The Type to: Block B Edition
Zico: The type to have condoms stashed in every room just in case. ‘Cause you never know when you’ll need one in the pantry.
Taeil: The type to be so nervous he eats the chocolates he bought you before your date. But it is okay! He filled it with chicken nuggets and dipping sauce instead.
U-Kwon: The type to pretend he’s okay. Yeah, he broke his arm when he fell a minute ago ice skating, but he doesn’t want to cry or freak you out.
Kyung: The type that only watches the same 10 movies over and over and never feels the need to venture out and see another or add another to his favorites.
Jaehyo: The type to not put the lid on the blender correctly and make a complete mess. He will clean it up himself without being asked though, so you can relax.
B-Bomb: The type to “Not realize” that the lush bombs and bubble bath in your bathroom were yours and “accidentally” on purpose use it.
P.O: The type to tuck you in when you fell asleep before he got home and not even re-tuck you when he realizes he didn’t leave enough blanket for himself. He’ll just cuddle closer.

Werewolf!Block B when their love interest is a witch// PO
A/N: omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg YES. But also in all seriousness, I’ve noticed every writer has their own take on the werewolf/fantasy world in general. So if I write something you’ve never heard of before it might just be one of my own headcanons of their world. Also, this was requested as a group but as I wrote, all of them began getting lengthy and decided it was better to release individually. It was suppose to be headcanons but I got carried away (ಥ﹏ಥ)
Taeil ❤ BBomb ❤ Jaehyo ❤ Ukwon ❤ Kyung ❤ Zico ❤ PO
Po
literally doesn’t change a thing
not a second thought,
but he does love it when you cast spells,
he watches you as if you’re setting off a fireworks show
but this dood would be too busy lovin’ on you to care
he would even forget you’re a witch sometimes
“hey, you wanna go for a run?”
you would kind of just stare at him so a second,,
“OH! Uhhh, we can go on a two legged jog still,,,,,,, if you’d like”
you just grab his head and scruff up his hair a little bit while giggling
“It’s okay, I’m good. I need to practice casting anyway”
a very sharp quick reply from him, eager,
“what kinda casting????”
you pause a little, is he up to something?
“well, I dunno, there’s a lot I could practice, why?”
he gets a little flustered, looking down, avoiding eye contact, playing with the hair on the back of his head,
“During some out hunts, i kinda noticed this nice open-ish spot. i thought you might like it,,,,,,,,,, forforfor practicing that is,,,, there’s a little pond too”
“what are we waiting for?”
“hm?” he eye brows shoot up a little while restoring eye contact
“lets go, it does sound nice”
he gets all bouncy and excited
i̶m̶a̶g̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶i̶f̶ ̶a̶b̶o̶v̶e̶
as you guys head out he partially shifts to allow quicker travel and increase his strength and stamina
burying your head in his shoulder or neck you hold on for dear life
but the clearing was so precious,
it was, well, a clearing, a small pond, few small bushes, all surrounded by trees
as you begin to wander a bit he stops panting and asks,
“Sooooooooo, what now?”
you look back at him,
“well, this was your idea. But I’m gonna practice.”
taking out your book you begin,
all he can think to do is just watch you
he is 102% content with that
you don’t notice but he goes up to a bush ruffles around with it
pulls two granola bars from it
tossing one at you from behind, giggling to himself
you panic and flinch,
instead of casting a possession spell on a fish like intended,
it was cast onto a tree, you’ve never tried that before
never tried casting a possession spell on something without motion life
once your sight transferred to the tree you went stone still,
Pyo, unbeknownst to whats going on, begins apologize, getting no reply from you, begins to panic more.
you can only go back to full control of your own body if you command it,
that’s a little difficult to do if a part of your soul is residing in a stationary being
Pyo begins tearing up a little, your body is only doing tiny tiny tiny motions but he is just confused and if feeling guilt of immense proportions,
all he wanted to do was give you some nutrients!!
he didn’t mean for this!!
the wind gives a strong gust which allows you to move enough to chant yourself out of the tree
taking a strong gasp when you return fully to your own body,
you have the urge to smack him as hard as you can, but you’re just glad you’re okay and too relived to be back to normal,
“never. do that again.”
even though you were trying to scold him, all he could do was give you a few pecks and pull you into a hug
“̶w̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶d̶i̶d̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶g̶r̶a̶n̶o̶l̶a̶ ̶b̶a̶r̶ ̶a̶n̶y̶w̶a̶y̶?̶?̶?̶”̶

Asthma Attack
Disclaimer: I do not have asthma, so I am only going off on what I believe happens during an attack and from what my friends have told me(and maybe the internet) so if you have asthma and I get something wrong, please tell me so I can fix it. Thank you. I got the idea from remembering that Zico had asthma when he was younger(though I'm not sure if he still has asthma or not) and I tried to make this as real as I could so I hope you enjoy
You made your way down the streets of Seoul after a long day at work. You decided to make your way home to your apartment before heading over to Seven Seasons Entertainment building to see your boyfriend Jiho and the rest of his group; Block B. As you headed to your apartment, your phone rang. Taking your phone out of your purse, you smiled as you saw the caller ID name. Woo Jiho read on the screen of your phone. You smiled as you answered your phone. “Hey you, I was just about to call you.” You said as you made your way up to your apartment door and began to key in your security code on your door. “Oh really?” Jiho responded with a chuckle. You smiled as you opened your door and took your shoes off as your door closed behind you with the click of the lock shortly after closing.
“Yeah really! I should be over at the studio in 15 minutes. I just need to change out of my work clothes and grab something to eat. Sound good?” You walked to your bedroom and walked to your dresser.
“Yeah that sounds good jagi. I’ll see you soon.” Jiho responded, sounding a bit out of breath. You frowned as you noticed how out of breath he sounded.
“Jiho, are you ok? You sound really out of breath. Do you need me to bring your emergency inhaler?” You looked around your room and spotted the small emergency inhaler on your small desk.
“No baby, I’ll be fine. I’m just a little tired is all.” He reassured you. You sighed. After dating Jiho for almost 8 months, you quickly found out how stubborn he can be.
“Alright, just make sure to take a break while you guys practice ok?” He agreed and then you hung up. Changing out of your work clothes and into a pair of light blue jeans, a white plain t-shirt and a black bomber jacket, you made your way out of your room and towards your small kitchen. You opened your fridge and grabbed some leftover rice and a spoon; then you began to quickly eat the rice.
