Summary: Jisung joins you for some alone time in the bathroom and afterwards you have an interesting conversation with him and Chan.
*****************************
Two hours into dance practice, you get bored. You’ve already scrolled through all your social media accounts, massaged Felix’ back and Jeongin’s cramping calf, and went on a coffee run for everyone. It was a miracle to you how the guys were still going, dancing with almost as much energy as when they started.
With a sigh you throw your phone on the couch cushion next to you and stand up to throw away your empty coffee cup. Changbin notices you in the mirror and winks at you before effortlessly falling into the dance routine they’re doing. For a moment you watch them again, the way their bodies move to the beat like they’re made for it. When the guys dance it’s almost impossible to look away, but after two hours it’s a little easier.
‘Y/N?’ Felix calls out to you over the music when you’re about to slip out of the room to head to the bathroom. Everyone else keeps dancing, but the blonde moves away from the group and towards you with a frown on his face. ‘You okay?’
You smile at him. ‘I’m perfect Lix, I’m just going to the bathroom.’
The frown disappears from his beautiful face immediately and he nods, already walking backwards to the others again. ‘You know where it is, right?’
You give him a thumbs up and quickly slip out of the room before anyone else can stop you, your bladder already screaming in protest. Maybe that big cup of iced coffee had been a mistake. The bathroom is quiet and after relieving yourself and washing your hands, you stay a little longer, just leaning against the sink with your eyes closed. You always like a quiet moment every now and then to recharge.
A knock on the door makes you startle and when you look down at your watch, your eyes widen. You’ve been gone for a little over twenty minutes already.
‘Y/N? Everything okay?’ Jisung calls out, slowly opening the door a little.
You rush to the door to open it completely, revealing Jisung with a concerned frown on his face. There’s a towel around his neck and his face is still flushed from dancing.
‘I’m good, just enjoying the quiet for a bit,’ you explain, smiling up at him.
‘Can I join?’ he asks, taking a step forward already as if he doesn’t think you’ll say no. Which you won’t.
‘Sure, but shouldn’t we head back?’ you reply, turning your back to the door to face Jisung.
‘I’ll text them,’ he says, already typing on his phone.
You shrug and walk back to the sink, lifting yourself up to sit on the counter this time. Maybe he wants to talk about something or just enjoy some quiet himself, both are fine with you.
When Jisung looks up from his phone and sees you sitting on the counter, he blinks, his eyes lingering on your exposed legs that are dangling in the air, swinging back and forth. He puts his phone away and steps forward until his stomach touches your knees.
‘Uhm, hi?’ you laugh quietly, a bit startled at his sudden closeness.
‘Hey,’ he grins, placing his hands on the sink at either side of your thighs, caging you in between his strong arms. ‘Tell me if it’s too much, yeah?’
You blink rapidly, your heartbeat rising and you suddenly feel hot all over.
‘If what’s too much?’ you ask, your voice sounds strange to your own ears.
‘Anything. If I'm too close, if I make you uncomfortable, if I touch you somewhere you don’t want me to. Just say the word and I’m backing off, okay?’ Jising says. ‘The little show Felix and Jinnie put up with you in the studio earlier made me a little jealous.’
‘Jealous?’ you feel like an idiot for repeating his words back at him, but your brain feels hazy from his close proximity, the scent of his cologne and sweat is intoxicating somehow.
Jisung brings one of his hands up to trial his fingers over the red and purple bruises Felix left on your throat.
‘Mhm,’ he hums. ‘Maybe it’s wrong of me, but I can’t help it.’
You swallow, nervous butterflies erupt in your stomach as he sets his hands back down and leans in even closer, his breath fanning your lips.
‘Would it help if I let you introduce me to something new?’ you whisper and you have no idea where that bold question just came from. ‘I mean, would that make you less jealous?’
Jisung grins and leans forward to press a soft kiss on your lips. ‘That would help me very much, baby.’
‘Okay,’ you nod. ‘But you do know there’s nothing to be jealous of right?’
Jisung leans his forehead against yours. ‘I know and I know we said that it wouldn’t get weird between us, which it won’t, I promise, but we do all want to teach you.’
‘Which you will,’ you say. ‘Or I wouldn’t have agreed.’
‘I know,’ Jisung repeats with a laugh. ‘It’s just silly, it’s probably our hormones or something.’
You giggle and wrap your arms around his neck. ‘I can’t say I know much about male hormones, but okay sure.’
Jisung nuzzles his nose against yours before kissing you. He’s the fourth of the guys to kiss you and it amazes you how all of them kiss differently, it’s interesting really and it fits each of them so well. Jisung kisses you softly, slowly, like he’s not in a hurry to be anywhere while his hands stroke your sides.
Your fingers tangle in his soft hair, remembering what Chan had said the other day about most guys enjoying it when you pulled their hair in the heat of the moment. At first you just play with the strands at the back of his neck, focussing on the way his mouth moves over yours, but when he finally flicks his tongue over your bottom lip, you pull.
Jisung doesn’t disappoint and moans into your mouth, his fingers digging into your side. The sound sets your whole body on fire and without thinking you wrap your legs around his waist, to pull him closer. You gasp when the movement connects your core with his stomach, creating a delicious friction you’ve never felt before. Tingles spread all over your body and feeling dizzy you pull back from the kiss, panting loudly against Jisung’s mouth.
‘Damn,’ he mutters, moving his hands to your bare thighs around his waist. ‘I’m not sure if you even need us to teach you, you’re a natural.’
You look down at where your body is pressed up against Jisung and the sight makes even more heat pool in your belly, it feels funny. Your skirt has ridden up even further on your thighs, almost showing off your panties.
Jisung follows your gaze and groans, his fingers squeezing your thighs. ‘Look at that, so beautiful wrapped around me like that.’
‘Yeah?’ you whisper, lifting your head to look him in the eyes again.
‘Oh yes,’ Jisung sighs. ‘It will be even better when you’re naked, but that’s something for the future, hm?’
You nod, grateful for his understanding. So far all of the guys have been so good to you, never crossing a line you weren’t ready to cross yet.
‘Has anyone touched you yet?’ he asks, leaning in to press his lips against your jaw.
Your heart skips a beat at his question or maybe it’s because of his mouth on your skin, or both, you don’t really know nor care.
‘N-no, it’s been just kissing so far,’ you stammer and nervously lick your lips.
‘Okay, so just first base so far, kissing and receiving hickeys,’ Jisungs leans back a little to look at you. ‘How do you feel about second base?’
Your breath hitches and you accidentally pull on Jisungs hair that’s still wrapped around your fingers.
‘Ungh,’ a strange noise leaves Jisung’s mouth and he closes his eyes for a moment, swallowing, his Adam's apple moving visibly.
‘Sorry,’ you hurriedly untangle your fingers from his hair and place them on his chest instead.
Jisung shakes his head and opens his eyes again. ‘It’s okay,’ he smiles. ‘What was I saying again?’
You giggle and pluck an invisible piece of lint from his shirt, your cheeks heating up. ‘Something about second base?’
One of Jisung’s hands leaves your thigh to hold your chin between his thumb and forefinger, gently pinching as he forces you to look him in the eye.
‘Do you think you’re okay with that? It’s okay if you’re not, you know, I’ll happily just kiss you until we run out of breath,’ he grins.
You can’t help but giggle again and you nervously shift against him at the thought of him touching you in more ways than he already has. The movement makes that same delicious friction as before as your core moves against his stomach. Your eyes widen at the feeling and Jisung bites his lip, clearly not unaffected by it as well.
‘I’m okay with it,’ you whisper, clutching onto his shirt.
‘Mhm, good,’ Jisung hums, placing his hand back on your thigh and leaning forward to latch his lips onto your collarbone while his fingers slowly inch up until they disappear under the fabric of your skirt.
Your entire skin breaks out in goosebumps and Jisung chuckles, kissing his way to your neck, licking and nibbling as he goes. He even leaves a few marks of his own between the bruises Felix already gave you.
‘As much as I want to touch you right here,’ Jisung whispers against your jaw, his fingertips nearly grazing your panties. ‘Let’s not move too fast shall we.’
A small part of you is disappointed and wants to beg him to do just that, to touch you where your body seems to hum with heat, but you appreciate him for trying to take it slow with you.
‘Okay,’ you breathe, tilting your head to give him more access to your neck.
Jisung kisses a trail of open mouthed kisses on your neck all the way up to your earlobe, gently biting down on it with his teeth.
You gasp and your body jolts, pushing you against him once more. Your eyes nearly roll back in your head at the feeling and it takes everything in you not to buck your hips forward to feel that again and again.
‘So sensitive,’ Jisung smiles. ‘I wonder if you’re like that here as well.’
You’re just about to ask where he means when his fingers slide under the hem of your shirt, gliding upwards over your warm and naked skin. You shiver and he kisses you again, licking into your mouth with no hesitation.
His hands move from your belly to your back first, exploring every inch before he caresses your sides and slowly moves up until his thumbs brush against the underside of your breasts. His fingers are gone before you can even register it and he moves his hands to your back again, this time playing with the clasp of your bra.
‘You can take it off,’ you say against his mouth, getting impatient by his teasing.
Jisung chuckles against your lips, nipping your bottom lip at the same time as he easily opens the clasp, freeing your breasts. You make quick work of getting the straps off your arms and dropping the bra on the floor as you pull Jisung close again by wrapping your arms around his neck.
His fingers tease the underside of your breasts again and you whine in the back of your throat, wanting him to actually touch you. Another chuckle vibrates against your lips, but then he finally cups your breasts in his hand, his thumbs flicking your nipples. You arch your back at the surprisingly good feeling and gasp against his mouth. He does it again and again, until you’re shivering in his arms.
‘I knew you’d like it,’ Jisung whispers when he pulls away from your lips, to once more kiss down your neck. ‘Can I take your shirt off?’
You release Jisung’s neck and grab the hem of your shirt yourself to pull it over your head in one swift movement, throwing it on the floor next to your bra. The cool air feels nice against your bare chest and you only have a moment to realize what you’ve just done before Jisung lets out a loud laugh, his eyes gazing over your exposed skin.
‘I love this side of you, baby,’ he says, watching his own fingers as they glide over your breasts with a glint in his eyes that you can’t quite describe. ‘So responsive and eager.’
‘It appears lust makes me bold,’ you whisper, more to yourself than to Jisung.
He laughs again and you smile at the sound. You like his laugh. Always have, but lately he has been doing it more often and it always makes you happy to hear it.
‘Well, since you’re feeling bold, is there anything on your mind you want to share with me right now?’ Jisung grins, tilting his head in a teasing way.
You think about it for a moment. A small part of you wants to ask him to do more than just touch just breasts and kiss you, but you’re not sure if you’re really that bold.
‘I want you to take off your shirt,’ you say instead, tugging at the fabric a little. ‘It’s only fair.’
Jisung doesn’t waste any time, grabbing onto the back of his shirt and pulling it over his head. You’ve never seen him shirtless before and the sight of his bare muscled chest, his abs and the tattoos, nearly make you choke on your own spit.
‘Holy shit,’ you mutter, reaching out to touch him. ‘You’ve been hiding this all along Sungie?’
You knew he had broad shoulders and nice muscled arms, that much he showed often by wearing a tank top, but this is new. He’s nearly as ripped as Chan.
‘I’ve been working out a lot more recently,’ Jisung shrugs, a blush covering his cheeks.
‘I can tell,’ you laugh, your fingers gliding over his abs. ‘You look incredible.’
‘Says you,’ Jisung snorts, cupping your breast again. ‘I’d much rather focus on that.’
He puts his money where his mouth is and without any warning he leans forward and wraps his lips around your nipple. His warm tongue teases the hard and sensitive bud and when his teeth lightly graze over your nipple, you let out such a loud moan that it startles you.
‘Shhh or someone will come looking for us,’ Jisung chuckles, moving to your other breast.
‘It’s your fault!’ you say, but there’s no heat behind your words.
Jisung continues to kiss, lick and nibble your breasts until you’re once again shivering in his arms, your loud panting echoing through the bathroom. You arch your back, seeking more friction and your hips move on their own account then, grinding against his stomach.
‘Fuck,’ Jisung whisperes against your skin, his hands grabbing onto your hips to hold you still.
The door to the bathroom opens then and the both of you freeze.
You completely forgot that you’re in a public space where anyone can just walk in and see you naked from the waist up. Jisung seems to think the same and he presses his front against you so your modesty is somewhat intact.
A familiar chuckle fills the room. ‘I figured something like this was going on.’
Over Jisung’s shoulder you can see Chan leaning against the door with his arms crossed and a shit eating grin on his face.
‘Chan,’ you say, letting out a relieved sigh.
He pushes himself off the door with his shoulders and strides forward until his chest is almost touching Jisung’s back.
‘I see your lessons have continued,’ he smiles, bringing his hand up to brush his thumb over your swollen lips.
‘One you just interrupted, Hyung,’ Jisung mutters, looking over his shoulder to glare at Chan.
Chan just shrugs and steps back, leaning down to grab both of your shirts and your bra. ‘The others are getting ready to leave so I figured I’d find you guys.’
With burning cheeks of embarrassment you accept your clothes from his outstretched hands.
‘I’ll wait for you in the hallway,’ Chan winks, letting his eyes linger on your exposed skin for a moment before he turns around and leaves.
Jisung groans and hides his face in the crook of your neck, making you laugh. You gently rake your fingers through his hair and press a kiss against his temple.
‘Come on, we can continue this another time.’
‘Okay, okay,’ Jisung grumbles and he helps you off the counter before leaning in once more for a final kiss.
You quickly get dressed and turn around to look in the mirror. Your cheeks are flushed, your lips swollen, your hair is a mess and your eyes sparkle. You look like you’ve just been fucked and the thought makes your heart pound loudly in your chest. Maybe soon.
Chan is waiting for the two of you in the hallway, scrolling on his phone and he looks up when you walk towards him.
‘You okay?’ he asks, smiling sweetly at you.
‘Just a bit embarrassed you walked in on us, but other than that yes,’ you blush, fidgeting with the bracelets on your wrist.
Chan chuckles and Jisung kisses your cheek. ‘No need for that, baby.’
The three of you walk back towards the dance studio, chatting a bit about the upcoming plans you have for the next few days and whether or not you want to come back to their place to watch a movie tonight.
When Jisung suddenly stops walking, both you and Chan turn to look at him.
‘Uhm, before we meet up with the others, I have a question,’ he says. ‘It’s a bit of a personal question and I don’t know if you’ll be comfortable answering it in front of everyone.’
‘Okay, what is it?’ you ask, nervously biting your lip.
‘Uhm, so I noticed the way you reacted to some of my touches earlier and I wondered if you’ve ever orgasmed before?’
You blink at him a few times and his cheeks turn red.
‘Told you it was personal,’ he mutters. ‘You don’t have to answer.’
Chan takes a hold of your hand and squeezes. ‘Y/N?’
‘Well, uhm,’ you stammer and both of their eyes grow wide.
‘You have touched yourself, right?’ Chan asks carefully.
‘Of course,’ you blush, shuffling awkwardly on your feet. ‘I’m just not sure if I’ve ever come before.’
‘What do you mean you’re not sure?’ Jisung asks with a frown. ‘How can you not be sure?’
‘Jisung!’ Chan hisses, once again squeezing your hand. ‘It’s okay if you haven’t, you know.’
‘Sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. Of course it’s okay and probably totally normal for a woman too, I’ve heard it can be difficult,’ Jisung takes a hold of your other hand.
You can’t believe you’re actually having this conversation with two of your best friends, but considering what they’ve been doing with you and what is still to come, it’s probably best that they know.
‘It is difficult. I mean, it feels good, but it always gets too much and I have to stop,’ you explain in a whisper. ‘I don’t think that feeling is actually an orgasm.’
‘Probably not, because trust me, you will know when you have one.’ Jisung says, winking at you.
Chan nods in agreement. ‘It’s very likely you haven’t.’
‘Oh,’ you breathe out, looking down at your hands in embarrassment.
‘Hey,’ Chan lifts your chin with his index finger. ‘That’s nothing to be ashamed about, love.’
‘Yeah, we’ll just have to fix it,’ Jisung grins, poking your side. ‘And trust me, we will.’
‘Oh we will,’ Chan agrees. ‘You’ll get that first orgasm and you’ll get it soon.’
Oh boy.

