Large Containers: Choose large, well-drained containers to give the roots plenty of space.
Choose the Right Soil: Use acidic soil for blueberries and neutral soil for raspberries or blackberries.
Water Regularly: Container plants dry out faster than ground-planted ones, so water consistently.
How to Harvest Berries at the Right Time
Timing is key when harvesting berries. Pick them when they’re fully ripe for the best flavor and nutritional value. Overripe berries may attract pests, while underripe berries may lack flavor.
Pests and Diseases: How to Protect Your Berry Plants
Common pests that affect berries include aphids, spider mites, and birds. Use natural methods like neem oil or companion planting to deter pests. Additionally, make sure to remove diseased plant parts to prevent spreading.
Preserving Your Berries: Freezing, Canning, and More
Once you’ve harvested your berries, preserve them for future use. Freeze them, make jams, or can them to enjoy all year round.
Conclusion: Why You Should Grow Edible Berries
Growing edible berries is a fun, rewarding, and health-conscious hobby. Not only do you get to enjoy fresh, delicious fruit, but you also reap the numerous health benefits these little gems offer. Whether you're growing them in your garden or trying new varieties, berries are a great way to add flavor and nutrition to your life.

FFXIV Write 2024 #14: Telling
~~
A whiff of sweetness in the air as one passes the kitchen – Cook and Olbont must be putting the finishing touches on the blood currant tart her ladyship had approved of this morning. Denisot is on hand to serve.
A creak in the stairway as one goes through a corridor – Bremmant is on his way to ensure the drawing room is ready for its occupants after dinner; coffee should be begun once dessert is brought up.
A wave of a skirt in the crack of the doorway one arrives at – Aeda is just about done replacing dinner plates with smaller ones meant for dessert, which means:
Marceaux silently glides into the dining room, gloved hands holding a decanter. He allows Aeda to move past him quietly, arms laden with empty plates and platters before he shuts the door.
“Dessert will be ready momentarily, ma’am, milord,” he says in his modulated baritone, moving around to the head of the table where he refills Remont’s glass of wine. The young man gives him a quiet "thank you", to which Marceaux bows slightly.
When the butler comes round to refill the Dowager’s glass, she nods in acknowledgement. Yet she says nothing to him, speaking to her son instead. “Blood currant tart, my dear boy – we may as well enjoy it while the summer lasts. Mr Ofanleitasyn says it will be the last of the season.”
A smile crosses Remont’s face, and it is genuine. “And here I thought you detested blood currants.”
“Nonsense. ‘Tis merely detestable when not prepared properly,” replies his mother with evident authority (as she always does).
Marceaux sets the decanter on the sideboard, taking up his position beside it. He keeps an eye on the chronometer on the wall, and half an ear on the conversation, just in case instructions need to be changed for the morrow. (Lord Remont usually wouldn't require dinner on the fifth nights of the week, spending it outside before returning late. A simple supper however is kept for him, with nocturnal Yisa being on hand to serve his lordship.)
There is no need for alterations this time, judging from the conversation his masters are having. He does note however – with silent pleasure – that Lord Remont has been making an effort to spend at least a few more nights at home ever since the viscount left.
His ears pick up the subtle click clack of polished shoes across the floor outside. Wordlessly, he takes a few steps to open the door; sure enough, Denisot stands before him, holding a tray bearing a good-sized tart and a serving knife.
“Just a touch too slow, Mr Gouvaire,” he murmurs. “Is your ankle giving you trouble still?”
A hint of a smile flickers on Denisot’s face. He replies, in an equally quiet tone, “Overdid it with the cleaning this afternoon, sir. Apologies. I’ll rest it properly tonight.”
Marceaux gives his subordinate a meaningful look – ‘you’d better’, it says – and nods. Denisot walks on in, leaving the butler to close the door again. He keeps watch on the process of serving, even if it’s just two of the family here and Denisot could do this blindfolded and asleep.
Good butlers, after all, must observe closely so they don’t need telling.
-
end.

