desperately hugging you after not seeing you for 15+ months as if my body remembered that the thought of this hug had comforted me when i felt cold and imagining helped me feel safe, helped me feel warm, helped me sleep, and still helps me sleep sometimes. is it no wonder i let my mind fantasise about you in a different way now? i don't wish that ever comes out in any interaction with you. but, i know any desire to stay in, develop, and grow that social club will just be an excuse to be around you. i want being there to feel as safe as the imaginary you makes me feel. i do wish you were mine, but i know you were made by hands warmer than mine, and time. someone who was mine, and my age, made by me, would not be of your quality of gold. if i want you, or someone like you, i have no choice but to start by knowing myself better, even if i don't really want to. i guess i have to want to.
#hugging you and shying away from further touch because a) slow reaction and#b) if i could let loose around you i would never let go of you and i'm not allowed to do that.#is this better or is like... living in a crowded apartment block where everyone gossips and nobody has any privacy better?#you know like wong kar wai's in the mood for love#at the social club - nobody cares to look except for you. and it's nervewracking to be observed by you.#actually -- no-one steps out to care for me. or each other. except for you. but everyone looks.#i guess it's nice now -- because... no familiar faces there except for you and some other people a little older than me.#i would ask you what cologne you use and it would become my favourite smell.#it made me so happy lol it was so strong on your hand and even by touch you left so much on my shoulder until i had to wash that jumper#i would sniff it and be happier#am i okay? am i okay? i thought i was in a good time. am i okay? ground myself. don't float away. i have access to institutions#that can help me. that's something. the more established the systems or groups i'm a part of the more grounded i feel.#i don't know if it should be that way.#i hope i don't do something crazy and dangerous just for some sense of connection to something greater than myself.#i wonder how it looked from the outside. the 'girl' who went out and picked up some guy. for the thrill of it. for exploration. for#curiosity. and she couldn't anymore. it was bound to happen. i was floating away -- and i was saved. by a generous system.#a generous... country...#omelas...#it was bound to happen. or i would have ended up honestly probably abusing substances or something.

man i have really been thinking about worldbuilding and exposition in books recently
when i was like, i don’t know, twelve-ish, I picked up this book about a teenage girl in a spy school. and i absolutely fell in love with it - I thought it was incredibly neat how the book just seemed to drop me into the middle of the story, even starting in the girl’s second year. in fact, the main character frequently referenced events from her first year (falling in love with a civilian, things ending badly, finding secret passageways, losing her mother’s trust etc.)
and I actually really enjoyed the fact that the character had a rich and vibrant life outside of what i had read and that the book didn’t go out of its way to explain her past in flashbacks or anything. i understood the main takeaways and why she was reacting to things based on what i gleaned, and more than that i understood the growth of the character, why she was cautious in certain places but reckless in others, etc and i felt smarter for not being handed the answer on a silver platter
anyway it wasn’t until i finished the book and realized there was a sequel that i looked it up and found out that. in fact. i had started with the second book in the series.
oops.
#i will say i genuinely read the sequels and NEVER went back and read the first book#it genuinely felt like i understood the takeaways from reading the second book#it almost felt like i would be doing cammie a disservice by going backwards and undoing the progress she had made#anyway i just remember thinking about how cool it was that the author didn't go out of their way to explain exactly what happened#and yet i was able to understand what happened just by her reactions to this new guy#the oh. OH. of realizing she hadn't fallen in love with a civilian so much as fallen in love with the idea of civilian life#her life being made much more difficult from the loss of trust by her mother and teachers#kind of want to go back and reread it but i feel like reading ur childhood books again sets you up for disappointment#probably not the masterpiece i remember reading#but man it made so much sense bc of COURSE cammie wouldn't just like. give me info about how the world worked. her mum was headmaster.#ofc she knew how the spy world worked smh#so when they were like FUCK the secret passageways we used to sneak out are blocked off bc we got caught last year#we need to figure out either a) another way out of the school unseen or b) find more secret passageways#and i was like !!! yeah! of course! that makes total sense and adds an obstacle for the main character to get though!#and now i also know that cammie a) was sneaking out to see her boyfriend which means it was b) a secret worth hiding for some reason#idk that second book was the only bitch i respect

My mom just sent a message to the family group chat suggesting that my siblings download the 'For the Strength of Youth' magazine on their Gospel Library app and talked about how much the youth magazines helped her testimony growing up and like, cool. Fine. Don't know why the 'sending random spiritual thoughts in the gc' thing started out of nowhere when it hadn't been a thing for a decade but this is just another one of those, and you're ofc allowed to talk about things that are significant in your life.
I don't think sending the 'What I Did When Someone Close to Me Challenged My Faith' article right afterwards was strictly necessary though 🙃
#hi bg mutuals 👋 i'm gonna vent about this from time to time. if any mutuals dont want to see it block the 'apostake' tag#trying not to read too much into it b/c I think I did last time something like this happened#and i dont want to make an ass of myself even if neither time would actually be in front of my parents#but like...i know that they know that one of my sisters is clearly PIMO#they went through her phone a couple weeks ago and i have no idea if they read my texts w/ her#but if they did they probably saw the conversation i had with her about some of the really common shelf-breakers#and telling her to take looking into it at her own pace b/c it's scary and overwhelming#(a conversation SHE started btw)#and when i talked to my parents about the larger context of that whole situation i talked about not having space to step back#and their response was that they give plenty of space b/c they dont make her go to seminary???#that's not the same thing as letting her openly question & potentially leave the church idk what to tell you#like. besties i dont know for sure what caused it (which is NOT making things better. it just feels potentially passive aggressive)#but from my end? it sure looks like it might be a reaction to that. probably not JUST that (friends exist) but.#if you think I'm whispering anti-mormon rhetoric into my siblings' ears just ask me. i'm very much NOT doing that#i'm just. talking? to them? when and if they come to me with questions?#and not making my answer 'well there's a reason our parents raised us in the church! ☺️'#(an actual argument given in the article my mom sent)#hate it. thanks#apostake#jay rambles#ok to interact#im not challenging anyone's faith. my patience though? INCREDIBLY challenged#gotta figure out how to work my way around a 'hey please dont send spiritual thoughts to the gc *I'm in*' talk tactfully#they've been pretty chill about me leaving over-all?? at least to my face#haven't pushed me to go to church w/ them; was fine with me not visiting for easter; didnt try to convince me to not drink coffee; etc#it's just. frustrating that they're not giving my siblings that still live with them that same grace#my sister's 17 ffs#it's very possible im way overreacting to the article. but what is tumblr for if not screaming into the void#religion#mormonism

How I learned to write smarter, not harder
(aka, how to write when you're hella ADHD lol)
A reader commented on my current long fic asking how I write so well. I replied with an essay of my honestly pretty non-standard writing advice (that they probably didn't actually want lol) Now I'm gonna share it with you guys and hopefully there's a few of you out there who will benefit from my past mistakes and find some useful advice in here. XD Since I started doing this stuff, which are all pretty easy changes to absorb into your process if you want to try them, I now almost never get writer's block.