“Here, baby. It’s your favorite, just like you wanted.”
Chan’s smile stretched wider as he set the items on the table, his eyes full of obsessive warmth as he watched your every move….
Every expression you made.
Every ghost of a shiver that ran up your spine.
Three weeks into being safe and sound with him, you still hadn’t learned to trust him completely:
To completely twist yourself free from the gut-wrenching fear of him.
What would a man like Christopher Chan Bahng do if you made one wrong move, said one nasty word, or refused one of his heartfelt offerings?
You hadn't the courage to get an answer to the question.
Not yet, anyway.
Sitting there in a kitchen you’d only just learned existed down the hall from the room he’d kept you for the first week and a half felt oddly freeing.
It was one of the few places Chan let you roam around in his part-time abode -and only if he was present when you did so.
“There are rules,” he’d told you the first night, having coaxed you to listen to what he had to say if he agreed to unbind you from the bed and against your better judgment and the prying instinct to make a run for the unlocked door behind him…
You sat idly as he eased into a one-sided conversation.
“You have rules…here…with me,” Chan clarified, smiling small, but his voice still holding twinges of directness. “There’s not a lot, and I know you’ll be able to remember them. Responsible as you are…”
He trailed off, eyes softening on you as admiration clouded them.
That singular stare numbed your nerves in the moment. A blatant indication to you of how long and thoroughly he’d been watching you.
He'd been cataloging your life and all its highs and lows.
Chan knew you were responsible because he’d seen it from afar, observing how dedicated you were to keeping the shop in order when your boss wouldn’t. How you made it a point to check your surroundings every time you ventured from your apartment alone.
Now you realize you hadn't been as vigilant or responsible as you thought.
Chan intended to fix that.
Your heartbeat dropped its pace, slowing to a lowered thrum in your ears as you watched him watch you.
Expectations and boundaries spilled from his lips like all those fleeting compliments he’d given you in the record store.
“You have a beautiful smile. Adorable even…”
“Never leave this room without my permission. Everything you’ll ever need is already here, and if you don’t have it, I’ll get it for you. Just ask…”
“I like your taste in music. It’s refreshing to get someone else’s opinions…”
“Look at me when I’m speaking to you. Always. So I know you’re listening and understand what I’m telling you.”
“Sorry, this may be a little forward of me, but would you like to hang out sometime?”
“You will take care of yourself. Shower, get ready, get dressed, and eat every meal I give you. No exceptions. No excuses, princess..”
“It was nice to meet you, pretty girl. I’ll give you a call later! Oh, and thanks for the help..”
“I’m doing this for your good, Y/n. All you have to do is listen…don’t think… listen to me.”
Rules.
Sweet nothings.
They mixed when Chan spoke, blending as you swallowed the urge to sob aloud while he eyed you from the edge of the bed. “Tell me you understand what I’ve said, sweetheart.” The blonde tilted his head, voice warm but expression void of lenient compassion for the pain etched across yours.
Your tongue felt drier at the moment, your head spinning, and your blood cold as you refused to speak to him.
Chan’s eyes narrowed an inch; his slight change in expression made you withdraw.
“I said tell me you understand.”
Your lips parted before you could pull your subconsciousness from the grips of instinctual survival. “Y-yes I under…under..stand…” you croaked quietly, curling in on yourself when he let his lips settle into a minuscule smirk.
“Good girl… learning so fast already…”
A knot of pure hatred mixed with an unfamiliar emotion twisted in your chest upon hearing him casually utter such a demeaning phrase.
It still rang in your head every time he was near you. That same unnamed gut feeling rooted itself in your core with each day you remained entangled in his version of contentment.
Trapping you in his sick and twisted version of a happy home.
A happy life with him and only him.
Chan sat next to you at the kitchen island, twisting his barstool to face yours. He pushed the familiar brown bag and plastic cup to you, inching closer.
“…. Just for you, like I promised.”
You didn’t move, frozen in place by practiced stubbornness and conflicted with your thoughts as you stared at the treat you’d been craving for what felt like half a lifetime…
But if you were doing your math right, counted the hours he was away, and constructed them into the time he spent with you, then that meant…
It’d been three Sundays since he’d taken you from that brick alleyway.
Three…long…tense…suffocating, and confusing …weeks.
The air under your nose wafted with the crisp tinge of warm pastry puff and strawberry filling. Your eyes settled on a dollop of whipped cream melting into the drink.
Your mouth watered, having been stripped of anything overly sweet for weeks, all thanks to Chan’s intentional and well-balanced meals for you.
What he ate, you ate.
The same went for almost anything else you’d experienced in his care.
What he laid out for you to wear, you wore.
What he watched, you watched.
What he said, you obeyed.
Weeks of falling into a nearly sunless state of compliance, unsure of how to feel about it, and even more affairs of becoming entirely comfortable with it sent your mind into a leveled frenzy.
You were beginning to feel odd…
Longing to hear Chan’s keys jingle from down the hall, and his footsteps echoing closer to the locked door of your room, rather than fearing the sounds.
You looked forward to seeing him after hours of being kept alone in a room with only a stack of books to read, a pad of paper and pen, and a strange amount of various stuffed animals to keep you company. Once or twice, you caught yourself beginning to smile when you saw him slip into your room after unlocking it. He greeted you every time, inviting you out of the room for two hours until dinner -which promptly occurred at 10 PM every night.
A twisted sense of security wrestled itself into your psyche. Your heart switched between racing in fear and slowing from unconscious infatuation. Your breaths came easier, and your body relaxed a tad more in his presence.
It was…
Alarming.
So much so that the moment Chan stopped mid-step on his way out of your room for the night before to ask you a question, your sensible train of thought nearly reignited.
Unfortunately, that trickle of sense fizzled back into a fog of conscious paralysis, hearing his voice envelop the room.
“Anything in particular you want tomorrow?”
You swallow hard, slipping underneath the heavy duvet before answering him quietly.
“What..? What do you mean?..”
That is a fair question.
Chan didn't blame you for asking it and was unsure whether to proceed with his offer.
But the pure, unguarded curiosity in your eyes and expression made him continue. “Is there anything special you’d like to have?..” he clarified.
You still said nothing.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair before showing a tender smile as if he’d become embarrassed of having to explain his sudden thoughtfulness.
“Think of it like a gift from me to you, princess. Something special since you’ve been so …”
He paused, eyes lowering from your face for a moment, momentarily distant as they settled on the cover pulled over your knees and to your chest.
The straps of the cream-colored chiffon night dress he’d picked out for you that night lowered from your shoulder as you shifted, waiting to hear the rest of his reasoning, and Chan reluctantly drew his gaze back up to your face.
“Good for me…” he clarified under a heavy breath, glad the door partially hid the hardening in his crotch from your wandering eyes.
“I can have..anything?” You pried for options, having narrowed the most apparent forms of escape or attempt at communication with the outside world out of the realm of possibilities.
Chan was an intelligent man.
A highly intuitive one at that.
A man who paid attention to the most minor details. Obvious or not.
Getting anything past him felt like running into a cement wall and hoping it’d eventually vanish and let you pass.
It wouldn’t.
He wouldn’t.
When you caught his slow nod of approval at your question, you decided that asking a small, harmless question would be a safe decision.
“I want something from the cafe….please…the one I used to. “
“Yeah, no. I remember which one it is, sweetheart….” Chan cut into your response, mind wandering to dangerous places, watching you sink further into the corners and set your doe eyes on him as you did.
It’s sickened him to some degree how hot his blood ran seeing you vulnerable and comfortable all at once in his presence.
There wasn’t a chance in the world he’d be able to keep his hands off you for another week if you kept affecting him this way. Chan purposefully attempted to avoid the feeling, but there was only so much he could do before everything you did affected him.
Called to him…
Begged for him…
God, he wanted to hear you beg for him…
Scream for him…
Chan sucked in a quick breath, head leaning on the doorframe as he shut his eyes and mumbled back to you, “I’ll bring you something from there in the morning. Night, princess..”
And then he was gone again.
You slept a little easier last night, hoping his gesture of intentional goodwill was a sign he was starting to regret his actions. Still, now that hope died in your chest, seeing the pure content on his face as he observed you tentatively reaching for the pastry and latte he'd brought back just for you.
Chan was never going to feel guilty.
Not when everything was perfect between you, especially for him.
The pastry melted on your tongue, warm and sweet but barely easing the weight in your chest, sensing Chan’s gaze on you. Every bite you took was less and less soothing, hardly washed down any more accessible with the few sips of cold caffeine you took between each one, but you refused to give him any more signs of your distress.
If you did, it always seemed to go straight to his head.
Chan fed off of it.
You’d learned that much about him in less than a week.
Despite his constant attempts at heartfelt kindness, your fear of him was his fix.
What a sick bastard…
You swallowed the last bite of the pastry as the thought crossed your mind, crumpling up the parchment it was wrapped in before dropping it into the bag but leaving the half-full cup alone.
“Thank you,” you forced a smile, hints of genuine gratitude coaxing the pleasant expression onto your face, but it was short-lived as Chan shook his head. “Finish all of it,” he instructed, nudging the cup closer to you without glancing at it. “Don’t waste what I give you…”
You stiffen in your seat, “I’m fine. I've had enough, really-“
Your lips immediately pressed shut when he stood, closing in on you until your head lulled back to keep him in your sight. Chan stared down at you, right hand raised to brush across your cheek, and the left picking the latte up from the counter. Every nerve you had spanned to life, chills rising on your skin as he invaded your space and fixed you in place with a void glare.
Chan exhaled slowly, reducing the anger he felt when you refused his demand and replacing it with a controlled ease. “I took time out of my day to get you something special, and I expect you to appreciate it. Open up…” his hand falls to cup your chin, grip tight and promising. You swallow hard, eyes dilating with anxiety as he applies more pressure, progressing until you utter a whine of pain and let your mouth fall slack. “Atta girl…” Chan praises under his breath, caging you in the seat and easing the drink to your parted lips.
Your stomach drops, feeling helpless as he forces you to gulp down the remaining half of the cold caffeinated drink. Your legs twitch and shift between his, nails clawing at the sheer stockings covering your thighs underneath the sweater you wore, and your breaths struggle to remain constant as the liquid pours down your throat and from the corner of your lips.
His hold on your jaw is painful but not as tortuous as the thoughts racing through your mind as you peer up at him through teary eyes.
It hurts, but it feels so…
Why won’t he stop…? Do I want him to…stop?…
You choked as the last drops of the latte drizzled onto your tongue, gasping for air quietly as he released your jaw and tapped your cheek gently. A phantom of pain blooms on your skin, disappearing seconds after the tender slap occurs but snapping you back to reality to hear him speak.
“I need you wide awake for me today. Can’t have you looking too tired when Bin comes over for a visit.”
You stare at him, half dizzy and confused, hearing him mention another’s name.
He hadn’t mentioned his friends, family, or acquaintances before…
Though your throat still burned and your eyes had yet to un-blur completely, you asked, “W-who’s Bin?”…”
Chan smiled, gently kissing your nose since you weren’t in any shape to reel away from him like you had before. Your face warmed from the gesture, your heart fluttering a bit as the distinct feeling of his lips brushing your skin was mildly delightful.
“He's a good friend of mine. Someone I work with often, too. I think you’ll like him a lot.”
Your lips twitched into a timid smile, a mix of relief and desire hanging over your head. “I…I can't wait to meet him. " You shifted around, swiping the back of your right hand across your damp lips to wipe away the coffee left on them and swiftly cover the vague happiness that begged to show itself.
Maybe this ‘Bin’ could be your way out of all of this - a saving grace from the hell you were beginning to settle into.
“Good. Now, get cleaned up. He’ll be here soon.” Chan lifts you from the chair, steadying your drowsy weight against him for a moment before you give him a solemn nod and carefully step past him. An array of ideas starts to cloud your head, gathering traction and precedence over any other thought you have, but they're shattered to pieces when Chan calls out to you from the kitchen.
“Y/n..”
You freeze, hand pressed to the corner of the hallway for support as you peer at him over your shoulder.” Yes?...” you breathe out, uneased by the pleasant smile he flashes you before leaning against the center island. " Don't try anything cute when he's here. Asking for his help won't change a thing.”
“I won’t…”
God fucking damn it-
Tumblr media
The sound of another’s voice from down the hall catches your attention, melting into laughter and warm words toward your captor a moment later.
‘Bin’ must be here…
You sniffle at the realization, dabbing the damp white cloth over your mouth several times before rinsing and wringing it out into the bathroom sink. Droplets of caramel coffee swirled down the drain, disappearing like your will to escape began to. Chan’s warning to you was a simple threat—a nicely put one but still a promise of consequences to your preemptive attempts for escape.
A lump settled in your throat as you stared in the mirror above the sink, silently trying to convince your reflection that everything was fine.
That you’d find a way out of this soon.
You wanted to believe the determination written across your features would remain, but it consciously vanished when you quietly stepped out of the bathroom and down the dim hallway. You came to a stop at the hall's edge, peeking from behind it to glimpse at the man Chan seemed to be enjoying a conversation with.
He had black hair, and he was around Chan’s height, too, but a bit more muscled than him. And he sounded pleasant, but by now, you’d learned that assuming a stranger's length of kindness by their words was never a good idea.
With pursed lips and a soft gulp, you shifted to hide behind the corner again, unnerved by the prospect of meeting anyone who took to Chan’s company and afraid of having to endure meeting them yourself without the chance to beg for their help to get away from him.
“Shff..*
Your stockings brush along the floor, catching Chan’s attention and bringing his conversation with Changbin to a sudden halt. He glanced at the corner you hid behind, watching Changbin do the same before saying anything. “Baby, come here. Could you introduce yourself to my friend? Don’t be shy..”
You swallow a groan, peeking around the corner again as if he hadn’t caught your presence already, “H-Hi…” you greet the man sitting across from him in the living room.
Chan shakes his head, eyeing you intently. “Don’t be rude, princess. Come out here and meet him.” Changbin laughs, smiling warmly as he shifts in his seat to see your hidden form better. “I swear I don’t bite:” he joked.
Oh…
He seems harmless, but still...
Your heart jumps with a sense of joy you thought had been snuffed out weeks ago. Warmth floods your cheeks, and seeing him stretch out a hand for you to shake is an added sign of goodwill from him.
“Okay…” you mumble, slipping from the hallway to tentatively shake his hand before repeating your greeting upfront. “Hi.”
Changbin chuckled, his brows raising a bit. “I’m Changbin, and you are? " He seemed genuinely intrigued, glancing between you and Chan before the latter cleared his throat.
“Bin, this is Y/n, the girl I told you about…”
“Oh,” Changbin grinned, holding your hand longer than needed as he stared up at you. “She is cute. No wonder you talk about her so much. " He met your lowered eyes, offering a warm smile you barely returned before retracting his hand from yours. “Wait, how long did you say you’ve been together?”
Chan sighed, shrugging at the question despite knowing its exact answer.
Three weeks, sixteen hours, and forty-three minutes is how long you’d been trapped in his sick fantasy.
He’d been counting every second, and now you were, too.
“Six months next week, Bin.”
“And you've already moved in with him? Must be love at first sight…” Changbin looked between you both, ignoring your aversion to looking at Chan directly or oblivious to the tension between you two.
You didn't answer him, lips pressed shut, and your hands nervously twiddling behind your back. Chan answered for you, rising from his spot on the couch to pat Changbin’s stout shoulder as he came to stand by your side. “Must be. Right, sweetheart?” The skin of your lower back gathers goosebumps, feeling his hand firmly plant itself there, thumb tracing the trial of your spine as he eases you closer to him. Your tongue falls flat in your mouth, your body weak and tense all at once from the weight of his touch. Afraid to use your voice without letting out an unseemly sound, you give a gentle no, eyes fluttering between Changbin and Chan, who smile at your silent agreement.
“Are you always this quiet around strangers?” Changbin chuckles, and you embarrassingly shake your head, pressing against Chan’s side as he speaks for you. “Or maybe you're just really loud,” he retorts, inwardly brimming with pride, feeling your body shift towards his for comfort.
Finally.
You were learning to trust him.
To depend on him.
Changbin rolls his eyes, his mouth ticking into an unaffected smirk. “I'm the right amount loud. Otherwise, your tracks would only get so far.” Chan’s body goes rigid at the teasing jab, startling you when his grip on your lower back shifts to your hip to knead the soft skin. You whine quietly as his fingertips bare down on the muscle. The hold grounds him but unnerved you.
He was upset.
That much you could tell, but Chan didn't let anger cloud his features, shrugging off Changbin’s usual innocent jabs at him, “Whatever helps you sleep at night, Bin. “
Said man huffs, staring at Chan for a few seconds before returning to you. “Want to join us for a little bit? I know Chan says you like to spend your free time alone doing your own thing, but since you're here-”
“I’d love to!” Your mouth moves before your mind computes a careful response, growing into a sheepish smile as Changbin laughs at your impulsive reaction. Conversely, Chan seems stiffer by the second, not angered but vaguely displeased.
You ignored it, forcing your nerves to settle despite feeling the air around him thicken with masked tension. “So, what were two talking about earlier? From what I heard, it sounded like a fun conversation.” You smile at Changbin, hoping he'll see the desperation hidden in your eyes as you slip away from Chan and hurry to sit beside him on the sofa.
You're too close to him.
He's too close to you.
That's your first strike, and you don't even realize it.
Chan makes no move to point out your blatant mistake, either. His expression slips into a hardened glare as the two of you converse without him. His eyes burn into the side of your head, fixated on every fluctuating reaction you have to Changbin.
The spark of yearning that returns to your pretty eyes as they focus on him.
The gentle nods you give while he speaks.
How you are a bit closer to him when an intriguing topic extends itself.
Every little thing begins to irritate Chan.
You'd been huddled close to him only a minute ago like a trapped mouse, scared of a stranger and seeking his protection...
And now, here you are, eating up anything and everything his Changbin did or said.
Ungrateful.
Disrespectful.
A little liar is what you were.
Chan couldn't look past it, even as the hours ticked by. He joined in the pleasant conversations that dwindled into laughter over several shared take-out dishes, but he refused to give you the benefit of the doubt any longer. Barely tempering his envy of the attention and comfort you shared with Changbin when he'd done everything for you to earn such things for himself.
So ungrateful.
So fucking needy for another man's attention…
Chan counted down the seconds until Changbin’s phone rang half past one in the morning, vibrating on the glass coffee table you sat in front of with him.
“Hold on. Let me get this real quick,” Changbin said, snatching his phone from the table. He offered you a kind and apologetic smile to make up for shortening your moving conversation. “It's okay,” you mouthed, hands raised to wave off his unneeded reasoning as you watched him stand up to take the call in the hallway. Changbin ruffled his free hand through your hair, giving a silent ‘thank you’ on his way out of the room, flashing Chan a cheeky grin as he disappeared around the corner.
You stared at the empty spot next to you, still reeling through ideas of how to gain Changhins help or at least convince him to let you use his phone without Chan knowing…
But the blonde hadn't left you alone or taken his eyes off you and Changbin for a second the entire time he was there. If anything, Chan watched you painfully closer, looming like a shadow in every interaction and a little too good at insulating you had a healthy, willing, and established relationship with him.
Even if that was the furthest thing from the truth.
Nonetheless, Changbin hadn't shown any signs of recognizing the reality of your unwanted arrangement. You had no chance to subtly hint at it to him, aware of Chan’s vigilance even when he wasn't directly involved in the friendly exchanges.
You'd more than once caught him staring you down, arms folded over his chest, and his jaw set into a tight angle. A shiver ran up your spine every time you caught the look in his eyes.
How cold those brown irises turned, filling with deepening jealousy.
If you hadn't felt trapped and endangered before…
You felt that way now.
Your gaze refused to shift from the carport you sat on, hands twiddling in your lap as your heart raced a little faster second by second.
“You think I'm stupid, baby girl?”
You immediately shake your head ‘no’ as he speaks under the distant sound of Changbin’s ongoing phone call.
Chan scoffs, his head ticking once, and bites back with a wry smile. “Hm. So, she's a fucking liar too…”
It's a statement—an observation he's made, and you cannot deny it.
Your heart drops to the pit of your stomach, lodged there as you shake your head again and finally set your eyes on his.
“Chan, please...I’m not-“
“Shut up.”
Silence.
The moment his command hits your burning ears, a cold, heavy, and suffocating silence blankets the room. He lets it settle, holding your doe-eyed stare with a sharp glare. “Come here.”
Your hands freeze, tears welling in your eyes, but you blink them away.
Crying never works on Chan.
Never.
Your head lowers as you shift onto your knees and grip the coffee table's edge to stand up, a tremble catching your fingers as the cold glass amplifies the heat of anxiety taking over you.
“No,” Chan seethes out, leaning forward to rest his arms on his knees, head resting against his left hand as the right beckons you toward him, familiar veins contracting through them from the subtle gestures he makes.“Crawl.”
You swallow like he's shoved a lead pill down your throat by voicing the command, frozen in thinly veiled hesitancy as he waits for you to follow it.
The last remnants of pride and brimming hope melt away from you, drained out of your body as it shifts back from the edge of the table and onto the floor again. Chan watches you lower down to be on your hands and knees, your soft cheeks dampening with a few stray tears as you crawl towards him with timid caution in every move you make. The heat you feel rises to your face, painting it a solemn red when you settle between his legs. Chan plants his feet, making room for you and quickly locking you in his range.
“Turn around,” he whispers, left index finger making a small circle to emphasize the instruction. Slowly, you shift to face away from him, pleading with an invisible force to ease your panic, unable to see what he will do and anticipate when he’ll do so.
Chan hadn’t raised a hand to you. Not once.
He could be rough, drag, and move you with pointed strength when he felt you needed a firmer guide, but hitting you?
Never.
Him showing any sign of brute physicality towards you?
Never.
You’d begun to realize Chan didn’t need to exert force, always expressing it in his words, expressions, and acts of service rather than using violence.
So, your fear -that swirling and dizzying uncertainty you’d felt for weeks- stemmed from a much deeper and deranged concept your mind had conjured up.
You weren’t afraid of Chan.
No…
You were terrified of just how far and how many demented things you’d be willing to let him do to you…
Even if he’d cornered you into them.
Forced you.
You wanted him to do that on a certain level of consciousness. To give up fighting his insistence on loving you his way and bask in it for as long as he’d let you.
You’d begun dreaming about it day and night. Constantly fantasizing about him when you should hate him with every breath you take.
God, you wanted to hate him, claw at him, make him feel the pain you felt sitting alone in the room he kept you locked away in.
But the moment Chan’s breath spanned the nape of your neck, warm and slow as he breathed you in from behind, your head was empty of malicious intent towards him. All you could focus on was him: the smell of his cologne, the heat from his body, and the quiet hum of his satisfaction that seeped straight through your reddened ears down to the space between your legs.
His voice alone made you ache in a way you refused to acknowledge.
You pressed your thighs together, praying the steady pulse in your core would vanish if you tried hard enough to hide it.
You should’ve known better than to hope for any small triumph of self-control being near Chan because the second he saw you tense up and circle your hips, he tugged you back into him.
His left hand grasps the tousled hair at the back of your head, pulling and twisting, while the right grips your throat. A soft gasp of pain and moderate shock left your lips as he reared your head backward with a rough force on your hair, muffling the surprised sighs you let out by pressing the pads of his fingers directly against the nerves of your neck. Chan left you no choice but to inhale sharply through your nose, eyes trained on the twists and turns of your expression while his own remained inches wholly and away stoic.
You clawed at his right hand on intuition, longing for the burning need for air to settle into your lungs. Helpless abs, afraid of your excitement, you struggled against his hold on you, eyes shut tight when he choked you harder and grazed his nose along your cheek until he reached your ear. His lips pressed into a smile, lingering over the sensitive skin as he spoke to you. “I don’t want to hurt you…but,” he exhales, something kin to a groan falling from his mouth before he continues, “…I can’t keep letting you get away with this, baby girl.”
You shudder, stifling a frustrated whimper as Chan places a chaste kiss on the tip of your ear, nuzzling your head with his own as his proper slips under your ankle and forces it apart from your left one—immediate defiance courses through you being put into a new, compromising position.
Held tight against him, barely able to breathe, and legs now spread for him to see what you’d been trying to hide for nearly two weeks.
Clear evidence of how badly you wanted him.
How far you’d fallen into craving him.
Your heart stopped dead in its tracks as cool air enveloped the forming wet patch on your sheer rose pink underwear, barely hidden under the hem of your skirt. Chan whistled lowly at the sight, staring down at the evident mess you were making of yourself.
“Get a look at that, Princess…” he taunted you in a daze, watching your hips twist and buck as you tried to close your legs again and break away from him, but Chan held you steady the more you fought him.
The tears you fought so hard to hold back began to slip past your flutter lashes, dampening your burning cheeks and drizzling down to coat the veiny hand, practically suffocating you. “No…stop…I-it’s not…“ you stumbled to find an excuse, something to say that’d convince him and yourself that your arousal wasn’t natural.
But it was.
And it was thriving by the minute.
Chan bit into his lower lip, glancing over at the corner Changbin had yet to come walking around.
You could faintly hear the other man still speaking to whoever had called him but instantly pushed his princes to the back of your mind, hearing Chan’s voice melt through the air around you. “What am I going to do with you, pretty girl?” He muses, formulating answers to his question while you shiver at its implications. “You’ve been so good, too..” his praise warms your core, numbing your mind as he builds upon it.
“Doing whatever I tell you…” Chan smiles, gaze trained between the hallway entry and your vulnerable position. “Treating yourself better..”
You whine at that, feeling picked apart and full of yourself all at once by him.
“Being the good girl I knew you could be for me,” Chan mutters, his voice warm as new honey and his hand slowly shifting downward in your hair.
Past the nape of your neck, over your shoulder, down to your chest. You tense under his traveling touch, unconsciously arching up against the palm of his heavy hand as it gently kneads your left breast before attending to the right in the same manner.
Your head leers into his shoulder relaxed against the tight muscle he keeps hidden by a black shirt. A soft moan escaped your lips as they parted to attempt to catch a new breath, muffled by the crook of his neck as you inched closer to him the longer he shamelessly groped your chest.
Chan tongued his cheek, feeling your breathy moans fan over his skin, sending rivers of heat down his back, urging him to slip his hand under the hem of the lacey white camisole you wore. “I was so proud of you, baby girl…” he chuckled, eyes cutting towards the hall again before he pushed the half excuse for a shirt up above your perked breasts. You flinched, startled by his intent to fully expose you when his friend was just down the hall, but Chan wasn’t the slightest remorseful or cautious as he palmed your chest. He took his time, thumb rolling over around each of your nipples, slipping to knead your stomach when you arched for more.
“So…so proud,” he mumbles, studying the quick rise and fall of your chest as you try to breathe normally, hands moving to grip your forearm and wrist for a sense of support as he tortures your resolve. “Chan…Chan…please… sorry…I..” you give up speaking, too all over the place mentally to get a coherent sentence out, and ready to accept your fate in any way he gave it to you.
“But I guess even the best of girls need a little reminder, yeah?” Chan peers into your eyes, smiling softly and vaguely playful, but his tone is the furthest thing from it. You shake your head, brows knitting together in desperation. “No!” Chan, please…please, I promise…I’ll be good… I-I promise..”
Your pleading sinks into the room in hushed whispers, scarcely heard by anyone but him, and you watch his expression soften hearing it.
Was that…
Pity…?
Guilt?..
You couldn’t quite place the look on his face as he stared at you, but seconds later, it vanished, replaced with a smile you knew meant nothing good for you.
“I wish I could believe you, baby. I do, but you’ve earned exactly what’s coming to you.”
Chan exhales slowly, letting the hand he has splayed across your stomach inch further down to firmly cup your covered cunt and press his palm against the patch of cum spreading in the thin fabric covering it. You gasped loudly at the contact, hoping Changbin didn’t hear the lewd sound as it dwindled into a low whine.
Chan soaks in your visceral reaction to being touched indirectly, pressing his middle and ring finger into your underwear until he can feel the warmth of your cunt cover then and leak with pent-up arousal. You bit back a strangled scream at the intrusion, reveling in it and greedily rolling your hips forward against his hand for more. The tips of your toes curled through the thigh-high socks you wore because he seemed to like seeing you in them.
Your legs fell further apart, trembling with pleasure as he pumped his thick fingers into your fluttering cunt, soaking them and your ultimately useless panties in cum, and only stopping when the sound of Changbin’s footsteps came from down the hall.
Chan huffed, openly disappointed by the oncoming disruption but content with the state he’d put you in.
“The minute he leaves, you’re mine.” He groans into your ear, releasing you from his hold and readjusting your skirt and shirt before he helps you sit up straight. You blush, rightfully speechless, while he runs a hand through your hair to fix it just as Changbin rounds the corner.