Querciabella 2020 Chianti Classico

Proper barnyard intro, followed by black cherry, currants, violets, earth and soft wood tones. Medium-full, spicy and firm-ish on the palate, with darker core of ripe fruit, marked acidity and dusty tannins. Everything in place, just somewhat holding back and chalky in texture. Have enough Querciabella straight Chianti Classico under my belt to tell this is another ugly duckling. — ★★★½
Appellation: Chianti Classico Region: Chianti, Toscana, Italy Subzone: Greve, Lamole, Radda and Gaiole Cépage: 100% Sangiovese Abv: 14% Production: 170,000 Élevage: 12 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux (10% new), 3 months in bottle Distributor: Asiaeuro
Critic Reviews:
The 2020 Chianti Classico is bright, fresh and nicely lifted, with terrific precision and energy lending quite a bit of character. Bright red Sangiovese fruit, spice and a touch of blood orange are front and center. Even so, the 2020 appears to still be recovering from its bottling. That should not be an issue in another 6-12 months' time. This is the first vintage that includes fruit from parcel in Greve's Lamole district. Drink: 2024-2032. Antonio Galloni (Vinous, 06/2022) 92
The 2020 Chianti Classico is impressive and pure, with ripe black cherry, a hint of blue fruit, violets, and sweet herbs. It is medium to full-bodied, with supple fruit throughout, fine grained tannins, and a polished feel. It displays fresh acidity without any harsh edges, but it is mouthwatering and compels returning for more. This beautiful wine from Querciabella is drinking well now, and I imagine will continue to improve over the coming decade or more. Audrey Frick (Jeb Dunnuck, 01/2023) 93
Shows black cherry and plum fruit accented by orange peel, earth and spices. Delivers dusty tannins, which lend support as this firms up on the finish. Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator, 05/2023) 88
Lustrous mid ruby. Perfumed and concentrated on the nose and finely balanced on the palate. Lots of polished tannins and vibrant red fruit. Suave and long. Walter Speller (Jancis Robinson, 02/2023) 17.5
With an annual production of approximately 150,000 bottles, this is Querciabella’s calling card – and an impressive one at that. It also gives an incisive panoramic shot of the Chianti Classico region as it's a blend of estate vineyards in three different subzones. Bright and fresh, the 2020 annata emerges energetically out of the glass with exuberant and pure red cherry and currants. It gains intrigue with stylish touches of mocha, tarragon and truffles. It's full and vigorous yet light on its feet thanks to radiant acidity, while well-formed tannins lend just the right amount of chew. As suave as it is characterful. Michaela Morris (Decanter, 02/2023) 92
A delightfully tart nose is full of Rainier cherries and dried cranberries, with undertones of minerality and herbaceousness. The palate runs with the cherries and adds oranges to the mix, with a latent heat and a thrilling amount of acidity elevating a minty freshness through the finish. Danielle Callegari (Wine Enthusiast, 11/2023) 92

Request: FFXIV Blood Currant Tarts
I waffled for waaaaaay too long on @salroase2 ‘s request, because I didn’t want to settle for a rolandberry cream cheese spread but fresh red currant berries are REALLY hard to come across. But then I looked closer at the recipe and realized the gelatin was likely to create jam or jelly from the currants and I felt stupid - mostly because currant jelly is so much easier to find. Once that was resolved I was able to get my hands on some and OFF WE WENT.
These particular tarts are something I like to call pull-apart tarts. Essentially, you bake the circles of puff pastry in the oven, allowing them to puff up tall. Then, you split the puffed bread into segments, resulting in a bunch of bite-size puff tarts.
Let’s go!

~Ingredients~
2 sheets Puff Pastry
1 jar Red Currant jam or jelly (~12 oz.)
1 Egg, beaten
(Optional) Powdered Sugar or Whipped Cream, for topping
Prep Time: <10 min. | Total Bake Time: ~ 30 min.
Makes: ~24
~Instructions~
Step 1.) Preheat the oven to 400°F. Beat the egg in a bowl and set aside.
Step 2.) Use a circular cookie cutter to cut the puff pastry into circles (I used a cookie cutter approx. 2.5-3″ in diameter.) Score the sides of the circles with a fork for maximum puffiness, if desired. Brush the tops of the circles with beaten egg and bake for about 15 - 20 min. or until the tops are a light to medium brown.
Step 3.) Allow the circles to cool for a couple of minutes, then comes the fun part! Each of the circles should have puffed up considerably, and should have some clear segmentation in the puffs. Target these segments and pull them apart horizontally so you have a bunch of thinner disks (I think the most segments I got out of a single circle was 4 segments). Don’t try to pull apart the puffs if they don’t look like they’ll give, I destroyed a few that way (they were delicious by themselves). When you’re done, you should have an ample number of puff disks like pictured below. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any remaining batches of puff pastry.

Step 4.) Once the puff pastry has cooled a bit more, fill in the circles with spoonfuls of red currant jelly/jam. Don’t be surprised if you use up the entire jar. Top with powdered sugar or whipped cream if desired, and enjoy!
~Results~

Sweet, simple, delicious, and containing a very satisfying crunch! The roommates where chomping at the bit for me to photograph them so they could devour them all!