After you devoured the rice, you quickly put your sneakers on, as well as grabbing your purse, and made your way out of your apartment and towards the studio. There were days that you were glad that the studio was only a 10 minute walk from your small apartment. When you finally got to the studio, you walked through the front door and went to the receptionist. She looked up at you and smiled.
“Hey Y/N, here to see Jiho?” She asked, you nodded with a smile on your face. She looked at the time and frowned a little, something that you noticed easily.
“The guys are still in the dance studio practicing. I’m not sure if you want to go ahead in since their manager is having them practice non-stop for their concert coming up. Did you still want to go in?” She looked up at you from her desk, waiting for your answer.
“Yeah, I mean I wont be in the way with them practicing.” You said, she nodded and let you go to the dance studio. You made your way down the corridors, straight to the dance studio. As you got closer to the dance studio, you could hear the music playing from the room. The closer you got, you recognized the song. It was Very Good and they had the music playing almost at full volume. Once you got to the door, you opened it knowing that knocking wont do any good. You looked into the room and saw Jiho and his members dancing as best as they could since it was clear that they were exhausted. You remained by the open door until the song ended. Once it did, the boys immediately fell to the ground in exhaustion. The choreographer looked over at you and then at the guys.
“Alright, you guys can have a 10 minute break and then we go back at it, ok?” The members groaned in response to the question. P.O looked up at the choreographer, and then noticed you at the door. He smiled as he waved you over. You walked over to the exhausted members and sat down next to Jiho, who was breathing heavily, more heavily than the others.
“Jiho, are you ok?” You asked, looking at him with a worried expression. The other members looked at you with their own worried expressions. Jaehyo was the first to speak.
“ He’s been saying that his chest has been hurting for the past hour or two. We keep telling him to take a break, but he won’t listen.”
“Because..I don't need a b-break.” Jiho said, struggling to get a breath in between his words and letting out a cough followed by a short inhale of air.
“Jiho-hyung hasn't been doing so good since we started doing rehearsal back to back.” P.O said with a sad look. You looked at the youngest member and then back to your boyfriend, who started to cough a bit more as well as some wheezing.
“Jiho? Are you ok?” You asked again, this time with a bit of panic in your voice. The panic in your voice caught the attention of the choreographer, back up dancers and their manager; and they rushed over to see if he truly was alright.
“Jiho, breath! Take a deep breath.” Their manager said as he rushed over to him. You looked at your boyfriend, who was barely breathing properly due to all the coughing that he was doing.
“Guys...his lips are starting to turn blue.” You pointed out. What was happening to your boyfriend? Was he having an asthma attack? Everything seemed to slow down as you watched everyone gather around Jiho. You didn’t know what to do, you’ve never seen him have an asthma attack before except for the small attacks, where he quickly grabs his inhaler and uses it causing the attack to stop. But you just froze, you didn’t know what to do. It’s like time had slowed down just for you while its like time for everyone else had stayed the same.
“We need to get him to the hospital, now!” Their manager practically yelled out as the back up dancers picked Jiho up, throwing him on one of the dancers back and making their way to the open door. You and the other members quickly got up from the floor and did your best to follow the back up dancers, who sprinted down the hall and out to the parking lot. They got Jiho in the car and rushed him to the hospital, while you and the members got into a car and rushed to the hospital, trying to keep up with the choreographer, the dancers and Jiho.
Once everyone caught up to the back up dancers and the choreographer, they already got Jiho a doctor, who had put him in a room. You rushed over to one of the dancers, who was sitting in the waiting room.
“Where’s Jiho?!” You asked frantically, looking around with pure panic written all over your face. The members and dancers quickly moved over to you.
“Y/N, calm down. Jiho will be okay, he’ll be fine.” U-Kwon said, putting his hand on your shoulder. You sighed and nodded. You knew that the doctors in Korea were very good so you started to relax. You sat down next to Jaehyo and Taeil while B-Bomb, P.O, Kyung and U-Kwon went to the receptionist to get information on Jiho’s condition. After waiting for who knows how long, a doctor walked over and looked at the group.
“Is everyone here for Woo Jiho?” Everyone looked at the doctor and nodded.
“How is he doing?” The manager asked, walking up to the doctor.
“He’s doing much better. We were able to stop the asthma attack just in time. Right now, he’s currently resting right now but he was asking for his girlfriend Y/N.” The doctor said as he looked over at you. You looked at the doctor and stood up from your seat.
“I can go in and see him?” You asked as the doctor nodded.
“I can go ahead and take you in to see him.” You nodded as you walked off with the doctor down the corridor heading to Jiho’s room. When you and the doctor got to his room, the doctor knocked on the door and opened it; letting you in. You walked in and saw Jiho laying in a hospital bed with a nasal catheter on as well as an IV connected to his arm. He looked over at you and gave you a small smile.
“Hey there” He said as he sat up a little in his bed. You slowly walked over to him and sat on the edge of the bed and held his hand.
“I’m sorry that you had to witness that. I didn’t mean to scare you like that.” He apologized as he gently brushed his thumb across the top of your hand, comforting you.
“Jiho...it’s ok. I’m just glad that you’re ok. But please, next time someone tells you to take a break, please take the break.” You said as you gently hit his arm. He chuckled and nodded.
“You got it jagi.” You smiled and leaned down towards him and kissed his forehead.
“I love you Jiho”
“I love you too Y/N”
Thank you so much for reading this, I know its a little rushed but I wasn't sure how to end it

G1 Climax A block scenarios
OK, so New Japan Pro Wrestling is doing the G1 Climax, and the block finals are coming up in a few days--the A Block final is October 18, and the B Block final is on the 20th. I'll preview the cards for both shows later, but the fun thing to do right now is go over all the potential scenarios for who can win the blocks.
For newbies: The G1 Climax tournament is round-robin style. There are two blocks of ten wrestlers, and each wrestler is scheduled to compete in nine matches. At this point, everyone has had eight matches. The ninth matches all happen in the block finals, and at the end of those shows we know who won the block. The A Block winner then faces the B Block winner on October 21.
Heading into the block finals, there are usually a bunch of guys who still have a chance to reach the finals. But it gets complicated, sort of like figuring out which baseball team gets a wild card spot in the playoffs. For fans of Japanese wrestling, examining all the possible scenarios is an annual tradition. It's kind of silly, when you think about it, since it's all fake and the outcomes of all the matches were decided weeks ago. But think of it like trying to predict how a book series will end while you wait for the last book to come out.
This year's B Block is very straightforward, but the A Block is a real boondoggle. This may take a while, so you might want to get a snack.
