You know, I was just watching the new season premiere of the Bachelorette, and explaining to my husband how the guy on the chopping block being interviewed couldn’t be going home bc if he was… production wouldn’t have had time to interview him for his ITM after…. And it made me miss the fic!!

Sneaky Snippet: Spitting Image

The Gringotts Sperm Bank logo caught Lily’s eye immediately as she sorted through her mail and her heart sank. What reason would they have to get in touch now? She’d read the horror stories obviously, sperm donors who had lied about their history, and the next thing you know they’ve got children with health issues up and down the country. But her boy was healthy, Harry was perfect. Wasn’t he? Maybe they just wanted her to write some little success anecdote for their website or something. There was no need to get herself so wound up and jump to the immediate worst-case scenario. 

She tore the letter open and skimmed it, eyes bulging in surprise as she did so. Harry’s biological father had made contact with the clinic and was interested in getting to know any resulting children. Her heart was in her throat. Response and contact were completely at her discretion.

Lily looked at her little son, sitting on his playmat pushing around his wooden tractor. She’d often wondered about the other person responsible for 50% of his biological make-up. Harry would have the option to find his dad if he wanted once he turned eighteen. But to her, his dad had only ever been a number and a few lines of text on a piece of paper. Donor #2537:  dark hair, hazel eyes, medical student. That was all she knew. And every medical professional she’d met since she’d scrutinised with burning curiosity.

Word game for Call It What You Want: nervous

Basically I just can't wait for the meet-the-Potters scenes 🤭 So fingers crossed that this word is associated!

@blondelunaa, it seems that the Meet-the-Potters-scene is highly anticipated, which - admittedly - makes me feel slightly nervous, because I don't want people to feel underwhelmed or disappointed, so I'll edit that as well as I can, probably. She remembered the first time she had met them, how terribly nervous she had been, how she – not due to motion or morning sickness – had felt as if she might throw up on the drive over, especially considering all that had been revealed of their son – quite literally and graphically so – because of her. James had been awfully pragmatic about it, of course, saying that it was – in all honesty – nothing either of his parents had never seen before.

so... best laid plans & all.... chapter 15 is here somewhat unplanned || the beginning

I'd uploaded some chapter(s) because in my head the ending to this story is an easy told thing, turns out it needed a bit more words in reality. My plan was to get it all ready and then post, which is ironically the only option that nobody picked on the poll I made ;-) but... I wanted the written bits out of the way so I could get on with the rest of the end of the end that will come... (yep - It's me, hi, I'm the problem it's me), and then the save as draft button swapped places with the post button. (it did) So this is again not the end ( @blondelunaa I feel sorry, bc you clearly are better at this than me, sometimes I read your comments and I feel you have read what is to come before I write it ;-) I hope you won't mind too much.

She looked at him and sighed, he felt as if he was ten years old again and had just tried to hide a particularly unfair poor grade from her. “And in the three weeks you were here, you still haven’t told me exactly what happened. You haven’t so much as breathed one word about this person who was kind enough to help you that day,” she said. Thank you for tagging me, @uncertainwallflower and @annabtg (who tagged me on my main blog @pennyrigby) 💜

1. Are you named after anyone?

No, my mum just loves greek mythology and liked the name Leda. It's a bit of a pain in the ass when I meet someone new and a) they never get my name right and b) they don't know the myth behind it. (Side note: I pronounce it 'Leh-dah rather than 'Lee-da')

2. When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday, watching a tv show.

3. Do you have kids?

No.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Absolutely.

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Their voice.

6. What's your eye colour?

Brown.

7. Scary movies or happy ending?

Neither? I love thrillers but I wouldn't call them scary per se. I do enjoy a well made horror, like Hereditary, Midsommar, Us, Get Out, but mainly because they have great perfomances and great plots. Happy endings in movie are fine as long as they make sense.

8. Any special talents?

I play a bit of piano (self taught) but honestly, all I can do is learn and play the chords to songs I like. I sing too, but again, not well. I speak four languages and I'm trying to learn more, but I don't think of this as a talent.

9. Where were you born?

Italy.

10. What are your hobbies?

You know, the usual. Reading (mostly fics lately), writing (when inspiration strikes), listening to music and watching movies. As I said, I play the piano and sing too but only when I have the time which is almost never.

11. Do you have any pets?

A dog and a turtle.

12. What sports do you play/have you played?

I tried a few things as a kid (ballet, swimming, maybe volleyball?) but I've never felt any joy playing them, so I quit very soon. I don't think I'll ever be into sports.

13. How tall are you?

1,66 m which is, what? 5'4 or 5'5?

14. Favourite subject at school?

Probably English, or languages in general.

15. Dream job?

Never had one, still don't have one and I think that's okay. Honestly, i just want to get paid and have enough time to dedicate to my friends and my hobbies.
