i know you're prob expecting wesker or annette but. lisa trevor, my beloved, my innocent daughter who did nothing wrong. how did will treat her? how did he view her? seeing what umbrella did to this young girl, did he internalise that situation and worry if he ever left umbrella that they would do the same to his daughter?

oh believe me, i am very happy to discuss his thoughts on miss lisa trevor 👁️

william was introduced to her initially in september of 1978, the day he and albert first arrived at the arklay laboratory. will's never been an empathetic man- he feels a very strong sense of disconnect from other people, and struggles as a result to form lasting connections as well as be sympathetic towards the plight of others. but lisa? she horrified him. william was revolted by the sight of her, nearly dropping his clipboard until albert ordered him to get a hold of himself. he always had an inkling that umbrella leaned more towards the unethical, but to see it confirmed like this... it was shocking, to say the least. but it was easy to compartmentalize, because lisa wasn't a person anymore (at least not to him). she was just... a thing. a mindless beast, or so she had been described by dr. marcus.

and so, it was easy for william to grow numb to it. the bangs, the wails, the rattling of chains. so long as it's not him in her place, right? so long as her sacrifice can help forward his research and push him towards fame & glory. there is a part of him that holds some sick form of admiration for lisa. she is the one who ultimately led him to the discovery of G.

and yes- as time wore on, william did begin to fear that if he crossed umbrella in any way, they wouldn't just go after him. they'd go after his family, and they would become umbrella's next little pet project. the rest of their days spent begging for a death that would never come. he's had nightmares about it before. lisa's face is one of many that haunts him at night.

i'm not sure if it's unpopular but i definitely do not subscribe to the idea that ada is just a heartless mercenary / spy. i definitely think she has her moments where she's fairly apathetic , especially when it comes to her job , but i don't think that means that certain situations / events don't effect her at all even if she seems to not care in the moment.

these visits were often, expected, with a tendency to take in what the lords have been accomplishing in the privacy of their designated destinations. leering. learning. FITTING EVEN MORE PIECES TO THE PUZZLE. VALUED in statement of claimed son, miranda's found herself still. like a tornado, the quiet before the destruction, the silence before the danger. you don't know if she will strike & that was possibly the one thing that made her an unpredictable danger.

she hums at that. brief. thoughtful. HUMORING. she returns to walking -- finding herself drifting to some of his work, a single finger that brushes against the scraps of metal, assuming they were still to be used. & she's swift to turn, facing heisenberg, smile placing on her face. practiced. A FACADE TO THE TERRORS SHE COULD COMMIT.

the warning is fair and claire knows she should listen to it, after all this is the enemy's territory and he's being so nice to point out she might not make it out alive from this journey. so she has two choices, declare defeat and come back home - an innocent child will just disappear and be erased from history even though claire knows very well she was alive, or go ahead and risk it all even if it means saving one life.

lips part to let out a snark remark toward the screen, just for it to turn black when communication is interrupted. "you... are a son of a gun, sir." gets mumbled before a sigh of frustration leaves her lips, eyes setting on the path ahead with uncertainty. shotgun gets fixed better on her shoulder while gun remains in her hand, and so her journey continues. "well, here goes nothing - ready or not, here i come."

one last one i just had come to mind: was will aware that alfred trained HUNK? if so, did part of him think alfred had anything to do with the collection of g / his assasination because of how will treated alexia? how does he feel about alfred ( and especially alfred being given command of an island unsupervised )?

william, admittedly, does not know much about H.U.N.K. however, there is not a SINGLE doubt in my mind that he absolutely would have believed alfred had something to do with his assassination / the retrieval of G because he is... insane.

i'm pretty sure william and alexia never met one another (it's a bit vague in canon... i don't THINK there was any mention of the two of them ever meeting? just that william was Big Mad about a 10 year old being employed by umbrella LOL), but regardless- his hatred of alexia absolutely extends to alfred as well. granted, alfred never held much of a candle to either of them and didn't threaten ("""threaten""") william's intelligence / position like alexia did, it was mostly just on the basis that he was alexia's brother. and also annoying. william just straight up thinks alfred is annoying.

irt to the rockfort island, i'd say he's definitely peeved- but not surprised! the ashfords are umbrella royalty. figures he'd get some extra special treatment (as if william didn't come from a highly privileged background himself).