Here are the A Block standings going into the block final. Reading from left to right, the white circles and squares are wins, and the black circles/squares are losses. The squares specifically indicate that a match was forfeited--Tetsuya Naito had to withdraw after a real knee injury. Each win is worth 2 points, and a loss is worth 0. So we can see that Kota Ibushi has won 6 matches and lost 2, giving him 12 points so far. He has one match left to go against KENTA (who spells his name in all-caps because it looks cool).
It's possible to earn only 1 point in a block match; if the match goes to a 30-minute time limit draw, both men earn 1 point. It's also possible for both men to get 0 points from a match, if they're both counted out or disqualified, or if the match is declared a no-contest. However, these outcomes are fairly rare in the G1.
Four men lead the block at 12 points--Kota Ibushi, Shingo Takagi, Zack Sabre Jr., and Kenta. In theory any of them could win two more points in the block final. But since Ibushi and Kenta are facing each other, they can't both win. (Kinda funny how two of the guys with the highest scores just happen to be scheduled to meet in the block final, ain't it?) So at most we can only get a three-way tie at 14.
When multiple wrestlers are tied for first place, the tie is broken by checking their records against each other. For example, Sabre won his block match against Ibushi, so we would say Sabre holds the tiebreaker over Ibushi.
Let's suppose Ibushi, Takagi, and Sabre finish at 14. Ibushi is 1-1; he beat Takagi but lost to Sabre. Takagi is 0-2. Sabre is 2-0; he beat both of the other guys. So Sabre wins the block. Seems simple enough.
What if Kenta, Takagi, and Sabre finish at 14? With those three, each of them is 1-1 against the others. I'm actually not totally sure how this is resolved, but this sort of thing is very rare, which means NJPW doesn't explain the rules much, which makes it even less likely the relevant rules get posted somewhere I can look them up in English. What I've heard is that you check each man's record against the wrestlers who finished immediately below them. But to do that you have to consider the potential outcomes of more matches.
If Kenta, Takagi, and Sabre are in first place with 14, that means Ibushi has lost to Kenta, so he still has to be at 12 points. Assuming nobody else gets to 12, Ibushi is in second place. Kenta and Sabre would hold tiebreakers over Ibushi, so it comes down to those two. Kenta holds the tiebreaker over Sabre, so he Kenta the block.
However, it's possible for one other wrestler to finish at 12, if Tomohiro Ishii wins his last block match against Toru Yano. Takagi is 1-1 against Ibushi and Ishii. Sabre is also 1-1. Kenta is 2-0, so he wins the block. Astute observers may point out--hey, since Ibushi has a tiebraker over Ishii, can they both really be in second place? The truth is, I really don't know, because I've never seen anyone explain it in that much detail. But as we've seen, it wouldn't affect the outcome in this particular situation.
With the three-way ties out of the way, the two-way ties are much more straightforward:
Ibushi 14, Takagi 14 -> Ibushi wins the block
Ibushi 14, Sabre 14 -> Sabre wins the block
Kenta 14, Takagi 14 -> Takagi wins the block
Kenta 14, Sabre 14 -> Kenta wins the block
Sabre 14, Takagi 14, Kenta 13, Ibushi 13 -> Sabre wins the block
Of course, it's also possible that Sabre and Takagi will both lose, and the winner of Ibushi vs. Kenta will simply stand alone at 14. I don't expect that to happen, though. The final block match for Takagi, the IWGP world heavyweight champion, is against Yujiro Takahashi, a prelim guy. Stranger things have happened in pro wrestling, but Yujiro beating Takagi? In the immortal words of Gorilla Monsoon, I find that highly unlikely.
There is also the chance of a tie in first place at 13 points, if one or more time-limit draws occur. But I think that's a very remote possibility. For one thing, like I said, Takagi is almost certainly beating Yujiro and going to 14. On top of that, time-limit draws are rare, and I've never heard of a pro wrestling show doing two or more in one night. I'll leave these scenarios as an exercise for the reader.
Another wacky edge case would be if nobody finishes with more than 12 points. This would require at least three matches on the show to get thrown out, to keep Ibushi, Kenta, Sabre, and Takagi at 12. If Ishii beats Yano, you could then end up with a five-way tie. But now we're firmly in "What if everybody gets food poisoning?" territory, so I won't get into all that.

If you’re a Taehyung stan, please read this
Okay, at first i wasn’t gonna talk about this because its kind of a touchy subject, a little controversial and honestly I don’t feel like giving clout to this person. So for the sake of this post I will not even mention her name.
(No, no, wait. Don’t get any wrong ideas. This has nothing to do with Shipping Wars or the whole Tae-hates-Jimin-agenda blahblahblah.)
I don’t know if you guys have noticed that a fairly new youtuber arose with this weird AF channel, messy as hell videos and honestly people in general were ignoring her, almost little to no views and zero comments.
But what drew my attention was that in the past days (5-6 days or so), she suddenly starts mentioning Taehyung in her videos (title and all) along with L*e J*nghyun of CN//Blue. And the first thing that came to my mind was:
“Oh my god... not this shit again with the whole B*rning S*n issue and people still trying to connect Tae into this whole mess.”
Because we KNOW how hard people have been trying to create scandals out of nothing for BTS. So, of course I stupidly clicked on it to see what it was all about.
AND HO-BOY ....WAS THIS ALOT TO UNPACK...
So this girl, who is NOT Korean (could be American, but I’m not sure), Is dead-ass alleging to have not only met Le* J*nghyun through tumblr was it? (and maybe later on they kept chatting elsewhere) But that she somehow got into an ONLINE RELATIONSHIP with him for a span of 4 years. A relationship that, according to her, became toxic real quick. Making her a victim of (online) abuse by this Idol.
Now, you might be wondering: “Okay, but what the fuck does this have to do with Taehyung?”
So get this.
This girl?? Is not only claiming to have been in an ONLINE relationship with a Korean Idol that she says she met on tumblr or whatever. But she is also stating that Taehyung is a direct witness to this “relationship”. Because according to her, she and Tae have been “really close friends/best friends (ONLINE)” since 2015 and they have this “special bond/relationship” where Taehyung supposively used to call her on her cellphone frequently.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT!
That Taehyung himself tried to stop or warn her about getting into that relationship with J*nghyun. That he “called her the same day that she accepted” and now “regrets not waiting a few minutes longer” to for his call, otherwise “she wouldn’t have accepted.”
OH MAN HOLYSHIT, BATMAN!
I know!
This all sounds like some deep ass AO3/Wattpad level, Idol/fem!reader, scenario type of shit.
