you are forcibly his new rambling partner, i think he calls you to the infirmary, not because youre in trouble or sick (which is what other believe) but because he just wants to talk about a new discovery he's had

he usually tell the engineer about his fun little discoveries, but when he does he has to be professional about it (mostly). with you, he doesn't need to be! he can tell you how it is: usually completely deranged.

if you meet outside the base, god bless your heart. he will sneak you onto 2fort don't doubt him. you will somehow find yourself in that infirmary in one way or another. trust me you will

he also isn't shy to invite you in when the mercs are under. and by under i mean they passed out from the pain of being operated on! he will be half an arm into heavy's chest while talking to you about his day, peak professionalism right there folks.

because he enjoys your company i think you would also have to be friends with heavy, the two are attached at the hip (and lets be real, gay) so if you get to know him, you automatically get to know heavy.

which is great! because now you get to get out with them as well, how fun! ignoring how they're banned from most public places for various reasons. most of which being medics fault (and one of which being: THE DEVILS FAULT). who would've guessed a crazy mad scientist would be banned from most public spaces.

basically, if you cant ride or die with this man, good luck, because my god you might just die instead.

On Parenthood

I really wanted to tackle the Parent prompt for wolianger week, but it is a complex issue for Momo and I felt it might suit me better to ramble about it instead of treating it like written fic. As it deals with some heavier issues, I am keeping it behind a cut just in case. :)

As much as I adore Momo, she is not smart. When the two of them finally got together, she was not one to think about the future, or even like next week, so it had to be Urianger thinking about pregnancy protection. He was the responsible one!

Once life seemed to settle down to a point where they might possibly consider children post EW, nothing seemed to change. Unbeknownst to Momo, she had fertility issues. They worked with a few trusted chirurgeons to see if there was something to help, but nothing they tried seemed to help. And then, maybe? But she lost her first pregnancy in the first trimester, and it became a cycle for them. Long stretches of nothing, only to have another miscarriage.

It tore into Momo's self-confidence and while their relationship didn't necessarily strain their relationship to a tense degree, but it can be a bit hard when your wife is a drooped, depressed shadow of herself.

They arrived at a resolution together; they wouldn't directly adopt, but they'd do what they could to help support their community in teaching any skills they could; Uri reading, studying, and writing. Momo in crafting and cooking.

Settling into this routine helped repair Momo's self-esteem, and with a bit of time.. she was pregnant again. Wracked with nerves as the weeks went by, Momo was so sure she would lose this one like the others. But as she grew rounder and more emotional, it all started to feel more real. And as it grew more real, she was more and more afraid. Her own mother had died shortly after her birth, and Momo had no concept of what a mother was, or the expectations tied to that. And as her fear compounded, she only craved the comfort of her best friend Ishy over that of Urianger. And bless his heart, he managed with this shift as best he could. Momo would spend most of her waking hours with Ishy, craving that sense of comfort and home that had followed their friendship since they met in the Waking Sands.

And eventually she had her child! A healthy little miqo boy, with limbs a bit too long and lanky ears that framed his head. He was named Juniper after one of her favourite trees, her little miracle that thrived beyond their belief.

And though they were never able to replicate that miracle, they are so blessed to have their son! <3