The text of the original reply is indented, and I've added some additional commentary to expand upon and clarify some of the concepts.
As for writing well, I usually attribute it to the fact that I spent roughly four years in my late teens/early 20s writing text roleplay with a friend for hours every single day. Aside from the constant practice that provided, having a live audience immediately reacting to everything I wrote made me think a lot about how to make as many sentences as possible have maximum impact so that I could get that kind of fun reaction. (Which is another reason why comments like yours are so valuable to fanfic writers! <3) The other factors that have improved my writing are thus: 1. Writing nonlinearly. I used to write a whole story in order, from the first sentence onward. If there was a part I was excited to write, I slogged through everything to get there, thinking that it would be my reward once I finished everything that led up to that. It never worked. XD It was miserable. By the time I got to the part I wanted to write, I had beaten the scene to death in my head imagining all the ways I could write it, and it a) no longer interested me and b) could not live up to my expectations because I couldn't remember all my ideas I'd had for writing it. The scene came out mediocre and so did everything leading up to it. Since then, I learned through working on VN writing (I co-own a game studio and we have some visual novels that I write for) that I don't have to write linearly. If I'm inspired to write a scene, I just write it immediately. It usually comes out pretty good even in a first draft! But then I also have it for if I get more ideas for that scene later, and I can just edit them in. The scenes come out MUCH stronger because of this. And you know what else I discovered? Those scenes I slogged through before weren't scenes I had no inspiration for, I just didn't have any inspiration for them in that moment! I can't tell you how many times there was a scene I had no interest in writing, and then a week later I'd get struck by the perfect inspiration for it! Those are scenes I would have done a very mediocre job on, and now they can be some of the most powerful scenes because I gave them time to marinate. Inspiration isn't always linear, so writing doesn't have to be either!
Some people are the type that joyfully write linearly. I have a friend like this--she picks up the characters and just continues playing out the next scene. Her story progresses through the entire day-by-day lives of the characters; it never timeskips more than a few hours. She started writing and posting just eight months ago, she's about an eighth of the way through her planned fic timeline, and the content she has so far posted to AO3 for it is already 450,000 words long. But most of us are normal humans. We're not, for the most part, wired to create linearly. We consume linearly, we experience linearly, so we assume we must also create linearly. But actually, a lot of us really suffer from trying to force ourselves to create this way, and we might not even realize it. If you're the kind of person who thinks you need to carrot-on-a-stick yourself into writing by saving the fun part for when you finally write everything that happens before it: Stop. You're probably not a linear writer. You're making yourself suffer for no reason and your writing is probably suffering for it. At least give nonlinear writing a try before you assume you can't write if you're not baiting or forcing yourself into it!! Remember: Writing is fun. You do this because it's fun, because it's your hobby. If you're miserable 80% of the time you're doing it, you're probably doing it wrong!
2. Rereading my own work. I used to hate reading my own work. I wouldn't even edit it usually. I would write it and slap it online and try not to look at it again. XD Writing nonlinearly forced me to start rereading because I needed to make sure scenes connected together naturally and it also made it easier to get into the headspace of the story to keep writing and fill in the blanks and get new inspiration. Doing this built the editing process into my writing process--I would read a scene to get back in the headspace, dislike what I had written, and just clean it up on the fly. I still never ever sit down to 'edit' my work. I just reread it to prep for writing and it ends up editing itself. Many many scenes in this fic I have read probably a dozen times or more! (And now, I can actually reread my own work for enjoyment!) Another thing I found from doing this that it became easy to see patterns and themes in my work and strengthen them. Foreshadowing became easy. Setting up for jokes or plot points became easy. I didn't have to plan out my story in advance or write an outline, because the scenes themselves because a sort of living outline on their own. (Yes, despite all the foreshadowing and recurring thematic elements and secret hidden meanings sprinkled throughout this story, it actually never had an outline or a plan for any of that. It's all a natural byproduct of writing nonlinearly and rereading.)
Unpopular writing opinion time: You don't need to make a detailed outline.
Some people thrive on having an outline and planning out every detail before they sit down to write. But I know for a lot of us, we don't know how to write an outline or how to use it once we've written it. The idea of making one is daunting, and the advice that it's the only way to write or beat writer's block is demoralizing. So let me explain how I approach "outlining" which isn't really outlining at all.
I write in a Notion table, where every scene is a separate table entry and the scene is written in the page inside that entry. I do this because it makes writing nonlinearly VASTLY more intuitive and straightforward than writing in a single document. (If you're familiar with Notion, this probably makes perfect sense to you. If you're not, imagine something a little like a more contained Google Sheets, but every row has a title cell that opens into a unique Google Doc when you click on it. And it's not as slow and clunky as the Google suite lol) (Edit from the future: I answered an ask with more explanation on how I use Notion for non-linear writing here.) When I sit down to begin a new fic idea, I make a quick entry in the table for every scene I already know I'll want or need, with the entries titled with a couple words or a sentence that describes what will be in that scene so I'll remember it later. Basically, it's the most absolute bare-bones skeleton of what I vaguely know will probably happen in the story.
Then I start writing, wherever I want in the list. As I write, ideas for new scenes and new connections and themes will emerge over time, and I'll just slot them in between the original entries wherever they naturally fit, rearranging as necessary, so that I won't forget about them later when I'm ready to write them. As an example, my current long fic started with a list of roughly 35 scenes that I knew I wanted or needed, for a fic that will probably be around 100k words (which I didn't know at the time haha). As of this writing, it has expanded to 129 scenes. And since I write them directly in the page entries for the table, the fic is actually its own outline, without any additional effort on my part. As I said in the comment reply--a living outline!
This also made it easier to let go of the notion that I had to write something exactly right the first time. (People always say you should do this, but how many of us do? It's harder than it sounds! I didn't want to commit to editing later! I didn't want to reread my work! XD) I know I'm going to edit it naturally anyway, so I can feel okay giving myself permission to just write it approximately right and I can fix it later. And what I found from that was that sometimes what I believed was kind of meh when I wrote it was actually totally fine when I read it later! Sometimes the internal critic is actually wrong. 3. Marinating in the headspace of the story. For the first two months I worked on [fic], I did not consume any media other than [fandom the fic is in]. I didn't watch, read, or play anything else. Not even mobile games. (And there wasn't really much fan content for [fandom] to consume either. Still isn't, really. XD) This basically forced me to treat writing my story as my only source of entertainment, and kept me from getting distracted or inspired to write other ideas and abandon this one.
As an aside, I don't think this is a necessary step for writing, but if you really want to be productive in a short burst, I do highly recommend going on a media consumption hiatus. Not forever, obviously! Consuming media is a valuable tool for new inspiration, and reading other's work (both good and bad, as long as you think critically to identify the differences!) is an invaluable resource for improving your writing.
When I write, I usually lay down, close my eyes, and play the scene I'm interested in writing in my head. I even take a ten-minute nap now and then during this process. (I find being in a state of partial drowsiness, but not outright sleepiness, makes writing easier and better. Sleep helps the brain process and make connections!) Then I roll over to the laptop next to me and type up whatever I felt like worked for the scene. This may mean I write half a sentence at a time between intervals of closed-eye-time XD
People always say if you're stuck, you need to outline.