It's one of those perfect summer days—the kind where the sun sits just right in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over everything. You're perched on the bottom of the bleachers like usual, legs crossed beneath you as you lean against the cool metal railing. Your white summer dress flutters slightly in the breeze, barely reaching mid-thigh. It's airy, comfortable, and pairs well with the hotpants you've slipped on underneath for modesty. You've opted for a casual look today, strappy white wedges on your feet and your signature dangly butterfly earrings swaying gently as you suck on a cherry lollipop.
The cherry flavour stains your lips red as you absentmindedly flip through one of your favourite books, The Book Thief. It's your go-to read when you want to escape into a story that makes you feel a little bit of everything—sadness, hope, love, and pain. You've read it a dozen times by now, but somehow, every time you open its pages, it feels like the first time. Right now, you're lost in the words, only half aware of the distant sounds of shouting and whistles from the football field.
The Miroh Maniacs are practicing again. They always practice during this time of the day, and like clockwork, you've found yourself in your usual spot at the bottom of the bleachers, soaking up the atmosphere while the guys run their drills. It's not that you care much for football itself; honestly, you couldn't be bothered to figure out the rules. But Felix and Jisung are your closest friends, and since they're on the team, you come to watch them as much as you come to enjoy the time you spend alone with your books.
Felix and Jisung are currently stretching near the field, warming up before practice. Jisung's blonde-green hair is tousled from his constant fidgeting, while Felix's sunny smile never falters, even when he's doing something as mundane as touching his toes. You watch them from the corner of your eye, a faint smile tugging at your lips.
"You gonna sit there all day, Y/N?" Felix calls out, his Australian accent laced with mischief. He stands up from his stretch and gives you a wave, his blonde hair catching the sunlight. Jisung follows his gaze and waves too, though his expression is far more playful.
"Just keeping an eye on you two," you tease back, lowering your book slightly. "Wouldn't want you both slacking off while everyone else is running laps."
"Slacking off?" Jisung exclaims, feigning offence. "I'll have you know, I'm the most hardworking player on this field."
Felix snorts and elbows him. "Bullshit. You nap on the bench more than you run."
Jisung shrugs. "Gotta preserve my energy for when it counts."
You chuckle softly and shake your head, returning to your book as they continue their playful bickering. It's a routine by now—Felix and Jisung always find a way to chat with you before practice, and it's become one of the highlights of your day. They bring a sort of lightheartedness that makes everything feel a little less serious, a little more fun.
As you flip another page, you hear the sound of the locker room door swinging open. From your vantage point, you catch a glimpse of Chan, Minho, and Changbin walking out onto the field. They're all decked out in the Miroh Maniacs' black and red uniforms, the bold colours contrasting sharply against the green grass. Chan is at the front, as usual, his short black hair slicked back slightly, though a few strands always fall loose onto his forehead.
But there's something else about him that you can't quite put your finger on. Maybe it's the way he carries himself, or the way he looks at you sometimes when he thinks you're not paying attention. You don't dwell on it too much; it's just part of the strange dynamic between you and the guys on the team.
You lift your hand and wiggle your fingers in greeting as they walk out, your lips curving into a small, lazy smile. "Hey, boys."
Chan's eyes lock onto you the moment you gesture. His easygoing stride falters for just a second, and he sucks in a sharp breath, his cheeks flushing slightly as he tries to keep his composure. You catch it all in your peripheral vision, but you don't comment, assuming it's just Chan being his usual awkward self. That is until he starts coughing like he's choking on air.
Minho, who's walking beside him, doesn't even try to hide his amusement. He slaps Chan's back a few times, shaking his head with a sigh. "Chan, for fuck's sake, you're an embarrassment to us all."
Changbin snickers beside them, crossing his arms over his chest. "Man, get a grip. You're gonna die before practice even starts."
Chan glances at you briefly, his face turning redder by the second. You frown in concern, your body instinctively pushing off the railing as you stand and walk over to where the three of them are standing. The grass feels warm beneath your feet, and you lean slightly against the fence that separates the bleachers from the field, looking down at Chan with a furrowed brow.
"Chan, are you okay?" you ask, your voice soft but filled with genuine worry. You tilt your head, red heart-shaped sunglasses slipping down your nose a little as you peer at him.
Chan, still struggling to get his breathing under control, just stares at you. The sight of you standing there, your white dress fluttering in the breeze, your lips forming his name, has completely short-circuited his brain.
You turn to Changbin, hoping for some clarification. "Is he...?"
Changbin smirks, glancing at Chan before turning back to you. "Oh, he's fine. Just hasn't been drinking enough water, so his brain's a bit fried."
You sigh and cross your arms over your chest. "Chan, you know you should drink more water, right? It's like, basic human survival."
Chan finally manages to nod, though his gaze still lingers on you. "Yeah, um, I'll—I'll do that."
"Good." You give him a small, approving smile before turning back toward Felix and Jisung, who have been watching the whole scene unfold with barely contained laughter.
Minho raises an eyebrow as he watches Chan's stunned reaction. "I swear to God, Chan, if you swoon because the pretty lit student smiled at you, I'm going to kill you."
Chan shoots him a half-hearted glare, still struggling to shake off the embarrassment. "Shut up, Minho."
You catch the tail end of their conversation but decide not to press further. It's Minho being Minho, and he's always teasing someone. With a final glance at the trio, you settle back down at the bleachers, picking up your book where you left off.
As you start reading again, Felix and Jisung jog over during their warm-up break and flop down next to you, both of them drenched in the early sweat of exertion.
"Still reading that same damn book, huh?" Jisung asks, reaching for your lollipop without warning. You smack his hand away with a mock glare.
"Hands off my lollipop, Ji. And yes, The Book Thief is a masterpiece. Don't act like you're not impressed."
Felix leans back, resting his hands behind his head as he watches the players on the field. "I swear, Y/N, you've read that book more times than I've touched a football."
You grin, turning the page lazily. "It's that good."
"Or you just don't wanna admit you're obsessed," Felix teases, nudging your arm lightly.
"I'll admit it. I'm obsessed. But it's a healthy obsession. Unlike whatever it is you two are doing out there with all this... football stuff." You wave a hand vaguely toward the field.
Jisung snorts. "Hey, this 'football stuff' is keeping me in shape, okay? Not all of us can sit on our asses reading books all day."
You raise an eyebrow. "You call lying on the bench napping 'keeping in shape'?"
Felix bursts out laughing, and Jisung pouts, crossing his arms. "I don't nap that much."
"You literally napped for the entire second half of last week's game," Felix points out, still chuckling.
Jisung waves him off. "Whatever. I'm just preserving my energy."
"You keep telling yourself that," you say with a smirk, returning your attention to your book. But the conversation doesn't end there, and the three of you fall into an easy rhythm, bantering back and forth like always.
Meanwhile, on the field, Chan can't seem to keep his eyes off you. It's like every time he tries to focus on the drills, his gaze drifts back to where you're sitting with Felix and Jisung, your head tilted slightly as you laugh at something one of them said. He doesn't even realize how obvious he's being until Minho elbows him in the ribs during a pass.
"Dude, pay attention," Minho mutters under his breath. "You're gonna get tackled if you keep staring like that."
Chan quickly averts his eyes, pretending to be interested in whatever play they're running next. "I wasn't staring."
"Bullshit," Minho snorts, adjusting his jersey. "You've been eye-fucking her for the past ten minutes. Everyone on the field can see it."
Chan shoots him a withering look. "Can you not?"
Changbin sidles up next to them, wiping sweat from his forehead. "Oh, get in line, Chan. Half the college is after her. She's the definition of hot girl summer."
Chan tries to play it cool, shrugging as if the comment doesn't bother him. "I'm not... I mean, it's not like that."
Minho rolls his eyes, clearly unconvinced. "Right. And I'm not the best player on the team."
Changbin snickers. "You wish."
Despite his teammates' teasing, Chan can't help but steal another glance at you. The way your dress hugs your body, the way your hair catches in the wind, and the way you smile at Felix and Jisung so effortlessly makes his chest tighten. But he knows better than to entertain any fantasies. You're friends with most of the guys, and even if you were interested in someone, it probably wouldn't be him. Not when you're already so close to Felix and Jisung.
Still, he can't shake the feeling that there's something special about you. Something that makes his heart race a little faster every time you're around.
Later, during one of their short breaks, Minho makes his way over to you, dripping sweat and looking every bit as smug as he always does. You barely notice him at first, too engrossed in your book, but then you feel the familiar tug of something being pulled from your mouth.
"Hey!" you protest, looking up just in time to see Minho steal the lollipop from between your lips. He smirks at you, twirling it between his fingers before popping it into his mouth without a second thought.
You roll your eyes, completely unbothered by the gesture. "That's the closest you'll ever get to kissing me, Lee Minho."
Minho laughs and pulls the lollipop back out, licking his lips exaggeratedly. "I'll savour all of those kisses forever, my sweet Y/N."
You snort and wave him off. "Okay, loverboy, get lost. You stink of sweat."
Minho leans closer, grinning wickedly. "And you smell like cherries and flowers."
You shrug nonchalantly. "Bought myself a new perfume."
His grin widens. "That perfume is turning me on."
You meet his gaze with a deadpan expression. "Yeah, well, your smell is turning me off. Not that you've ever turned me on."
Minho clutches his chest dramatically as if you've wounded him. "Ouch. Straight to the heart."
Despite his theatrics, you smile fondly and nudge him with your foot. "Go practice, Minho. You're wasting time."
"Fine, fine." He sticks the lollipop back in your mouth before jogging off with a cheeky wave. "I'll be thinking of you."
You roll your eyes again, sucking on the now half-melted candy. It's always like this with Minho, flirty, playful, but ultimately harmless. Everyone on the team knows it's all platonic between the two of you. You'd never date Minho, and he knows it, which makes the banter even more fun.
Felix and Jisung, having witnessed the whole exchange, burst into laughter as soon as Minho is out of earshot.
"You two are so weird," Felix comments, shaking his head.
Jisung grins. "Yeah, but it's entertaining as hell."
You shrug, leaning back against the bleachers with a satisfied smile. "He's just jealous because I'm too good for him."
Felix laughs, pulling a water bottle from his bag. "If you say so."
Jisung nudges you with his elbow, a wide grin spread across his face. "You and Minho really have the weirdest relationship. I swear he flirts with you more than anyone else, and it's completely pointless."
You shrug, leaning back against the bleachers, still sucking on the lollipop Minho had placed back into your mouth. "He's just mad because he knows he doesn't stand a chance. That, and he's jealous that I'm smarter than him."
Felix raises an eyebrow, his lips curling up in a smirk. "Smarter? Or more stubborn?"
"Both," you reply with a wink before settling into your book once again.
Before the conversation can go any further, Chan's voice cuts through the air, calling the team back to the field. "Alright, break's over! Get your asses moving!"
The guys all groan in unison, but they comply, hauling themselves off the bleachers and jogging back toward the centre of the field. You watch them go, the familiar sounds of shuffling cleats and shouted encouragements filling the air. You prop your feet up on the lower seat in front of you, feeling the metal beneath your heels as you let yourself sink into the world of The Book Thief once again.
The field is loud with the sounds of practice—shouted commands, whistles, and the occasional thud of bodies colliding as they run drills. But none of it distracts you as you turn the page, eyes skimming over familiar words. Your world narrows down to the story in front of you, the heat of the summer sun on your skin, and the rhythmic thump of footballs in the background.
Still, even through the haze of the book, you can feel someone's eyes on you. You glance up from the pages every now and then, catching glimpses of Chan sneaking looks your way between plays. It's subtle, the way his eyes flicker to the bleachers when he thinks no one's watching. But it's not subtle enough to escape your notice. You don't say anything about it, though. It's just Chan being Chan—awkward but sweet, always looking out for you in his quiet way.
You shift in your seat, adjusting the heart-shaped sunglasses on your nose as you get lost in the story again, completely unaware of the tension building on the field.
Then, out of the corner of your eye, you notice someone approaching the bleachers. At first, you don't think much of it, assuming it's just another student passing by. But when the figure gets closer, you recognize him immediately, and your stomach twists.
Aaron.
The sight of him makes your blood run cold, and a wave of anger surges through you before you even realize what's happening. He doesn't have the right to be here—not after everything. Not after the way he treated you. Your ex-best friend, now a ghost from your past, a haunting presence you've been trying to shake off for months. And here he is, showing up uninvited, acting like nothing has changed.
You slam the book shut, the sound of it snapping closed louder than you intended. Aaron's eyes lock onto you as he climbs the bleachers, his lips curling into a smirk that makes your skin crawl.
"Y/N," he says, his voice dripping with fake charm. "It's been a while."
Your jaw clenches, fingers tightening around the book in your lap. "What the hell are you doing here, Aaron?"
He shrugs casually as if he has every right to be standing in front of you. "Just thought I'd stop by and say hi. You haven't been answering my messages."
"That's because I don't want to talk to you," you snap, rising to your feet, your heart pounding in your chest. "We have nothing to say to each other."
He steps closer, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Don't be like that. We used to be friends."
"Used to be," you emphasize, your voice cold. "That's the key phrase here. We're not friends anymore."
Across the field, Chan notices the tension between you and the guy on the bleachers. He's too far to hear what's being said, but he can tell from your body language that something's off. His brow furrows as he watches you stand up, arms crossed over your chest, facing the guy with obvious hostility.
"Who's that?" Minho asks, following Chan's gaze.
Chan shakes his head slightly. "I don't know... but it doesn't look good."
The rest of the team starts noticing too, their attention momentarily diverted from practice as they watch you argue with the guy on the bleachers. From their distance, they can't hear anything, but they don't need to. Your posture says it all—tense, defensive, and angry.
Then, suddenly, Aaron grabs your wrist.
The entire team freezes, watching in shock as you yank your hand away from his grasp with a furious glare. Before anyone can react, you swing your book, hitting him across the face with a loud crack. The force of it sends him stumbling back a step, and you see the anger flare in his eyes.
Changbin whistles lowly, muttering under his breath, "Who the fuck is that?"
Felix's face tightens with worry, his jaw clenched as he exchanges a glance with Jisung. "That's Aaron... her ex-best friend."
Jisung's face twists in disgust. "He's a fucking asshole. Should've been put down ages ago."
Minho turns to Felix and Jisung, his eyes narrowing. "What the hell's his deal?"
Felix exhales sharply, scratching the back of his neck. "Best friend turned stalker. He's lucky we didn't kill him."
The rest of the guys look at Felix in surprise, and Changbin raises an eyebrow. "Wait, what? You never said anything."
Felix looks at the ground, his voice quiet but firm. "It wasn't our place to say anything. She went through some serious shit, and we were just there to help."
Jisung nods, his expression dark. "One night, she called me. Locked herself in the bathroom. I could hear him threatening her, saying he was gonna kill her. When Felix and I got to her apartment, he was trying to kick down the door... with a knife in hand."
The silence that follows is heavy, and the rest of the guys exchange looks of disbelief.
Felix glances up, his face set in a grim expression. "Twelve years of Taekwondo came in pretty handy that day."
Minho's eyes darken with understanding, and he clenches his fists, looking back at you on the bleachers. "So this guy's a fucking psycho?"
Felix nods. "Pretty much."
The team watches closely as the confrontation between you and Aaron escalates. You can't hear what he's saying, but from the way his lips are moving, it's obvious he's trying to provoke you. The tension in the air is palpable as the guy steps forward again, getting in your face.
Then, in one swift motion, you punch him square in the nose.
The satisfying sound of bone crunching fills the air as Aaron stumbles back, clutching his bleeding nose in shock. The team collectively holds their breath for a second before Changbin breaks the silence with a loud whoop.
"Beat his ass, Y/N!" Changbin yells, pumping his fist in the air.
Jeongin joins in, laughing as he cups his hands around his mouth. "Hit him with the book again!"
Seungmin, usually the most reserved, can't help but shout, "Kick him in the balls!"
Hyunjin, ever the drama queen, throws his hands up. "Make his face even uglier!"
You don't need their encouragement. You're already seething with rage, your hand still stinging from the punch as you glare down at Aaron, who's now crouched slightly, blood dripping from his nose.
But then Minho narrows his eyes, his gaze fixed on Aaron's movements. He leans closer to Chan and mutters quietly, "He's not backing down."
Chan's jaw tightens, his eyes locked on you and the way Aaron seems to be moving closer again despite the blood and the pain. "You think he's gonna hurt her? Here?"
Minho nods, his expression hard. "He looks like he's about to do something stupid."
Without another word, Chan signals to the rest of the team, and they all start moving toward the bleachers. The air feels heavy with anticipation, every step bringing them closer as the situation becomes more dangerous by the second.
Aaron, oblivious to the approaching football players, raises his hand as if to strike you. But before he can make contact, a strong hand grabs his wrist mid-air, twisting it behind his back with practised ease.
Aaron yelps in pain, his face contorting as Chan steps in front of him, a grin tugging at his lips. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
You blink, surprised but also oddly relieved as Chan appears out of nowhere, his grip on Aaron's wrist firm. The football team gathers around, forming an intimidating circle around Aaron, their faces set in stone. You slide your sunglasses down your nose, making eye contact with Chan, who still has that cocky grin on his face.
"Thanks," you say, breathless but composed. "Never thought I'd need a sweaty hero in cleats and shoulder pads, but... it's not all bad."
Chan chuckles, his eyes glinting with amusement. "How about you let me take you to dinner tonight?"
You raise an eyebrow, glancing at Aaron, who's still squirming in Chan's grip. "As you can see, I have a bit of... baggage."
Chan shrugs nonchalantly, twisting Aaron's arm a little more until he yelps again. "As you can see, I can handle baggage." He releases Aaron with a swift shove, then kicks him lightly in the ass, sending him stumbling forward.
Aaron, humiliated and defeated, glares at you before storming off, blood still dripping from his nose. You watch him go, a mix of relief and adrenaline pumping through your veins.
Once he's out of sight, you turn back to Chan, a playful smirk on your lips. "In that case... dinner sounds great."
Chan grins at you, his eyes still gleaming with amusement from the adrenaline of the situation. "Practice is over in ten. I'll shower and then we can go out for dinner."
You cross your arms, a playful smile tugging at the corner of your lips. "You better not smell of sweat or this whole thing is cancelled."
He chuckles, running a hand through his sweaty hair. "I'll smell as fresh as a daisy, I swear."
You point at him, your expression dead serious despite the humour in your tone. "Your body wash better not be tea tree. That shit is fucking gross."
Chan laughs, a deep, carefree sound that makes your stomach flutter for reasons you don't want to admit to yourself just yet. "Noted. No tea tree. I'll pick something extra nice just for you."
"Good," you say, giving him a mock stern look before smiling. "I'll be waiting."
He jogs back onto the field, shouting commands to his team while you settle back into the bleachers, watching as they finish their drills. The tension of your confrontation with Aaron still lingers in your muscles, but the promise of dinner with Chan is enough to pull you out of that dark cloud. It's been a long time since you've felt excited about something like this.
True to his word, Chan wraps up practice in ten minutes, blowing the whistle to signal the end. The team groans, some stretching, others jogging in place, but they seem relieved. You spot Felix and Jisung laughing about something, both of them glancing over at you as Chan disappears into the locker room.
A few minutes later, Chan emerges, his wet hair slicked back, freshly showered and dressed in black cargo trousers and a black long-sleeved compression top that clings to his chest and arms in a way that doesn't go unnoticed. He glances around, scanning the field before his eyes land on you, sitting on the bleachers with your legs crossed, still sucking on what's left of the cherry lollipop from earlier.
Before he can say anything, Jisung shouts from the field, "Have her home by ten, Bang Chan!"
Felix jumps in, smirking as he cups his hands around his mouth. "Bring her back to the frat with you later because we're gonna gossip!"
Chan raises an eyebrow and shakes his head, walking toward you. "I will bring her back after the date," he says, loud enough for them to hear.
But Jisung, ever the loudmouth, shouts back, "Ten! Do you hear me? Ten, Bang Chan! I expect her delivered to Felix's room with a smile on her face!"
You roll your eyes and let out an exasperated laugh. "They're such children."
Chan reaches you, his lips curling into a smirk. "Ignore them. They're just jealous."
Chan wraps his arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer to his side as you both start walking toward the parking lot. His arm is warm and solid, and you lean into him, feeling a sense of comfort that you didn't expect. It's odd how natural it feels like this has been something building between the two of you for longer than either of you realized.
"So," Chan starts, his voice casual but curious, "you've been reading The Book Thief for what feels like the thousandth time. I think I've seen you with that book more than I've seen you without it."
You can't help but laugh at his observation. "It's literally my favourite book ever. And trust me, that's saying something. My apartment is basically a library. I have bookshelves in my living room that go wall to wall."
Chan's eyebrows raise in surprise, and he gives you a sideways glance. "Wall to wall bookshelves? Damn. I think the only books I've read are Harry Potter and The Hunger Games."
You gasp dramatically, pressing a hand to your chest in mock offence. "I can't believe you just confessed that to a literature major. It's like you've committed a cardinal sin."
He chuckles, shrugging as if it's no big deal, but the grin on his face shows that he's enjoying this little back-and-forth. "I mean, it's true! I've never been much of a reader, but I guess you could always try and convert me."
You roll your eyes, still smiling. "Maybe I will. But it's gonna take more than just Harry Potter and The Hunger Games to impress me."
"I'll take that as a challenge," he says with a wink, his arm squeezing your shoulder slightly as you both approach his car. Chan walks ahead a few steps and opens the passenger door for you, his grin widening when he sees the surprise on your face.
"Wow, a gentleman," you tease, sliding into the passenger seat. The car is nice—clean, with that subtle scent of vanilla air freshener lingering in the air.
Chan moves around to the driver's side, sliding into the seat next to you and starting the engine. "Well, I had to impress you somehow. Thought opening doors was a good start."
"Points for effort," you say, settling back into the seat and clicking your seatbelt into place. "So, where are we going, Captain?"
"There's this fifties-style diner about half an hour away," he explains as he pulls out of the parking lot. "They do this amazing cherry and white chocolate shake. It's kinda their speciality."
You raise an eyebrow, intrigued. "You really know how to win a girl's heart, don't you?"
He glances over at you briefly, grinning. "I try."
The drive is easy, the sky gradually shifting from a soft orange to deep shades of pink and purple as the sun starts to set. The radio hums quietly in the background, playing some old indie rock song you vaguely recognize, but most of your attention is on Chan.
The conversation flows effortlessly, as it always does with him. You talk about the team, about practice, and even about the antics of Felix and Jisung—who, of course, keep Chan on his toes both on and off the field.
After about thirty minutes, you finally arrive at the diner. It's straight out of the fifties with bright neon lights, red vinyl booths, and a giant jukebox in the corner playing classic hits. You've seen places like this in movies but never actually been to one.
"This place is perfect," you say as you slide out of the car, taking in the retro charm.
Chan walks beside you, a proud grin on his face. "I knew you'd like it. Wait until you try the food."
Once inside, the two of you decide to get your meals to go, opting to enjoy the rest of the evening somewhere a little quieter. You order a steak salad with a cherry and white chocolate milkshake and Chan orders a burger and fries, sticking with something classic.
As you wait for the food, Chan leans back against the counter, glancing at you with a mischievous smile. "So, steak salad, huh? I pegged you as more of a burger and fries girl."
You smirk, rolling your eyes. "Just because I'm friends with Felix and Jisung doesn't mean I have the same terrible eating habits as them."
"Oh, trust me, I know. Jisung's diet is 80% ramen and Red Bull."
"And Felix eats like... five different kinds of fried chicken in a single sitting," you add with a laugh. "I swear, that boy has a death wish."
The food arrives quickly, and with the bags in hand, you both head back to the car. Chan drives for another twenty minutes, taking a winding road that leads up to a hilltop just outside of town. The view is stunning, especially with the last sliver of the sunset dipping below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink, orange, and deep indigo.
Chan parks the car at the top of the hill, and the two of you hop out, climbing onto the hood to sit and eat. You settle in, opening your salad container and taking a bite as the cool evening breeze brushes against your skin.
"This is perfect," you murmur, looking out at the vast expanse of sky and the twinkling city lights below.
Chan nods in agreement, sipping his milkshake before glancing over at you. "So, tell me—what's so special about The Book Thief? I mean, I've seen you read it like a hundred times, but I've never asked you why you love it so much."
Your face lights up at the question, excitement bubbling in your chest as you set your salad aside for a moment. "Oh, where do I even start?"
He smiles, clearly enjoying your enthusiasm. "I'm listening."
You take a deep breath, thinking of the best way to explain it. "Well, The Book Thief is set in Nazi Germany during World War II, and it's narrated by Death, which is already such a unique perspective, right? The main character, Liesel, she's this young girl who loses everything, but she finds comfort in words, in books. The story is about how she uses books to survive, to make sense of a world that's falling apart around her."
Chan nods, listening intently as you continue, your voice growing more passionate.
"It's not just about the war or the books, though. It's about humanity. About kindness in the face of evil, about love and loss, and the way we find hope in the darkest times. The way it's written, it just... it makes you feel everything. You can't help but get attached to the characters, even though you know from the start that things aren't going to end well."
He raises an eyebrow. "So it's one of those books that breaks your heart?"
You laugh softly, nodding. "Pretty much. But it's worth it. Every time I read it, I find something new, something that hits me differently. It's one of the few book-to-movie adaptations that I actually enjoyed, too, which is rare for me."
Chan grins, taking another sip of his shake. "I might have to check it out now. You've definitely sold me on it."
You smile, feeling a warmth spread through your chest at the thought of him reading something you love so much. "If you do, let me know. I'd love to hear what you think."
The two of you finish your food, the conversation flowing easily as the sky darkens and the stars begin to appear. It's peaceful, sitting there on the hood of Chan's car, the city below twinkling like a sea of lights. There's something intimate about it, something that makes you feel closer to him in a way you hadn't expected.
Just as you're about to say something, you feel the first drop of rain hit your arm. You glance up, surprised to see dark clouds rolling in overhead. Before you can even react, the sky opens up, and rain starts pouring down in thick, heavy sheets.
You can't help it—you laugh. The sound bubbles out of you as you tip your head back, letting the rain soak your hair and drip down your face. It's cold, and you're getting absolutely drenched, but something about it feels freeing.
Chan, however, looks at you like you've lost your mind. "Y/N, you're gonna get sick."
You shake your head, grinning as the rain continues to pour. "What would Natasha Bedingfield say?"
He blinks at you, clearly confused. "Huh?"
You gasp dramatically, your hand flying to your chest. "Unwritten! Oh my god, Chan! Jisung and Felix are going to burn you at the stake for not understanding that reference."
Chan chuckles, wiping rain from his face as he tries to shield himself from the downpour. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry! But seriously, you're soaked to the bone, and your dress is, uh... well, it's kind of see-through now."
You glance down, noticing how your white dress clings to your body, the fabric almost translucent from the rain. You shrug, completely unbothered. "I've got a bra on, and I'm wearing hot pants under the dress. I'll survive."
Chan looks at you with a mixture of amusement and concern. "Yeah, but if you get sick right now, Jisung and Felix will never let me take you on another date."
You point at him, grinning. "Nicely played, Bang Chan. Nicely played."
He laughs, shaking his head as he pulls you off the hood of the car. "Come on, let's get out of the rain before you catch a cold."
You follow him, still laughing as the rain continues to pour, but you can't help but feel a little bit of warmth spreading through you despite the cold. There's something about the way Chan looks at you, something about the way this entire evening has played out, that makes you think this won't be the last time you end up drenched and laughing with him.
Once inside the car, Chan cranks the heat up, the warmth quickly filling the small space as you both sit there, soaked to the bone but smiling like idiots. He glances over at you, his eyes soft, and for a moment, the world outside fades away.
As soon as you settle into the passenger seat, you can't help but smile at how soaked you and Chan are. Rain still drips from your hair onto the seat, but the warmth from the car's heater slowly makes everything feel cosy despite your drenched clothes. Chan glances at you, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he runs a hand through his still-wet hair, pushing it back.
"Well, that wasn't how I imagined the night ending," he says, laughing softly. His voice is warm, and the way his lips curl into a grin sends a shiver through you—not from the cold, but something else.
You shake your head, chuckling. "What, getting caught in the rain wasn't part of your master plan?"
He grins. "I mean, I had something a little less... wet in mind."
You arch an eyebrow, smirking. "Oh? What was the plan, then?"
He shrugs as he starts the car. "I don't know... something about food, a nice drive back, maybe dropping you off without you looking like you've just walked through a storm."
You laugh, shaking your head at the thought. "Eh, I think the rain was a nice touch. Unpredictable."
As Chan pulls out of the diner's parking lot, you glance over at him, your fingers idly fiddling with the radio dial. You spin it to one of your favourite stations, hoping to hear something upbeat, something to keep this good mood going. The static clears, and suddenly, Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten fills the car.
You burst out laughing, your hand shooting up to point at the radio. "See! I told you! It's a sign!"
Chan glances over at you with an incredulous smile, shaking his head. "Seriously?"
You nod, eyes wide with mock seriousness. "Yes! This is the universe telling us to go back out there and dance in the rain. Unwritten, Chan. It's fate."
He snorts, rolling his eyes as he turns the wheel, keeping his focus on the road. "Fate or not, Jisung and Felix will actually kill me if you get sick."
You wave him off dismissively, flipping your hair dramatically as the music pumps through the speakers. "Oh, please. They'd get over it. Besides, they do stuff like this with me all the time."
Chan glances at you, eyebrow raised. "Do what?"
"When it rains, and we're at the frat house, we lie in the garden."
He nearly chokes on his laughter, glancing over at you in disbelief. "You what?!"
You nod, completely serious. "Yep. We go out there, rain pouring down, and just lie in the grass, soaking it all in."
Chan shakes his head, clearly trying to picture the three of you doing that. "You're telling me that you, Felix, and Jisung, who are literal balls of sunshine, just... lie in the rain like that?"
"Mmhmm," you hum, smiling. "People think we'd hibernate when it rains, but nah, we're out there."
"Wait," Chan says, eyes widening in realization. "That time when all three of you came down with the flu and you were sick for, like, two weeks...?"
"Yep!" You laugh, nodding enthusiastically. "That was because we were out in the rain a few days before. It was right after that hurricane warning."
Chan slaps his palm against the steering wheel, groaning. "You're insane. All three of you."
You grin, unrepentant. "Totally worth it."
He shakes his head again, his tone somewhere between disbelief and amusement. "You know Minho had to play nursemaid for you three, right?"
"Don't remind me," you groan, laughing as the memories of that miserable two weeks flood back. "Jisung's bed became our sick haven. Minho brought us soup and medicine, and Felix complained the whole time that the soup was too hot. It was a mess."
Chan laughs, shaking his head again. "I bet Minho loved every second of that."
"Minho lived for it," you admit with a grin. "He pretended to be annoyed, but you could tell he secretly loved bossing us around."
The rain has finally let up by the time you and Chan pull up to the Alpha Phi frat house, but both of you are still soaked to the bone, shivering as the cold seeps into your skin. The storm caught you both off guard, drenching you during what should've been a calm and picturesque evening on the hilltop. Even with the heater blasting in Chan's car, your teeth are still chattering, and Chan isn't doing much better.
Chan glances over at you as he pulls into a parking spot. His lips are tinted blue from the cold, his hair dripping water into his eyes. "You sure you're okay? You're shaking like a leaf."
You nod, though it's a half-hearted attempt at pretending you're not freezing. "I'm fine. I've had worse. Plus, it was kind of fun, right?"
He chuckles, his deep voice making you feel warmer than the heat blasting through the vents. "Yeah, I guess it was." He turns the key in the ignition, killing the engine. "But maybe next time, we should pick somewhere indoors for dinner."
You smirk, teasing him. "Oh, what, are you scared of a little rain?"
He grins, shrugging. "I'm not scared, but I'd rather avoid hypothermia if possible. Plus, I'm gonna catch hell from Felix and Jisung if they see you like this."
"They'll live," you say with a laugh, unbuckling your seatbelt. "Besides, I've been soaked in the rain plenty of times before."
Chan raises an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes. "Yeah, but I'm betting none of those times involved a fifties diner date with me."
You can't help the smile that spreads across your face. "Fair point."
As you both climb out of the car, the cold night air hits you again, and you shiver, crossing your arms over your chest. Chan jogs over to your side and wraps his arm around your shoulders, pulling you close to his side as you both make your way toward the frat house entrance.
"You know," he says, his voice light as you walk, "I was thinking... would you want to go out again next week? Like, for dinner, maybe somewhere less rainy."
You glance up at him, surprised at how casual and confident he sounds, despite the shiver in his voice from the cold. His dark eyes are warm, even in the dim light from the porch. "I'd love that," you say, then grin playfully. "But I don't mind the rain."
He laughs, squeezing your shoulder as you reach the front door. "Duly noted. But I'll still try to find somewhere dry next time."
When you step inside the frat house, the warmth hits you like a wave, and it's a welcome change from the cold rain outside. The sound of voices fills the air—music is playing faintly in the background, and you can hear someone laughing loudly from the living room. The house is busy, as usual, but the moment you and Chan step through the door, all eyes seem to turn to you.
Felix and Jisung, who had been lounging on the couch in front of the TV, immediately leap up when they see you both. Felix's blonde hair bounces as he rushes over, and Jisung follows close behind, both of them wearing matching expressions of horror.
"Holy shit, Y/N, what the hell happened to you?!" Felix exclaims, eyes wide as he takes in your drenched appearance.
"You look like a fucking drowned rat!" Jisung adds, though his concern is clear despite the teasing.
Before you can respond, Chan lets out a small, sheepish laugh. "Yeah, we, uh, got caught in the rain."
Felix grabs a towel from a nearby chair and drapes it over your shoulders, his hands working quickly to pat you dry. "Caught in the rain? You look like you've been swimming in the fucking ocean, mate!"
Jisung, never one to miss a beat, starts wringing out your hair, water dripping onto the floor as he works. "This is unacceptable. Upstairs. Now. Felix's room. You need to dry off before you catch something."
Felix nods in agreement, already ushering you toward the staircase. "Chan, you're staying downstairs. We need to gossip in peace."
You glance back at Chan, who's trying—and failing—to hide his amusement. He shrugs, holding his hands up in surrender. "Fine, fine. I'll stay down here."
Jisung shoots him a mock glare. "I can't believe you brought her back soaked to the bone. What kind of date is this?"
Chan laughs, running a hand through his wet hair. "Hey, it wasn't my fault. The weather turned on us."
Felix huffs, shaking his head. "Excuses, excuses. Come on, Y/N. You're coming upstairs before you freeze."
Felix is already ahead of you, grabbing another towel from somewhere and practically shoving it into your hands. "Chan can stay downstairs and think about how he fucked up," he mutters.
You glance back at Chan, who's leaning against the doorframe with a sheepish grin, clearly amused by Felix and Jisung's antics. "Sorry, Y/N," he calls out, laughing as he raises his hands in surrender. "I'll just... wait down here."
"You better!" Felix yells over his shoulder as he marches up the stairs. "No more soaking wet dates until you learn how to control the weather!"
Jisung snickers, practically dragging you up the staircase. "Honestly, you'd think he'd check the forecast."
You roll your eyes, laughing at the absurdity of it all as you're pulled into the chaos that is Felix's room. It's a cosy space, there's a large desk cluttered with gaming gear and an impressive gaming chair, which you've stolen for yourself more times than you can count during impromptu hangouts.
Jisung shoves you into the chair before throwing a towel over your head, his hands immediately going to work on drying your hair with a little too much enthusiasm. You can't even see him, but you can hear his voice as he fusses over you. "You're lucky we're here. Who knows what kind of shit Chan would've done if we hadn't intervened."
"Yeah," Felix chimes in, digging through his drawer for what looks like some socks. "You probably would've caught pneumonia or something. He's hopeless when it comes to romance."
"Hey," you protest weakly from under the towel, voice muffled by the fabric. "The rain wasn't that bad."
Felix shoots you a look, one eyebrow raised in disbelief. "You're dripping water all over my floor, Y/N. It was bad."
Before you can respond, the door opens, and Jeongin steps into the room holding a steaming mug of hot chocolate. "Chan made this for you, but these two"—he gestures toward Felix and Jisung with his thumb—"told him to stay downstairs, so he asked me to bring it up."
You pull the towel off your head just enough to peek at Jeongin and the mug, your heart doing a little flutter at the thought of Chan making hot chocolate for you. It's a simple gesture, but something about it feels sweet and personal. "Thanks, Jeongin," you say, reaching for the mug.
Jeongin grins, sliding the cup into your hands. "No problem. You're gonna need it if you're hanging out with these two lunatics."
"Hey!" Jisung protests, still aggressively towelling your hair dry. "We're being responsible friends. We're making sure she doesn't freeze to death after being out in the rain with a guy who clearly doesn't own an umbrella."
Felix rolls his eyes, but there's a smile on his lips. "Yeah, yeah. Did you guys kiss, though?"
You nearly choke on your first sip of hot chocolate, but you manage to swallow before raising an eyebrow at Felix. "Excuse me?"
Felix's grin is wide and cheeky, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Come on, spill. You went on a cute little date in the rain, and now you're back here all flustered. Did you kiss him?"
You take another sip of the hot chocolate, letting the warmth fill you as you shake your head. "No, not yet, unfortunately."
Felix and Jisung both stare at you, wide-eyed with anticipation after you reveal there was no kiss. The tension hangs in the air for a moment, and then Jisung throws his arms up in mock frustration, pacing dramatically in front of Felix's bed.
"No kiss?" he exclaims, sounding both horrified and baffled. "We sent you off into the rain with Captain fucking Bang Chan and you didn't even get a kiss? This is unacceptable. Felix, write that down."
Felix, ever the sidekick to Jisung's antics, pulls out a small notepad from the drawer of his desk and flips it open with a flourish. He grabs a pen and clicks it, poised to start scribbling. "What am I writing?"
Jisung, his eyes narrowing with exaggerated seriousness, points at you like a detective uncovering a conspiracy. "We need to make a list. A list of requirements and expectations that Chan must meet before he even thinks about asking her on another date."
You laugh, pulling the towel around you tighter. "Are you serious right now?"
Jisung snatches the comb from Felix's vanity and gives you a sharp look. "Now sit back and relax, princess," he says, his voice dripping with mock authority. "I'm about to give you the best hair care of your life."
You roll your eyes but settle into Felix's gaming chair, leaning back as you let Jisung gently work through the knots in your hair. Despite the aggressive energy he usually radiates, his hands are surprisingly gentle, carefully detangling each knot without pulling too hard. It's almost... soothing, in a weird way.
Felix, sitting cross-legged on his bed, notebook poised on his lap, taps his pen against the notepad like a man possessed. "Right, where were we?" he asks, a grin pulling at his lips. "Oh yeah, making sure Captain Bang Chan lives up to our best friend's standards."
You give them both a playful glare. "You two are way too invested in my love life."
"We're not invested," Jisung says, pausing to rake the comb through your hair again. "We're protective. There's a difference. Now, let's get back to this list of demands. You deserve only the best, so it's our job to filter out the subpar dudes."
Felix nods solemnly, clicking the pen. "Agreed. If Chan doesn't meet these standards, we'll end this for you before it even begins."
You snort, leaning back into the chair. "You're both absolutely insane."
"Insane, but right," Jisung insists, giving your hair a soft tug for emphasis. "And trust me, you'll thank us for this later."
Felix's eyes gleam with mischief as he starts writing. "Alright, first of all—Chan needs to know everything about The Book Thief. Characters, themes, hidden meanings. He better be able to have in-depth discussions with you about the book at any time. If he can't do that, then what's the point?"
You chuckle, feeling the tension in your shoulders ease as Jisung works the comb through your hair. "You two really think I need to date a literature major?"
"No," Felix replies, shaking his head. "But if he's going to date you, he better know the basics. He should at least be able to have a conversation about your favourite book without embarrassing himself."
Jisung nods in agreement, still combing. "Exactly. This is crucial. Next up—Chan must proofread your creative writing assignments for your minor if you ask him to. I know you, Y/N. You obsess over every little detail in your work. Chan's gotta step up and help with that."
You burst out laughing. "He's not even a lit major! How do you expect him to help me with my writing?"
"Doesn't matter," Felix says, scribbling furiously in his notepad. "He's smart, isn't he? He can read and give feedback. That's part of being a supportive boyfriend."
Jisung hums thoughtfully, gently untangling another knot. "And let's not forget the most important rule. Chan must always carry cherry lollipops. No exceptions. That's your thing, Y/N, and if he doesn't have at least one on him at all times, he's out."
Felix smirks, adding that to the list. "Definitely. You've got a brand, and he needs to respect that. Cherry lollipops are non-negotiable."
"You two are ridiculous," you say with a smile, shaking your head as Jisung continues combing through your now smooth hair.
"We're just getting started," Jisung replies with a grin. "Let's see... Oh! He must memorize your coffee order. If he can't order it perfectly, he's done."
Felix nods enthusiastically, jotting it down. "And he has to be able to tell when you're having a bad day just by looking at you. No asking. He should know instinctively."
Jisung leans over your shoulder, inspecting Felix's list. "Don't forget, he must also be willing to go to the bookstore with you and carry all your books. If he complains even once, he fails."
You laugh out loud at that one, swatting at Jisung's hand. "Oh come on, that's a bit much!"
"No, it's not," Felix insists, wagging his pen. "It's bare minimum boyfriend behaviour. He needs to support your reading addiction."
Jisung grins. "He should also randomly surprise you with books. No special occasion necessary just because he knows it'll make you smile."
Felix writes that one down too, adding, "And he needs to know your taste in literature inside and out. If he buys you a book you hate, that's a big red flag."
You groan, but you're still smiling. "How are you two even coming up with all of this?"
"It's easy," Jisung replies as he finishes with your hair, setting the comb down on Felix's vanity. "We just know you really well, so we know what you deserve."
Once Felix and Jisung are done crafting the list of increasingly ridiculous standards, Jisung leans back in Felix's gaming chair, admiring their handiwork with a gleam in his eye. "Alright, now we're going to make sure Chan actually agrees to this."
Felix nods, slapping the notepad with a grin. "But wait! We're missing something. Before he can even sign the list, we need to create The Felix and Jisung Best Friend Test."
You pause, mid-sip of your hot chocolate, raising an eyebrow. "The fucking what now?"
Jisung jumps out of his chair like he's struck with divine inspiration. "It's the ultimate screening test. Before Chan can officially date you, Felix and I need to make sure he's worthy of our approval."
Felix grins devilishly, clearly in full agreement. "Exactly. We'll come up with a set of questions that he has to answer. If he passes, then he's worthy of dating you. If he fails..." He lets his voice trail off dramatically.
Jisung crosses his arms and nods solemnly. "Then it's a no-go."
You stare at both of them, half-amused, half-exasperated. "You two are so full of shit."
"We're not full of shit," Felix says, his voice overly serious. "We're just looking out for you. This is important. We have to protect you from subpar boyfriends."
"Yeah," Jisung adds, already pulling out a fresh sheet of paper to write the test questions. "You don't want to end up with some guy who doesn't even know your favourite book or messes up your coffee order."
You groan though you can't help but smile. "Alright, fine. Let's hear these 'test' questions."
Jisung taps the pen against his chin thoughtfully. "First question: 'What are your intentions with our sweet Y/N?' Gotta make sure he's in it for the right reasons."
Felix scribbles it down with a smirk. "Good one. If he hesitates, it's an automatic fail."
Jisung nods. "Next question: 'Why didn't you kiss her on the first date? Is she not good enough for you? What's wrong with you?'"
You nearly choke on your laughter, shaking your head. "Oh my god, you're seriously going to ask him that?"
"Absolutely," Jisung says, grinning. "We need answers."
Felix adds, "And it's important. If there's no kiss on the first date, we need to know why."
Jisung leans over Felix's shoulder, reading the list as he adds more questions. "How about this one: 'What are you going to do if Y/N gets kidnapped? How are you helping Felix and me get her back from the heathens?'"
Felix cracks up, his pen still moving. "Yes! And we're expecting a detailed answer. None of that 'I'll call the cops' bullshit. We need action, a full-on rescue plan."
You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose but still smiling. "You guys are fucking ridiculous."
"And yet, you love us for it," Jisung says with a cheeky grin. "Alright, next question... What's a question that'll really throw him off?"
Felix taps his pen thoughtfully. "How about... 'If Y/N wanted to adopt a pet raccoon, what would your reaction be?'"
Jisung snorts, grinning wildly. "Perfect. That'll tell us if he's capable of handling your weirdness."
You burst out laughing. "I don't want a pet raccoon!"
"Yeah, but hypothetically, what if you did?" Jisung replies, shrugging. "It's a test of his adaptability. Gotta see if he can roll with the punches."
"Okay, next one," Felix says, his voice slightly muffled as he scribbles away. "'If Y/N comes home with ten books, what's your reaction?'"
Jisung grins. "And if he says anything other than 'I'll help carry them,' he's done."
The two of them continue brainstorming ridiculous questions while you lean back in the gaming chair, amused and baffled by their dedication. After a few more minutes, they finally stop, looking at the list like they've just created a masterpiece.
"Alright," Jisung says, holding up the notebook triumphantly. "The Felix and Jisung Best Friend Test is complete. Let's go find Chan."
You roll your eyes, but there's no stopping them now. You stand up and follow them downstairs to the living room, where the rest of the guys are lounging around. Minho and Jeongin are sprawled on the couch, while Hyunjin and Seungmin are half-heartedly watching something on TV.
As you walk in, Minho raises an eyebrow, glancing at you and then at Felix and Jisung, who are clearly on a mission. "What's this all about?"
Before you can answer, Jeongin scoots over, making room for you on the couch. You sit between him and Minho, and they both immediately pull you into their warmth. Minho wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. "You're freezing," he mutters, his voice low and concerned. "Did Felix and Jisung not take care of you upstairs?"
Jeongin grabs your hands, rubbing them between his to warm them up. "Yeah, you're still cold. You need to warm up properly."
You smile at their concern, feeling the warmth from their bodies seep into your skin. "I'm fine, really. You two are just acting like overprotective brothers now."
Minho snorts. "Someone has to look out for you."
Before you can say anything else, Jisung suddenly dims the lights, casting the room into a shadowy glow. Felix stands near the light switch, his face serious. "Alright, everyone. We're about to interrogate Chan."
Chan, sitting comfortably in the armchair, looks up in surprise, his brows furrowing. "Uh... what?"
Jisung steps forward, pulling out his phone and turning on the flashlight, shining it directly into Chan's face. "You heard us, Bang Chan. You're about to take The Felix and Jisung Best Friend Test."
Chan blinks, momentarily blinded by the light. "Wait, what?"
Felix steps forward with the notepad, his voice dripping with authority. "This is a screening process. If you pass, you're allowed to date Y/N. If you fail, well... let's just say you'll have some explaining to do."
You groan, burying your face in your hands. "I can't believe this is happening."
But Chan just laughs, leaning back in the armchair and crossing his arms. "Alright, let's hear it. What's this test?"
Jisung clears his throat dramatically as if this is a matter of utmost importance. "First question: What are your intentions with our sweet Y/N?"
Chan looks amused but answers seriously. "My intentions are to take her on nice dates, make her smile, and get to know her better."
Felix narrows his eyes, scribbling something in his notepad. "Good answer. Next question: Why didn't you kiss her on the first date? Is she not good enough? What's wrong with you?"
Chan laughs, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, the timing didn't feel right. I didn't want to rush it."
Jisung leans forward, still holding the phone flashlight up. "You sure it wasn't because you don't find her attractive?"
Chan's face softens as he looks at you. "Definitely not. I just didn't want to ruin a good night by moving too fast."
Felix jots down some more notes, looking satisfied. "Okay, next question. What are you going to do if Y/N gets kidnapped? How are you helping Jisung and me get her back from the heathens?"
Chan raises an eyebrow, clearly trying not to laugh. "Uh... first, I'd call you two to let you know what's happening. Then I'd help track her down, using my connections and resources. I'll be the one to take down the kidnappers."
Jisung nods approvingly. "Good, good. We need someone who's willing to get their hands dirty."
Felix continues, his tone completely serious. "Alright, here's a tricky one. If Y/N wanted to adopt a pet raccoon, what would your reaction be?"
Chan chuckles, leaning forward slightly. "If Y/N wanted a pet raccoon, I'd probably try to talk her into getting something a little less... wild. But if she really wanted it, I'd help her take care of it."
Jisung grins. "Good. Adaptability. Nice."
Felix glances at the list, nodding to himself before moving on. "Alright, final question. If Y/N comes home with ten books, what's your reaction?"
Chan doesn't even hesitate. "I'd help her carry them, no questions asked."
Felix and Jisung exchange a glance, clearly impressed with Chan's answers. Felix gives a satisfied nod. "Alright, Chan. You passed the test."
Jisung shuts off the flashlight and steps back. "You're not out of the woods yet, though."
Felix pulls out the list of ridiculous standards they'd created earlier and clears his throat. "Now, we have a list of standards that you need to agree to if you're going to date Y/N."
Chan raises an eyebrow, leaning back in the armchair. "Standards?"
Jisung smirks, grabbing the notepad from Felix and reading aloud. "First: You must know everything about The Book Thief, characters, themes, quotes, everything. Y/N needs to be able to discuss it with you at any time."
Chan chuckles, nodding. "Alright, I can do that."
"Second," Felix continues, his tone serious. "You must proofread her creative writing assignments if she asks. No complaints."
Chan nods again. "Deal."
"Third," Jisung adds, his grin growing wider. "You must always carry cherry lollipops. No exceptions. If Y/N asks for one and you don't have it, you're done."
Chan laughs, clearly enjoying the absurdity of the situation. "Got it. I'll stock up."
Felix flips to the next page, continuing the list. "You also need to memorize her coffee order perfectly, be willing to go to the bookstore with her, and carry all her books without complaint."
Jisung adds, "Oh, and you need to surprise her with books every now and then. No special occasion necessary."
Chan grins, shaking his head. "That actually sounds fun. I'm in."
"And last but not least," Felix says, looking at the final line on the list, "you need to be able to tell when Y/N's having a bad day just by looking at her. No asking. You should know instinctively."
Chan looks thoughtful for a moment, then nods. "I think I can manage that."
Jisung hands him a pen, a triumphant grin on his face. "These are non-negotiable, Chan. You are to sign this list and commit to these standards."
Chan takes the pen, still smiling, and signs the bottom of the list with a flourish. "There. Happy?"
Felix and Jisung exchange satisfied nods, clearly pleased with themselves. "Very," Felix says, tucking the list into his back pocket. "You've officially earned our approval."
You can't help but laugh at the entire situation, shaking your head. "You guys are unbelievable."
Minho, who's been watching the entire exchange with an amused smirk, tightens his arm around your shoulders and leans in. "I'm surprised Chan actually put up with all of that."
Chan shrugs, standing up from the armchair. "It was worth it."
Jeongin, still holding your hands, grins. "Well, I think this means we can officially welcome you into the family, Chan."
Chan gives a mock salute. "Glad to be here."

