Artists commentary (and a gay little surprise) under the cut

Alt colors (bg and earring), okay so first off, I applied some aspects from my Phoenix!Phoenix AU, including the design of the peacock feather featuring a magatama. Also the scorch marks on her chest is a reference to the AU, where when Phoenix is injured and their blood is ignited (either through death or cheating death) it leaves behind dark marks for a while. Also, I thought it looked cool.

I just stole the sprite and played with it to match up my design for fem!Edgeworth, I just thought she looked cute sitting on her wife’s shoulder. Also since this is a merging of AUs, Edgeworth gets little fangs bc she’s a little vampire. She is drinking blood out of her tea cup.

I did not try very hard but I am proud of the hair looking pretty seamless all things considered. Also there’s lipstick and bloodstains on the cup. I thought about that.

Uhhh clothing design, the wings are obvious but the cape/sleeves are Trucy and Lamiroir inspired. Sorry Thalassa, Trucy’s new mom gets your whole astrology aesthetic now. Also I like to give the Wrights stars as their celestial theme to go with Apollo’s sun and Athena’s moon.

She wears her magatama like a Fey, which will feel much more important when I get her fic out… it’s almost 20k words long and I still have several scenes to go through.

Also fun fact, I tried to do the scale/feather pattern by hand and got halfway through before remembering that I was using a simple grid pattern and could easily just copy the layers and move them around instead. So uh… whoops.

This was the first time I used my sketching pencil for a majority of the lineart and I think it’s pretty cool, though it’s not like anyone can tell lol.

Decided to make a labled Cybertronian as an easy reference lol. based on "The Vitruvian Man" illustraton by Da Vinci.

Bullet point list of various body parts / references from an older post + what I've picked up from reading fic under the cut, which is archived here.

Spark Chamber - inside of chest, houses the Spark - the Heart/Soul of a Cybertronian

Sparkling - a newly formed or newly born / young Cybertronian, usually used for infants or unborn sparklings, which are "sparked off" usually two Cybertronians merging their Sparks during interface.

New Sparklings can be carried around inside the Spark Chamber until more developed, built a body, OR are carried in a more biological "gestation chamber" where they are born in a more biological way, either live birth or in mechanical eggs.

Cold Construction - Frame is pre-built and then charged with a Spark to create new life. Used to build "disposables" and low-caste members for the workforce.

Forged - A Spark is harvested from the Allspark (?) on Cybertron and placed in Sentio Metallico / a protoform, where it then shapes its own form and grows from there. Usually high-caste, and look down on ColdCons :/

Protoform - baby sparklings, OR base form of a Cybertronian, underneath all the armour and transformations

Mesh - base form of a Cybertronian, underneath all the armour and transformations; skin.

Root Mode - default mode; protoform.

Sentio Metallico - living metal. Cybertronian base composition

Alt Mode - vehicular/disguise mode.

Robot Mode - non-vehicular mode

Sparkmate - soulmate (after sparkbonding during interface, which is either casual and par for the course, or a much more intimate choice made rarely) or, generally, a spouse.

Conjunx - Spouse or partner

Amica - Best friend or platonic partner

Energy Signature - A lifesign unique to each Cybertronian, used to monitor health; if it vanishes from sensors, they are dead, or in a different dimension (rare lol)

Mech - general term for a singular or group of Cybertronians

adam from the weird tmc dream i had last night. more doodles and also an explanation under the cut

^these were my notes from last night LMAO. i was really tired. i remembered more as i was drawing. basically i was adam and i went into the vol 2 basement(?) and there was a tv (i think) and it was showing me advertisements for microwave dinners (one of them was fettuccine alfredo w peas) and some sort of news segment about a resident evil fan convention (????). can't remember what the 'evil merchant' was about??? anyways. kept walking and it became a brutalist concrete hallway with a glass ceiling and there was a fucked up creature behind the glass

^looked like that. its eyes kept following me. at some point the ceiling was concrete again but it was bleeding?? and then my body started splintering apart and it was basically catalyst but worse

^me (as adam) looking up at the ceiling as i became a creature. blood was dripping down the walls etc. some notes abt what i looked like after i transformed (some of this wasn't actually in the dream but i made shit up based on what my body felt like):

-iris/pupils have stopped bleeding, are now 'cracking' outwards (no clue what my eyes looked like. but there was a LOT of blood/'blood' on my face)

-mouth and teeth fused together, can't open (i couldn't open my mouth in the dream)

-two new mouths run down face from eyes. both have tongues and are fully functional (i remember having the vertical mouths w the tongues. super weird feeling. i licked my eye on accident it was gross)

-mouths on neck are cosmetic, not functional (i added them for fun. in the dream they were just holes i think)

-left shoulder got shifted around so much that it just sticks up like that. arm is broken and can't move much. (very stiff movement, just kind of hung there)

-just has a hole in the middle of chest. ribs are mostly normal but some of them can move/curl up like centipede legs. some ribs were sticking out of my back also (i think. felt like it at least)

-right arm got stretched out and fused to side of body, had to use it to walk (in the dream the hand itself was normal i just wanted to draw a weird hand. the arm rest of the arm was still weird tho)

-left leg was relatively normal, just a bit stretched out and broken.

-right leg was. long. it kept getting longer as i tried to limp away, until i stopped and then it stayed that length. i walked on the 'knee' and dragged the rest of it behind me

-also my bones were just. broken. just stabbing myself accidentally bc they stuck out weird and were VERY sharp. moving sucked

and thats all i remember. i know there was SOMETHING going on like. a plot or whatever but i forgot it :( like there was a REASON there was a beast in the ceiling but i cant remember WHY. oh well i got a sick alt adam design out of it lol. sort of. want to make an au based off of this ngl LMAO