What they actually mean by that (whether they realize it or not) is that if you're stuck, you need to brainstorm. You need to marinate. You don't need to plan what you're doing, you just need to give yourself time to think about it!
What's another framing for brainstorming for your fic? Fantasizing about it! Planning is work, but fantasizing isn't.
You're already fantasizing about it, right? That's why you're writing it. Just direct that effort toward the scenes you're trying to write next! Close your eyes, lay back, and fantasize what the characters do and how they react.
And then quickly note down your inspirations so you don't forget, haha.
And if a scene is so boring to you that even fantasizing about it sucks--it's probably a bad scene.
If it's boring to write, it's going to be boring to read. Ask yourself why you wanted that scene. Is it even necessary? Can you cut it? Can you replace it with a different scene that serves the same purpose but approaches the problem from a different angle? If you can't remove the troublesome scene, what can you change about it that would make it interesting or exciting for you to write?
And I can't write sitting up to save my damn life. It's like my brain just stops working if I have to sit in a chair and stare at a computer screen. I need to be able to lie down, even if I don't use it! Talking walks and swinging in a hammock are also fantastic places to get scene ideas worked out, because the rhythmic motion also helps our brain process. It's just a little harder to work on a laptop in those scenarios. XD
In conclusion: Writing nonlinearly is an amazing tool for kicking writer's block to the curb. There's almost always some scene you'll want to write. If there isn't, you need to re-read or marinate.
Or you need to use the bathroom, eat something, or sleep. XD Seriously, if you're that stuck, assess your current physical condition. You might just be unable to focus because you're uncomfortable and you haven't realized it yet.
Anyway! I hope that was helpful, or at least interesting! XD Sorry again for the text wall. (I think this is the longest comment reply I've ever written!)
And same to you guys on tumblr--I hope this was helpful or at least interesting. XD Reblogs appreciated if so! (Maybe it'll help someone else!)

"Since it was first identified in 1983, HIV has infected more than 85 million people and caused some 40 million deaths worldwide.
While medication known as pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, can significantly reduce the risk of getting HIV, it has to be taken every day to be effective. A vaccine to provide lasting protection has eluded researchers for decades. Now, there may finally be a viable strategy for making one.
An experimental vaccine developed at Duke University triggered an elusive type of broadly neutralizing antibody in a small group of people enrolled in a 2019 clinical trial. The findings were published today [May 17, 2024] in the scientific journal Cell.
“This is one of the most pivotal studies in the HIV vaccine field to date,” says Glenda Gray, an HIV expert and the president and CEO of the South African Medical Research Council, who was not involved in the study.
A few years ago, a team from Scripps Research and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) showed that it was possible to stimulate the precursor cells needed to make these rare antibodies in people. The Duke study goes a step further to generate these antibodies, albeit at low levels.
“This is a scientific feat and gives the field great hope that one can construct an HIV vaccine regimen that directs the immune response along a path that is required for protection,” Gray says.
-via WIRED, May 17, 2024. Article continues below.
Vaccines work by training the immune system to recognize a virus or other pathogen. They introduce something that looks like the virus—a piece of it, for example, or a weakened version of it—and by doing so, spur the body’s B cells into producing protective antibodies against it. Those antibodies stick around so that when a person later encounters the real virus, the immune system remembers and is poised to attack.
While researchers were able to produce Covid-19 vaccines in a matter of months, creating a vaccine against HIV has proven much more challenging. The problem is the unique nature of the virus. HIV mutates rapidly, meaning it can quickly outmaneuver immune defenses. It also integrates into the human genome within a few days of exposure, hiding out from the immune system.
“Parts of the virus look like our own cells, and we don’t like to make antibodies against our own selves,” says Barton Haynes, director of the Duke Human Vaccine Institute and one of the authors on the paper.
The particular antibodies that researchers are interested in are known as broadly neutralizing antibodies, which can recognize and block different versions of the virus. Because of HIV’s shape-shifting nature, there are two main types of HIV and each has several strains. An effective vaccine will need to target many of them.
Some HIV-infected individuals generate broadly neutralizing antibodies, although it often takes years of living with HIV to do so, Haynes says. Even then, people don’t make enough of them to fight off the virus. These special antibodies are made by unusual B cells that are loaded with mutations they’ve acquired over time in reaction to the virus changing inside the body. “These are weird antibodies,” Haynes says. “The body doesn’t make them easily.”
Haynes and his colleagues aimed to speed up that process in healthy, HIV-negative people. Their vaccine uses synthetic molecules that mimic a part of HIV’s outer coat, or envelope, called the membrane proximal external region. This area remains stable even as the virus mutates. Antibodies against this region can block many circulating strains of HIV.
The trial enrolled 20 healthy participants who were HIV-negative. Of those, 15 people received two of four planned doses of the investigational vaccine, and five received three doses. The trial was halted when one participant experienced an allergic reaction that was not life-threatening. The team found that the reaction was likely due to an additive in the vaccine, which they plan to remove in future testing.
Still, they found that two doses of the vaccine were enough to induce low levels of broadly neutralizing antibodies within a few weeks. Notably, B cells seemed to remain in a state of development to allow them to continue acquiring mutations, so they could evolve along with the virus. Researchers tested the antibodies on HIV samples in the lab and found that they were able to neutralize between 15 and 35 percent of them.
Jeffrey Laurence, a scientific consultant at the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) and a professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, says the findings represent a step forward, but that challenges remain. “It outlines a path for vaccine development, but there’s a lot of work that needs to be done,” he says.
For one, he says, a vaccine would need to generate antibody levels that are significantly higher and able to neutralize with greater efficacy. He also says a one-dose vaccine would be ideal. “If you’re ever going to have a vaccine that’s helpful to the world, you’re going to need one dose,” he says.
Targeting more regions of the virus envelope could produce a more robust response. Haynes says the next step is designing a vaccine with at least three components, all aimed at distinct regions of the virus. The goal is to guide the B cells to become much stronger neutralizers, Haynes says. “We’re going to move forward and build on what we have learned.”

HEYYYY It's the anon that requested the cheating ex with bsf Felix. I wanted to thank you for taking my request and I was beyond blown away by your writing. I was wondering if I could request a prt 2. where we find out the exes reaction. Possible plot could go out as ex calls the reader and starts telling her how sorry he is and felix is just blowing her back out while she attempts to be quiet👏

"fuck baby , fuck yourself on my cock." he grunted , slapping your ass. "fuck you look so fucking good like this." he praised. "your pussy is so fucking good."
you were so out of it , so fucked out that you hadn't realized your phone was ringing , but felix had , noticing the name right away — this pissed him off , had your ex not gotten the hint? why hadn't you blocked him? he felt jealousy bubbling up in his system , he stopped , making you whine.
"why-why'd you stop?" he reached over , grabbing the phone. "why is he still contacting you?" he squeezed your ass. "i -i don't know." he smiled evilly. "here baby." he handed you the phone. "answer it." your eyes widened.