It's game day, and the energy on campus is absolutely electric. The Miroh Maniacs are playing their biggest rivals—the Northridge Titans—and you're, as always, exactly where you belong: on the players' bench, close to the action.
The sun is high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the packed bleachers. Fans are screaming, faces painted red and black in support of the Maniacs, and you're sitting in the middle of the chaos, completely calm, once again flipping through your worn copy of The Book Thief.
Your red summer dress flutters lightly in the breeze, contrasting against the bright green of the football field. The black wedges on your feet sink slightly into the grass, and your signature red heart-shaped sunglasses sit perched on your nose. You cross your legs, turning another page, your focus entirely on the book. It's comforting, especially amidst the madness of game day.
The Maniacs' jerseys stand out against the green—Chan with his number 03, Minho wearing 25, Felix sporting 01, and the rest of the team spread across the field. Their black and red uniforms gleam in the sunlight, and the tension in the air is thick.
It's always like this when they play the Titans. These games are intense, brutal, even. You've seen more dirty plays and borderline illegal tackles during these matches than you care to admit.
Today is no different. From the moment the game kicks off, the Titans come at the Maniacs full force. You can hear the crack of helmets and the heavy thud of bodies slamming into each other, the crowd roaring in response to every hit. The referee's whistle cuts through the noise, but it doesn't stop the Titans from playing dirty.
You catch sight of Felix getting shoved to the ground by one of their linebackers, a dirty move that earns him nothing but a smirk from the Titans' player. Jisung's quick to step in, shoving the guy back before the referees can even intervene.
"Fucking Titans," Jisung mutters, glancing toward you as he returns to the field. You give him a supportive smile from your spot on the bench, watching as he lines up again. He's always one to defend his teammates, especially Felix.
As the game goes on, you try to stay focused on your book, but it's hard not to be distracted by the intensity of the match. You glance up every now and then, watching as Chan barrels through the Titans' defensive line, Minho weaving through the chaos with his usual precision. Changbin's a wrecking ball, slamming into players with no hesitation, while Hyunjin and Jeongin dart across the field like lightning.
You can feel the pressure building with every second that ticks by, especially as the Titans continue to play dirty. By the time halftime rolls around, the score is close, too close for comfort. The Maniacs jog off the field, sweat dripping down their faces, some of them muttering curses under their breath about the Titans' underhanded tactics.
As they head to the locker room, you settle deeper into your seat, trying to focus back on your book. You're mid-sentence when you suddenly feel a presence nearby, someone standing too close. You glance up, annoyed at the interruption, only to see a guy from the rival team standing right in front of you. He's got the Titans' logo plastered across his jersey, and the look on his face immediately sets you on edge.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" he says, his voice dripping with sleaze. His eyes rake over you, lingering in ways that make your skin crawl. "Didn't think a pretty little thing like you would be hanging around with those losers."
You ignore him, hoping he'll get the hint and leave. You flip the page in your book, acting like you haven't even noticed him. But of course, guys like him don't take hints.
"Hey, sweetheart, I'm talking to you," he presses, stepping even closer. You can smell the cheap cologne and sweat on him. "You waiting for one of those fuckers on the Maniacs? Why don't you come watch the real men play instead? I could show you a better time."
You grit your teeth, doing your best to tune him out. You've dealt with assholes like this before—guys who think they can say whatever they want because they're on some team. It's not worth engaging. But he's not done. He leans in closer, his voice lowering as he continues his vulgar comments.
"You know, a girl like you shouldn't be wasting time on a bunch of losers like them. I could make you feel good, babe. Real good. Just say the word."
Your fingers tighten around the book, every fibre of your being screaming to shove him away, but you hold back. He's not worth your energy. You stay silent, eyes glued to the page.
"Oh, come on. What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" he taunts, leaning over you now. "You're not gonna say no to a guy like me, are you?"
And then, just like that, he reaches down and snatches your book out of your hands. You feel your stomach drop as he holds it above his head, grinning like he's accomplished something.
"Reading, huh? What a waste of time. Why don't you come have some fun with me instead? I promise it'll be better than this boring shit."
You stand up, crossing your arms over your chest, glaring at him with a look that could burn a hole through steel. "Give it back."
The guy just smirks, holding the book even higher above his head. "Oh, I'll give it back when you ask nicely. Maybe throw in a little thank you while you're at it."
Before you can even respond, someone from behind shouts, "OI!"
The guy freezes, and you turn to see Chan storming over, the rest of the team flanking him like a wall of muscle and fury. His eyes are locked on the guy holding your book, his jaw clenched tight, and there's murder in his expression.
Without missing a beat, Chan wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you close and pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You lean into his side, your heart pounding, but the tension starts to melt away with him there. Felix and Jisung are already stepping up, both of them glaring at the guy.
"You've got three fucking seconds to give her the book back," Felix growls, his usually bright and playful demeanour nowhere to be seen.
Jisung steps forward, fists clenched. "Or we'll make sure you won't be able to hold anything for a long fucking time."
The guy falters, glancing nervously between them, but he tries to play it off. "Relax, I was just having a little fun. No need to get all worked up."
Changbin, looking like he's seconds away from throwing the guy into the bleachers, steps up beside Felix. "Give her the fucking book. Now."
Minho crosses his arms, his gaze icy. "Before we decide to make sure you never play another game again."
The guy's bravado cracks, and he lowers the book slightly, trying to keep what little dignity he has left. "Whatever," he mutters, tossing the book toward you. "She's fucking ugly anyway."
Before anyone can react, Jisung lunges. He tackles the guy to the ground with a force that knocks the breath out of everyone watching. The rival player barely has time to register what's happening before Jisung's fists are flying, rage clear in every strike.
You feel Chan's grip tighten on you as he pulls you back, keeping you close. "Stay with me," he murmurs into your ear, his voice low and protective. You lean into him, still trying to process everything as Jeongin and Hyunjin rush over, pulling Jisung off the guy before things get out of hand.
"Enough, Han!" Hyunjin shouts, dragging Jisung back. "He's not worth it."
Jisung struggles for a second, but eventually calms down, breathing heavily as he glares at the guy on the ground. "Don't you fucking dare talk about her like that again."
The guy scrambles to his feet, muttering curses under his breath as he stumbles away, clearly shaken.
Felix steps forward, placing a hand on Jisung's shoulder. "Let him go, man. He's not worth it."
You finally exhale, the tension in your chest easing slightly as the situation defuses. You're still leaning against Chan, his arm wrapped securely around you, and you glance up at him. He's watching the guy walk away, his jaw still tight, but when he looks down at you, his expression softens.
"You okay?" he asks, his voice gentle.
You nod, though your heart is still racing. "Yeah. Thanks for that."
He smiles, pressing another kiss to your forehead. "Always."
The second half of the game kicks off with a surge of intensity that practically crackles in the air. The crowd is louder than ever, chanting and cheering as the Maniacs and Titans line up on the field. You can feel the tension pulsing through the stadium, but all you can think about is the smirk that guy had on his face and how Jisung tackled him to the ground.
You catch Chan's eye as he gets into position, his jaw tight, eyes focused like a predator stalking prey. He's locked in now, and it's obvious who he's targeting.
The moment the whistle blows, Chan charges forward with a level of ferocity you've only seen in games against the Titans. He barrels through the opposing players like a tank, zeroing in on the guy who had the audacity to mess with you.
There's no hesitation, no mercy in his movements. Chan slams into him hard, sending the player sprawling onto the field with a heavy thud. The crowd erupts, half in awe, half in shock, but you just smirk, knowing this is personal for Chan.
From the bench, you and Jisung watch with amused satisfaction. Jisung's been benched for his earlier outburst but he's not bothered. In fact, he's enjoying every second of watching Chan wreck that guy's shit.
"Damn, Chan's out for blood," Jisung mutters, leaning back on the bench as he watches the game with a grin. "That guy's going to feel those hits tomorrow."
You chuckle, flipping through your book even though the game keeps pulling your attention. "I don't feel bad for him. He had it coming."
Jisung nods, watching as Chan lines up for the next play, eyes narrowed on his target. "Oh, for sure. That dude's lucky Chan's not actually trying to break bones."
Another whistle and the play starts again. Chan doesn't miss a beat, taking down the same guy with ruthless efficiency. It's like watching a lion pick off the weakest in the herd. Each tackle is harder than the last, and each time the guy gets up, he's a little slower, a little more shaken.
Jisung laughs, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. "You know, Chan really likes you."
You pause, pretending to still be engrossed in The Book Thief even though the words are starting to blur from how fast your heart is beating. "Yeah, I know. He was really sweet on our date."
Jisung raises an eyebrow. "Sweet, huh? Is that why you didn't kiss?"
You roll your eyes, shifting in your seat. "I don't know. I just wish he would've kissed me. I mean, he was perfect the whole night, but..."
Jisung snorts, shaking his head. "He's waiting for the right moment, that dork. It's Chan. He overthinks everything."
"He's sweet," you say with a small smile, glancing over at the field as Chan flattens the guy again. "But yeah, he could be a little bolder."
Jisung chuckles, leaning back and crossing his arms. "He's a huge step up from the losers you usually date, though."
You give him a side-eye but can't help but laugh. "Thanks, Ji. Real subtle."
Jisung grins. "Just saying. Chan's actually a good guy. He treats you right, and he's obviously willing to tackle anyone who looks at you the wrong way."
You smirk, watching as the game progresses with Chan's relentless assault on the guy who'd tried to mess with you. The Titans are starting to look rattled, their dirty tactics failing as the Maniacs pick up momentum. Every time Chan hits the guy, you and Jisung share a glance, unable to hide your amusement.
"God, he's just laying him out over and over," Jisung laughs, shaking his head. "I almost feel bad for the guy. Almost."
You lean back, crossing your legs and finally closing your book, realizing you're too distracted to read. "He deserves it."
"Damn right he does," Jisung mutters, eyes flicking back to the field. "And Chan? He's doing it for you. You see how hard he's going?"
Your chest flutters a little, watching Chan as he commands the field, each hit more powerful than the last. Yeah, you've noticed. He's not just playing for the team right now. He's playing for you.
The final whistle blows, and the Maniacs emerge victorious with a hard-fought win. The stands erupt into wild cheers, red and black confetti raining down as fans jump to their feet. The Maniacs' players are high-fiving and clapping each other on the back, but your eyes are locked on Chan as he jogs off the field, eyes immediately searching for you.
Felix, Minho, and the rest of the team are basking in the victory, but Chan's focus is entirely on you. As he gets closer, you can see the adrenaline still pumping through his veins, his chest rising and falling with each breath. His hair is damp with sweat, his jersey streaked with dirt, but he's never looked better.
He doesn't stop when he reaches you. Instead, he hooks his arm around your waist, pulling you up from the bench in one fluid motion before pressing his lips to yours. It's not gentle, not soft like you might've imagined for a first kiss. It's fierce, fueled by the high of victory and the raw emotion from earlier. But it's perfect.
The second his lips meet yours, the world seems to blur. The roar of the crowd fades into the background, and for a moment, it's just you and Chan. You kiss him back, wrapping your arms around his neck as he lifts you slightly off the ground. You can feel the strength in his arms, the heat radiating from his body, and the way his lips move against yours is enough to make your head spin.
Around you, the entire football team erupts into cheers and whistles, but you don't care. You and Chan are locked in your own little world. His grip tightens on your waist, pulling you even closer as his lips move against yours with a kind of urgency that takes your breath away.
When you finally pull apart, both of you are breathless, and Chan presses his forehead against yours, his smile wide and genuine.
"Took you long enough," you tease, your heart racing.
He laughs, his eyes sparkling with that boyish charm that always gets to you. "Sorry, I guess I was waiting for the right moment."
You chuckle, still feeling the warmth of his lips lingering on yours. "Well, I think this qualifies."
"Damn right it does," Jisung calls from the sidelines, still sitting on the bench. He's grinning from ear to ear, and Felix is right beside him, laughing. The entire team is watching now, most of them whistling or clapping, and you roll your eyes at their over-the-top reactions.
Chan sets you back down, his arm still wrapped around your waist as he turns to face the team, his grin widening. "Alright, alright. Get your laughs in now."
Felix smirks, clapping his hands. "I knew it! I fucking knew it was gonna happen today. Took you long enough, mate."
Minho, ever the smug one, crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow. "Not bad, Bang Chan. Not bad at all. But we all knew it was coming."
You roll your eyes, leaning into Chan's side as the team continues to tease. Jeongin comes up and claps Chan on the back, grinning. "Finally, man. We were starting to think you'd never make a move."
Chan chuckles, tightening his arm around you. "Yeah, well... figured I'd save the kiss for after a win."
Jisung, still lounging on the bench, raises an eyebrow. "You're just lucky you didn't fuck it up. If you waited any longer, Y/N might've made the first move."
You smirk, looking up at Chan. "He's not wrong."
Chan laughs, leaning down to press a quick kiss to your temple. "Guess I'll have to make sure I'm quicker next time."
The rest of the team hoots and hollers, clearly enjoying the moment. Even Hyunjin, who's usually more composed, is grinning like an idiot. Seungmin shakes his head, trying to suppress a laugh. "I'm just glad we finally got that over with. It was painful watching you two dance around each other."
Felix claps his hands together, a wicked grin on his face. "Alright, next step is Chan officially joining the 'Best Friends Approved Boyfriend' club. Y/N's got some standards, and we need to make sure he's up to the task."
Chan groans, shooting Felix a look. "I already signed the damn list. What more do you want from me?"
You laugh, shaking your head as Felix continues to tease. "We'll let you off the hook for now, Captain," you say, giving him a playful nudge. "But only because you did good today."
Chan grins down at you, his eyes softening. "Thanks. That means a lot, coming from you."
As the team slowly starts to head toward the locker rooms, you and Chan linger for a moment longer, basking in the aftermath of the game and the kiss that's still fresh on your lips. The sun is beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the field, and for a moment, everything feels perfect.
Chan pulls you closer, his voice low as he leans in. "So, what do you say we go out tonight? Celebrate the win... and the kiss?"
You smile, your heart fluttering at the thought. "I'd like that."
He grins, pressing one last kiss to your forehead before leading you toward the locker rooms. The Maniacs may have won the game, but in this moment, it feels like you and Chan are the real victors.

