Algo que olvide mencionar es que Peach y James son bilingües (algo muy obvio). En el caso de James, habla en ingl��s en lengua de señas americana y escribe cosas en español en un pizarron o una libreta pequeña. Peach habla fluido el español, aunque en ocasiones se le olvidan algunas palabras, las mezcla o traduce de forma muy literal y eso provoca que se oiga rara y hasta chistosa jaja.

Ellos también ayudan a su mamá cuando no entiende algo en español.

huge s/o to "across the spiderverse" for sweeping every ethnic group in my hometown, but by far representing the indian population in a big way. i may not live there anymore, but i just know the biggest theater in town which regularly plays bollywood flicks, shares its parking lot with an indian restaurant, and was surrounded by the homes of little old sikh couples raising chickens, must have been packed with indian kids eating the seats when their moment came on that big screen

it's like the ambigious black trope i commented it on a youtube video i saw talking about it and i feel like it's a similar thing where people make these ambiguous biracial characters as an easy way to avoid actually writing blackness and it's just... being biracial blaxican myself i do not resonate with a character who is ambiguous because it doesn't feel like that character is actually meant to be like me when theyre avoiding blackness. if you're writing a biracial then stand on it don't just use that as a way to avoid black features and black culture.

and i think customizable protags end up being similar, since you can technically have the rep without actually putting in that work in the narrative.

like OBVIOUSLY NOT SAYING TO GET RID OF THEM just that like... theres a significant difference between doing a dress up at the start of the game to make my character look black vs a character being written to be unambigiously black and those traits being brought up and described. not even getting into the subtle cultural differences lol