Notes about designs under cut

-obviously inspired by the mangas time-skip adult versions. Some of them i already liked like Manabu (hence why he’s barely different) and some i didn’t fuck with like Kai (where has his sauce gone…)

-related to the previous point, i imagined the amount of time between these versions and their regular versions in the show is the same as in the manga, i didnt go off of specific years more like just based it off the manga designs entirely

-at first i was like wow, giving the Russian character an ushanka, how original. But then i remembered Rei, the chinese character in the main group literally walks around with a ying yang on his forehead so like, its only in true beyblade character design spirit if i do this.

-i was gonna design Makoto and Goh too and make them look a little less like they’re just small Takao and Kai but i gave up so I’ll probably draw them in a normal piece somewhere else (Lin too)

-i was also thinking of writing of what they were doing now in the time skip beside the drawings but im not good at writing so I gave up. Though im guessing It wouldn’t be hard to guess how Kai lost his eye or where Yuriy’s leg injury came from lol. G revolution gives its toughest beybattles to its gayest soldiers

-their jobs or atleast the characters shown in the manga as adults are probably same, like Daichi being a blader dj was so genius to me when i first read it. Though he didn’t really look like his past self in the slightest lol or to me atleast

-im not thinking of doing any more characters maybe like 2-3 more but im good this took years off my life and it was harder than i thought it would be

-i left Yuriy for last in my drawing order because hes my favorite and i was excited to draw him the most and i promised myself to not make him more detailed compared to everyone else and i completely fumbled on that im sorry LMFAO i just love him so much FUCK

alternatively: was sherry's birth accidental or planned? if planned, was it a result of him and annette being like "well we got married we're supposed to have a child next" and following that expectation, or was it a genuine desire to start a family ( and if so, was it so will could leave a "legacy", as something probably drilled into him by everyone he worked with, and had he been hoping for a son? )

sherry was very much a planned pregnancy. i don't see either of the birkins as being careless enough to have a child neither of them planned for, especially in their line of work.

william's motivations are a mix of both, really. he loves annette, but their relationship wasn't given enough time to properly flourish. william felt a lot of pressure to move things along quickly- be as successful as possible as soon as possible, such was his nature due to being brought up in such a ruthlessly competitive working environment. and naturally, the next step in their marriage would be to have a child. fits nicely into his list of accomplishments, doesn't it? child prodigy, husband, father, creator of G-virus (listed in order of importance). but william was also naïve. he had that dream of a white picket fence, living it up in a big house with his wife and kid, reveling in ultimate success. he believed his research would change the world, thus he would achieve a nice, cushy life for himself & his family. he's a bit of an idealist.

sherry was the light of his life, or so he'd have you think. william would cite the first years of her childhood as the happiest he's ever been. he definitely was concerned with leaving behind some sort of "legacy," and this did factor in to his decision to become a father, but that legacy lay more with his research than with his own, living and breathing child (as for sherry's gender, he spent some time pondering but ultimately didn't care whether or not she was a boy or a girl).

at the end of the day, though william did love sherry, he was in no way prepared to have a child. both in part due to his lack of understanding of a child's needs, and also because even if he tried to be more present for her- umbrella simply wouldn't have let him. his work for them was all that mattered, not trivial matters such as family. it was at some point in the 90's that william even began to regret having sherry not because he didn't love her or because he didn't want to care for her, but because he felt guilty for bringing her into the whole mess with umbrella to begin with. she was their property just as much as he was, and it circles back to that fear of sherry ending up as one of their new "projects." he regretted bringing her into a world where that was even a possibility, where her father was hardly present in her life, too preoccupied his work. his favorite child. he did, in some capacity, come to understand that he had failed. william simply believed that the sooner he completed G, the sooner he could escape from umbrella's clutches, it would give him the opportunity to make up for that time he never afforded to sherry. he had this whole "i can fix it" mentality about the whole situation which... doesn't really work when it comes to things like this.

his plan never came to fruition, anyway. in his last moments william was overcome with many different emotions- the most prominent being regret, shame, and guilt. because he failed sherry, and he knows it.