it’s the edelgard-themed cocktail menu!
so i’ve gotten really into making cocktails, mainly due to living directly above a grocery store with a very well-stocked liquor section, and last year i went and made up a whole bunch of cocktails that reminded me of edelgard von fireemblem, the video game character who now lives rent-free in my brain as a result of me writing two million words of fanfiction about her over the past three years
recipes under the readmore:
Crimson Flower
1 oz Davide campari milano
1 oz Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth
3 oz Iamarca Prosecco sparkling wine
Splash of fresh-squeezed blood orange juice
A Negroni sbagliato, or “broken Negroni,” stirred and poured into a champagne flute or over ice in a highball glass and garnished with a blood orange wheel. The addition of sparkling wine in place of the traditional Negroni’s gin brings out a delicate and effervescent sweetness from within the bitter and bold notes of campari and sweet vermouth, balanced with a splash of fresh-squeezed and twice-strained blood orange juice.
Crest of Flames
0.75 oz Roku Japanese gin
0.75 oz Hendrick’s Lunar gin
1 oz Dolin dry vermouth
0.5 oz Martini & Rossi vermouth bianco
0.5 oz Italicus bergamot liqueur
A white Negroni with unique botanical flourishes, stirred and poured over ice into a lowball glass and garnished with a lemon peel. Boasts a crystal-clear color and a dry, rich flavor that combines sharp, striking notes of two unique gins for a strong, challenging taste.
Lady Hresvelg
1 oz G&J Greenall’s wild berry gin
0.5 oz Italicus bergamot liqueur
0.25 oz Rothman & Winter crème de violette
Pinch of fine sea salt
Lemon-lime soda to top
A gin cocktail with fragrant, tart berry and floral notes and a delicate lavender shade. Pour gin, liqueur, and crème de violette into a shaker together with ice, add a small pinch of salt, stir, and strain into a martini glass, then top with soda. Garnish with fresh raspberry, if desired.
Black Eagle
1.5 oz Kraken black spiced rum
1 oz Godiva dark chocolate liqueur
0.5 oz pomegranate juice, or to taste
2-3 maraschino cherries
A dessert martini with a wine-dark coloration and a smooth, sweet taste tempered by the bitterness of dark chocolate and acidity of pomegranate. Shaken or stirred and poured into a martini glass with a garnish of maraschino cherries. Add more pomegranate juice for a sweeter taste.
Bergamot Gin Sour
1 oz Hendrick’s gin
0.5 oz Italicus bergamot liqueur
0.75 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 oz Earl Grey simple syrup
1 egg white
A richly flavored dessert gin sour, with Earl Grey simple syrup providing a refreshing taste and egg white providing a creamy texture. Dry shake gin, lemon juice, syrup, and egg white for about 10-15 seconds, then add ice and shake until cold. Poor into a coupe or martini glass rimmed with sugar.
Flame Emperor
2 oz Fireball cinnamon whiskey
0.25 oz Wollersheim Distillery Old Fashioned syrup
2-3 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters
Pomegranate 7-Up to top
2-3 Woodford Reserve bourbon cherries
A twisted, blasphemous hybrid of a bourbon Old Fashioned and a brandy Old Fashioned. Muddle cinnamon whiskey, Old Fashioned syrup, and bitters with bourbon cherries, shake with ice until chilled, pour over ice into a lowball glass, and top with soda. Garnish with a cherry and orange wedge. The cinnamon whiskey’s sweetness pairs with the characteristic herbs and spices of Angostura bitters to evoke the Old Fashioned while producing a distinctive burn.
Enbarr 1175
1 oz Hendrick’s gin
0.5 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
0.5 oz Earl Grey simple syrup
0.5 oz Mathilde Liqueur black currant liqueur
3 oz Iamarca Prosecco sparkling wine
An effervescent brunch cocktail with a boozier kick to it than a traditional mimosa. Add gin, lemon juice, and Earl Grey simple syrup to a shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled, then strain into a champagne flute. Top with champagne, stir gently, and garnish with a lemon twist.
Lady Hresvelg & Tonic
1 oz G&J Greenall’s wild berry gin
0.25 oz Rothman & Winter crème de violette
Juice from one lemon wedge
Tonic water to top
A classic gin and tonic with a splash of floral fragrance and a striking lavender color. Pour gin and crème de violette into a glass over ice, squeeze one lemon wedge, stir, and top with your preferred tonic water.
Adrestian Old Fashioned
2 oz Evan Williams Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey
0.5 oz Earl Grey simple syrup
Dash of Angostura aromatic bitters
Dash of Fee Brothers West Indian orange bitters
A classic Old Fashioned tinged with the distinctive citrus and floral notes of Earl Grey tea. Pour simple syrup, bitters, and bourbon together in an Old Fashioned glass, add ice, and stir well. For a stronger Earl Grey taste, steep one tablespoon of tea leaves per one cup of bourbon overnight and use it in the cocktail.
Perfect Teatime
1 oz Seagrams extra dry gin
0.5 oz honey vanilla simple syrup
0.5 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 dashes of Fee Brothers West Indian orange bitters
1 cup Earl Grey tea
A sharp, heady twist on a soothing cup of bergamot tea that goes down smooth. Mix gin, liqueur, syrup, and lemon juice into 10-12 oz of boiling water with one Earl Grey teabag. Add bitters. Let steep for three minutes before removing the bag. Serve and drink hot.
How to make Earl Grey simple syrup
Bring 4 oz water and 0.5 cup sugar to a boil in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and add 2 tbsp Earl Grey tea leaves, 3 dashes of orange bitters, and the peel of 1 lemon. Let steep for 30 minutes and strain into a bottle. Keep refrigerated.
How to make honey vanilla simple syrup
Bring 4 oz water and 0.5 cup sugar to a boil in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and add 1 tbsp vanilla extract and 1 tbsp honey. Let steep for 30 minutes and strain into a bottle. Keep refrigerated.