But wait! THERE’S MORE.
This girl is reaching SO FAR that she made up this WHOLE ASS analysis/theory stating the following:
- That Taehyung has been living with a lot of regrets since then. (Funny she would say this, when there’s a post she wrote on her twitter saying that she didn’t recognize Taehyung UNTIL RECENTLY since she “met him in 2015 [ONLINE] before he became famous” as if BTS debuted in 2015 instead of 2013. So her story is full of contradictions all over)
- That whenever he sings, he is singing TO HER.
- That all of his solo songs (Stigma, Singularity, 4 O’ Clock, Scenery and even Winter Bear) were ALL written by him, ABOUT HER and what she went through and the guilt he “still feels” for not being able “to save her”. So this “makes her happy” to know that “Tae still thinks about her all the time.” (When WE, as ARMY, KNOW that Namjoon is the one who wrote Stigma based on Demian, 4 O’ Clock which is a song Tae secretly dedicated to JIMIN, and Singularity. Whereas Tae wrote and composed the last two [Though he did needed help from Namjoon for Winter Bear since its 100% in english and he didn’t know if he had worded it correctly].)
That the reason WHY Taehyung refuses to speak of the issue is because Le* J*nghyun’s company is secretly blackmailing/threatening BTS/Bighit to keep quiet (But how could she possibly know this when she doesn’t speak Korean, has never been to Korea and doesn’t seem to have any online friends in the kpop fandom. Much less K-armys unless she’s following or buying info from sasaengs and EVEN THEN--).
But if you think that’s bad/borderline delulu???
The worse part is that she has both a Twitter and Instagram where she writes these things EVERY SINGLE DAY, AT EVERY HOUR. Talks about Taehyung ALOT and in a very creepy, almost stalker-ish matter (also, she ONLY speaks of Taehyung, she never mentions the other members by name, only BTS as a whole/group). And uses every single trending topic/hashtag she can find for the day to bring attention to her posts.
If the trending topic is TrumpsImpeachment? She’s using that.
MentalHealthAwareness? Yep, been there done that.
sexscandal and politics? She’s using those too.
EmpoweringHumanity? BreastCancerAwareness? She’s using it.
A new Anime trending?? She’s on it.
OH AND DID I MENTIONED THAT SHE IS TAGGING BTS AND TAEHYUNG TOO ON THESE POSTS?
NO?
WELL SHE IS.
*EXHALE....*
I... don’t know what this girl is trying to prove, I dunno if she’s just a regular clout chaser/anti spreading rumors/overly obsessed fan cause she is even calling herself “one of many Armys”. And I honestly found it so offensive from her part to be calling herself an ARMY so freely, while at the same time saying that she was gonna expose Taehyung and get him dragged into this scandal one way or another if he, himself, doesn’t "come clean” on his own.
And the reason why I won’t mention her name here is because this is slowly starting to blow up and a lot of people (from different fandoms and even NON-Kpop fans) have started calling her out on her bullshit while also reporting her accounts for slander. I can give you the name through private message, but not here.
So if you guys ever come across something like this or this person and it seems shady as hell. Don’t give the person any attention, just do the typical thing we do: Ignore, Report, Block, and Walk Away (If you can send a screenshot to K-armys to have them report it to Bighit, do so as well).
Don’t engage, because its very clear that this girl is hungry for attention and I’ve seen her use the “mental illness” and “race card” (since she is also a po*c) way too many times in her defense. So for all we know, she could be just trying to provoke the fandom/s and cause a reaction or get a few to attack her directly so that she can come around and drag everyone like it has happened before.
==================
UPDATE: After receiving much backlash & hostility for her behavior, the girl had no choice but to come clean with her claims. And admitted that she did in fact made everything up from the beginning and in addition also admitted to having a serious (personal/emotional/mental) problem which made her believe (in her mind) that she really did have this relationship with an Idol whom she has never met.

High Security, High Scalability and High Efficiency: Linus Enables Multi-Scenario Transactions
Finance is a credit economy, and in recent years, innovation and change has been the main theme of the financial sector, in the search for innovative points and change, financial institutions, whether on the bush business model or credit mechanism, has been looking for multi-directional change ideas, with the rapid development and widespread use of information technology, the integration of traditional finance and Internet technology continues to deepen, to a certain extent, has also given rise to profound changes in financial services changes. At the same time, financial innovation based on the Internet and other technological forces has formed a spectacular phenomenon in the financial field today: digital finance.
For some time now, digital finance, with technology and data as its core, has significantly changed the development pattern of the financial industry. Digital finance has leveraged technological innovation to create new business models, business processes and products that have not only facilitated the development of the traditional financial industry, but also given rise to a new digital financial industry.
The Linus platform has emerged to allow global users to enjoy a free, convenient and fun digital asset trading platform, allowing global users to trade anytime, anywhere and enjoy the huge dividends brought by the trading platform by participating in activities. Its unique technical architecture ensures high security, high scalability and high efficiency of trading.
SpringSecurity
SpringSecurity is based on the Spring Framework and provides a complete solution for Web application security. In general, Web application security consists of two parts: user authentication and user authorization.
(a) user authentication: verify whether a user is a legitimate subject in the system, that is, whether the user can access the system. User authentication generally requires the user to provide a user name and password. The system verifies the user name and password to complete the authentication process.
(b) User authorization: Verify whether a user has the authority to perform a certain operation. In a system, different users have different privileges. For example, for a file, some users can only read it, while others can modify it. Generally, the system assigns different roles to different users, and each role corresponds to a set of permissions.
Linus Multi-chain Hybrid Architecture
The Linus trading platform blockchain uses a multi-commons chain hybrid architecture that is designed to meet industry- and enterprise-level applications and support a variety of complex scenarios.
One of the main goals of the hybrid architecture is to establish a smart contract model based on the equity consensus mechanism (PoS) and support for UTXO. The hybrid architecture fully supports the "mobile-oriented" strategy to expand business application possibilities. The "mobile-oriented" strategy enables the hybrid architecture to bring blockchain technology to more Internet users and to gradually decentralize PoS transaction validation.
Aggregate Transaction Engine
The Linus aggregation system uses a pooled bidding model. Since orders are not generated continuously in a blockchain system, but discrete by block-out interval, Linus does not use a continuous bidding algorithm for orders like most centralized exchanges, but periodically aggregates orders by centralized bidding according to the block-out interval.
Ending
With its unique high security, scalability and efficiency, the Linus platform helps users to trade in multiple scenarios as a way to reap the dividends of the digital age.

