Thirteen hours.

It took thirteen hours for the paperwork to be filled out and processed. They'd dragged Simon off immediately to fill out the paperwork and I was "escourted" (dragged) to my space to wait.

The last thirteen hours have been spent with staff members pampering me. Bathing me, doing my hair and makeup, dressing me in clothes that aren't Salvation's omega dresscode - all of it. There was even something of a literal photoshoot?

I don't know why they needed photos of me, but I always knew these people were weird.

However, all of that lead to me being prettily posed in the room they keep omegas in while they wait for their new alphas to arrive. Specifically at 10:30 pm. I almost want to shoot Simon for the insistence of immediate pick-up.

Could be asleep by now.

A knock at the door pulls me from my whirlwind of thoughts and I sit up straighter, putting on my best "submissive omega" impression for whoever enters.

"UK-009-0013? Your alpha has arrived," an employee calls from the other side of the door.

I stand quickly and tug gently at the way-too-big black skull tshirt that they ended up putting me in at some point.

"Come in."

The door creaks open and reveals Jenny - who looks way too happy - and Simon.

"There she is, sir. In the clothes you dropped off, as you requested," Jenny says a bit too proudly.

"I can see that."

I have to suppress my laugh at the look of hurt on Jenny's face at Simon's lack of praise. Instead, I continue my "submissive omega" act and begin fidgeting with the edge of the tshirt while looking up at Simon through my lashes. The more smitten I appear the better.

"Simon," I call to him softly, meekly.

He wastes no time crossing the room and scooping me into his arms at the sound of my voice. My arms wrap tightly around him and I grab fistfuls of the back of his hoodie.

"Anyway you can tone that shit down a bit?" he whispers into my ear, voice a bit strained.

"Not if you want any chance of getting me out of here without roadblocks," I whisper back with my face burried against his neck. "Don't make it weird."

I'm acting, to him, like I'm unphased by having an alpha but the seemingly-dormant omega portion of my brain seems to be waking up. She's still drowsy and unsure what's happening, but with my face shoved against his neck...

I can smell him.

I've never been this close, physically, to any alpha before. The fact that doing so is triggering the omega part of my brain is royally pissing me off. Thankfully, Simon loosens his grip on me and steps back. One of his hands drops to mine, his fingers lacing through mine.

"Everything is settled. Correct?" Simon addresses Jenny agan as he turns. "I'd like to take my future mate home now."

My cheeks warm slightly at the comment and the implications, but I remind myself that it's part of the act to get me (and hopefully other omegas) out of Salvation's grasp.

"Of course! Everything is settled and you're both free to go." Jenny's smile is unsettling, as per usual, but so is her choice in wording. It's clear from the way Simon's grip tightens around my hand that he also finds it strange. However, as promised, we are allowed to leave with no problems.

As soon as we're out of view of the property, I feel my entire body relax. My muscles ache from being tense for so long - literal years - and I'm tearing up out of relief.

Bless Simon, though. If he noticed my change in demeanor, he didn't comment or react.

"Are these... your clothes?" I ask once I manage to force the tears back.

He stays quiet for so long I start to think he didn't even hear me.

"Would it bother you if I said yes?"

Not... the response I was expecting, but alright.

"Not really, no. It'd be expected. Giving me things with your scent and all that." I toy with the strings on the sweatpants. They're long and hang low from how tightly I had to tie them to get the pants to stay up.

"This, whatever it is, doesn't have to be like that." His voice is gentle, unlike what it has been 99% of the time. Even when we were playing our parts to get me out of there there was a mostly gruff, gravely tone to his voice. I glance at him, confused as all hell, but his eyes are trained on the road.

"Didn't you go to Salvation to find an omega? A mate?"

"Yeah, I guess," he shrugs, eyes forward still. "But there are more important things in the world than finding a mate and reproducing for the sake of having a mate and reproducing. Like rights and safety. Especially that of omegas."

The omega in my mind seems sad at his offer and point of view of our situation, but I couldn't be happier. Salvation is not what it implies and I knew I would never get out of there or be able to help my fellow omegas while stuck in their grasp.

An alpha who seems to actually care about the wellbeing of others. Even if he is a bit... odd.

Things could be worse. A lot worse.

yourusername i was about to quit photography as a whole when i got accepted as a photographer for ferrari. who knew accepting this job when i was on the brink of losing what i was passionate about would only be the reason why i wake up every day doing what i love and living my best life.

bonus: i met the love of my life while doing it 🤍 it was later that i realized i don't just love taking pictures in general, i adored who i was taking photos of.

