Concept Art of Coryos & Lucy Grays Bedroom

It took almost a decade for them to get their own space with Lucy Gray insisting of not moving into the more wealthy parts of 12, one of the main reasons being the kids themself. Their bedroom is the biggest room in the simple cottage while also serving as a nursery, playroom, storage and Coriolanus study. Decorated with colorful carpets and wall rugs it does bring over a welcoming charm including added wildflowers in summer. Imagining Lucy Gray also having multiple blankets she collected over the years to build so called nests and keep herself and her kids warm during winter. She also needs something that is as heavy like coriolanus all around her to feel safe. No those are not all Lucy Grays pillows they belong to the kids XD

For the question of why they don’t move into the victors village, Lucy Gray could its her right as a victor but she doesn’t want to. It’s a lonely and miserable quiet place far from everything she loves. Coryo would live there asap. It’s the closest thing having a “fancy” place to live and lifestyle, but he can’t quite argue with his wife about it, not when it is in direct relation to the games.

Blanket Fort Game Time with Moon!

I wanted a new lockscreen for my phone with Moon or Sun or both and came across the so so pretty sleeping Moon pic by imclou and it inspired me to make this pic with Reader hanging out with Moon in a blanket fort playing video games :D

Andrew paused as he looked at the scene in the apartment. The couch was covered in blankets and all the stools and chairs were covered up too. The TV was on playing some film from the turn of the century with a laugh track. He knew the movie title of course, but that’s not what is important. The cats were darting in and out of the blankets chasing and batting at each other.

“What is this?” Andrew asked as he finally entered the apartment and closed the door. A rummaging sound came from the pile.

Finally an auburn head popped out from one of the blankets. “Andrew! Look what Matt showed me!” A crooked smile and gleam in his eyes. Andrew took off his Docs and bag before entering into the mound with Neil’s assistance. Inside the mound it was dark. “Where did I put the switch?” Neil muttered as he felt around near him. “Ah-ha! Okay, this part Dan suggested.” Neil explained as he clicked the switch. Above them the mound lit up with fairy lights. The lights twinkled and covered the top of the mound.

“Oh wow!” Andrew breathed. He lightly touched one of the lights. “What brought this up?”

“Matt was reminiscing about blanket forts he made as a kid and when I said I never made one he called Dan and we built this. I was thinking we could camp out here tonight.” Neil gestured to the makeshift bedding at the sides of the mound. “Matt and Dan also gave me a pile of DVDs and said that it was our homework to watch them all.” Neil pulled out a stack of ten DVDs. Andrew took the pile and started to card through them.

“I haven’t seen any of these.” Andrew admitted as he looked through the different animations. “Did any of these pop out to you to start with?” He laid them out on the ground so they could look at all of the titles.

“Matt thought we should start with A Nightmare Before Christmas or The Princess Bride.” Neil tapped the DVDs. Andrew tapped A Nightmare Before Christmas and grabbed the TV remote. Andrew turned the TV over to the DVD channel as Neil popped the case open. Once the movie was starting Neil wrapped them both into another blanket which goes to show that Andrew having blankets stashed in every room was a smart decision.

“Yes or no?”

“Yes,” Neil replied meeting Andrew’s eyes. Andrew reached around and hugged into Neil. As they moved into a better position for cuddles they moved the DVD pile out of the way. The movie progressed and drew both of them in from the visuals to the soundtrack to the plot. When the movie ended they both were tired and each had a cat on top of their laps.

“Want to stay in the fort tonight instead of moving to the bed?” Andrew asked since he could feel Neil’s breathing begin to even out.

“Yes, Matt and Dan said we needed to do that.” Neil agreed as he stretched like a cat before wiggling into the blanket more.

Andrew gazed at his junkie fondly before turning off the television and fairy lights. When he was done he laid down and looked at Neil’s face. He fell asleep counting the freckles that appeared on Neil’s cheeks from his time in the sun. They both slept peacefully in their blanket fort that night.

Of course, in the morning they awoke to both of their cats meowing for breakfast right in their ears.

“Blanket Fort” Concept Art

Day 8: Find 2-3 objects, make a scene with them. Draw it. Bonus points for creativity. Double points for dramatic lighting.

Figured I would take this chance to make some concept art for an idea I had.

“Blanket Fort”, is a video game concept inspired by the idea of nightmares. The concept is that possessions you own, such as figurines or plushies, protect you from monsters that feed off of fear by causing nightmares. They spawn within dark spaces, such as under the bed, the closet, drawers, etc. You, playing as a toy, must protect your human from these monsters to prevent them from being faced with nightmares.

This game would have similar gameplay to the night missions in Pikmin 4, where you have to fend off enemies before they attack the human too much. If you don’t, then you fail the mission and choose to restart.