Tumblr media
Performing with your band like usual, the crowds shouting fanchants and you can, like always, hear the faint sound of people screaming your name. Who could blame them? You are one of the hottest idols in the industry.
You laughed mentally at your own egoistic thoughts, you believed everything except that. You were attractive, sure, but a lot of stays and people who biased you put you on a pedestal in your opinion.
As the music in your earpiece ended, signaling the close end of the concert, you felt a sudden heatwave on your body. Sweat, more than usual anyway, dripped down your leather outfit, you took the chance and grabbed the hem of your shirt and used it to wipe the droplets of sweat off your forehead, panting lively.
In that moment, you heard the faint sound of fans grow into something extreme, hints of "woah" and "damn" crawling in your ear aswell. You were a bit confused, did someone do something? Then you saw the looks your members were giving you. Oh.
Oh.
You chuckled, it going loud from the headset microphone you all wore, making the screams only worse. "Yes, yes, a man has abs and it's the end of the world." You joked, your charming voice sending fans into a state of swoon, and if possible, making them scream even louder.
"If it's you, then yeah" Changbin said into the microphone, making the fans squeal since you two were shipped a lot because fans can't stand idols being friends (you guys literally almost kissed once).
You laughed at him, hitting his shoulder lightly as a joke as your maknae, I.N. went up to you and hit your stomach. "Ouch!" You winced, hitting the younger male back as he laughed, complimenting your strong figure.
Minho then walked up, pulling your shirt and revealing the abs once more, the squeals that were finally dying down from your fans then grew in a wave of excitement from the move. "I never knew you worked out." He said quietly into the mic.
Though all your members gushed over your figure, the only person that you had your eyes on was Bang Chan, your leader, who was so fucking hot to you. I mean, who you thought was a great producer with very amazing humor, who just was attractive to you sometimes. Gosh, especially with his blonde luxurious curly ha-
"N/N, let's work out together sometime." He said to you, snapping you out of your very appropriate train of thoughts. You nodded, happily dreaming about the idea.
In Bang Chan's mind, he was fuming with jealousy. He wanted to rub his hands all over your abs just like his other members did, but that was just too out of character for Channie. He sighed, quietly, as he dealt with only touching your shoulders and subtly tracing the blades of them, making you chuckle.
You adjusted your microphone so your words wouldn't blast in the speakers, whispering in his ear with a mouth over your lips, so no magical lip- reader could expose you.
"Don't worry, you can touch me later, I can sense your grumpiness from here, Channie." The words placed a smile on his face.
He slapped your head teasingly, rubbing your hair as the fumes from earlier calmed down. After all, the other members could touch you and rub you all they like,
But he'll always be the one you'll dream about.

Hello again, love. I finally thought of something (sub bangchan x top male reader). The reader is a member of the group
So basically, the reader had just gotten the dorms after practicing a dance and is sweaty but isn't tried
When he walked into the dorms, he tried to get in quietly, thinking everyone was asleep but behold, there's channie sitting on the couch watching a movie (or working) but didn't notice the reader just got home so he quietly sneaks behind him and leans down and is like "why are you up" and channie say he was waiting for him and yeah
Mind is blank after that
(Soft dom reader, aftercare, clingy chan,)
And chan clawing reader back just cause it 🤭
LATE NIGHTS - BANG CHAN X MALE READER
Warnings: smut, swearing, bad writing.
A/N: First time writing smut. This is gonna be mid (and that's me being generous). Also, the tenses are all over the place. (I'm a science major, forgive me.) Hope you enjoy, darling.

The doors always sound so loud at night, but Mn was used to sneaking in and out, so he gets in quietly. Being the perfectionist he was, it took him a little longer to be somewhat satisfied with his performance. He's been at the studio for hours and the caffeinated energy drinks he drank certainly isn't helping him get to bed. He wasn't expecting Chan to still be awake, but honestly, he should have. The older man was probably making some final changes to their new title track, and Mn couldn't help but stare at him. There's no denying that the leader was adorable. He walked in and poked Chan's head. "Why are you up, hyung?" Chan was a bit startled, and he let out a sigh when he saw that it was just Mn. "Just...making sure everything's perfect, I guess." He looked tired as hell, immediately pulling Mn down to the couch and clinging to him. Mn wrapped his arms around Chan's body, kissing the top of his head. "You need sleep, hyung." "Says you." Mn rolled his eyes. Of course Chan would say that. His fingers carded affectionately through the leader's hair, silky locks which were dyed blond. Chan buried his face into Mn's neck, letting out a soft whine. It's not like Mn didn't notice the bulge in the older's pants, he just didn't mention it. "Mnie.." "Hm?" "I need help with...something. I- oh god, I shouldn't be asking this-" "Just tell me, Channie." The nickname and that firm tone just made everything worse (or better) for Chan. "Just...fuck me. Please." Maybe it was the tiredness, could be the horniness, but Mn had never seen Chan so...bold. "If you want to, that is." Ah, there it is, Chan being Chan. Mn smiled, laying Chan down onto the couch on his back. "You sure about this, Channie?" The question was met with desperate nods from the older male lying on his back, his eyes needy and his hands clutching Mn's shirt, pulling him closer. "Please..." Mn brings his lips closer to Chan's, pressing them together in a gentle kiss which was deepened by a desperate Chan who let Mn's tongue in within seconds, just wanting to be taken care of for once.
It wasn't soon before the clothes came off, sounds of pleasure echoing through the room. They were both going to get scolded by the makeup artists for the hickeys they littered over each other's skin, but it was worth it. Chan's moans got louder and more desperate as Mn pushed deeper into him, filling him completely. "O-Oh Mn...ugh..f-fuck please move.." "You're so pretty, Channie" Mn's hips were slapping against Chan's ass, and the older male's back arched as he felt Mn deep inside him. Chan was a beautifully disheveled mess. A sight that Mn wanted tattooed in his memory. Chan's hips bucked up, trying to meet Mn's thrusts. Mn's big hands rested on Chan's hips, gripping them tight. He let out a low groan when he felt Chan claw at his back, probably leaving marks which he would have to explain to his makeup artists at the photoshoot the next day. But did he care? Absolutely not.
Chan's eyes rolled back in pleasure, one of his hands gripping Mn's bicep while the other continued to claw at his back. Mn continued to rock his hips, Chan's moans only adding fuel to the fire that was Mn's desire. His hand wrapped around Chan's cock and began to jerk him off while continuing his movements. "You're doing so well, sweetheart." "T-Thank you, Mnie.." "So pretty.." Chan choked out a groan, arching his back and throwing his head back against the couch. He whimpered at the sight of Mn above him, eyes wide as he stared at the handsome man.
"Oh..god...f-fuck..Mn.." Mn threw his head back, keeping his fast yet quite gentle pace. His eyes roamed over Chan's hard-earned, breathtaking body, taking in the sight of his broad chest, his arms and of course, his washboard abs.
A moan escaped Mn's throat as he felt Chan clench around him. "Mnie...I'm close.." "Let go, darling..." Mn's gentle voice was enough for Chan to let himself release, spilling over Mn's hand and his stomach. Mn's hand was quickly brought to his own mouth, him licking off Chan's cum. With a few more thrusts, Mn could feel himself getting closer. As he began to pull out, Chan's hands grabbed onto his waist and pulled him back in. "Fill me up.." Mn's lips curved into a smirk as he kissed Chan passionately, his cum filling Chan with warmth. They both slump back into the couch, Mn pulling out and quickly wiping everything off with tissues that were on the desk. Chan had closed his eyes, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps, as he tried to come back down from the overwhelming pleasure. he was a completely blissed out mess, his mind completely melted
Mn cupped Chan's face in his hands, kissing both his cheeks. "Everything alright, hyung-ah?" "Mhm...you...you're good at this." Mn just chuckled, pressing a kiss to Chan's nose before scooping him up in his arms. "Let's go shower, yeah?" "That'd be great.." And they cuddled happily ever after (till the morning).

valentine - hyung line
Tumblr media
i know valentine's day was a few days ago but i wanted to do an ot8 for it. i'm posting the hyung line first as i finish up the maknae line :) the premise of it is asking the other to be your valentine! and it goes back and forth. so, bang chan asks the reader and the in minho's the reader asks him. it alternates! anyway, enough rambling, i hope you enjoy! <3
bang chan
"What's the bear for?" Hyunjin asks, his brows furrowing slightly. His gaze moves from the large bear to Chan's face.
Chan becomes slightly embarrassed while setting the stuffed animal down. "I got it for Y/N. It's Valentine's Day," he mentions with a nervous chuckle.
"Ya, for real?! Finally," Hyunjin laughs and goes back to eating his lunch.
"Finally? What do you mean finally?" Chan asks in confusion. "I didn't tell anyone I was doing this, did I?"
"No, but we all know you have feelings for her. It's pretty obvious," the younger member shrugs his shoulders before scarfing noodles into his mouth.
Chan's cheeks blush and he grabs the bear from the couch. He quickly makes his way to his room and shuts the door quietly behind him.
You're still fast asleep on his bed, your face buried into the thick blankets. A smile comes to his face, loving how peaceful you're looking.
He sets the bear onto the bed carefully, making sure not to wake you just yet. Chan walks on his toes, stealthily moving around his bedroom to get everything ready.
A groan comes from your lips, causing the brunette to be still. He glances over his shoulder, watching you shift your sleeping position.
"Channie," you mumble sleepily, your hand reaching out to where he sleeps.
His heart flutters in his chest, placing his hand on his chest. "Wah, you're adorable," he whispers to himself before turning back around. Chan crouches beside the bed after he grabs the other gift he got you.
"Y/N," he whispers out your name, his fingers brushing your hair back.
Another moan comes from your lips, feeling startled by his touch. Your eyes flutter open, seeing your best friend crouching in front of you. "What?" You whine, shoving your face back into the pillow.
Chan laughs and leans forward, pressing a kiss on the side of your head. "Come on. I have something for you," he mumbles while pulling back.
You sigh and move your body to sit up, rubbing your tired eyes with the back of your hand. You notice the giant teddy bear and furrow your brows.
"What's this?" You ask in a whisper, your heart skipping a beat.
"I was wondering," Chan pauses, pulling a card and a gift box out from behind him, "if you wanted to be my valentine?"
Your breath hitches in your throat, feeling him place the gift into your hand. "A-As a friend?" You stutter, shifting your gaze to the box.
"It doesn't have to be in a friendly way," he suggests, scratching the back of his neck.
His words replay in your head as you open the gift he gave you. A gasp leaves your lips as the necklace you've been wanting sits inside the box.
"Channie…" you trail off, feeling the urge to cry.
"That's the right one, right?" He asks, leaning forward to see the necklace. "I know it's been a while since that day."
You set the box down and gently caress his face. His eyes meet yours before you lean forward to kiss him. His hands grip your thighs and kiss you back instantly.
"This is the most thoughtful thing anyone's done for me," you whisper against his lips, your forehead resting on his.
"So, does this mean you'll be my valentine?" He asks with a grin, nudging your nose with his.
A chuckle leaves your lips and you place a quick kiss on his lips. "Does this give you my answer?"

