It had been a couple weeks since y/n last saw Max, but the memory of the night was still fresh in her mind. Since then she had spoken to Max over text a handful of times. When the Charles' halloween party came around, she wasn’t entirely surprised to find herself standing beside him, his broad figure decked out in a Top Gun flight suit that looked almost too good on him.

He gave her an appraising look, clearly amused. "So, Rapunzel, huh? Looks like you were ready to let down your hair," he said with a grin, glancing at the long, braided wig she’d chosen for the night.

She laughed, giving a mock curtsy. "Only for special occasions," she teased.

As they mingled through the crowded party, he leaned down, an amused glint in his eyes. "So… does this count as our first date?" he asked, his tone light but a little hopeful.

Y/n smiled, feeling her cheeks heat up as she glanced sideways at him. "Depends," she replied. "Are you going to sweep me off my feet like a real first date?"

Max chuckled, taking her hand with a confidence that made her pulse quicken. "Guess I’ll have to step up my game, then," he said, pulling her closer into the crowd of people dancing.

It was a quiet Sunday night, and the city’s noise was muffled by the gentle sound of rain tapping against the windows. Y/n curled up on the couch next to Max, feeling the warmth of his arm around her as they watched bones together in comfortable silence. His cats, Jimmy and Sassy, had claimed their spots on the other side of the couch, while her own cat, Gizmo, was nestled comfortably in her lap. It was a picture of peaceful simplicity, the kind of evening she never wanted to end.

Max reached for the remote, lowering the volume during a quiet part of the movie. She glanced up, and he looked down at her, eyes soft, as if he’d been waiting for this moment all night. Her heart skipped a beat at the intensity of his gaze.

“Y/n, can I ask you something?” he said quietly, his voice a bit more serious than usual.

“Of course,” she replied, straightening up slightly, her hand absentmindedly scratching Gizmo’s ears.

He hesitated, running a hand through his hair as he searched for the right words. “I just… I need to know, Y/n, what are we?”

Her heart sank, the warmth she’d felt just moments before now turning to panic. She hadn’t been ready for this, not yet. The future, a label, something real, she knew that was what he deserved, but she didn’t know if she could be the one to give it to him. The words choked in her throat, refusing to form.

“Max, I…” she stammered, eyes darting away. Her fingers instinctively went to pet Gizmo, as if somehow grounding herself to reality, but it wasn’t working. The room felt too small, the air too thick. “I don’t… I don’t know if I can give you an answer right now.”

His face softened, though she could see the hurt flicker in his eyes. “I understand if you’re scared. I just want to know if I’m someone you want to try with. I’ll wait, Y/n. But I need to know if there’s something to wait for.”

The vulnerability in his voice shattered her, and she could feel the words bubbling up, desperate to explain herself. But the more she tried to force them out, the more trapped she felt. She swallowed hard, feeling the sting of tears welling up, and before she even fully understood what she was doing, she stood up, gently displacing Gizmo from her lap.

“Y/n?” Max’s voice was laced with concern, but she couldn’t look at him. The room was spinning, and she felt like she was drowning.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered, barely audible. “I just… I need to go.”

She grabbed her things, barely managing to gather Gizmo in her arms before heading to the door. She could feel Max’s gaze on her, but she couldn’t bring herself to turn around. Not when she felt so raw, so exposed.

The last thing she heard before she closed the door behind her was the quiet, broken way he’d called her name. And it stayed with her the entire way home, echoing in her mind as she fought the urge to turn back, knowing she wasn’t ready to face the fear or the love that waited for her on the other side of it.

Y/n sighed, her eyes lingering on the messages Max had sent her. She replayed his words in her mind, but the part that made her heart race—the moment he’d asked, “What are we?”—had also made her freeze. She didn’t quite understand her reaction, why that question had shaken her so deeply.

It wasn’t that Max had done anything wrong. He’d been everything she could hope for—patient, caring, thoughtful. She knew she felt something real for him, that he’d somehow slipped past every wall she’d built since her breakup with Lando. But beneath that realization, a dark feeling had crept over her, like ink spreading across a page. She was scared. No, she was terrified.