"b-but— fucking answer the phone." you shakinly grabbed the phone , answering the phone. "h-hello , hmph." he forced your face back against the bed. "(name) , is that you?" your ex's voice spoke through the phone , just as felix started to move his hips again.
"wh-what do you want." you weren't even paying attention really , too busy trying to cover your moans while he went on a rant. "i-i'm so sorry , i didn't mean what i did , you know how much i love you."
felix wanted to hear what he was saying. "put it on -fuck- put it on speaker." he cursed , you knew he'd notice the slapping sound. "he'll hear." felix didn't care. "fuck princess , i don't care , put it on speaker now." he delivered another smack to your ass.
you sat the phone near your head , clicking the speaker. "(name) , please take me back , i love you, i don't know what to do without you." felix rolled his eyes delivering one thrust that had you whining. "(name)?"
you were so far gone , biting your lip. "(name) , please answer me , you know felix can't treat you better than i can baby." felix's eye brow quirked up. "i saw the video (name) , we both know those aren't your real moans , only i could get those moans out of you." he didn't have clue in the world.
felix had enough , grabbing the your hair , whispering your ear. "don't hold back those moans , i want that dick head to hear how well i fuck you." he thrusted deep inside you , a scream emitting from your mouth. "fuck felix!"
he plowed into you , your ass bouncing against him. "fuck , such a pretty ass , should i fuck it too?" he moaned. "your pussy can barely take me , i bet you your ass would choke my cock." he growled , you moaned , nodding your head. "maybe next time , i want this tight cunt tonight."
you were a moaning mess , long forgotten about the phone , but felix didn't , he noticed your ex still hadn't hung up the phone. "look at that baby , we still have an audience." he grabbed your jaw , forcing you to look. "you think he finally got that these are you real moans , and that he just wasn't fucking you right, hm? that he never made you cum." he darkly chuckled.
"felix , deeper please." you whined. "deeper? aren't i deep enough?" he said still obliging , thrusting into you as deep as he could , your orgasm sneaking up on you . "oh my god." your mouth hung open as you came.
"oh fuck , you made such a mess , i wish i could show him this is how you make a girl cum." he kept fucking into you. "gonna cum inside you , fill you with my cum." he moaned. "fuck , he's still on the line , i bet you he's seething that you never let him cum inside you — fuck im cumming , take my cum." he stilled his hips , his cum pooling into your cunt. "good girl."
he pulled out of you , watching the cum leak out of you. "fuck baby your little hole took all of my cum." he pushed it back into you , you whined. "i'm done baby , i let rest." he kissed your sore body. "i'll go get you something to clean you up." he got up , taking your phone with him.
"don't contact her anymore." he said. "i should've known she'd leave me for you , what were you two always fucking on the side? she'll come running back , she always does." felix chuckled. "she left because you're a cheating asshole , and now im gonna go take care of my girlfriend."
"and as you just heard the way she was begging for my cock , we both know she won't be back."

WORTH THE WAIT | l.williamson x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: after three years of long distance, finally leah and you end it. all those years apart was definitely worth the wait.
author notes: i been having writers block for like two weeks now and finally my mind thought up something to write. hopefully you guys enjoy it 💓
contains: leah williamson x reader, so much fluff, lesbians being cute 😱😱😱😱, it's a long one y'all hang on, wonky timeline maybe, aj not knowing how football contracts work but it's okay it's fiction!
playing hit different by sza, the neptunes, pharell williams, ty dolla $ign 🎵
Tumblr media
the saying is that distance makes the heart fonder and that's definitely true. however, it also makes the heart yearn deeply. you would know about both sides of the coin after three straight years of long distance with a certain gorgeous blonde. a certain footballer who just so happens to be captain of the lionesses. a certain british woman who name is leah williamson.
you met her by chance in ibiza while on vacation with a few of your teammates. technically it wasn't the first time you met her since you two have played against each other before at the club level and national level, but it was the first time you guys truly spoke. the first time you really observed her and noticed how pretty the english player really is. you have been out in a club with some other real madrid players. enjoying the last few days of vacation before international break started.
while dancing somehow someone have spilled their drink all over your dress, so you had to go to the bathroom. you reassure misa, the closest person to you, that you were just going to the bathroom and didn't need any help before leaving. the older woman just gave you a quick nod then getting back to dancing.
the bathroom was thankfully empty when you entered. you went straight to one of the sinks to check your dress in the mirror and the sight of a huge strain across the front of it made you let out a long sigh.
"what the hell.." you mumble under your breath. trying to think up a way to make this situation better than what it is. you land on just taking some paper towel, wetting it, and then wiping away at the strain so that your dress wouldn't smell like alcohol the entire night. then you internally reminded yourself to go grab someone's jacket once out of the bathroom. while you're busy wiping, really more like scrubbing, you don't seem to notice someone coming out of one of the stalls behind you. the squeaky noise of the one of the stall doors opening doesn't make you look up but the sound of water cutting on beside you does.
you look up to see one of the most gorgeous women you have ever seen in your life. okay, maybe that is most of the alcohol talking but some of that statement must be true. it is in your head at the moment at least. you don't recognize the blonde right away, but she feels strangely familiar.
"don't scrub too hard. might make your whole top fall off, yeah?" the pretty blonde says in a nice english accent that feels so familiar. her words don't register in your mind right away, but when they do you laugh; loud enough that it sorta shocks you then you laugh at your own reaction.
"yeah, i shouldn't scrub so hard.. but someone spilled their stupid drink all over my dress. i just bought this yesterday too!" you explain as you straighten up. momentarily forgetting about the strain on your dress that has only gotten bigger since you got in here. the blonde lets out a light laugh of her own, clearly amused.
"tough situation, huh? i would be a little frustrated too," this weirdly familiar woman's tone feels sorta like she's teasing and that fact (really more of an assumption) makes you whine involuntarily. you set the paper towel in your hand aside on the sink before stepping closer to this blonde. you point a finger at her, a frown on your lips, "don't tease me. i'm actually a little mad.. and it's unfair that you have a jacket and i don't."
apparently your drunk bluntness doesn't scare off the pretty blonde as she laughs again. that makes you pout even though her laugh is great to listen to. still, why is she laughing at you?
you scoff then turn back to the sink. about to go back to scrubbing at your dress when she speaks up, "you can have it if you want. this one is old anyways."
you look over at her to see the leather jacket off of her body, instead sitting in her hands. there is a shy glint in her eyes that you notice, but don't say anything about. it appears not so mystery blonde that you just can't figure out is not as chill as she seems. wanting to be a little petty for how she laughed at you, her words are met with silence for literally only two minutes as you give in pretty quickly. it isn't your fault really. who would turn down a pretty woman with a nice accent offering her jacket? no one who's single and has any type of braincells.
"hm.. thanks," you smile as you accept the jacket. immediately putting it on. it's warm surprisedly (you always thought leather would be cold) and smells of strawberries. "really saved my ass. that paper towel and water was not working." your blunt words makes the blonde laugh. this time quite loudly and that makes you laugh.