lee minho
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" You ask Han, glancing towards the blonde. You hold the three stuffed animals close to your chest, feeling your palms start to sweat. "What if he thinks it's stupid?"
Han scoffs and looks over at you. "Are you kidding? Y/N, this man adores you. You're the only one he's nice to," he explains, moving his hands around erratically. "And you're giving him stuffed animals that look like his cats."
A huff of breath leaves your lips and you glance down at the stuffed animals. "Okay, okay. I can do this," you start to hype yourself up, rolling your shoulders back.
"You got this. I believe in you," Han pats your back, a grin on his lips.
"I got this," you repeat to yourself and walk out of his apartment.
You walk across the hall before knocking on the door, kinda thankful the other four members live across the hall. This way you don't lose the courage.
Felix opens the door and you smile kindly at him. "I'm going to assume you're here to see Minho," he chuckles and steps to the side.
"It's that obvious?" You chuckle nervously, stepping into the apartment.
"The three cats really give it away," he mentions while pointing at them. "He's in his room."
You thank him and bow your head a bit, moving to walk down the hallway. You take a couple more deep breaths, repeating the question you want to ask him multiple times.
You tighten the grip on his gift before knocking on his bedroom door. "Min?" You softly call out.
"Ya?!" He yells, hearing his footsteps.
The door opens and your gaze meets his, lifting your hand to wave. "Hey," you smile.
"Y/N, hey," he smiles instantly. His gaze drops to the kitties in your arms. "What's this?"
You also glance down for a hot second before clearing your throat. "Can I come in first?" You ask him, not wanting the other members to watch or overhear.
"Yeah, of course," Minho mumbles, allowing you into his room. As soon as you step inside, Minho pokes his head out, noticing Jeongin and Felix quickly dash out of sight.
"Uhm, so," you start when he closes the door, holding out the stuffed animals. "I found these at a shop and they look like your cats…"
Minho's heart flutters in his chest, taking the stuffed animals from you. "They do," he smiles, feeling touched. His cats are his life.
"I was wondering if- maybe you'd want to-" you cut yourself off, the courage you had beginning to slip away. "I was wondering if you wanted to be my valentine?"
A surprised noise leaves Minho's lips, his head snapping up to meet your gaze. "W-What?" He stutters, and you notice the tips of his ears turning red.
"N-Nothing! T-This is so stupid," you laugh, thinking you don't have a chance with him. You turn to leave his room when one of his hands grips your wrist.
"Wait, don't go," he whispers, his thumb stroking your arm. "I do."
"You do?" You ask with wide eyes.
He smiles softly, nodding his head. "I do, yeah. Thank you for the gift. I love it," Minho laughs, squeezing you gently.
"You're welcome," you breathe out.
Minho leans down and places a kiss on the corner of your lips. "I'll have to get you something next year."

seo changbin
"Hey, do you know what kind of flowers Y/N likes?" Changbin asks Felix, holding the Samsung phone against his ear.
A laugh comes from the other end, causing Changbin to roll his eyes. "Ya, wait, are you buying her flowers??!" Felix counters with his own question.
"I was planning on it, yeah. Why's that funny?" He asks, furrowing his brows.
"It's just not like you. You've never really cared about that stuff," Felix explains.
"Yeah, well, I really like her," he sighs, dragging his fingertips along the rose petals. "Do you think she'll like roses?"
His friend chuckles before agreeing. "She'll love 'em, Changbin."
Changbin nods his head, bidding him goodbye. He slips his phone into his pocket before grabbing a bouquet. After quickly buying them, he leaves the florist shop and walks towards your apartment.
He's a little nervous at the idea of confessing his feelings for you, but he believes it's finally time. He just wants to hold you… romantically.
It takes about ten minutes to reach your apartment building and he quickly goes inside, heading straight to the third floor.
"I was just wondering if you'd like to be my valentine," Changbin says to himself while walking up the steps. He groans, feeling a little embarrassed. "I sound so stupid."
He stands outside your apartment door, raising his hand to knock. Before his knuckles could touch the wooden surface, the door opens up. His eyes widen as your body slams into him.
"Oh!" You gasp, placing your hands on his chest. "Binnie! Hey!"
"Hey, are you going somewhere?" He asks you, his grip on the bouquet growing tighter.
"No! I was just checking to see if my package has arrived yet," you chuckle before dragging the black-haired man into your apartment.
Changbin smiles at you before holding out the red roses. "I, uhm, I got these for you," he mentions with flushed cheeks.
Your heart flutters in your chest as you glance between the roses and Changbin. "They're beautiful," you grin widely, placing your hand on your chest. You take the bouquet into your hand before giving them a quick sniff. You lean on your toes, placing a kiss on his cheek. "You're so sweet, Binnie."
His heart pounds in his chest, feeling glad that this is starting off well. "Would you be my valentine?" Changbin asks, clearing his throat afterward.
"Of course," you say happily, moving your hand to grab a hold of his.
The buff man lets out a sigh of relief, squeezing your hand. You take a step closer to him and rest your head against his chest. One of his arms wraps around your shoulders, holding you close.
"I was so nervous to ask you," he whispers, kissing the top of your head.
"Really?!" You chuckle, shifting your head to look up at him. "I could never reject you."
His fingertips tap along your shoulder, a smile coming to his lips. "Oh, really?" Changbin asks, a hint of tease in his voice.
You chuckle, gliding your lips along his shirt-covered chest. "Absolutely. I've loved you for so long," you sigh, pressing a kiss on one of his pecs.
Changbin brings his hand to your face, hooking a finger under your jaw. He lifts your face before placing a short kiss on your lips. "I love you too. I have for a while," he's relieved knowing that you feel the same as him. "Do you want to get dinner?"
"I would love to, Binnie."
~
hwang hyunjin
Another sigh leaves your lips as you sit back in your chair. "I'm never going to get this right," you mumble, having the urge to throw the small canvas into the trash.
You've been contemplating on asking Hyunjin to be your valentine, but you didn't know the best way to do it. Since Felix and Hyunjin are best friends, you decided to ask him.
"Hyunjin has been into painting lately, so maybe you could paint him something?" He points out before taking a sip of his Fanta.
You snap your fingers, liking the idea. "Oh, he'd love that. The only problem is that I'm not artistic… at all," you laugh while hiding your face.
"Do something simple! Hyunjin isn't picky when it comes to art. He likes everything. Plus, it's coming from you. He'll love it either way."
So, here you are. It's been two hours since you set everything up. Two hours and you still don't have a piece that you like. You carefully rub your face, not wanting to get any excess paint on your skin.
A loud knock echoes off of your walls, snapping you from your thoughts. You glance towards the clock and notice the time. "Oh, shit!" You curse, quickly picking up your things.
"Y/N!" Hyunjin's voice calls out, hearing the front door of your apartment open and close.
You continue cursing under your breath, managing to put all the art supplies away. "I'll be right out, Jinnie!" You yell, quietly shutting your closet door.
You quickly look yourself over in the mirror before exiting your bedroom. Your best friend lounges on your couch, his limbs all spread out.
"Did you forget about me?" He playfully pouts at you. "We were supposed to meet an hour ago."
A breathy laugh comes from your lips and you nod your head. "Yeah, I was doing some work and it slipped my mind," you lie to him, moving his legs to sit on the sofa.
Hyunjin sits up with furrowed brows, his gaze fixed on you. The smile on your lips falters a bit, wondering what he's thinking. "What kind of work were you doing? Coal mining?" He asks with a laugh, bringing his hand to your face.
His thumb wipes the mark off of your face as you stare at him dumbfounded. "N-No! Uh, my friend from work likes to draw with charcoal and we went to the art store down the street. I must've gotten some on my fingers and wiped it on my face," you stumble over your words, getting a little nervous.
"You gotta pay more attention, angel," Hyunjin giggles while wiping his thumb along his jeans.
"I'm pretty oblivious aren't I?" You smile at him, your gaze meeting his.
God, he's so… pretty.
"Hey, are you doing anything tonight?" You ask him, grabbing a hold of his hands.
Your best friend shakes his head, fiddling his fingers with yours. "Nope. Why?"
"I was wondering if you could teach me how to paint," you mention, gliding your thumb along the back of his hand. "Watching you draw and paint so much makes me want to try myself."
Hyunjin's eyes widen and his back straightens. "Really? You want me to teach you?" He asks in disbelief, causing you to chuckle and nod your head in agreement. "I-I mean, yeah! I'd love to."
Before you can say anything else, Hyunjin sprints up from the couch. You watch him erratically throw his jacket back on. "What's wrong?" You panic slightly.
"Oh! Nothing! I just need to get some things to teach you," he mentions, taking a mental note to get more brushes. "Uhm, come over in like two hours? I'll have everything ready by then."
"Okay."
Two hours later you stand outside the door to his apartment, carefully holding the finished painting in your hands. You knock on the door and a crashing sound comes from inside.
"Hyunjin?!" You call out, a bit worried.
"I'm okay!"
"God, you're so cute," you whisper to yourself while shaking your head.
Footsteps gradually become louder before the door swings open. He's already got the apron he uses for painting. "Hey, come in," he smiles at you.
His eyes look down at the canvas in your hands, reaching out to grab it. "Wait!" You panic, stepping back. "T-This is a surprise."
"A surprise? It's blank isn't it?" He laughs, looking a little confused. "I figured you brought it to paint on."
"Not necessarily," you sigh. You fully walk into the apartment and Hyunjin closes the door behind you. "I asked Felix to help me and he suggested this so-"
"Y/N, what are you talking about?"
You wet your lips before holding the canvas out to him. "W-Will you be my valentine?" You ask with a stutter, feeling your cheeks blush.
His lips part in surprise as his gaze moves to the painting you did. The vase is a little uneven and the flowers aren't as defined, but he didn't care. "You… painted this for me?" Hyunjin asks quietly, taking the canvas from you.
"Yeah. It's why I didn't remember meeting up with you earlier. I was very immersed in getting this right," you laugh embarrassingly.
"I love it," he whispers, his eyes meeting yours. "I love it so much, angel."
Your heart flutters and Hyunjin leans down to kiss your cheek. The blush on your cheeks darkens, his free hand reaching to grab yours.
"I'll be your valentine," he chuckles, smiling down at you.
"Yeah?" You grin, squeezing his hand gently.
He nods his head before connecting your lips with his. You place your hands on his face, bringing him closer to you. "Happy Valentine's Day, angel," Hyunjin smiles.

Bang Chan was insufferable. There was nothing that annoyed you more than a stupid playboy who would do anything to get his dick wet and assumed that he was better than everyone because he was good at sport. Chan ticked all the boxes. At least, he appeared to.

He has GOT to be joking. He cannot possibly think that YOU could waste your time on some stupid basketball boy like Bang Chan. Screw all of this, you didn’t need extra credit, you could get the A+ by yourself, study harder, you know?
“Sure, I can do that” Fuck. Why did you say that? Well, damage is done now. I mean sure, it was true that you did have a tinyyyyyy crush on him but like, how could you not? I mean look at him. Stupid, pretty blonde hair and stupid, pretty brown eyes. But, as soon as he opened his mouth, everything was ruined.
It was late, about 7pm. Chan had FINALLY decided to show up to your dorm, 2 hours after planned. So, you were already pissed off and you hadn’t listened to his bullshit excuse for being late yet.
“Why are you so late, Chan?” you questioned. “Sorry, I was with a girl” he said slyly, smirking as if he was the only person ever getting girls. “Ugh, grow up. Sit down at the desk, all of the books are laid out” you said and pointed to a chair.
He rolls his eyes before dropping his backpack on the floor next to your Dr Marten shoes and slumping down on the chair you had pointed to previously. “Charming” you spoke sarcastically.
You started going over the work and trying to explain it as simply as you could and yet, he was still not fucking understanding. You started getting frustrated after an hour of him being incompetent and you know, you know that you shouldn’t get mad at someone for not understanding work however, it’d be a lot easier if he was actually LISTENING.
“Hey, are you even fucking listening?” you shouted at him. Admittedly you came off a bit more aggressive than you meant to. “Shit, I didn’t realise the kitty had claws.” he said, which you think was supposed to wind you up but it was actually just really cringey. “Never fucking say that again, now pay attention” you reply. “Well maybe it’ll be easier to pay attention if you weren’t so boring” he retaliated.
You stood up hastily and walked over to him, “Maybe if you weren’t so fucking stupid and you thought with your head instead of your dick, you’d get the fucking work and we wouldn’t have to keep going over it!”
He clearly didn’t expect this attitude from you as he was left mouth open with a faint blush on his cheeks. And, that’s when you realised. He was hard.
“Are you fucking hard?” you ask the obvious. And, I MEAN OBVIOUS. Poor boy had gotten so painfully hard over you yelling at him, I mean it’s pathetic really.
“It’s not my fucking fault, I can’t control what it does!” he shouts back. You slap him across the face, “you’re gonna have to watch how you fucking speak to me if you want me to help you.”
He nods meekly and keeps his head down in attempt to hide the flush present on his cheeks. “Now what we’re gonna do is… I’m gonna touch your stupid dick and ask you a random trivia question. If you get the question right, I’ll speed up. You get it wrong, I’ll slow down. If I have to get to the point where I stop, I stop for good and you get out of my fucking dorm. Okay?” you suggest. He nods once more.
You unzipped his baggy jeans and pulled his boxers down just enough for his dick to spring out and start pumping it at a neutral pace. “I’ll start off easy, English Language class, what is this difference between a simile and a metaphor?” you question.
“S-shit um… simile is when you use ‘like’ o-or ‘as’ and… fuck… a metaphor is when you say something is- ah- something else” he answered, broken up by shivered breathes, small mewls and cusses. “Yes, well done, baby.” you said and sped up; he gasped and his back arched at the new speed.
“Next question… history class. What year did the Berlin Wall fall?” you quiz again. “FUCK, I don’t know… shitshitshit… 1981?” he guesses. “Wrong.”
You slow back down, so much so that his climax - of which he was about 30 seconds away - disappeared almost immediately. “Fuck you” he cusses at you. Smack. The harsh feeling elicits a needy whine from the boy below you. “Are you getting off on me hurting you? You’ll get off of anyone or anything touching your tiny dick won’t you? You’re such a fucking whore.”
His head falls back, the lack of pleasure is driving him crazy and feelings of need cloud his mind. “One last question, this decides whether I stop or, you get to finish, okay?” he nods, not really comprehending any words you said but just deciding to agree anyway.
“Geography class, which two countries have the longest shared international border?” you ask. For a minute or two he really has to rack his empty brain. He then has a lightbulb moment, “Canada and the US!” he almost shouts. “Good boy” you sped up again, moving at an almost inhuman pace. He jaw falls slack as he is overwhelmed with the new found friction.
“Shitshitshit, can I cum? Can I cum, please [name], pleaseeee” you can’t help but giggle at the boy’s desperation. “Go on then, cum for me, bitch” you say mockingly. He whispers a string of ‘thank you’s’ before letting out a high-pitched moan and finally releasing thick spurts of cum. “Holy shit” he cusses.
“Go and get in the shower, you’re covered in sweat and cum. I don’t need that in my dorm” you smile patronisingly at him, “I’ll get you spare clothes.”
“I wasn’t with a girl before, you know? I was just scared to come over…” he told you before heading to your bathroom. “Come with me, I’ll pay you back…”
“Pay me back by paying attention in class” You roll your eyes, continuing to follow him into the shower regardless.

"You hate shopping, but..."
Tumblr media
Pairing: Bang Chan x fem reader
W/c: 2225
Synopsis: Your best friends (Hyunjin and Felix) force you to go shopping, but you don't know that it's all planned for you to meet their friend.
HI! It's my first ff that I write completely in English, I hope you like it and if there are errors please let me know!! :"
★★★★★★★
You hate shopping... You've always hated it. But your best friends dragged you into this "tragedy" because you lost a stupid bet.
So here you are, waiting for Hyunjin and Felix to come out of the dressing room.
You've spent 30 minutes waiting for them to get ready, and when they come out of the two separate small rooms you tell them they look fabulous, not paying attention to how they're dressed because you're getting bored.
The two of them stare at you for a few seconds and then they look at each other, and you, oblivious to what they are mentally saying to each other with that look, give them a bored look. Your friends, after giving you another look, look at each other again and nod without speaking to each other.
Hyunjin and Felix grab your arms and lift you up by the weight, at first you are confused by their actions, then you see that they are heading toward a dark clothing store, and you understand everything. You try to break free from their firm grip, threatening them to put you down. But they do not listen to you and continue their walk toward the store laughing.
When you enter the store a boy a little taller than you, with dark hair and chocolate brown almond eyes, turns to you and greets you: <<Hello and welcome to S Class, how can I help you?>> and smiles. Between you and you think he has a beautiful smile; he is cute after all. When the boy's gaze falls on you, your eyes meet for a split second before you lower it in embarrassment. You feel his gaze on you even as Felix speaks: <<We could use some dark clothes for our friend, Channie hyung!>>
You turn your head sharply toward the blond man. <<Do you...know him?>>
Hyunjin replies in place of the other <<Of course! He works with us for JYP>>
Oh. You didn't know your friends worked with such a handsome guy.
The raven smiles again (how beautiful his smile was....) and nods <<What do you like to wear?>> he says as he looks at you again.
<<Oh uhm...oversize things mainly, but not always yes here...preferably dark>> you reply feeling yourself on fire. You mentally insult your friends for taking you to a store with such a cute clerk. The boy nods and after a moment tells you to follow him.
Before you follow him Hyunjin whispers in your ear <<you know you're as red as a tomato y/n?>> you simply shut up and punch him lightly on the shoulder, and he, like a good drama queen makes a dramatic face and tells you that you hurt him, and you simply laugh.
You follow the raven, go through various sections of colourful clothing, genre that is not for you, eventually you come to a small section where there are garments that have all the dark shades you like.
The clerk teams you from head to toe, and you don't take your eyes off his dark chocolate eyes, you want to stay and look at him more, but you know you can't, because he turns and picks up a pair of ripped, baggy black jeans, smiles, and then tells you you should try them on. You look down, pick them up and head for the fitting room, your friends and the boy arrive a few minutes later with more short-sleeved T-shirts and oversized sweatshirts in dark shades, pick out the ones you like and enter the fitting room.
You come out of the dressing room, wearing the jeans he gave you, paired with a white shirt and over it a black T-shirt with AC/DC written in red and large in the centre. You see Hyunjin and Felix still talking to the boy.
<<So, we forgot to introduce you. y/n he is Chan hyung and Chan hyung well she is y/n>>
<<Ehm... nice to meet you Chan-ssi>> you bow feeling a little uncomfortable.
<<My pleasure y/n>> he replies to you.
<<O my god y/n! How good you look dressed like that!>> exclaims Felix, realizing that you felt uncomfortable.
<<Oh, thanks Lixie, I'd like it better with this oversized sweatshirt, though>> you reply, mentally thanking her. You show the sweatshirt you had decided on earlier, it was beige with a black rose at heart level, as soon as you had seen it you liked it immediately.
<<Oh, that's right you look very good dressed like that y/n>> Chan says blushing slightly.
You simply blush at the compliment and say nothing.
You try on other garments and finally choose the first outfit you had tried on that afternoon. You spent the last few hours chatting with Chan, because Hyunjin and Felix had decided to try on outfit after outfit, unfortunately for you, from the colourful sections. You knew they had done it on purpose, in fact they were your friends and knew you better than anyone else.
At first you do not know what to talk about, you are very embarrassed, and you realize that he is too since every time you look at each other you blush. So, you stay silent, and you listen to the songs playing on the radio in the store and without realizing it you start humming Growl by EXO and he looks at you <<Do you like EXO?>> and you start talking about their songs and your bias.
And from EXO you move on to talk about other groups, other singers, and music in general.
At the end of the day, he asks for your number, and you show him your cell phone so he could save your number. He sends you a funny sticker and you, as soon as you hear the notification that a message has arrived, open the chat, and laugh and shake your head. You pay for the clothes you bought and say goodbye.
Before you, Hyunjin and Felix leave the store, Chan calls you back and asks you to meet the next day at 10 a.m. at the mall.
You come home and throw yourself on the bed smiling, don't even bother to change, take off your favourite blue sneakers and fall asleep, there with a smile on your face and your clothes still on.
Months pass and you and Chan, who you found out is named Christopher Chan Bang, spend your days texting and hanging out together, sometimes with the addition of Hyunjin and Felix, sometimes with his friends who you found out were also friends with Hyunjin and Felix, and sometimes alone. One day he asks you to go out for breakfast together and spend the day walking, and you gladly accept. You write to your friends that the next day you would go out for breakfast and spend the day together. You don't sleep at night because of excitement and spend it on video call with Felix.
The next day at 8 a.m. you get out of bed, with a smile coming to your ears and feeling anxious about "the date," if you can call it that, you take a shower, get dressed in flared jeans, an oversized black sweatshirt with a print and the usual sneakers, put on your makeup quickly to cover your dark circles and make yourself presentable, and go to the bar you decided on. You arrive ten minutes early, so you check your cell phone while you wait for him and continue listening to music, sitting on a bench nearby.
Shortly after you feel someone touch your shoulder from behind, you jump in the air and turn around, to your great good fortune it's Chan <<sorry if I startled you>> he says in embarrassment and with that smile of his that gives you butterflies in your stomach.
You laugh and shake your head and tell him it's okay, his smile stays as he looks at you and asks if you want to go into the bar and you nod smiling back.
You enter the cafe and sit down at a table; a waiter reaches your table and asks what you want.
<<For me a coffee and a pistachio croissant>> he says, you instead order your usual cappuccino and chocolate croissant.
<<Coming right up guys>> said the waiter smiling.
<<Hey y/n tell me a little about yourself, passions, hobbies>> asked the boy to interrupt the moment of silence that had arisen from embarrassment.
<<Oh, uhm... I don't have many hobbies, but I love to read and, as you know, listen to music, do you?>> asks.
<<I write stories and take pictures>> he replies blushing.
<<Can I read something written by you?>> you ask with your eyes probably shining with curiosity and he replies that he'll see, laughing right back at your false pout.
Shortly afterwards your order comes to you, and you continue talking for a while. When you finish eating, pay for everything, and leave the café, you ask if he would like to go to the park for a while and he nods, smiling at you, so you set off lost the playground near the town square. When you arrived, he takes a camera out of his backpack and starts taking pictures of your surroundings and you look at him smiling <<you look like a child who has just been given the game he wanted>> you say laughing slightly.
At some point, however, you too end up in the lens and blushing you complain <<Channie please I can't stand someone taking pictures of me!>>.
He doesn't listen to you and takes the picture, and you cover your face with your hands out of embarrassment, until Chris tells you to take them off and you glare at him, claiming that you are neither beautiful nor photogenic.
<<Y/n you are beautiful, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen come into my store>>
You blush and reply that he is more beautiful than you, at that sentence he begins to stare at you softly, you smile and look at him your turn, he comes up to you and arranges a lock of hair behind your ear.
<<You know that you have a beautiful smile? Every time I see you smile, I see the streets of Tokyo with its cherry blossom trees>> he says before his lips rest on yours in a gentle kiss that triggers a whole zoo in your stomach and makes you blush, it was a tender kiss. His lips tasted like coffee and pistachio and for a moment you think you might become addicted to it. When you part you, both look at each other and blush, but you notice that he has a slightly startled look on his face at what he had done, and you, to let him know you liked it, kiss him again, putting your arms behind his neck, and he puts his on your hips.
It's a beautiful, unforgettable moment, once you separate from the kiss, he tells you <<Y/n...I know it's early to say this, but I love you so much...>> you look at him and smile, you smile like an idiot and you know that because you feel you are smiling so much your face hurts.
<<I love you too Christopher>> you whisper so softly that Chan is not sure he heard you right and asks you to repeat and you laugh. You laugh and you are happy to have a kind and caring boy like Chan. You're glad you met him, you're glad because if it weren't for your friends, you would never have met him.
You spend the rest of the day holding hands, staying hugged sitting under a tree, and kissing each other from time to time in between. And toward evening he walks your home, holds your hand to the door and smiles at you, kisses you before letting you go, and you want to tell him he can stay, but you know it's too it's too soon to do that. That time will also come though, maybe tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that.
You walk into the house with that silly smile that has never left your face during the day, take off your shoes and put them in place, go into the bathroom and put on your pyjamas. You smile. You get on the bed and text Chan asking him if he has arrived home safely; soon after that you text in the group chat with Hyunjin and Felix and tell them everything. As soon as you send the message Felix starts a video call and you accept it.
<<I can't believe it Y/n!>> your friends say at the same time.
<<Me neither! I'm not sure if it's a dream or reality!>> you smile radiantly. You tell them straight about the day and then ask how and what they did during the day. You talk some more with your friends and then decide to call it quits and go about your business. You close the call and see that Chan has answered that he has returned home safely, and you answer him.
You are so happy that if you could go back to the past, you wouldn't change a comma. "I love you" you text him and then you turn off the phone and get under the covers and close your eyes falling into a deep sleep.