After everything she’d been through, the idea of letting someone in again felt overwhelming. She’d barely managed to piece herself back together after Lando, and she knew that if things fell apart with Max, she might not have the strength to do it again. With Max, she’d fallen fast and hard, in a way that felt both thrilling and dangerous. And how could she not? He was almost too good to be true. Yet, she couldn’t shake the voice in the back of her mind whispering that trust like this came with a cost.

Her relationship with Lando had taught her so much. They’d loved each other, but they’d been unwilling to bend in the ways that mattered. There were too many conflicts, too many moments of stubborn silence. She knew, deep down, that they were never meant to be.

But with Max, it was different. He saw beauty in parts of her that Lando had once found flaws. The qualities she had found exhausting in Lando felt effortless in Max. He was everything.

Yet, she couldn’t bring herself to fall completely, because if she did, Y/n didn’t believe anyone would be there to catch her.

Y/n had barely slept the night before, her mind stuck on the way Max had looked at her when he asked, “What are we?” She’d messaged him, asking to meet up, but now, waiting for him here, her stomach twisted with nerves. When she saw him walking toward her, hands tucked in his pockets, that gentle smile on his face, her heart clenched. How was it that he could make her feel both safe and completely vulnerable at the same time?

“Hey,” he greeted, his smile fading a little as he studied her face. “Are you okay?”

She nodded, though the words tangled in her throat, refusing to come out. Max, sensing her hesitation, took a step closer, his eyes filled with a mixture of concern and patience.

“Y/n, talk to me,” he murmured, his voice a soft anchor.

“I… I don’t know why I panicked,” she admitted, voice barely above a whisper. “When you asked what we were.” She saw the flicker of hurt in his eyes and felt guilt wash over her. “It’s not you, Max. You’ve been everything I could want.”

He looked down, nodding slowly as he absorbed her words. “But something’s keeping you from trusting this,” he said gently, sadness tracing his voice.

She exhaled shakily, looking away. “After everything with Lando, I just… I’m terrified, Max. The thought of letting myself fall again, of opening up like that—it scares me. If something went wrong… I don’t think I’d be able to put myself back together.”

He was quiet, letting her words sink in. Then he reached for her hand, his thumb brushing softly over her knuckles. “Y/n,” he said, his voice steady and calm. “I know you’re scared. And I understand that trust isn’t easy when you’ve been hurt before. But I’m not him. I’m here now, and I want us—whatever that looks like for you.”

He tilted her chin up, his eyes meeting hers with a fierce sincerity. “I’m not going anywhere.”

She looked up at him, her eyes brimming with the emotions she’d kept buried. “You deserve someone who’s not this… scared.”

Max shook his head, his expression unwavering. “I want you, Y/n—all of it. The good, the bad, the parts you’re afraid to show. I know I’m asking for a lot, but please, let me in.” His gaze softened, and he gave her hand a gentle squeeze. “We can take it as slow as you need. I’m here for that.”

Y/n felt a weight lift from her chest as she looked into his eyes, realizing that maybe, just maybe, she didn’t have to carry the fear alone. She didn’t have to be fully healed to let herself love him.

With a small, tentative smile, she squeezed his hand back. “Thank you, Max. For being so patient with me.”

A look of relief and warmth spread across his face. “You’re worth the wait, Y/n.”

Heading home from my NYC trip tomorrow. Funny Girl was fucking amazing!!! Lea Michele fucking killed it! I knew she was talented but damn! Ramin was perfect for Nickie, because charming all the ladies is what he does in real life. All his shirtless instagram pics do not do those abs justice in real life. Like he totally sucks in to tighten them in the pictures. To see them in their natural state with him in that satin robe and satin PJ pants. Half the thirsty audience cheered when he came out like that (myself included). Ramin and Lea together *chef's kiss* Also Ramin's dance number, he tried so hard.

I wish I could say the same for Phantom. Ben was better than the time I saw him in 2021, but seriously he should have been replaced a while ago. I think if he would have been replaced the show might not be closing. He's just been there way too long. Emilie was a beautiful Christine! I saw her in her 2nd or 3rd performance in 2021 and her voice has only gotten better. Her acting is still great pro Phantom, Ben just doesn't give her anything to work with. I loved Paul's Raoul; reminded me of Matt's from London: a compassionate one. Matt's was still better but with a compassionate Raoul and Ben as Phantom I can be team Raoul.