Not-Actually-the-Best Local SEO Practices
Posted by MiriamEllis
It’s never fun being the bearer of bad news.
You’re on the phone with an amazing prospect. Let’s say it’s a growing appliance sales and repair provider with 75 locations in the western US. Your agency would absolutely love to onboard this client, and the contact is telling you, with some pride, that they’re already ranking pretty well for about half of their locations.
With the right strategy, getting them the rest of the way there should be no problem at all.
But then you notice something, and your end of the phone conversation falls a little quiet as you click through from one of their Google My Business listings in Visalia to Streetview and see… not a commercial building, but a house. Uh-oh. In answer to your delicately worded question, you find out that 45 of this brand’s listings have been built around the private homes of their repairmen — an egregious violation of Google’s guidelines.
“I hate to tell you this…,” you clear your throat, and then you deliver the bad news.
If you do in-house Local SEO, do it for clients, or even just answer questions in a forum, you’ve surely had the unenviable (yet vital) task of telling someone they’re “doing it wrong,” frequently after they’ve invested considerable resources in creating a marketing structure that threatens to topple due to a crack in its foundation. Sometimes you can patch the crack, but sometimes, whole edifices of bad marketing have to be demolished before safe and secure new buildings can be erected.
Here are 5 of the commonest foundational marketing mistakes I’ve encountered over the years as a Local SEO consultant and forum participant. If you run into these in your own work, you’ll be doing someone a big favor by delivering “the bad news” as quickly as possible:
1. Creating GMB listings at ineligible addresses
What you’ll hear:
“We need to rank for these other towns, because we want customers there. Well, no, we don’t really have offices there. We have P.O. Boxes/virtual offices/our employees’ houses.”
Why it’s a problem:
Google’s guidelines state:
Make sure that your page is created at your actual, real-world location
PO Boxes or mailboxes located at remote locations are not acceptable.
Service-area businesses—businesses that serve customers at their locations—should have one page for the central office or location and designate a service area from that point.
All of this adds up to Google saying you shouldn’t create a listing for anything other than a real-world location, but it’s extremely common to see a) spammers simply creating tons of listings for non-existent locations, b) people of good will not knowing the guidelines and doing the same thing, and c) service area businesses (SABs) feeling they have to create fake-location listings because Google won’t rank them for their service cities otherwise.
In all three scenarios, the brand puts itself at risk for detection and listing removal. Google can catch them, competitors and consumers can catch them, and marketers can catch them. Once caught, any effort that was put into ranking and building reputation around a fake-location listing is wasted. Better to have devoted resources to risk-free marketing efforts that will add up to something real.
What to do about it:
Advise the SAB owner to self-report the problem to Google. I know this sounds risky, but Google My Business forum Top Contributor Joy Hawkins let me know that she’s never seen a case in which Google has punished a business that self-reported accidental spam. The owner will likely need to un-verify the spam listings (see how to do that here) and then Google will likely remove the ineligible listings, leaving only the eligible ones intact.
What about dyed-in-the-wool spammers who know the guidelines and are violating them regardless, turning local pack results into useless junk? Get to the spam listing in Google Maps, click the “Suggest an edit” link, toggle the toggle to “Yes,” and choose the radio button for spam. Google may or may not act on your suggestion. If not, and the spam is misleading to consumers, I think it’s always a good idea to report it to the Google My Business forum in hopes that a volunteer Top Contributor may escalate an egregious case to a Google staffer.
2. Sharing phone numbers between multiple entities
What you’ll hear:
“I run both my dog walking service and my karate classes out of my house, but I don’t want to have to pay for two different phone lines.”
-or-
“Our restaurant has 3 locations in the city now, but we want all the calls to go through one number for reservation purposes. It’s just easier.”
-or-
“There are seven doctors at our practice. Front desk handles all calls. We can’t expect the doctors to answer their calls personally.”
Why it’s a problem:
There are actually multiple issues at hand on this one. First of all, Google’s guidelines state:
Provide a phone number that connects to your individual business location as directly as possible, and provide one website that represents your individual business location.
Use a local phone number instead of a central, call center helpline number whenever possible.
The phone number must be under the direct control of the business.
This rules out having the phone number of a single location representing multiple locations.
Confusing to Google
Google has also been known in the past to phone businesses for verification purposes. Should a business answer “Jim’s Dog Walking” when a Google rep is calling to verify that the phone number is associated with “Jim’s Karate Lessons,” we’re in trouble. Shared phone numbers have also been suspected in the past of causing accidental merging of Google listings, though I’ve not seen a case of this in a couple of years.
Confusing for businesses
As for the multi-practitioner scenario, the reality is that some business models simply don’t allow for practitioners to answer their own phones. Calls for doctors, dentists, attorneys, etc. are traditionally routed through a front desk. This reality calls into question whether forward-facing listings should be built for these individuals at all. We’ll dive deeper into this topic below, in the section on multi-practitioner listings.
Confusing for the ecosystem
Beyond Google-related concerns, Moz Local’s awesome engineers have taught me some rather amazing things about the problems shared phone numbers can create for citation-building campaigns in the greater ecosystem. Many local business data platforms are highly dependent on unique phone numbers as a signal of entity uniqueness (the “P” in NAP is powerful!). So, for example, if you submit both Jim’s Dog Walking and Jim’s Bookkeeping to Infogroup with the same number, Infogroup may publish both listings, but leave the phone number fields blank! And without a phone number, a local business listing is pretty worthless.
It’s because of realities like these that a unique phone number for each entity is a requirement of the Moz Local product, and should be a prerequisite for any citation building campaign.
What to do about it:
Let the business owner know that a unique phone number for each business entity, each business location, and each forward-facing practitioner who wants to be listed is a necessary business expense (and, hey, likely tax deductible, too!). Once the investment has been made in the unique numbers, the work ahead involves editing all existing citations to reflect them. The free tool Moz Check Listing can help you instantly locate existing citations for the purpose of creating a spreadsheet that details the bad data, allowing you to start correcting it manually. Or, to save time, the business owner may wish to invest in a paid, automated citation correction product like Moz Local.
Pro tip: Apart from removing local business listing stumbling blocks, unique phone numbers have an added bonus in that they enable the benefits of associating KPIs like clicks-to-call to a given entity, and existing numbers can be ported into call tracking numbers for even further analysis of traffic and conversions. You just can’t enjoy these benefits if you lump multiple entities together under a single, shared number.