Note
can u then do the dating scene question for skz? tysm!!
Here you go ☺️ Sorry about the wait
Remember to take everything with a grain of salt. Tarot readings are for the moment and things very well could change in the future
Bang Chan (4 of Cups, 2 of Wands)
He’s chill about it. Him being an idol won’t stop him but he might let his partner know what they might be getting into
Lee Know (7 of Wands, Ace of Cups)
It is what is but he wants his love and willing to fight for it. He won’t stop dating just because of his job
Changbin (9 of Swords, 2 of Pentacles)
He thinks the work-life balance is hard to maintain. Therefore dating makes him anxious
Hyunjin (5 of Swords, Chariot)
It’s a pain in the ass and he wonders if it’s even worth the risk at this point. He’s very confident in his looks so if he could easily get a girlfriend but like is the outcome worth it? Also a tidbit: with the deck I’m using, the art for the Chariot is a blonde man riding a horse with a little girl hanging onto him so I interpret as Hyunjin being worried about fans backlash. Like how can he date happily if the fans are attached.
Han (4 of Cups, 2 of Wands, Page of Wands, Page of Pentacles)
He had words it seems 🙃 He will do what must be done. He’s kinda bored with it or thinks it’s boring that he can’t date around like he wants. He’s willing to jump in though given the chance. He’s optimistic that he can keep a healthy relationship.
Felix (Knight of Wands, 5 of Pentacles, King of Pentacles)
He would love to date but it feels like there’s an ego issue at play. So maybe he doesn’t want to date any fellow idols or his partners think they’re not good enough for him. Felix himself is pretty secure in who he is and would loving a caring partner. Alternate take: he feels like the idols he dates only use him for looks
Seungmin (Page of Pentacles, Queen of Pentacles, Chariot)
He prefers dating other idols or someone on his own level income wise. He knows how to maneuver and would appreciate someone who understands the same struggles.
I.N (Wheel of Fortune, 5 of Swords, 6 of Pentacles)
He’s patient about it but conflicted. He feels that it would be nice but much like Hyunjin, it’s not even that serious. If it happens, it happens and it’ll be cool but he’s not gonna chase after it too hard
(If you have any questions or just want to tell me I did a good job, send me another ask ☺️)

you're familiar (like my mirror years ago)
Tumblr media
iwaizumi hajime x fem!reader (sfw)
The forest is sun-bleached and hazy, awash in a haze of white-gold that makes it difficult to discern the gnarled roots whose knuckles poke through the dry earth. It's hot out, but bearable—spring hot, not summer hot. It feels dusty and stiff.
Her lips are cracked like the dirt beneath her worn sneakers, a red-laced relic from her middle school volleyball days. She thinks she can see green up ahead and she squints, eager for something plush beneath her blistered feet. Perhaps Iwa-chan would let them rest there for a moment. She can see the angry red blooming across Oikawa's nose and cheeks, creeping down the column of his proud throat. It looked remarkably bear without a collar wrapped around it. Seeing Oikawa out of uniform was akin to seeing a pig in the ocean—it happened, occasionally, most often in strange and foreign places, but it never quite looked natural.
By contrast, Iwaizumi looked more like himself than ever in his torn up wife-beater. It gaped around his shoulders and little holes had been moth bitten across his midriff, displaying more of his Miyagi tan than she was accustomed to seeing. She'd been trying her best not to stare at him, focusing rather on the Makki's strawberry-blond head. He'd begun to grow out his bangs, finally. He'd let Mattsun cut them off with scissors in their middle school bathroom and had kept them obnoxiously short for years since. Somewhere overhead a pair of crows has begun to circle, their cawing echoes through the seemingly empty forest.
They were off to visit a shrine, to secure the third-years their “certain victory” in the upcoming volleyball season, and they'd made the unanimous and utterly stupid decision to not take the actual (straight, clean, clear, and generously sprinkled with vending machines) path towards it, but rather to forge their own through the foliage.
Idiots. The lot of them.
(She'd kill for a Pocari Sweat.)
“How much further?”
Oikawa holds up a finger, and shuffles about the map in his other hand. “About 3 kilometres, if my readings are correct.”
She groans, stumbling over another root. She doesn't expect the hand on her upper arm, hot and calloused and wide enough to encase all of her cotton-draped limb and then some.
“Getting' tired there stripes?”
Iwa's grin is savage, wild as the knotted vines beneath their feet and sharper than the crows' claws. It suits him perfectly.
Against her will her eyes stray down to that golden skin, bared to the dappled sun.
The hand on her arm tightens, fingers twitching against her until she can feel her own pulse.
He really is beautiful.
Her face tinges red, gaze flitting back and forth between his (big, strong, perfect—ok, get it together girl) hand, and his gunshot gaze. So, it turns out spending the bulk of the summer coaching herself through the self-destruction of her crush did not, in fact, get rid of said crush.
Bummer.
He'd asked her a question, hadn't he?
Iwa's brow ticks up, his smile takes on a slightly condescending lilt, with just the right amount of fang. He doesn't bully her half as much as Oikawa, but they'd been friends since diapers so he's not shy about roughing her up a little every now and then. She refuses to admit she enjoys it.
There'd been a brief period in middle school where things had gotten…complicated. Her friends had suddenly realised she was a girl and she had suddenly realised they were icky-yucky boys, and then all of a sudden roughhousing and play wrestling and casual insults trickled to a stop.
They picked up pretty quickly after the legendary tantrum she through outside the gymnasium though, so she can't really hold it against them.
(She still can't look their middle school coach in the eye, she'd brought out the waterworks and everything back then. How humiliating.)
“Yes,” she says at last, with what she believes to be a perfectly fair amount of attitude. “And my feet hurt.”
“Poor princess,” he mocks, giving her arm one last nudge before moving back to his spot beside Oikawa.
She ignores the twisting in her gut and the phantom sensation of warm fingers against her skin. And Makki and Mattsun's obnoxious kiss-y noises.
Well, she mostly ignores it.
If she sends a sharp kick to each of their ankles, that's her business.
“What will you be wishing for, Chibi-chan?” Oikawa calls back, his attention mostly stolen by the spiderweb that seems to have glued itself to his sleeve.
“Our assured victory, obviously,” Makki answers for her, looping a sweat-slick arm around her sweat-slick neck. Both of them shudder at the feeling, but he doesn't let go.
Mattsun, clearly feeling left out, reaches over to mess up her hair.
“Actually, I was going to wish for my assured victory, you self-absorbed piece of shit.”
She attempts to shove both boys off of her, but they've shot up like weeds over the past few years and whatever diet their coach has them on is working overtime. Neither boy budges, not even an inch.
“Victory in what, I wonder, dear chibi-chan.”
Oh, she doesn't like that. She doesn't like that at all. That mean glint in his eyes is only attr
active on Iwaizumi, on Oikawa it raises her blood pressure in a whole different way.
“Assured victory in love, perhaps?” Mattsun teases, tugging once more on her hair before distancing himself.
He trips over a tree root on his way back.
Instant karma. Nice.
Iwa's looking at her. And not just a regular look. Not even one of his teasing looks. He's Looking, with a capital 'L'. She hopes the scarlet stain across her cheeks can be attributed to the weather, but if the predatory tilt of his head is anything to go by It Is Not.
“Shut up,” she says, very maturely, and stomps forward to walk at the front.
Someone whistles playfully as she passes, which doesn't help the blush.
(That is exactly what she's going to wish for, which makes it all the more embarrassing. She just needs a little courage. A little push. She promised herself she'd confess this year, but man is she terrified of what will come from it—or not come from it, as the case may be. Still, they've been dancing around each other for years and she knows there's something there. She just doesn't know if he wants it.
If he wants her.)
There's heat at her shoulder and breath on her cheek, knuckles dragging against her own where they swing at her side. “You don't need a shrine for that.”
She takes a peek at him, knocks their hands together a little harder. He laughs and slips his palm into hers. It's clammy and honestly a little gross, but in that moment it's the best thing she's ever felt.
“Promise?” She whispers, just for him.
“Promise.” Iwa squeezes her hand. Sun dapples over his forehead, and his smile is spring-soft. The tough shell around him gapes open, if only for a moment. “I'll be waiting, when you're ready.”
She's young, she's in love, and everything is perfect.
(If you ignore the influx of kissy noises from behind them, and Oikawa's shrill whines.)

Skz at carnival
Okay I tried to do something a bit different here where it’s not quite x reader but reader is heavily implied multiple times throughout the hc’s. Lemme know if you like it and don’t forget I live off of reblogs, comments and likes
Pls validate me🧍🏾‍♀️
Tumblr media
Bang Chan 방찬
-Carnival dad. I know it sounds stereotypical cause channie is dad/daddy/brother coded but why is he the only one who remembered water, snacks and cash hmm🤨
-Doesn’t really get too involved in the festivities because he’s busy keeping an eye on everyone
-Definitely does headcount’s every five minutes and gives himself minor heart attacks if he can’t immediately find one of you guys
-two words. Buddy. System. You get a buddy!you get a buddy! everyone gets a buddy!!🥳 but being buddies with Chan is a low key punishment cause it means you were doing a lil too much and he saw his career flash before his eyes😭
-there will be no wine catching on this mans watch. Homie is the opp fr😭😭 got his arms folded and everything waiting for one of y’all to get out of line
-overall a stick in the mud and would definitely have more fun if he couldn’t feel mister Park Jin-Young breathing down his neck😩
Lee know 리노
-homie is fascinated. From a dancers point of view he hit the holy grail. He’s literally just standing there like 👁️👄👁️🧍🏻‍♂️ just trying to soak it in because he’s never really seen anything like it.
-oh boy
-once he got a few shots in him he is Chan’s worst nightmare. He broke off from the group and is found twenty minutes later rizzing up anybody who would listen for a quick dance lesson because he needs to learn how to tic and tock😭
-ends up becoming Chan’s first buddy of the day and ends up sulking his way out of it by pulling the dongsaeng card.
-secretly taking videos to send to their choreographer for their comeback
Changbin 창빈
-Changbin got him a plate,a cola champagne and a view. He is not causing no fuss cause he’s getting his protein gains in and seeing some ass LMAO he is a simple man.
-definitely gets smacked upside the head though for trying to get a dancers number knowing damn well the netizens would eat his ass alive🙄
-It’s okay cause he’s back in chan’s good graces with some aegyo and a bite of his beef patty
-also because he basically tackles your ass to the ground for throwing it back on jisung
Hyunjin 현진
-baby boy is basically in an artist’s paradise. All the colors, the lights, the atmosphere. He pretty much wanders around with his sketchbook trying to capture just how live the place is.
-his waistline got a mind of they own though and he’s a fast learner so he doesn’t know what Chan was expecting with you two🙄 like damn dad why can’t it just be a wine between friends🙄🙄
-him,Felix and jisung end up in a like wining train that basically has Chan ready to rip his hair out folicile by follicle because that’s exactly what he told them not to do😃
-besties he is faded by the end of the night off coquito and piña colada’s😭He’s covered in glitter and feathers and has lipsticks stains from he doesn’t even know who.
-is literally returned to Chan hauled over Changbin’s shoulder giggling and mumbling about how it was the best day ever and they should go every year
Jisung 지성 & Felix 필릭스
-Jisung didn’t even wanna come🧍🏾‍♀️
-a crowed street with loud music, lots of people and nowhere to plug in his phone was not the wave. He tried to stick with Minho for the most part but when the liquor hit and kitty boy because a train wreck he realized that was no longer a feasible option😭
-his next best bet is Felix but he was not ready for the extrovert to extrovert😭😭
-he’s just trailing behind the blonde like a lost puppy until the initial new setting uneasiness wears off and he realizes he kinda likes it
-in the next hour he’s got a random countries flag wrapped around his waist and him and Felix managed to climb on top of a float and put those waistlines to work 😩
-Chan has never called for a driver so fast because their asses got sent ✨HOME✨
Seungmin 성민
-to put it bluntly seungmin didn’t go because it’s not really his scene but he thoroughly enjoyed watching the group chat blow up and Chan’s sanity slowly decline from the comfort of his bed
-he also enjoyed that video hyunjin took of you wining on jisung before their fun got cut short

Imaginary | Bang Chan
Tumblr media
Bang chan x reader
Summary: you lived in solidarity and self-hatred for as long as you can remember, but that all changes when a handsome blonde man appears in your room. He was perfect and ideal for you. You discover that he's just a figment of your imagination, but does it matter to you if it means you get to be happy?
Sh, eating disorder, self-hatred, insecurities, reader thinking too much, suicidal thoughts, depression (Detailed)
Wc: 1723
You lay on your side on the mattress, your eyes unfocused, as you think about your life—about everything, really. Dry tears stain your cheeks, and an ache in your head blooms, continuously banging with every slight move you make.
Your heart weighed heavily on your chest as you lay emptily on your bed. It didn't even feel like a heart in your chest anymore; instead, it felt like a big, heavy stone weighing you down with even the slightest step and actions, and you didn't know what to do to make that feeling go away. Your mind felt like it was detached from you, stuck in a very dark place with no way back to its rightful place.
You shuffle in your bed, your eyes squeezing shut from the banging in your head as your hair sprawled messily on your pillow. Your puffy eyes ached, the strong light in your room making your eyes hurt and struggling to keep it open. You desperately wanted to get up from your warm comfy bed, but whenever you think about doing it, the stone in your chest weighs heavier, pinning you down further into your bed.
Why are you still alive at this point? You were worthless and useless, nobody was gonna miss you if you grab the blade in your nightstand drawer and drag it across your throat and wrist. In fact, you think they would be better off without you. All you did was lay on your bed, cut everyone off and think about your life, past regrets and compare yourself to others out of self disgust and hatred.
You think about your childhood and your current life, and quickly, the feeling of guilt nagged at your chest. Your childhood life and current life wasn't bad but it wasn't great and perfect either, and it made you feel horrible for making it seem like such a big deal.
But if it wasn't horrible and such a big deal then why do you want to end it all?
You sighed deeply, shuffling in your bed, your nose immediately scrunching in disgust as you accidentally sniffed your pyjamas. Your cotton night dress stinks very badly and you knew you wouldn't sleep because of it, even if you tried. You stink badly. With a tired groan, you lift your head up heavily and stare at your room door in utter despair.
Your head hits the silky pillow gently as you zone out once more. You can shower tomorrow, it doesn't have to be right now.. , but…you wouldn't be able to sleep knowing that you absolutely reek. You haven't showered in weeks, and if you weren't going to do it now, then when are you? You eye your front door with a frown and sigh heavily. With heavy movements, you slowly sit up from your bed.
You sluggishly pull yourself up from your bed and sigh, forcing yourself not to lay back down again. It was very tempting not to lay down again. With one last sigh, you force yourself to fully get up from your bed.
Your hair was tangled, frizzy, and matted, and your lips were dry and cracked. You roll out your tongue lazily and lick your lips to moisturise them.
You felt like an old lady as you stood with a slouched posture and slightly bended knees. With a small, tired noise, you slowly straighten your posture and legs. With slow, sluggish steps, you walk to the lamp sitting on your table opposite your bed. You reach to the switch on flick it, a click filling your ears immediately.
A faint orange colour illuminated the room a little, but it was barely seen as the main light in your room concealed it.
Now, you finally saunter to the door, switch off the light with a small click, and finally exit your bedroom. The only light coming from your bedroom was the orange hue coming from the lamp on your table.
Even though the hallway to the bathroom was dark, you still placed your hands on each side of your face as you groggily passed a tall mirror on your way to the bathroom.
You opened the bathroom door with the side of your bottom and stepped in, not bothering to open the lights.
You began to strip.
Almost two hours later, you hear something fall on the ground in your room as you continue to fall victim to your frustrating thoughts. You snap back to reality and narrow your eyes at the sound. From what you remembered, no windows were opened, and not a single door was unlocked.
Your heart raced anxiously as you over thought about what fell and what caused it.
Maybe… Was it the wind? No, that wouldn't make any sense; all windows were closed. It could be ghosts, but yet again, ghosts are not real. In your opinion, at least. Or maybe it was just something that wasn't placed properly. Yeah, that was it. It must've been that—nothing else.
You go back to lazily scrubbing yourself, but you soon tense up and pause once you hear another thing fall. Your heart rate skyrocketed immediately, leaving you hyperventilating. You let out shaky breaths as the hot water continued to hit your scalp and scarred skin.
You stand up slowly from the bathtub and turn off the shower, carefully stepping out so you don't slip. You don't want that to happen. You don't think your body can handle another bruise from your clumsiness and laziness.
You grab your pyjamas you left on the radiator two days ago. You remembered that you had wanted to try and shower, but you just went back to bed.
You pull the pyjama top over your wet head and then slide your legs into the pyjama pants. Your hair dripped and slightly drenched your pyjama top.
You slip your wet slippers on and silently pull the bathroom door open, which was a little difficult for you since you haven't used your arms in a few days. They were very lazy and weak at the moment.
You slowly and carefully walked to the guest room, narrowly avoiding the creek on the stairs. The guest room had baby toys since your cousin came by to see you a few weeks ago, and they had forgotten to take the toys with them.
In the guest room, you quickly but tensely grab a yellow plastic hammer toy from the ruffled bed. Sure, the hammer was a toy, but it was big, so it will do perfectly for the attack. It was perfect to create minor damage, like bruises. Nothing serious.
With determination, you walk out of the guest room with slightly lifted arms as you raise the hammer, gripping the yellow handle tight.
You gulp as you see a figure in the middle of your room, back turned against you. It looked like a man. You breathe heavily, but you still have some determination left in you. All you had to do was attack the man and give him the scolding of his life. And integrate him! You can't forget about that.
On accident, you step on the creaky part of the short stairs, and you immediately tense, your breath hitching faintly. Dumb you. How could you forget about the stairs?
You gulp and breathe faster in fear as you see the man stiffen but not move from his spot.
You clutch on the handle of the toy hammer with narrowed eyes, determined to make him realise that he picked the wrong house to break into and shoo him out of your house.
You get ready to pounce, and with a war cry, you raise your hammer and hurry to your room with a slight run.
First hit on his head, then his back, and then back to his head again. He yelps with each hit, but you ignore it and continuously hit the man's head with determination.
“How. Did. You. Get. In. My. House, Old Man?!" You yell with each blow at his head.
The blonde man hisses and yelps in pain from the force of your hits. He lost his balance, tripped on the edge of the rug, and landed on the ground on his side with a small, painful huff.
“You sneaky son of a-”
“Ah, stop, stop, stop, stop!” The man yelled out, his voice broken from the pain as he shielded himself—mostly his head—interrupting you mid-sentence.
You pause in surprise as you hear him speak, ceasing your abuse on his head, the yellow toy hammer pausing halfway to his head also. “Oh… I didn't know you could speak. So the burglar speaks, huh?” You say, surprised, before snapping out of it. You give his head a good last bonk with the hammer before stepping back a little, your eyes on him closely and cautiously as he lays in pain on the rugged floor.
He groans and hisses in pain, and he rubs his head to ease the pain a little. The blonde man hurries up to stand, his back still turned towards you. He huffs and mumbles to himself in annoyance, wiping away the imaginary dirt from his clothes.
You continue to stare at him blankly, waiting for him impatiently to turn around to you and show his face. “You’re stupid for thinking you can weirdly sneak in and steal something from my house,” you say coldly, but he doesn’t say anything. He still continued to rub the imaginary dirt from his clothes. “Ya! I’m talking to you," you snap.
You hear him sigh, and you see him pause for a moment. You were taken aback to hear him speak... and for his voice to be soft. “Wait- I’m sorry, did you say steal? I don’t want to steal anything.” In a swift motion, the blonde man turns to you, and God…
He had sharp but soft features. His eyes were the perfect shade of brown, his lips were plum and the ideal shade of pink. And his nose...his nose was so defined. How could someone bad like him look this perfect?
You didn’t believe him. If he didn’t want to steal, then why did he sneak into your house? He seriously needs to be a better liar. You stare blankly at him, about to interrogate him and give him the scolding of his life.

Breakeven.
Prt 1.
Bang Chan X Plus Size Reader. Fluff mild angst. Slow burn?
The news broke that V from BTS's stalker was apprehended. The fact that someone got so close sent shock waves through the major companies to up security. Guards for even the groups that didn't have a major following, it felt incredibly necessary. Keeping the artists behind closed doors like hamsters in wheels and a very colorful and elaborate cage. The studio Stray Kids though did the majority of their work for their latest mixtape was across the street from a cafe. The road was mainly foot traffic and standing there on the concrete pavement was a woman with a guitar.
A foreigner. As divisive as that word is in South Korea, that's what she was...singing in English songs from a while back. Breakeven by The Script, Need You Now by Lady Antebellum. This heartache verbalized in the cry of the street. She bowed quietly with the smallest smile if people tipped her, that's at least what Chan noticed from his tower. Yes, the great tower of the unmarked building in the middle of the city. No one knew he was there, nor what the building was. Everyone below him just too busy with their own day to notice. He was grateful for that, but he found himself wanting to be amongst the people. Be there, go grocery shopping, go to a cafe. Exist in the cosmos of the cosmopolitin. So, looking out of the window of the studio he watched this woman. Living vicariously through her. He could hear her if he tried really hard with the window open, but most of the time it was when he snuck into the building he could hear.
Felix was setting down his things in a chair before seeing his friend deep in thought, not moving a muscle, just looking out the window. Walking beside him the blonde followed his eyeline to the girl.
"You know you can go say hi-"
Chan jumped not noticing the new presence slamming his hand over his heart. "Ah!-oh, hi...I dunno what you're talking about..." Brushing the comment off. Felix just raised a brow.
"You stand here and what...stare at her? Man, that's creepy- you wear a mask and a hat and go over. Say Hello"
Chan just shrugged. That was the thing with Bang Chan. With his life experience, the thing he never wanted was to be hurt like he was in the past. To suffer again the things he did getting here. There of course are other things, but when you are in this life it's far easier to make up stories about the driver, the barista, or grocery delivery person? Then to actually...know them. For then they could leave and you would be left alone. Parasocial relationships go both ways remember? So Chan for the first time in a while has had the time to look at the same girl and imagine. Imagine her life, why was she in Korea? Why did she always sing sad songs? Maybe she was a student and this is how she made extra money, or was stranded here and needed to find funds for a plane back home. Or just she liked singing.
So many questions and thoughts and contemplations on the idea of a person, a person he didn't know. While he and Felix went actually into the studio to work he couldn't get her off his mind.
~~
Y/n though was very busy at work. It was hard to get people to notice you when you're in a larger body. At least notice you for the right reasons, notice the voice, the talent (as if). Southeast Asia had the beauty standard of a pin and people paid millions of dollars to fit it. The clothes, the almost infantilization of women? 'Cutesy' shit that made her skin crawl, she could dress like an idol, speak the language fluently, get her hair done at those fancy salons that give you tea; wouldn't be enough. So Y/n decided not to participate. She would sing, play guitar, and let that be the reason she was content. Be understood and heard through music. A couple months out of the year she visited a cousin who lived in Busan for work. Taking a week or so to visit Seoul it was her mission to live. Experience everything she could. That included what she normally did back home, just...here. Where Y/n would sing in front of a Starbucks or a dunkin, or dutch bros really whatever mall adjacent location would allow her to get a set in. Finding a cafe who agreed to let her perform on their property she set up. She just knew this wasn't a hot spot for tourism so felt comfortable in her ignorance if someone made comments she wouldn't super be able to understand them.
So she sang. Song after song not noticing at all the peering eyes from the man a floor above her.
Where Chris was watching. Dreaming of what she sounded like when she laughed, if she had a boyfriend or if he really should say hi to her...fate would have to decide as the rest of 3racha filed into the studio.
And so.....fate did decide.