Seeing Ben do better then what I saw in 2021 made me realize what his Phantom is missing: sensuality and anger. His Phantom comes off with all suave of a 13 year old at the middle school dance when trying to be seductive. And when he's supposed to angry he's like a 5 year old who didn't get his way. People legit laughed while he was dragging himself across the stage during "Stranger Than You Dreamed It." Everytime I've seen it live and they don't scream like Ramin during an unmasking I'm disappointed.

All said I did cry a little at the end. IDK if I just never fully paid attention to the lyrics but I swear Ben changed could to did so he sang "you alone did make my song take flight" and it stressed the finality of the show closing and that post someone made that someone is going to sing "it's over now the music of the night" one last time and it will be over. And this was my last time seeing it on Broadway. I'm looking forward to West Wnd again this summer (HOLLY she's the best i think i have a new fav) but yeah the finality of Broadway.

I stopped being a Harry fan this year. I can’t stand what has become of him. Unpopular Opinion: I LOVE Cilan (Pokemon)

So, recently I remembered that Pokemon Black and White exists and decided to look up some pics of my fav character, Cilan, for my banners. And I, who hasn’t really explored that fandom too much, found out that people don’t really like him. Now, I grew up with Black and White, it was a favorite of mine and Cilan was my childhood crush. So maybe I’m bias. But maybe I’m not, because I never had any expectations.

So, I decided to make this mini-rant on why I love Cilan from Pokemon.

I first developed a crush on Cilan (as a kid) because he gave off an odd maturity and calm to him, something I didn’t get often from characters. Though he can be, well, a lot when it comes to talking about pokemon, he real does try to teach people how to improve themselves. I really feel in love during the episode with the purple haired girl, since the way he talked to her just made me feel a certain way. Chill. Listened to. Vibing. I vibed with him as a kid.

But he isn’t always calm (just chill). I adore how, as someone once described it, flamboyant he is. I love characters who are just unashamed to be extra. About to do exposition? Poses, spotlights, and dramatic facial expressions. Playing the villain? Flowing cape, mask, and fancy voice. Dressing in drag? He does it better than the fancy girls. Some people may find this obnoxious, but honestly, I think I like him even more NOW because of it. I love over the top characters. One of my fav EAH OCs (that I’ve made), Magnificent Charming, is just a straight up theater kid. Speaking of him...

I headcanon Cilan to be neurodivergent. He is passionate about every topic he finds interesting, and knows a weird amount about each. This has ended up extending beyond just passion and into hyperfixation, something I can see in myself. Anytime the subject is even remotely related, he will go on a passionate rant about it, and will talk an obsessive amount about his current major hyperfixation in general. Mentions fishing? Talks about it non-stop for the rest of the week. Someone they meet makes movies? “I LOVE MOVIES LETS MAKE ONE RIGHT NOW HERE’S EVERY MOVIE EVER MADE AND DID I MENTION I LOVE ACTING DO YOU NEED AN ACTOR DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A MOVIE FRICK YEAH MOVIEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS-” Pokemon? Tells you every fact he knows about the pokemon, gives you advice about pokemon, screams about pokemon, rants about pokemon, fanboys over pokemon-

This is great representation for me. I feel seen. Me and my sibling are neurodivergent peeps who never know how to stfu about something and will mention it as many times as we can in any and every conversation. I now know everything about Marvel because I haven’t heard about anything else in 2 weeks and every conversation we’ve had (50 extended interactions per day) has had Marvel in it. This is kind of the case with Cilan. I love this, as I can relate to the feeling of going on and on and on and on about something I’m passionate about, even if everyone else wants to talk about something else. I also just love hearing people excitedly talk about their passions and get really happy about them.

He’s just an absolute dork, and I love that.