While this idea might never become a reality, it has been fun to think about! The possibilities are endless. Maybe there would be customizable avatars with different fighting move sets? For example, an action figure moves faster, but due to the plastic fists it is equipped with, it does less damage. Meanwhile, a stuffed animal will be equipped with a weapon, such as a needle, but have much more awkward movement. Very fun to think about!

what if, and hear me out, the foxes built a blanket fort

it starts with nicky being bored out of his mind on a sunday. he pesters everyone in his dorm to the point that andrew basically kicks him out because he. won’t. stop. whining. nicky is standing in front of matt and aaron’s dorm now. he knocks on the door and aaron opens it.

“what do you want?”

“i’m bored”

“that’s not my problem”

nicky lets himself inside anyway. he flops down on the couch, not caring if he dramatically lands on matt and effectively interrupts the video game he was playing with aaron. nicky grabs aaron’s controller and starts playing badly, but aaron protests loudly and ends up snatching it back. he pushes nicky off the couch then sits back down, sulking. nicky sighs dramatically. and then it hits him. “what if we built a blanket fort?”. aaron snorts. matt smiles. “i’m serious! we could all watch a movie together and order pizza.”

“nicky how old are you?” aaron asks rolling his eyes.

“never too old to have fun.” and then nicky is gone, back to his room. he shoulders his way past andrew’s glare to grab as many pillows and blankets as he can. he tosses them on the ground in the living room, ignoring kevin’s outraged cry because wtf are you doing nicky. then he runs back to matt and aaron to repeat the process. nicky is all too happy to stroll back with aaron and matt’s stuff under his arms. he unceremoniously drops them next to neil. at aaron’s angry words, the girls come out of their room to see what’s going on. “blanket fort!” nicky beams, arms stretched wide to show the pile of blankets and pillows on the floor.

dan smiles. “good idea!”

she disappears inside the girls’ room, followed by renee while allison sits next to neil on the couch and watches nicky, matt, renee and dan assemble a precarious fort with the chairs and table. aaron begrudgingly goes to help while andrew goes to have a cigarette before he murders somebody. nicky goads kevin into ordering enough pizzas to feed a small army. twenty minutes later everyone is crammed into the blanket fort, eating the freshly delivered pizza while a disney movie plays on tv.

"Fiver, I'm—"

G'raha turned, closing the door behind him, and immediately having his train of thought derailed. His entrance was enough to startle Fiver, who was standing on the sofa. He dropped the pillow he was holding and destabilized the rest of what was apparently carefully constructed architecture, turning it into just a pile of what appeared to be every cushion and pillow they owned, plus a few G'raha didn't recognize.

"...home," he finished. He blinked and smiled, bemused. "What are you doing?"

Fiver dropped down into a lotus on the sofa, thinking about his answer for a moment. "I'm bored," he decided, eventually.

G'raha laughed quietly. He walked past into the kitchen and set the groceries he'd been carrying on the counter. He couldn't blame Fiver for being bored. He'd been on chirurgeon mandated rest for nearly a week, recovering from his horrific injuries after Ultima Thule. Healing magic had been enough to stabilize him and save his life, but he had to do the rest of the healing on his own, which was driving him insane. He was healing quickly, but G'raha knew it wasn't quickly enough for someone who liked to be on the move as much as Fiver. He counted himself lucky Fiver hadn't climbed out a window yet.

He went back into the main room and found Fiver methodically rebuilding. G'raha thought for a moment and then trotted past him into the bedroom, gathering up the blankets from the bed. He came back out and Fiver looked at him curiously. He placed the blankets on the sofa and held one up over his head demonstrably.

"For the roof," he said.

Fiver grinned and G'raha joined him in stacking and angling cushions, holding blankets up with chairs and weapons. It collapsed more than once. Far more than once they found themselves distracted, hands and lips finding bare skin as they gave minimal effort to disentangling themselves from blankets. G'raha suspected Fiver sabotaged their efforts several times so he could find himself conveniently underneath the other man.

But, after several hours, G'raha laid down on a pile of cushions in the soft darkness of the overly complicated and architecturally sound fort they'd constructed. He flicked a hand, summoning a bit of aether to release in dimly glowing balls of light that floated up near the blanket ceiling. Fiver flopped heavily down next to him, immediately rolling to wrap G'raha up in his arms and snuggle up against him. G'raha laughed as Fiver shoved his face up into the crook of his neck, murmuring something he couldn't quite hear, but could guess.

"Mmh, I love you too," G'raha said, returning the embrace. It wasn't long before Fiver dozed off, still easily tired as he healed. G'raha tucked his face down against Fiver's hair, closing his eyes, more than content to nap here in his arms.

im just imagining them spending like 2 hours stealing pillows from all over drottningholm (with the discreet help of the staff, who would also be bringing extra pillows into the room while they had snuck off to find more) and using their new huge collection to make a fort. and despite the sheer number of pillows, it's a really shit fort, and it hardly matters because they start messing with each other and end up rolling and knocking the whole thing down on top of themselves anyway.

this got away from me. i love this though. i can't even put the wrong answers things i just really love it.