"yeah, you're welcome. it looks great on you anyways," and now you have gotten a compliment from the pretty woman. you have to get out of this bathroom before you end up making out with her. you thank her again then throw away the paper towels you used and finally go to the bathroom door so you can leave.
you look back at the blonde though, wanting to have just one last look at such a gorgeous sight.
she smiles at you then winks, "don't worry about returning the jacket. it's yours." you decide not to respond, leaving out of the bathroom.
the rest of that night was spent partying before eventually everyone decided it was time to go back to the hotel and chill out. that night when you took that jacket off, your drunken mind tried to figure out why that pretty blonde in the bathroom was so familiar but you just couldn't put your finger on it. not wanting to stress yourself out too much when you can hardly walk straight, you put it off for tomorrow morning and get into bed. drifting to sleep the moment your head hits the pillow.
in the morning, you don't even have to spend much energy to figure out why that blonde from yesterday was so familiar. thankfully you had a sensible enough mind last night to put your phone on the charger before knocking out. the first thing you do after waking up is check your phone; an habit you should probably drop but that's something for later you to worry about.
first you check your messages, not having that many unanswered. replying back to your parents saying good morning before going on instagram. you already knew your story was packed with photos from last night and you have probably been tagged in almost all of your teammates stories, always jumping in a photo when having the chance. you spend a good amount of time liking stories and scrolling on your feed before even checking your dms. the moment you do, you notice a new dm from someone you would never expect to talk to you outside of football; leah williamson.
the arsenal defender has never really spoken to you outside of matches. however, she did follow you back after an international friendly and has even commented on some of your posts. usually those comments were kept quite simple though. just a congratulations here or you look good there, sometimes just emojis. the thought of leah dming you has never slipped into your mind ever. you both are professional footballers, but beside that you felt like you had nothing in common with the blonde.
you click on the dm, narrowing your eyes at what is said: hope my jacket was comfortable for the rest of the night 🤍 sorry about your dress though. it was cute
the message makes you scramble to remember last night. only small flashes of last night appear in your mind. you remember someone spilling a drink on you then having to go to the bathroom and some parts of the conversation with that pretty stranger. that really pretty stranger who seemed so familiar to you, but the alcohol was kicking your ass so you didn't even recognize that that stranger was actually leah wiliamson and that's why she looked so familiar to your eyes.
only when your eyes glance over to a chair in your hotel room that has a leather jacket laying on it is when your mind connects the dots; leah williamson's jacket is in your hotel room right now. you were wearing leah williamson's jacket for half of the night. your mind is still playing catch-up, so no blush rushes to your cheeks at all. only slight shyness creeps it's way into your mind.
you spend way too long on figuring out what to respond with. eventually you settle on a simple thanks 🩷 too bad someone ruined it. you add on i can return your jacket btw.
after that, due to pure shyness and also the fact you don't smell the best right now, you get up out of bed. leaving your phone on the sheets while you go clean up; taking a nice long shower (it's not like you're paying the hot water bill anyways, might as well indulge) and doing your skincare. you decide to put your hair into a simple ponytail before changing into a simple croptop and jeans. you plan to go out for brunch in a few with of your teammates who happen to be awake.
you end up back on the bed soon enough. laying across it as you try to pick a show to watch, an actual struggle since this hotel seems to have bought a cable package with horrible selection. in the end, some random drama that seems slightly interesting is what ends up being picked. too bad you don't even pay attention to it as you look on instagram again to check if leah replied back.
in the back of your mind you wanted to push the idea that she has much better things to do than talk to you, but you fight back against that idea.
the blonde has given you her jacket and said you could keep it, she had winked at you when you left the bathroom, and even complimented your outfit that was strained with alcohol. if she was annoyed by your presence then she wouldn't have done all that. now you aren't cocky enough to say the defender is interested in you, but you are secure enough to realize she doesn't find you annoying.
you click on the chat with leah and her words surprise you,
leah
i'll only accept the jacket if you let me take you out
only if you want to, of course. no pressure love
okay, scratch that, leah williamson is interested in you. she's literally asking you out. not wanting to leave her waiting, you text back a quick, of course i want to. you have to get your jacket back someway, right?
on the other side of the screen, leah laughs at your text. your cheekiness definitely matches your personality from yesterday. good thing that wasn't just a drunk y/n thing. the blonde is sitting in her own hotel bed, having just eaten some breakfast she ordered from room service. however, she's not even full so eating some more would be nice. she messages you back right away, righttt. let me take you out for brunch? i'm starving.
the little sure, williamson message she gets back from you is all it takes for her to get up out of bed and to change into something more suitable than her pajamas.
that brunch led to even more dates, hours long facetime calls, sneaking around to see eachother alone before & after matches, and much more. leah and your relationship blossomed into something great. the english player is truly a good partner; caring, understanding, always seems to want to spoil you, and has the worst sense of humor that somehow makes you laugh every single time.
the only downside to this relationship was the fact you two were long distance. with you playing for real madrid and leah playing for arsenal, you were countries apart. it wasn't that bad though the first year of your relationship because england to spain isn't the worst travel in the world so you two always found time to get away with eachother. that changed when you transferred leagues, leaving europe behind to play in the nwsl.
there was a sense of guilt in your conscience when you finally agreed to sign with the north carolina courage. leah and you already spent less time than wanted away from each other now you're an entire continent away. even with leah's reassurance that you shouldn't let her stop you from going after what you want in your career, the guilt didn't fade away until the next time you saw the blonde. then your mind was finally able to settle down while you played your first season with the club.
it's only when leah tore her acl is when the guilt came rushing back. you couldn't support her physically right away, but you texted her constantly and eventually was able to fly back to england to take care of her. hearing about how leah tore her acl, but not being able to be there for her right away felt almost as heartbreaking as the fact she tore it.
eventually you had to get back to your own career though. still always supporting leah from afar and close when you had the chance. being in the nwsl really made your career go to the next level. after two seasons in the league though, you were ready to go back to europe, back to leah.
your transfer to arsenal is something you have been thinking about for a while now. even asking people close to leah like beth and lia for their opinions on your decision just to see if you weren't being too rushed with it. good thing in everyone else's perspective leah and you seemed very serious, on a track straight to engagement. being at the same club seemed to be the right thing at the moment.
you kept this transfer a secret away from leah though. wanting to surprise the defender who always complained that she missed you and wished you lived closer. now you will finally be fulfilling that wish of hers.
leaving the north carolina courage after two amazing seasons with the club nearly made you cry (okay, you cried), but you knew it was worth it. sitting on the first flight to london, all you feel is content and a strong yearn for leah. good thing you're on your way to her.
Tumblr media
seven hours later and you land in london. you are welcomed with open arms by alessia and lotte who you told about the transfer as well. leah is basically the only person who doesn't know yet since arsenal nor north carolina courage has made any public statement about your transfer. the only reason your old teammates knew is because you told them and a select few of arsenal players know because again you told them. the moment the contract was finalized, you were on the first flight over here so there wasn't much announcing to be made.