Also related, Cilan’s really smart and good at his job. He knows a lot about pokemon and gives good advice, I think he went to a college for the connoisseur stuff, and he takes his job seriously. In the episodes with Skyla, he actually gets mad because he understands the importance and responsibility a gym leader has. He’s good at teaching in subtle ways (another important part of being a gym leader) and can give constructive critisizm with free connoisseur advice.

In conclusion, I have ADHD and don’t know how to end this. Basically, this boy is me, so I guess I’m some fandom’s least favorite character. That explains a lot.

(Sidenote: I thought he was, at most, 14 years old, which is why he’s my childhood crush. I looked it up out of curiousity, turns out he’s SIXTEEN. Legit my age. So I guess that if I felt like it, I could still crush on him now and it wouldn’t be weird)

Okay, let's set the scene

It's my day off

I decide to go out to a local bookstore and look around and get books that i will not read sksksk

I dress up FOR MYSELF bc i wanna look pretty :3

My go-to "going out" outfit goes something like this:

I'd wear this floral pink sundress i have that i sewed some pockets into

I'd probs do pink makeup too bc im a heathen so I'd do like rosegold eyeshadow with mascara, some blush and highlighter, and lipgloss bc im always wearing lipgloss skskks

I'd also wear my heart shaped hoops (see my earring collection sksksk) and I'd have my hair tied back with a bandana (its white with yellow lemons all over it :3)

Okay! So im all dolled up and im feeling pretty and witty and gay sksksksk

I go to the bookstore and im just browsing lowkey taking pics of books i want so i can find them used online for a cheaper price sksksk but im holding onto several bc i havent decided which ones i HAVE to buy today

Im looking around and i see a book i wanna take a closer look at but this GUY is standing in front of the bookshelf and i cant get to it

I quietly say "excuse me" and my voice sounds super tiny and frail bc i get super anxious talking to strangers and making demands skskks

And this big ass guy turns to look at me and he apologizes and moves out of the way and i smile and say its fine and grab the book from the shelf so i can judge its cover and summary sksksk

Im kinda freaking out bc holy shit this guy is handsome and he's wearing a suit? In the middle of August when its like 90°F out?? Props to him but i would rather die than overheat like that sksksksk

Im not interested in the book so i put it back and when i look back at the guy i notice he's looking at me

He blushes and looks down at his book really quick and im screaming on the inside bc holy shit he's adorable

But all i do is give a quick smile as i walk past and keep looking at books

I spend a couple hours looking around the bookstore bc it's super intricate and has multiple levels and the aisles are super small and theres like 500 sections (no listen this is a legit bookstore i've been to irl and its crammed inside this house and it's like a goddamn maze)

And as im looking around i keep running into this guy!

And we smile and maybe laugh a little bc jesus this is like the 10th time we've passed each other but it's bound to happen in a bookstore like this

I end up in the adult fiction section and im debating if i should get a book or not bc im cheap and dont wanna spend money when i hear an "excuse me" from behind me

I turn around and holy shit! Its the guy ive been seeing all over this place sksksk

I think he'd offer to buy them for me and of course i say no bc this dude is a stranger and im not gonna take his money wth

We're about to go our separate ways but he tells me his name first and i tell him mine and we shake hands before he walks away

I browse a bit more before i go to the checkout and guess who's there? Yes, it's Mr. Nanami, the guy i just spent 40 minutes talking about books to sksksk

He's buying a LOT of books, like even more than i recommend and im like "OH he got MONEY money 👀"

anyway yeah they do those and kaminari leaves them in places for you to find throughout the day like pls why is there so much glitter.......... aizawa is annoyed. probably. maybe. like you are tracking glitter all over the school but it’s legit NOT ur fault!!! it’s the cards!!!

anyway that’s off topic but yeah he has the cards w the puns AND he has a whole list of puns + pick-ups lines in his phone to say to you he memorized them too but like the list is just in case he forgets, you know idk he probably checks the list when ur not looking and when you turn back to him he’s all like 😁 it’s very cute idk like if u try to forget for one second that today is valentine’s day... well u won’t. bc it’s everywhere

probably got so caught up with everything that he forgot the flowers esp bc he was running late </3 idk if it’s just my area but there’s legit sm places to buy valentine’s stuff on the walk to school even. like just walk around the block during ur lunch period and sm ppl are selling flowers n bears n chocolates n stuff. crazy.