The first time you witnessed him transforming, you were shocked. You hated to see the pain your boyfriend had to go through. You ran over to him immediately after his wings fully emerged from his back and you held him in your arms as he cried due to the pain, that was the only time he let you see him like that.

He comes to you as soon as he’s finished with his transformation for comfort(he transforms once a month.)

It’s more of a curse than a blessing, ironically.

He loves nothing more than your touch after those rough nights, you help him with the scars on his back from the wings and bandage him up.

He appreciates you so much, and he’s so happy you didn’t leave him after finding out what he is.

He calls you his angel.

One time, after many days of begging, he let you come along to the astronomy tower to help him with his transformation. You held him and comforted him during the process and he took you out for a flight, it was pretty scary but he held you tight to his chest, process style.

After that, he makes it his routine to take you to the best view nearby, which is also the highest.

MATTHEO RIDDLE - werewolf

Werewolf!Mattheo is so cuddly and clingy, especially before full moons.

You help him get to safe places and prepare him before full moons as well.

After full moons, you help him clean up any wounds or bruises he obtained from the night before.

He definitely loves head scratches as much as you love giving them.

Just like Draco, he comes to you for comfort after his transformations.

He loves those early mornings in your dorm when he’s laid up on his bed and your sat on his lap, bandaging up his cuts and kissing his bruises.

Nap dates!!

He’s definitely the type to surprise you with some wildflowers he found in a field.

He never lets you witness his transform because it’s too much of a risk for your safety

He only wants to meet you safe :(

THEODORE NOTT - merman

Merman!Theo is so playful and he loves to mess with you.

Whenever you guys are swimming at the black lake, he would flick his tail and drench you with water.

He also goes under the water and pulls you under when you least except it to scare you.

At night, you both hang out by the dock while he’s in the water and you’re laying by the edge just chatting away in the moonlight. Your head is laying on your hands just before the edge of the dock while he’s gazing up at you in the water (kisses definitely occur in this position).

He collects shells and cool rocks from the bottom of the lake to gift to you, as well as he makes jewelry with the shells for you.

Swimming dates 24/7!!

You both stay in his dorm whenever it’s raining and cuddle up under the blankets, the coziest thing ever.

BLAISE ZABINI - vampire

Vampire!Blaise is extremely careful around you, since your human, he has the so much self control because he doesn’t want to hurt you.

He’s so polite and sweet with you.

He goes into London at night to feed off of the muggles, since they’re useless in his eyes anyway.

He definitely steals the money off of them and buys you gifts with the stolen cash.

He spoils you so much!!!

He adores placing small kisses on your neck and shoulders.

You’ve definitely asked him to turn you a few times, to which he denies because he doesn’t want you to turn into a monster like him.

Since he doesn’t sleep, he wakes you up in the morning with tea or coffee.

He loves to just stare and admire you from up close or afar, he just loves you so much!

LORENZO BERKSHIRE - ghost

Ghost!enzo is literally the sweetest most precious man to ever exist.

He goes ghost when he’s shy or whenever he’s flustered, it’s adorable.

“You’re so handsome, Enzo.” And poof, he’s gone.

Unlike all the other boys, his transformations are more random, but he can force it as well.

He mostly only uses his powers to sneak out of class to see you or leave earlier to walk you to your next class.

Also, he loves to sneak up on you and scare you. it’s so annoying.

Since he’s a ghost and can literally go through walls, he can sneak in the girl’s dormitory, which means he always gets to wake you up by pressing a thousand kisses all over your face.

He sneaks over to hogsmead late at night and buys you so much candy from honeydukes every week, so you’re always stocked up.

Even though he’s a ghost, his love language is physical touch!!

He gives the best hugs.

Wedding Plan Ep 7 (Finale) Stray Thoughts

Last week, Lom finally managed to clear things up with Namnuea with the help of Yiwa and Marine. We learned that Lom also experienced The Knowing along with Yiwa when they were kids and have been loyal to each other for over a decade as a result. Nuea and Lom got it in a second time, and Nuea asked to help carry their secret, much Lom’s awe and surprise. Accepting Nuea’s decision, Nuea’s family declared that Lom is theirs now, should his own family turn on him. Meanwhile, Yiwa’s mom was absolutely cruel to Marine, and so Yiwa has decided to run off right before the wedding.

Where is your grace, Saichom? Why would you scream out the problem instead of solving it? This is why your kids haven’t told you who they are.

Oh, Lom, I wish she had warned you, too.