"you know leah been bothering me lately. she said you been acting all strange," alessia says as she links arms with you. lotte takes your luggage even though you tell her not to, but the woman is too sweet to not help out.
"yeah. she's been pouting around the training grounds for like three weeks now," lotte chimes in. you let out a soft laugh at the image of leah sitting around day to day with a small pout on her lips. her arms crossed across her chest of course in her typical leah williamson fashion.
you reply back to both, saying, "i can see that. she's been pouting to me too, but i kept telling her that everything is fine."
"maybe that's why she went to beth and ranted that you must be about to break up with her.." alessia says. before you can even laugh, lotte starts to rant about how leah has been bothering her about you. asking all these questions and trying to get lotte to spill anything she knew.
"i had to fight her off by saying i would tell kim she's harassing me," lotte finishes her rant right when you three reach alessia's car. lotte ventures away from you to put your luggage in the trunk while alessia gets in the car. you get in as well, sitting in the passenger seat. lotte grumbles when she gets in the back seat, "why do i have to sit back here? i bought your luggage all the way out here but you get shotgun?"
"because i'm a guest duh," you look back at her.
lotte is quick to disagree with you, "you live here now!"
"oh my god.. she's new here though, so she gets shotgun. sorry lotte," alessia shrugs then snaps in her seatbelt. you and lotte do the same before going back to arguing over if you're actually a newbie since you have been to london so many times now that you basically live there (well you do live there now but still).
the blonde lets you two have at it while she drives to leah's house. when you recognize the familiar street, you tell lotte to shut it and turn to alessia.
"can you call her and ask her to come outside? i want her to be taken completely off guard," you ask alessia. the english player agrees right away. calling leah, half of the conversation being the younger woman trying to convince leah to get out of bed and come outside. leah agrees only because alessia promises to buy her snacks.
in the time it takes leah to come out, you're already out of the car, luggage by your side. when your girlfriend steps out of the house, alessia and lotte are already gone. there is a look of confusion in leah's eyes when she sees that alessia's car is nowhere to be seen. once her mind registers the fact that it's you standing there infront of her house, she furrows her brows in confusion.
"love..? what are you doing here?" leah steps out of her house, leaving her front door slightly open as she walks down her steps towards you. the bright smile on your lips makes her smile too.
you speak when leah pulls you into her arms for a hug, "i thought i would surprise you, baby."
"that, you did," leah says against your ear as the hug continues, "but still what are you doing here? you're a whole week early."
okay, maybe, your flight to london wasn't entirely spontaneous. you and leah have been planning for you to come to london for a while now with the nwsl season ending right before the wsl season starts. moving your flight a week early wasn't a hassle. the only real surprise in you coming here is the fact you aren't leaving, but of course leah doesn't know that yet.
"let me tell you inside. why is england so chilly?" you joke. leah just rolls her eyes, grabbing your luggage after gesturing for you to go inside. you walk up the steps then stop to look at her. how can someone look so pretty just pulling luggage?
leah stops at the bottom of the steps, furrowing her brows at you, "go inside before you freeze, woman."
you stick your tongue out at her before going inside her house. leah lets out a sigh at your childishness, continuing to bring your bags up the steps. once inside she finds you already having your shoes and jacket off in her kitchen making tea. the blonde leaves your luggage by the couch before making her way into the kitchen. hugging you from behind as you lean against the counter.
"sooo.. what were you going to tell me, baby?" leah pecks your cheek then rests her head on your shoulder as the tea brews.
you stay silent for a short moment, wanting to tease her just a little but of course you couldn't leave her waiting for long. you say, "i'm transferring."
leah lets out a sound of surprise. she tries to think back on whether you ever told her about anything regarding a transfer. usually you told her about everything, but it's obvious you have been keeping this to yourself for whatever reason.
"transferring.. where?"
"to your favorite club."
"but my favorite club is arsenal.." leah lets you go so she blinks out of confusion. you smile when she finally connects the dots.
"you're transferring to arsenal? you're transferring to arsenal! why didn't you tell me?" leah rushed to pull you in her arms. basically picking you up in celebration, only setting you down when you had to get the tea. that doesn't mean she let you go though. the blonde clings to your side as you pour the tea in two mugs then you move slowly, due to the woman who is attached to your side, to the couch. leah letting you go for only a minute so you can set the mugs of tea down without burning yourself. when you sit down on the couch, she's back to being a koala.
"i wanted it to be a surprise," you smile at your girlfriend. she pulls you closer if that is even possible.
"it's a great surprise and a horrible surprise because now i have to hurt lotte for keeping this secret away from me," leah says, partially serious partially sarcastic.
"you have to what?"

Masterlist || Spotify Playlist
Of all the places you'd been where you thought of Spencer Reid and your paths crossing again, you never expected it to actually happen here.
The club was lit so low, so you didn't really expect it to be him, your ex-something, not quite boyfriend, far from nothing, situationship maybe? But there he was.
Not just him, but all of them. The BAU, minus their bosses, were all dancing and drinking at various points around the club, having fun but still being vigilant.
You're surprised you notice him before he notices you, but you're not surprised that it doesn't take him much longer.
You're not exactly here to blend in with the crowd.
The low-cut dress with the lower-cut bust line is already getting as much attention as you'd expected it would, and that doesn't go unnoticed by Spencer as he finally drags his eyes over to the commotion you've made in the corner.
“I don't know you,” you tried to politely explain to the creep who'd blocked you in with one arm. “I'm just waiting for my friend, please leave me alone.”
“Let's have some fun, baby, you, me, that body you're hiding under those scraps of fabric. I'll make you scream, I promise.”
You'd scoffed the first few times he'd made similar remarks, but he was tenacious, and he didn't understand the word “no,” and was vaguely unfamiliar with “leave,” “me,” and “alone” too.
You'd scanned the room for a friendly face and had locked eyes with the man you'd been waiting six months to meet again. Perfect timing.
Of course, he'd picked up on your discomfort and walked your way, and of course, he'd bought back-up.
“Y/N, you should've sent me a text when you got here!” Emily Prentiss expertly grabbed your wrist and pulled you into a hug, as the man was forced to let you move.
“Sorry, I got a bit sidetracked,” you mumbled, still feeling the weight of the creeps gaze on you despite your newly inherited guard dogs.
“Come on over to the table, baby girl, we got bottle service. I'm going big tonight.” You tried to thank Morgan as well, but the smile you sent him didn't reach your eyes as you consciously avoided Spencer's gaze.
“You know these people, babe?” The stranger from behind you put a hand on your waist as he pulled you back a step, leaving you stumbling wide eyed until your back was to his chest, shoulders unconsciously rounding into a protective stance as you tried to shrug hum off.
“For the last time, let go of me. I don't know you, and I don't want to know you. This is your last warning.” You rounded on the man, turned your back to the other three agents, and tried to calm your thoughts to see his next reaction.
“Stuck-up bitch, I said you're coming home with me tonight.”