yeah so when he’s walking to school he buys a bouquet from some random seller and thanks the heavens that he doesn’t have to go back to the flower store halfway across town rn 😤 but he still chooses a pretty bouquet even if it’s last minute okay 😁 (whatever “pretty” means in his standards...) feeling like he probably gets light pink roses i will not accept anything other than roses... not sure if ppl do other types of flowers anyway tbh. am not an expert

he also has basic ass chocolates 🙄 idk what the typical ones are but whichever ones are like the target of chocolates. they’re good yes but everyone has them... where’s the creativity (i’m kidding, they’re very cute! you expected nothing less from your boyfriend. thanks king)

idk i feel like a lot of ppl say arcade dates w him but it just makes sense ��� so there’s that. but anyway i think it would just be chill after school w him lol you can just go out to eat at ur usual spot or idk maybe somewhere new but tbh anywhere works bc all the restaurants have cute valentine’s decorations set up so it sets the cute mood!

first impressions

there are times i think about my favs and i wonder what went through my mind when i saw them the first time. so im going to write one for the boyz before i forget so here goes;

sangyeon

i got to know him from my friend. he was whipped for this sangyeon guy cause of that gen z video. i was like “yeAaa he’s hot alright,” and he also gave me the leader vibes too he looks mature and turned out he is the leader

jacob 

he looks reallyyyyyy familiar to me. so i dig out more of his pics and finally it hits me; he is jung hoseok aka jhope’s doppleganger. but this is just from my point of view ofcourse i could be tripping. the way he smiles so bright on stage really reminds me of hoseok. i really love jacob’s smile and he was my potential bias

younghoon

he just screams VISUAL. i really dont like ranking people based on their looks but younghoon has to be no.1 out of all of them ((and again this is from my pov)). also i heard he was an army so yay a bonus to me!

hyunjae

this man too is sooooo good looking. i’ve noticed he was always in the center when performing and i loveeeeee his voice that i thought he was the main vocal. hes good at dancing too i guess he’s an all rounder.

juyeon

another visual with amazing dancing skills. i don’t think he gets that much line distribution but somehow my eyes are always glued to him. his stage presence is everything

i know kevin before! i’ve seen him as mc for kcon and that’s how i know he’s an english speaker in the group. also i’ve seen a bunch of memes of him LOL and people just hyping him up. saw him in gen z and people just went crazy because he wore that crop top. i saw that and was like “wow kevin is so attractive and sexy,”

he’s that pretty member with a mullet! i didn’t notice him that much when i was listening to reveal. i don’t think he left that much impression on me UNTIL i saw him in bloom bloom. bloom bloom was his era! he’s prettier than me and i noticed he has a very unique vocal.

OH. MY. GOD. STAGE PRESENCE IS TOP-TIER. in rtk he was the opening for the danger’s performance. his hair was red so it was easy to recognize him. i was really amazed by the whole performance and q was reallyyyyyyyyyy good at dancing. his cute face is a twist tho and he was my potential bias too.

haknyeon

ayyyy im a pd101 fan so ofcourse i know haknyeon and that is also how i know theboyz. mnet really did him dirty and i remember i was rooting for him. haknyeon to me was a very active and cheerful person. he is also a good performer and no air has to be his era.

sunwoo

legit thought he was in hyung line only to find out he’s the youngest along with eric. i just couldnt help but to notice him in every performance cause he was that good. he gave off a scary vibe tbh at first ((luvyusunwoo))

eric

this guy looks really familiar to me too. and i found people pointing out that he looks like jeno and YES HE DOES. eric was easy to notice too because of his blonde and blue highlight hair.

the boyz (overall)

i’ve heard about them when they debuted but i only knew haknyeon and i recalled myself being amazed by their visuals. literally every member was so good looking but i didn’t get to explore more ((i should’ve tbh what were u doing gorl)). so i decided to get to know them more when i saw their generation z video and road to kingdom. supported them since then and now i can call myself a deobi too hehe