3. Keyword stuffing GMB listing names
What you’ll hear:
“I have 5 locations in Dallas. How are my customers supposed to find the right one unless I add the neighborhood name to the business name on the listings?”
-or-
“We want customers to know we do both acupuncture and massage, so we put both in the listing name.”
-or-
“Well, no, the business name doesn’t actually have a city name in it, but my competitors are adding city names to their GMB listings and they’re outranking me!”
Why it’s a problem:
Long story short, it’s a blatant violation of Google’s guidelines to put extraneous keywords in the business name field of a GMB listing. Google states:
Your name should reflect your business’ real-world name, as used consistently on your storefront, website, stationery, and as known to customers.
Including unnecessary information in your business name is not permitted, and could result in your listing being suspended.
What to do about it:
I consider this a genuine Local SEO toughie. On the one hand, Google’s lack of enforcement of these guidelines, and apparent lack of concern about the whole thing, makes it difficult to adequately alarm business owners about the risk of suspension. I’ve successfully reported keyword stuffing violations to Google and have had them act on my reports within 24 hours… only to have the spammy names reappear hours or days afterwards. If there’s a suspension of some kind going on here, I don’t see it.
Simultaneously, Google’s local algo apparently continues to be influenced by exact keyword matches. When a business owner sees competitors outranking him via outlawed practices which Google appears to ignore, the Local SEO may feel slightly idiotic urging guideline-compliance from his patch of shaky ground.
But, do it anyway. For two reasons:
If you’re not teaching business owners about the importance of brand building at this point, you’re not really teaching marketing. Ask the owner, “Are you into building a lasting brand, or are you hoping to get by on tricks?” Smart owners (and their marketers) will see that it’s a more legitimate strategy to build a future based on earning permanent local brand recognition for Lincoln & Herndon, than for Springfield Car Accident Slip and Fall Personal Injury Lawyers Attorneys.
I find it interesting that, in all of Google’s guidelines, the word “suspended” is used only a few times, and one of these rare instances relates to spamming the business title field. In other words, Google is using the strongest possible language to warn against this practice, and that makes me quite nervous about tying large chunks of reputation and rankings to a tactic against which Google has forewarned. I remember that companies were doing all kinds of risky things on the eve of the Panda and Penguin updates and they woke up to a changed webscape in which they were no longer winners. Because of this, I advocate alerting any business owner who is risking his livelihood to chancy shortcuts. Better to build things for real, for the long haul.
Fortunately, it only takes a few seconds to sign into a GMB account and remove extraneous keywords from a business name. If it needs to be done at scale for large multi-location enterprises across the major aggregators, Moz Local can get the job done. Will removing spammy keywords from the GMB listing title cause the business to move down in Google’s local rankings? It’s possible that they will, but at least they’ll be able to go forward building real stuff, with the moral authority to report rule-breaking competitors and keep at it until Google acts.
And tell owners not to worry about Google not being able to sort out a downtown location from an uptown one for consumers. Google’s ability to parse user proximity is getting better every day. Mobile-local packs prove this out. If one location is wrongly outranking another, chances are good the business needs to do an audit to discover weaknesses that are holding the more appropriate listing back. That’s real strategy - no tricks!
4. Creating a multi-site morass
What you’ll hear:
“So, to cover all 3 or our locations, we have greengrocerysandiego.com, greengrocerymonterey.com and greengrocerymendocino.com… but the problem is, the content on the three sites is kind of all the same. What should we do to make the sites different?”
-or-
“So, to cover all of our services, we have jimsappliancerepair.com, jimswashingmachinerepair.com, jimsdryerrepair.com, jimshotwaterheaterrepair.com, jimsrefrigeratorrepair.com. We’re about to buy jimsvacuumrepair.com … but the problem is, there’s not much content on any of these sites. It feels like management is getting out of hand.”
Why it’s a problem:
Definitely a frequent topic in SEO forums, the practice of relying on exact match domains (EMDs) proliferates because of Google’s historic bias in their favor. The ranking influence of EMDs has been the subject of a Google updateand has lessened over time. I wouldn’t want to try to rank for competitive terms with creditcards.com or insurance.com these days.
But if you believe EMDs no longer work in the local-organic world, read this post in which a fellow’s surname/domain name gets mixed up with a distant city name and he ends up ranking in the local packs for it! Chances are, you see weak EMDs ranking all the time for your local searches — more’s the pity. And, no doubt, this ranking boost is the driving force behind local business models continuing to purchase multiple keyword-oriented domains to represent branches of their company or the variety of services they offer. This approach is problematic for 3 chief reasons:
It’s impractical. The majority of the forum threads I’ve encountered in which small-to-medium local businesses have ended up with two, or five, or ten domains invariably lead to the discovery that the websites are made up of either thin or duplicate content. Larger enterprises are often guilty of the same. What seemed like a great idea at first, buying up all those EMDs, turns into an unmanageable morass of web properties that no one has the time to keep updated, to write for, or to market.
Specific to the multi-service business, it’s not a smart move to put single-location NAP on multiple websites. In other words, if your construction firm is located at 123 Main Street in Funky Town, but consumers and Google are finding that same physical address associated with fences.com, bathroomremodeling.com, decks.com, and kitchenremodeling.com, you are sowing confusion in the ecosystem. Which is the authoritative business associated with that address? Some business owners further compound problems by assuming they can then build separate sets of local business listings for each of these different service-oriented domains, violating Google’s guidelines, which state: Do not create more than one page for each location of your business. The whole thing can become a giant mess, instead of the clean, manageable simplicity of a single brand, tied to a single domain, with a single NAP signal.
With rare-to-nonexistent exceptions, I consider EMDs to be missed opportunities for brand building. Imagine, if instead of being Whole Foods at WholeFoods.com, the natural foods giant had decided they needed to try to squeeze a ranking boost out of buying 400+ domains to represent the eventual number of locations they now operate. WholeFoodsDallas.com, WholeFoodsMississauga.com, etc? Such an approach would get out of hand very fast.
Even the smallest businesses should take cues from big commerce. Your brand is the magic password you want on every consumer’s lips, associated with every service you offer, in every location you open. As I recently suggested to a Moz community member, be proud to domain your flower shop as rossirovetti.com instead of hoping FloralDelivery24hoursSanFrancisco.com will boost your rankings. It’s authentic, easy to remember, looks trustworthy in the SERPs, and is ripe for memorable brand building.