How quickly these two moms turned on each other after being aligned for over a decade.

Not this guest living for the drama and filming it! They’re throwing the staff around!

I really love the choice to mute other sounds and play music over it instead before cutting to the guests leaving.

Namnuea really is good at his job.

Lom is laughing about all of this! He can read between the lines when it comes to Yiwa.

I love that Lom was correct about Yiwa, and that she didn’t tell him to save him the difficulty of lying. Also relieved that these two have a plan to land on their feet in England.

Lom is having too much fun playing heartbroken.

Final Verdict: 9.5, Highly Recommended. I never expected to be earnestly recommending a MAME show this year, but here we are. The final resolution of this show reveals an understanding of the fundamental nature of the closet in a way I did not think MAME was capable of. Yiwa understood that the gender politics of their existences meant that she and Marine could not be happy in Thailand and so she decided to leave. I love that with all that Lom and she have given up for each other, I like her taking the opportunity to take on all the hate and derision for him. I love that it’s her choice and not one foisted upon her or expected of her. With this opportunity, Lom and Nuea are allowed to soft-launch their relationship. This is actually so beautiful to me because I like the queers collectively deciding when everyone else is allowed to know. I like that they have to create a narrative that the hets will accept for them to come out peacefully. It’s not fun to live a lie, but we’re not the ones demanding the lies of us. I’m absolutely floored by the earnest way this show faced all of these obstacles and took what felt like such a gross starting line to a fantastic finish. I’m only taking a point here because the kissing with the girls was bad, and their chemistry was a little weak. So, yeah, watch the MAME show about the wedding planner getting the groom.

Having containment units be opened to release oddness is just downright dumb. It's like half-assing your job by shoving oddness in a container and then going back and saying "whoop well I solved the case". But you didn't. You slapped a Dollar Tree bandage on it. Temporary fix.

See, another reason why this whole line of motive logic is stupid: the blame is on you guys just as much as it is on Ozzie.

The man couldn't handle the pressure from a few bad apples and quit, because he most likely didn't get enough training from the previous Director, if any. So he had to ride the wave and then get faced with a small but powerful tsunami.

You guys were allegedly "smart" but couldn't tell that the manual was backwards and didn't bring it up to Ozzie. You took it like the Bible and followed it to the letter and stumbled into creating oddness instead of striving for normalcy. That, and you let your numerical biases get in the way of solving oddness instead of overcoming them, because whoever taught you at the Academy failed at their jobs and/or was severely unqualified.

Not that Tasha will admit to it, of course. But addressing all of these problems would make the finale seem so much better than it currently...ehhh...well, I can't say "than it currently is", because to me, it's not top-tier. It's decent. But you get what I'm saying, surely.

Orwell seems to forget that Captain O was a seafarer whose title actually meant something, and Ozzie was not a seafarer in any capacity.

There's also a reason why titles like "Mr. O", "Captain O", "Ms. O", etc. are just that: titles. They are not names. They are titles.

See, at least with pies, it was understandable that they were bullets because it was understandable that Odd Todd was performing what is essentially attempted mass murder but with pies.

The Terrible Three don't have that same motive, and thus, this isn't a shooting at all. So this paper airplane, while causing massive damage if it hits Ozzie, does not mean the dramatic "HE'S GONNA FUCKIN' DIE FROM A HEAD WOUND" that Tasha thinks it does.

Once again, the Academy is always an option, and realistically there is nothing wrong with reusing a shot from "Oscar Strikes Back" and then showing a building they could use as an Investigation building...but they don't. They decide to go this route instead. And suddenly, my theory of "what if they brought back the 13 living legends?" seems sane. Impossible, but sane.

This entire scene just tells me that, if Orli wanted to, she could lead one hell of a cult. Ozzie leads a precinct, she leads a cult devoted to Odd Squad and to him.

"We need you to become Odd Squad agents and help save the town."

That's not how this works...that's not how ANY OF THIS FUCKING WORKS.

Are we just fucking throwing away lore at this point? Across 10 years? Did they even try? Do they even care? Are they just trying to get a passing grade for a weekly paycheck? TF is this, retail? Fast food? Where you do the bare minimum and still get paid?

Y'know, do you guys remember when I said I'm tired of this show as a whole? I may be tired of it, but I still care about it. I can recite lore and infodump on you like no one's business. I still write stories about it. I still talk about it with friends.

This is what happens when you're tired of the show and don't care, but the network still drags you back down into hell after you just crawled your way out of it. And that's despite what the news articles want you to believe.
