honestly, we love afterparty’s newest album, tell it all, but we like a gossip scoop better. #blackwang has been on our wishlist since, like, forever, but it was one of those things that we put on there just to remember that we can still have dreams, like a lambo or a trench from comme des garcons fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection (on this viralgossip reporter’s salary? not a chance in hell.)

so when mimi vang and jett blackwell were spotted stumbling into a car after the ‘tell it all’ album release party? look, just the rumor was enough to give me strength. 

but, look, god was good. and our photographers were onsite to capture the hottest sfw pictures this side of the kilauea eruption earlier this year. no blurry shit. just unmistakable chemistry. 

suffice to say-- #blackwang confirmed. i’m going to go see if i can afford a lambo yet.

We don’t know about you but we had our doubts that Jett would even make an appearance at the Afterparty Party given the tumultuous state of his personal life and his unwillingness to comment on any of the sticky situations surrounding him. Especially with recent speculation regarding him and Afterparty’s Mimi Vang, we weren’t sure we were going to be privy to one of Jett’s memorable event looks; however, not only did he deliver but he damned near crashed instagram while doing so. A pinstripe suit doesn’t seem the most logical attire to wear to a rave but we can definitely excuse him seeing as how he’s bypassed wearing a shirt completely. Tattoos on display, Jett is giving us model level extra-ness in a private photoshoot that appears to have been taken by none other than his rumored girlfriend! Fans have deduced that the other tagged individual is the designer of the suit so why else would Mimi have been featured on the post if not for her involvement with the collage of pics showcasing his choice of attire? Afterparty lyrics were also used as the caption which seems particularly conclusive to us. Whether or not this is #Blackwang confirmation or not, we’ll definitely have all eyes on the enigmatic maybe-couple at the party. It’s sure to be one for the gossip record books!

after both rose quartz and afterparty released singles on ama night, we’ve had an interoffice poll on when a fight would break out. after all, isn’t a major no-no to share the spotlight? i can’t even take it when linda shows up to work wearing the same color as me (yes. fuck you, linda. cerulean clashes horribly with your eyes.)

but, maybe, we were wrong to judge. just because afterparty’s mimi vang is known to combustible (seriously, when is she not subtweeting someone? we can’t keep track.), doesn’t mean the flame she’s fueling is fury.

maybe... it’s the fires of love. 

last night, mimi vang shared a shaky video of herself and rose quartz frontman, jett blackwell, together in what seems to a busy nightclub. they were in high spirits (read, definitely not sober). while all they did was implore their audience to buy their respective singles, our sources say that “they appeared very much in love” and that their romance “grew despite the rival natures of their dueling bands. while they’re free to be friendly in public, their management has forced them to keep their relationship a secret so they can sell albums.”

when a fan commented asking if they were dating, of course, mimi was outright dismissive replying ‘lmao no’, but-- what does that mean in this era of fake news? clearly #BLACKWANG is the romeo and juliet of the modern era. let them love!

MIMI VANG FUELS RELATIONSHIP RUMORS → is there any truth to #kimi or #blackwang... or both?

In last week’s hocus celebrity gossip, Afterparty’s Mimi Vang was not only alleged to be an alien, but also connected romantically to two of the male heartthrobs in fellow band Rose Quartz just by being seen in their vicinity. However, while speculation has mostly petered out on the first allegation (the truth is still out there--- but its also.... out there), Mimi Vang gave new life to the second when she liked a tweet alleging that she was dating the entirety of Rose Quartz. 

And ... it’s a joke, right? 

Despite allegations of rivalry, the two bands have been friendly for a long time. We may have been dismissive before, but, if Mimi’s willing to acknowledge #kimi and #blackwang... maybe it’s time we do too.