What to do about it:
While I can’t speak to the minutiae of every single scenario, I’ve yet to be part of a discussion about multi-sites in the Local SEO community in which I didn’t advise consolidation. Basically, the business should choose a single, proud domain and, in most cases, 301 redirect the old sites to the main one, then work to get as many external links that pointed to the multi-sites to point to the chosen main site. This oldie but goodie from the Moz blog provides a further technical checklist from a company that saw a 40% increase in traffic after consolidating domains. I’d recommend that any business that is nervous about handling the tech aspects of consolidation in-house should hire a qualified SEO to help them through the process.
5. Creating ill-considered practitioner listings
What you’ll hear:
“We have 5 dentists at the practice, but one moved/retired last month and we don’t know what to do with the GMB listing for him.”
-or-
“Dr. Green is outranking the practice in the local results for some reason, and it’s really annoying.”
Why it’s a problem:
I’ve saved the most complex for last! Multi-practitioner listings can be a blessing, but they’re so often a bane that my position on creating them has evolved to a point where I only recommend building them in specific cases.
When Google first enabled practitioner listings (listings that represent each doctor, lawyer, dentist, or agent within a business) I saw them as a golden opportunity for a given practice to dominate local search results with its presence. However, Google’s subsequent unwillingness to simply remove practitioner duplicates, coupled with the rollout of the Possum update which filters out shared category/similar location listings, coupled with the number of instances I’ve seen in which practitioner listings end up outranking brand listings, has caused me to change my opinion of their benefits. I should also add that the business title field on practitioner listings is a hotbed of Google guideline violations — few business owners have ever read Google’s nitty gritty rules about how to name these types of listings.
In a nutshell, practitioner listings gone awry can result in a bunch of wrongly-named listings often clouded by duplicates that Google won’t remove, all competing for the same keywords. Not good!
What to do about it:
You’ll have multiple scenarios to address when offering advice about this topic.
1.) If the business is brand new, and there is no record of it on the Internet as of yet, then I would only recommend creating practitioner listings if it is necessary to point out an area of specialization. So, for example if a medical practice has 5 MDs, the listing for the practice covers that, with no added listings needed. But, if a medical practice has 5 MDs and an Otolaryngologist, it may be good marketing to give the specialist his own listing, because it has its own GMB category and won’t be competing with the practice for rankings. *However, read on to understand the challenges being undertaken any time a multi-practitioner listing is created.
2.) If the multi-practitioner business is not new, chances are very good that there are listings out there for present, past, and even deceased practitioners.
If a partner is current, be sure you point his listing at a landing page on the practice’s website, instead of at the homepage, see if you can differentiate categories, and do your utmost to optimize the practice’s own listing — the point here is to prevent practitioners from outranking the practice. What do I mean by optimization? Be sure the practice’s GMB listing is fully filled out, you’ve got amazing photos, you’re actively earning and responding to reviews, you’re publishing a Google Post at least once a week, and your citations across the web are consistent. These things should all strengthen the listing for the practice.
If a partner is no longer with the practice, it’s ideal to unverify the listing and ask Google to market it as moved to the practice — not to the practitioner’s new location. Sound goofy? Read Joy Hawkins’ smart explanation of this convoluted issue.
If, sadly, a practitioner has passed away, contact Google to show them an obituary so that the listing can be removed.
If a listing represents what is actually a solo practitioner (instead of a partner in a multi-practitioner business model) and his GMB listing is now competing with the listing for his business, you can ask Google to merge the two listings.
3.) If a business wants to create practitioner listings, and they feel up to the task of handling any ranking or situational management concerns, there is one final proviso I’d add. Google’s guidelines state that practitioners should be “directly contactable at the verified location during stated hours” in order to qualify for a GMB listing. I’ve always found this requirement rather vague. Contactable by phone? Contactable in person? Google doesn’t specify. Presumably, a real estate agent in a multi-practitioner agency might be directly contactable, but as my graphic above illustrates, we wouldn’t really expect the same public availability of a surgeon, right? Point being, it may only make marketing sense to create a practitioner listing for someone who needs to be directly available to the consumer public for the business to function. I consider this a genuine grey area in the guidelines, so think it through carefully before acting.
Giving good help
It’s genuinely an honor to advise owners and marketers who are strategizing for the success of local businesses. In our own small way, local SEO consultants live in the neighborhood Mister Rogers envisioned in which you could look for the helpers when confronted with trouble. Given the livelihoods dependent on local commerce, rescuing a company from a foundational marketing mistake is satisfying work for people who like to be “helpers,” and it carries a weight of responsibility.
I’ve worked in 3 different SEO forums over the past 10+ years, and I’d like to close with some things I’ve learned about helping:
Learn to ask the right questions. Small nuances in business models and scenarios can necessitate completely different advice. Don’t be scared to come back with second and third rounds of follow-up queries if someone hasn’t provided sufficient detail for you to advise them well. Read all details thoroughly before replying.
Always, always consult Google’s guidelines, and link to them in your answers. It’s absolutely amazing how few owners and marketers have ever encountered them. Local SEOs are volunteer liaisons between Google and businesses. That’s just the way things have worked out.
Don’t say you’re sure unless you’re really sure. If a forum or client question necessitates a full audit to surface a useful answer, say so. Giving pat answers to complicated queries helps no one, and can actually hurt businesses by leaving them in limbo, losing money, for an even longer time.
Network with colleagues when weird things come up. Ranking drops can be attributed to new Google updates, or bugs, or other factors you haven’t yet noticed but that a trusted peer may have encountered.
Practice humility. 90% of what I know about Local SEO, I’ve learned from people coming to me with problems for which, at some point, I had to discover answers. Over time, the work put in builds up our store of ready knowledge, but we will never know it all, and that’s humbling in a very good way. Community members and clients are our teachers. Let’s be grateful for them, and treat them with respect.
Finally, don’t stress about delivering “the bad news” when you see someone who is asking for help making a marketing mistake. In the long run, your honesty will be the best gift you could possibly have given.
Happy helping!

Who I Write For: Idols, Artists, K-Drama Roles // Last Updated: 28.08.2017
If you don’t see the person you’re looking for in the list, feel free to hit me up and ask whether I’d write for them. Because I don’t really keep track of new groups, I might need to have a rock thrown at me with their name written on it in order for me to check them out.
Note: I DO NOT write for idols / artists that already have significant others or spouses. Okay? Okay.
Extra Note: I don’t do smut. I do write stuff with suggestive content but nothing more than that.
Extra extra note: I only write for male idols / artists / characters. IT’S NOT BECAUSE I ONLY PAY ATTENTION TO GUY GROUPS OKAY.