Bang Twins AU Headcanons
In a wild AU where Chan has an identical twin named Chris....
Chan was born first, Chris was born 3 minutes later.
It's followed them throughout their lives. Chan is punctual, Chris is always a little late to everything.
Every single physical part of them is exactly the same, even all their little moles and birthmarks.
The only difference is when they smile, Chan has two dimples, but Chris only has one, which is on the left.
Chris didn't want to be a pop idol, but he didn't want to be away from Chan, so he went through all the training and was planning to quit as soon as Chan got placed in a group. Once Stray Kids was formed, though, Chris stayed because he'd become friends with all the other boys.
Libras are supposed to be about balancing the scales, but it often feels like these twins are on opposite sides of those scales.
Chan is goofy, playful, extraverted, charming. Chris is more serious, quiet, introverted, blunt.
Chan's anger is quiet, controlled, and involves slamming things or throwing things while he stews. Chris's anger is loud, involves a lot of yelling, but never any sort of physicalness.
Chan's love languages are acts of service and physical touch. Chris's are words of affirmation and physical touch.
Are the twins cuddling on the couch again? Yes. Are they sleeping in the same bed again? Yes. Do these two ever move more than two feet apart? Not if they can help it.
Every time one of them has wanted to change hair color, the other picked the same hair color so they were always matching.
Whenever Chan went back to his natural color, though, Chris would go back to platinum blond.
Yes, Chris's hair is in just as sad a condition as Chan's is. Neither of them ever learned how to properly care for their hair.
Both twins have insomnia, depression, and ADHD. Chan's ADHD is a little bit worse. Chris's depression is a little bit worse.
If you're sick, Chan will make you soup and take care of you. Chris will be wearing a mask and disinfecting everything you touch while staying ten feet away from you.
Chan will power through a cold with medicine to minimize his symptoms (he's got shit to do!). Chris becomes a whining lump on the couch.
Some nsfw headcanons are under the cut. MDNI, obvs.
Chan is a top, Chris is a bottom.
Despite that, Chan is the one that gets shy when flirting and often feels like an idiot trying to act like he's got game.
Meanwhile, Chris sees who/what he wants and goes after it head-on. Boy got gaaaaame.
Chan: "Yes, sir, I'll have them home by eight."
Chris: "They call me 'Daddy,' too."
Regardless, both boys will spoil their lovers rotten both in and out of the bedroom. They're dedicated, adoring, loyal, affectionate, caring, kind, and good listeners.
Both twins prefer boxers.
Chan sleeps in the nude, Chris sleeps in his underwear.
Yes, it's partially because they often share a bed.
No, Chan will *not* put his underwear on. You came into *his* bed. Deal with it.
Chris smokes pot frequently. Most people can't tell.
Chan is overly sensitive to THC so when the insomnia is getting really bad, Chris will give him the tiniest piece of a gummi and watch over him as he sleeps.

I envied your optimism and excitement for life. But each time I saw you, I felt a certain thrill. You made me angry, you made me laugh., you made me feel everything. Something about you made me feel a little more alive each time. I know I fucked up and I know I'm an asshole but I'm also brutally in love with you."
[the GIF is not mine]
Tonight the night breeze feels more gentle than ever, even though it's freezing outside. Maybe it was too hot inside the frat house or maybe I'm still numb from everything that happened to feel the cold. My hands are still shaking from anger, my eyeliner is probably messed up and the world is still spinning. Tonight wasn't the night to drink so much but it was the only thing that numbed the pain, even for a few moments. The realization hasn't quite hit me yet. The tears have dried, but my heart still hurts. 1 year. 1 whole year of my life I dedicated to him. I cried over him, we fought, we laughed, we talked, and we made love. I opened up to him more than anyone. I trusted him and I fell for him. I thought Jackson would never hurt me. Everyone was warning me, telling me to stay away, reminding me of his 'fuckboy' reputation but I didn't listen. I was stupid enough to believe that with me he would be different like I'm some main character in a fucking movie. He was, in a way but he was also going through a lot but regardless I was there every single time. He had so many issues, so many demons, and such pain from his past that he hadn't and couldn't deal with, and I stayed despite everything. Despite the fighting and the yelling. Despite his cruel words and despite his inability to control his anger. I stayed even after the nights I forced myself to bury deep in my memories where his anger would take over completely. I understood him in a way and I loved him despite everything. But it was all a lie and finding out I was a joke to him made my world crash. That I was just some chick he wanted to fuck and make fun of with his friends. He tried to explain by saying that at some point he started to feel more and couldn't stop thinking about me. Bullshit. I slapped him for the first time that day, the day I went by his apartment, unexpected, and found all of his friends there that had no clue I was even his girlfriend. For a week straight he wouldn't leave me alone, He was calling me none stop, banging at my door, and showing up to my classes. I was thankful to Hyunjin and Felix for never leaving me alone when he was around. I hadn't left my bedroom for a week and Emma was begging me to come with her to this Frat party tonight.  I showered for the first time in days, put on make-up, and got dressed up. The alcohol made me forget for a while. I was dancing and drinking and I was having fun. Accidentally opening a bedroom door instead of the bathroom door and seeing Jackson half-naked on top of some blonde girl was when everything came back, crashing down. I left, I left and I've been walking in the cold for the past half an hour. My thigh-high boots and the leather jacket I stole from Chan are doing a decent job at protecting my legs from the cold but I still wrap my arms around my body tighter as I go up the familiar flight of stairs. When I reach the top, I notice that the door that leads to the rooftop is slightly open. I walk outside and when the air hits me, I feel like I can breathe again. I closed my eyes and take a deep breath. I take a few steps, aimlessly toward the center of the roof until a male figure comes into view. All I can is his back, that's rising and falling, almost as if he's trying to breathe. His head is down and he's only a few feet from the railing.
"Excuse- " I try to say in a quiet voice.
"Shit!" His body jerks backward, his hand searching behind him for the wall beside the door. "You scared the shit out of me" His eyes snap to mine when he reaches it.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Fuckin hell" He curses under his breath and turns back around, this time with his head up, facing the sky. I found out about the secret door that leads to the rooftop of the dance building only a few months after I first started college and I've been coming here ever since whenever I needed to clear my head. It's the clear view of the whole campus, along with the height, the complete silence, and the occasional, calming breeze that makes me feel at peace and makes all of my problems disappear, even for a few moments. Tonight's the first time I see someone else here. I was kinda hoping that I was the only one that had figured out how to get up here, making it my special place but I guess I was wrong.
"Are you okay?" I dare to ask after a few seconds of silence.
"I came here for some peace and quiet, can you leave? I wanna be alone" He harshly says without even looking my way.
I'm a bit taken back by his response but I choose to ignore it, he seems like he's had a rough night. I bet I look the same.
"Yeah, same." I cross my hands. I can only see his side profile from where I'm standing. His hair is dark and slightly falling into his eyes, his lips big and full and his nose almost perfect. "Do you own this roof?"
He rolls his eyes, not amused by my attempt to joke. "I came here first"
"That's a really mature answer" I laugh and move forward to sit on the small bench that's in the middle of the roof. We're now on the same level but he continues to look straight ahead. His jaw suddenly tightens, and the hand that isn't touching the wall turns into a fist. He looks genually upset and my drunken mind is suddenly curious about the reason.
"If something's on your mind, just spit it out. There's nothing better than talking to a complete tranger about your problems. The fact that we probably won't ever see each other again makes it a lot easier." I say, trying to make him feel a bit more comfortable.
"Is your life going that great that you don't have any problems of your own or is just boring?" He starts pacing back and forth.
Excuse me, what?
"Just because I asked you a simple, human question when I saw that you're obviously upset about something, you think that I don't have my own problems?" I snap at him, getting annoyed. "Not all people are fucking rude out of nowhere."
He brings his hands behind his head, then back down to rub his face. "I'm not rude out of nowhere, I came here to be alone. I'm sorry if I don't wanna deal with some chick that probably wants to avoid her own issues and thinks that solving a stranger's will make her feel somewhat special" His voice rises with each word and his hands are everywhere, from his face to his hair the back to his side, clenching, unclenching. I'm trying really hard to control my temper. Oh, how I despise rude people. I rise to my feet, taking a step toward him.
"You're obviously going through something right now and you want to be alone but you don't have to be a dick about it . I was just trying to be polite." I spit through my clenched teeth.
" I don't want your kindness." He finally stops pacing and turns to face me. His hair is a bit wild from running his hands through it so many times, and his jaw is still tensed but what I notice more is his eyes. They're slightly red. Calm and wary as they stare at me. I study his face for a second. I definetly would remember him if I had seen him around here before, he's gorgeous.
"Have people not been kind to you?" I decide to ask. "Is that it? You're not used to it?"
His eyes shift and a small smile of satisfaction makes it's way to my lips, knowing I hit a nerve. "The world is cruel and people are crueler. There are no 'kind people' , only people that play nice because they want something for you or just wanna use you to feel better about themselves." His face is expressionless.
I narrow my eyes at him, wondering what could have possibly happened in this man's life to make him believe something like that. I smile at him, shaking my head.
"What's so funny?" He raises a brow at me.
"You have such a wrong idea about the world. Yes, people can be cruel, and use you at times but not everyone is like that. Everyone has problems, some bigger than others but at the end of the day, we're all struggling. Being kind to someone costs nothing to you but it may mean the world to someone. You don't know what someone is going through, they might be fighting to stay alive. You don't know what I'm going through, but you were so quick to judge me."
He blinks. His eyes seem just slightly softer than before. He parts his lips as if he's about to speak and then closes them again, almost as if I caught him off guard. He takes a deep breath and rests his back on the wall.
"Why are you so mad at the world?" I break the silence once again. At that, he smiles. His face completely transforms. He's even prettier when he smiles, I think to myself. I walk towards him but stumble on my feet, almost losing my balance. The world is still spinning and I mentally curse myself for drinking so much.
My actions draw his attention "Are you drunk?" He asks slightly amused.
"Well, I wouldn't say it like that" I walk back towards the railing "but I've had a couple of drinks"
He straightens his back and his face hardens in a second. "Hey stop." I stop walking. "You're drunk, don't move to close to the railing."
"I'm not drunk" I roll my eyes. "And stop changing the subject"
"Why do you care?" He groans.
"It's like 3 am, we're 2 strangers on a college rooftop, I'm tipsy and you're for some reason mad. Why not ask questions?" I shrug. "Come on, entertain me and maybe I'll entertain you with my problems." I offer with a smile.
He takes a deep breath and looks at the night sky. I spot the tiniest hint of a smile on his lips. "Why wouldn't I be mad at the world?" He says mostly to himself. "The world's unfair. A cruel place where none gets what they deserve. Life hasn't been kind to me, and people have definitely not been kind to me, why would I be kind to them?" He laughs. It's not a happy laugh.
"People always get what they deserve," My eyes focus on the sky, as I speak, mostly to myself as well. "it's not your fault that you've had shitty people in your life but being like them doesn't make you any better."
"Please spear me the 'treat people with kindness' talk". He slides down to the floor.
"You listen to harry styles?" I say surprised.
He freezes only for a split second. "That's beside the point-"
"What's the point?" I giggle. "Huh? Mysterious stranger, who hates everything?" I question, throwing my hands in the air "No actually let me tell you," I speak again before he has any chance to say anything." The point is that; there's no point" I smile. "The world is coming to an end, and we're all going to die eventually," I walk back and forth, my hands all over the place, my mind still a fuzzy mess. "So just live your life. Stop hating everything and stop giving a shit about other people. Life is unfair, deal with it." I'm now standing in front of him, looking at him like I've just figured out the most amazing theory.  His eyes are fixed on me, searching, analyzing. His lips frown, hands resting on his knees.  His mouth opens and then closes again. His eyes move to his hands and then back to my face.
His lips fall to small smile. "You're drunk. And annoying, and-"
"Right?" I tilt my head to the left, A laugh escapes him, and he shakes his head. After a few seconds, his face falls a bit, eyes focused back on the night sky.
"I don't really see the point"
"Then change it". I fall to the ground beside him.
He looks at me confused. "Change what?"
"Your life. If you don't like it, change it"
He bursts into a laugh. His whole face changes. His eyes are almost closed, little wrinkles appearing on each side from laughing. His lips tug to create a smile, that takes almost half of his face. I stare at him in awe.
"What?" I ask with a smile on my lips as well.
"You make life sound so easy. You present everything about life so simple as if you actually have a saying in everything." He turns his head to me. "News flash kid, there are a lot of things that have happened or will happen in your life that are beyond your control."
"Maybe" I shrug "You're probably right, but giving up on trying to be the happiest you can be is definitely not the answer to your problems."
"And what is?" He half smiles, challenging me.
"Don't you have any dreams? Things you want to do? Places you wanna go?"
He takes a few moments to think before answering. "I used to, yeah. I wanted a lot of things but every time I wanted something, it was taken away from me. So I stopped wanting things. If you don't want anything, you can't be disappointed for getting nothing."
"Yeah, I get it . That's hard but," I pause, and he looks at me from the side of his eyes. "You have to appreciate the little things in life and be grateful for everything." I finally say, repeating the words my mother used to say to me whenever I would think that everything was going to shit.
"You don't know shit about my life" He sifts his body to face mine. His eyes are somewhat harder than before, cold almost. "Stop talking like you do"
I wanna laugh at how defensive he's getting but I don't wanna appear heartless just because I'm drunk and everything seems a little funnier than usual. So instead I sigh, choosing a different approach. "Look, I'm not some optimistic chick who always smiles and only sees the best in every situation."
"You sure act like it" He glares at me.
I wish. I wish I was all the things I present myself to be. I wish I could take my own advice.
"Everyone is fucked up in a way. I just don't need anyone to know how fucked up I actually am. I'm more than all of my problems and mistakes. I'm also my dreams and everything that I've gone through and accomplished. All of us as are." I rest my head on my knees. My words draw his attention. He chooses to mirror my position, resting his own head on his knees. I smile, finding it cute. "Everyone has their own story, and maybe yours is sadder than others's but it's your own story and you're the writer. Scratch people out. Feel free to fuck everything up with a plot twist." I giggle. "Write something better."
His eyes haven't left my face, they bore into mine and for a moment I swear they sparkled. "What are your problems? It's you turn to entertain me."
"There are plenty." I nod my head, smiling.
"Tell me the biggest on right now."
I feel the words in my throat, the words that never actually left my mouth. The words that I've never said out loud let along to another person. I look into the stragner's eyes. "I've been in an abusive relationship for almost a year and I finally found the courage to leave him. " The weight begins to lift of my shoulders. "I've kept that part of my relationship hidden for all of my friends, among other things cause I'm too ashamed to admit that I was so stupid and weak for so long." I break into a laugh but tears begin to fill my eyes, as the realization of the whole situation now that I'm saying it out loud feel more real than ever. It makes me  feel kinda free to finally share this with someone nevertheless.
For the first time tonight his face visibly holds emotion. He takes his bottom lip between his teeth and then he takes a breath, getting ready to speak.
My phone starts ringing. interrupting whatever he was going to say. Chan's name flashes across the screen.
"Hi-"
"Where the fuck are you?" Chan's angry voice comes louder than I was expecting, making me pull my phone away from my ear.
"I'm walking back home" I lie.
"Why would you leave without telling us? And why are walking back home alone at 3 am? Are you stupid or are you stupid?" He sounds a bit out of breath. "Send me your location, we're leaving now. I'll come and get you" He says sternly.
"Okay" I choose not to anger him further and hang up.
I look back at the guy. His eyes are not on me, instead, they're glued to the sky, almost as if he's searching for something.
"I have to go," I quietly say. He doesn't say anything instead he closes his eyes and rests his head against the wall once again. "Next time you'll meet a stranger on a rooftop, don't be an ass." I joke as I lift myself off the ground.
He stays quiet.
"You know a few years back, I saw a quote somewhere, I don't remember where exactly." I giggle as I stumble towards the door. "But it was something like; Always leave people a little better than you found them." I turn to him.
He opens his eyes, keeping his face stays unreadable. I simply stare at him, and he stares back. His eyes sparkle under the dim light of the moon for the second time tonight, gazing towards me In the saddest way I've ever seen, and my heart tightens. Something in his eyes pulls me to him, forces my legs to move forward, and before my mind can catch up, I'm standing right in front of him. He's up to his feet by the time I reach him, lifting his hand to tug a stray piece of hair behind me ear. His touch is so light, that I don't even feel it when his thumb brushes my cheek before lowering his head back down. He exhales a short breath and I'm so close that I inhale it right back. I silently ask for his permission and instead of answering, he wets his lips and tilts his head downwards. A tiny smile makes its way to my lips as I reach forwards and wrap my arms around his neck. He smells like vanilla and cigarettes and I bring my face closer to the curve of his neck. I feel him freeze, probably not expecting me to hug him instead but I stay still, tightening my grip around him. I slowly feel his hands leaving his sides and a few seconds later they wrap around my waist pulling me closer to his chest. He releases a breath I didn't know he was holding and my smile grows. We stay like this for almost a minute, silently holding each other. Just two strangers comforting one another without knowing anything about each other's pain or problems. Moments like these are golden for a person like me.
I pull away, unwrapping my arms from his body and taking a step back.
" I hope you feel a little better. See you around, stranger" This Is the last thing I say to him before walking out the door.

As Halloween night nears and the spooky season is in full swing Y/N and her friends decide to get together for a night of drinks and fun. Y/N goes into her kitchen to root around for more alcohol, she's sure she has some hidden somewhere around her, her beautiful friend Lisa shouts to get her attention asking her to come back into the living room.
Giving up momentarily on her quest for alcohol she shrugs and rejoins her friends, stopping mid step as Jennie holds up a book you'd thought was lost when you moved house a few years ago "what are you doing with that old thing?" She asks with her nose scrunched up in mock disgust "does this shit work?" Jennie asks excitedly almost vibrating in her spot on the floor "fuck no" she laughs as she shakes her head "got given it as a birthday present one year when I was young, it's a load of shit" Y/N goes to reach for the book feeling a sudden need to protect it but stumbles having to catch herself mid air, a feat considering how buzzed she was, when Lisa snatches the book away unexpectedly "what the hell?" Y/N groans throwing herself onto her sofa "sorry honey but I need to look through this thing" she laughs as her nimble fingers flick through the dusty and brittle pages.
As the night continued Y/N had almost drifted off to sleep when a shriek made her jolt upright "who died?" She mumbles making the girls laugh, "nobody, Jennie found some hottie in that book of yours apparently" Alexa giggles as she points to the two girls drooling over what looks like a sketch of a young looking man with striking blonde locks. Y/N's eyes blink a few times as a sense of foreboding and nostalgia settle in her tummy when she looks at the ink "who is this Y/N you gotta tell me!" Jennie giggles drunkenly making her laugh "uhh a lust demon or something if I'm remembering right, haven't read that thing in a long ass time" an excited gasp shoots out of the girls perfectly glossed lips "if he's a demon that means we can summon him right?" She smirks as she wiggles the book in the grasp, the notion of doing something so spiritual in mid October makes all the other girls in the room scream happily.
That dark sense of foreboding returns to her tummy and squeezes at her chest "I… don't think that's a good idea guys'' the girls in the room start moving furniture to make space for the summoning circle they need to draw "why not?" Lisa asks as the two other girls grab supplies such as candles and chalk from around the house "you said yourself the books a load of shit" Y/N's eyebrows crease as she watches the hurried movements suddenly feeling herself start to sober up "worst case scenario nothing happens and it's a bust, best case scenario we get to order around a hot demon" she wiggles her eyebrows at the uneasy girl "who says he'll listen to we say?" Y/N asks "no duh it says so in your book" Jennie nods while pointing to the book in Lisa's hands.
Once everything is ready the girls each sit at a point around the circle and Lisa holds the book out to Y/N "what? I have to read the spell?" She asks with a frown "I don't even wanna do this" she whines "it's your book honey so you get the honours" Alexa smiles as the girls join hands "lucky me" she grumbles but places the book in her lap and holds the hands of the girls to her sides, she recites the spell as best she can from the book and they all wait with baited breath. A few moments roll by but seemingly nothing is happening "what a bust" Lisa moans as the girls all share looks of disappointment "don't look at me, I tried to warn you guys" Y/N shrugs as a long yawn escapes her body, she rolls her shoulders and stands "I think that's me done for the night sorry girls" she smiles sheepishly, they all give her a hug and thank her hosting them.
Once everyone has gone Y/N flops herself down onto her sofa in exhaustion and groans when her eyes fall onto the book abandoned on the floor. Deciding to place the book back on her bookcase where it belongs she turns to get up off the soft surface and picks up the book gently, she rubs her thumbs over the cover and smiles thinking back to her childhood and all the times she thought she was a witch who would summon demons to be her friend when she was lonely. One of the demons she remembers being especially drawn to, he even conjured her a sparkling blue rose once after she'd been bullied at the playground. She tries to remember the names she'd made up for her demonic friends but her thoughts are fuzzy like she's trying to remember a dream of a memory rather than her own actual memories.
The sound of a man clearing his throat suddenly breaks the silence making her physically jump into the air almost dropping the book when she recovers from the shock she looks to find where the noise came from and her eyes almost fall out of the sockets as she can't believe what she's looking at "Been a long time since I was last summoned by you, what a nice surprise" the voice greets her making the blood in her veins run cold "w-what do you mean since I last summoned you? I've never summoned anything in my life" she squeaks in fear "you don't remember me?" he asks, looking almost offended as he makes a move to walk towards her "I know it's been a long time Y/N but-" he's cut off when she points to him with a shaky finger making his eyebrow raise "h-how do you know my name? what's going on?" She steps back from him which makes the demon stop in his tracks as he holds his hands up looking completely confused "you truly don't remember me? at all?" he asks slowly with a look of pain painted across his beautiful face.
She shakes her head "no… the spell worked? How did the spell work?" he takes a deep breath before speaking again "yes...it did work..." he says trying to diffuse the tension in the room "it worked the same way it always has, because you're a witch" he looks deep into her eyes as he waits for his words to sink in "a… a witch? I can't be- I don't u-understand" she tries to slow her breathing as her eyes flit to the summoning circle "why didn't you appear when the girls were here?" She asks confused as he walks towards her making him sigh deeply "how could you have forgotten" he whispers looking so hurt it makes her heart clench.
He clears his throat before continuing "you used to summon me all the time when we were children, we'd play together in this very house, you even summoned my younger brothers a few times" he gestures to the room around him as if to make his point "you were able to summon me then and still can now because you have witches blood coursing through your veins, all the woman of your maternal family line have been practising witches except your mother. She turned her back on the craft a long time ago" his words are making her head spin as she tries to take in everything he's telling her "and finally, I didn't appear before because you were with other humans, of course I heard you call and felt your magic and I wanted to race up to you as soon as I could but once I sensed you weren't alone I waited in the shadows until they left" he sighs trying to help fill the gaps in her memory.
She picks up the spell book as she flicks through the pages hoping it'll help her remember something… anything "I don't remember anything you've said" she frown as his eyes drop to the floor dejectedly "I do remember playing with this book and pretending I could conjure up magical children to play with when I felt lonely but that's all it was right? Just my overactive imagination" he simply looks at her with a small smirk on his face "maybe my presence is helping you remember, that boy you remember playing with… was me. You didn't make it all up, I was real… I AM real Y/N" he thinks for a moment before holding out his hand, a small blue spark shoots from his palm and a beautiful blue rose suddenly appears in its place.
As soon as she sees the rose she gasps, holding her hand over her mouth as she looks up "Chan…? You were real all this time?" A single stray tear rolls down her cheek as he smiles widely and suddenly wraps his arms around her pulling her into a tight hug. They stay like that for a few moments before she pulls back with a confused look on her face "how could I have forgotten you? It's not everyday you just forget you can summon demons out of a magical book" the demon standing before her hums as he thinks while pacing around the room "it's possible that because this all happened when you were a child your mother told you it was all in your head and it's as simple as that or your mother could have used her magical connection to get a warlock to tamper with your memories" a sound of shock leaves her throat "warlocks exist too?" He simply nods his head "how would we know which version happened?" Bang Chan bites his lip as he weighs up his options "I could use my magic to look through your memories but it's an uncomfortable process and it requires immense trust on both parties" Y/N's brow creases as the room becomes eerily silent, the air around them filling with unspoken tension "I'll do it" she resolves as she looks up at his enchanting eyes.