You made sure his last attempt to grab you was his last attempt to grab any woman as you flipped him onto his back, your fellow agents behind you pulling their guns and handcuffs to helpfully lead him out of his hunting grounds.
You'd hadn't wanted to see Spencer Reid again so soon, and you certainly hadn't wanted to enlist the entire teams help on a serial rape case, but it wasn't your final decision to make.
And honestly, you'd been glad for the help in the take down, with your office so understaffed.
After reading the creep his rights, seizing the date rape drug he'd planned to slip into your drink later that night, and the knives and rope in his card that he was planning to also use on you, you were just thankful that you had all the help you could get.
Now that you were back at the station at 4am, with nothing but aching muscles from handing the nearly 200 lbs man his ass to him on a platters and aching feet from doing it in heels, you wanted nothing else than for the last week to erase itself.
Six months absence from the BAU wasn't long enough to fall out of love with Spencer Reid, and you never thought it would be.
A year was all the time it had taken to fall head over heels for the man, and you'd assumed you could reverse that in the same time, so you'd left.
It wasn't a leave of absence but a strategic departure to a task force in Rapid City, where rape numbers were spiking. You were still doing your job, that was the important part.
You changed into your comfortable clothes in the locker room and grabbed your bag, ready to head out for the night, picking up your keys to head home. You only got two steps out of the room when you ran into him.
“Early start?” He joked, looking at you again with that hesitant half-smile he'd worn the entire week he'd been here.
“Late night.” You replied. It had been a joke you'd developed after so many unusual shifts, so many 3am run-ins where neither of you could find the effort to make actual polite conversation so you'd said the two sentences and sat in amicable silence, often rested against each other as you let exhaustion carry you through the night.
“Can we talk? We're leaving in the morning, and I…” he struggled to find the words, jaw clenching and releasing the way it always did when he couldn't put his emotions into words just yet.
“Sure. But not here. My apartment is a five minute drive.” He nodded and followed you out of the building as you primed your heart to shatter into pieces again.
The drive home was quiet and peaceful, too late for natural traffic, and too early for the morning commute to begin. You made it home in record time and led him inside the apartment you'd chosen.
You flipped the light switch and kept you back to him while you completed your daily routine, trying your best to ignore that he was standing in your doorway. You tried not to be curious about what he could tell about you from the doorway, what the lack of decoration meant, how different it was from that cosy box room three blocks from his apartment, how cold it seemed instead.
So you kept your eyes off him to not have to answer the questions he'd likely have.
“So what did you want to talk about, Spence?” You almost cursed yourself for how easily the nickname slipped from your tongue. You'd heard JJ call him that a few times your first week in the office and assumed it was something everyone used for him. The way he flushed red when you said it the first time was engraved in your head, those first heavy beats of your heart alerting you to oncoming danger.
You grabbed two bottles of water from your fridge and walked back to your living room, where he was still stood taking things in.
“Spencer?” You asked again, holding out the bottle.
He took it with a small smile of thanks, and you led him over to the sofa, urging him to talk again.
“What did you want to talk about?”
“You… you didn't say goodbye.”
You knew this was coming, but you hoped he wouldn't have the courage to ask you the questions you knew were about to arrive at your door.
“I'm coming back in six months, Spencer. I didn't say goodbye because it wasn't going to be goodbye.” You'd turned this excuse over in your brain enough to know it was a weak argument, but you hoped your friendly smile would reassure him.
“You didn't tell anyone you were leaving until you were gone. That hurt a lot.”
“I didn't want to hurt you. Everything was just so fast. I had to take the offer immediately, or they would've moved onto someone else. You understand, right, Spencer?” He sat back, resigned, and nodded again slightly.
But a silence built up as he stared at you, and your hands got all sweaty the way they always did when he paid attention to you. You couldn't just stare everywhere else until he broke the silence again.
“How is Rachel? I haven't heard from her in a while.” You blurted the words under the weight of his gaze.
And you knew you'd said too much in those two sentences.
You'd first introduced Spencer to your college roommate after you realised you were in love with him. You'd spent a year at the BAU, and you thought he felt the same way, too.
You hadn't said anything, but you ate together at his apartment weekly, and you went on outings - dates, you'd thought they were dates - to museums and movies. He'd slept over at your house once, and you'd never felt happier than waking up with his arms wrapped around you.
So, of course, you'd taken him along to a party your friend from college was throwing. You'd nearly introduced him as your boyfriend, and looking back, you were glad Rachel had cut you off before you could.
“Is this the famous Spencer Reid? You're cuter than I thought you'd be.” You saw the flirtatious spark in her eyes, heard her tone, and felt uncomfortable.
You felt even worse when she took his hand and led him off to introduce him to more of your friends without a glance back at you.
For the first hour, you were worried about him, knowing that he never did great in social settings. You contented yourself by catching up with old friends, nursing a glass of wine, and trying not to follow him around the room with your eyes.
You'd given up and sat miserably in the corner for the next hour before you'd decided you wanted to leave. This time you'd had to track him down.
It wasn't that you'd found him in any compromising situation. He was just sat on the couch, smiling and talking to her. But when you said you wanted to go home, and he'd agreed to drive you back, she'd grabbed his hand.
“So Tuesday, 8 pm, right? It's a date." He nodded and said his goodbyes, and you wiped all of the emotion off your face so you didn't break down right there.
He talked to you as he drove back, but you could only nod and hum in response.
You shrugged off his concern as you walked into your apartment alone and let your heart break.
You were in Rapid City the next week.
“Your friend from college? I'm….I'm not sure.” He looked genuinely confused down at you as your lungs capsized in on themselves.
“Oh, right.” You nodded again and forced out a yawn, desperate to get rid of him before he could climb back into your heart again and roost there.
“You didn't keep in touch with her after you moved?”
“We had… a disagreement.” It was a kind way to put what had happened. You'd sent her one text asking her what all of that was at her party, and she'd sent you a paragraph back the day of her date with Spencer calling you pathetic and lonely and jealous. And then she'd blocked your number.
“That sucks. She seemed nice.” You couldn't help but scoff at his words, completely forgetting your plan to ask him to leave. Of course, he thought Rachel was nice. He'd been half in love with her by the end of that party.
“What was that for?” He asked, the words spilling out quickly as his eyes narrowed, eyebrows furrowed.
“Nothing. It's late, Spencer.”
“I don't think it was nothing. Why are you asking me about your friend? Why would I know?” He was on the edge of his seat now, and you needed desperately to put some space between you. You stood up and stretched, moving to clean up a pile of papers you'd left on your coffee table that morning.
“You certainly seemed interested six months ago, Spence. I just assumed there was a second date after that first one. My bad.”
You moved to your kitchen, bit he followed you.
“What do you mean? Y/N?” You weren't listening though, instead organising and cleaning things at a quick pace so your brain didn't have to focus on his question.
“Y/N, look at me. Please.” He stepped closer his chest nearly against your back as his hand found your wrist.
It was involuntary, but you relaxed into his familiar grip, your body finally content, and now it was back in his arms.