Lastly: I also write for k-drama characters ((not actors, but characters)). The list will probably be short because I watch very few k-dramas mainly because I have no patience or time lol but I’m planning to watch more once I graduate so yay. Scenarios for these people can be related or unrelated to the drama and need not be paired with their significant other in the drama so yeah

What happens to Project Managers when organizations adopt Scrum?
What happens to Project Managers when organizations adopt Scrum?
Well, organizations use Scrum to solve complex problems using collective wisdom iteratively. So, the concept of projects may not work in such complex contexts where the requirements are unclear let alone the solution. As I said earlier, the closest to a concept project in such scenarios is a Sprint or an iteration. How do we map the project management responsibilities to what Scrum teams do? Let’s give it a shot by looking at each of the Project Management knowledge areas:
Integration: Both development team and Product owners are responsible for this.
Scope: The Product Owner is primarily responsible for uncovering the user needs, prioritized them keeping in mind all stakeholders(users, buyers, sponsors) and work development team to evolve the understanding of user needs.
Time and Cost: The Product Owner is primarily responsible for maximizing the value of the work done by the Scrum team. So they act as product facilitators to define experiments, Sprint goals and deciding when to release product to the market. They are also responsible for prioritization of product backlog items and deciding what to spend money and what not.
Quality: The quality of the product is impacted by the clarity of user needs, policies in the organization and technical decisions as well. So the Quality is a shared responsibility of the whole Scrum team.
Procurement: The whole Scrum team decides what resources are required to build the product and make decisions to buy. A choice of whom to buy from is made outside the Scrum team.
Product Management Bootcamp
Human resources: The Scrum team has no hierarchy within the group. They all are peers and report to someone outside the Scrum team. HR includes forming and building the Scrum team, which is a shared responsibility of the Scrum Team. However initial hiring and performance management may be done by the people /line/reporting managers.
Communications: The communication within and outside the Scrum team is a shared responsibility of the Scrum Team.
Risk management: The risks are nothing but assumptions that are not validated. The Sprints are meant to reduce the risk of building unused products and reduce Cost of Delay. The assumptions could be business or functional, technical or systemic. So the risk management is a shared responsibility of the Scrum Team.
Stakeholder management: The stakeholders could be users, buyers, sponsors or others outside the Scrum Team. While engaging most of them is the responsibility of PO, it’s still a shared responsibility.

How the Steem Saga Exposes the Dangers of Staking Pools
Over the last few days, the centralization versus decentralization row has erupted in earnest. In case you missed it, the activities of Tron founder Justin Sun following his takeover of blogging site Steemit have been pivotal to the controversies.
Let’s briefly recap. Earlier in February, it emerged that Sun was further expanding his crypto-empire with the acquisition of Steemit, which runs on the Steem blockchain. Steem was developed by Daniel Larimer, who also introduced the delegated proof-of-stake governance model, or dPoS, to the blockchain sphere. Larimer later went on to build EOS, which also runs on dPoS.

The clash came about due to a conflict between Sun and the Steem “witnesses” — nodes elected by token holders to act as block producers. The entity Steemit Inc., which operates the blogging site, holds a large quantity of STEEM network tokens, which it had previously never used to participate in voting. Once Sun took over the company, the witnesses moved to implement a soft fork that would have effectively frozen the Steemit tokens and ensured they couldn’t be used to influence the network in the future.
Don’t play a player
Evidently, Justin Sun leveraged his significant weight in the crypto community to persuade exchanges, including Binance, Huobi and Poloniex, to vote against the soft fork that would have diminished his voting power. Not only that, but the vote also ousted the existing set of witnesses in favor of a new set, replacing 20 out of 21 witnesses. All the newcomers had accounts that were created in the days immediately preceding the vote.
Related: Steem Community Stands Its Ground Amid Tron Takeover
At the time of writing, the issue appears to be ongoing, with the Steem community attempting to pool their voting weight as a means of replacing Sun’s stooges with the original witnesses. Nevertheless, Sun’s actions led to cries of foul play from those who believed that before this, Steem (and even Steemit) was a decentralized, democratic system.
But, to be fair to Justin Sun, he didn’t actually do anything wrong. He played the witnesses at their own game, using the rules of the system. What happened is simply an out-in-the-open play of the same scenario that many have long speculated is happening behind the scenes in EOS.
Challenges with collusion resistance
The issues with EOS are illustrative of the flaws inherent to the delegated proof-of-stake governance model, flaws that were highlighted in a recent report from Binance Research. The report assesses the practical effectiveness of the EOS governance model against three goals that decentralization is supposed to achieve: collusion resistance, fault tolerance and attack resistance.
Of these three, the most fundamental failures are around collusion resistance. The more revenue that block producers earn from producing blocks, the more influential they become over the network as a whole. By pooling that influence in votes, they can begin to exert dominance over the network.
Combine this with tokens stored on exchanges, where the exchanges also wield similar clout in the votes, and it’s evident that the control of the network rests in the hands of a small number of very powerful voters.

Aggregating power in crypto
Many would say that the exchanges shouldn’t use their influence in this way. In fact, it’s being used as an argument against Justin Sun’s recent actions regarding Steem, leading to both Binance and Huobi withdrawing their votes.
However, the case highlights the voting power that token holders are giving to exchanges. But the entire crypto community is also — inadvertently or otherwise — encouraging the aggregation of power through the use of staking pools.
Staking your tokens via a pool is essentially the same as putting them into an exchange, for voting purposes. As the saying goes, “not your keys, not your crypto.” Once users start putting their tokens into staking pools, they’re handing over their dPoS voting rights to the staking pool owner. This means that the exchanges and staking pools can easily control who is producing blocks in any dPoS blockchain.
Now, having seen that control being exerted over Steem, token holders may think twice about leaving their holdings on exchanges or putting them into staking pools. After all, if the tokens are in a private wallet, or staked under one’s own name, the voting rights remain intact.
DPoS is an unnecessary complication
There’s already a sound solution that works as good as dPoS. The merits of classical PoS have been proven in the case of long-running PoS blockchains such as Nxt. The added complexity of voting rounds introduced by dPoS does not increase security in any meaningful way and may increase risks of collusion and centralization.
The rights and wrongs of the Steem and Justin Sun saga are likely to be debated for some time to come. Either way, Sun is unlikely to relinquish his voting rights conveyed by the Steemit tokens, given that the community has already moved against him.
However, true advocates of decentralization should consider removing their dPoS tokens from centralized exchanges and staking pools, thus ensuring that they own their votes and their voices are heard.