“Or don't look at me and just listen to me. I don't know what you're talking about, but I never went on any date with Rachel. I wasn't interested in her like that, I was interested in-” He stopped short, frustration ebbing his voice off as the silent words hung between the two of you.
You finally turned around to look at him, and you could see the hurt in his eyes.
He whispered his question again.
“Why didn't you say goodbye?”
“Because my heart was broken, Spencer. Because I took you to meet my friends and I thought I was going to introduce you as my boyfriend, but instead I got ignored the whole night and then you arranged to meet with her and she called it a date. I loved you, I love you and I couldn't say goodbye because then I'd have to hear about it. About how you were happy without me, when I was lonely and broken without you.”
You didn't know you were crying until the tears his your lips. He wiped then away, but they still tasted salty as you licked your lips.
“I didn't come to work for a month,” he confessed. “After you left, I tried to give Hotch my resignation letter. He wouldn't tell me where you went. I came back but it wasn't the same without you.” His forehead rested against yours, noses touching as his words came out barely above a whisper.
“I can't come back, Spencer. Not until I don't feel this way anymore.”
He didn't miss a beat before pressing his lips against yours.
“Don't.” He said between kisses, pinning you against your kitchen counter as he gripped your waist in one hand. You didn't pull away, even as you felt your hot tears flow freely.
“Don't stop loving me. Please.” His voice broke as he pulled you in for a hug, wrapping his arms tight around your back, pinning your hands to his chest as sobs wracked through your body.
You'd held onto this pain for a year and it was all spilling out now.
He looked at you again and started kissing each tear away, lifting you up until your legs were wrapped around him, and he was as close you you as he could possibly be.
“Love me forever. Please.”
You pulled his head away to look at him again, searching for reassurance again that this wasn't going to be one-sided.
“What about you? If I love you forever, which I don't think I have a choice in, how-”
“I love you. I loved you then, I love you now, I will always love you. I don't know how it wasn't clear when I followed you around every second of the day.” He kissed you with each confession, looking angry at himself that he'd never said the words before.
“I asked your friend how I should ask you to be my girlfriend. She had a lot of ideas and said we should meet up and talk about it. I didn't know…” He cursed, not quite as quietly as he'd attempted to. The strangeness of it shocked a laugh out of you, the rumble of it vibrating through your chest. He still held you tightly, but he looked at you again, getting out of his head.
“What's funny?”
“You tried to quit your job to look for me.”
“You moved to South Dakota instead of asking what we were.”
“You kissed me before you told me how you felt.”
“You kissed me back and then you laughed at me.”
“You swore!” You laughed again, and you were sure that he was going to have to put you down this time. You were laughing so much.
Instead he pulled you tighter into his arms and walked out of the kitchen.
“Is this the bedroom?” He asked nodding towards the closed door.
Your laugh quieted at the charged question, until your eyes found his lips as you nodded.
“Good.”
You let him lay you down on the bed before you pulled him in for another kiss, this one more fiery than any you'd shared in the kitchen as he hovered over you on the bed.
“Spencer!” You gasped as his hands trailed under your shirt. You regretted changing out of that small dress now, regretting the amount of fabric between you and him as his hands glided up to your breasts, mouth pressing kiss after kiss into your neck and collarbone.
He nestled his knee between yours and climbed fully over you, pushing your legs open as he showed you where you were going next. You moaned as your back arched into his touch, rubbing yourself against him but still needing him closer.
“I love every sound you make.’ He whispered as his other hand worked its way under the sweatpants you'd thrown on earlier, silently pushing them down your legs as you lifted your hips to help him once again.
His mouth connected with yours again after he got them to your knees, hand pressing flat against your stomach as you finished off the job.
He laid next to you, pulling his lips off your own as you trailed after him. But his eyes weren't on you anymore. You followed his gaze to his hand and watched him slip his fingers under your panties as he began to tease your sensitive parts.
You whimpered slightly as the contact, as he gathered some of your wetness and ran his fingers up and down your sensitive parts.
His lips found your ears. “Just like that. I want to hear you just like that. Whimper for me, Y/N. Beg for me. Let me know how much you want this.”
You gasped as he started rubbing slow even circles around your clit, his body still rolled to the side so he could watch intently the pleasure on your face.
It was near voyeuristic, his eyes focused on your face, the pants of air escaping your lips, the way your nipples had hardened, and had become visible through your shirt.
You hadn't been able to wear a bra with your dress earlier, you wanted to explain, but you couldn't find the words.
“Look at your body reacting to me. You need me to make you feel like this.” He whispered, lowering his head to press a chaste kiss over your clothed nipple. “Right?”
“Yes, fuck, yes Spencer. I need you.”
“Here. Can you feel how much I need you, too?” He grabbed your hand in his free one and pulled it over his erection, instructing you silently on how to hold it and rub it.
“I can feel it, Spencer. Please, please fuck me.” Your voice felt alien to yourself. You'd never had that high of a sex drive before, so you'd never thought you'd ever have to beg for it. But there was something in the tender touch of Spencer's fingers that has you desperate to feel him inside you.
“Do you have condoms?”
“No.”
“Birth control?”
“Yes, yes, please, Spencer. Please, I don't care.” His pace had picked up, his fingers moving slightly rougher than before, but you knew you were close as he kept massaging your sensitive clit.
You knew you were going to cum before you felt him inside you, you knew you'd want to cum again. You were going to be forever insatiable because of this man.
He kissed his way across your skin as he peeled your shirt and his clothes off, leaving your panties for last as he watched you grind your cunt into his fingers.
“I love you,” he whispered In your ear as he stroked his cock, watching your body convulse as you came just at his touch.
He kept his lips close to your ear as he entered you during the throes of your first orgasm, whispering again when he had slid his entire length into you. “And you're mine.”
You were intoxicated by his touch, cum drunk as he began thrusting and you wrapped your legs around his waist.
He nipped and sucked at your neck, listening to you moan and whimper as he pulled out and entered you again and again, head thrown back into the sheets of the bed you'd been too eager to climb underneath.
A few minutes of thrusting and he gripped your waist and sat you up on his cock, moving his hands to your thighs as you wrapped your arms around his neck as he bounced you steadily on his cock.
“Shit, Spencer, you're…so…deep,” you pulled him in closer, burying your head in his neck as you deafened as embarrassing squeal.
You came again on his cock as he used you like a flashlight, his own pants and groans soundtracking your breathless orgasm.
“That's it, good job, Y/N,” he cooed at you, lowering you back onto your back and thrusting shallowly through your convulsions. When you'd recovered slightly again, he gently pushed your legs up, stretching you so your knees were as far back as they could go, splayed open so they were almost touching the bed.
His forehead rested against yours again as he held you in place, keeping his eyes locked on yours as he snapped his hips into you with long, quick thrusts that had you gasping again for the breath he was forcing out of your lungs.
“I love you. And you are mine.” He said. “I love you, and you are mine.” The words were a mantra to him as he worked himself to the edge.
“Yes, yes, I'm yours. I love you, I'm yours, Spencer.” He came with a whimper, releasing inside of you and collapsing gently into your arms as you readied yourself to hold one another for the rest of eternity.
